Is there a reason you haven’t been posting on Instagram anymore/as frequently?

Well, Instagram decided last year that they were going to use literally everyone's posted art to train their AI, and at that time admitted openly that their form to opt out actually didn't apply to Americans. It was a "you can fill out the form, but we're under no obligation to honor it if you live in the US" thing.

I was gonna try to at least post little previews to direct people here when I posted, but. ADHD decided against that for me pretty quickly. When I switched phones, I just didn't bother even downloading the app. 😅

I haven't checked in a while, so if there's a way to actually opt out now, maybe I'll give it another try (though I'm not sure I'll ever fully trust they're not just lying through some legal technicality).

I've been meaning to ask nsfw artists this for a while, but I guess ive been to shy/embarrased, but where do you get your references for your drawings?😅 Because I'm an artist that maybe wants to start dabbling in nsfw drawings, but I dont really know where to look, if that makes sense?

If I see something that inspires me, I'll work from that (like tonight's patreon sketchie was based on an Ernst Georg Hildebrand pic I saw earlier today)! But I'm lucky that I'm able to picture things pretty clearly in my head, so most of the time I think of the basic pose I want to do, sketch it out, then just look up refs for the individual bits that give me trouble. (imo it's often MUCH easier to find those small supplementary parts from sfw pics, than looking for a whole nsfw scene that has everything I want for the picture)

For pose inspiration etc, I think a lot of folks just look at porn and erotic art/photography for refs, and that's probably the easiest place to start! And I think there's a few stock image creators that have nsfw pose catalogues, if you look into those!

((The second easiest place to start is to take a sfw drawing/pose, and remove some or all of their clothing. You can decide if it needs to be altered even subtly to make the overall mood... more. Like changing their expressions, or moving a hand. But it's an easy way to get the ball rolling and your mind moving in the creative direction to think of more nsfw poses. If that makes sense.))
