ok I imagine initially only Nik knows Auguste is nobility but later others start catching on i think Alkeion nobility would start approaching him wanting to know more details meanwhile Auguste still recovering so he just wants to nap. Though if Kastor ever came the tension between him and Nik would be intense. Meanwhile Auguste there like plz don't recognize me plz don't recognize me.

Nikandros never made a secret about it that Auguste has to be nobility. Nikandros’ whole entourage is aware of this. But Nik never went as far as to reveal that this is THE Auguste - by this point he grew horribly fond of the man and would not rhisk anything by revealing his identity. As Nik has this ‘matter of fact no bullshit way’ of dealing with things, no one even suspected there be anything more to the blonde guest. Auguste was just seen as a language advisor for the longest time, sure, the way how he came to be in Nikandros’ entourage was topic of gossip, but just minor gossip.

Bevore Damen claimed the throne, Akielon nobles did not care much for the border-stations (like where Nik is at), and focused their attention on the capital and the court. It would have been absolutely beneath Kastor to go visit an unimportant border-fort, he had dignitaries and “errand boys” if he wanted to check in with someone.

So luckily Auguste was never put in such a situation, it never came up.
