Decided to write for 23. "You're precious to me." with some Scott x Jaal. Short, but sweet. ���

Scott adored spending time with Jaal.

Which meant that, by extension, he adored learning about Jaal.

His people, their lives, their customs…

All of it was special in its own right, but Scott liked to think that maybe —just maybe— Jaal enjoyed learning about him as well.

They were relaxing on Scott's bed together, basking in the wide, panoramic view of space while music poured into the Pathfinder's cabin through the room's speakers. Smooth, steady beats lulled his mind into a slight daze. The song proved to be addictive, its rhythm hypnotic.

The lyrics themselves were sung with the allure of a siren’s call, crafted with promises of love and desire to draw others in.

It was mere background noise at the moment. Scott's playlist of some not-so-legally downloaded music was a treasured memento from The Milky Way. He had a decent enough variety, but his favorite songs were the ones he grew up listening to.

Even if they were a bit too mature for him to understand at the time.

Nevertheless, he liked to get lost in the moment from time to time, and so did Jaal.

Sometimes, to fully appreciate it in its raw state, they would simply shut off their translators and just listen.

That was how they first started teaching each other their languages. Jaal had asked what a word in a song meant, and it sort of took off from there.

With their time so limited, they were barely beyond beginner-level words and phrases, but the fact that they were even putting in the effort meant the world to one another.

They were talking about anything and everything they could in so few words, snuggled up together while they were spread out on the bed.

Then, a slower song came on.

Scott instantly recognized it, and he was reminded of simpler days in a cramped apartment on the Citadel. How his mom and dad would crowd into the kitchen, hold each other in their arms, and sway to the beat.

It gave Scott an idea.

Freeing himself from Jaal's arms, he smiled reassuringly at the confused noise that surfaced from his throat.

He stood up from the bed and held his hands out to him, beckoning him forward.

"Come here," he whispered, and Jaal obeyed without question.

Scott led him away from the bed a few paces to give them some space, then he guided Jaal's arms to wrap around him, settled low upon his back. 

Jaal looked down at him with eyes as blue as the sky, and his heart fluttered.

Scott wrapped his arms around Jaal's shoulders, unable to look away.

And together, they swayed back and forth.

At first, Jaal hesitated more often than not, but he quickly got the hang of it.

"Dance," Scott explained, enunciating each word with great care. "We are dancing."

Jaal chewed on that for a second before trying it out himself.

"We. Are. Dancing." He repeated. The words rumbled through him. "I am dancing. With you."

Scott smiled at him in approval.

"Good job," Scott said, and his praise did the trick.

Jaal beamed at him, absolutely radiant.

But he didn't stop there, catching Scott off guard.

"You take my breath away."

Those words were said with greater confidence, practiced and precise.

Scott gaped, his face growing warm.

He swallowed thickly.

"I see Liam's been teaching you a few things again," he chuckled.

Scott pulled him impossibly close, and Jaal let out an appreciative hum.

"You're precious to me," Jaal breathed, "and I adore you."

Clearing his throat, Scott all but melted into his arms.

"Yeah? Well, good," Scott said, leaning up to press a brief kiss to his lips. "Because I adore you, too."

COMING UP WITH A LIST OF MASS EFFECT TAGS

There are different categories of content with a list of potential tags the Mass Effect trilogy and Mass Effect Andromeda fandom already uses. The goal of this post is to find the most popular tag used by the fandom to facilitate posting for content creators. 

If there is already a common popular tag in place like (CharacterA x CharacterB) we don't need to come up with a pairing name such as "beautiful lilac from the clouds", right? But if there is such a pairing name being used as a tag, we need to know...  Sometimes it’s the opposite. We have a pairing name but it's not the one used for the ship's content tag... In that case, we need to know the tag, that’s our priority.
