When Mags (the INVENTOR, not the Godslayer Magolor) sent out her distress signal to gather everyone together, those two showed up out of nowhere... and also King Dedede too for some reason.

Now I was happy to see Dedede join the Skylanders, even if it was temporary, but those two? I didn't even know them. Bowser wouldn't shut up about how 'awesomely terrifying' he was and I could barely understand Donkey Kong most of the time! However they were all pretty chill together as a trio. Apparently they all met each other multiple times before, in a different world between worlds that was solely meant for fighting tournaments?? I think??

Regardless, I don't think we could've won that fight between Kaos' Sky Eater if we didn't have them. They all brought a lot of firepower to the team that we surely needed."

In Terrafin Battles the Boom Brothers, Sonic Boom and her hatchlings were enjoying a day-off at the Fantastic Fairy Fair with fellow Skylanders, Terrafin and Hot Dog. The griffin mother heard someone crying nearby and the trio of Skylanders came upon Rocky, a Rock Golem who was taken from his home by the fair's owner Professor Puck because of his magical singing voice that made everyone within earshot dance. After saving Gurglefin from a sticky cluster of cotton candy, the Skylanders attended Puck's circus show with Rocky being the star attraction due to his singing. Soon, the show was interrupted when a group of Trolls and the evil Sweet-O-Tron 3000 trapped everyone, including the Skylanders, under a layer of sticky candyfloss, and kidnapped Rocky under orders of Kaos, believing him to be the Earth segment to the Mask of Power.

hi i wrote this like bulletpoints bc im not making this an essay. tldr youre kinda right but kinda wrong and this isnt new but kaorus issues DO get resolved we just dont really see him say "hey!! my issues are resolved :)) ". he lives through the things he was anxious about and survives so we can see it gets resolved. just in a shitty way.

ep 16/karuizawa arc> kaoru tries to help hikaru and himself to have their own individuality by experiencing different types of relationships and increasing their emotional maturity

ep 21> kaoru describes the cindrella metaphor. the dynamics in the club are the carriage. (haruhi/tamaki as daughter/father noted)

>tamaki is the one leading the carriage, aka the dynamics. hes the "leader" in a sense.

>the host club is facing the struggles kaoru was scared of and in a sudden, unprepared way. tamaki is leaving (might leave and then leaves), kyoya's family suddenly seems disappointed aka he might pull away from the club entirely, in the end theres a lot of changes in the club. they lose hani and mori first in the battle (graduated), then kyoya isnt coming (pulling out for future plans/family pressure), they are running after tamaki as a trio when hikaru gets hurt.

>in the pumpkin patch when doubt is highest and they are thinking about how this is surely the end, we see haruhis flashback to her dad about not hesitating when the time is right. even though she doesnt have the need to continue, she still does because she /wants/ to. AND she succeeds. this would show kaoru that there is no "spell" or some uncontrollable event that would lead to the end of their friendship, and that he can keep it alive just by working on it

>the fact that the show ended the way it did (with tamaharu happening TO keep the dynamics alive + all members working their hardest just to keep it all going) wouldve been enough to curb kaorus worries because it was physical proof that even when the things that he feared happened the group didnt fall apart and even got stronger

>so he lives through his fears becoming true and it gets resolved symbolically. obv i would want there to be a 40 min episode where kaoru goes to theraphy and resolves his issues including the incest kink but the last few episodes were rushed as fuck

Hi! Never disagree with me about the carriage ever again I'm going to fucking kill you. (<- this is a joke i am joking im not mad at u u are my friend)

I've talked about this before -- about what the last episode symbolizes in terms of the carriage allegory. But it was an old post so many people probably haven't seen it.

To showcase why I disagree we need to first realize what the carriage allegory actually stands for.

In short, the carriage is the anime's way of implementing Kaoru's depression arc from the manga. If you're unaware of that, the tl;dr is very similar to episode 21 just without Cinderella metaphors. Scared Hikaru will leave him, scared he'll lose his friends, etc. Except in the manga, Hikaru and Kaoru actually talk about this, culminating in Hikaru dyeing his hair but reassuring Kaoru they'll always be together.

In my mind, the carriage is obviously a stand-in for this. But... It's also trying to serve to be a plot device to set up the end of the show.

My guess is the creators probably thought Ouran would get a 2nd season but it didn't get greenlit, so they had to wrap things up very suddenly, which is why the ending feels as rushed as it does. This is just a theory though.

The carriage, as it is presented in episode 21, clearly is setting up a major plot point: the dissolve of the host club. And since we as an audience are lead to believe Kaoru's word is to be believed, we're also like "oh, shit, is the host club gonna fall apart?"

cuz keep in mind, through this episode and episode 16, the show presents Kaoru in such a way that makes him seem "smart" and "wise" and that his ideas hold some sort of weight to them.

So, to recap, the carriage allegory in the anime is two things: 1, a character-driven arc about Kaoru's fears and 2, a plot device to set up the ending of the show.

This is where the "resolved" thing gets tricky.

The carriage is resolved on a plot-level. By the carriage hikaru, kaoru, and haruhi were one falling into the pumpkin patch, yet still saving tamaki in the end, shows that even though the "spell" ended, they still managed to get their happy ending. The club did not fall apart.

But, keep in mind, Kaoru's side of this equation -- about the fears of growing up, drifting apart, being different from his brother -- are not touched on.

To say it was resolved because of the pumpkin patch thing I think is just...wrong. At best it's incredibly lazy writing.

Tamaki & Kyoya had character-driven arcs, too. Ones that were presented throughout the whole show. And those actually got resolved in the final episodes. Yes, they were still open-ended endings, but they were acknowledged. That's what I'm pissed off about when it comes to the carriage. It doesn't get fucking acknowledged ever again. Not even a little bit. The best we get is symbolism that only, as I said, solves one half of the puzzle at best.

Read this over and realized how cornball it is but whatever its like. Skylanders and I can do whatever I want

Skylanders Superchargers AU

- Kaos gets kicked out of his own Kastle after Darkness replaces him with his own mother as emperor. Finding out he was only a figurehead for the darkness. (After Pushing the button, reluctantly) Leaving him stranded on an isle in his torn emperor gowns, broken crown and without his mark of darkness. Without any semblance of being able to use magic.

- Kaos is helped by Flynn and housed in his airship, the people fear him. Cali is paranoid, Hugo avoids him. So Kaos keeps to himself, regretting firing Glumshanks even more after finding out that he’s dead. And now that the inevitable destruction of all of Skylands is his fault. Flynn tries to cheer him up, awkwardly. Kaos is put off by these attempts, not eating the enchiladas or even leaving the room for a long while.

- Kaos warms up a bit after some missions, and having to help around the ship. Being socially inept, but more so weirded out that the Mabu trio dont mind him after a while, even acting kindly towards him. He still misses Glumshanks, but feels a bit warmer confiding just a little in the three Mabu. Still giving the cold shoulder to all skylanders though.

- He finds that he’s able to preform magic still, albeit less powerful than before. Kaos becomes more and more determined to regain a status as most powerful Portal Master. Now with the Mabu trio’s help when he reaches a sore point. He still has a tone as if he wants to take over Skylands at the end of all of this, but his words are much different then before. More focused on just getting rid of the darkness, and much more appreciative and even a bit nicer.

- A confrontation with his mother, nearing the end of the journey, he just, hates her unabashedly now. The ‘betrayal’ is praised by Kaossandra once again but Kaos berates her. The woman looking shocked as Kaos fights her, the Skylander tasked to survive all the debris, and find the rift engine. Said rift engine originally used to trap the darkness has a new prisoner now when the fight is over. Eon stares on, watching after giving the skylander one last speech before the final battle begins.

- Kaos, arms torn and magic weakened. Still dares to take on the darkness with only the skylander by his side. Eyes glowing white with unbridled rage, maybe hope, a passion. Eon cant just sit back and watch, like he does every time. And decides to jump in the fight before Kaos gets too injured. Disappearing once again, this moment lets Kaos/The Skylander serve a final blow to the Darkness. “Banishing” him.

- With Eon and the Darkness gone, Kaos slams onto the isle below. The Skylander and Mabu running up to see if he’s even still alive. He is, but there are large black, scars along his arms that trail up to a veiny scar on his back. Almost resembling the mark of darkness.

- Nobody is there to rule, the top sensei and skylander veterans take charge. Kaos soon having enough trust to have a say in things. Glumshanks returns, being less of a servant and more of a friend.

- The search for Eon never stops, though there are people saying they’ve seen him. They never get his appearance right. So they’re assumed to be lying.

- Its found out long after, that the darkness took Eon’s old body, and was able to harness it fully. Becoming Strykore.

- During Kaos’s time helping Skylanders academy. Strykore attempts to overthrow him, being defeated a bit quickly due to not being able to control Eon’s powers over the skylanders and Eon’s old body now finally aging. Without the core of light’s blessing keeping him alive due to the darkness’s grasp on him.

- Eon dies shortly after Strykore is Defeated. The darkness being sealed in the Ultimate Kaos trap, and that being sealed in Moneybone’s dimensional traptanium cage. Not the most optimal or permanent solution, but until a better option provides itself its all they have.

- Kaos and Eon have a short discussion before he passes, Eon telling him how proud he is of Kaos. How he’ll make a great leader, to take care of them all, and himself. Kaos cries, simply letting Eon speak.

- A statue is built in remembrance of Eon. And Kaos is officially the new ruler of Skylands. He’s actually pretty good at it, (Glumshanks is there to help along with the Mabu trio)

Skylanders Review: Eruptor

ERUPTORRRRRRRR. For our first Fire Type Elemental, we get the classic lava rock monstertype. Another simple one, but I appreciate a straight-forward creature who'd be a one-off mook in a game's volcano level get the MC treatment for once.

[Image: Eruptor is a humanoid rock monster made of hardened lava, with several large cracks in his body revealing the magma under his "skin". He has an egg-shaped body with thick limbs that lack any real fingers or toes, his legs are simplified in the same way a cartoon elephant's limbs would be. His "hands" however, are rounded stumps where most of his lava pours out of. He has a human-like face without any eyebrows or a nose, and a mouthful of triangular teeth that shine like gold. He has a strong brow, and the top of his round head has small stalagmites growing out of it.]

Eruptor is a fun guy, I'd hang out with him even if there's a chance I'd evaporate within 2 feet of him. He's the guy friend to Spyro in the Skylanders MC trio, so he gets the boy main character traits that aren't reserved for the marketable dragon, mostly "anger issues" and the whole Grumpy Bear Schtick.

He represents his element in everything from his design to his personality, and I like him a lot. Again, this type of monster is reserved for reuseable mid-level enemies but he's a playable character in Skylanders. You'll see this a lot, especially for Undead Skylanders, where the art team incorporates every fantasy type available and chooses to include some more "villainous" tropes as the basis for good guys.

His entire species of lava elementals were created and housed in the core of a volcanic island in the sky. However, during a party an argument broke out causing a volcanic eruption, launching the entire civilization to the surface.

I like the detail in Imaginators that he finds small vermin like rats and bugs scary.

Superchargers saw fit to have this guy drive a car despite his lack of hands, but I like his alternative fit a lot. In fact, if I was judging his new design as its own thing, I'd probably would have given it five Chompies.

"Lava Lance Eruptor" actually wears clothes, because magic I guess, and sports a denim jacket and cerulean colored steel helmet. His right arm has become a lance made of sharpened lava, with a metal cuff around where a wrist would be. His stalagmites now form a pseudo-mohawk, piercing through his steel helmet in a way that makes it resemble those spiked biker helmets.

Eruptor is named after his ability to not only vomit a pool's-worth of lava, but his knack for getting mad easily. In fact, he mostly joined the Skylanders because he hates evil as a concept.

Random but, Lava monsters are funny right? Because in games like this they can't use it realistically, it'd be lame if Kaos turned into dust if you lightly brushed against him as Eruptor. But...he's still punching people with lava; he still produces some heat. That has got to be awful even considering cartoon logic.

Motto: "Born to Burn." - Not that interesting and pretty hard to say oddly enough. Mid. 2/5.

One of his moves is called Mega Magma Balls by the way.

initial thoughts on checkered past’s shows, since i didn’t grow up with them:

1. the pacing for the dexter’s lab part of dexter’s lab when they had a dial m for monkey segment in the first episode? it was really fast and rushed. not sold yet

2. ed edd and eddy reminds me A LOT of clarence. not sold yet

3. hoo boy i like grim adventures so far, it’s my favorite rn, specifically for mandy. trio is great overall. billy doesn’t sound like zim or kaos unless you think really hard which is appreciated (wonder if the va was just doing a zim impression whenever he voiced kaos and since that’s the only times i’ve heard that va i assumed the worst about billy)

4. i didn’t expect courage to talk for some reason. the show’s ok, not as horror-y as i expected which is appreciated!

im still trying to give every single show here a good chance so i’ll probably watch the whole block again tomorrow. heard they’ll be airing the “popular” episodes this week, and today was just the earliest ones.

also who made those pre-episode ids. jack stauber vibes 💀💀💀💀 ofc in the instances where they actually aired the appropriate ones for the show up next… like when they aired dexter’s lab’s for courage and courage’s for grim adventures

"Ah... The foolish Apprentice. You've fallen for my trap! Now you're in my domain, where I am ALL POWERFUL!!! And you aren't. So what if you managed to rebuild that dinky ancient core? Once I finish you off I'll just destroy it again! Now what sky lame-o(s) have you sent to fight me?

Then he addresses the skylander(s) you sent out to fight him before the battle begins. In this remake, due to my favoritism which I only allowed for this one Instance, Flameslinger is also in the starter pack.

Spyro: "Oh if it isn't Spyro. The goody good favorite of Master Eon. It's such a pity... You already failed Master Eon, so now you get to fail your new weak portal master all over again! Hahaha!" (Digging into Spyro's insecurities about failing to save those he cares about)

Gill grunt: "Eh... Gill-Runt! I'm surprised you even found your way here given you never found your little Girl friend. Hahaha! Prepare to fry, fish face!" (Making fun of Gill grunt's backstory and his fear of being cooked)

Trigger happy: "Trigger happy? Gah! How much gold did you waste on those little peashooters of yours? Thinking you could take me on is the craziest idea you've ever had!"

Flameslinger: "Oh... If it isn't LAME-slinger. Wearing that dumb blindfold because I bet you're scared to look me in the eye! HAHA! I bet you're quaking in your little elf boots!"

Bahkan Voli

Seperti biasa, acara yang dinahkodai kedua bestie beserta sakernya ini selalu kewren poll. Vindes Sport ke-5 dengan olahraga Voli sukses tergelar. Aku rasa, ini adalah yang paling seru dari yang sudah-sudah. Ketegangan tiap set yang berhasil epic comeback, walaupun bukan profesional tapi layak banget buat ditonton yang bahkan dalam 24 jam sudah 3M++ penonton.

Prediksi memang di hati, tapi ga tau kenapa dari awal berharapnya The Actors yang menang. Tapi secara keseluruhan GG🔥 terutama untuk mas adi alias Dwi Sasono, Tanta Ginting, Surya, Vincent, dan Bryan Domani.

Diawali dengan datangnya kedua grup, yang satu pakai bis mengenakan jas hitam kemeja putih ala pemain film mafia. Yang satu naik mobil bak terbuka mengenakan kaos olahraga SD awal-awal touring Prediksi. Tidak lupa gimmick menggunakan helm biarpun naik kendaraan roda empat. Yang paling lucu adalah saat sang ketua turun sambil mengayunkan kaki seperti orang yang bingung gimana sih turunnya🤣

Awalnya saat di reveal para aktor yang akan menjadi lawan Prediksi, ga ngeh kalau Bryan bakal main juga. Sebagai, aktor muda yang akhirnya gabung ke sirkel bapak-bapak, ternyata mainnya oke juga. Pantas saja, Vincent memujinya di podcast Trio Kurnia ep. 63.

Info: The ol' papa penguin himself shows up along with Bowser and Donkey Kong through the rifts caused by Kaos' Sky Eater (if you read the comics, you know what happens). After learning about the Sky Eater and what that thing could do to other worlds (including his home in Dreamland), King Dedede joins the Superchargers stop the Sky Eater and to clobber dat 'dere Kaos!

And to complete the new "Smash Bros trio" (cuz they all are from Smash lmao), with DK driving on the land and Bower flying through skies, King Dedede gets to traverse through the waters in his own sea vehicle! (which I haven't designed yet cuz I can't draw mfing vehicles for the life of me)

Thank you all for waiting patiently for this silly reveal! King Dedede is my number one favorite Kirby character of all time (which might be surprising to some, cuz this whole AU is about Magolor lol), so getting to make my boi into a Supercharger was one of my top priorities for this AU. I love this big penguin so much, so he deserves to have a bit of the spotlight on him for the Superchargers Arc.

And sidenote- Thank you for the kind words, stranger! I'm glad you like my AU so much!

As cheesy as it sounds, you guys are one the things that keeps me motivated.
