Little guide to Battle spirits's Contract Saga

Hi! Exactly in a month and 8 days, Battle Spirits's BS64 will be avaiable. And while also the western world is Awaiting Battle Spirits Saga BSS01, I think is the case to get a little Recap of what happend during the previous chapter, the contract saga. So...

BS60: Contract Saga Volume 1 – First Partner

After exactly 2 years of knowing nothing on his whereabouts, Finally Dan Bashin, now known as The Wanderer Dan, makes his comeback. We found him in Recris, a spiritual world consisting of countries, regions, forests, kingdoms,Cities and even an empire under the sea, including some card shaped Slates ( highly probably the ones in the first PV). Over this background, Dan meets The dragonpartner Glow, a spirit that wants that aims to be the strongest. With Dan's help to overcome a pinch, Glow offered to establish a partner contract with him, becoming his first partner. Always in this part Bat, Lampo,Stark, Feaniel and Shack joint the group as Contract spirits.

BS61 : Contract Saga Volume 2 – Liberation of God

The group reaches the burning land, meeting The OracleTwentyOnePillars I The Magician, who reveals that Recris was created by Six oracle spirits and the soul slates were created by minor arcana. To save Recris, it's necessary to meet all the oracle spirits that created it. At Glow's resolution to save their world, the magician promise help. However they get attacked in the old tree forest by The PartnerMusha Oboro and The PartnerBug Gataru, along The Grandwalker Tezcatlipoca. After surviving a hard fight, who's become even way Risky due to The OracleTwentyOnePillars XVIII The Moon, Dan and the spirits continue the journey.

BS62: Contract Saga Volume 3 – Rise of Rivals

In the frozen city Riesgraad for information about one of the 21 oracle pillars, Dan and his group meet Kai, a second contractor, who's signed the world destruction contract. He's joined by The Grandwalker Kukulkan, The PartnerWingedDragon Terad and The PartnerLion Raon. A battle between Glow and Raon ensues, while Kukulkan goes on Dan, who manages to reach the contract spirit. The AnnihilationDragonArmor Omega-Dragonis reaches the place, attacking everybody while near to destroy the city. Thanks to The OracleTwentyOnePillars II The High Priestess's powers, The PartnerMachine Stark advents in The AuroraWarrior Knight-Stark, who succeeds to stop Omega- Dragonis and protect the city. As Kai's group retires, the journey continues.

BS63: Contract Saga Volume 4 - Beyond Evolution

Dan and the contract spirits finally summons all the oracle spirits at the center of Recris. However the real deal comes up as the oracle spirits have to resist The OracleTwentyOnePillars XX The Judgment. As suddenly the Judgment's vanguards appear desroying the soul slates, the contract spirits choose to fight the vanguards at every side of the world. At the same time the final battle between Dan and Kai begins. Dan manages to win, thanks to Bladra who advented into The SunBladeDragon Rising-Bladragon. The truth about Recris is revelated. The world is structured in 3 Layers, as the the Otherworld and the God's world are disappearing due to Recris. As the 2 Layers must not intersect, Tezcatlipoca also says that Dan mustn't been summoned in the God's world. The final showdown between the Judgment and the contract spirits, who joined forces with kukulkan begins, but even they aren't match for the oracle spirit. As Dan finally regains his determination, little small Judgments were born. With the last action from Dan with the newborn fragments, as a light Envelopes anything, Recris is saved. But Dan and the Contract spirits have disappeard into the nowhere. At the end of everything, Kai still asks if somebody (?) Will " repeat the same thing again".

And that's it, for now, folks! Now like said before, at may there's gonna be this new saga, Contract:World Chapter 1 , who will feature the contract shrine girl Toa.

I don't know if Dan and the contract spirits will come back in there or not, but i hope and feel that they can and will. Also, it will be good to see Toa interact with Dan and maybe also Kai.

Battle Spirits Mirage PV

Highlights~

So, the trailer begins with the White and the Green symbols melting together and Gallet (wearing a new outfit) traveling dimensions (maybe coming back home after his two years journey in the distant past):

I find both the use of those precise symbols and his outfit very important clues about his real identity or the fact that he will get his original memories back~

Then the trailer shows scenes from what happens both in the past and in the present, with Varte who has become extremely threatening to the whole world and possibly busy in diplomatic relationship with the human faction whose leader appears to be no other than Rein (with Duc at her side, it seems).

Rein is quite serious and wise, she truly reminds of Kajitsu (she makes me think of Leila and Lena too 😍) but she's definitely older and I'm not this sure she retains her memories. The fact that just then the scene of the King of the White World and the Princess of the Green World happens... Mhhhh, maybe it isn't this casual:

I've always thought how did they look originally. Back in Gekiha, when Yuuki told about his and Kajitsu's original past, the shapes of the King and the Princess were theirs and Clothard as well greeted Yuuki by calling him White King and telling him that his appearance hasn't changed since the past. Now their original selves are finally shown and while the King more or less reminds of Yuuki, the Princess has a hairstyle similar to Rein but with Kajitsu's color scheme. They are truly lovely! 💖

Also, what makes me think is that in his journey, Gallet changes his outfit chosing one which is very similar to the King, he duels against both the King and Yuuki (maybe it is the same duel against... His original soul?):

Yuuki here shines just like Dan did in Saga Brave, so I guess he's a spirit. I wonder if his fate in the timeskip between Gekiha and Brave will be addressed. I've always thought how he died... And I always ends up with thinking that he was killed. 🥺

Also, last but not least, Gallet faces both the Otherworld King and his reincarnation as Vizarga, very angry... I wonder if it happens because: 1) the OK killed both the King and the Princess on their wedding day starting the chain of tragical reincarnations and curse; 2) the OK's records must be prevented and Gallet is the only one who could do it.

I can't wait for the end of October! 😭😭😭

Awwww I'm in the middle of the rewatch now!! I just hope English subtitles don't come too late, I want to understand better!! 😭💖

So, Gallet ends up in the White World, after facing the aftermath of Yuuki's death in the past. I still can't figure the link out, but I guess that after Yuuki's death (and considering Gallet's timeline, Zolder's), something happens creating a bond between all of them.

The White King (Shiro no Ou) saved Gallet and he tells him about the Otherworld King's threat and he also tells Gallet of his will of ending conflicts by bringing peace, starting from his wedding with the Green World Princess. In Gekiha, Yuuki explained that his and Kajitsu's souls were engraved with the memories of their original ancestors/incarnations and since they couldn't be wed their souls still wandered time and space searching for each other's.

Here their deaths occurred under Gallet's eyes. I've always wondered how and I'm glad that Mirage answers all the unsolved questions (Yuuki's death, the King and the Princess). Also, they were beautiful and indeed, Yuuki and Kajitsu took their looks after them.

Awwww... The Princess' death was almost identical to Kajitsu's... She died in his arms, just like Kajitsu died in Yuuki's arms (it was touching to hear Kajitsu's voice saying "Yuuki-sama" at the beginning, like she was waiting for him... 🥺💖).

For some reasons I was thinking that Gallet's outfit in Battle Spirits Mirage reminds me of Yuuki's in Gekiha. Yes, it has totally different colors, but I don't think it's a coincidence that he changed his outfit choosing something so similar to Yuuki's. Also, Rein has definitely a veeeeery similar hairstyle to Kajitsu when she had her long hair loose. I can only think that all of these things aren't coincidences and they are hints that Gallet and Rein are going to be confirmed as Yuuki and Kajitsu's reincarnations! 💖 Also, even though they are human and Mauve, I guess that this time their lifespans are finally the same, since Mauves are more similar to humans than Mazoku, so this time surely will be the right one!! 💖💖 And my mind screams "It's time to write a fanfic!!!!" 💖💖 I can't wait for the two of them to meet and to recognize themselves and each other! 💖💖

"You should first understand yourself".

I'm not sure about the meaning of this sentence. Is Vizarga/OK trying to say that Gallet should search for the meaning and the effects of wisdom in Grand Rolo or he's referring to his past life (probably)? Considering that Grand Rolo is just like it was at the time of Gekiha (for what I can see), I guess Gallet didn't came back too much in time...

I had the idea that he went back to the original time when the Otherworld was invaded by the man who became the Otherworld King. After all, in BS Mirage, Yuuki will appear, but I began to think that he could be the White King, aka Yuuki's original self and not yet Momose Yuuki. It would make sense, since we still don't know this much about him. Thinking about, everything in Shonen Gekiha Dan happened because Yuuki and Kajitsu's memories of the past had awaken and they were searching for a way to free themselves from the curse. What we knew is that the two of them (as stated by Yuuki) are both Otherworlders and humans: precisely, in a very distant past, when they were living their original lives, they were the royalty of the Otherworld, being Yuuki the King of the White World and Kajitsu the Princess of the Green World, and their deaths occurred on their wedding day before the rite. From that moment, they were reincarnated once as siblings (fact that was totally censored here in Italy). They referred to the curse because even if they get married somehow, they couldn't stay married for long in the human world (hello inc*st) both for a legal point of view and maybe for the fact that Kajitsu inherited the Mother Core and its removal means death (just like it happened). In Saga Brave, we only know that Yuuki died at some point between Gekiha and Brave, probably because he was killed. After Kajitsu's death, he tried everything in order to restore her name, and he was seen as the representative of the Core Bearers. Anyway, his death is still mysterious and never properly addressed. Gallet being Yuuki means sense considering that Gallet, differently from Zolder in Brave, retains Yuuki's own wisdom and diplomacy. He is determined to seek for justice and freedom by using the diplomacy of duels. Also, in Mirage it's sure that Kajitsu will appear too because of Rein (who has definitely Kajitsu's appeal and vibe, on the contrary of Flora), and I can't wait for the two of them to meet and to get their happy ending, this time! 😭💖
