List of characters and who they’re voiced by
I remembered Matt breaking character at one point and expressing that people keep crediting a different VA for one of the voices he does, so I figured I’d make something and share it to maybe help avoid any future confusion

Some characters in my rewrite are getting renamed and some unnamed characters are getting names! Here is a few of them
Nicole Von Ronsenburg - Nicole was born the eldest child of the Lord of Scaleswind. Her name when she was born was Nikola but she changed it when she ran away to a less Scaleswind sounding name to blend in further North.
Lord Von Ronsenburg - He never had a name in canon so he's named Alexander Von Ronsenburg now.
Nekoette Ashida - We don't have time to get into the many reasons I don't like the name Nekoette so let's just say I don't like it and move on. Her name is Reina now. I initially named her Rena after Lady Irene but then I changed it to a more Japanese name to fit with Nana.
Kawaii-Chan - This one is easy, changed her name from KC to her birth name from MyStreet because Nana Ashida fits the setting better.
Lady Irene - The religious figure's name is remembered as being Irene but her name as a person was actually Irena. Based on a random early S1 lore drop which was retconned but my ass went but what if it wasn't. In Scaleswind she is remembered as Irena, the person who saved their city. Throughout Ru'aun she is remembered as Irene, the Divine Warrior.
Abraham Goldwin - So he's not technically a character in MCD but he is important to my Zianna so he's important to me. Jeffory and Vylad's father, Zianna's ex-fiance. He is the person Abby is named after and the reason Jeffory and Abby use the surname 'Goldenheart'.
Shad and Irene's daughter - She doesn't have a name in canon but I am giving her one. She accidentally became my favourite character last night when I got a little too invested in her. Her name was Astra.
Finally and perhaps most importantly Aphmau herself - I decided I didn't really like her name so I changed it. Arja is a nickname of Irena in finish and it begins with an A. It's the perfect name for her.

F1's 2025 Grid: What we know so far
As the 2024 season progresses, we start to see who is signing who for 2025.
So far we see that Max Verstappen will be continuing to drive for Red Bull Racing until the end of his contract in 2028 alongside his teammate Sergio Perez who will be remaining at the team due to his newly-secured two-year contract.
Charles Leclerc will be remaining at Scuderia Ferrari as his contract extends until the end of the 2029 season. Unfortunately his current teammate, Carlos Sainz Jr, will not be accompanying him further at Ferrari. We are yet to find out who Sainz will be racing with next, however we do know that Lewis Hamilton will be filling that second Ferrari seat with a two-year contract.
Fernando Alonso will be continuing to race for Aston Martin until the end of 2026. His current teammate Lance Stroll has not yet signed for a team, however it is likely he will be staying on.
Alexander Albon has signed a two-year extension with Williams Racing which will keep him at the team until the 2027 season. His current teammate Logan Sargeant is yet to sign for a team and will most likely not be driving for Williams in 2025 as James Vowles has positioned Sainz as their top target.
Neither of Kick Sauber's current drivers have signed yet, however only one free seat remains as Nico Hulkenberg makes the move from Haas to Sauber on a multi-year contract.
George Russel will be continuing to drive for Mercedes until the end of his contract in 2025. While rumors circulated about Mercedes wanting Sainz to join them in 2025, it is likely that the second seat will be taken by Andrea Kimi Antonelli as the Formula 2 driver is heavily linked with a promotion to Formula 1 alongside Russel.
Both Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri will be remaining at McLaren where both have multi-year contracts and will likely be staying until at least 2026.
Although no one has yet signed for Alpine and Pierre Gasly's position is yet to be confirmed it is reported that Alpine are keen to keep him. Though it has been said that Bruno Famin has named a few junior drivers as potential options for the future alongside Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu. Esteban Ocon is yet to sign also, it is said he is likely moving to Haas.
RB's Yuki Tsunoda has extended his contract with the team through 2025, while his current teammate Daniel Ricciardo is yet to be confirmed. It is said he would be happy to continue with RB but not much else has been said.
Haas' 2024 team consists of Nico Hulkenberg who has already signed for Sauber and Kevin Magnussen who is yet to sign. There are speculations over whether Oliver Bearman will be moving up into Formula 1 and joining Haas alongside Valtteri Bottas.
Although nothing is yet confirmed between Alpine and Haas, we are definitely starting to see some of the puzzle pieces coming together. Let me know about some of your predictions!

Will Farrell "If the trans community is a threat to you, I think it stems from not being confident or safe with yourself.” The trans community women deal with......
By Genevieve Gluck September 28, 2024
A trans-identified man who repeatedly mocked women critical of gender identity ideology online and advocated against female-only rape crisis centers has been sentenced to six and a half years after being found guilty of rape. Alexander Secker, 35, who uses the alias Lexi Bowen, began identifying as woman in the period between the assault and his court hearings but will carry out his sentence in a male prison.
Throughout court proceedings, barristers and the trial judge addressed the rapist as “Ms. Secker” and referred to him with feminine pronouns. But, during sentencing, Judge Jason Taylor KC told Secker: “At the time of this offense, you were a man. You identified as a man and you were, on the evidence, clearly attracted to women.”
In reporting on the conviction, taxpayer-funded media the BBC followed suit, with a headline describing Secker as a “trans woman” while using a photo that depicts him with a full beard.

By Reduxx Team September 27, 2024
A trans-identified male in Chester, UK, has pleaded guilty to breaching a sexual harm prevention order by contacting a child believed to be just 9-years-old for the purposes of sexual abuse.
Chloee-Mae Danvers, 25, appeared at Chester Crown Court on August 13, and pleaded guilty to breaching a Sexual Harm Prevention Order after attempting to contact a child under the age of 18. According to court records, Danvers specifically engaged in explicitly sexual communication with a 9-year-old. He further failed to comply with the order by using aliases on websites without registering the usernames with the police, and for deleting internet browsing history.
Content warning: description of the child porn in his possession
Danvers’ crime came as he was already facing sentencing for a separate child sexual offense – namely, possessing a Category A indecent image of a child, along with making two Category B images. According to the Crown Prosecution Service, Category A child pornography is defined as depicting “penetrative sexual activity, sexual activity with an animal or sadism.”
Danvers’ sentencing, which Recorder Eric Lamb said would inevitably be “substantial,” was set to take place on September 25, but Reduxx has learned has been pushed back until October 11.
Prior to his convictions, Danvers, a male who identifies as a woman, was active in his local LGBT community, and had publicly identified himself as being a player with the “Trans & Enby Football Club in Liverpool.” On a GoFundMe page, the club describes itself as “centering trans and non-binary folks” along with the wider LGBT+ community.
“Too often, queer folks are sidelined in mainstream sports, but in our club, trans people are the majority,” the club notes in the fundraiser’s description. “Your contribution will help us grow our club, enabling us to reach more trans people in Liverpool, and build on our proud community club,” they add, claiming that the money will be spent on training sessions and kit. Their Instagram page has been locked down, and it is unclear whether the club is aware of Danvers’ conviction.
In 2022, Danvers attempted to raise just under £1,400 on GoFundMe for a private gender transition. “Hi, my name is Chloee, and I have gender dysphoria. I was born male, but I desire to be a woman. My only option is to go private with the Harley Street Gender Clinic in Marylebone,” Danvers wrote on the since-deleted page.
“My goal is to transition into a woman entirely, and these funds would go towards me getting to London and paying for the consultations.”
On his X profile, Danvers frequently discussed his love for science fiction, notably Star Trek. In 2005, detectives from the Child Exploitation Section of the Toronto Sex Crimes Unit claimed that of the over 100 offenders they had arrested in the previous four years, “all but one” was a “hard-core Trekkie.”

4, 18, and 33!
4. Favorite season/story arc
It's either Season Zero due to the ties to the OG era of the manga and the horror elements (also, I'm a fan of Toei's 90s style and color choices and the music throughout the series is *chef's kiss*) or it's the fucking 4Kids officially commissioned Capsule Monsters season because it's just... it's so much fun! Everyone gets to fight, including Anzu, Honda, and Grandpa! Not just Yugi, Atemu, and Jounouchi! :D Also, Alexander the Great is a hilarious villain. What a choice!
18. A random headcanon
An old one I've had since I was about 15 (and one I see other people also having lately) is that Jou has a lightening scar going down the length of his body from when he was struck during his duel with Rishid. I imagine it starts right at the top of his head, where it's covered almost completely by his thick hair, but you can see it go down his back and across a shoulder, then all the way down his left leg where there is a huge mass of scar tissue at the bottom of his foot.
33. Favorite quote from a YGO character
Always and forever, it's this one stupid line from the KC Gran Prix right after Kaiba insults the fuck outta Siegfried after their duel.
'HAHAHAHAHAaaaa I'm funny.'
Thank you, Eric Stuart, there was no need for that last bit but it's beautiful and very Kaiba.

Book Recommendations: More Nonfiction Book Club Picks
Midnight in Chernobyl by Adam Higginbotham
April 25, 1986, in Chernobyl, was a turning point in world history. The disaster not only changed the world’s perception of nuclear power and the science that spawned it, but also our understanding of the planet’s delicate ecology. With the images of the abandoned homes and playgrounds beyond the barbed wire of the 30-kilometer Exclusion Zone, the rusting graveyards of contaminated trucks and helicopters, the farmland lashed with black rain, the event fixed for all time the notion of radiation as an invisible killer.
Chernobyl was also a key event in the destruction of the Soviet Union, and, with it, the United States’ victory in the Cold War. For Moscow, it was a political and financial catastrophe as much as an environmental and scientific one. With a total cost of 18 billion rubles - at the time equivalent to $18 billion - Chernobyl bankrupted an already teetering economy and revealed to its population a state built upon a pillar of lies.
The full story of the events that started that night in the control room of Reactor No.4 of the V.I. Lenin Nuclear Power Plant has never been told - until now. Through two decades of reporting, new archival information, and firsthand interviews with witnesses, journalist Adam Higginbotham tells the full dramatic story, including Alexander Akimov and Anatoli Dyatlov, who represented the best and worst of Soviet life; denizens of a vanished world of secret policemen, internal passports, food lines, and heroic self-sacrifice for the Motherland. Midnight in Chernobyl, award-worthy nonfiction that reads like sci-fi, shows not only the final epic struggle of a dying empire but also the story of individual heroism and desperate, ingenious technical improvisation joining forces against a new kind of enemy.
Last Call by Elon Green
The Townhouse Bar, midtown, July 1992: The piano player seems to know every song ever written, the crowd belts out the lyrics to their favorites, and a man standing nearby is drinking a Scotch and water. The man strikes the piano player as forgettable.
He looks bland and inconspicuous. Not at all what you think a serial killer looks like. But that’s what he is, and tonight, he has his sights set on a gray haired man. He will not be his first victim. Nor will he be his last.
The Last Call Killer preyed upon gay men in New York in the ‘80s and ‘90s and had all the hallmarks of the most notorious serial killers. Yet because of the sexuality of his victims, the skyhigh murder rates, and the AIDS epidemic, his murders have been almost entirely forgotten.
This gripping true-crime narrative tells the story of the Last Call Killer and the decades-long chase to find him. And at the same time, it paints a portrait of his victims and a vibrant community navigating threat and resilience.
Yellow Bird by Sierra Crane Murdoch
When Lissa Yellow Bird was released from prison in 2009, she found her home, the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation in North Dakota, transformed by the Bakken oil boom. In her absence, the landscape had been altered beyond recognition, her tribal government swayed by corporate interests, and her community burdened by a surge in violence and addiction. Three years later, when Lissa learned that a young white oil worker, Kristopher "KC" Clarke, had disappeared from his reservation worksite, she became particularly concerned. No one knew where Clarke had gone, and few people were actively looking for him.
Yellow Bird traces Lissa's steps as she obsessively hunts for clues to Clarke's disappearance. She navigates two worlds - that of her own tribe, changed by its newfound wealth, and that of the non-Native oilmen, down on their luck, who have come to find work on the heels of the economic recession. Her pursuit of Clarke is also a pursuit of redemption, as Lissa atones for her own crimes and reckons with generations of trauma.
Lost & Found by Kathryn Schulz
Eighteen months before Kathryn Schulz's father died, she met the woman she would marry. In Lost & Found, she weaves the story of those relationships into a brilliant exploration of the role that loss and discovery play in all of our lives. The resulting book is part memoir, part guidebook to living in a world that is simultaneously full of wonder and joy and wretchedness and suffering - a world that always demands both our gratitude and our grief. A staff writer at The New Yorker and winner of the Pulitzer Prize, Schulz writes with curiosity, tenderness, erudition, and wit about our finite yet infinitely complicated lives. Lost & Found is an enduring account of love in all its many forms from one of the great writers of our time.

The werewolf in the 1922 film Nosferatu is actually a striped hyena.
Tumblr media
Fascinating.
There's a whole big long post on here goes over some of the different stuff from the earlier days of horror films, one of the big ones I remember from it is the use of armadillos because apparently they weren't commonly known and yes the do look a bit weird.
There was something about the bug in the box too.
I can't locate it on my page though.
If you're looking for Classic Hollywood and other horror or monster films @cousin-possum-kc is a good guy to follow for that, I have no idea how he manages to keep track of all the stuff in his head about all this, the different Japanese monster series's, Dr Who, Tolkien, a large amount of anime trivia, and more too but it's up there.
Very well tagged and organized page too, nice guy to boot as well.
I imagine people wonder the same about me with some of my fixations, got a good chunk of Tolkien up there in my noggin too.
I also now do need to check out this nightmares on film website that I got the screencap up top from, looks like it's full of information I will rapidly forget.

VIDEO: F-104 takes off and makes a vertical rise over NASA facilities
Fernando Valduga By Fernando Valduga 04/29/23 - 12:00 in Military, Videos
The video released this week captures the F-104 Starfighter taking off and performing an incredible vertical climb at NASA's Shuttle Landing Facility, demonstrating the capacity and legacy of this iconic supersonic fighter.
The video reveals how the TF-104 takes off from NASA's Shuttle Landing Facility, where research and tests with advanced aircraft are often carried out.
After maintaining a low altitude over the 4,000 meters of length of the runway, the F-104 makes an impressive vertical climb, breaking through the cloud cover and reaching the clear sky.
The action camera in the fuel tank at the tip of the right wing captured the Starfighter as he ascended to the skies.

The Lockheed F-104 Starfighter is a supersonic jet fighter designed as a high-performance attack aircraft and interceptor.
Developed by Lockheed Corporation in the 1950s, the F-104 was in active service with several air forces around the world until the early 1980s.

NASA also operated a small fleet of several versions of the F-104 for supersonic flight tests and space flight programs until 1994.
The F-104 Starfighter was a revolutionary fighter for the time, but ended up being retired due to advances in aeronautical technology and the emergence of fourth and fifth generation fighters.

In the first day of public hearings directed by retired judge Anthony Hughes – titled Lord Hughes of Ombersley (lead image) – the evidence compiled over six years by the police, secret services, CCTV records, and witnesses is that Novichok, identified as one of the world’s fastest acting nerve poisons, was sprayed on the front door-handle of Sergei Skripal’s house in order to kill him by direct contact.
“As each of them touched the front door-handle on  the way out of the house, that they were poisoned with  Novichok,” reported the judge’s chief counsel, Andrew O’Connor KC. “It was this door handle that was the source or,  in their [police] term, the ground zero of the Novichok  contamination”, (O’Connor page 19, line 13, page 24, line 6).
In the official narrative, it then took at least two and a half hours to act on the alleged Russian assassination targets, Sergei and Yulia Skripal, as they sat on a bench in the centre of Salisbury town after drinking at a local pub and then eating at a restaurant. That was between 1:30 pm and 4 pm on March 4, 2018. Between the prosecution’s alleged murder weapon and the attempted murder, 120 to 150 minutes had elapsed. Click to follow  — O’Connor page 20-21.
This contrasts with the official narrative of the Novichok poisoning of Dawn Sturgess on June 30, 2018, that between contact with the poison and her fatal heart attack the elapsed interval was “between about 9.30 and 10 o’clock that  morning” — less than 30 minutes. Follow at https://dsiweb-prod.s3.eu-west-2.amazonaws.com/, line 24.
The evidence of the two assassins – Alexander Petrov and Ruslan Boshirov — charged  with attempted murder of the Skripals  includes “plentiful evidence of their movements  and actions and we will review it in detail during the  coming hearings.  The evidence is complex and of course the detail matters.   For today’s purposes, I propose simply to outline the effect of the CCTV evidence regarding Petrov and Boshirov’s movements in the course of their two visits to Salisbury.”
In the summary presented to Hughes’ courtroom for the first time of CCTV imagery, there is no evidence at all that the assassins came close to the Skripal house, neither on their first walking tour of the town on March 3, nor on the following fateful day, March 4.
