Fun facts about Karat please!

My golden skele!

Karat has markings of gold all over their body, and when using their magic, the markings tend to drip with liquid gold

Karat actually originates from Lustertale! Though, they have been captured by humans, and are used as a living gold generator.

They are a rather lonely skele, but also very shy, not quite sure if people are safe to interact with due to their treatment by humans

Karat likes to play with their gold, making shapes and figures just for fun! They usually will melt back down and be reabsorbed into their body, but they could choose to solidify them to keep them if they wished!

Karat has no pupils, and cries golden tears which solidify once they've fallen.

They actually need to eat metals for sustenance! They could eat other types of food, but they aren't allowed to.

Karat has had people be kind to them, but it was always just to have him make them gold too. He now naturally assumes that's all people would be nice to him for.

Karat has mastered making jewelry, and actually rather likes it! They just find it disheartening people are so greedy for it...

When purchasing jewelry, you'll likely come across the term "carat" — a key factor in a gemstone's value, as higher carat weights often mean higher prices.

A carat (ct) is a unit of mass used to measure the physical weight of gemstones, particularly diamonds.

The term carat originates from the Arabic word "qīrāṭ" and the Greek "keration," both referring to carob beans, historically used as a standard for small weights.

The modern metric carat, adopted in 1907, equals 200 mg and is divided into 100 points. Historically, subdivisions and varied mass values existed across regions.

Meanwhile, karat, derived from the same root, measures gold purity, with one karat representing 1/24th pure gold in an alloy.

For instance, 14-karat gold is 14 parts gold and 10 parts other metals, while pure gold is 24 karats.
