Kaeya was smart enough to figure out the value of what the elderly in Mondstat gossip about. Gaining their favoritism is simply just a wonderful bonus.

synopsis: what would happen if some of the genshin characters got paired with you for 7MIH ?

characters: kaeya, venti, xiao, ayaka

mf was so excited to play the game until he realised you could potentially get paired with someone else

he was in a very sour mood after that thought , yet it all changed when he heard your name being called out right after his

looked extremely chill (no pun intended) on the outside but on the inside, he was literally having an existential crisis

like he JUST got paired with his crush (hopefully future-lover) and not only that , you’re going to be stuck in a small space together for seven minutes!

manages to slip in a few nonchalant side comments and teasing remarks like, “ohoho, is that your heart beating faster than usual?” “kaeya, that’s literally you, you’re sweating.”

it was such an awkward and uncomfortable silence , it felt too long, so much so that you decided to take the initiative and kiss him

it was a bit more forceful than intended but hey, at least he got a kiss from you. the hairs on his neck stood up yet the slight tug of his hair was enough for him to regain his courage.

it was getting a teeeny bit too passionate however the loud knocking on the closet door blocked you from continuing

made up multiple excuses to be able to hold you throughout the rest of the night <3

i sort of doubt he even knows the rules or even the basics of this game since he’s so old and he spends most of his time writing poems or getting drunk

however! when he knows the premise of the game, he joins in with a grin. unbeknownst to you, he was giddy at the thought and chance of being paired up with you

after some boring turns and encounters , your name was called out

no-body could actually tell, but venti was so nervous ?? man was literally sweating and his pupils dilated in anticipation

hearing his name get called out was better than any soliloquy in song, he got up and hurried over to the closet with you trailing behind

once you were in there though , he wasn’t sure what to do,,, like you’re here now, that’s great,, but oh my winds i can literally feel your breath fanning my neck,, and your heartbeat is almost as loud as mine,,

it was most unexpected but it was sort of amusing to see someone so breezy and extroverted to be turned into this mushy puddle of feelings because of one person

“sooo,, how’s your night goi-“ even with the dim light barely passing through the slight gap in the door, you could tell he was stressing and being the ever so lovely~ person you just took his face and kissed him lol

it was extremely surprising to him, but he complied regardless, the butterflies in his stomach dancing around vibrantly

his hand trailed up to cup your cheek affectionately, he caressed it with his thumb as you finally broke the kiss to catch your breath

too bad his dream got cut short, when he sat back down all he could think about was the feeling of your lips on his

if you did eventually manage to get him to play, he would refuse to go with anyone he was paired with saying he “won’t indulge in mortal activities”

butttt, something changed when he heard your name and his being pulled out the pile of papers

“xiao you don’t have to do it if you’re not comfortable :))” he could’ve sworn he saw a halo just resting on your head

shaking his head , he took your hand forcefully and took you into the closet because although he didn’t want to play the game before, he was awaiting this moment all night

the cramped space made you both squish into each-other, he slid his hands around your waist claiming it’s just for comfort due the lack of space, you and him both knew it was a lie lol

minutes felt like hours as your pounding hearts couldn’t take it anymore.

“xiao,, can i,,?” he only nodded in response too flushed to say anything

and just like that, your lips gently fell onto his moulding together like it was meant to be

proceeding the seven minutes not much happened, she didn’t want to make you feel uncomfortable especially considering the close proximities

AHH I BET U SHE’D BE ALL BLUSHY AND SHY ABT THE WHOLE SITUATION LIKE SAYING STUFF LIKE “I apologize for being so,,improper,,”

and when your in close proximity with your girl ‘bestfriend’ who you also have a crush on (unbeknownst to her) why wouldn’t you just sneak in a kiss for the fun of it

so whilst she was babbling on about the yashiro commission for a bit, you distracted her swiftly by clashing your lips together, gently of course

her heart pounded and cheeks flushed whilst trying to process the situation

had to excuse herself after that, but don’t worry she asked you out more ‘professionally’ after a few days ;]
