Sculptor Kwon has nothing to hide, just many sculpture ideas to be put into action and so little time because he has to help with the dude that was killed in the train of all places.

He's no investigator, or train staff, so really, there's nothing he could offer other than artistic expressionism and his keen eye for details. That's why, when he was investigating, not even the little sign of struggle and imperfection in one of the unfinished sculptures near the dining car went unobserved by him. It could be the author's fault, after all this was an unfinished piece of art, so they could very well just given up and taken it out in the stone, but they still manage to sell it to a luxury train, so Sculptor Kwon leans more towards the option that this is a clue.

Poor Han Kangjun, or whatever the name of this man was, it didn't really matter to Sculptor Kwon. What an unfortunate end, to have it all be gone by a letter opener of all things. Not even a heroic death. Dead by a stationery item.

Because of that, his first suspect was none other than Porter Carter. Since he's in charge of keeping inventory, how did he miss that of all of things and just assume it was an oversight? Something was surely amiss with that one. But then, when they spoke, he seemed so earnest, it was almost convincing.

His second guess had to be the Runaway Groom Hyoseop but that's just because of how shifty he was during the entire time. But then that was mostly his gut feeling talking, but as an artist, you learn how to not ignore your gut feeling. It's almost always right.

Ticket Clerk Choi, though. That was looked like he had something to hide for real. Someone who always meticulous and gets stressed when something goes wrong, just to have someone carrying a suitcase full of sensitive documents embark on his train? It's a recipe for disaster.

Medical Student Kim and Chef Su would know how to handle sharp objects, but then, so does Sculptor Kwon and he knows he mostly definitely didn't do it.

MYSTERY OF THE LUXURY TRAIN - PROMPT 1B

How unfortunate. Medical Student Kim thought helping a fainting man was already enough excitement for this train ride, but fate decided to kick it up a notch with a murder.

The passenger he was helping had a flair for drama and insisted he was more ill than he actually was. It took Medical Student Kim several minutes of stern convincing before he finally shook off the man with illness anxiety disorder.

He did not know the victim but overheard from others that he was an entrepreneur called Han Kangjun. People believed he was carrying some important documents in a briefcase and which could potentially be the reason behind his death. The murder supposedly happened between six and seven, peak dinner time. Around 6:50 PM, the train entered a tunnel that dimmed the dining car and allowed crime to occur.

The murder weapon was a letter opener. Whoever the killer was, they had considerable strength because letter openers weren't that sharp and would require a decent amount of force. Oh, there was also that spilled wine glass with lipstick on the rim.

"I am no detective, and I really have no idea who could have it out for the entrepreneur." Medical Student Kim mumbled to no one in particular. "Perhaps it's the runaway groom. He seems the most anxious this evening." Medical Student Kim's mind was capable of generating wild stories. If he was guessing, he might as well be bold with it. "Also, I noticed a bruise on the victim's neck. A small one. It could have been from a prior altercation." He might choose to tell the others about this later. "Maybe the victim had an argument with a lady." He gestured vaguely at the spilled wine and the stain on the glass rim. "They fought, and that was how the wine spilled. Who here has any connections to a woman? Hyoseop. There must be a reason he fled his own wedding."

Anyway, he'll probably know more once he get the chance to chat with the others.

this was not a situation cha would’ve liked to end up in, fleeing from one disaster to another. he’d attempted to distract his mind, by looking out the window and taking in everything that was going on outside, looking at the birds, the trees, the water they passed by. it was a hard task he was attempting, to somehow forget what he had run away from, and though what happened now was a great distraction, it also wasn’t exactly what he wished to be distracted by. a murder, and somehow he was a potential suspect along five other people.

he goes over in his mind what he knows, the victim is han kangjun and there’s a briefcase missing. he attempts looking around for any simple clue there might be, knowing if he doesn’t try to think about this murder his mind might just start thinking about the failed wedding again. so, what is there to notice? there’s the missing briefcase, the torn business card, the spilled wine glass, footprints and an open window, and, shit. a ring. cha places his foot on it, drags it across the floor until it’s close enough for him to pick it up and put it in his pocket, and great, now his mind is back on the failed wedding. 

he looks around again, anything to distract himself, is there anything else to notice? he looks at the light, looks normal, looks outside the window, looks normal, looks around at the five other people, and they all look… normal. you’d think after a murder people would be panicking more, yet here they are attempting to figure out the murder themselves. truthfully it could be anyone here, but cha feels like it’s more likely it’s not porter carter, he might attempt to speak to the other later, he’d feel most comfortable sharing his thoughts with the person he thinks is least likely to do it.
