The risk of dating you his too much for him to handle, so he breaks it off, only for him to come back to your doorstep years later and ask: "Let me marry you."

The risk of dating you is thrilling when Satoru's just a teenager in puppy love. But as he grows older, and heads into those dreaded 20s, the risk makes him more and more nervous.
What if something happens to you?
He presses kiss after kiss to your forehead and feels his chest tremble, feels his lips quiver, as he refrains from telling you the truth about the Jujutsu world. Satoru just can't do it.
There are so many instances of him saving you from curses that you're oblivious about. He just smiles strangely, and you wonder why he looks like he's just seen a ghost. Because he has, those pretty eyes see ghosts. But those pretty eyes also see you, "What am I looking at?" he responds after you ask why he's looking at you so tenderly, "I'm looking at my future wife." he flirts just to fluster you.
That's at the cafe, when things are still simple. He keeps thinking to himself, as he lays with you in bed some nights;
I want to marry you.
I'm going to marry you.
Please let me be your husband one day.
As if he's trying to manifest it.
Everything is okay-ish... until he gets pangs of fright when your name starts to be known outside of his closed circle of friends.
It's October 11th.
Gojo Satoru breaks up with you.
He leads you to believe that the two of you are just "right person, wrong time". It all hurts an incomprehensible amount for him, to finally cut the string that tethers the two of you together.
He sits on the stairs, head in his hands, mourning.
He starts many mornings with crying spells that last until midday.
He destroys evidence of you and him. In case anyone ever finds it and thus finds your apartment, or work, or college... or anything.
But he can't part with a very special photo. It's you and him in Okinawa, sharing a cheesy kiss at the beach. In the moment this photo was captured, Gojo remembers having whispered some dirty joke in your ear and that's why you smiled so big into his kiss.
He drifts to sleep to the lullaby lovesongs that defined your love.
Years pass, he refuses to even talk to you. The heartbreak worsens with time, he laughs when he realizes that on his 27th birthday.
Isn't time supposed to heal all wounds? Someone said that to him once. Well, they must have been lying without realizing it.
The day Gojo Satoru is sealed, he looks into Suguru's eyes, and remembers you through them. When he resides in that awful prison realm, he only thinks of you you you you you you you oh god he misses you so much that it feels like the very thought of your smile stabs his chest. Every memory is painful. Every flashback puts one more crack in his heart.
"Can't I ever catch a break...?" He laughs to himself, chattering skeletons making their eerie symphony around him.
He thinks. Ponders. Wonders. Broods. Daydreams. All about you. Always about you. Never anything else. Just his first love, from the late spring of his 17th year.
His earthly goddess.
The purpose of his benevolent actions.
He cries. And sobs. And weeps. Because no one can hear him but the skeletons and he's sure they don't mind the sight or sound of a 27 man howling in pain over a lost lover.
It's not just your relationship that he's mourning. But the fact he can't feel you in this cube... that he can't feel your presence in the world... that's worse than the heartbreak. At least through all these years, he's been able to sense your existence. Feel the subtle ripples of your soul no matter how distant you are; you'd be stood in a coffee shop, he'd be at Jujutsu High teaching, and yet feeling you.
Because as he promised to you at 17, "Half my soul is yours. And half your soul is mine. I'll always be with you even if I'm not there."
He has the biggest breakdown of his life in that little cramped suffocating claustrophobic eerie creepy box.
It's 19 days later. He's out. He's back in the world. And he feels the sense of you, your existence, swelling in his chest, tickling his mind, prodding his heart.
"Gojo sensei, where are you headed?"
"I'm gonna go find my other half." he says cryptically.
It's a stark bright day.
Gojo Satoru knocks at your apartment door.
You open it.
He looks at you, and you look at him.
"Hi."
"...hey...? Wow. Haha... you grew into your features, huh?"
Your voice fills his heart with life.
"You too... glad you still live in the same place... I was worried you might have moved out..."
"... Ah, Satoru, you'd be able to find me no matter what corner of the world I resided in."
Your laugh fills his mind with pleasant memories.
There's an a magnetism between you and him just like there always used to be. It feels like two magnets connecting at last, after feeling the distant attraction throughout all these years of distance.
"You're right." Satoru says after a silence of just staring into your eyes.
"I'll always find my way home."
A silence ensues after he says this.
"...haha... don't cry... or I'll cry..."
"... Satoru... I thought of you every day after you left me at the station."
"... me too."
"... why did you leave?"
He stares at you.
"... I was scared of you being in danger."
He gulps.
"Me? In danger? But you're the strongest, why would it matter."
Oh god that's right. You said it then when you were 17, "You're the strongest" and he carried that title with him from then. And now you've said it again. He's reminded. He feels a bit stupid. A bit ridiculous. A bit...
"You're right..." he chokes up. "I am. I could have protected you I guess..."
"... yeah, duh."
He smiles meekly.
It was more complicated than that, sweetheart. But I won't tell you.
He hesitates. He contemplates.
"I have to tell you everything... will you promise to believe everything I say even if it sounds insane?"
"Of course. What is it?"
He inhales deeply. And instead of blurting out his whole life story of being a sorcerer in the Jujutsu world, he just leans in and kisses you hard and truthfully. Cups your cheeks. Closes his eyes. Tastes you like a sweet from his childhood that he hasn't had for years. Presses to you. Takes in your scent.
Yeah yeah... he'll tell you everything in a minute.
But for now just let him kiss you until he runs out of breath.
Let him just...
"Hey..." he pulls away, gasping, "Let me marry you."
"Haha, Satoru..." you take it as a joke and laugh, because it sounds as bizarre and unexpected as one. Then you realize there's that serious look on his face. "... Satoru?"
"Can I?"
"... what?"
"Can I please?"
"... huh??"
"Can I marry you, please?"
He looks at you and waits for your answer. His poor heart. It's palpitating. His whole chest cavity inspires with love for you. This man that you haven't seen in years has just asked if you'll let him marry you â with very specific wording.
Can he? Will you let him?
It's funny in a way, because you think to yourself; this is such a Satoru thing to do... show up unannounced years later on your doorstep and ask for your hand in marriage as if no time has passed, as if you know the full story.
"Satoru... what happened to you throughout these years for you to come back to me and ask for my hand in marriage?" you ask, genuinely baffled.
He swallows slowly. "I know I sound like I've lost my mind. But I promise I haven't."
"That's hard to believe. The Satoru I remember was always on the brink of mania. A bit insane but not quite."
You make him laugh. "Yeah..."
"So are you asking to marry me out of insanity?"
"No."
"Well alright then. I guess I'll marry you."
You make him laugh again, with that funny tone. He hasn't laughed genuinely in years... it's always been that plastic laugh. But this is his genuine laugh. Silky and quiet. The opposite of his demeanor.
"I guess I should be explaining everything to you properly... before I ask you something like that."
"You're damn right..."
"... don't scold me too hard when I tell you all the reasons I left. Or, if you do, then at least hold me while you scold me. And run your fingers through my hair like you used to."
"Satoru."
"Yes?"
His heart throbs. He looks at you.
"Stop standing at the doorway and come inside."
"Oh."
You sigh. He smiles. Then he bows his head so it doesn't hit the top of the doorframe. Damn tiny Tokyo apartments. Your archway always had it out for the crown of his head. You laugh when he bumps into it just like he always used to.
So the two of you sit down and just talk. And talk. Maybe cry a bit. Actually, you cry a lot. And he holds you. And he says he's sorry. He says sorry over and over, as if the word is a bandage he's trying to wrap around all your heartbreak wounds that he caused.
"I'm sorry."
Satoru's apologies aren't easy to come by, and when you receive them, they nurse your heart. It's the gentleness with which he says it, and earnest too. Each successive sorry means more than the last.
"My angel..."
When you call him this after he vents to you about his time in the Prison Realm, and his overwhelming duty of being the strongest, he breaks down completely and just weeps in your arms.
He sobs like you've never heard him sob before, like a dog.
Finally. At least for a moment. He could be weak. Let down his guard. Be raw. Be emotional. Not a teacher. Not a sorcerer. Just your boy. Your Satoru.
Your consolation is all he wanted throughout these years. He looks up at you, eyes red and sore, nose sniffling, and stares at you like he can see your soul.
"...Satoru?"
"Marry me."
You chuckle again.
"If that will stop your tears..." you joke.
He sniffles loudly and swallows, composing himself.
"I thought about marrying you so much when we were together... 'n I tried so hard to bite my tongue when your name nearly rolled off it while talking to my students some days. I was always..."
On the verge of saying your name.
He sniffles long and hard and waits for your hand to weave into his hair.
"Will you think about it?"
"I will."
There's a silence. Satoru feels hopeful. He lays on your chest, arms around you like you're his whole world that he won't dare let go of again.
"There." you say with finality. "I thought about it. Let's get married."
"That took you, like, ten seconds."
You laugh with him. "Yeah... I already knew in my heart when you asked me at the doorway... you know... Satoru... it's funny. When you left, it felt like half my soul was gone. And when you knocked on my doorstep, it felt like I was whole again. Does that sound freaky, or does it tie into all this... Juju... Jujutsu stuff?"
He's silent.
"I have no idea."
"Wow. My future husband isn't knowledgeable at all." you joke.
His heart flutters at 'future husband'.
"Sorry." he says, smiling softly, "My mind is blank when your fingers are running through my hair."
The two of you go on and on, until you're laid in bed sleeping at each other's side. Resting. And god, did Gojo Satoru need a good rest.
In your arms, he's no longer an insomniac.

Ayaka is in Love with Hiroko - The Lesbian Office RomCom You Needed
Blatant flirting, hilarious misunderstandings, and lesbian shenanigans aplenty - this show is funny, over-dramatic, and most of all gay as hell. Here's my review! Spoiler-free version first, and a more detailed spoiler-y version under the cut. I hope you enjoy!
A quick summary: Overall: 9/10, you should absolutely watch this! Genre: RomCom, with some serious elements and a heartfelt exploration of sexuality Watch if you are looking for... : A silly and fun time, a happy ending, misunderstandings, and character development. Highly recommended to watch this with your partner(s) or your sapphic friends! Watch out for... : Although the tone of the show is mostly comedic, it contains discussion & depiction of homophobia at the workplace and past trauma relating to that Where to watch: Official TL on GagaOOLala, or Fansubs by @furritsubs (highly recommended!)
"Ayaka is in Love with Hiroko" (Ayaka-chan wa Hiroko-senpai ni Koishiteru) is a Jdrama adaption of a manga by the same title. The series premiered this year July 2024 and has wrapped up a short while ago, with a total runtime of 8 episodes of 24 minutes each.
The title of the show already says all; the plot is simple: Junior staff member Ayaka is head-over-heels for Hiroko, her senior at the company she works at. And she has decided to go on the offensive.
There are many obstacles in Ayaka's way: first of all, Hiroko is 13 years older than her (they are 23 and 36), and her superior at the workplace. Hiroko is beloved by both her superiors as well as her staff, so Ayaka's love for her is just one of many. And no matter how blatantly she ups her advances (and girl, she is BOLD), Hiroko is 100% convinced that all the flirting is just misplaced, straight-woman obliviousness.
The irony of it all is that Ayaka is absolutely barking up the right tree, because Hiroko is a lesbian, but has been firmly in the closet at work - something that she has no plans on changing. Her professional life and her personal must stay completely separate, at all cost. The only place she can truly be herself is the lesbian bar she's been a regular at for years.
^ Me when I'm a lesbian disaster doing insane mental gymnastics
However, "giving up" is not in Ayaka's vocabulary. As her seduction attempts keep escalating and being misunderstood, Hiroko's hard exterior begins to crumble bit by bit. Can Hiroko finally overcome her rigid ways, and let herself fall for someone?
Although the show is first and foremost a comedy, both Ayaka and Hiroko as characters are handled really well. They have their own problems, insecurities, reservations about the other, and both have a simple but great arc over the course of the series. Ayaka is discovering her sexuality, something she had never even considered before falling for Hiroko. What does being in love with a woman mean for her future? And Hiroko, who is already very confident in her sexuality, is confronted by her past trauma, and the fact that she's still not ready to come out despite the changing times. And while being undercover has saved her career in the past, it has also made her feel alone and isolated. She likes Ayaka back, but can't allow her true colors to show.
Something that I find very hard to achieve with comedy shows is the switch between funny and serious, and I think that Ayahiro manages this very well. Both of our main characters feel grounded enough in reality that when they get emotional, it feels relatable and sincere. For a silly show like this, striking a balance like that is crucial, and save for a few pacing issues in the later half of the show (that I honestly didn't mind at all), I think the show totally nails it. Ayahiro is not a realistic show, but it contains elements of reality that made me connect to it, despite all the insane shenanigans that go on. And because of that the show made me laugh and cry as much as it did, often in the same episode. It works, and Kudos to the writers (and actors!) for that.
Speaking of actors, one thing I must mention is that the show is very well made. The actors (especially Mori Kanna as Hiroko is the standout for me, she has a natural charisma and gay swagger) do a fantastic job, the leads' chemistry is great. The production overall has some real money behind it, with lots of changing sets that all look great and have been crafted with care. Ayaka's outfits are absolute KILLER, she is giving insane femme energy. The show also looks very pretty, the color graders turn that saturation up to 100 and it fits Ayaka's rose-tinted world well.
That's it for the spoiler-less part, I'll now get into specific characters and plot points with full spoilers up to the end of the series under the cut. If you don't want to get spoiled, I hope the review until now made you want to watch the show for yourself! I hope you enjoy!
First of all I need to disclaim that I have not read the original manga that she show is based on, so I can't compare the series to its original and how the plot is written there. I do intend to read it (I hope it gets localized to German so I can support the official release, but I might check out the English Official TL anyway before that) but for now, I will only judge the series as is.
Ayaka: Our protagonist is a femme fatale, in... another meaning of the word, I guess. She is a disaster, bad at pretty much everything she does except not giving up. Once she has set her mind to something, she will get it done. That leads her to often be inconsiderate and unable to see what others around her are feeling, which goes mostly for her best friend Risa, but also for Hiroko, whose feelings she also fails to consider even when pursuing her. Ayaka has to learn the hard way that her naivete is hurting others, and herself. She hasn't really thought her advances through, simply acting on instinct. But as the series goes on, she takes her feelings and her newly discovered sexuality seriously, and grows comfortable with calling herself a lesbian. She is also unashamedly horny, like, Oh My God, this girl is trying to get laid so bad. This is hilarious and refreshing to see, and although her seduction attempts are often played as comedic, it doesn't feel like she is being ridiculed for her sexuality by the show. Ayaka often crosses boundaries (physical and emotional) with Hiroko, both out of naivite and in deliberate attempts to seduce her. To me this was never truly infuriating, even though sometimes she really did go too far, but for me it always kept in tone with the comedy of the show. Even when Ayaka finally comes out in front of the entire office, she makes it clear that she doesn't want Hiroko to do the same if she's not ready.
Hiroko: Our deuteragonist is probably my favourite character in the show, and I think she's very relatable and well done. As an older lesbian, she's got plenty of experience, having even earned the title of "The Ace" in her lesbian friend circle for being a talented womanizer. But a traumatic experience of losing her last partner due to being found out at the workplace has changed her. She's afraid to get attached, she's unable to let people get close to her true self. So when Ayaka is fighting tooth and nail to get to her, Hiroko is caught in conflict between her feelings of attraction and her past trauma. She does everything in her power to dismiss Ayaka's advances to protect herself, and later when she learns that Ayaka is in fact not straight (duh), she still turns her down to protect Ayaka's (and her own) career. Hiroko is a bit of a conservative - something she's also called out for in her lesbian friend circle - she believes that coming out at work is impossible and irresponsible. And you know, I get it. Not only does she have personal bad experiences with exactly that, it's also not unreasonable to think it would be a bad idea to hook up with your junior of 13 years. Like, I get it girl. Hiroko is clearly attracted to Ayaka, not just physically but also emotionally, because Ayaka is everything Hiroko wants to be but can't. And that leads to Hiroko constantly underestimating Ayaka, even treating her like a child. She thinks Ayaka is not really thinking the gravity of her actions through, and she gets called out for that and has to overcome it. In the end, Hiroko ends up being a character that needs time, and needs to unlearn a whole bunch of shitty behaviour, something the show clearly also shows is being worked on and that Ayaka also respects (more on that later).
Risa: Easily the character I struggled with the most, Ayaka's best friend Risa is complicated. She's very observant but also shy, and secretly harbors a crush on Ayaka. Quietly struggling with her sexuality, she only decides to come out when she realises that Ayaka's feelings for Hiroko are serious. Oh, it's messy! She confesses to Ayaka, who in turn has to struggle with her feelings for someone else, but also not wanting to lose her closest confidant. And to her credit, Risa takes the rejection quite gracefully and continues to support Ayaka in her pursuit of Hiroko. However, Risa also outs Hiroko against her will to Ayaka, which... is just a shitty thing to do, even though she just wanted to help her friend. Good motive, still murder. After the conflict between Ayaka and Risa is resolved, Risa just kind of... is around, quietly worrying in her corner and kind of (in my opinion) overstepping her boundaries with Hiroko. I don't dislike Risa, but I thought her character was not done super well in parts, and although I understand the complicated situation she herself is in, the show doesn't really let her grow as much as the other characters. Anyway, good for her for bagging the hottest chick at the lesbian bar, though. Good for her!
The "break-up": The story's conflict comes to a peak when Hiroko finally realises there is only one way to shut this all down. She needs to fulfill Ayaka's desire, and then turn her down, once and for all. But Hiroko at this point still thinks Ayaka is immature and hasn't really thought her actions through. Ayaka sheepishly asks for a kiss, so Hiroko kisses her. "Now you've achieved everything you wanted." We're done, you can give up on me and this childish crush you have on me. And most importantly, I can let you go, too. Not realising that Ayaka wants much more. She wants a real relationship, she wants the kiss, sex, real emotions, she wants to see Hiroko's true self too. She wants a partnership.
The Finale: With the encouragement of her peers, Ayaka finds the courage to express her feelings to Hiroko one last time. And she finds just the right words to finally get through to her. Hiroko realises how much of an ass she's been all this time, how she ended up hurting the girl she loves and herself by denying herself happiness. This whole scene was so well done (Kudos to Kato Shiho as Ayaka, this is probably her best scene in the entire show), brother I cried so hard. And finally Hiroko can say what she should have a long time ago: "I'm sorry."
One year later: In the show's worst case of bad pacing, we immediately cut from their tearful reunion to "one year later", lol. I don't mind the sudden jump too much, but maybe a bit of a slower fade-out would have softened the blow, because I think a few people probably found this very jarring xD not too bad for me. I was actually positively surprised that we actually get to see the aftermath, see how their relationship has developed a year into it.
I've seen a few people complain about this "no-sex scene" (lol) and I just want to add my two cents. I actually really like how this scene played out, for two reasons. Reason 1 is that it's just very much in-character for Hiroko. We've seen her struggle back-and-forth with the intimacy Ayaka wanted from her for the past 7.5 episodes, and her own internalised homophobia and constant fear of "crossing the line". She's a traumatized person, and it makes total sense to me that even one year into the relationship, she's still struggling with sexual intimacy. Sure, a whole year is a long time not having sex with your partner (even though you both clearly wanted to from day 1) but like... it makes sense for Hiroko. She's still working through the past 10+ years of repression. I do understand how this scene can be interpreted as "the show is afraid to show them being horny and sexy together, they're cowards for making Hiroko so obsessed with Ayaka's "purity" etc" and like, yes, that is a totally valid interpretation, but IMO also a quite bad faith one.
"I'm happy to know you feel that way. Which is why, could you please wait a little more, just until I sort my feelings out?" "What?" "I want to cherish you, Ayaka." "Right." "I'm sorry for everything, Ayaka." "For everything?" "In the end, it seems like I still haven't came out yet. I understand that I'm making you endure something when you don't have to. But⊠I do want to be with you, and I want to keep my job. I'm really sorry for making you put up with my selfishness."
^ Like, that is the conversation that follows. It's not just about sex for Hiroko, that kind of intimacy holds a deeper meaning to her and she's just not ready for it yet, and trying to sincerely tell her partner that. And when Ayaka reaffirms her willingness to be patient in this scene and is respectful of Hiroko's choice, Hiroko realizes that she's being a stupid coward, and finally makes a decision...
... to come out in front of the whole office, who's been gossiping about their relationship the whole year anyway.
And that is the end of the show!
So really, Hiroko did manage to overcome her fears in the end, and it took her a whole year into a healthy relationship to do so. And I think that is honestly much more realistic than some people would like to believe. Is the smooch in front of the whole office silly and cheesy and over-dramatic? Of course, but that's the entire show so far. And if you think that kiss-and-dip is dumb then I can't help you, I think you just don't like fun.
Oh yeah, and my reason 2 why I thought that no-sex scene was done well is because it's just funny. Ayaka has been DTF since minute 1 of the show, and her still being unable to get it this far into it is just funny. I would have loved a little nod to them finally getting down at the very, very end, but eh, I can live with it like this. They've conquered the emotional hurdles, I'm certain they will cross that other bridge when they get there on their own time.
Conclusion: "Ayaka is in Love with Hiroko" is a great and incredibly funny lesbian show that touched me emotionally much more than I thought it would. It made me cry several times, the production and acting quality positively surprised me, and honestly deserves my Nr 2 spot of favourite Lesbian JDrama after Tsukutabe (which is a 10/10 show) for now. I really hope this type of show gets imitators, adapting relatively short stories into mini-series with great quality. I appreciate the more adult tone of this series, its shameless comedy while still being able to hit serious beats with real emotion. From what I've seen of the BTS, the actors and staff also handled the subject matter with respect and care and had a lot of fun making the show. I don't think a season 2 is needed, but I do hope that the series can inspire more similar works. I love Ayaka and Hiroko, and I'm so happy they got their happy ending, and by God, I hope they have the best sex ever in their beautiful lesbian future. God bless.
That's it from me, thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoyed this show as much as I did! Hopefully see you soon!

Succession war Kurapika
I've completed all the available HXH chapters (400), and there were a few scenes that really stood out to me with Kurapika.
I love and adore him as the main character of this arc, and we've seen his perspective and his downward spiral in yorknew.
Seeing him now, and how far he's strayed definitely makes his POV the most interesting to me.
I wanted to point out/ talk about some of the panels throughout the SW.
This panel especially stood out to me, and it's one of my favorites out of the entire manga. He mentions how every time he got a part of his brethren back- he lost something. While I think it could be a physical presence, I think he's talking about himself here more than anything.
Each time he's threatened, coaxed, paid people off, he's lost a part of himself.
Kurapika strays away from his relationships, while to protect them- and also what I believe is out of guilt (and the other which I'll go over in a moment). I think he knows what he's doing to himself, and I don't think he can handle facing it head on, or risking harming his friends physically or emotionally.
And again, when Kurapika agrees to join the zodiacs.
Straying even from Leorio, it's clear he'd rather face things alone, and without distractions. Which is exactly what they are, distractions.
His quest to collect his family is coming to an end. "Where would I go?" I think he means this in a literal, and metaphorical sense. Where will he end up by the end of this? Which path will he go down? He has no place to call home, and he truly believes he has nothing left, and nobody to welcome him back.
Despite having allies, and who quickly became close friends.
He didn't realize it at the time, but shortly after teaming up with Bill and others- he understood the importance of allies.
"Things didn't proceed so simply", things weren't as simple as gathering pawns, and walking the path of revenge alone.
He formed genuine bonds that mean more to him than simple pawns for his quest. He's now torn between his isolation, and his care for his friends. Despite this, he will continue to punish himself and walk this path alone- it's much harder than he'd originally intended. Pushing his friends away to complete his goal, because it serves as his only purpose in his eyes. Even if he knows it's wrong.
Oito asks if spying on the 4th prince is for his convenience. Kurapika takes a moment, and tells her this is simply a strategic choice. I don't think he's lying, but I do think he wants to protect her, and wobble- while still keeping contact with the Prince.
At the moment, he will prioritize protecting the two of them. I think it happens to align with his goal, but it isn't necessarily for his convenience.
The reason I bring this up is to highlight that despite the fact he wants to push his friends away, and work towards his goal- he won't risk the lives of others.
He says he will repeat it as many times as needed, that they are there to protect her and the prince. To trust him.
He tries to be someone who will risk everything for the sake of recovering the eyes, but deep down he can't. Much like how he cannot truly abandon his friends, only isolate himself.
Kurapika is loyal, and unwilling to sacrifice others for the sake of his goal. He forced a stalemate, and took advantage of his nen knowledge to level out the playing field. A stalemate buys them more time, making it so it won't be as easy for experienced nen users to take advantage of non nen users.
It was a brilliant idea that may be risky, but also offers protection for him, and the queen.
During this conversation with Mizaistom, it's clear that Kurapika has not abandoned all of his morals, he wants to avoid killing the Prince despite having the remaining eyes. He would rather try other methods, and is opposed to killing.
Mizaistom and Kurapikas dynamic is one of my favorites, but that's for another time.
That's all I have to talk about, for now. I wanted to go over my favorite panels, and his relationships in the succession war.

The ultimate reference sheets for all of Vash's outfits in Trigun maximum (with commentaries)
IT IS DONE. I'M FREE. Now I can forget all about Trimax and draw Trigun stampede designs only hahaha (just kidding I have things for Trimax on the stove).
Trigun bookclub was an awesome initiative, I loved the manga with my all heart and wanted to honor Nightow's designs ;w; I also wanted to help my fellow artists with references for Vash's clothes because DEAR GOD it's difficult to understand how the hell he dresses himself in the morning. I have a lot of fun dressing and undressing him like a barbie doll. My hyperfixation is completely healthy.
I put a "read more" section to avoid spoilers :) !
The July coat
The very first coat in Trigun chronology and the one he wores during the destruction of July ! There is not a lot of panels to take references but I tried to stay as close as possible to the manga. I don't know what number of prosthesis he had before but let name this one Prosthesis 1.
Scars map
Next, nakey Vash ! There's A LOT of changes between one panel to another. Scars changes places and forms panel to panel and the design evolved from the first chapters of Trigun, the time we see him naked as Eriks and his undressed state while he was a prisoner on the Ark. I drew the scars that appeared more than once or were in clean view in a panel (but really you can do like Nightow and draw as many scars as you want without thinking about consistency, this boy has been in a meat grinder)
After July underclothes
Or the jumpsuit that gave me grey hair. His suit does not make ANY sense, I don't know how the hell he dresses himself in the morning with this. My solution is that it's very long gloves and chaps strapped to a belt. The position and shapes of the belts changes IN EVERY PANEL. Same for his knee guards, sometimes they're here, sometime they cover his shins, sometimes they are tiny..... I gave up in the end and draw them as we see them in the very last panel he wears this suit. But damn he looks good in it.
Also in all of the 13 volumes, there is not a single panel with a clear view of his holster (I checked...) so here is my interpretation.
This is prosthesis n°2, the design is a little different from the first one so I guess Prosthesis 1 got destroyed (this happens a lot).
After July coat
The very first Trigun coat he wears in the manga ! Very simple, very basic, it gives him impossibly wide shoulders but Vash deserves it. The first one is worn Post July until Vash's confrontation against Brilliant Dynamite Neon. The second one is the state of his coat after the sandsteamer incident. He loses his prothesis after his fight against Monev the gale. He meets Wolfwood with only one arm and stays that way while he fights Knives for the first time.
Eriks
I took liberties with colors because there's no colored panels with Vash as Eriks. Yes I drew him without suspenders because he has them for like 5 panels and then Nightow drew him without them for the rest of Eriks arc so I made choices ;w;
I love the fact that Vash choose to wear tight jeans even in his casual outfits, this boy will not let his skin breath. This is now Prosthesis 3 ! It's way less advanced than the ones he wore in the rest of the manga, the other ones seem to replicate skin.
After his years as Eriks
And now the first Maximum coat, he wears it until the famous Yuri hospital arc! Finally an undersuit that makes sense, I love it, too bad Nightow-san decided that I had to suffer and changed it again to add BELTS EVERYWHERE. We only see his legs in this part of the manga so I gave him the same top because I can.
The tubes he has on his waist are filled with bullets, he can connect them to his prosthesis to have a mini machine gun.
We are now at Prosthesis 4 !
Hospitalization on the Home ship
The famous Yuri hospital phase! Vash definitely shared his wardrobe with Wolfwood, you can't tell me otherwise.
The first outfit still shows Prothesis 4 but he keeps it for like 5 minutes and lost it again against Nine-lives. I don't really know if the prothesis comes with the integrated glove or if there's synthetic skin under it but why would he keep the glove on if it's not intergrated?
The second pictures is the different outfits he wears during his convalescence. I took liberties with the colors, I drew this in like 10 minutes, everything seems easy when you don't have to draw BELTS. We are now on Prothesis 5 ! Nightow drew it as a regular arm so I guess Vash wears gloves on top of it??????
Back on the road in pursuit of Knives
He wears this one after his stay at Home, throughout the Dragon's nest ark and until his 2nd fight against Knives.
I liked the design of his jumpsuit until I looked closer at the panels and saw that the design change ON EVERY ONE OF THEM. Knee guard on only one knee? No kneeguards? Two??? WHO KNOWS ??? I tried to make it work but really go wild with this one, even the author does not know how his pant looks.
Still prosthesis 5, BUT UNTIL WHEN?
Prisoner on the Ark
THEY MASSACRED MY BOY. Did they even feed him at least in 7 months? Those pictures are the definition of the drenched kitty cat left under the rain. Give this man a blanket and a therapist.
Bye bye Prothesis 5 ! And see what I mean when I say that his outfit does not make sense????? It comes out in parts????
After his imprisonment on the Ark
The last suit in the manga! He keeps this coat until the end of the story. From this point, only his hair changes (or the color of his coat).
I adore the little angel wing symbol on his left arm, such a cute addition. Too bad it appears in one of the most traumatic event of his life.
Speaking of his jumpsuit...The return of belts.... But at least this outfit stays relatively coherent except for his kneeguards who appear and disappear panel from panel but most of the time he doesn't have any, so no kneeguard it is. Prosthesis 6 hello !
Final battle and end of the story
It hurted to drew those outfits ;w; And working on the design of his coat when he fights Legato made me realize where Orange studio took inspiration to chose the colors for Vash's coat in the final episode of Stampede ! Great job ! I tried to color the same effects as one of the illustrations showing dark Vash but I'm not really good with colors..... He actually radiates energy but with some purple undertones, I took some liberties because those are my drawings I do what I want.
I'm not sure at 100% that he has a tuft of blond hair left when his outfit turns black but his hair is all black at the end of the fight. His prosthesis is destroyed at the end of the fight. He got another one in the final chapter. So 7 prosthesis throughout the story!
#play with vash like a barbie doll#I love reference sheets#took years to do but it helps so much when drawing comics#or writing fics#how the hell do you expect me to show him undress if I don't know how his clothes work#anyway enjoy#vash the stampede#vash#trigun#trigun maximum#a's art

âItâs between loversâ
RonToto shippers, we have our own version of Gojo-Geto off JJK0 or the Whisper scene from âLost in Translation.â
I admit that plot-based voice cancellation is the least favorite trope of mine. But, what is it exactly?
Sometimes, one line can change everything â for the characters as well as the audience. So, often, if that line has to come up early on, it will be cancelled out by some other noise, such as a truck passing or a plane taking off, or, in the case of dream worlds and other special cases, for no obvious reason whatsoever.
After being annoyed trying to find out from the mouth of Sofia Coppola what actually could Bob mean when he whispered something to Charlotte , she had this to say on the filmâs 15th anniversary,
Just acknowledging that week meant something to both of them and it affects them going back to their lives. People always ask me whatâs said. I always like Billâs answer: that itâs between lovers â so Iâll leave it at that.â
Or Gojoâs words that made Geto say âYou should at least curse me at the end.â
The only thing that was definite and official is that Ron saysâthank youâ to Toto, courtesy of Crunchyroll.
But Ronâs speech was long and if you look at Totoâs reaction it would be a life-altering moment. This isnât the simple declaration of comradeship. This is something more intimate thinking that the anime crew knows the implications of these scenes to the viewers. They understand what are we going to say after we watch the scenes unfold. The effects, the way the story will evolve after this arc.
Totoâs pupils are dilated for one. His mouth is a complete O. These appearances are not part of the manga. These are anime exclusive.
What did Sherlock say about dilated pupils?
Irene Adler: Oh, dear God. Look at the poor man. You don't actually think I was interested in you? Why? Because you're the great Sherlock Holmes, the clever detective in the funny hat?
Sherlock Holmes: No... because I took your pulse: elevated; your pupils: dilated. I imagine John Watson thinks love's a mystery to me, but the chemistry is incredibly simple and very destructive. When we first met, you told me that disguise is always a self-portrait; how true of you. The combination to your safe: your measurements - but this⊠[taking her cell phone] ... this is far more intimate. This is your heart, and you should never let it rule your head.
How about the scientific side of it :
Why Eyes Dilate: Increased Oxytocin
Oxytocin is the warm and fuzzy love hormone released after intimate connection. In empathic, healthy people (i.e. not psychopaths), oxytocin gets released after a hug, a sweet conversation, seeing a baby, or connecting strongly with someone. When oxytocin releases, pupils often dilate too.
The censored dialogue might irritate me along with the non-announcement of season 3. But, I still keep optimistic bc for the meantime we have these chapters animated. It is in our power to reinterpret it through fan fiction and fan arts. I just hope that this is not the end of interpreting Akira Amanoâs work to our TV or handy screens.

The Genos style analysis i was talking about (only it's just an amateur's rumbling)
I just love clothes and fashion and rumbling about them, just like everyone i know, and it can keep me up to unholy hours of the morning lol, anyways, Genos is one of my fave opm characters, i just love his design, his personality and ofc his fights! He's one of the characters that changes his style often in the series and i find that really interesting, we gushed over it a bit earlier but i wanted to make a more detailed analysis over it. (i say that, but don't expect much from me, i'm not some proessional fashion designer or stylist, i just love clothes)
Season 1:
Earlier Genos style, he wears jeans/plain trousers, simple sleeveless shirts showcasing his cool intricate high-tech arms, he wears knee length boots in his first outfit and sneakers on the others. For accessories, he does like to wear different types of belts and he has earrings on (both earrings and shirts are practical, I assume his whole outfit is supposed to be light for his fighting, also as it was pointed out in the comments, he does destroy his clothes a lot so he probably need a change often). His hair is styled down, it's disheveled in a stylish way.
don't get me wrong, he looks good but it's pretty basic and doesn't say my about his tastes as you may say.
Now starts season two: (that's when i started the manga and started to notice his style, i didn't give it much attention before)
immidiately we can see a little style improvement with the addition of accesories like a jacket i'm sure he doesn't need for anything else than to look cool, and that such a nice fit on the lower pics, i love the turtle neck and truck pants tucked in those stylish boots (especially coupled with those new part.)
(the first pic seems to be his default outfit at home, nice armor tho), the second pic is so nice? like the baggy pants and big ass belt, also the insane armsi love that, not to mention we got a new haircut;
it saddly only lasted for one arc,
We se variations of that outfit throughout the arc, for me it's the arms, how can Murata manage to draw such amazing designs?
Monster association arc:
right off the bat, it starts pretty strong. i mean look at that hoodie, i want it! but if this was good then wait for it...
This look is gorgeous!!!! look at that jacket and pants and more importantly his centipede gear!! (it's so sad it had to go)
Honorable mentions:
in conclsuion, Genos's style and looks is his way to express himself and the more we progress down the story the more we see him in some really good items, i feel like it's not about a change of style completely but the existence of two styles, one more plain and simple for everyday wear and another for when he wanna make an entrence and is feeling pretty confident and good about himself, bless ma boi.
Side notes:
Neo Heroes saga:
this is so funny, i bet he does it on a daily basis at this rate lol (the only thing that doesn't change is his face, but you can't change perfect đ„ș my Boi is, soft features and demon eyes đ so endearing) .
There's nothing much to say here, he's shirtless, he's going for that apparently (again very confident), the armory is simple enough, except for the chest, i like that sobre darker look, reminds me of drive knight and i love that guy's design.
in fact, i have a feeling Genos machinery is gonna look simpler in the future but also more efficient, i wanna see the strongest cyborg Genos design, i imagine it'd be the most simple but solid and unbeatable.
unpopular opinion i'd appreciate more parted hair/pulled back:
it'd be cool if i found an analysis on Amai sweet Mask or Sonic's style, these are the stylish trio in my heart. if it had already been done i'd love to read it, although doing it myself would take years since this took a week and i'm not ready to do it again anytime soon lol XD
#Opm#one punch man#opm genos#manga#opm manga#opm spoilers#genos#fashion in manga#demon cyborg#It's literally 5 am#alright thank you

Advice for One Piece theoretists about the upcoming Strawhat crew members
I watched this vid so you all don't have to. The only thing Ohara got right is Law tbh (but the arguments he listed for him are so-so, he could have fished out so much more). I saw lately a post with big advice for One Piece theoretists to go back to their roots (early sagas), so now here's my piece of advice for all of you who want to crack the mystery of who the last Strawhats are gonna be:
crewmate (nakama) =/= friend (tomodachi). The word nakama appears in manga only when Luffy means "crewmate", it's been always consistent, because that word is clearly a big deal for Luffy. Someone who travels with Strawhats isn't automatically a crewmate. Not every friend will end up becoming a new crewmate either. Remember Water 7? Being a crewmate is a serious business, it's not just regular friends we snatched on our way. Once you're a crewmate, you're part of the family, basically. Family yakuza-style, might I add. Once you join you can't just quit because you feel like it, it's a commitment. So friends like Rebecca, Viola, Stussy, Lilith, Carrot, Bon Clay, Koby are not gonna become actual crewmates. They will always remain friends with Strawhats though!
not every crewmate will choose to take the journey with Strawhats. Take Vivi, Kin'emon or Momonosuke for example. They have their own responsibilities. That being said, if their duties ever get fullfilled, they're hopping on the crew 100%. I can see that happen with Vivi, not so much with Kin and Momo though, Wano is not gonna go anywhere, right? (or is it? :D)
Luffy made promise to Yamato. It's a promise he wants to keep in Ace's stead. This is important for him. People should start taking this seriously and I'm not sure why they don't.
plot convenience isn't enough of an argument for someone joining or not. That would be kinda bad storytelling ngl. Just because someone has "no other place to go" or "would be so useful on the crew" doesn't mean they will become a Strawhat. Being a crewmate ain't so cheap.
potential crewmate doesn't even have to be a friend at first to become a crewmate. Remember Franky's or Robin's case? Luffy was hostile towards Franky for the whole arc, not counting the very final chapters when Franky build them a new ship for free, which is The Moment when Luffy finally started liking him. At the literal end of the arc.
Luffy's final word is the most important one. Try to think of his own criteria, instead of trying to guess what's in Oda's head. Luffy is a simple boy, his criteria are also pretty simple and every Strawhat fits those. It's not about long, tragic and satisfying flashbacks (Zoro's flashback is short, for example), bonding over food, or stuff like that. You want to find Luffy's criteria, go all the way back to the beginning when Luffy meets Koby and then Zoro.
the last Strawhats do not have to be people from early sagas! Early sagas are important, but ignoring the later ones is a huge mistake. There are a few really nice theories that help you narrow it down: for example the theory of 13 Strawhats. Since as early as first OP chapters Luffy's crew is called Mugiwara Ichimi (which means Strawhat crew, but ichimi can be read as a pun: ichi means one, san means 3, Oda loves puns and number plays like that and uses them all the time, also in chapter titles). People also noticed this helpful pattern: there are always four Strawhats joining from each sea Luffy adventures in (Nami, Sanji, Zoro, Usopp from East Blue; Chopper, Robin, Franky, Brook from Paradise; that leaves us with Jimbei and three others from the New World).
Yes, I'm a believer in 13 Strawhats theory, just like most Japanese fans. Oda likes giving obscure hints for that theory scattered around. But the actual answer lies in this image:
You have all 13 Strawhats here, disguised as cats. All you need to do is crack the code and figure it out. Have fun!
My hint is: start from who Luffy considers and called a nakama. You need to search through the whole story for it :D
#one piece#trafalgar law#strawhats#13 Strawhats theory#one piece theory#yes I do know the answer to this image#and it's been hell knowing it while all I can do is wait for it to finally happen#but solving the puzzle itself was extremely fun that's why I'm not gonna steal your fun :D

Ruby the Actress (major Manga spoilers!)
Ruby is probably my favourite character in Oshi No Ko. Sheâs someone who at first seems really simple and straightforward, but as the story progresses it becomes more clear sheâs more complex than that.
In the current arc, a lot of parallels are being drawn between Ruby and Ai, Ai is central to Ruby. As Sarina, Ai was her escape and her idol. As Ruby, Ai was her mother (and still her favourite idol). Ruby both loves Ai, wants Ai to love her and wants to emulate Ai. Ruby is borderline fanatical about Ai.Â
But how similar are they?
The narrative has portrayed Ruby both as one of the more honest/straightforward characters, but also asserted that she has been lying/acting this whole time, so whatâs the truth?
Ruby isnât a step-ford smiler and doesnât have any issue with expressing negative emotions. Whether itâs her initial hostility towards Kana or her nerves before a big show or throwing a childish tantrum about a song.Â
Itâs hard to imagine Ai being comfortable being this emotionally open around someone. Even when Ai was insulted by a friend on B-Komachi she hardly had any outward emotion, compared to Ruby in the same situation.
Ruby also values honesty even to her own detriment, wanting to honestly do the work out YouTube challenge with Pieon, even though they could of just edited it. Compared to Ai, who felt that being a liar was intrinsic to being a good idol and felt unable to stop lying.
But if Ruby is a sweet, honest and straightforward person, how was she able to change so quickly into someone who was willing to manipulate those around her for the purpose of revenge? Is it a sudden character change or something that was building in her all along?
Even before she was Ruby, Sarina is shown to be a sweet and cheerful girl. I donât think this was completely an act, but she felt she had to hide her more âuglyâ emotions in order to keep her parents love and affection. Even to Gorro she never showed the extent of her hurt and anger about being abandoned by her parents. Crucially, she also lied to herself, unable to face reality that her parents didnât love her the way she wanted them to. She is unable to face this reality even as Ruby, until she canât deny it any longer.Â
Even though Ruby is âcute and honestâ the circumstances of her life necessitated her to lie about important parts of herself; She kept being reincarnated a secret from Ai and everyone around her. She even kept the details of her past life a secret from Aqua. When Ai was killed she had to keep it a secret from the world. This increased her reliance on lies, as in order to protect her own secret and Aiâs, she has to play a âroleâ and continue to pattern of cutting off unwanted parts of herself.Â
Although Ruby was able to overcome Aiâs death to an extent and is able to grieve in a more healthy way than Aqua, sheâs obviously still traumatised and harbours a lot of rage and hate for the perpetrator in her heart. Which she keeps mostly hidden.Â
Ruby has shown to cope well with Aiâs death, but the fact she is unable to speak to any of her friends about major traumas in her life (one mother abandoning her, another being murdered) probably limits her ability to come to terms with her feelings. The only person she can sort of speak to- Aqua- has his own stuff going on.Â
One of the first things Ruby says post time-skip is that she has two big secrets, showing that hiding things have remained central to her life. Whether she wants to or not.Â
Ruby remains cheerful and straightforward post time-skip, and I really donât think this is all an act. She builds genuine friendships with Mem and Kana, unlike Ai who struggled to make connections with her teammates. Ruby really enjoys being an idol. She wants to fulfil her own and her motherâs dream and be a pure-hearted idol.Â
And for a while things are fine.Â
Until theyâre not and Ruby realises that the person behind her motherâs death is still out there, and they killed the doctor who supported her more than anyone in her previous life.Â
It feels like a complete character change. But is it?. Ruby is someone who feels love very strongly, but she also feels hate too.
She begins to be motivated by hate instead of love. With the same single-mindedness she displayed aiming to be an idol, Ruby aims for revenge for both Ai and Gorro. Ruby has always felt incredibly strongly about those she loves; Ai goes without saying. For Gorro, Ruby wanted to become an idol partially to meet him again, even though that was completely improbable. She can be fanatical with things she loves. Â
So she is able to cross her own morals in order for revenge. Ichigo agrees to introduce Ruby to Aiâs old contacts if she becomes famous. So motivated by vengeance, Ruby manipulates those around her to become more famous. Sheâs surprisingly adept at it, because she was already used to having to hide things and put on an act to an extent. She isnât âmade of liesâ like Ai felt she was, but Ruby has always been cutting off the uglier and more complicated parts of herself in order to fit the role she wants to play.Â
Ruby becomes super popular. Her personality starts to shift but itâs she hasnât completely left behind her childish traits. Being a manipulator is another role for her, but there are hints she still isnât as calculating and serious as she maybe wants to be.
The pedestal Ruby put the idol world on starts to crack, and she starts to confront the ugly part of show biz beneath the glittering veneer. She realises that Ai probably had to lie too to be successful. She starts to realise the truth about things sheâs lied to herself about. Idols arenât always pure and perfect and the world they live in is brutal. Ai was the ideal to Ruby/Sarina, she always tried to emulate her. She wanted to be a pure and innocent idol like she thought Ai was, now she thinks she needs to be a liar like Ai.Â
The happy lies Ruby made into part of her identity start to crumble.
Then, Aqua tells the world Aiâs secret in order to save Kana. Ruby seeâs this as the ultimate betrayal. She thinks Ai is no longer first in Aquaâs heart and she feels totally alone in the world. Even though she has others around her, Aqua is the only one who can understand the reincarnation and Aiâs death.
All her core beliefs have been squashed; The Idol world is cold and brutal and lead to her motherâs death, Ai wasnât a perfect innocent idol and had to lie constantly, and now she thinks Aqua has stopped caring about Ai, and loses the bond with the only person who could really understand her. She also has to confront that as Sarina she wasnât loved by her mother.
At this point she begins questioning her own identity and falling apart. She no longer enjoys being an Idol but feels she have to get revenge. Ruby doesnât know who Ai is, so she doesnât know who she is herself. The entanglement with her own identity and Aiâs gets more confusing as sheâs playing her in a movie.
She canât be the perfect innocent idol- nobody can- but she doesnât enjoy being the liar and manipulator she feels she needs to be to avenge Ai and Gorro.
We see how fragile her sense of identity is; sheâs able to convince herself she became an idol to avenge Ai, forgetting that it was her dream across two life times.
Itâs only when Aqua reveals who he is and reminds Ruby of who she was prior to her path of vengeance that sheâs able to start rebuilding her identity. Finding out Aqua is Gorro helps tether her and bridge the gap between Sarina and Ruby.
Crucially, he reminds Ruby that she is not Ai. She doesnât have to be her, sheâs her own person and sheâs good enough a herself.
Ruby still has a lot of struggles to come in the movie arc, but hopefully sheâll continue down the path of becoming her own person; realising she canât be perfect and she will have dark feelings, but that doesnât mean her naturally cheerful upbeat personality is a lie either.Â
Is Ruby like Ai? I donât think so. But they both struggle with identity. Ai feels like sheâs never been able to form or connect with an identity, Ruby has had so many thrust on her (Sarina, Ruby, âAiâ) that itâs confusing to her.
Theyâre their own people with completely different backgrounds, personalities and quirks. But I do think Rubyâs emotional journey will leave her best placed to understand Ai; Ruby is starting to realise that Ai neither a perfect ideal idol, nor a mysterious master manipulator. Sheâs more than her idol persona. Ai is a complicated human with her own motivations, fears and issues just like everyone else.Â

Brother, I'm here.
-- Kurokawa Izana x little sister reader
đ€ â Tokyo Revengers
đ â spoilers from manga (around tenjiku arc), angst, mention of domestic abuse, mention of blood, mention of murder, mention of death
:a/n â I think I enjoy writing angst what do i do?? jk. hi, here's the third part. enjoy! (wc: 1.7k)
â PT. 1 / PT. 2/PT.3/PT.4/PT.5
Sano Manjiro stares at his hands. Droplets of blood and the feeling of them getting in his hands present. He felt responsible and god he did because how can he not know that he has another sibling?
Emmaâs sobs broke him out of his trance and it was only then that he noticed Draken. âIt..it was supposed to be me.â she cries out. âThat Kisaki was about to hit me but she protected me and- and-â
âEmma, stop.â Draken softly stops her, heart aching at how the teenager is blaming herself.
But Mikeyâs heart ached more when he realised that he almost had Emma dying on his back. Did that make him feel at least a bit of relief? No. Of course not. How could he when his another sibling is the one laying, holding onto dear life?
âI shouldâve movedâŠI was there and I shouldâve done something.â they heard Takemichi say but no one was blaming him. No one couldâve known what would happen at that moment except you who knew about your brotherâs sick plan.
Mikey stands up, determined. âEmma, Hina-chan, stay here.â he commands and looks at Draken and Takemichi.
âWeâre going. Iâll drag Izana here as if itâs the last thing keeping me alive.â
âWoah, how strong, Mikey! Youâre here even after Emmaâs death?â Izana asked with a wicked grin but Mikey could see it wavering. He could read those empty eyes; pleading and hope behind.
âWhat are you talking about, Izana? It was Y/N, our other sister who got hit.â he explains, frowning. âWhatâŠ?â he hears Kakucho ask, breathless.
âWhat are you talking about?â he asked once again, stepping forward. âKaku-chan, you know Y/N-san?â Takemichi asks, eyes widening. âOf course I know her! Sheâs Izanaâs sister! What do you mean she got hit?!â Kakuchoâs head whipped to where Kisaki was, blood boiling.
âSheâs no sister of mine. I donât know her.â It was the last thread that snapped loudly and hard as Kakucho stomped his way in front of his king. âSheâs your sister, Izana! Sheâs Kurokawa Y/N!â he shouts, praying to whatever deity out there for his message to come across the kingdom that Izana built around his heart.
âHow could you be so sure of that, huh? How could you be when you donât even know that Iâm blood related to no one at all?!â Mikeyâs and Kakuchoâs eyes widened. A simple huh coming out from their mouths.
Izana tells them how his mother told him that heâs just another son of her ex-husband with a Filipina and how heâs not Emmaâs blood-related stepbrother.
But Kakucho wasnât deterred, telling him that he should meet Y/N because sheâs his blood-related sister instead.
A gunshot echoes throughout the bay, silence following.
âYouâre so goddamn annoying!â they hear Kisaki say and for one moment, all Izana could think was Kakucho.Â
And that set of eyes that he saw earlier.
Regret bubbles in his whole body and it moved faster than his brain could comprehend as he saw Kisaki getting ready for another shot.
Three gunshots were heard this time and Izana waited for the inevitable pain to rain upon him but none came. He didnât fall nor did he feel a bullet making his body their own home. He looks up and sees Draken gripping Kisakiâs hand, gun pointed towards the sky.
Saved.
They were saved.
âLetâs go visit Y/N, Izana. AndâŠyouâre still our big brother.â Mikey says, bowing lightly.
And for the second time that day, the king falls from his throne and onto his knees. But this time, it came with emotions dripping from his lilac eyes.
The Yokohama conflict ended with one loss- Kisaki Tetta who was run over by a truck.
The beeping sound of the heart monitor was deafening.Â
He did this to his sister, didnât he? How sick and vile of him. Even though it was Emma who was supposed to get hit and die, he knows that everything was fucked up.
Kakucho had filled him with the information he got from you. He got informed that you knew he existed years ago and worked hard to earn money just so you could come to Japan and look for him. How you kept hoping to see him in every street you walked through.
How youâre looking for your big brother.
He was getting impatient. He wants you to wake up and look at that set of eyes similar to his. He was getting impatient but a voice stopped him.
Will she even accept you after what you did? After you turn your back on her?
His breath hitches and his hand longs to grip yours gently. Praying that the apologies lingering on the tip of his tongue will make their way through the tip of his fingers instead and flow into yours, interrupting you in your slumber.
He was getting impatient and he wants you to open your eyes because he wants to see them again. Because he knows thereâs a possibility of you not waking up and how he wonât be able to stare back at another set of lilac eyes.
He stares at your limp hand and stops breathing altogether when they twitch. His gaze slowly racked over your form, settling on your face as he waited with bated breath for you to wake up.
But you didnât and Izana visibly deflates, sighing before standing up to leave.
He doesnât deserve you. Youâre clearly a white paint in his black canvas and he doesnât want your light fading.
So he does what he thinks is for the best.
Leaving you once more.
Your life wasnât as eventful as the others. You have no experience of proper support- financially, emotionally, and physically.
Your stepmother was abusive; always taking her frustrations out on you that you got used to it. Your father doesnât even spare you a glance while youâre getting beaten up. It was a common occurrence that it got you questioning if itâs normal in a household. (Itâs not, you found out later.) Your stepmother did her best to make you think otherwise, after all.
Always saying that itâs for your own good and that she loves you thatâs why sheâs doing it. You were just a naive little girl new to the world you were brought in and believed in.
Not until you found out that everything in your household is fucked up. Your stepmother and father are fucked up in the head and are irresponsible shits that liked to neglect you. However, thereâs a part of you that thanked your father for giving you an older brother even though it took him years to remember and finally tell you one day so casually.
With that knowledge, you found your purpose again.Â
Older brother.
A kuya.
Oh how you always wanted an older sibling to take care of you. To baby you and to shower you with affection. You worked again and again despite the pity looks you got for working at such a young age. Were you ten? Thirteen? Fifteen? Youâre not even sure anymore.
All you could think about was escaping your shitty household and meeting your Kuya.
Thatâs all you ever wanted and yet, nothing was ever free to you in this godforsaken world, no? Everything and everyone around you just looks at your expectations, takes them and throws them to the ground and stomps on it for an extra measure.
Maybe it was the price for being greedy for a family. The price for being selfish, not considering how your Kuya is living and proceeding to look for him and bother him with your presence, full of scars and bruises painted by a family.
You were longing and now youâre paying the price in the form of your pounding head and blurry vision.
Your eyes wander around the vicinity youâre in. Youâre in a hospital, you figured. Right, you were hit with a bat in the head. Your Kuya Mikey brought you here, hand tugging yours away from deathâs own ones.
You see Emma beside you, holding your hand as she sleeps. You notice her puffy eyes and apologise to her in your mind for giving her a scare. On the sofa a few feet away was a pink-haired girl, dozing off in Takemichiâs shoulder whoâs also sleeping. You look to your right and see Mikey and another guy, almost bald, looking out the window.
Theyâre awake. You should call for them, right?
âKuya.â you softly called out, Mikey immediately turning to you, eyes wide and full of relief. âHey, Y/N. How are you feeling?â you smile and do your best to nod a little. âFeeling fine.â how idiotic of you to think that Mikey will believe that.
He may have just met you days ago but heâs no fool when it comes to his siblings.Â
âIzana is just taking a breather outside.â he says instead of further asking you to tell him the truth. Outside where heâs currently being looked for because he decided to be an asshole once again and disappeared on you.
And yet, somehow, you knew.Â
You knew that Izana turned his back on you again but you canât bring yourself to be mad. No, you are blaming yourself for his actions. You are worried because itâs currently dark outside and the possibility of him getting in danger was making your eyes tear.
âIâm sorryâŠâ you sobbed out quietly but it jolted Emma awake, making Mikey grab your hand, asking you what for while simultaneously telling you that it's not your fault and it's okay.
It's overwhelming. You want to hide, you want to run away. Is family supposed to be this reassuring? Are they supposed to be this gentle and soft? Are they supposed to wipe your tears away as they tell you over and over again that everything will be okay?
Are you supposed to feel this safe around a family?
You're too unfamiliar with theseâŠthings.
In a way, instead of being the white paint, you're the black canvas and your Kuya Mikey and Emma are the white dots, slowly spreading out with their gentleness.
Draken, Takemichi, and the pink-haired girl stood quietly, watching the Sanos reassuring you, heart aching.
Because you had to know.
You had to know that theyâre not your family by blood.
And their heart aches because theyâre about to rip away a family, a loving one, from you even though it still hasnât reached your two delicate hands.
Kakucho stands outside the room with his bandaged body, tears gathering in his eyes as he vows to find Izana for you.
For the now two Kurokawa royalty in his life.
A/N: I'm currently enjoying writing this hahaha I hope you're enjoying the mini series, too, love <3

Self-Aware BSD. World Building. Getting into their world. Part I
Was thinking about writing this installment ever since I published this post.
Important part of my AU - (most of the) characters don't like Reader at first. Some of them hate Reader, some of them were scared of them, some of the characters doesn't care about Reader etc.
So, what would happen, if Guiding Light got into BSD world before characters start liking them?
Part I
When Reader were transported:
Before Characters gain self-awareness
After characters gain self-awareness but before they start feeling their gaze
After characters start feeling their gaze but before time reset
Warning: OOC. Slight spoilers for LN, Anime and Manga, some characters are dangerous to Reader. English is my second language
____________
If Reader got into BSD World before Characters gain self-awareness
____________
đŸ Terrible moment to be transported. World, full of faceless figures. World, where characters resemble a moving 3D models, that won't react to you, no matter, what you do. If you are strong enough, you will hold yourself together, until Atsushi gains his self-awareness.
Level of danger: 1/10. Hard for mental health, but no one will attack you.
What's good in your situation:
You have a chance to explore Yokohama.
No problems with supplies.
Characters, when they gain self-awareness, will be friendlier to you. They won't associate you with heavy gaze in the sky.
What's bad in your situation:
You might wait for a long time, before characters gain self-awarenes. Depends, on how close to Cannibalism arc you were isekaied.
____________
If Reader got into BSD World after characters gain self-awareness but before they start feeling their gaze
____________
đŸ Tricky one. You can pretend to be a Character, who got self-awareness, but, the chances, that characters will believe you for long are slim. No one saw you before, so, what kind of characters are you, if you have no interaction with any of them? Better tell them the truth about been from the real world.
đŸ Characters are on their guard around you. They aren't sure, if they can trust you.
đŸ While you aren't a Gaze from the sky (for now), you still a person, who knew their secrets.
Tips for interaction:
1. Don't treat them like characters. Don't joke about Chuuya's height, Dazai's suicidal tendencies, Jounou's eyes etc.
2. Never mentioned their likes, dislikes or past. They won't like to be reminded about the fact, that thousands of strangers knew their secrets.
____________
Level of dangers: Depends on Organization you try to stay with.
___________
Armed Detective Agency: 1/10
Ranpo immediately prove your 'innocence'. Yes, you didn't have any idea that they are self-aware. Yes, you didn't know, how did you get there.
Still, ADA will keep an eye on you. Still, will let you go for walks (with at least one of them accompanying you).
____________
Atsushi Nakajima - On his guard, but won't be too unfriendly. Will hurt you only if you attack someone.
Doppo Kunikida - Man is broken by the fact he is not real. You might try to talk to him, he won't be rude to you, but Katai, Yosano, Fukuzawa and Dazai won't let you got too close to him.
Akiko Yosano - Furious about the fact, that she.is a fictional character. Will look after everything you do. It will take her a long time to open up to you. Won't put you in any kind of danger, tho, and, if you got injured, will treat your wounds.
Junchirou Tanizaki - More concerned about his sister. Neutral towards you at that point. Will destroy you, if you make Naomi cry.
Naomi Tanizaki - Neutral and friendly at the same time. Can feel, that you aren't bad person. Don't be rude to Junchirou.
Kirako Haruno - Don't have any bad feelings towards you. Knew, that you are a simple person, who won't hurt anyone.
Katai Tayama - Buried in work. Protective over Kunikida, don't want you near him.
Kenji Miyazawa - sunshine boy. Will be very friendly and polite. Of course, if you didn't do anything bad to his friends.
Kyouka Izumi - Don't trust you. Ready to strike you, if you give her a reason.
Ranpo Edogawa - pretty chill about you. Knew, that you are a simple person and have no chance against them.
Yukichi Fukuzawa - Insist on you to be near him, so he can stop you, if you became a threat. Still, very respectful towards you.
Dazai Osamu - Hard to read. Will always observe you. Don't give him any reason to suspect you.
In conclusion: Not bad to stay with them. They might not trust you fully, but they won't mistreat you or hurt you.
____________
Port Mafia: 5/10
You will be a semi-prisoner for them. Won't keep you in cell, but you can't leave HQ.
Will question you about your world, how you get in their world, etc.
Not very friendly towards you. Treat you with cold, distant respect.
____________
Ougai Mori - Respectful towards you. Won't let any sort of disrespect from you. You can ask him if you need anything, he will make sure, that you aren't harmed.
Elise - Neutral and friendly towards you. Can ask you to play with her. Tried to ask you to prank Mori with her. Don't do it, Mori won't be that forgiving.
Chuuya Nakahara - Neutral and unfriendly towards you. Due to his past, don't like people who try to use him. For him, been a fictional character mean that you might see him as a source of entertainment. Still, won't be that hard on you. Just try not to bother him without reason.
Kouyou Ozaki - Doesn't care about you. She is more concerned about Kyouka. Don't badmouth Kyouka in her presence.
Paul Verlaine - Danger! Paul Verlaine is very angry about the fact that he is a fictional character, on top of been an artificial human. Try not to tun into him. While he won't disobey Mori's orders, it doesn't mean he won't create an incident that will leave you injured.
Ryunosuke Akutagawa - Don't care about you. Don't bother him, if you don't want to be hurt.
Ichiyou Higuichi - Respectful towards you, but won't try to make a small talk with you. Don't want to speak to you.
Ryuurou Hirotsu - Neutral towards you. Will keep you company over a cup of tea, if the chance arises.
Gin Akutagawa - Little bit friendlier, than her brother. Won't lay a finger on you. Not against bringing you something nice.
Michizou Tachihara - Try to interrogate you. There is a chance, that he would try to transfer you to the Hunting Dogs base.
Kyuusaku Yumeno - Love and hate you at the same time. You are the embodiment of chaos for them.
Motojirou Kajii - Neutral, but want to know more about your world. Semi-friendly.
In conclusion: The main danger for you is Verlaine. If you keep your distance from him, everything will be fine.
____________
The Guild: 3/10
Poe was the one, who proved that you aren't dangerous. Guild, as ADA will keep an eye on you. Will let you go for walks.
____________
Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald - interested in your world. Want to know, if you knew, where The Book is. Won't be angry, that you don't know about it. Keep his distance, but makes sure, that you are comfortable.
Edgar Allan Poe - anxious around you, but, it's because of his personality, not because of you been from real world. Will slowly became friendly towards you.
Herman Melville - very respectful towards you. Doesn't feel any negative emotions towards you.
Howard Phillips Lovecraft - curious about you. Still, won't try too much to strike a conversation with you. Don't bother him when he sleeps.
John Steinbeck - Openly rude towards you. He is missing his family, and think, that you are the reason they disappear. Keep your distance.
Lucy Maud Montgomery - while she doesn't like the fact, that, her past was written as tragic, probably for someone else entertainment, she is friendly towards you. Like to chat with you.
Louisa May Alcott - another one who is shy near you. With time, will open up to you.
Margaret Mitchell - Very cold towards you. Miss her family. Keep your distance.
Mark Twain - friendly one. Doesn't treat you seriously. Doesn't treat anything seriously.
Nathaniel Hawthorne - very dangerous, doesn't matter, if he is under Fyodor's influence or not. See you as a threat to Mitchell.
In conclusion: Come to them only if they are your only option. You have three people who are openly hostile towards you. It's unlikely, that they will hurt you, but, staying with three rude people can take a toil at your mood.
____________
Rats in the House of the Dead: 0/10 or 8/10
The only way for you to stay with them - to make Fyodor interested in you. Otherwise, they won't be bothered in letting you stay.
____________
Alexander Pushkin - Doesn't care about you. Too selfish to treat you with respect.
Ivan Goncharov - His feelings towards you depends on Fyodor's feelings. If Fyodor doesn't like you, he will be very aggressive towards you. If Fyodor is neutral towards you, he won't pay attention towards you and won't care about you. If Fyodor sees you as valuable, he will do anything to serve you.
In conclusion: Don't bother to stay with them. But, they are a good way to find Fyodor.
____________
Decay of the Angel: 5/10, 8/10 or 10/10
If you somehow ran into them, you can exchange some information about your world and about BSD plot for staying with them.
Think twice, about staying with them.
____________
Fukuchi Ouchi - Think that you are the reason that his plans were destroyed. May seriously hurt you, if he realises, that you are the Reader.
Bram Stoker - Doesn't care about you. You may talk with him about your world, but be careful. Fukuchi won't like it, if he finds out that you are talking with Bram.
Fyodor Dostoevsky - try to make him see you as a valuable source of information. Don't try to give him garbage information. As long as you are valuable, Fyodor will protect you from Fukuchi and Gogol.
Nikolai Gogol - unpredictable. One moment he is trying to be as close to you as he can, next moment planing your murder. Be respectful, don't try to disagree with his opinion. Try to run into his as rare as you can.
Sigma - neutral and worried about you. Won't be rude, but it will take time to convince him that you don't want to use him.
In conclusion: Sigma and Fyodor are the safest option among DOA. Still, DOA is the most dangerous organization to stay with. If you really have to stay with DOA, better search for Fyodor through Rats.
____________
Hunting Dogs: 2/10
Probably, Tachihara transfer you to Hunting Dogs from Port Mafia.
Hunting Dogs are respectful towards you. Good protectors from Fukuchi.
Fukuchi Ouchi - won't do anything with you. Still, don't like you.
Teruko Okura - was sad, that you were interrogated by Jounou. Nevertheless, don't try to hurt you. Friendly towards you.
Saigaku Jouno - knew, that you have no idea, what happened with them or why are you here. He keeps his distance, can be a little bit sadistic with his words, but not pose any threat towards you.
Tetchou Suehiro - neutral towards you. Treat you as a normal civilian.
In conclusion: Good choice. As long as you don't spill the beans about Fukuchi.
____________
Government and Others: 0/10
You will be supervised. Still, the worst you will get - house arrest.
____________
Santouka Taneda - respectful towards you. Makes sure, that you aren't mistreated.
Ango Sakaguchi - very overworked right now. Simply has no power to care about you.
Mizuki Tsujimura - look after you. Very friendly towards you, try to make sure that you are comfortable.
Yukito Ayatsuji - slightly curious about you. See, that you are a normal person. Treat like a normal person.
Mushitarou Oguri - try to keep his distance. Still can't accept the fact he is a fictional character.
Natsume Soseki - won't try to show himself to you. Observing.
In conclusion: Good choice. They aren't dangerous to you. As long as you don't do anything dangerous.
____________
If Reader got into BSD World after characters start feeling their gaze but before time reset
____________
đŸ Actually, not that different from previous interactions.
đŸ When you hot into their world, they stop feeling Entity's gaze.
đŸ But they found you instead.
đŸ Despite the fact, that characters would add '2' and '2' and understand, that you are The Entity that was looking at them, they won't be really agressive towards you.
đŸ Will they be more cautious? Yes
đŸ Will they treat you colder? Yes
đŸ Will they kill you on the spot? No
đŸ Will they torture you? No
đŸ Will they embarrass you? Humiliate you? No.
____________
Level of Danger:
Armed Detective Agency: 3/10. More cautious. More cold. Yosano and Dazai are ruder. Still, you aren't in danger.
Port Mafia: 6/10. Again, characters are less friendly, but not to the point of harming you.
The Guild: 5/10. Steinbeck, Mitchell and Hawthorne are more hostile, but won't try to do anything drastic.
Rats in the House of the Dead: 0/10 or 8/10. As I mentioned, Fyodor Dostoevsky is the one who plays the music during this party. No difference.
Decay of the Angel: 8/10 or 10/10. Fyodor will be the only one who is willing to interact with you. Sigma is afraid of you, Gogol's feelings are complicated, Fukuchi hates you. Will try to imprison you. Still, won't try to search for you. Just stay away.
Hunting Dogs: 3/10. Fukuchi will try to convince others that you aren't human. He won't sucseed, but Hunting Dogs will more careful.
Government and Others: 2/10. Another group, who will be cautious because of possibility of you not been a human. Still, nothing dangerous to your health.
In conclusion: Hard time to be transported into BSD World. Still, not to the point of been terrified.

Nico Robin & The Light of Revolution
Warning: Spoilers for the Egghead Arc + Manga
One thing that has always interested me since watching One Piece for the first time is the epithet that the Revolutionary Army has given Robinâ âThe Light of Revolutionâ/âThe Light of The Revolutionâ.
Obviously, the epithet makes sense for Robin. Sheâs been on the run from the World Government for over twenty-two years, for the crime of existing while being able to read the Poneglyphs. She is, in a sense, a symbol of what is wrong with the way the world currently works in One Piece. When people can be labeled as a criminal for no other reason than being able to read a specific language, something is broken and wrong.
And when we got to Egghead, we learned that not only did Dragon know Professor Clover, but he also visited Ohara to pay his respects, and Ohara was the triggering point for him in forming the Revolutionary Army. This knowledge answered some questions about the Revolutionary Army and their connection to Robin, but to me it also posed a question that is currently unanswered:
If Ohara was the triggering point for Dragon, then why does Bunny Joe say that theyâve only been looking for Robin for âoverâ ten years, and not twenty?
So far we havenât seen anything to hint that theyâve been looking for Robin for longer, so why did it take Dragon so long to have the Army search for her?
This question has been bubbling around in my brain for a while, but a few weeks ago I was going through the Library of Oharaâs timeline in order to put together a more focused timeline for the Revolutionary Army to use as a reference for myself when writing. And while going through, I noticed something interesting that might actually explain why Robin was called the Light of Revolution when she did.
You see, the Rev Army only started calling Robin the Light of Revolution around roughly 12 years ago (Or more, but I think 12-14 years ago is the most likely range), and that was around two years after Ginny was kidnapped and enslaved by the Celestial Dragons.
I donât think itâs an overstatement to say that Ginny was a very popular and important member of the Revolutionary Army. She joined at the same time as Kuma, one of the known founding members, and was very close to him. She was the Captain of their Eastern Forces. She was also very popular among the members of the Rev Army, with members even openly lamenting her affection towards Kuma and not them,
Her capture was probably both a pivotal moment for the Rev Army, and also a gut punch in terms of morale. It was known that Ginny had caught the eye of a Celestial Dragon, and it was (probably) one of the first times that one of their (the Rev Army) high ranking officers was captured. If someone so high up can get captured and enslaved, what about the rest of the army? And what does that line of thinking do to an army made up of former slaves and victims of the worldâs nobles?
And most importantly, when such a thing happens, how do you inspire your army once more? What can you give them to distract them from those harsh realities and keep them focused on their goal?
Itâs simple: You give them hope. You give them something to fight for.
I think that it was after Ginnyâs capture that Dragon told the Revolutionary Army about Robin, and Ohara, and asked them to look for her. And I think she was given that epithetâThe Light of Revolutionâ to give the army something to fight for. Something tangible that they can hold onto, and a goal that they can accomplish. âWe might not have been able to save Ginny, but maybe we can save this girlâ line of thinking.
As for why Dragon didnât come right out and have that be a goal for the Rev Army from day one, well⊠Iâll admit Iâm still mulling about trying to think of the answer to that. Although weâve learned so much about Dragon in the Egghead arc, he still feels like an enigma to me. Could it have been out of respect for Ohara? Did he want to wait for the right time? Iâm not entirely sureâ but I welcome other peopleâs theories!

ALIEN SKINCARE. v! blue lock/male! reader. originally posted on quotev. masterlist.
CHAPTER II. WHEN THE LOCK IS BLUE AND THE WORLD IS ENDING.
SPOILER WARNING for various characters not yet properly introduced in the anime (all of them appeared in the vs.U-20 arc), for the Hiori light novel (very vague spoilers, you'll probably only notice them if you've read the novel), and for Episode Nagi manga (extremely vague, probably won't notice them even if you've read the source material).
Since that match, you havenât felt the âsparkâ again.Â
And yet, you had decided to apologize to your team, making sure that they knew that your sacrilegious crime against the spirit of football and teamplay was just an one-off thing and that you werenât going to go around stomping on your teammates again. No matter that it was you that made the loss seem not as pathetic as it would have been if you hadnât scored at all. But in the end, the only important thing is that you could keep playing.Â
In truth, youâve never been certain in love, yet you knew that you loved football.Â
You also knew that it would be for the best if you completely let go of any hopes that playing football will take you anywhere. No matter how proud the general public was of the team representing their nation, they were ⊠rather unimpressive against other teams on the global level.Â
Unlucky you, to be born here.Â
The chances of making it big (by your definition) were near zero. You should make peace with that fact.
So why did a simple letter leave you in such a perturbed state?
Never mind you first thought of -who even sends letters anymore?- the crest of the JFU causes a period of wide-eyed gaping. Sayaka, who had informed you of the envelope arriving earlier, looks over your shoulder curiously, as she searches for the name of the sender. âJapan Football Union? How exciting! Come on, open it!âÂ
You pause. Which is incredibly dramatic, even by your standards. Itâs not like whatever is in there is going to bite your fingers clean off or something. You internally roll your eyes at your own behavior, as you rip the paper.
Right when youâre done reading the contents, a cheery jingle coming from your phone interrupts you. You already know who it is -you did change the notification sound for him specifically, just so you could immediately differentiate it from messages sent by your bothersome classmates, since you usually tend to ignore those for hours before you actually reply to them. None of them care most of the time, so no big deal.Â

look at what i got đ¶
Sent 1 attachment.
You look at the picture, and lo and behold, itâs the exact same envelope as the one that was addressed to you. What strikes you as more important at the moment is the fact that Bachira seemed to be back to his usual mood, which is nice, since he was rather dispirited earlier today. This tended to happen semi-regularly after matches or practice with his team, so you were left to wonder if those people were sickos or something of similar nature, for making Bachira of all people upset. The fiasco at his recent game was obviously the current cause, though you couldnât get what the big deal was. They did lose, sure, supposedly due to Bachiraâs blunder, but who cares? He was the only person worth anything on that team. If the outcome is that important to them, they should get good. Bunch of slugs, you swear.
Ah, youâre keeping Bachira waiting.
You
I got it too
Itâs for some âPlayer improvement projectâ
Sent 1 attachment.
đđđđđÂ
way to ruin the surprise Ăș_Ăč
You
Lol
đđđđđ
so we are going x33
  You
I guess
Iâll think about it
This whole thing seemed very sketchy. The notice didnât seem to be forged or anything of the sort, but the lack of proper details about what exactly this whole project was about (or just about anything, really, since whoever sent these was very stingy with information) made you doubt the legitimacy of this entire scheme.
Maybe it was some sort of a coordinated kidnapping plan? That would be funny. Though you fail to see what exactly theyâd gain from doing that to a bunch of football playing teens, assuming that was their target audience. Force you to kick the ball until you die? Do human experimentation? Lock you somewhere where not even the sun would find you? Would they demand a ransom? Sayaka didnât have that type of money. But thinking logically, if this invitation was the best the organizers could come up with, maybe itâd be possible to outwit them? Much to think about.
You should consider this carefully.
You considered it carefully. And such careful consideration led you to taking a train from Chiba to Tokyo with Bachira on the date stated in the letter. While Bachira seemed pretty excited (as is the norm for him), you kept all of your feelings internalized.Â
After wasting time (Bachira wanted to look around) and following the map given to you, you finally made it to the supposed location of the project. The JFA building stood proud in front of you two, so you decided to believe that you most likely wonât die or be seriously harmed today. That would cause a real big scandal, for sure.
âThis seems to be the place.â you hum as you glance at the paper once more, slightly frowning at the lack of one crucial detail. âBut it doesnât say where exactly weâre supposed to meet.âÂ
âThat means we should go in, right?â Bachira retorts, making it seem rather easy. It seemed like you were the only one overthinking everything. How you envied him, sometimes. Going through life with the carelessness of an amoeba seemed a lot less difficult than whatever was going on with you. Then again, minimizing your existence to the simplest cluster of cells doesnât even seem that appealing when you think about it twice. You just can never win.
âItâs not like we can go back, now that we wasted money to get here.â
Your companion grins and slaps your back not at all lightly. âItâs always about money with you! Let'so go, let's go!â
You decide to stop the objection before you could vocalize it. Nowâs not the time for bickering, even if itâs definitely not âalways about moneyâ with you, but whatever.Â
When you finally open the door, a considerable number of people turn to face you, which makes you (secretly) bristle in discomfort. Sure, you were an expert at playing a social butterfly, or at least a regular friendly peer, but rooms filled with a crowd of mostly unfamiliar faces wasnât your ideal setting. You make a quick move forward, making them lose interest and turn to look back ahead.Â
As minutes rolled along, it seemed that nothing was happening other than more people coming in. In order to pass the time, you chatter with Bachira, completely discreetly (only on your part) commenting on the boys around you. Some of them looked ⊠rather interesting , so you had to wonder how they leave the house everyday while looking like losers of the genetic lottery. Hell, some of them werenât even ugly, yet they chose to present themselves in a way that made you wonder if they had a hole in their heads, or at least blindness in one or both eyes. You spot a guy with so much hair gel that the mere fact that he still has any hair is a miracle of global proportions (âBwahahaha! That guy looks like a turnip!â Bachira observes, to which you laugh very unnoticeably).Â
You wish it was enough to distract you from the one thing that you had expected, yet feared, once you realized the group consisted of all teenage boys -the stench.Â
You donât even want to imagine how bad itâd be once you started actually playing instead of standing around. You werenât even that demanding; itâs not like you were asking them to bathe in holy water every three hours, but some soap would be nice?!
Unexpectedly, someone turns towards you. Before you is a bespectacled guy, with a rather handsome face and a fitting smile to boot. You guessed that there was something beneath that visage. Like an insecurity or an ugly personality facet that deserved to be wrapped in a pretty packaging, tucked away from the public eye. But you were just brainstorming. This guy could be going through the torments of a lifetime and it wouldn't be in your realm of caring. Then, he starts talking to you.
âSorry to bother you, but do you two happen to be forwards?â
Huh. Thatâs one way to start a conversation. At least it gave you a small hint on whatever was going on here.
âYeah!â Bachira replies before you can. âYouâre one too?â You add.
He smiles and nods, very pretty and proper. âThatâs right. My name is Yukimiya Kenyu, by the way. Itâs nice to meet you.â
You easily slip into the familiar role as you smile back at him, radiating as much of your inner grace as you could while introducing yourself. âIt's very nice to meet you too, Yukimiya-kun.â
The door opens once again and everyone predictably turns to look at the newcomers. You hear many whispers about the âCrown jewel of Japanâ, but you have no idea who that is so you donât even bother. You know Bachira doesnât know either, and you donât care enough to ask Yukimiya about it. Thereâs two guys at the entrance, so itâs a 50/50 chance that oneâs the jewel and the other is the pebble. Whatever the truth is, youâll find out if it ever becomes relevant to you. Which is not now.
Right then, your eyes get abruptly violated by the man that takes the centre of the podium. Not only does he wear the look of a freakish horror caricature like itâs second skin, his strange choice of a hairstyle makes him seem like a scorched thumb more than anything. You give him a point for effort, though, since his dead fish eyes and lanky limbs only add to the aesthetic. He oppens his mouth and talks, unfortunately.
Now, hereâs the thing -you would have liked it if you were able to readily disagree with whatever bullshit this guyâs saying. But itâs understandable bullshit, which is a whole nother thing, so you settle on wearing a pensive and slightly concerned expression, just so you donât seem out of place. Unlike most of those present, leaving your team behind for this delusional charade ⊠doesnât seem too bad to you. Perhaps itâs the ultimate hating mindset rearing its head once it senses an opportunity to muddle your thoughts. The whole plan of making the worldâs best striker sounded very nice, but you werenât fully convinced either. Not to be judgmental and superficial (you are) but looking like that and declaring such ideas didnât leave much space for trust. You share a sideways glance with Bachira.
Then, for some reason, Possible Jewel suspect number One starts talking too. Arguing, mostly. You think itâs a silly hill to die on, but itâs not like you can blame him for thinking the way he does. People treasure their bonds and stuff like that, or so youâve heard. Unsurprisingly, more complaints pipe up. Most are nonsensical to you, but you do agree with whoever asked why all of you had to live together. Looking at all of them ⊠sharing a living space seems like an idea cooked up by a sadist of the highest calibre.Â
Yeah, you ⊠donât want that. Who knows where all these people have been.Â
âEgoâsâ response to this is to start this strange contortion performance? Then he talks about the Japanese team and how theyâre basically shit-out-of-the-ass bad (which isnât untrue, but he didnât have to say it like that), and continues on to quote many world class players, finishing with the principle of âegoismâ.Â
This âegoismâ is heretical against the primary principles of football, ingrained within every regular player who has ever had to share the field with a team.
You, an alien attempting to imitate regularity on a daily basis, find yourself at a loss of words. Transfixed, almost, enchanted even, by this manâs otherworldly philosophy. It feels like home, you realize, cold and empty, but still a memory of the years during which you had felt alive, like an actual being, like someone fitting into the mechanisms of existence. No -you want to bend these mechanisms to your liking. Someone like you is deserving of that.
What a tantalizing offer. You want to reach out and devour every fruit.
Thereâs a certain swirling darkness within Bachiraâs eyes as he gazes at you. You donât pay attention to it. In the end, youâre the only one that should matter. The center of all, itâs you-the lowest of all scum.Â
The gate opens, and the answer is clear.Â
After signing the letter of consent, for better or for worse, you find yourself amongst all 300 selected players as youâre led into different vehicles like a flock of sheep. During that time, you were forced to say goodbye to Bachira, since you were assigned different buses, but you assumed it wouldnât be long until you saw him again. At least the seats are nice, you think as you make yourself comfortable against the window. And it has air conditioning too. Well, it seems like Ego and co. were actually serious about this, since they sunk so much money into it.Â
Just as youâre about to force yourself to doze off for the sake of making the trip easier, someone interrupts you. Oh, the joy. You felt like you had enough people time today, but it seems like you were wrong in your belief.
âExcuse me, do ya mind if I sit here? Everywhere else is taken, so âŠâ
Is that a Kansai accent?
The newcomer has a ridiculously cutesy face, complete with the bug eyes of a bizarre size, but the image of daintiness is harshly offset by the boyâs height. Not thinking much of it, you give him a close-eyed smile and a nod as you move your things to give him space to sit.Â
âI donât mind at all! Make yourself comfortable.â
The boy thanks you as he sits down. By the time heâs content with his position, the bus starts moving. For the sake of politeness, you introduce yourself to him, and he returns the gesture, letting you know that his name is Hiori Yo.
âHiori-kun,â you say like a true conversationalist, âAre you from Kansai, by any chance?â
Hiori nods. âYeah, Iâm from Kyoto. What about you?âÂ
Feeling glad that you werenât stuck with someone who made conversations awkward for you, you continue without a hitch. âIâm from Chiba, but I used to live in Kyoto for a bit before going back.â
His eyes widen a bit. âReally? What made you move back?â
âFamily matters, nothing much.â As you feel the conversation derailing, you smoothly reel it back. âSay, what do you think about this whole âBlue Lockâ thing? Itâs all pretty weird, isnât it?â
âHonestly ⊠when I got the letter, I thought it was some sorta scam.â Hiori admits, smiling when you start laughing. âI dunno, it just seemed suspicious.â
âRight? My friend didnât think twice about it, but it seemed shady to me. It doesnât help that the guy whoâs supposed to train us looks like that.â You make a few vague hand gestures, hoping to demonstrate your point better.
âLike Slender Man?â Hiori supplies rather unhelpfully, actually. Your English is good enough to understand the literal meaning of what he says, but you have a feeling that heâs referencing something, yet you had no idea what. Unfortunately, your free time was usually spent training, so your knowledge of what was outside of your general sphere of interests was ⊠lackluster. But if you were good at one thing (other than kicking a ball), itâs faking it until you make it. Ego is definitely slender, and a man, so thatâs a start.
âYeah!â You snap your fingers with a practiced amount of enthusiasm. Before your talk could get to the point where your ignorance about this so called âSlender Manâ put you in a bad spot, you hum and turn to look out of the window. âI wonder when weâre going to get there.âÂ
Hiori leans in to look to look outside as well. The next few minutes are spent in comfortable silence, much to the delight of you. You like people who knew how to shut up.
Eventually, silence bores you, as well.Â
âWhy did you decide to come to Blue Lock?â
Hiori blinks owlishly at your sudden question. âI ⊠wanted a change of pace, I guess.âÂ
Hm. There was obviously something else hiding in there. Well, luckily for the guy, you werenât interested in prodding at secrets when they held no importance to you. Whatever issues he had, he could deal with them on his own.
The look heâs giving you implies that he wants you to answer your own inquiry as well.Â
âThatâs nice. I just like to play football.âÂ
And thatâs that.Â
As it turns out, the Blue Lock building is in the middle of nowhere. Totally not skeevy.Â
Next, youâre supposed to wait until your name is called. Luck seems to be on your side today, since your name is the first one on the list. You wave at Hiori as you move forward, deciding that heâs good company, with his overall calm demeanor and good sense of conversation-silence balance. Talking to him again wouldnât be the worst thing.
You find out that youâre supposed to give your wallet and phone to the woman waiting in front of the door, which is ⊠weird, but yeah, sure, might as well. Itâs not even a kidnapping at this point, since you consented to being here. You just wish you knew youâd be staying somewhere else beforehand, so you could have packed more of your skincare products, and then thoroughly mentally prepared for rooming with a bunch of possible creeps amd weirdos, which would obviously turn your long established and extremely well-planned routine onto its head.
Youâll have to manage.Â
Youâre definitely not gritting your teeth at the thought.
Just as she hands you your uniform, you remember. âExcuse me?â
âYes?â
âWill you inform our guardians of this? Or should we do it ourselves?â
âWe will notify your parents and guardians, donât worry.â Anri replies, and proceeds to explain that you should look for the room marked with the letter present on the fabric.
With a quick âthank youâ and a smile, you move on, looking down at your assigned uniform.
241
V
Your eyebrows furrow.
When you move onward, Hiori watches you leave.Â
As he waits his turn, he canât help but think about how unusual you are. Not in the way you present yourself, no. The âperfect studentâ trope, heâs seen it a lot. People who are nice, outgoing, helpful, and so on; thereâs a plethora of those. Itâs about the intensity with which you fall into the archetype. The wording of every sentence you say, every move you make, the intonation of your voice -it all seems carefully planned out, programmed and running with no bugs or other disturbances.Â
So much that itâs unsettling.
In a way, you remind him of Karasu. Youâre both rather guarded, he thinks. But the difference is there; you didnât seem to be trying to analyze him. Sure, you asked him questions, and he answered, but you had never shown interest in digging in further. Maybe you were just being considerate? It could be. The two of you just met a few hours ago, after all, so you minding your business didnât seem all that unreasonable.
You said you liked to play football. Thatâs why you came to Blue Lock. That was an unoriginal, even a little airheaded answer, considering the specific situation you all were in. Even so, Hiori has to wonder âŠ
Ah, his name is being called.
Karasu Tabito has always known that he was a rather ordinary person, but the ranking of 252 does sting a little.Â
Thatâs probably why heâs surprised to see that you, out of all people, are carrying the highest number out of everyone in the room.Â
Donât get him wrong, you had this specific, yet common, kind of charm that probably had all the girls swooning. From the way you walked, you looked, you smiled -yep, you fill all the âpretty boyâ boxes.
And yet, you donât carry yourself like someone whoâs supposedly on the top of the foodchain of this small group. Most guys like you had this strong air of confidence, regardless of their disposition, yet you lacked that entirely. Not that you were cowardly either. You just struck this peculiar kind of balance that seemed in no way natural.
And such artificalness only hid weakness.
Well, finding your weak spot is just another job for the analyst.
And he is given his first clue when a blonde guy walks up to you with stars in his eyes and asks if you were the âSlumbering Angel of Chibaâ.
Karasu almost laughs. What kind of cringy title was that?
You seemed to share some of his sentiment, because you look at the other like he had grown another head or said the stupidest shit possible to your face with no remorse (which he possibly did?).
Interestingly enough, you force your expression into something softer, which makes your confusion all the more clear. âIâm not sure I follow âŠ?â
The boy then goes on to retell the story of you scoring some crazy goal against some crazy strong school, and how you stopped some crazy guy from doing just about anything the entire game and whatnot. The more he talks, the more off-balance you seem to become.Â
Then, at some point during his rambling, you raise your hands to stop him. âI donât know where you got it, but ⊠drop that title, alright? Itâs misleading.â
Misleading in what way, he wonders.Â
The large screen suddenly flickers to life, with Egoâs ugly mug on it.
After a brief explanation of the âDormitory testâ, a ball drops right in front of Karasu, and a cartoonish icon made in his image lights up the screen, along with a timer. 2:16.
Ah, he thinks, Way to rub salt into the wound.
Of course, everyone scatters like headless flies. He has to thread this carefully. Losing his cool and randomly shooting at people with hopes of hitting someone would be as good as immediately giving up. If he wants to climb to the top, he should at least attempt to eliminate the âking of the jungleâ right?
That means Mister Angel is at the top of the hitlist.
You look aware, standing in a stance which would make it easy to move around, when the time comes. Thereâs even a small smile pulling at your lips. And yet, youâre looking at him impassively, like heâs an actor whose performance wasnât worth humoring.
Perhaps you werenât as humble as you initially appeared to be?
1:47.
Shit. Karasu is wasting too much time. Still, if he tries to go after you, thereâs no guarantee heâll succeed, and that will lead to even more wasted time. You havenât shown any of your abilities yet, so trying to go in blind is difficult.Â
Guess Iâll have to pick ya apart next time.Â
He kicks the ball.
It flies through the air, heading in the direction of the simple-minded creep, Otoya Eita.
Perhaps it was the very simple-mindedness that allowed Karasu to link up with him and make this play.
âOoh, flashy.â He says, before kicking the ball back just as it touches his foot.
The slam of it against the face of an unfortunate victim cuts through the air.
Sone Yuto.
1:22.
The poor boy manages to barely scramble onto his feet, with his facial muscles creased in pain.Â
Then, begins the rather lackluster period of him trying to hit someone and failing. Karasu almost feels bad.
00:36.
With a flash of movement, against all odds, you come in.Â
00:29.
Karasu watches you as you watch the field. The smile nevers withers away, as you roll the leather football against the floor.Â
00:21.
Itâs almost as if you have everyone holding their breath. Unlike earlier, now you do seem like the strongest of twelve.
00:13.
By now, most people have relaxed, perplexed by your lack of offensive movement. Karasu doesnât give himself the pleasure. For once in his life, he canât find anything that would offer him a glimpse into the workings of your brain.Â
00:09.
00:08.
00:07.
00:06.
Your smile drops, just for a moment.
00:05.
You move so suddenly itâs hard to detect at first. The ball slams against the wall and returns to you. You raise your dominant leg to welcome it, and while youâre keeping balance on the other, you rotate the upper part of your body as to relocate the trajectory of the ball and send it into the space behind you-
-Right into the torso of the boy who had approached you earlier, who was hiding in your blind spot. The impact is strong enough to force him onto his back.
00:04.
Higuchi Kouki.
00:03. Â
Karasu sees you whisper something to the fallen blonde, but he canât hear what. He thinks he doesnât want to know.
00:02.
Higuchi still isnât getting up.
00:01.Â
The outcome is obvious.
00:00.
Higuchi Kouki.
LOSE.
Karasu Tabito looks at you, your trademark smile, your relaxed posture, your burning gaze, and thinks-
What a remarkable guy.

As An IzuOcha ShipperâŠ
âŠthem not ending up together isnât the problem.
Horikoshi taking the âleave it up to interpretationâ approach and then proceeding to COMPLETELY AVOID ADDRESSING their relationship status is the problem.
Horikoshi failing to tie up that one last loose end for Urarakaâs character arc (not closing off her feelings) is the problem.
Again, I ship IzuOcha. Still do, because Iâm stubborn. Would I have liked for them to end up together, even if it was only a somewhat blatant implication that could be handwaved? Obviously. But you know what? Maybe I would be upset if the story went out of its way to explicitly de-confirm any chance of Midoriya and Uraraka being a romantic pairing, but Iâd at least respect it and understand it a lot more if the story let Midoriya and Uraraka actually talk about this, or at the very least SHOWED US them talking about this. Iâd understand if Uraraka completed her character arc by having a heart to heart with Midoriya and telling him that her feelings have changed, her priorities have changed, and Midoriya understands and they remain good friends. Letâs be real, romance isnât Horikoshiâs strong suit, despite his many attempts to leave romantic implications throughout the series. Iâd completely understand if he just had Midoriya and Uraraka talk and they didnât end up together, because at least then it still provides both of their characters with closure.
But no, thatâs too simple. Letâs just âleave it up to interpretation,â because it clearly wasnât that important, right?
Well, as many people on the internet have already brought up, if it wasnât so important, why did you spend so much time putting emphasis on it? Why did you have Uraraka, up until the FINAL WAR, have her crush on Midoriya be a crucial part of her character (it wasnât her only character trait, mind you, but it was still important)? Why did the penultimate chapter have the class come to comfort Uraraka and tell her that they can talk to her⊠and then come the next chapter, Uraraka apparently hasnât done anything regarding her supposed crush on Midoriya? For literal YEARS!?
âŠsee, this isnât even a shipping problem anymore. This is a character problem.
Horikoshi, for whatever reason, chose not to include a romance for the main character and his supposed love interest. And again, thatâs fine, not every story needs to be a romance. Two problems with it here though (well, one problem and an observation):
1) Choosing to not at least address the romantic subplot with a âI think weâre better off as friendsâ encounter, thus actually concluding the subplot and providing a sense of closure, not only leaves the result feeling underwhelming and frustrating, but also actively damages Urarakaâs character arc. We can have her address the problem that caused people like Toga to exist, but heaven forbid she talks about romance with Midoriya.
2) Despite his supposed aversion to romance, Horikoshi still went out of his way to give Gentle and La Brava wedding rings⊠heâs willing to establish a side romantic pairing without bringing too much attention to it, but he canât be bothered to do something similar for the arguable MAIN pairing? Itâs the âTogata has special clothes so he doesnât end up buck naked, but Hagakureâs still gotta go commandoâ debacle againâŠ
Iâma go ahead and wrap this up âcause I donât wanna keep yâall much longer, but like⊠being optimistic, this ending was⊠functional. Iâve got my problems with it, obviously, I donât think it was BAD bad⊠but it certainly wasnât good. It works. Barely. And itâs âcause of stuff like this.
Midoriya and Uraraka didnât need to end up together, truly. All Horikoshi had to do was put the smallest amount of effort and give us something of substance, something with closure. Instead, we got what we got.
I get that he was exhausted and wanted the manga to be over⊠but that excuse only holds up for so long.

Galeâs Top 10: Most Hated characters
Rules:
1. To make this interesting, Iâm going to be picking characters that arenât intended by the writers to be hated (annoying maybe, but not hated). So Villains arenât going to be on this list since most are often supposed to be hated.
2. I will be covering Anime, manga, cartoons, and comics
3. Only content Iâve heard of (and at least somewhat have exposure to)
4. This is a VERY personal list. And If you happen to like a character I list. If itâs below the top 5, thatâs fine. But if itâs above the top 5, please seek professional help.
___________________________________________
10. Z from All Grown Up!
This is supposed to be a 10 year old kid. I kid you not.
When he was first introduced, I did figure it was the simple donât judge a book by its cover story. And yea it was mid back then. But I remember watching more episodes and realizing. Z is actually really f***ing boring and the episode about not judging would have worked if they were all 14 or 15, but Z is 10! They are all 9 to 11 years old! This show was so dumb! What parent lets their kid dye their hair and get piercings at 10?! How would he even know what punk is?
I think my main problem with Z is really the fact that it shows how he doesnât really fit in a story of 10 year olds. Which was one of the big problems with All grown up! As a show. And personally I hate being reminded of why it fails so much as I did enjoy it as a kid.
Though out of all the characters on this list. He at least isnât a jerk.
The other reason was I am a Tommy and Kimi supporter soâŠ. Yea. That too.
________________________________________
9. Ronaldo- Steven Universe
Now I know heâs supposed to be annoying. But thatâs not my problem with him. His obsession with keeping beach city weird is fine. Itâs the entitlement he has.
Not the conspiracy theories, itâs him trying to insert himself into it, trying to be the main character. And itâs always causing trouble for Steven. But I really think what does it is just how selfish he is about it. He never learns, starts to consider other peopleâs feelings. For Steven Universe, a show that gives pretty much everyone a redemption arc, Ronaldo basically goes ânah Iâm good as is.â Thatâs what really grinds my gears about it.
____________________________________________
8. Chloe Carmichael from Fairly Oddparents
Now I should stress that before her introduction. The show was already on a decline with the introduction of Poof, Foop, Sparky.
But Chloe, oh she was a different breed of ruining the show. She made it unwatchable. Like people often complain about Mary Sue characters. CHLOE is a 100% grade A Mary Sue.
She just shows up, gets partial custody of the fairies, everyone likes her, but she somehow a bit miserable so she gets to have faries? Chester is WAY more deserving.
But seriously everything around her seemed to bend to her will. And it was so bad I think they canceled the show midway through the season.
But the reason she is so low is because she was simply the last straw on the shows decline and not the root cause. And I hardly watched the season she was in to care enough.

7. Hiruzan Sarutobi - Naruto Shippuden
Now for those of you who watched only the first part of Naruto you are probably VERY confused on why this old man is on the list.
For those of you who have watched part 2. You know EXACTLY why he is on this list.
This manâs inability to stop ANY of the awful crap that resulted in the events of the story.
-He let the Uchiha extermination happen
-He let Danzo basically do whatever he wanted
-He didnât stop Orochimaru who ended up attacking his village years later (and resulting in his death)
-Never told Naruto about his parents, and Litterally just gave the orphan money and dipped out.
-Didnât stop the village from ostracizing Naruto
And the list goes on.
Like for some things, I get. The uchiha were planning a Coup and it could have gotten ugly but for f***s sake he could have done a better job in negotiations! Also why would he ever trust Danzo?
The rest is on him. Konohamaru is better off having Naruto as his mentor than that old bastard.
___________________________________________
6. Chris Thorndike - Sonic X
I hate this f***ing kid so much.
Oh people complain that Amy is so focused on sonic. Nah man, this kid only ever thought about sonic. This kid even tried trapping Sonic in his world because he didnât want to say goodbye.
âBut heâs lonely without his parents.â
WTF you talking about. His parents see him pretty often despite their careers and both clearly love him. He also has a maid and butler that both watch over and care for him. Not to mention uncle Chuck that is watching over him. Plus he has a group of friends his own age (all of which are more interesting characters than him).
I canât even begin to describe how much of a jerk he can be. I will say the only reason he isnât higher is because Chris actually TRIES to be useful in the matarex arc.
____________________________________________
5. Velma Dinkley - Velma
Or should I say Mindy kaling wearing Velma like a skin suit.
I hate when people turn beloved characters into self inserts and this entire show was this. Now I could go on about how they ruin Velmaâs character. But this, this isnât Velma. This isnât even Scooby doo. Itâs just using its name. And thatâs all I can say. Iâve only watched enough clips to justify putting this on the list. This character and the show are both awful, so at least she isnât ruining the show. And she does die, so at least there is some satisfaction. Which is why she is only this low on the list.
____________________________________________
4. Jared Shapiro - Powerpuff girls 2016
I donât care what the interviews say. No one can convince me this kid isnât a self insert of one of the writers.
An out of nowhere love interest for the main character.
While not as bad as the case of Velma, this one is much more personal having grown up with the OG powerpuff girls. So this makes me want to gag.
Heâs such a bland and weird character. Itâs just so creepy. I canât even begin to describe how creeped out this character makes me feel. It does not feel like him and blossom are the same age either. It just ainât right.
___________________________________________
3. Caillou from Caillou
I happen to like kids. Kids are creative and fun little gremlins. But whenever I see Caillou, the visceral urge to punt this child is intense.
He is the WORST child character in all of fiction. If the show never existed Iâm 100% sure the world would be a better place.
He is a brat that NEVER learns. He says he does but he doesnât. He is always the exact same little turd heâs always been. The only redeeming quality about that show is that the theme can be remixed into a bop.
___________________________________________
2. Paul Jeremiah Rabin from Amazing Spider-man
This man is probably the most hated man in all of spider-man comics.
Zeb Wells really s*** the bed so hard when he created this guy. Making a character that basically kidnapped Mary Jane, gave her super powers, made her get into a relationship with him, and basically ruined Spider-Manâs personal life.
You want to know how bad you messed up when in the issues where spiderman was possessed by the green goblinâs evil and he wanted to kill Paul, PEOPLE WERE CHEERING.
I do not think exists a single person that Likes Paul as a character. Itâs actually kind of amazing.
But he is only number 2, because the ultimate spider man run is helping us forget the TRAVESTY that is Paul.
__________________________________________
1. Dave from Total Drama Pahkitew Island
He was the worst part of the worst season of total drama.
He started off as a whiny less then fun version of Noah and ended up as a clingy, psychotic toad that deserved to get ripped apart by bears.
Now with previous entrees I can kind of understand if there is someone that could like the character. MaybeâŠ
But Dave?
If you actually like Dave and the person he became, we can not be friends. I would recommend a psych evaluation.
The boy is vindictive, controlling, condescending, and overall PATHETIC! And his label was Normal. The normal boy?! Nothing about that âNice guy tmâ is normal. He was a piece of garbage.
Every action he takes is in his own self interest and I donât see a SINGLE redeeming quality about him.
We are supposed to Want him to get together with Sky?
Him dating the Communal toilet would be a disservice to the toilet.
And thatâs all I got to say on that matter.

I had read that omake since it is at the end of volume 5 right after the initial Claw encounter (where I had these Dimple thoughts im the first place) but hadn't thought much of it when I wrote this. Your explanation really brings light to another side of spirits that my mind completely didn't process!
I almost wonder if this concept of willpower or want to live controlling the presence of a spirit is seen in Mogami. When he turned into an evil spirit he had a lot of will to seek his revenge, however when we meet him again after his initial encounter with Mob it seems like he might have "disappeared for good this time" as Dimple asked, especially since we don't see him again after that. Perhaps Mob changed him and once he was released again he no longer had the want to stick around in the world.
Hopfully this idea makes sense because, to be honest, I have never been able to fully wrap my mind around everything Mogami-related and want to study that arc more in the future.
Sometimes I wonder just how powerful Dimple is. Not only does he manage to avoid dying by multiple powerful espers, including Mob, but even when Dimple is "weak," like during the first fight with Claw where he "could have beaten [Matsuo] in a flash" if he was at full strength, he still manages to get out of Matsuo's poisoning jar filled with many other spirits alive. On top of that, Matsuo infuses his energy into each of his containers to make them obey the name he binds to them (which are all sweets related, love that), yet when he called out Dimple ("Mashmellow") there isn't a single moment where he even pretends to obey him. I always saw Dimple as a "haha funny ghost man that isn't really that strong" because it always sounded like he was exaggerating the full strength he should have, but even when he is weakened he can withstand so many powerful espers.
And to add onto this, Dimple wasn't even powerful enough to break through Tarada's mental barrier and possess him earlier that arc. I have no doubt that he is stronger against spirits compared to humans in any state he's in, but he is a very powerful spirit.
#Please add more big things because I love this kind of discussion!#Especially when someone else is able to find details that I miss and explain them#mp100 can seem simple but is SO complex and I feel like I'm barely scratching the surface#I just love the themes of power isn't everything sm and how they focus on everything else and so many things that I canât even articulate#That is why reading through the manga is helping me think of these sorts of things because you can really take your time and study it#So many theories and analysis brewing the more I read through it#But I was basing this Mogami analysis off the anime since I haven't reached that arc yet#And I plan on only reading the physical copies so I only have up to when Mob is still passed out in Claw Part 2#We'll see if Iâm able to keep that up once I reach the end of what's available so far. Volume 11 is released in May so it might be hard#mp100
