🧪Find the Word🧪
@theprissythumbelina tagged me not too long ago for the words: Jinx, Call, Inch, and Flex
I'll tag: @oh-no-another-idea, @baroquesse, @tananaphone, @saphoblin, and @sentfromwolves for the words: quiet, bring, short, button, safe
Snippets from CTQ under the cut!
👀JINX
“This leg of the trip certainly seems quieter,” Lubbock mused.
“I’m going to pretend this is about us no longer traveling with Ashora and not you almost jinxing the rest of our trip,” Killian said.
Lubbock flushed. “Sure, Sir.”
.
🔵CALL
“Bring it in here,” Kaniel ordered. “I’ll take the call myself.”
A brief look of surprise crossed Schwab’s face before he nodded and went back out to grab the stone.
If Kaniel was going to be dealing with an assassin, even by proxy, it was best he do it himself for the initial set up. Then he could send someone else to do further contact if necessary.
.
2️⃣INCH
“Hello little brother,” Ciara said, smiling.
“It doesn’t make me any shorter,” Alistair said.
He was a whole two inches taller than Ciara. But she was two years older than him, which she felt counted for more.
.
💥FLEX
Mica grinned and clicked a button.
Taryn reflexively covered her ears anyway, though the spell the mage had put around the blast area did its job. With only a muffled wumph, the door blasted almost in on itself before collapsing off to one side.
The shield Fiddler had put up did not block out the sound of the alarms however. Taryn saw Killian mouth the word “Move!” Perhaps he said it and she just couldn’t hear. She clicked the safety off on her gun.

Noam Kaniel - The Mysterious Cities of Gold 1982
Esteban: Child of the Sun, known outside of Japan as The Mysterious Cities of Gold (French: Les Mystérieuses Cités d'Or), is a French-Japanese anime series, animated by Studio Pierrot. Mitsuro Kaneko (MK Productions) wanted to make an animated series based on the young adult fiction novel The King's Fifth by Scott O'Dell; a book that detailed how the Spanish stripped the New World of all its riches. The story was adapted by Jean Chalopin and Bernard Deyriès, and is very loosely based on the novel; in 1532, a Spanish orphan named Esteban joins Mendoza, a navigator, in his search for one of the Seven Cities of Gold in the New World. They are joined on their quest by Zia, an Incan girl, and Tao, the last descendant of the sunken empire of Mu (Hiva in the English version). The series is a mix of ancient South American history, archaeology, and science fiction. During their journey, the travellers encounter the Mayas, Incas, and Olmecs. They discover many lost technological solar-powered wonders of the Mu Empire, while they're constantly pursued by the antagonists who are also in search of the Cities of Gold.
Jean Chalopin founded the production company DiC Entertainment in 1971, which specialized in children-oriented television and film productions. Through the company, he co-created, co-wrote, and/or produced successful television series, including Ulysses 31 (poll #541), Inspector Gadget (poll # ? :) ), The Real Ghostbusters, Sonic Underground, Dennis the Menace, Rainbow Brite, Care Bears, and Heathcliff.
The Mysterious Cities of Gold was directed by Bernard Deyriès, Edouard David, Kenichi Murakami and Kenichi Maruyama. Shingo Araki was involved with the series as an animator and some episodes were directed by Toyoo Ashida and Tatsunoko Production veteran Mizuho Nishikubo. Nobuyoshi Koshibe composed the original Japanese score, while the Western version is credited to Shuki Levy. Originally, Koshibe's score was to be used for the French version as well. However, Bernard Deyriès recalled his reaction to the proposed music he heard from Ulysses 31 in that he felt that the score was rather understated as he was expecting a more adventurous feel, something akin to films like the Indiana Jones movies. At that point Shuki Levy had met up with Bernard Deyriès, in which he became involved with the soundtracks of Ulysses 31 and The Mysterious Cities of Gold. Levy has been credited to the music of a huge amount of shows such as Inspector Gadget, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, She-Ra: Princess of Power, Digimon: Digital Monsters, Sylvanian Families, Heathcliff, The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! (poll #543), and Lucky Luke.
When The Mysterious Cities of Gold was rebroadcast in Japan on NHK BS2 from 1998 to 1999, the animation was imported back from France and the audio was redubbed. NHK had erased the original VTR when their contract expired, and the rights holder had lost the master copy. The voice actress for the main character, Esteban, was the only one to reprise her role. The second season of the series, serving as a continuation of the original 1982 series, premiered on La Trois in Belgium on November 17, 2012; 30 years after the original first season was aired.
"The Mysterious Cities of Gold" received a total of 57,7% yes votes.

(Update: It's finished!)
Please enjoy the link to AO3 below.👇
Today I am posting the beginning of the fic of Kaniel. I am not feeling very well, both physically and mentally, so I apologize for not being able to get the finished product out right away🥺
Dream on the bed
(Daniel Bryan x Kane, Kane x Daniel Bryan)
Chapter 1: Worriment, or…
Daniel was forced to shrink quietly in the car, which smelled slightly like a mixture of the stench of death and some smoky perfume. It was no wonder, for in the seat beside him sat two druids, hoods so deeply drawn that no one could see their faces, making sure that no one could touch their masters.
He was by no means caught up in the Deadman's mind games.
One day, while spending a precious holiday given to him by his company with his lover, Kane, he received a short text message on his cell phone. The text had a few typos in it, but when he saw the sender's name and realized that it had been typed by Taker who had just bought a phone, Daniel chuckled lightly as he realized that it had been typed by Taker flicking through the screen.
The problem, however, was the content of the text.
"You've been having some terribly lewd dreams lately...including one where you had sex with young Kane, right?"
...It was all too accurate and illustrative. Daniel had recently spent some time watching old match videos on streaming video sites, and he often watched the ones in which Kane, who had just made his debut, was the main contestant. He didn't dislike his current lover's shape, but his body, which was about 20 years younger than it was now, thrilled Daniel terribly. Not slim overall by any means, but moderately muscular with a good amount of fat, a meaty chest and buttocks, arms so thick they could knock anything over, and a wild bearded face that was never shown from beneath the mask....
Eventually, Daniel continued to gratify himself by secretly wanking over it without Kane's knowledge, and eventually began to fuck the Big Red Machine hard, even in his dreams.
"I'm going to give you what you want, what do you say?"
Before he could reply with a yes or no, another message arrived. Daniel frowned at Taker's overly intrusive behavior, but was greatly annoyed. ... but he quickly flicked the screen and replied, "OK, I'd love to if I could".
A moment later, the air around him turned cold for a moment...and it sounded as if someone had pulled up in front of his front door. Daniel thought, "No way," and opened the door to find a black hearse parked there. The driver's window opens, and Taker, wearing a T-shirt, bandana, and sunglasses, peeks out.
Daniel was puzzled for a moment by the other man's gesture, "Hurry up and get in," when suddenly someone forced him out of the car from behind. Before he knew it, the two druids were inside the house, grabbing Daniel like police officers taking in thieves and leading him to the car.
And so Daniel is now. He was rocking in a doze, not knowing when, where, or why he was being put in a dark car. He was worried that he himself might have been tricked by Taker for the sake of teasing him, and that he might be a victim of his magic or something else. Daniel tried to close his eyes, but his mind was filled with two thoughts: the fear that he might be tricked by Taker for the sake of teasing him, and the unfounded hope that his "wish" might come true.
He was awakened by the sound of brakes and tires scraping gravel.
Taker said, "We're here," and got out, and Daniel also got out as the druids pulled him halfway down.
It was a new looking little house, not sure when it had been built here. Taker went inside first and made his way through the somewhat dusty interior. Daniel ran and somehow managed to follow him inside, while Taker seemed to be heading for the basement.
The door was opened and they entered a cozy room with camera-like equipment and a double bed.
"Don't tell me you're doing this here?"
Daniel's voice quivered with confusion, and Taker replied casually, "Well, yes.
'Now I'm going to make a 'clone' of Kane. I hope it will give you what you want."
With that, Taker pulls a piece of chalk out of his pocket, and quickly draws something that looks like a circle on the shiny new flooring near the bed.
"You're going to sit in it in your underwear, you can't handle your 'clone' without it..."
A clone? At Taker's words, Daniel, terribly suspicious, took off his clothes, put on a pair of boxer shorts, and sat down in the circle. The Undertaker, who dealt in all sorts of magic, was a puzzling man to anyone, but he was fairly certain that he was not the kind of man who would cause his brother grief by making some sort of sacrifice of his own.
The taker stood in front of him and began to chant some kind of incantation as he raised his arm. His eyes glow white, and a bolt of power shoots out from his arm like a bolt of lightning, and it circles Daniel...knocking him unconscious in an instant.

You know that spreadsheet I made? It's got an upgrade. Same information (with some errors fixed), but actually presentable now! Because surprisingly, it turns out that my friend, who is actually knowledgable about IT and used proper web design tools, can make a better looking site than I did by creating an Excel spreadsheet, copying the text into Notepad, adding HTML tags, and uploading the table to some free site that will let you host a single HTML page there.
Seriously, it's awesome. I'm quite enjoying looking at it. It's got a search function that lets you narrow results and actually works. All the links are still there. The text is way more readable, with things like different colours involved (I was going to put colour on my HTML page, but it seemed like too much effort to figure out).
And once again, I would like to say, to Andy Zaltzman, who came on The Bugle and announced that he'd looked up the Chocolate Milk Gang and was confused by the result: the work's been done for you, Andy! And for anyone else who wants it! No one else needs to spend dozens and dozens of hours across several years Googling this odd niche, because I've already done it! And I have a friend who knows how to do websites, so now it's even readable:
This page is going along with a larger archive that's currently under construction, but the whole thing is going to be really cool, archiving comedy is cool and useful. Although if Kitson ever manages to stumble across it, I will deny having any involvement with that archive, or, in fact, ever having heard of Kaniel Ditson.

💥Find the Word
Thank you @kaylinalexanderbooks for the tag!
My words are: abuse, question, spare, bring
Turning around and tagging: @sentfromwolves, @isabellebissonrouthier, @turnips-creates, @kae-luna, and @sithbelle (no pressure!)
Your words are: sit, nap, argue, hand, flight
Snippets from Siege under the cut!
📨BRING
The sergeant looked him up and down. “Lance Constable Niles, do you mean to tell me that you singlehandedly destroyed that tank?”
“There’s a weak spot at the grill,” Niles grumbled. It seemed pointless to deny it further. Anyone who could form a fire-whip knew that weakness. It certainly had made Niles feel safer sitting in McCormack’s fucking trenches.
“Noted,” the sergeant said. “Though what brings the two of you over here?”
“We’re trying to deliver a letter to General Steviss from the Field Marshal,” Niles said.
The sergeant raised an eyebrow. “Haven’t seen the Sir in a bit,” he said.
.
💤SPARE
“I’m going to take a nap,” he continued. “Give me that spare telestone so I can check on you in a couple hours to ensure you sleep.”
There was no point arguing with him. She pulled the telestone out of her bag and handed it to him.
“Do you need me to make her sleep?” Celia asked.
“Might just,” Kanjo said. “She’s being terribly stubborn about it.”
“Uncle Kanjo!” Rinnie growled.
“He clearly cares about you,” Celia tutted. She looked back at Kanjo. “I’ll make sure she rests after we’re done talking.”
Rinnie sighed loudly. Kanjo ruffled her hair, to be extra annoying, and then left.
.
💢ABUSE
“Oh, shut up you overpaid bodyguard. You aren’t exactly well in the head yourself. Otherwise, you would have handed over the vials already,” Kaniel snapped, stepping closer to Killian and pointing an angry finger at him. “I’m giving you one last chance. Give up the cure or I’ll take it from you.”
That honestly surprised Killian. “Wow. That’s what this is about? At our level I’ve never heard of this happening. I expect a lot of slimy shit from you, but I never expected you to abuse code-phrases,” Killian said in a voice that was almost wonderous. He straightened his spine, towering over Kaniel easily. “As before, the answer is no. Not just no, fuck no. You cannot and will not take the cure from me. I will hand-deliver it to our Queen, or die trying.”
“Fine!” Kaniel shouted as he made a short but complex gesture with his left hand.
.
❔QUESTION
Captain Harrison and the crew began pre-flighting. Killian tagged along, asking questions.
Rinnie walked around the ship, admiring the beauty. Everything from the specially-treated, aluminum frame to the nose cone made entirely out of Damian Glass—enchanted to resist bullets and, well, everything else. It had supplementary wings, clearly outfitted for longer expeditions, despite being marketed largely as a racing ship.
Grandpa Edgewing would have loved to lay his hands on one. Rinnie gingerly reached out and touched the smooth metal of the hull.
“Care to explain your fascination with airships?” Killian asked, coming up behind her.
“Oh!” Rinnie jumped in surprise. She pushed hair out of her face. Killian chuckled.
“There’s no point trying to hide it,” Killian continued. “I can see you ogling.” Rinnie sighed. “My grandfather was an airship mechanic,” she explained. “All he ever talked about was ships, races, and shows.” She smiled fondly.

What song did you personally like the best out of this round? Did a song make an impact right away or did it require the full version? Did the artist/series reveal change your opinion for better or for worse? Tell me in a reblog! :D
(note: this is not a popularity contest or to vote for a favourite animated series out of loyalty 💖 it's still about the song.)
