I have a request from people in the Miraculous fandom:

I can not do art for the life of me. I suck at drawing, and I suck at drawing my favorite characters and my comfort ships. So this is a request for anyone who has mad fanart skills:

Would someone make an Adrienette wedding fanart? They’re older and Marinette has longer hair, her dress is roughly an A-Line silhouette and Adrien is looking good in a classic black tux? Can someone please make this? I feel like I haven’t seen any adrienette wedding fanart in FOREVER. Especially since they’re finally getting together in season 5!

Funnily enough, I've done this one! It's called Last Night (Lukanette, lol) but here's another (I'll do... Ladynoir):

Marinette squinted at the squiggly lines in the grimoire as she tried to decipher the text. None of it made sense. She looked back at Tikki. “And you say that this is necessary for the holders of the ladybug and black cat to do once they are both twenty one?”

Tikki nodded. “Absolutely.”

“Why haven’t we heard about this before? Like from Su-Han or Fu?”

Tikki’s eyes drifted across her ceiling. “Because there haven’t been many ladybug and black cat holders at the same time in the last few centuries so it wouldn’t be something either of them knew about!”

“But-” 

“Trust me, Marinette! This is very important and needs to happen very soon!”

Marinette was still a bit uncertain. From what Tikki had described, this was some kind of rite of passage where the kwami would chant some kind of blessing? She wasn’t sure, but they’d chant something as she and Chat Noir held hands and it would not only serve whatever important purpose it needed to but would also bring the two closer as partners- which would hopefully help them defeat Shadow Moth. 

Even with her doubts, Marinette trusted Tikki. They’d been together for nearly eight years and if she said it needed to be done…

“Okay, Tikki. I’ll talk to Chat and get everything set up.”

Tikki smiled brightly and zoomed around the room. “Amazing! I’ll tell the other kwami to get ready!” 

As she disappeared into the miracle box, Marinette could only smile. 

What’s the worst that could happen?

“Now kiss!” 

Ladybug’s head snapped towards Sass, the kwami that floated before the grimoire reciting the ancient words, and frowned. “Kiss?”

Sass nodded. “Yes. A kiss is required to seal the pact. It’s normal for these kinds of ceremonies.”

Still unsure but trusting the kwami, Ladybug nodded and turned to Chat. “Is that okay?”

Her partner was beaming ear to ear. “Of course. I’ve always wanted to lock lips with you and remember it, Bugaboo.”

The two pressed their lips together - Ladybug could acknowledge that it wasn’t too bad and that there was a spark that had her wanting to stay in the embrace a little longer - before pulling away. 

As soon as they parted, the kwami burst into cheers and celebration. 

“Congrats!”

“Congratulations!’ 

“This is amazing!”

“Can’t believe it took eight years!”

“I wonder when they’ll be little hatchlings?”

“They’ll probably come once they’re used to cohabitating!” 

Ladybug’s head spun as the kwami continued to cheer and shout things that made no sense to her. It wasn’t until she turned and saw the look on Chat’s face that she realized something was going on. 

“Chat? What’s wrong?”

The black cat hero cleared his throat a few times before meeting her eyes. “I think… Um, well, based on what they’re saying-”

“Just tell me. I have no idea what’s going on?”

Rubbing the back of his neck, Chat took a deep breath. “Don’t panic, but I think we might have accidentally just gotten married.”

Everything spun around Ladybug for a moment as the words registered in her head. 

Married.

They were married?

How?

Why?

Who? 

Then it clicked.

That sneaky little bug! 

“Spots off!” 

The transformation dropped and her kwami emerged from the earrings looking mighty guilty.

“Tikki…” Marinette began.

The kwami threw up her hands. “It was for your own good! You’ve been denying your feelings for Chat for ages and me and Plagg decided to do something about it!”

Marinette’s eyes bulged. “But marriage? Tricking us into some kind of kwami-ordained wedding? How- Come back here!” She shouted as Tikki zoomed away.

Unaware of her gobsmacked partner, Marinette took off after the kwami. “Tikki! You tricked me!” 

A few minutes later, Chat Noir’s mind began working again. “Claws in.” When Plagg appeared looking smug, Adrien’s eyes widened further. “Marinette? Marinette’s Ladybug? And we’re married?”

Plagg grinned. “Congrats, Kid. I hear the honeymoon phase is the best part.” Adrien didn’t move an inch as the kwami winked at him before looking around the room. “Now where’s the cheese?”

Okay, so: Lukagami fake marriage

Simple synopsis is that Tomoe has decided that she's had enough of Paris/Gabriel/akuma attacks/Kagami's rebellion... you name it, and she's moving back to Japan and is trying to force Kagami to go back with her.

Thing is, Kagami is of age (this is an aged-up au btw) and so she lies to her mother and tells her that she can't be forced to go back to Japan because she's married to Luka. When Tomoe asks what ever happened to Kagami's relationship with Adrien, she says that they broke up amicably and Adrien's now dating Marinette [they're not, but right after the confrontation Kagami messages them both asking them to back her up if they're ever asked]. And Luka's chill, so he'll play along.

So then shenanigans and we have Lukagami with Adrienette on the side.

Classroom Wedding

"Basically I want a goofy class and a dorky Adrienette being domestic and cute and ridiculous" was the idea XD

I thought it'd be cute if there was some sort of scenario where the class is mucking around and then through some lighthearted teasing and whatever, they get a bit carried away and “marry” Adrien and Marinette for fun. They’re joking but they do the whole thing with faux seriousness and it’s a little ridiculous but it’s fun, and then it becomes a running thing from that point on where they’ll call them husband and wife and if there’s partner work, Adrien immediately takes Marinette’s hand and is like “I can think of no better person to do this assessment with than my lovely wife” and vice versa, or if one of them mentions being ever so slightly ill, the classmates summon their “partner” as though it’s life or death and they come racing, or-

And I pondered on which dynamic (pre- pre-; prpr; post-reveal established relationship) would be best before thinking how funny it'd be if it was pre-reveal pre-relationship - they’re getting up to all these lovey-dovey shenanigans and have no idea that they love each other or that they’re each other’s superhero partner. Then imagine they carry on these shenanigans into the Ladynoir dynamic, both saying they’re “married” to their best friend, and since it happened to both of them, they don’t question it and assume there’s some sort of popular internet trend or something, and so when the reporters ask, they’re both like “we’re married to other people, my hero partner is truly my best friend”

And then shenanigans when they take the joke too seriously (but in a fun way), like they got rings for one another: all the boys took out Adrien to look for a ring for Marinette while the girls took her out for a ring to get Adrien, but they all bump into each other at the shops and have to pretend that they’re not doing what they’re actually doing because they wanted it to be a surprise for the other

Silly fluffy shenanigans with the class and Adrienette is all I want, and I don't think I've seen enough of this kind of content, so I'm like "well, maybe I'll write my own, idk"

Yep I give those recs! This is actually one of the tricker cases, because on the one hand there's a lot of them and on the other hand they're interwoven with a lot of other things and often don't have specific tags to search with, so I'll see what I can do. I'm mostly just looking for fluff fics that have more than one side of the Lovesquare represented.

Honestly thanks to season 5 I genuinely don't believe Marinette should be dating Adrien.

Like I'm not even referring to her stalking behavior the show tries to retcon and justify or her being extremely toxic when jealous(volpina, Animaestro, Ikari Gozen Etc) but the parallels she has with Gabriel and how she willingly choosing to keep from Adrien about stuff which can and will put him in the Harm's Way till he learns the truth(aka him being a Senti monster and his parents wedding rings being his amoks)

The thing about Adrienette in Season 5 is that the show brushes aside any personal issues that would get in the way of a relationship, and most of the conflict involving the couple stems from Gabriel trying to break them up while everyone gushes about how perfect they are.

Why couldn't we get episodes about Marinette and Adrien learning how to make their relationship work thanks to personal growth?

Headcanon that Adrien puts Alya and Nino in charge of hiring the media team (photographer and videographer) for the wedding. His one requirement is that he and Marinette own all the rights to all of the photos and videos that were taken, whatever extra they have to pay to get the photographer to agree to that.

Of course, Alya and Nino take full advantage of this, so when Marinette opens the hard drive of wedding media it’s just like

An updated List of ML Crack Theories I Am Considering, part 2

The Couffaine family is of Romani descent and trauma due to discrimination is what caused Juleka to develop selective mutism, and to be held back a year, and Luka developed an atlas complex.

In the Paris special, there is a whole scene dedicated to the lesson Plagg says of "Sometimes, destroying IS the best path to build anew. Trust me. It works for me more often than not." Surprisingly, this is never brought up in the special. Could this mean it will be addressed in season 6 and onward? I like to think yes. The possibility Adrienette will also be killed, Adrien learning about Chat Blanc and Ephemeral, Adrien learning The Truth? Their destruction will open up opportunities to create anew.

Gabe and Emilie either never wore Adrien's amoks, or quit wearing them extremely early on. It's a commonly believed in the fandom that the silver ring Gabe wears on his middle finger in season 1-3 is Adrien's amok. This is untrue, even if the fan wiki says that it is. All three rings are plain silver bands. It is a very simple mix up and I don't blame anyone for thinking this way. Gabe is a sentimental man, and would not wear his wedding ring (the object that represents his devotion to Emilie) on his middle finger. The twin rings are first revealed in season 3 episode 24 "Felix." Gabe slips the rings on his and Emelie's left ring fingers, as one does with wedding rings. (It is noteworthy that MLB is notorious for errors, and even after Gabe switches to wearing the amoks, there are still scenes where he's seen wearing the middle finger ring haha)

Gabe didn't nearly murder Felix when he tried to akumatize his amok in "Adrien Agreste." If you look closely, Gabe actually akumatizes the fake copy of Adrien's amok. Gabe DID nearly murder Kagami when he akumatized her amok in "Perfection." It's only by sheer luck that Ladybug and Chat Noir couldn't figure out where her akumatized object was and had to use another method of rescuing her.

Gabe lends the Peacock Miraculous to Colt Fathom knowing it was broken and the possible eventual consequences. Gabe indirectly murdered Colt Fathom.

Sabine has known Marinette is Ladybug since day 1. I've seen this theory floating around for a while, but I think Sabine will ALSO tell Marinette that sometimes keeping some secrets is important, even from your most loved ones. (Tom doesn't know). Maribug will that this as proof that keeping The Truth from Adrien is the right thing to do.

There's going to be some sort of parallel or foil arc between the Amelie/Colt and Emilie/Gabe VS Sabine/Tom and Sabine's obviously fraternal twin sister/whatever she's doing now in London

Sabine "settled" for Tom 20 years prior, and was deeply unhappy with her life in Paris, but has learned to love Tom and the life she now has. (Maybe they had Marinette and it "fixed" their issues). Tom knows something was off, but nothing of the great extent that Sabine felt troubled in their early relationship.

Adrienette adopt a hamster to parallel this. Marinette names the hamster Adrien. It ends poorly.

Luka has known Adrien was Chat Noir since Desperada. (A mutual put it best: Luka having a suspicion so early would fit with the snake being perception/intuition. Snakes called 'light' and forbidden knowledge, and all that >:3c)

Felix acts odd in his debut episode due to the fact he's never had his amok, and there is an adjustment period

The events in Emotion are directly tied to Strikeback, and his memories of a specific trauma in his previous universe. Bonus points if Barkk's final cry that he wants to stay with Ladybug is somehow foreshadowing of this fact.

Mr. Lee is just a pseudonym of Colt Fathom, and Zoe is his bio daughter, and not a sentimonster... yet.

Adrien has Colt-related trauma probably from that time he and Felix swapped places when they were kids. Bonus points if Gabe or even Emilie either knew, blamed Adrien for the trauma, or was somehow otherwise involved.

Emilie was also a horrible parent and didn't change until she was on her deathbed.

They're gonna double and triple down the deaths of Ladynoir, Marichat, and Ladrien.

The Love Square IS endgame BUT it's Felix and whoever was his og Ladybug in a previous Universe.

Just a heads up that wedding art from nutmargret is actually characters from ouran high school host club!! Looking at the tags it seems like a bunch of people thought it was adrienette but I thought I’d let you know!
