Winter is coming. 👀🖋️ I’m annoyed with myself TBH because I acquired a ton of beautiful fall themed (and expensive) fountain pens in all the joy-sparking, warm, and cozy colors of the season, and not only did I not showcase *any* of them in my photos or videos, I also didn’t even INK many of them. Instead, I skipped right to Winter and inked 6 new sparkly pens. Whyyyy. 😂

But can you blame me?! I’ve been feeling so eager to dive into soft purple and dusty blue fountain pen inks, shimmers, and fun but neglected specialty ground nibs from my collection. I couldn’t wait anymore! I’m excited to show you what I have inked!

Natsu matsuri! aka Summer festivaaaaal! Decided to go with a different tone than the usual grays and I'm pretty happy with how it came out! Kakimori Toppuri is such a nice blue. I wanted a darker shade for the background so I used Lennon Toolbar's Atmospheric Twilight and used a wash of Toppuri to blend it better with everything. Then I used a very washed out Diamine Pumpkin for the highlights...and got a bit carried away.

Can you believe I almost sold my Kakimori Dip Pen Nibs before actually giving them a real chance? 😅 In this video, I test and compare the Kakimori Brass and Steel dip pen nibs against actual favorites in my collection, and explain why I changed my mind on selling them.

I tried using the kakimori brass nib for a large area of ink wash instead of a brush and it made a very interesting texture so I took a video. cool

Elég szép paletta. :) Vannak közöttük olyanok, amik a minta alapján szinte ugyanolyanok, de az írásmintákban elég eltérőek már, és az is sokat változtat, hogy milyen hegyben vannak (fine / medium).

Már nagyjából tudom, hogy melyiket melyik tollamban szeretem használni. Emellett igyekszem "hűséges maradni" egy toll & tinta párosításhoz egy egész hónapon át.

Plusz az öt dip pen tinta: ezekkel még nem nagyon tudom, hogy mit kezdek majd, mert a kalligráfia amúgy nem az erősségem. El kellene kezdeni rajzolni velük.

New year, new inks!

I’m still struggling with my Kakimori brass nib haha. Also fought with the Dominant Industry bottle and now have ink all over my hands and table cloth 😩 the pearlescent shimmer was really pronounced in my Hobonichi 5mm graph notebook (2nd page), but less so in my Traveler’s Notebook dot grid insert (1st page). Third page was tested my Peter Pauper Celestial Dot Grid Notebook (120 gsm paper).

Favourites have to be “Uri” and “Azuki” though!
