A FLUFFY PROBLEM — SUGA , KAGS .ᐟ

synopsis. they gave you a cute lil plushy as a present, not expecting it would backfire on them.

wc. 1.6k words | genre. fluffy | cw/tags. no warnings, bear plushy, jealous sugawara + kageyama, final exams, studying, movie night w/ kags, very fluffy stuff, kag's part is longer because yes (｡･∀･)ﾉﾞ

you've got mail ✉ ! hi anon! first of all i just wanna say tysm :D <3 and your request is just too adorable! i just can't not write it! i kinda struggled with writing sugawara since he's not my fav but i tried my best! and uhhmm i just realized i have a terrible problem with overwriting and writing too much unnecessary stuff so yeesh.. (; _ ;)..

♡—KŌSHI SUGAWARA

he suddenly gives you a mysterious gift. you felt the slight weight of it as you swayed the paper bag.

" thank you, sugaaa! this is really nice, but what's the occasion? " you asked, looking at the gray-haired man. he lets out a snicker. " ohh nothingg~, i just wanted to give you something once in a while, you know? " he replies in a monotonous voice.

you gave him a small smile before taking another look at the bag. "so are you gonna open it? or are you just gonna stare at it all day.." he jokes, chuckling at the end of the sentence.

you returned his chuckle, before finally opening the sealed bag. tearing up the strips of adhesive, you eagerly open the bag. your nose caught a whiff of a very familiar scent.

the source of the scent was coming from the bag. you checked out the inside of the bag, and you see a light-gray colored bear was containing it. you gasped with excited eyes, as you immediately took the plushy out, letting the bag fall on the ground.

you faced the bear in front of your face, observing the gray coat of it. the scent of sugawara's cologne lingered around the plushy. so you directly smelled the tummy of the bear, inhaling the fragrant scent. you slowly moved the bear sideways to reveal your smirking face to suga.

" hmm? the smell seems so familiar.. " you commented, pretending to act clueless. you then take another good whiff of the plushy. " i wonder who it could be?? " sugawara gave out a chortle.

" oh yea, i sprayed some of my cologne on it. just in case, if you missed me, you can just smell it, you knoww? " he says, elongating out the last word. " mhhh hmm, sureee.. " you hummed out while you gave the plushy a good squeeze.

𓆝 𓆟 𓆞 𓆝 𓆟𓆝 𓆟 𓆞 𓆝𓆟 𓆞 𓆝 𓆟𓆝

ever since sugawara had given you that scented plushy, you were totally obsessed with it. you had brought it with you to school, the mall, and had traveled with it. the scent of it had slightly faded away, but nonetheless, you still adored the stuffed animal.

the date of your finals was nearing, and you just needed some help with a specific hard subject. fortunately, sugawara was good at the specific topic.

you asked sugawara to tutor you, and he, of course he agrees without hesitation.

he came to your house after school, he had brought some notes of his and the both of you started to study on your desk, that had the plushy displayed

" so to get the answer, you just need to find the LCD and divide it to just add it. did you get it? " he turns to you. he notices how your eyes were set, fixated on the bear plushy.

a heavy sigh leaves his mouth, which draws your attention back to him. startled, you snap your head to him. " ohh uhh.. yea-yea! " you answered in a tone that wasn't quite convincing.

his face softened with a weary expression, his lips pursed as he looked at you. he rests his cheek on his hand. " y/n, i know that tone of yours. you know you can't fool me. " you listened to his words, but you can't help it but have another peek of the plushy.

and he then suddenly cups your face with a hand, facing your head directly to him. " hey, you. i know that plushy is cute an' all, but i'm trying to help you study here, but you're so focused on that plushy. "

a pouty expression appeared on his face, making you feel guilty at the slightest. he hesitates, his lips part with uncertainty as he contemplates on. but with a deep long sigh, he becomes confident to some degree.

" focus on me won't ya? "

♡—KAGEYAMA TOBIO

kageyama had given you a plushy as a toke of his affection. he knew that plushies were your favorite, and he wanted to give you something special to show how much you mean to him.

he was quite nervous giving it to you at first, because he wasn't quite sure you would like it. and to no-ones surprise, you accepted his gift wholeheartedly. he felt relieved after you received his present with a smile on your face. his eyes watched give affection to the plushy, feeling a sense satisfaction to his right choice of gift.

and so, the raven colored plushy had captured your heart entirely. its fur feels so soft at touch, and it's beautifully blue-colored eyes and a cutesy little bear face that screamed cuteness had you keep adoring and giving it every little bit of your attention.

𓆝 𓆟 𓆞 𓆝 𓆟𓆝 𓆟 𓆞 𓆝𓆟 𓆞 𓆝 𓆟𓆝

a planned movie date marathon was made between you two.

he had come over to your house late at night, carrying with him a wide variety of snacks and drinks that he knew you loved. he had carefully chosen each item, knowing that you would appreciate his thoughtfulness, and was excited to spend the night watching movies with you.

and once he set foot into your humble abode, something had caught his attention. and it's that it seems like you had another guest. but it's more of a roommate rather than a guest since the esteemed guest was actually living there.

his eyes peered over to the plushy that was sitting on your couch, right at his spot. a scrunched up expression appeared on his face, while he looked directly into the plastic eyes of the plushy.

to him, the plushy looked alive to him. he felt the bear plushy stared right back at him as he stared at it. it seems like he had started a staring competition with it. his nose only scrunched up further when he glared at it longer.

during that time, you were observing his odd deameanor.

you noticed the scrunched expression on kageyama's face as he carefully placed the snacks and drinks on the table, and you could see that see that his gaze was locked onto something. your eyes then followed kageyama's line of sight, only to realize he was looking right onto the bears face.

being slightly confused, you just shrugged it off that he was just appreciating the thought that you loved his gifts.

finally, after preparing the snacks and arranging the couch to be more comfortable, the movie night had finally started.

the opening sequence of the movie rolled in, the bright light of the tv almost blinding you. you sat beside the bear, which was sitting at kageyama's owned spot. kageyama groans as he gave the plush a disapproval sidelong glance.

and as the movie continued to play, you got into a cozy position. you layed your back on the couch, pulled up the soft blanket, and placed the plushy right up to your chest. you snuggled up to the soft head of the plush while you squeezed its ears from time to time.

as you felt warm and comfortable, kageyama was feeling cold. he glanced at you occasionally, feeling a tinge jealousy that your hands were all over the bear and not his. he sighs, as he hugs himself.

the more you cuddled with the plushy, the colder and kageyama seemed to get. he shot fleeting glances at you, as if he wanted to be held by arms instead of the bear. a soft sigh leaves him as he hugged himself a bit tighter, trying to keep himself warm, but he secretly wished that you would give him your attention and to him instead of the plushy.

but after a few long glances later, he had enough. he needed your attention badly. he then follows his first thoughts, grabbing the tv remote with a slight haste.

" whoa! that look so coo— what the?! " the sudden power off of the tv caught you off guard. your head immediately turned to your raven-haired man, he was already looking at you.

you looked at him with a confused expression. " um tobio?? why did you uh.. do that? " you asked, but he didn't reply. he instead moved closer to you. his hands pushed your thighs to give way for him to on your stomach.

kageyama then cuddles himself to you, finally getting the warmth he has been longing for. but there is one more thing he needs to do.

he lifts his head from your stomach, facing you and then looking at the plushy. he gives the plushy a good long look before taking it, removing it from your side. you look at him with a slight shock.

you were about to speak, but you immediately get cut off by him.

" tsk, why are you always paying so much attention to that plushy? you're always cuddling that damn thing. " he states, his tone being a bit upset.

" oh kag— " he cuts you off once again.

" it's not fair, i'm your boyfriend, and that's just some stuffed toy i gave you! that damn stupid plushy.. " his last words trail off as a sudden heat of embarrassment came to his face.

you were quite at a loss for words. ' so that's why he acted that way! he was jealous '

you began laughing at the situation as the man lying on your stomach got more embarrassed. you could clearly see his ears getting pink!

despite kageyama feeling embarrassed after admitting his envy towards the plush, he is just glad he has finally got your attention and he gets to feel your warmth again.

The words in the stars say: I’ve read this fic so many times. Even with it being 56 chapters and 541,570 words, it’s SO GOOD. The character development Suga goes through with and without Daichi brings so much to talk about. I’m not one for angst but when it hit (don’t worry it’s a happy ending) it made this fic more loveable in my eyes. I loved the side pair content, all my favs were there. IwaOi and MatsuHana side pairs? Yes please. It’s written so well and with the dick jokes, constant amazing karaoke, and dynamic between art student Suga and bartender Daichi, I couldn’t be laughing any harder or know anymore knowledge about alcohol.

I rate this fic 10 aliens out of 10, absolutely worth the read.

I love the tone throughout the story and how Suga’s goal changes overtime. Oh my god. Did I see head over heels Daichi for a revenge looking badass Suga?? Yes I did. I’m not one to spoil, but if you’re looking for something to read where you’ll be shouting “YES!!” and pumping your fists into the air, first of all, me too. Second of all this is your fic! This is a heart warming read full of bittersweet revenge and growth. The details for both main characters should not go unnoticed and please PLEASE if you’ve read this fic, talk to me about it.

When I think of this fic I remember awing like they do in those stupid old sitcoms and laughing at Akaashi’s coworkers with their habit of gambling. I also read the second fic following Kuroo and Terushima, “Need” by ConesofDunshire, and I was not at all disappointed. I adored the side KenHina with their family of cats and DaiSuga as married neighbors.

I knew it was gonna be good when I saw the chapters were named after songs, linked in the notes. This fic orbits Alpha Iwa and Oikawa, who’s supposed to be a Beta. Shoutout to all my BL readers, sir pulled a Hyesung. RIP Oiks. Fortunately for Oikawa, Iwa is there for him whether its bringing curly fries to lure Oikawa out of his room or defending him during his weakest moments. I don’t want to give too much away but even if you aren’t a fan of Omegaverse I would still totally recommend you to read this.

also, i use midnight as like..the middle of the night- not actaully 12AM lol

Tsukishima Kei

you did not need to wake him up at 1AM to get ice-cream

man was already up, having just came off his phone and laying like this 😐 in bed as he either waited for himself to fall asleep or was thinking about an awkward interaction he had earlier that day 

anyway, as soon as you turned to him like ‘tsukki, do you wanna come with me to get ice-cream?’

he was suddenly 😴 fast asleep, fake snores and all

you were stubborn though, so you hopped out of bed up to go get ice-cream by yourself if he was just going to ignore you 

although, once you threw your coat on, tsukishima decided to start questioning your unusual behaviour, ‘why do you want ice-cream? it’s night; can’t you just sleep like a normal person and have ice-cream in the morning?’ 

honestly, tsukishima probably finds your nightly antics more endearing and cute rather than annoying 

he’d never admit it though- 

if you talk to him after midnight, on the outside he always looks displeased but really, he loves talking to you period

whether it is at 5PM or 1AM

you shrugged, without an explanation for your craving, ‘i don’t need to reason my midnight urges to you.’

with that, you turned on your heels to head out the door with the full intention of going to get ice-cream - this wasn’t a game 

tsukishima groaned as he finally deduced that you were being dead serious and not just doing this to irritate him

‘ugh, wait.’ he scoffed, forcing himself out of bed to follow you, ‘we have ice-cream downstairs, dumb-ass. don’t bother going out.’ 

you didn’t spare him a glance, continuing to venture to the front door, ‘yeah, but we don’t have strawberry.’ 

tsukishima glared at you, realising that persuasion would not work in this situation so he’d have to resort to brute force and trickery

‘ah, alright.’ he let out a sigh of defeat, ‘at least give us a hug before you go then.’

you paid no mind to how he referred to himself as plural, which is something he only does when he is lying or guilty as he is talking on behalf of his two faces 

also, you should’ve realised something was up when he actually asked for a hug instead of just expecting you to give him one

obliging, you wrapped him in a hug; allowing him to scoop you up into his arms, throw you over his shoulder and carry you to the kitchen

‘let me go, you whore!’  you squealed, lightly slapping his back as if that’d make him let you go 

tsukishima snickered at how childish you were being, ‘you can’t go out in the middle of the night to get ice-cream. you’ll die.’ 

‘i won’t die!’

‘you definitely will.’

anyway, he ends up making you both a bowl of ice-cream and eating it with you at the kitchen table while watching Spirited Away

and despite the fact he had some too, he’ll tease you about this for..the rest of your life 

like sometimes he’ll just wake you up in the middle of the night (during holidays ofc - he respects your sleep schedule) and whisper in your ear, ‘(y/n), do you wanna come get ice-cream with me?’

Tanaka Ryūnosuke

ik most ppl would think he’d just go with you without a second thought or that he’d be the one asking you to go out for ice-cream but- no- 

well, yes; he wants to 

but when you wake him at 1AM 

(which he doesn’t mind btw bc  sometimes he accidentally wakes you up at like 3AM bc he’s ragin’ on Battlefield oop-)

and you’re all like ‘ryū, wanna go get ice-cream?’ *puppy eyes*

he’s like ‘sure!- but i ain’t got money so- no ❤’ 

then he goes back to sleep 

however, if you say that you’ll pay..he’s already standing with your bags by the door

y’all go out at midnight for ice-cream at least once a week-

and it literally began bc you were watching ASMRs and Mukbangs together at 1AM during a sleepover 

and one person was having some lemon gelato and it looked 👌✨ immaculate

in that moment, you both looked at each other and neither of you had to utter a single word for you both to know that there was a mutual goal in mind; to get ice-cream, ASAP

so yeah ig you didn’t have to wake him up but you did need to awake the desire for ice-cream inside him

needless to say, y’all ran to the nearest ice-cream place 

and you made a race out of it 

(you won, ofc)

AND YOU BOTH SHARED A CUP OF GELATO AND IT WAS SO CUTE ! q(≧▽≦q)

and y’know the trope where you have food on the corner of your lip/chin etc and the person kisses you to get rid of it? 

yeah he tried to do that with the trope in mind but he deadass LICKED you IWFBVBBFRI

he was like ‘omg (y/n), lemme get that for you’ 😋👅

honestly, ig it depends if you are into that kinda stuff but ik some ppl would leave fast af ( ﾟдﾟ)つ Bye

sorry i might have a bit of favouritism going on but i feel like ushijima would be a bigger bitch about it than tsukishima (at first)

but it’s like- solely bc you woke him up y’know?

‘ushijima, wanna go get ice-cream?’

he’s just laying there with his bed-head like :/

silently livid bc you messed up his potential 9 hours of sleep

‘no.’

pester all you want but that is the best you’re getting out of him that night

HOWEVER, the following afternoon (after practise ofc), he took you out for ice-cream 😊

and unlike some would believe (by ‘some’, i mean myself 2 secs ago.) i don’t think he’d be all ‘ice-cream is horrible for your health, (y/n)’ or ‘i can’t believe you’re eating that filth. your body is a temple.’

but that rather he’d just happily eat gelato with you; everything in moderation ig :)

OH AND HE’D PURPOSELLY BUY A DIFFERENT FLAVOUR FROM YOU SO HE COULD BE LIKE

‘(y/n), do you want a bite of mine?’ and give you a spoonful to try like the romance king he is  

Oikawa Tōru

you wouldn’t wake him up bc mf needs his beauty sleep

plus, it was during a sleepover at your house so ofc you didn’t want to wake up your guest 

but he’s a light sleeper so when you’re shuffling through your stuff at 1AM, sneaking around the house to find a jacket (trying to be as quiet as possible so you don’t wake him up); his eyes are open and he’s speculating that sangwoo is near

until he turns around to notice that you’re not laying next to him and he is in fact being spooned by a large pillow (probably a sangwoo body pillow smh)

after that, he hops to his feet and storms through the house in search of you so he can yell at you for ruining his sleep grr

however, once he finds you and realises that you look ready to head out, he feels inclined to firstly ask, ‘where are you going? you know it’s 2AM, right?’ 

you replied by explaining your plan to sneak out for ice-cream and he just stared at you, absolutely bewildered for a few moments

he stood like a statue with that stupid expression on his face for ages so you asked him if he was alright, to which he responded, ‘that’s such a stupid idea.’

‘so, you’re not coming with?’

‘of course i am.’

so you both ended up sitting with your ice-cream cones, in your pyjamas, on a park bench somewhere, admiring the moonlit sky along with the stars adorning it

oh, and that was actually the first time he said ‘i love you.’

Sugawara Kōshi

if feel like suga would be exactly like the guy in the sound/video: confused, tired and extremely reluctant but ofc inevitably he ends up standing outside of a dessert place, hand-in-hand with you

he’d wake up, weary from fatigue and he barely has the strength to argue with you during the day - so how exactly was he supposed to do it in the middle of the night? 

thus, he lugged himself out of bed and threw on a coat but as soon as the cold winter air bit at his nose, he was flooded with the energy and will-power to try convince you stay in with him

(It’s his parental senses) 

‘you’ll catch a cold, darling!’ (yes, he does call you that.) ‘and it’s night too, there’s probably a bunch of creeps out and around!’

at that point, it was just a battle of will

bc you both had each other’s wishes at heart

you wanted him to have peace of mind and he wanted you to have ice-cream

(and he was kinda craving some himself tbh)

so you both decided to stay in, tucking into the half-eaten tubs of Ben & Jerry’s in the fridge 

and after that, neither of you got any sleep bc you both stayed up watching movies and cuddling 🥺

Kageyama Tobio

he was wide awake at 2AM, laying beside you on the bed, practising sets 

so ofc the time wasn’t an issue

but kageyama wasn’t big on sweet treats so when you suggested that y’all should go out for ice-cream, you were shocked - to say the least - when he simply replied 

‘sure’

like why would he oppose? he was already awake. plus, he was kinda craving something sweet tbh

also, he could tell it’d make you happy and he’s whipped tbh

so you took advantage of this indifferency by immediately jolting up and dragging him to your favourite dessert place

the whole time, he acted as usual - it was as if he was just on a regular walk to school

to be honest, if you think he’s gonna confess to you first; you’re wrong

this baby probs doesn’t even realize that he has a crush on you despite the strange sensation he gets in the pit of his stomach

will never notice it ever unless someone pointed out for him 

he does however get frustrated because for some reason, he can’t seem to get you out of his mind and it’s driving him nuts

whenever you’d come around to the gym, he would openly stare at you and is just so fixated by everything you do

cue suga to quietly snuck up behind him and ask, “why do you keep staring at y/n, kageyama?” 

he’s like “huh? oh did i?” 

after an unnecessary confrontation from suga, nishinoya and tanaka, he finally realized why he felt that way to you

thus he spent the whole night planning out a way to confess to you

believe it or not, kags is a whole blabbering mess when it comes to things like love/dating

he kinda finds it troublesome with having to confess but for the love of god, he could not stop thinking about you

so the next day, he approached you while you were alone, “y/n....” 

you raised a brow, waiting for he has to say

“i like you!” he blurted out, startling you at his sudden declaration

once you processed what he said, you smiled widely, “i like you too.”

cues flustered kageyama, freaking out internally when he realizes that his crush also likes him back while you stood there watching him turn red every second

KOZUME KENMA

same as kags, he would never even bother to confess to you in the first place

that is until kuroo keeps teasing him over and over, calling your name whenever you walk, making you glance at kenma

when one day, you and your friend stayed behind for school activities,  she suddenly brought up the topic, “y/n.. who do you think is the most attractive?”

kenma was walking by to fetch his textbooks that he left behind when he heard you and your friend talking

that subject piqued his interest thus he hid in order to listen to yall’s conversation

now, kenma doesn’t like meddling in other people’s business but when it comes to you and who you find attractive, he is curious

you hummed, “one of the guys on the volleyball team is cute..” you trailed off, hoping your friend didn’t make you say his name aloud

alas, you knew she was gonna ask anyways, “who is it?” 

“is it kuroo?! the captain?” she exclaimed with a smug face

kenma was about to walk away as he sulks in his own pity

but you quickly replied, “no!” 

sighing, “it’s kenma.. the setter.” 

your friend teased at your blushing expression, “so you like pudding head huh? well he seems kinda hard to talk to but go for it if you want ~”

at that point, kenma had already made up his mind to confess to you 

the next day, he met you in your classroom whereas your peers started leaving one by one

you ignored the loud thumping of your heartbeat, “how can i help you, kozume-san?”

“i like you, y’n.” he directly tells you, noticing the way your cheeks reddened 

“i- uh.. i like you too.” 

kenma smiled at you as he offers to walk you back home, feeling content

now, oikawa is built different

thus he finds no problem in confessing to you

however he won’t admit that you make him really nervous

hence why he needed to plan out how he wants to confess to you first

you were never really interested in him, preferring to do your own thing 

so when he saw you for the first time, instead of gawking at him like they usually do, you instead walk past by like he wasn’t even there

that made him took a liking onto you

would constantly talk about you to iwaizumi 

“iwa-chan ~ why doesn’t y/n-chan look at me? am i not handsome enough for them?” he whines, making iwaizumi annoyed about his continuos rant about you

iwaizumi eventually snapped, “shut up shittykawa! why don’t you just ask them out like a normal person do?!” 

he thought of ways to approach you during the night, observing how you always seem uninterested whenever he smiles at you

he’s determined to let you know about his feelings

although.. he kept delaying about confessing to you due to being busy with volleyball

until he saw you laughing happily with your classmate, making him feel a tad jealous

he went up to you and confidently asked out, “y/n! meet me in front of the gym after school okay?” 

you were confused but before you could protest, he waved a goodbye and exited the room

leaving you with no choice but to meet up with him

once you got there, you saw him shuffling around nervously

you’ve never seen oikawa anxious so it was a sight to see him all fidgety 

perks up when he gazes at you “ah! y/n, you came!”

“well what do you want, oikawa-san?”

he sheepishly rubbed the nape of his neck, “i like you y/n-chan and i couldn’t contain these feelings anymore! that’s why i told you to meet me here.” 

you stared at him in disbelief, the guy that you’ve been crushing on is admitting to you that he likes you

you snapped out of your thoughts, “good thing for you that i like you too.”

oikawa grinned widely, it made your heart skipped a beat

“let’s go on a date then, y/n-chan ~” as he excitedly looks at you with so much adoration in his eyes

koushi sugawara

- pls he’d make it so heartfelt and meaningful HHH I LOVE HIM~ - he’d want to make you feel how much he loved you, like actually feel it in your heart - i feel like he’d tell a FEW people, probably only get daichi to help AHAHAH - bruh asahi would probably have a mental breakdown and tanaka would snitch💔💔 - but he’d have an idea of what you both wanted i think, you wouldve spoken it over before defos - he’d want it to not be that public, just the two of you - so it’d be at like a hiking trail you both go on or something, a place that means loads to both of you but isn’t there for the world to see - and then...…came the day - he knew how much you picked up on little details so he had to be sneak sneak ten thousand™ - “hey, wanna go out on that one walk up *insert name of place idk*? ok ok ok i’ll get ur coat sugar” - EEEEEEEEEEE - he was trying his absolute best to keep it together - he knew you’d most likely say yes, so he wasn’t TOO scared, but it was still SCARY LIKE- - and then u got to the place he wanted to propose - it was this place where you always stopped, where there was a little bench (with your initials STILL carved into it from all those years ago) and it looked out over a nice view - “ooh, can we stop here again!” “u-huh i was actually gonna ask-” - bro he almost forgot the speech daichi read over to him about 20 times - but HE DID IT WOOOO - he didn’t want to make a MASSIVE deal out of it, the wedding would be more important to him but he still wanted to make you know how much he adored you - speech included lots of memories dating even back to before hed even SPOKEN to you i stg this man - AND U SAID YES!!! u have no choice. u did.

- i feel like he’d be kINDA similar to suga?? - a little less caring - he���d never actually pictured himself getting married tbf- - he never thought he’d actually find the right person so he just....gave up idk - BUT THEN YOU CAME INTO HIS LIFE- - even with you he hadn’t really thought about marriage, he was just focused on having fun with you, but then ushijima was like ‘...so, tendou. when is the wedding commencing between you and y/n.” and he just- - it was actually when they were sitting there he started to plan it - ushijima would SEEM like the worst person to go to, but he was actually quite good at this stuff - so in about 2 hours sat at the back door of tendou’s work, they had sketched out a sort of plan on the back of a spare napkin - there was one main thing he knew he wanted to talk about - how you always stuck by him, no matter what he did - he thought he’d seriously fucked up, and you would be back at his door the next day, smiling and chattering about this new café you heard opened down the road - god, he was terrified to even mention paris to you, but you were so up for the idea, it took him by shock - he didn’t take you for granted - so for once, he wanted to make you feel loved - they couldn’t think of a place to take you for ages, but then it hit them - you and tendou always went to wakatoshi’s games, ever since high school you both always made the commute if you had the time - and ushijima had a game coming up in two weeks...…. - when he mentioned it OFC U WERE DOWN PLS, you loved going back to japan - like ofc france was incredible but......... it was just lovely to see everyone again ;-; - since youd been there so much, you basically just got to stand right at the side of the court AHAHAH - so they won the game. obviously. its ushi and kags we’re talking abt here. are you kidding. then tendou started acting weird, which made u hella sus - it was the first time in what felt like years you’d seen him so...nervy - he kept fumbling over his words, you had to yell at him to speak up - but eventually he did it - he spoke abt how much you meant to him, how you made him more comfortable in his own body, how you stuck by him through everything - AND U SAID YES. AGAIN, U HAVE NO CHOICE. - and yes ushi and kags started cheering and the news outlets put u on the news i dont make the rules ok

kenma kozume

- ok mans is TERRIFIED - he’d quite genuinely never thought about marriage, throughout his years with you by his side it just...never crossed his mind - but it was when you were lying in bed one night, his arm dangled over you as you both drifted in and out of sleep - and it just hit him - why the fuck were you both still like this? - marriage was something you always expressed a love for, when kuroo got married you were basically in a trance the whole time - how was he so unaware? - people described kuroo’s proposal as pretty much perfect, he’d always been good at reading his partner, so he just used that knowledge to make something he knew they’d like - so, to kenma’s extreme distaste, he went to kuroo - oh my god kuroo fucking c r i e d - kenma was finally ‘growing up’ - so after about an hour of kuroo sobbing, they finally got down to business - after lots of.. lets say elaborate ideas from kuroo, and lots of no's from kenma, they finally came to a sort of compromise - since you and kuroo worked in the same department, he would text you on saturday simply asking if you wanted to catch coffee and talk about that one assignment - obviously, you said yes - not thinking anything of it, you just pulled on a jumper and jeans AHAH- - then you notice,,,why tf is he taking u to a beach at 7pm in march???? - #serialkillerkurooheadcanons - but u see kenma and ur like... wtf have u gotten yourself into- - have they been possessed?? who knowz - and then u get BLINDFOLDED LIKE WHAT - but then u snap back down to earth like why would they kidnap u- - as kuroo takes it off, kenma’s quite literally shaking - poor babie - he never really knew how to explain his thoughts properly, so the speech wasn’t anything extremely dramatic and/or romantic - but he did in a way tell you how much you meant to him - he spoke abt how you boost his confidence, have always been there whenever he needed you, and how you seem to always understand him when he’s being at his most blunt - therefore he thinks you’re his soulmate - PLSPLSPL IM CRYING

osamu miya

- i think he always knew he wanted to marry you - atsumu always embarassed him about it- - it got to the point you didn’t actually think he’d propose, you would just wake up one day and a wedding dress would be on the door - but it got to the point where tsumu was mentioning it significantly more when you went over for dinner - mama miya was always telling you how happy she was that samu picked you - even your own parents were being oddly warmer towards samu, whenever they phoned they asked how he was, etc etc - so you knew something was up - samu was always really polite to your parents, asked their permission before he even took you out on a date - ironic because you lived together but still- - so turned out, he actually mentioned proposing to you to them - they adored him for gods sake so of course they said yes - then tsumu thought he was acting weird, so he told his side - jesus christ they freaked out - his parents were always nervous about atsumu, who slept with random people on the weekends, and hadn’t been in a proper relationship since middle school - you were basically their god send AHAHA - so it was a massive deal when he wanted to marry you - it would appear that he didn’t really care, but in honesty it meant the wholeass world to him - like suga, he’d go for a location that meant a lot to both of you - christmas was a huge deal for both your families, they both came together and you had an incredible time - and last year some of the jackals came over, which was just hilarious - so what better time than christmas with your loved ones around you??? - it started off like a normal christmas, you had an incredible dinner ( cooked by none other than osamu ((with atsumu and bokuto attempting to sabotage it but just burning their hands on the pot)) ) then all played some games - but it was when you were all watching the basic christmas tv programmes when the atmosphere... changed - everyone was looking at you and samu, even sakusa looked excited - it was when his father muted the tv, and samu took your hand, your heart was basically beating out your chest. - he spoke about how he felt like, for the entirety you’d been together for, every day he seemed to fall more in love with you. you were like his rock, when things were even a bit off he could just come to you and you’d automatically make him happier even just by looking at you - bruh bokuto and hinata were sobbing in the corner

tooru oikawa

- surprising, but he never thought about marriage - he just kind of assumed he’d be one of those people that would be in a relationship for like a week then just.. move on to another person idk - that was until he ran into you - everyone, even his own parents, said he was a different person when he started dating you - it was ironic, you were quite similar to him - yet you made him rethink his fucking morals  - it was sappy asf - ANYWAY BACK TO THE TOPIC AT HAND - he took this proposal really seriously, he wanted it to be the best moment of your whole life - until the wedding ofc ofc - since you’d basically changed him as a person, he wanted this to just show his appreciation for everything you’d ever done for him - he wanted you to feel his love - and so he set about preparing a good proposal - he’d be like osamu, and definitely ask your parents first - your parents loved him anyway, they thought he was the best thing that’d happened to you for a long while - he basically knew what he wanted to do - nothing too public, but nothing too quiet - whats the point of proposing if some people dont see am i right??? - sometimes when you both either a) needed a break or b) you both had a period of time where you were free, you both just booked an impromptu holiday AHAHHA - #richkidtingz - so obvs he had to do it on one of them... it was ur thing after all?? - it was when you walked in the door, face red, and flopped down on the sofa next to him, he grasped the opportunity - “..got any spare holidays from work?” - you quickly went on a travel agent website and booked a three day holiday to brazil, leaving the next morning - it was one of your favourite places to just escape to, so it made sense for him to propose there tbf - it was as you both woke up the first morning there, still sleepy from the night before, you grinned at eachother. - “hey.. get ready quick, i wanna do something.” “wHAT-” - he didn’t actually know where to do it, he just called a taxi and asked for your favourite high street HAHAH - after about an hour of browsing around shops, your hand never out of his, you finally asked ‘what did you want to do?’ - his breathing almost stopped i stg, he didn’t realise how scared he was - but then... HE DID IT POGGERS - he stuck to what he knew he wanted to speak about, making you sob in the process ofc - and even all the locals congratulated you!!!

Oikawa

For the first time in a while, Oikawa’s been missing a few sets, and even if it was only a small amount, it had really been playing on his mind

He’d asked you to help him practice by hitting a couple of his sets

Just to help him get back into the swing of things

But he kept thinking over and over again about those few he’d overshot before, and it was affecting how he practised as well

You passed the ball to him and began your run-up to take the shot, while he tried hard to get in the position to set the ball

After a half-second of hesitation, he set the ball up for you, and to his dismay, he’d thrown it way higher than he was supposed to. He winced in disappointment.

But before he knew it, he saw you speed past him up to the net and jump, higher than he’s ever seen you jump before, and spike the ball down 

He stood in shock, a crazed smirk forming on his lips as he watched you land. It was then he knew he was really in love.

Akaashi

Bokuto had been missing a lot of hit sets lately and it had been bothering him more than usual

So while Bokuto had left to compose himself, Akaashi asked you to practice with him to try and fix what he’d been doing wrong

The first few sets you had been able to spike perfectly

Akaashi had begun to think that maybe he had just been overreacting

But then, as he heard Bokuto open the door once again, he became distracted for a moment and set the ball up way too high

Before he could apologise, he saw you rush past him and jump, miraculously reaching the ball and spiking it down.

As you fell, he just watched you in amazement a small smile gracing his face. 

Your spike encouraged him to practice for longer, and you and Bokuto both hit his sets one after another for the next couple hours.

Kenma

Kenma really wasn’t feeling up to practice that day but Kuroo made him at least practice with you

You really wanted to practice your spikes with him because it wasn't very often you two got to play as a pair

To your disappointment, he wasn't overly into it at that time

Normally he would have been quite happy to but he just seemed off

His sets were okay, but nothing too special and you wanted to test your limits a little further

“Hey, could you set the next one a tiny bit higher please, babe?”

He agreed and lined up a higher set for you, but because he wasn't concentrating, he messed up and set it really high.

This was enough to bring his attention back to what was happening, as he caught a glimpse of you rushing past him as you leapt as high as you could for the ball and spiked it

“S-sorry for that set, but... I think I’m ready to do this seriously now”, he said, with the same look he has when he plays against Hinata.

Kageyama

This was during the time in the training camp when Kags was really off his game

He was practising setting to a line of 6 water bottles and you had asked him if you could help instead

You thought it might be easier to visualise where to set to if there was an actual spiker there.

He agreed to let you help and you went down the line of water bottles, trying to hit his spikes at every one

You couldn’t hit a single one of them because they were either too far or too short

Out of frustration, Kageyama accidentally set the last ball directly over the bottle, but way too high

Before he could curse himself out, you had already jumped to the peak height of the ball and smashed it down

Kags stared at you in shock before running over to you for a high five. He’d finally found someone other than Hinata to hit is crazy sets

Sugawara

Suga had really been feeling the pressure of being on the sidelines lately

So he’d been practising his sets non stop in order to catch up to Kageyama

It pained you to watch him so you offered to help him by hitting his sets

Although you were able to hit most of his sets, you could see his mood dropping with every missed one

You were determined not to miss another

The next set he threw was much higher than it should have been and you saw him wince out of the corner of your eye

“Sorry about that one-”

Before he could finish, you ran up to the net and jumped as high as you possibly could and hit his set perfectly

He stared in shock for a moment before rushing to hug you. The fact that you were able to hit that set gave him hope.

What other sports do you think our HQ! Friends would be be really good at if they didn’t do volleyball?

Hmm, this is a hard question... because I can’t imagine these guys doing anything but volleyball :P I thought of just making this to a hobby au instead of sports au, but I will answer your ask. Also, my ask box is empty now, so just send in questions if you want to :D

Daichi: He strikes me as a person that could easily go into power lifting and killing it there. I think people would be a little scared of him since he get so big when he is building muscles, but he is really just a teddy bear that sometimes yells at his team fro mistreating the equipment. 

Sugawara: He is feral, so he needs a feral sport. So I think he would go into ballet or gymnastics, I can’t choose between the two of them. But both sports requires a lot of work and energy, something Suga radiates and he would hit his teammates if they ever did something dangerous. I think it would suit him.  

Asahi: I feel like he would make a great basket ball player. He has the height and the muscles on his side. He can also get really intense when it matters the most. He would still be mistaken for an adult or someone that sells drugs on the street. Poor Asahi...

Nishinoya: Skateboard and other extreme sports like snowboarding. He would try the sickest tricks and sometimes get injured- Doesn’t stop him tho...

Tanaka: I get break dancing vibes fro him. He totally has the energy and likes to pull of stunt to impress others. 

Ennoshita: Swimmer. He goes into competitive swimming, but honestly, if he could just float around in pool all day, he would be happy. His specialty would be breaststroke and his least favourite butterfly.

Kinoshita: Cross fit. But he be one of the shy dudes that wont really stand out until he does something like those pull ups and people would be amazed that he could do so. And then he got and hides in the crowd after that. 

Narita: Tennis. He likes two VS two the best and got into it becuse his mother did so. He does enjoy playing one vs one too, but it can be  hard being all alone on the court. It feels great when he has another one there to back him up. 

Kageyama: This is hard, since Kags literally fell in love with volleyball in the crib. I think kick boxing would be an great outlet for him. Since it would require him to calculate the opponent moves and then adjust himself to that so it would be stimulating for him. He be the King of the ring then. 

Hinata: In the first episode/manga issue, Hinata has a football on his bike, so I think he would be a football player. If he actually did football up until middle school and thought some if it, it would explain his stamina and his jumping abilities and why he was so good at those before he started volleyball in Karasuno. 

Tsukishima: I can see him going into some martial arts classes like take-won-do  or karate or even judo. He as the brain fro it and his tall figure would make it easy for him to get the overhand on his opponent even when they would be physically stronger than him. 

Yamaguchi: Badeball. I know he said that the scary guys were in other clubs like baseball, but in this au, they aren't. So baseball would be his choice. He would become a pinch hitter (shock!) and be really got at that after a few years of playing. And he would eventually become the captain.

Kiyoko: She would continue being an athlete and jumping over hurdles. I also feel like she would be great at high jumping without a pole. 

Yachi: This one was the hardest. Yachi is a creative person but also really careful with her steps, so i think she would become a rhythmic gymnastic that specifies in those ribbon dances. She likes that the most.

My Haikyuu Thoughts

I started the manga 23/6/14 largely because there was a void left by me falling out of HP which RL and PJO wasn’t filling. I saw Hinata art on viria’s tumblr and was, ‘oh, who he?’  I think I watched a bit of the anime but had not thought much of it ???

So there was this kid who was irritatingly enthusiastic and embarrassingly bad at volleyball and it was all the cringe making stuff I hate because I’m not into vicarious humiliation, but as I read on, and he hit that perfect shot and yelled ‘ALL RIIIIIGHT!’ I was almost hooked.

Then he appeared and you know who I mean. It wasn’t the appearance at the middle school match but turning up at the gym, realising his place was now under threat, but going out of his way to make sure the two idiots bonded on court.

I was intrigued and more than a little koo-koo  over Suga, but still not absolutely hooked. The point where I knew this was not only my thing but a story which was going to reel me in was the Neighbourhood match. The drama of the Asahi/Suga/Nishinoya dynamic was one thing. Asahi calling for the toss still sends shivers up and down my spine and yet ... what hooked me was the adults leaving the match, their conversation as they went back to their normal lives They laughed with fondness and nostalgia about the drama of HS volleyball and   as an adult reading that, it suddenly transcended the kids/teen lit I’d thought it would be (nothing wrong with that -I often prefer this genre because books written for my demographic I find samey and overly romance or abuse based) because we had normal people like me who’d left their HS dreams in the gym (or the drama studio for me) but were happy(ish) in their everyday lives and enthusiastic about volleyball as a hobby. When Shimada put himself out to help Yamaguchi. When Saeko put herself out to get the idiots to Tokyo, it felt like they were falling for these kids and this team like me.

Reel back a bit. Hq had been going for two years when I jumped in. I binge read everything in two days, finishing at 112 (I think). Back in the day, my friend, we were relying on fan translations. There was no official site, and the translators did it all for love,  which was wonderful but there was a lot of debate about reading for free and waiting for the translation could be tortuous. I wanted to support Furudate but couldn’t buy the physical copies. It was suggested at one point that Eng speaking fans shouldn’t be a part of the fandom  - not by anyone remotely official, you understand -  but that was the state of things in 2014. I bought official merch instead and watched the anime while I waited for 113 to drop.

So forward to 117. If you ever want to know why I still catch my breath and laugh a little at the Daichi Dead moment it’s because we all had to wait for what seemed like twenty years to find out what the high heck was wrong with him. I genuinely thought he’d wrecked his shoulder and was distraught because there was no way they’d win everything with the Captain out!

(Of course I had no real idea about Ennoshita stepping up to the plate, but that’s another story) The discovery it was a tooth had me SCREECHING! So relieved. I yelled to one of my first hq friends (who’s now deactivated) and then casually went to France with friends -hahaha.

I’ve done complete 180s on so many characters now that it’s safe to say I never trust the initial narrative Kags, Tsukki, Yams (come on, he was Tsukki’s mate giggling in corners over Hinata’s ineptitude. It was only when he saw what Hinata could do he stopped being a sock puppet).  

 The biggest turn around was on Oikawa who I hated to the point where I threw things at my laptop when he appeared. It wasn’t so much him as everyone going ka-ka over him which pissed off my withered adult heart. What changed was forcing myself to write him for an IwaOi week. I reread/rewatched his story and through Hajime’s eyes I began to appreciate him. I wrote Philos as an Achilles/Patroclus reincarnation type fic and that led on and on. And this is what Furudate does so well. Gives you a ‘villain’ then adds the backstory so they’re a hero.

Disliked Tendou, too but his Farewell My Paradise, his acceptance of defeat and the way he was such a good sport about it, made me gasp. And I love love love his new career.

It’s the appreciation of amazing play by the opposition which made me fall hard for Inarizaki and Atsumu. (Look at him here! Punt him out the f*cking window!) I’d learnt not to automatically hate anyone, so I reserved judgment. Moment I decided I liked him? Setting for Kags.

Moment I decided I loved him - getting laughed at by Osamu.

Before this turns into an Atsumu appreciation thread, let me tell you about the characters I was indifferent to but then warmed towards. The main one was because one of my earliest hq friends (yes, you Megan) likes him and through her eyes I started to appreciate the hngg that is Konoha Akinori 

When I first started reading hq, I did some searches on tumblr and came across quite explicit Kuroken fanart, so I was understandably nervous meeting those Nekoma boys.   Although I’m still ultra fond of the kurokens I wrote, hindsight is a dreadful thing when you see how off your assumptions and hcs were. But in retrospect I don’t think anyone envisaged quite how dorky and shy Kuroo had been as a boy. The error I laugh over the most is somehow transplanting Yaku’s personality into Kai and vice versa, but that’s what happens when you write before canon is done. But I wouldn’t have it any other way. Could I have held off writing for six years - nyope. Not a chance. Watching the story unfold, week after week, year after year has honestly been the happiest part of my life. Is that sad? Is it melodramatic? 

Perhaps. But it has brought me so much apart from a fantastic story. Found friends. A shelter from when real life’s shit. And so many laughs. I still on occasion burst out laughing in the street when I think about Hinata forgetting to spike, or a daft hc shared on twitter. Still sigh a little over the ppl who said they’d leave when their team lost. Remember the time I was warned not to celebrate the Crows winning because it would upset the Seijou fans. I restricted myself to a brief yay then deleted. All nonsense, because most of the Seijou fans I was friendly with accepted the narrative with a bit of wistfulness and looked forward to the next chapter. And for those who wept that Oikawa ‘deserved to win’ they received their own message from Tooru that his ‘worthless pride�� meant something and he was still a winner! 

Oikawa Tooru’s journey perfectly illustrated the idea that your life doesn’t end at High School, that your path is never fixed, and you’re not only made of your achievements but perhaps more so by the doubts and failures. We saw that more recently with the strongest player    Ushijima Wakatoshi whose recent backstory with Iwaizumi has at last made me warm to him. (Iwa-chan has this effect!) 

 There are so many stories to relate to. So many moments. Yachi and Suga overthinking. Kiyoko finding something else she was passionate about. Asahi returning. 

You all know I write and some of you know I’m an amateur actor - both of these rely on a certain amount of internal motivation but also external validation. What if the story flops? What if I dry on stage? ‘What if’ can become a never-ending mantra. So when Hirugami’s story appeared, where despite being amazing at volleyball it was making him miserable, until Hoshiumi suggested he could quit and that freed him - it sang to me.  I’ve been through ups and downs with writing, and much as I love acting it can takeover especially the worry that you’ll fuck up. I know I won’t set the world alight and that used to ‘Concern’ me, but partly thanks to this story and also my hq tl, I’ve realised it’s  unimportant.

If I fuck up on stage, I might throw off other people, but no one will die. If no one reads my fic, I won’t die. If I never write another fic ... no one will die except for the fictional characters and my headcanons. And even then they’re still alive in my head.

And look, I have so many ppl to thank who’ve made this journey with me and supported me all the way, but I’m too scared of missing people out and in a way everyone has helped. But none more than the creator. So Thank you Furudate and Haikyuu for everything.

Oh my god anon bean, there are A LOT of spikes in Haikyuu...really...a lot. For sure I’ll miss some of them and I’m going just with my memory here so if I forgot something really iconic, please let me know. 

1. The Kagehina “new quick” spike. I’ve already said in the kagehina top 5 that I adore this spike in particular because to me it’s the moment Hinata and Kegeyama fell in love with each other...again. After three weeks without talking, a week of training camp without acknowledging each other but at the same time training their asses out just to be better for the other...we have this majestic spike. It was really, really beautiful. Plus the moment where Kags hears Hinata’s voice in his head is just...wow. Soulmate shit right there. 

2. “Pick yourself back up, ace!”, or the spike that got Bokuto out of the emo mode. This one is frankly breathtaking. From the set up, to the support of all the Fukurodani members, to the ear-splitting sound it makes, to Bokuto’s scream and his expression right after, to Akaashi’s petty smirk...it’s just...ICONIC.

3. The iwaoi last spike. And there goes my heart. Of course this is one of my top 5 Oikawa moments, probably the most majestic toss he’s ever made, followed by a beautiful spike by our beloved Iwa-chan. This is a repetition of the classic “when cornered, Oikawa-san will always toss to Iwaizumi”, and so he did. One last time. I’ll forever be sad that they didn’t score...but, after all, it couldn’t have gone a whole lot different.

4. The spike that ended the Karasuno vs Shiratorizawa match. I watched this scene again for the first time now and...I cried. I’m here now, writing and sobbing because I remembered it was epic but now it left me breathless. It’s not only the spike itself (honestly dudes, it’s the last point OF COURSE Kags would have set it to Hinata...just like Oikawa did to Iwa), but their expressions after it tore my heart out of my chest and put it directly in the blender. They were...so shocked, so tired, so happy they were almost desperate. They deserved it so much :’) 

5. The spike that gave Asahi his confidence back. As I already said here and here, I’m incredibly fond of this scene. The build up to the spike cut a hole through my heart, from Noya’s choked-by-tears voice yelling, to Suga’s face, to everyone’s reaction to it...this scene alone is what makes episode 9 of season 1 a true masterpiece. Like my friend Steph said when she first saw it “in volleyball we don’t say I love you, we say: SUGAAAAA ONE MORE, and I think that’s beautiful”.

Tsukishima x Yamaguchi + Hq!! Ships mess

[this was supposed to be posted past year but I procrastinate and just now it is coming out]

Me and @asexuallyaroused​ (Mostly them lmao I am not really creative) were talking about Tsukiyama in canon (Even if it is not, we talked a lot about Tsukkiyama and it is so nice and we wanted to share. We laughed a lot,quality content. )

Welp, here we go on this wild adventure.

Twelve years old. Two awkward and tall twelve years old boys, confessing to each other. Probably during their weekly sleepover, and Yamaguchi probably stuttered during his confession and Tsukishima did that “Pathetic” thing and finished off what Yamaguchi was saying because he knew what he was saying already and when Yams got all embarassed Tsuki grabbed him and cuddled him the entire night. And they probably didn’t kiss at that time, only when they got older, like how we see them in the anime or a little before the actual bfs.  Mostly because Yamaguchi got sort of nervous whenever he thought about it and because whenever he wanted Tsukishima looked so disinterested and looked happier just to hold his hand so Yamaguchi was just like “If he doesn’t want to kiss me then I’m fine with this”

So he forgets about it and they’re happy for months until probably during another sleepover (which was just more cuddling in Tsuki’s room) Yamaguchi is leaving the next morning. And then they’re at the front doorhand as Yamaguchi turns around to say bye and “Thanks for having me” Tsukki leans down and kisses him and slams the fucking door, and he waits until he hears a  "wh.huuhhh...WHAAAAAAAAAT" he has no idea what he did

And his face goes completely red and he falls on the floor and waits until he hears Yamaguchi leave and then he just goes outside and screams because “WHAT THE FUCK DID I JUST DO ”

So the next day, after the 'kiss' (if Tsuki can even say that) he refuses to even look at Yamaguchi in the face because he's so embarrassed by it. And it gets to the point where Tsukishima is pretty much ignoring him so when they get their alone time (probably during lunch) Yamaguchi confronts Tsuki about it, but Tsukishima denies it straight out and this only pisses Yams off more, so after he gets no response he grabs Tsuki by the collar and asks again (louder and more in his face this time)  but BECAUSE of how close they are in that moment Yamaguchi notices how Tsuki's eyes flicker down to his lips during this and it all clicks, so while they're already in that position he kisses him and goes "So that was all, Tsuki?" and THIS EMBARRASSES TSUKI MORE OF COURSE.... so he reverts to his tsundere mode and goes "Don't call me Tsuki..." and while they're walking back hand in hand Yams just starts singing "TSUKIIII" really loudly while Tsukishima is fixing his collar and hiding his reddening face

Kei’s brother would be so chill about it. Akiteru would be like “Oh that’s nice! You can bring your boyfriend to eat dinner/lunch here! ”

And he probably embarasses Yamaguchi every time he came around omg whenever he sees Tsukishima and Yamaguchi go into Tsukki’s room after dinner: “Don’t do something IIIII wouldn’t do~~~” “NII-CHAN SHUT THE FUCK UP”. Akiteru would also be like,to Tsuki or Yams: “How was the sex?”

And during the breakfast the next day “Do you guys know where I can buy earplugs?” “um no, why do you need earplugs” “just to block the noise out - it gets REALLY loud at night - not that you two don't know about it” “NII CHAN I SWEAR TO GOD” and Yamaguchi is just looking down quietly oR  YAMAGUCHI PULLING HIS ANGRY TOL BOYFRIEND BACK FROM STRANGLING HIS BROTHER ACROSS THE TABLE

AND AKI IS JUST LAUGHING TO HIMSELF  “HAHA I DID GOOD” “SHUT UP U DID SHIT NII CHAN”

[tol babies blushing hard and the telephone pole is trying to reach his brother while trying not to hurt yams, bc he knows yamaguchi is leaning across his back grabbing his arms like ‘’let it go tsukki you KNOW he’s joking]

"I DON'T CARE TADASHI I'M STILL GONNA PUNCH HIM IN THE FUCKIN FACE" AND THEN IT GOES ALL SILENT AND AKI JUST COVERS HIS MOUTH SO HE DOESN'T LAUGH AND GOES "did... did you just call him tadashi?"

Tsuki: "...excuse me."

He just leaves the table and goes out the front door and it goes quiet between Aki and Yama, then they HEAR THE FUCKIN BANSHEE SCREAMS

BECAUSE THAT'S ALL TSUKI DOES WHEN HE FUCKS UP

He accidentally called his bf Tadashi so ofc he’s going to scream. Aki bursts out laughing. Yamaguchi just sighs. “What family had I gotten myself into”. Aki is wondering why his brother is like that, Yamaguchi is regretting his life choices.

Then Tsuki comes back to the table completely calm and they continue eating breakfast. Aki has tears streaming down his face while Yamaguchi is trying not to laugh  thistimeyourenottheonesassing

Tsukishima is tyring hard to breathe properly but his face is completely red

"This isn’t cool" He makes sure to call the bf  "Yamaguchi can you pass the milk"  "Sure thing Kei"

AKI DIES YAMAGUCHI SMILES TSUKISHIMA FALLS OFF HIS CHAIR C H A O S THIS ISN'T C O O L TSUKKI

So they’ve been dating for 4 years now and introducing each other as ‘’my boyfriend Tsukki/Yamaguchi’’ but that’s only when someone asks and this is volleyball and everyone’s busy *cue volleyballs hitting the ground in the tune of crazy in love* and no one really notices their couple-y things,they just chalk it up as childhood best friends until one day they see Tsukishima and Yamaguchi walking in the gym hand in hand (mama suga suspects a little and maybe Ukai too, but they don’t say anything, I mean, how do you ask the two first years). So from now on everyone’s seen it already and suspects something EXCEPT FOR KAGS AND HINATA BC THEY ARE WAY TOO DENSE, they’re just ???

When Suga and Daichi notices them walking hand in hand and they go ‘’u go ask them’’ ‘’NO U’’, THAT’S WHEN HINATA QUESTIONS ‘’ASK THEM WHAT?’’ SO SUGA JUST TAKES THE OPORTUNITY SMILING AND ‘’HEY HINATA do you mind doing me a favour’’ ‘’YES! NO!’’ (bc it’s fucking hinata) ‘’can you ask Tsukishima and Yamaguchi how long they’ve been dating’’ and that’s when small shouyou does that silly crow noise ‘’HUUWAAAAHAAHHH???? THEY’RE DATING? SINCE WHEEEENNNN’’ AND HES PRACTICALLY CRYING SO KAGS JUST shrugs and goes ‘’I’ll ask’’ except he chickens out because ‘’EW AS IF I’M TALKING TO HIM’’

SO TANAKA AND NOYA DO IT INSTEAD. DIRECT AND STRAIGHT.

When Yamaguchi goes to change,noya screams ‘’HEY GLASSES YOU AND YAMAGUCHI R PRETTY CLOSE HUH?’’. Tsukishima does that eyebrow thing and goes ‘’what of it?’’. Tanaka: ‘’WELLLLLL as ur senpais we just wanted to know what was up!’’ and tsukki resists making a height joke and instead just goes ‘’we’ve been together for 4 years’’; yams comes from nowhere he just heard the last part and grabs tsukki’s hand then ‘’did you guys just realize that?’’ ‘’EVERYTHING MAKES SENSE NOW’’ NISHINOYA SCREAMS SHOUYOU SCREAMS EVEN MORE KAGEYAMA DOESN’T KNOW WHAT JUST HAPPENED SUGA IS LAUGHING TO HIMSELF DAICHI IS JUST LIKE ‘’resist making a dad joke resist making a dad joke’’ TANAKA SCREAMS ‘’YOU’RE GAY?’’

Tsukki just nods and Daichi scream out of nowhere ‘’hEY GAY I’M DAD’’ ASAHI CRIES. NOYA PROBABLY JUMPS ON ASAHI AND MAMA SUGAWARA HITS DAICHI HARD ‘’see we aren’t the only couple here’’ ‘’SUGA WHAT THE FUCK’’. Poor Asahi is so confused he didn’t listen to everything, he’s like ‘’....did no one else know WE were a thing?’’ everything goes silent. ‘’so you guys ARE a couple?’’ daichi tries again ‘’HEY ASAHI IM’’ ‘’SHUT UP DAICHI ‘’. SHOUYOU SCREAMS EVEN MORE KAGEYAMA PUKES UP MILK AND BECAUSE OF THAT HINATA DOES IT TOO AT THE SIGHT OF HIM VOMITING.

Tanaka is just ‘’HEY ENNOSHITA DID YOU KNOW TSUKKISHIMA AND YAMAGUCHI ARE-’’ ‘’yes.’’

‘’O-OH... OK BUT DID YOU KNOW ASAHI AND NOYA ARE-’’ ‘’tanaka i walked into them making out in the broom closet when we were in first year. i knew’’ ‘’OK BUT - OK ENNOSHITA’’. Ennoshita knows everything Ennoshita is mama in training.

‘oK ENNOSHITA U SMARTASS DID YOU KNOW YOU AND ME ARE GOING OUT????’’ ‘’yes i knew that- WAIT WHAT?’’ Tanaka doesn’t want to be outdone by all the gayness going on so he just confesses right there, Ennoshita says yes but he faints straight after, Tanaka is too busy taking his shirt off and screaming with Noya. Narita and Kinoshita catch him
