Idea: Tomioka arrives a day earlier and is able to fend off Kibutsuji Muzan either A) Sunrise or in the more likely scenario, B) he turns Tomioka into a demon. Either way in this scenario, Tomioka turns into a demon but instead of eating the Kamado family like Kibutsuji expected, they just kind of... adopt him. Fangs and all.

I kind of think of Tomioka as being like a really, REALLY feral cat that doesn’t want to be feral but can’t help it half of the time; the Kamado’s understand and are nice to him.

Tanjirou tries to find medicine for him while he’s in town.

Nezuko repairs Tomioka’s haori when it gets damaged or messed up.

Hanako and Shigeru teach him a bunch of fun activities which he just kind of... goes along with.

Takeo shows him how to cut wood and they discover he’s VERY good at slicing up trees and the such.

Rokuta decides that Tomioka is a good nap buddy.

Kie basically adopts him as her seventh child despite the fact that he’s MUCH older than the rest of her kids and Tomioka kind of sees her like a big sister. 

I imagine that he wouldn’t really remember much - if anything - but would know just enough that he REFUSES to harm humans and may or may not try to harm himself due to him being a demon which is very quickly shut down when they tackle him into hugs and he starts to realize that he’s basically a part of the family and adopts the Kamado’s in turn. Instead, the Kamado’s give him some of their blood on the regular but he mostly goes out on his own to hunt down and eat whatever wild animal he can find and whatever he doesn’t straight up massacre, he brings back for the family to eat. 

Anyway, fast forward a while and a demon slayer comes by to discover... all of this.

KNY HORROR MOVIE AU: GRASPING SHADOWS

Summary:

19-years-old Tomioka Giyuu receives a call from the local police of his old hometown, about his old guardian Urokodaki being arrested as a suspect for the missing children that have been going on for years. Returning back to prove the innocence of Urokodaki, Giyuu discovers a more horrifying truth about the missing children...while also trying to protect two strange kids that claim there is a 'monster' with many arms living in the mountain.

Storyline:

• When Giyuu was 13-years-old, his best friend Sabito suddenly went missing one day on a Summer night. The only thing that was left of him was a piece of fabric from his haori.

• Giyuu enters a university away from his hometown, only to receive the news about his guardian Urokodaki being arrested as the primary suspect of the missing kids in the hometown.

• While Urokodaki is being interrogated by the police, he manages to ask Giyuu to take care of two children that seek protection under his care; Tanjirou and Nezuko.

• Wanting to find a way to prove Urokodaki's innocence, Giyuu starts an investigation of his own about the missing kids.

• Along with the Kamado siblings, the three of them find clues that lead them towards the mountains that always have wisteria trees blooming around the base.

• Memories and the trauma of the past start to mess with Giyuu, rendering him to an emotional mess that he starts to see ghosts of Sabito

• Tanjirou and Nezuko can see the ghosts of the missing children, making friends with Sabito and Makomo along the way. Thanks to the children, they finally managed to find the roots of all the missing cases.

• The demon with many arms makes himself known, chortling as he begins to hunt the three humans through the mountain the dark of the night

• It turns out many of the missing children were orphans and helped by Urokodaki, who always gifted them with fox masks. Urokodaki had met the demon in his youth and trapped it in the mountain with the wisteria to cage him. Thirsty for revenge, the demon managed to lure every kids Urokodaki had saved and ate them. Sabito and Makomo were amongst the unfortunate ones.

• Giyuu tries to fight the demon off with the swordsmanship skills he learnt from Urokodaki, but since he stopped training after Sabito's death, he is easily defeated by the demon.

• His main defeat is mainly caused by the demon's taunting of Sabito's death, like how he ripped off the boy's head before eating him. Blinded with rage, Giyuu strikes the demon but then gets struck off his feet and injured.

• With the momentary distraction between the demon and Giyuu, Tanjirou managed to kill the demon with an axe by slicing the demon's head.

• The demon crumbles away in his death, turning into ashes. The fox masks belonging to the missing children were found in a cave at the feet of the mountain.

• Giyuu finds Sabito's mask and holds it close to his heart, finally finding the closure.

• With no supporting evidence, the police let Urokodaki go out of their custody. Urokodaki is told what happened and breaks down in tears.

• Graves for the kids are built, with each of their masks placed on every one. Giyuu places Sabito's mask on a grave as a sense of letting the past go while Tanjirou and Nezuko place Makomo's mask on her spot.

• The Kamado siblings are adopted by Urokodaki and Giyuu promises to take them to the city on holidays if he can as he prepares to return to university.

• As he leaves, the ghosts of the missing children are seen at the mountain. One by one, they turn and disappear into the mist, with Sabito and Makomo being the last ones as they mouthed the words "Thank you" to Giyuu and the Kamado siblings.

AUtober Day 5 — Magic

Guys… I might’ve gotten a little carried away on this one but it’s just because this is one of my favorite aus. This is a magic au I’ve had for a while (that may or may not be based on Witch Hat Atelier…) and I will definitely end up posting more about it here soon enough!

A little context for this au is that there are two factions of witches: the Kizuki headed by Muzan and the ones at the Kimetsu School of Magic under Ubuyashiki. Muzan has been causing trouble for centuries, using magic to harm others and extend his own lifespan. His ultimate goal is immortality and to be the most powerful of them all. However, this power can only be accessed by the Blue Spider Lily, which has been guarded by the Crimson Witch for generations. The Crimson Witch uses the original (and most powerful) form of magic: Sun Magic and is the only one who can effectively take down Muzan.

Also, there’s a small group called the Witch Hunters. Witch Hunters do not care if you’re a part of the Kizuki or seeking to protect others at the Kimetsu School of Magic, to them Magic is plaguing humanity and they will hunt all witches until it’s gone.

Here’s a little info about the characters above‼️‼️:

Giyuu Tomioka: “The One Who Mastered the Seas” — He will literally go down in history as the best Water Magic user who ever lived. He is part of the “Hashira” and mastered the art of water. He doesn’t think so though, and is always looking for someone to replace him. Yes, he does wear the fox mask from time to time.

Tanjirou Kamado: “The Crimson Witch”— After his dad passed away from illness, the title and responsibilities of the Crimson Witch were passed down to him at 13. However, he is NOT ready in the slightest to take on that role. In order to be protected he was placed in the Kimetsu School of Magic and Giyuu took him as an apprentice under the impression that Tanjirou would replace him.

Muichirou Tokitou : “The Witch of the Mist”— A child prodigy. After being rescued from the Kizuki, he took to learning magic very quickly and shot up the ranks, becoming a Hashira in two months. But there’s one problem: He doesn’t remember anything. He doesn’t remember his family or anything about the Kizuki, or what the Kizuki did to make him absorb magic so fast.

Kanao Tsuyuri: Shinobu’s apprentice. After being adopted by the Kochou sisters they trained her in the ways of magic and medicine. She took to flower magic very quickly. She’s able to grow all kinds of herbs and flowers, and has a special flower on her hat that will not bloom no matter what she does. Until she came into contact with Tanjirou one day.

Giyuu babysits Muichiro because Tsutako was Muichiro's nurse when he was in the hospital.

Obanai and Shinobu live in the same apartment building.

Kanae and Tsutako are dating. They met at the hospital Tsutako works at.

Kanae is Inosuke's mum's therapist.

Shinobu has babysat Inosuke on multiple occasions before.

Tanjiro and Kanao are dating.

Mitsuri and Obanai are dating, and Obanai sometimes stays around hers during holidays.

Aoi has a crush on Tanjiro.

Zenitsu doesn't hold any romantic feelings for Nezuko.

Shinobu and Giyuu are very close.

Rengoku's family used to babysit Mitsuri and her siblings, but ever since Kyojuros mum died the families haven't interacted outside of Kyojuro and Mitsuri.

Mitsuri can't drive so Obanai drives her around.

Family:

Giyuu lives with his sister since their parents died when he was younge due to an illness.

Sanemi and Genya live with all their siblings and their mum. Their dad is in prison for domestic violence.

Shinobu lives in her older sisters apartment since their parents passed away when she was only 12.

Obanai lives with Kyojuro in the same apartment building as Shinobu. He was born and raised in a cult that he fortunately escaped from, and was adopted by the Rengoku's.

Mitsuri lives happily with her parents.

Kyojuro lives with Obanai, he used to live with his acholic dad and younger brother but left because his dad was getting worse. His younger brother stays with him during the weekends.

Tengen has an apartment with his three girlfriends. He doesn't want to live at home since his family is a military family and don't agree with his educational choices. His girlfriends also come from a military past. But all four of them have put it past them now to live normally.

Gyomei lives on his own, but does babysitting after school and on the weekends. He babysits Sanemi's siblings often.

Muichiro lives with his parents. Unfortunately when he was 10 him and

Yuichiro got into a terrible car accident. Where in the heat of the moment Yuichiro leapt across his seat to shield his brother. Muichiro got a serious head injury and can't remember anything.

Tanjiro and Nezuko live with their family and own a bakery.

Zenitsu lives with his granfather and his adoptive brother. Although they don't get along well.

Kanao was recently adopted by Kanae and Shinobu. She was trafficked and abused by many people before ending up in an orphanage, however the orphanage didn't know how to deal with her trauma so they contacted a known therapist, Kanae, who decided to adopt Kanao.

Aoi lives in the orphanage Kanao was sent to. She works part-time for Kanae.

Inosuke lives with his mother. His father (not douma) is in prison for r*pe of a minor (Inosukes mum). Inosukes mum gave birth to Inosuke when she was only 17. (WHICH IS LIKE CANNON??)

Other facts about school.

Shinobu, Giyuu, Mitsuri, Obanai, Rengoku and Sanemi all went to the same high School that the younger kids go to.

Tengen and Gyomei went to separate schools.

Sanemi had a small crush on Kanae during his high school years.

Giyuu and Shinobu shortly dated before finding out they were both gay. However, they continued to play date because they didn't want to come out.

Rengoku set Obanai and Mitsuri up when they were in year 10. They've been datingg ever since.

Sanemi and Obanai used to get detention quite often since they misbehaved. Giyuu also got detention but because he skipped many lessons. Thos caused Obanai and Sanemi to dislike him and think that he didn't value his education and must have thought he was better then it. Giyuu on the other hand just didn't enjoy sitting in the classrooms due to how anxious it made him, and would do his work on his own somewhere else.

Giyuu didn't have many friends as he kept to himself and skipped many lessons.

Shinobu and Mitsuri became good friends in year 9, Shinobu had a little crush on her but quickly got over it when Mitsuri and Obanai started dating.

In Tengens school, no one believed him when he said he had three girlfriends because they each went to different schools. That was until he took all three of them to his prom. It was pretty flashy.

Giyu Tomioka: Hogwarts AU

Giyu Tomioka is a Pureblood wizard that was born on the 8th of February 1974 and started attending Hogwarts on the 1st of September 1985, being sorted into Ravenclaw House.

He was orphaned at a young age because of the First Wizarding War but was raised by her older sister until she perished as well which caused him to be sent to the Fairy Tail Orphanage before he was adopted by Sakonji Urokodaki.

He quickly became best friends with Sakonji's other son Sabito with them spending most of their time together before he perished saving Giyu's life during their third year which caused him to become withdrawn due to survivor's guilt.

After he graduated from Hogwarts, he became an auror and eventually started to open up a little again after his adoptive father adopted the Kamado siblings who became like a little brother/sister to him which also resulted in him opening up enough to befriend other people again.

He eventually became a member of the Order of the Phoenix during the Second Wizarding War and eventually got engaged to his fellow Order member Shinobu who he married in the summer of 1997.

He eventually participated in the Battle of Hogwarts which he survived and helped with the defeat of Akaza but he did lose his right arm and his fiancé in the process which caused him heavy survivor's guilt which took a long time to get over.

While it did take him a very long time to recover he eventually did, got back to work and eventually got re-married to Sanemi Shinazugawa who he had two adopted sons with.

He has a Beech wand with a Phoenix Feather core.

His Patronus is a Whale Shark.

His favorite subjects were Charms and Potions.

His least favorite subjects were Flying and Herbology.

KNYAU Masterlist

Just a list of my KNY AU's and what to expect. This is technically a rehash of my first post, but I thought this would be an improvement from the extremely basic descriptions of that post. Plus, I have more AU's to share.

Sunlit Blossoms|Kamado Sibling Role Swap (🌸): Your standard Kamado role swap with Demon Tanjirou and Demon Slayer Nezuko. Instead of Tomioka, the siblings are found by Rengoku, and it leads to a cascade of butterfly effects.

Sunflowers and Thundering Fireworks|Ship Swap (💕): I need a better name for this because it is not strictly ships being swapped, but the main characters are swapped with their ship counterparts. Nezuko and Tanjirou are the tsugukos of Tengen and the Kochou sisters respectively, and Kanao is a Demon Slayer trying to turn her demonic adopted brother(Zenitsu) back into a human. Other characters are moved around as I pleased, not really based on ships.

Mirrored Sunset|Full Reverse AU (🔄): Nezuko and Tanjirou are switched, as are the demons and Slayers along with their leaders. Except Inosuke. He's still human, he just isn't allowed to fight. Hashira are Upper Moons, and vice versa. Michikatsu is a four hundred something criminally underpaid dad cursed to never die until the King of Demons(Ubuyashiki Kagaya in this AU) is dead, as punishment for what he did as a demon.

Tsugikuni-Kamado Swap (🌙): Tanjirou and Nezuko (along with a few others) are born in the Sengoku Era and the two siblings are among the first Breath Users. Meanwhile, Yoriichi and Michikatsu (plus others) are born in the Taisho Era, with one twin turned into a demon whilst the other becomes a Slayer to turn his brother back into a human. This AU has two versions:

Moon Princess, Chosen Sunlight: Tanjirou is the original Sun Breather, and Nezuko becomes Upper Moon One. Zenitsu is also the original Thunder Breather in this version.

Ashen Moonlight, Sun Goddess: Nezuko is the original Sun Breather, and Tanjirou becomes Upper Moon One. Zenitsu is dead, and Kanao is wondering where her husband went on his last mission.

Moonlit Butterfly|Kochou-Kamado Swap (🦋): Nezuko and Tanjirou are both Demon Slayer's, with Tanjirou being the (late) Sun Hashira, and Nezuko being the Flower Hashira. Meanwhile, Kanae is trying to return Shinobu to her human self after their family was slaughtered by a demon. Also, Sabito and Makomo are alive in this AU thanks to Tanjirou and Nezuko being at Final Selection.

Scattered Emders and Broken Hearts|Age/Fate Swap (🔥): This one came from TikTok. The Rengoku family took in Mitsuri when she ran away from home due to her being ostracized for her strength and appetite. Not long after, a demon attacks, leaving Mitsuri and Kyojurou the only survivors, the former becoming a demon. The Kamaboko Squad are Hashira, and most of the Hashira are rank and file Slayers with a few others being swapped out with important people in their lives who either died or took a different path in life.

Burning Ribbons|Shabana-Kamado Swap (🎀): Ume leaves work one day to discover that Gyutaro has been turned into a demon. She seeks out a cure, and one of her adversaries is the deadly Upper Moon Six duo. A pair of siblings Ume can't help but compare herself and her own brother to. There are some other swaps (i.e. I made Tengen's wives Hashira while Tengen is their Shinobi husband).

Miyuri Koarashi (❄️): my Demon Slayer OC, the Snow Hashira. I made her a few months ago, and I am still workshopping ideas a little.

Well the lampshade's on fire when the lights go out- This is what i really call a party now- Well, fear makes us really really run around- A-this one's done so where to now? Our eyes light up, we have no shame at all- Well, you all know what i'm talking about- The room lights up, but we're still dancin' around- We're havin' fun, havin' some fun now- Pack up again, head to the next place- Where we'll make the same mistakes- Open one up and let it fall to the ground- Pile out the door when it all runs out

made me think of the aftermath of one offshoot where giyuu gets exiled, something something mother killed & replaced by a spy nin and giyuu found out and killed said nin- tsutako only saw giyuu killing their mother & she chased him out of the clan for treason in a fit of despair/broken heart/trust. Giyuu fled to the Urokodakis for comfort from his pack (Sabito & Makomo), they ended up fleeing the southern valley entirely for saftey & then its adventure time :)

they kinda just do their best to distract themselves from the pain of leaving their home the only place theyve really known (& giyuu from the despair & feeling of betrayal abt his mother & sister- their culture is super close so being outcast is VERY serious). really just exploring their wider world outside the word of visiting merchants and learning about the realities people live, avoiding getting killed as rogue nin, finding other rogue groups, meeting new allies-

tomioka to urokodaki & past sends them to the east side of the mountains in the land of Rain, smthn like the kamados get whiped out and im thinking either they meet the whole kamaboko quartet later & adopt em all at once or they rescue tanjiro & nezuko in the middle of a raid & end up also taking in zenitsu & inosuke, loop back north to the bigger Northern valley in land of Volcanoes and meet kyojuro senjuro mitsuri & obanai, group heads west along the northern shore of the great lake into land if Wind and get muichiro & yuichiro, around this time learning of an odd group searching for a way to harness power from the sun based on an ancient myth of the continent's early history(nod to the hq!! msby team, on their own little quest to chase the sun), head around the great lake and meet gyomei at the middle mountain, head south and meet kanae shinobu & kanao at the flowering edge of the swaths of forest and swaths of grassy plains either way, heading into the plains southeast-ward and meeting sanemi genya & masachika, swinging back southwest-ward to avoid the southern valley and heading into land of Forest where theyre caught in the middle of a war between the uzui and another clan, quickly heading back north with a new quartet to the group at their warning the wars only get worse further south around the borders to land of the Dead & land of Ice

its the widest-reaching branch so far, just a massive adventure around the ramshack continent i stuffed several different anime series into and pieced together with ducttape & spit- land of the Dead & land of Ice have vampires, bloodbenders, shadowbenders, demons, an assassin bloodline, ...gojo, its not very fun down there<3 and i didnt even mention land of Water or land of Sand to the west & north respectively- i imagine their journey already would take a few years though, especially between keeping a bunch of kids in line, happy & healthy, and teaching them how to fight & defend themselves while they dont know where they are
