Glad you're back! I was getting worried ngl.

Anyway, now that chapter 13 is out, I'm popping back in with my own thoughts again. It's only two parts this time, don't worry

Part 1: pregnancy (again)

The more I think about I think this pregnancy is scary, not just because it was kinda forced, but just how dangerous it is in general. Even today with modern medicine so much can go wrong from gestational diabetes and an ectopic pregnancy to an amniotic embolysm during burth. Hell, in ancient Greece, childbirth was the leading cause of death for women. The fact that it's twins (even though she doesn't know it yet) puts her at even greater risk.

On the note of twins, I do wonder if during the later part of the pregnancy, if she (and others) will suspect that there's more than one baby. I guess it will depend on how she "carries" her pregnancy.

Finally, while it's kinda obvious that everyone will be hoping for an heir (aka a boy) I imagine Alexander would low key hope for a girl, especially one that looks like the reader. He gives me girl dad vibes, and would no doubt adore and spoil his (literal) little princess. I don't know how he will or would treat a son in comparison though.

For sure!! The Reader's pregnancy is not only forced but there is also every danger involved in her dying during childbirth, something very common for the time. But I've already thought about it and when the time comes, you'll find out. 😉

They will suspect it is twins eventually, due to the size of the belly and also other factors that will be discussed later. Oh boy, there's no doubt that Alexander is going to freak out about this, both ways.

Everyone wants a male heir but Alexander would love to have a girl with Reader and he will have a little princess!! Without a shadow of a doubt, he would love to spoil her and be protective in general with her. With a son, there will be a more old-fashioned upbringing, but Alexander will try to be a better father to his son than his father ever was to him.

Genocide flattens every discussion. There are no new conversations to be had about the destruction, death and cruelty. After more than a year, there is nothing left to be said about various media houses, corporations and international bodies of law aiding and abetting all that has been happening in Gaza, either. It is the banality of evil, it is colonialism. However even in this atrociously banal circumstance, I do think what still is a continued point of hope for Gazans and what still pushes so many of them to reach out to the world, is the support people around the globe have shown and still continue to show. Which is why I am here on behalf of the Shehab family ( @fahedshehab-new ) and requesting  you to help them survive through this winter. This won't take much of your time so please read: 

Fahed is currently supporting 13 family members in total- his own family and that of his sister’s.

He has to look after 8 children now, with the youngest being his son Yayha who is barely having anything to eat because the price of baby milk  is exorbitantly high in Gaza. 

The genocide has taken a toll on Fahed’s daughters. Sahar and Dana spent a whole year under the threat of bombs and right now instead of getting to be teenagers, they ask their father if they will survive. They have even said they don't want to live if they lose someone. 

The family right now immediately needs clothes to keep them warm throughout winter. Fahed’s family is from the north and has been displaced several times before they came south. Displacement is dangerous and a silent killer because often essential items are lost and cannot be replaced in time. 

Please consider that the weather has already turned colder around the world and that which is only mildly uncomfortable to us, presents a dire situation for Gazans. The families don't have a shelter and there is no way for tents to adequately protect from cold winds and rain. So right now the immediate need is for warm clothes and it can cost upto $400 per person. With THIRTEEN PEOPLE to take care of Fahed immediately needs to raise at least 5k to buy the required apparels. So please boost and donate.

hey did you know??? that if you stop stretching and maintaining mobility in your body then it goes away?? things get tight and you can't move the way that you used to??? and when you decide to try getting a stretch routine going that the first week fucking sucks because you keep going 'damn i used to be able to do this no problem' and then you have to switch gears and be kind to yourself and just focus on getting better from here instead of berating yourself for dropping the good habits in the first place??? and your body never stops aging so you gotta keep taking care of it and sometimes you gotta take care of it extra in certain areas because of things that happened when you were younger and it's boring and sometimes hurts but it's so necessary???

speaking of how to train your dragon and creature design, the shift from the really naturalistic art direction and character animation for the first movie's toothless- the face getting flatter, the eyes bigger and closer together, getting rid of the little realistic details like the dust collecting between the scales, the pink splotching where the scales end at the nostrils, the muted markings, the animation making a shift from largely realistic animal behavior to much more anthropomorphic- is such a huge downgrade to me, made worse because it's subtle in such a way that you will sound insane if you mention it

(huge L for the "the audience's capacity to find a creature cute and empathetic and expressive is directly proportional to how much it looks like a human baby" principle of character design because the first one is so so much cuter)
