okay so like there's a wasp nest situated right next to my backyard door and for some reason i just want to fucking set it on fire. idk maybe the little caveman inside my brain just wants to make fire but i just wanna fuckin turn the wasp's home into ash. i wouldn't even use a lighter, my burning hatred would suffice to set that mass of evil ablaze.

ccckk ch5. excerpt below:
It's as if the magic was never there in the first place. Did you mess up? Where? How? Why? Are you gonna get another chance? When's that gonna happen? Does Totoko-chan not like you? “Hold your face up. I'm almost done.” She starts applying pressure to your lips, humming some half-remembered nursery rhyme. Well, if she didn't like you at least a little bit, you two wouldn't be sitting here like this, right? Yeah, right? Right? At the thought, your face goes supernova beneath layers of pore-clogging gunk. If it was just this forever, and you got to stick your dick in it, that might be the closest to heaven on earth.

Mythological animals that I think should be used for Arknights character designs
I posted this on Reddit, might as well post it here too.
Arknights has a lot of myth-inspired characters already beside the obvious dragons, angels and devils: We have Pegasi (the Nearl family), Griffins (Archetto). Hippogryph (Hellagur), Phoenixes (Fiammetta), Kukulkán (Ho'olheyak), Cerberus (Ceobe), Typhon (well... Typhon)... you get the picture.
So... why not add some more mythical animal-inspired designs? Here are some that I think would be awesome to have in the game.
Cadejo:
Tumblr media
What they are: The Cadejo (Spanish pronunciation: [kaˈðexo]) is a supernatural spirit that appears as a dog-shaped creature with blue eyes when it's calm and red eyes when it's attacking. It roams isolated roads at night, according to Central American folklore of indigenous origin. In some variations of the myth, there is a good white cadejo and an evil black cadejo. Both are spirits that appear at night to travelers: the white cadejo protects them from harm and danger during their journey, while the black cadejo (sometimes an incarnation of the devil) tries to kill them.
What I think would be cool: A Perro Dollkeeper that switches between "white" and "black" mode in battle, giving some really nice flavor to the "doll" mechanic. Bonus point if HG goes the Archetto/Ho'olheyak route and give them Sarkaz or Caprinae horns while still having them be of Perro race, as lots of Cadejo artwork represents them with goat horns and/or hooves in line with the whole devil aspect of the legend.
Kamaitachi:
Tumblr media
What they are: Kamaitachi (鎌鼬) is a Japanese yōkai often told about in the Kōshin'etsu region. They appear riding on dust devils and they cut people using the nails on both their hands that are like sickles. One would receive a sharp, painless wound. The name is a combination of the words "itachi" meaning weasel, and "kama" meaning sickle. In the Musashi region and Kanagawa Prefecture, they are called "kamakaze" (鎌風, "wind sickle"), and in the Shizuoka Prefecture they are called "akuzen-kaze" (悪旋風, "evil whirlwind").
What I think would be cool: Seriously, why do we not have an Anaty operator based on these guys yet? Why wasn't Shirayuki one? It is not like Arknights has not based characters on yōkai before (Suzuran and Utage immediately come to mind), so where's our sickle weasel at?
Tatzelwurm:
Tumblr media
What they are: In the folklore of the Alpine region of south-central Europe, the Tatzelwurm, Stollenwurm, or Stollwurm is a lizard-like creature, often described as having the face of a cat, with a serpent-like body which may be slender or stubby, with four short legs or two forelegs and no hindlegs. The creature is sometimes said to be venomous, or to attack with poisonous breath, and to make a high-pitched or hissing sound. Anecdotes describing encounters with the creature or briefly described lore about them can be found in several areas of Europe, including the Austrian, Bavarian, French, Italian and Swiss Alps. It has several other regional names, including Bergstutz, Springwurm, Praatzelwurm, and in French, arassas.
What I think would be cool: ...okay, I will be honest, I just find the idea of a lizard or serpent-tailed catgirl or catboy really cute (Bonus points if they have cute venomous little fangs). Yes, the idea of putting serpent tails were you wouldn't expect to find them has already been used for both Utage and Ho'olheyak, but not only are both of those examples also based on mythology (The Nue for Utage, Kukulkan/Quetzalcoatl for Ho'olheyak), but their designs also seem to be decently popular with the fandom, so why not repeat the formula?
Simurgh:
Tumblr media
What they are: The simurgh (/sɪˈmɜːrɡ/; Persian: سیمرغ, also spelled simorgh, simorg, simurg, simoorg, simorq or simourv) is a benevolent, mythical bird in Persian mythology and literature. The Simurgh is depicted in Iranian art as a winged creature in the shape of a bird, gigantic enough to carry off an elephant or a whale. It appears as a peacock with the head of a dog and the claws of a lion – sometimes, however, also with a human face.
What I think would be cool: As with the Tatzelwurm, I just want to see what HG could design based on this. There's no doubt in my mind that such a character would have to be a Liberi, just like Ho'olheyak, Archetto and Hellagur before it. I want HG to give us what initially seems like a new Perro or Lupo waifu, fluffy wolf/dog ears and tail, with just a easily missable peacock feather on her hair to foreshadow her true inspiration... and then when the character actually comes out they reveal her as a Liberi seemingly out of nowhere, big majestic Simurgh on her E2 art background, all Lupoknights players utterly jebaited. Let's keep this trend of weird Liberi going, please!

OK so I am back from seeing the Super Mario Bros Movie and I just want to write down my thoughts here. I’m gonna mention spoilers so read on at your own risk under the cut.
So overall I had so much fun while watching this film. I know all the criticisms about the film: with the rushed pacing, light story, and general lack of character depth. And, yeah these are indeed issues that are present and will not be pleasing for some viewers.
However
Personally
I loved the film despite these flaws.
While the pacing is rushed and the film overall could have done with at least 10 extra minutes to flesh out the characters more, it is still an enjoyable ride with cute colourful animation that had me grinning from ear to ear the whole way through. Especially the drive through Kong country, the rainbow road cart chase, and the final battle in Brooklyn.
Yes the story is not that imaginative, and there are times where characters seem to go along with something because the plot requires them to (like when Peach and Mario first meet and she just decides to trust this complete stranger to come along with her on a politically important mission). But, again, I felt that they executed it rather well and had enough interesting interactions and standout moments that made it all worth while.
While the characters are not presented as the deepest individuals they are still the characters we know and recognise, and overall they have enough interactions and funny banter that make them enjoyable to watch and root for.
The brothers relationship is beyond adorable.
Bowser is simply a fantastic villain that you both love and want to see defeated.
There was some surprisingly dark moments and not just from that demented luma. Like Peach basiacally kills King Bobomb, and the blue shelled paratroopa kamakazes themselves. And Bowser tries to commit human (and penguin and kong) sacrifice.
Overall what I can say about this film is that it is no masterpiece of cinema like How to Train your Dragon or Spiderverse. BUT, what it is is fun.
I can honestly say that I had the same feeling watching this film as I did as a kid playing Mario games on my DS.
And sometimes thats enough.

Shadows Over Loathing! Fairies! :D
Tumblr media
I don't have anything against fairies, but clearly, this game does! So I decided to write about how I deal with these little in-game nasties. (I like fairies a lot, ngl)
Faerie Exploder
Tumblr media
Don't bother attacking her, she's gonna kamakaze herself in her first move. Unfortunately, it hurts everyone on your team.
Faerie Wackadoo
Tumblr media
Fuck this guy in particular. There's a 50/50 chance he'll heal or poison everyone in the battleground. Get rid of him first.
Faerie Mushtender
Tumblr media
This guy is also annoying; he summons a mushroom baby every turn. If you don't get rid of him quickly, you'll have more work cut out for you than necessary.
Faerie Gunmother
Tumblr media
Annoying, but nothing terrible. She fires three bullets at random targets.
Fairie Twigthumper and Pineneedler are the least of your problems, so I'm not showing images of them here.
Conclusion
Fairies in this game are annoying, but they give cool rewards like fairie wand cores, which can turn your weapon into a wand. (I used it with the swordleaf leaf sword because the idea of having a magical leaf amuses me to no end.)

Cats are super autistic.
My roommate his this old cat. After bringing him home he was pretty nervous around me. One time I was sleeping and he felt playful. Fucker kamakaze attacked my face and as a reflex I backhanded the fucker halfway across the room. Took almost 3 years for him to relax around me again and start being my buddy. Over the last year we've been getting along pretty well but this dude has major separation anxiety whenever roomie goes to work. Roomie decided to get another cat so he'd have a friend when nobody is home. Turns out old cat doesn't like new cat at all and he blames ME for bringing this intruder in. Now he doesn't want anything to do with me again.
Well almost never. Earlier he started meowing for my attention really loudly. I went to see what the trouble was. He wanted to sit in the window but new cat was in his spot. Sucks to suck dude. You've decided we're not buddys so I ain't doin shit for you.

whatever fucking oxycodone they put me on after surgery today got me finally posting ch4. make sure to like and comment and subscribe and question and fear and avoid and submit and commit and reblog for the bit. an excerpt:
Satisfied, absolved of any responsibility, you finish setting the bait on your hook before casting it back into the pond. Karamatsu sits next to you in either actual silence or you’ve finally perfected tuning him out - you’re pretty sure it’s the former though since you’re never that lucky, not if he really wanted your attention. A familial pair of voices quickly break the tranquility in a familiar manner. Choromatsu, who raises his hand, “Choromatsu and…” Jyushimatsu, who raises his hand, “Jyushimatsu’s…” In unison, “ …delivery skit!!” “Aesop’s Fables that aren’t actually Aesop’s Fables!” Choromatsu delivers the title card.
