i read your davekat history explination and after reading what rose implied about jade ending up with dave i'm so bitter about hussie just not going through with that. jade and dave was so heavily implied. why the fuck did dave leave behind a red band for her with a note saying that he missed her? just to mess with her head. he must have known she likes him. and the hell, karkat was so into jade romantically. karkat was pitch for john too at some point but it feels like the fandom forgets that. its only ever about davekat. i pray to god one day hussie will just scrap the epilouge and all the new content.

The day Hussie would do that would be a true miracle.

Seriously, why would Dave do this? This is especially after Davepetasprite^2 kisses her and then STABS Jade to wake her up so she can go against Jack Noir and PM for Collide. Karkat really stopped talking or thinking about Jade by Act 6 and Post Retcon. Karkat had been concerned for Jade the post to the point it even got FUTURE KARKAT to tell his past/current self not to be so rough on her. Jade also had adapted some of Karkat's habits, mainly when angry she would speak out more and curse when she normally wouldn't around others. People who think Jade was always bitch can blame Karkat for making her learn swear words. Karkat was also probably the only trolls that she opens up easily to by the time Sburb started to kick off. I wouldn't be surprised if Karkat insisted on pushing John and Dave to mate within their own human kind, is just him trying to repress his own feelings for Jade because even HE was doing the same thing as Vriska and Terezi. Falling in love with another race when he shouldn't. People really had forgotten that John and Karkat had a lot of interactions. Even the moment Karkat hate him on first sight as he watched John's timeline of him growing up. That's how obsessed Karkat was. This fucker used Trollian to view his timeline of his birth and growth to find out who the fuck he was and decides to hate him the most. They really bounce off each other well of shouty angry guy versus silly goofy guy. I think it is because of the whole John saying 'i am not a homosexual' that the fandom took it too seriously, despite the fact when the webcomic was still in its run, people had no qualms of shipping John with Karkat or any other guy. They just ignored that line and shipped whatever they wanted.

John ♠️ Karkat aka Communism is better than Davekat. They will probably say: A. Meenah and Karkat are only partners just for the war. So the sex is just a benefit between them to vent out (Kakat's) frustrations as it goes on. It's physical, not emotional. People care more about the emotional part cause sex is a no-no. B. Meenkat is a thing NOW. But Davekat will be a thing LATER and headcanon that Meenah will be supportive of the mutantblood gay troll because the troll that would become SEA HITLER, would approve that her closest comrade would rather fuck a guy than her. C. Actually be logical to say that supplementary material from Patreon doesn't count as canon unless it is explicitly stated in the story itself.
