𝗗𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Rochel / King of Cups
Tumblr media
𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
Today we are being asked to take a good hard look at how we are conducting ourselves emotionally and spiritually. We are the ones responsible for our reactions to emotional stimulation, when something takes place that might rock the boat, so to speak, we are being asked to take our emotions and the emotions of others into serious consideration so we are better able to conduct ourselves in a manner that is healing.
𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗸
Rochel will help the seeker find hidden or stolen objects and restore them to their rightful owners, while also exposing the person responsible. Calling upon Rochel in a court of law will help distinguish the summoner and bring them justice for the acts they have been wronged by, especially in cases of theft. Rochel rules renown, fortune and succession.

Is the spiritual person a conspiracy theorist? A list of red flags
They talk about a shadowy group of people supposedly manipulating everything behind the scenes. They might refer to them by terms such as globalists, bankers, international bankers, secret rulers of the world, the elite, the cabal, Kabbalists, Talmudists, satanists, satanic pedophiles, pedophiles, generational satanists, satanic bloodlines, the Illuminati, the Babylonian Brotherhood, lizard people, Reptilians, Orions, regressives, regressive entities, Khazarians, Marxists, cultural Marxists, or leftists. Sometimes, very rarely, they'll just come right out and say "Jews."
They claim that the conspiracy has been working to conceal historical and spiritual truths from humanity.
They claim that the conspiracy uses stuff like food, entertainment, and medicine to control the masses. For example, "additives in food suppress our psychic abilities" or "Hollywood films contain subliminal messages" or "COVID vaccines were actually created to alter your DNA to make you more docile."
Also, claims that the conspiracy controls people via spiritual or technological implants, 5G, or alter programming, with or without explicit mention of Project Monarch (a conspiracy theory promoted by far right cranks such as Mark Philips and Fritz Springmeier, who used hypnosis to respectively convince Cathy O'Brien and Cisco Wheeler that they'd been put under mind control by a global satanic conspiracy).
They claim that this conspiracy is controlling the media, has fingers in every institution they disagree with, and is generally behind everything they disagree with. (EG, the conspiracy created the Catholic Church; that other New Ager they disagree with is actually controlled opposition, etc.)
They claim that the conspiracy is trying to keep people in fear.
They claim that the conspiracy harvests something from people. Blood and adrenochrome are common ones. Loosh is somewhat less common. Expect to see something else pop up eventually.
They claim that the conspiracy practices genetic engineering; EG, creating animal/human hybrids, using vaccines to genetically sever people's connection to God, etc.
They claim that true spiritual wisdom can be traced back to places like Atlantis, Lemuria, or Mu.
They claim that world governments have secretly been in contact with extraterrestrials for years.
They appeal to known frauds and cranks, including but not limited to Erich Von Daniken, Zechariah Sitchin, David Icke, David Wilcock, Graham Hancock, Jaime Maussan, Bob Lazar, Steven Greer, Richard C. Hoagland, Fritz Springmeier, and Drunvalo Melchizedek.
Appeals to forged documents, including but not limited to the alleged diary of Admiral Richard Byrd, The Emerald Tablets of Thoth the Atlantean, and The Urantia Book.
Appeals to channeled information, such as that provided by Edgar Cayce, Carla Rueckert, or George Van Tassel.
"But all of this has to come from somewhere, doesn't it?"
Oh, it all comes from somewhere, all right, but the where isn't what most people imagine.
A lot of the stuff above is just a modern spin on the content of The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion, a Russian hoax created to justify violence against Russian Jews. The Protocols itself was plagiarized from a political satire and incorporated a lot of the post-French Revolution conspiracy theories about Freemasons and Jews being behind the French Revolution. I wrote a summary of the conspiracy tropes found in The Protocols over here.
The stuff about Satanic sacrifices and the consumption of blood, adrenochrome, loosh, or whatever are simply just variations on blood libel, an antisemitic conspiracy theory that claims Jews practice ritual cannibalism. Blood libel can be traced back to ancient Greece. (With the Greek version, I really can't help but notice the similarity to modern urban legends of gangsters kidnapping random people for initiation rituals.)
Many of these tropes can also be linked back to the early modern witch hunts. It was believed that witches sacrificed babies to Satan, practiced cannibalism, and put people under mind control by way of diabolical magic. It was also believed that some witches didn't even know they were witches; they'd go off to attend the Devil's Sabbath at night and come back in the morning without remembering a thing. In the late 20th century, this witch hunter's canard would be reinvented as the alter programming conspiracy theory when media such as the 1973 book Sibyl and its 1976 television adaptation put DID (note: the woman who inspired Sibyl did not have DID) into the public consciousness. For a more complete list of witch panic and blood libel tropes, I wrote a list over here.
Lemuria was a hypothetical landmass proposed to explain the presence of lemur fossils in Madagascar and India while being absent in continental Africa and the rest of Asia, because if lemurs evolved naturally, they wouldn't be in two separate places with no connection to each other. The discovery that India and Madagascar were once connected not only made the hypothesis obsolete, it precludes the existence of Lemuria.
The whole notion of Mu began with a horrendous mistranslation of the Troano manuscript. A man named Augustus Le Plongeon would link the mistranslation with the story of Atlantis, and use it to claim that Atlantis actually existed in the Americas. (For Plongeon, Mu and Atlantis were one and the same.) And then other people (like James Churchward) got their hands on the whole Mu thing, and put their own spins on it, and the rest is history.
Le Plongeon's ideas influence modern Atlantis mythology today; EG, the idea that it was in the Americas. Another guy who helped shape the modern Atlantis myth was Ignatius L. Donnelly, an American politician. Dude claimed that Atlanteans spread their oh-so-superior culture far and wide. He also claimed that Atlantis was the home of the Aryan people, because of course he did.
The idea that all of the world's wisdom can be traced back to Thoth/Hermes goes back to Hermeticism, a product of Greco-Egyptian syncretism. Hermeticism produced a fascinating body of mythology and an interesting way to consider the divine and its role in shaping human history, but that doesn't mean it was right. And the Emerald Tablets of Thoth the Atlantean is a modern text that has fuck-all to do with ancient Hermeticism and more to do with HP Lovecraft.
This idea that the conspiracy uses pharmaceutical drugs and vaccines for evil also has roots in Nazi Germany. The Nazi government, wanting to reserve real medicine for their soldiers, told the general populace that said medicine was the product of evil Jewish science and prescribed alternative healing modalities instead. (Said alternative healing modalities did not particularly work.) It also echoes the old conspiracy theories about Jews spreading the Black Death by poisoning wells.
The idea that the conspiracy uses genetic manipulation to create subhuman beings or sever humanity from the divine is a permutation of the Nazi conspiracy theory that Jews are trying to destroy the white race through race mixing. The idea of evil reptilian DNA goes back to the ancient serpent seed doctrine, which is indeed old, but no less pure hateful nonsense for it.
"But there's got to be somebody up to something rotten out there!"
Oh sure. But these people aren't skulking around in the shadows. They're acting pretty openly.
The Heritage Foundation has been working to push this country into Christofascism since the early 1970's. They're the ones responsible for the rise of the Moral Majority and the election of Ronald Reagan. They're also the ones behind Project 2025, which intends to bring us deeper into Christofascism. (Among many other horrible things, they intend to outlaw trans people as "pornographic.")
The Seven Mountains Mandate is another movement pushing for Christofascism. They intend to seize the "seven spheres" of society, which include education, religion, family, business, government/military, arts/entertainment, and media.
There's also the ghoulish American Evangelicals who support Israel because they think that current events are going to bring about the Second Coming of Jesus and cement the formation of a global Christofascist empire. Don't let their apparent support of Jews fool you - they believe that the good Jews will become Christians and the bad ones will go to hell.
All of these people are working toward monstrously horrific goals, but none of them are part of an ancient megaconspiracy. In fact, these are the kinds of people pushing the myth of the ancient megaconspiracy. From the witch hunts to Nazi Germany to the American Evangelical movement, if history has taught us anything, the people pushing the conspiracy theories are always the bad guys.

Magus as the Goetic Demon, Bifrons: A Duh Moment.
Because Magus is a man I would have married when I was 12.
Tumblr media
Above image credit here
[Personal note 📝 eep.. sometimes I suspect that my crush reads my blog or that my posts influence his algorithm at least. Can't help but worry that posting about demons and blasphemy kinks is gonna be the thing that finally makes him "nope" out. "Pray" for us, y'all.]
Okay so.
For funsies, I've been reading about the Goetia/Goetic "demons"[1],[6], and their angelic counterparts, the Kabbalah/Kabbalistic Angels of the ShemhaMephorash. It's a complex set of 144 beings. Supposedly these beings are organized by zodiac/time. So I choose to read a little about each angel and their corresponding demon during the time that a particular website[2] says the angel commands/physically manifests during.
The current angel is Ariel. The counterpart to Ariel is the goetia, Bifrons.
⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️ WARNING: Any links I post past this point may lead you to some charlatan bullshit. Don't buy shit from these links and claim I endorsed it. Use good judgment and proceed with caution. Spoilers, GIFs⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️
Tumblr media
The dancing lights and flowing hair and cape made this pile of pixels the sexiest thing ever according to 12y/o me.
According to Black Witch Coven[3], Bifrons is the demonic Earl of Hell, commanding legions of demons. He is associated with graveyards, necromancy, geometry, astrology, and his name originates, without any doubt, from the Roman god Bifrons (Janus). Bifrons was also one the names given to the baphomet allegedly worshipped by the Knights Templar, and which description was as a statue with two heads, one looking towards the left to tell the past, and the other looking towards the right to tell the future. Bifrons can transport corpses from their original grave into other places, sometimes putting magic lights on the graves that seem like candles. He appears as a monster, but then changes his shape into that of a man. He teaches Astrology, Geometry, other Arts and Sciences, the Virtues of Precious Stones, plants, woods, herbs, astrology and planetary influences. He excels in geometry. It is he who lights the strange corpse lights above the tombs of the dead.
Tumblr media
Magus just chillin' with a Baphomet.
So let's break that down a little bit. Bifrons is...
Janus. BIFRONS IS JANUS. Magus is also named Janus. Roman Janus had been renamed Bifrons, which is just a fancy word for Two Faced gods (Two-Fronts.) Chrono Trigger's Janus had been renamed Magus, which is just a fancy word for a Magician. Both are associated with time, time travel, the past, and the future. Both are associated with the Baphomet.
Baphomet is a statue of a demon with the naked torso of a man but a horned, goat-faced head. The statue is usually depicted with an exposed hard-on, or a wand/rod where the hard-on would be. The phallus or phallic symbol is often wrapped with snakes, depicting the caduceus, or healing rod of Hermes. Here we see a stylized candelabra used as a censor for Magus' four-armed Baphomet.
Tumblr media
Bifrons is the guy who lights strange dancing candles and "corpse lights" in and around tombs and gravesites. Magus has these dancing lights all around his place, and each light sometimes turns into a skeleton monster. There are tombs, coffins, corpses, all over Magus' lair, associating him with gravesites and necromancy, just like Bifrons. And Magus' powers are based on GEOMETRY and ASTRONOMY and PLANETARY INFLUENCES. Just. Like. Bifrons.
Magus commands monsters in the game and is effectively treated like the king of monsters. Bifrons commands legions of demons and is effectively treated like a king of demons.
Bifrons and Magus are both royalty: Bifrons is an Earl of Hell and Magus' is revealed the son of Queen Zeal, the young Prince Janus.
Tumblr media
According to GameRant, The name Magus itself has several meanings aside from the obvious allegories to magic. It's the singular word for the term "Magi," which lends further weight to his allure and proficiency as a spellcaster. Magus' Japanese name, Mao, is far more sinister. It effectively means "Demon King," which was pretty much Magus' identity before Crono and his friends have the chance to rope him into their quest to save the world.
Ooh. So, "Demon King," you don't say? Hm.
In addition to this, Magus was sent to the past, and is constantly aware of the future and looking forward to it. Janus is far far into the future, staring into the past. if we think of Bifrons' baphomet having one face looking to the left to see into the past and one looking to the right to see into the future, we get further inclination that Magus might have been based on Bifrons.
Tumblr media
If that's the case, then imagery of Magus could in fact be a fairly effective, and attractive, altar image to utilize in pathworking, if you believe in such things. But what do practitioners of those crafts say about Bifron's appearance?
We know Bifrons first appears as a monster, but depending on the bravery and the request of the practitioner, he will "take the shape of a man well versed in astronomy and geometry." So how does Magus appear to us?
As far as game logic is concerned... Magus first appears to us as a monster! Then depending upon the bravery of Frog and the decision of the player, he either [spoilers ahead] remains a monster and does not help you...
Tumblr media
Or [spoiler] joins your party, effectively becoming a man by game logic. He's a player character, no longer a mob. It's fascinating to me that this is so parallel to Bifrons.
Once he's in your party, you can literally have him help you save Chrono's life by [spoiler] having him transport a kind of doll of Chrono and swap places between Chrono's corpse and the "corpse" of the doll. Very Bifrons energy.
According to Pitch Black Craft[5] Bifrons changes the placement of the dead and puts them in another place.
Bifrons is a necromancy demon and he can help you to communicate with the dead. This spirit can be called upon during a funeral, because he can help the dead to leave the physical plane faster and more easily.
Bifrons can be called upon during rituals to honour and to keep in touch with dead ancestors.
He rules 6 ( but actually maybe 60) legions of spirits. [Also says 26].
So we have a guy that can swap the dead's places swapping the places of a man who is about to die with a "man that is already dead" or a doll.
Tumblr media
"Wait whaddaya mean already dead" I hear you asking. Well, this is a theory so we're off the rails, but I'll explain. Take the following with a grain of salt because it's just a headcanon.
The Chrono doll came from Norstein Bekkler's creepy ass tent - the one with the skull-shaped entryway. Inside this silent creepy space, you can play games with creations of his, such as a type of 3 shell game featuring identical Guardia Soldiers, Biggs, Wedge, & Piette. Or another game that utilizes a creepy clone of you... That you have to pay 30 silver for... just like you'd pay the devil in certain contracts... and he accepts no other currency. For a doll of you. That IS you. And can/will be delivered directly to your house no matter where in time and space the house is, instantly. Bekkler is therefore another time traveling "devil" with a creepy front door to a creepy lair and a wicked widowspeak hairline.
I've always suspected Bekkler and Magus could be the same character, as Magus can be anywhere at any time. Bekkler's Biggs, Wedge, & Piette dolls function like the guardia knights that turn into skeletons in Magus' lair. If I'm correct, then the cloned "dolls" from Bekkler's lab are some kind of similar necromancy, possibly of closely related similar looking ancestors, such as Leene to Marle. Magus even made a Leene clone for you to fight in his castle.
MAGUS, not Bekkler, cloned Lucca's dad and Chrono's mom. Instantly. In a completely different era in time. Just to harass Chrono and friends in the castle. So as far as we know, only Bekkler and MAGUS have this unique necromantic cloning ability.
Meaning... what if the dolls you win at Bekkler's are made out of the characters' own ancestors bodies, using Magus' necromantic and time-bending magics? What if Marle's doll was made out of Leene somehow? With the same kind of necromancy that Magus used in his castle to make skeletons and monsters look like healthy Guardia citizens? With the ancestor's body being swapped out or graverobbed shortly after death?
Tumblr media
This guy can by anywhere everywhere all over the place at once anytime all the time. Image collage done in phone app with game recources.
It's not cannon to the game, but would certainly link Magus more closely to Bifrons, if Magus were to have swapped a "corpse" with Chrono's body at the point of Chrono's death.
But it is not my headcanon alone that I will be using; I will also cite the goetic artist coffeeatus[7], who describes Bifron's human shape as "the Tall man with the very long blond hair." Which sounds enough like our man, Magus to me. (Marle in game describes him as the blue-haired one, and Ayla asks if the blue-haired one is more tasty. But in many arts, he appears platinum blonde to lilac.)
“Bifrons who appears as a wolf like monster, but at the Will of the Sorcerer, will change shape to a human male. Bifrons is a necromantic spirit, who governs the realm of shades; he may bring one close to various shades of the dead, but often they are not who they claim to be. Be cautious but be indulgent with this spirit as well. Bifrons may change the place of dead bodies, being the binding of ghosts to various fetishes or pots, and lights witch fire on the graves of the dead.”
~From the Luciferian Goetia by Michael Ford[8]
Similarly, I think certain pots and objects in Magus' castle had monsters in them of some sort. He also turned 4 children into shadow monsters who were guarding a treasure. The children, and in fact all of the "people" in Magnus' castle were shades of some sort, and "not who they claimed to be."
And finally...
“Another necromancy demon. Work with Bifrons to communicate with the dead. This would be the daemon invoked for a funeral ceremony to help usher the dead on their journey. Also invoke during rituals to honor ancestors or to learn to accept death.”
~From the Daemonolatry Goetia by S. Connolly[8]
Tumblr media
Magus is a character who simply cannot accept the death of his loved one. So it is interesting that Bifrons is a psychopomp who also assists others in accepting death.
Magus' character design is top notch, thanks to Akira Toriyama. I can only assume he was aware of the lore surrounding demonic royalty like Bifrons. He did put demon kings in many of his works, such as Go! Go! Ackman which was all about demons, and DragonBall which features Piccolo as a demon king.
Should Toriyama have intentionally modeled Magus as an homage to Bifrons, that could make his artwork one of the best-known and most powerful representations of this entity. Theoretically his image would make for powerful meditative pathworking and spellworking ⚠️⚠️⚠️I'm giving links below, DO NOT get sucked into a cult goddamnit⚠️⚠️⚠️ for magics involving astrology, geometry, herbs, plants, necromancy, arts, sciences, or possibly curses[9].
But as for me, I just wanted to bang him in the middle of a giant glowwy summoning circle because I thought that was hot. Whether I write smut on the topic might depend on interest- Chrono Trigger is a fairly inactive, old fandom.
Below are a handful of links to some good fanart, followed by citations and links. Thank you for coming to my ted talk.

Does the Witch Doctor in Africa countries make Kabbalistic Pacts with the Devil like in Haitian Voodoo and Jamaican Obeah?
They most certainly do not make Kabbalistic Pacts with the Devil which is a Judeo Christian Islamic concept, which they were not, African priest and priestess doubled as healers both spiritual and physical , they understand there is a duality in nature as in the spiritual worlds one can tap into , eg Horus cannot exist without his polar opposite Set.
Now that said there are areas where both the Christian concepts became entwined with African religious concepts as in the cross roads and Papa Legba.
Because slave owners were worried about potential rebellion, they often separated enslaved people from the same area.
By mixing people from different regions and language groups, they could use the communication barrier to discourage or even prevent revolt. However, many of the deities were similar, and so enslaved people from different parts of Africa soon found commonalities in their spiritual beliefs and practices, which they were forced to keep hidden.
Papa Legba soon found a home in the religious structures of enslaved people in Haiti and the Caribbean, as well as in the American colonies. Author Denise Alvarado says Legba:
...stands at a spiritual crossroads and grants or denies permission to speak with the spirits of Guinee, and is believed to speak all human languages. He is always the first, and the last spirit invoked in any ceremony because his permission is needed for any communication between mortals and the loa—he opens and closes the doorway to the spirit world.
Over time, after African syncretic practices blended with Catholicism in the new world, Legba became associated with several saints, including Saint Peter, Saint Anthony, and Saint Lazarus.
In the Haitian religion of Vodou, Legba is seen as the intermediary between mortal men and the loa, or lwa. The loa are a group of spirits responsible for various aspects of daily life, and they are the children of a supreme creator, Bondye. They are divided into families, such as the Ghede and Ogou, and practitioners develop relationships with them through offerings, petitions, and prayers. Often, Papa Legba is the one who carries these prayers to the loa.
Note the cross roads would later become associated with the devil in this religious synchronism.
Tumblr media
Statue of Legba as fertility god. Atlantide Phototravel / Getty Images Plus
Legba has evolved in numerous ways from his origins in Africa, where he is sometimes viewed as a fertility god or a trickster; he many be depicted as both male and female, sometimes with a large erect phallus. In other areas, he is a protector of children or a healer, and can grant forgiveness for crimes against others. Variants of Legba exist in many places including Brazil, Trinidad, and Cuba.
Papa Legba appears in many forms in New Orleans Voodoo and Haitian Vodou. He is typically depicted as an older man, sometimes wearing a straw hat or old tattered clothing, walking with a cane, and accompanied by a dog. He's associated with the colors black and red.
Legba is strongly associated with crossroads magic, and is referenced in a number of early twentieth-century blues tunes from the area of the Mississippi Delta. Famed bluesman Robert Johnson is said to have met a spirit at the crossroads, and offered him his soul in exchange for musical success. Although eventually the story was twisted to say Johnson met the Devil, musical folklorists believe that tale is rooted in racist ideology; instead, Johnson met Legba at the crossroads, where he had gone seeking guidance and wisdom.
Papa Legba is a master communicator, who is said to speak the languages of all human beings; he then translates petitions and delivers them to the loa. He is a teacher and warrior, but also a trickster deity. Legba is a remover of obstacles, and can be consulted to help find new, positive opportunities, thanks to his ability to open doors and new roads
Tumblr media
Legba represents a West African and Caribbean Voodoo god. This god has many different names depending on the region in which he is worshipped is most commonly known in Haiti as Papa Legba. Papa Legba serves as the guardian of the Poto Mitan--the center of power and support in the home. Additionally, he allows for communication between humans and the spirit world. According to West African Voodoo practices, spirits of the dead are not able to inhabit one's body unless permitted by Papa Legba. The symbol for Legba typically has a red background, one of his representative colors. The symbol includes several keys which signify Legba's control over communications and forms of passage, including locks, gates, and passageways;it also includes a cane, as Papa Legba is generally depicted as an old and feeble man in the Haitian religion. There are many chants to summon Papa Legba, one of which is: Papa Legba, Open the gate for me/Atibon Legba, Open the gate for me/Open the gate for me/Papa that I may pass/When I return I will thank the Lwa.

GYE NYAME - Supremacy of God
Tumblr media
Gye Nyame, meaning “except for God,” symbolizes God’s omnipotence through the knowledge that people should not fear anything except for God. Another interpretation of “except for God” is that no one has seen the beginning of all creations, nor will anyone live to see the end, except for God. Gye Nyame indicates the recognition of the supremacy of God over all beings, and therefore is the one that is feared and revered by all. This is one of the many Adinkra symbols of West Africa, Ghana, and is used by the Akan people in various decorations, clothing, and artwork. Some say that the symbol represents a spiral galaxy, or two hands with different gestures that refer to God being supreme to the simplistic ideals of male and female identifications that are used today. The use of this symbol by the Akan people suggests that the Akan had a highly advanced writing language that transmitted religious and cultural concepts, and also might have had a somewhat extensive knowledge of astronomy, which shows their intellect and indicates that the Akan were a more advanced civilization.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nkisi Sarabanda, symbolizing the signature of the spirit, is a representation of a bakongo cosmogram. This symbol portrays how the Congo-angolan people viewed the interaction between the spiritual and material world, or in other words between the living and the dead;the Congo-angolan people believe that these worlds are inherently intertwined. An Nkisi is a spiritual object used for worship purposes, and have been found in places where enslaved Africans have lived in, such as in the plantation homes. Nkisis show the development of African American culture in how they are essentially African objects, but are constructed through American materials. This also reveals an aspect of the melting pot of African and American culture. Sarabanda just connotes "the highest spirit". Part of the symbol takes the form of a cross, because the Congolese had an inclination towards Christianity. Communication appears to take place at the center of the cross, where the worlds intersect, and it was believed that spirits sat at the center of the sign. The arrows represent the four winds of the universe, and the symbol as a whole resembles the form of a spiral galaxy;this indicates their interest in astronomy and affinity towards nature.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nsoromma, meaning "children of the heavens" or "star," symbolizes the guardianship of God and how he watches over all beings. It is one of the many Adinkra symbols that the Ghanaian people have lived by. The protection of God is constant, like the stars in the universe. The stars also embody light, with the vision of light slicing through darkness as a savior, or protector. The symbol indicates the existence of the spiritual world, in which our ancestors and past families exist and watch over us, creating a feeling of safety and wholeness. Nsoromma expresses the message to live life to its fullest knowing that you are supported and strengthened by God.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Divinity of Mother Earth
Asase Ye Duru—literally meaning “the earth has no weight”—is a symbol that represents power, providence and divinity. The symbol is one of many adinkras, or depictions of important concepts created by the Akan peoples of Ghana. Asase Ye Duru emphasizes the importance of the Earth and its preservation. People must respect and nurture the Earth, and should never act in ways that might directly or indirectly harm the Earth. The significance of the Earth to the people of Ghana is evident in the following proverbs: Tumi nyina ne asase, meaning All power emanates from the earth; and Asase ye duru sen epo, meaning The earth is heavier than the sea. The African Burial Ground honors these principles, as it surrounds itself with natural resources and emphasizes the cohesion of death and nature.

I’m PJ Superior: Queer hillbilly witch and esoteric feminist artist from the Smoky Mountains, same homeland as Dolly Parton. After several years on the American West Coast, I now reside in the Netherlands.
I may add more details to this bio post later.
I am currently working as a PMU and tattoo artist with Magic PJ’s in Utrecht. I went through my apprenticeship in Los Angeles years ago.
While in LA, I made most of my bread and butter as a tarot reader for private parties and public events. I learned to read regular playing cards intuitively as a kid before I even knew the word “tarot”. Once I left home, from the remote hollers of the East Tennessee hills, I began studying tarot and enriching my intuition through real historical knowledge including Kabbalist planetary numerology. I had years of experience before I found myself out west. I have taught these insights to hundreds of others mainly through my zine style Coloring Guide to Tarot.
As a visual artist, I am most “known” for my vulvarobed goddesses, especially Maria, created in 2013.
My custom Astroportraits are one of my most popular art services and I hope to offer them as tattoos in the future too.

"I believe David Bowie is true magician in the story of rock & roll, the artist who most perfectly realized the definition of magic, both Crowley’s original (“The science and art of causing change to occur in conformity with Will”) and Dion Fortune’s modification (“Magick is the art of causing changes in consciousness in conformity with the Will”). The occult imagination is not simply about belief or practice, it’s about how the application of the occult became the very method by which rock & roll was often realized. Bowie’s music and performance were a magical practice, maybe even more potent than if he sat by himself in his room and tried to conjure a demon. I think this goes to the heart of my frustration with the occult merely as a belief system. Without art, without some expression of those experiences and those interactions with the unconscious, I lose interest. It’s fun to imagine Crowley at the Boleskine house trying to meet his Holy Guardian Angel, but what is left except the story? The story of David Bowie drawing the Kabbalistic tree of life in the studio when he was recording Station To Station resonates because of Station To Station the album. It’s a masterpiece, and it is partly a result of what was going on in his head as he tried to manage a psyche fractured by cocaine and occultism." So it gets talked about plenty, but obviously the whole deal about Salem was the fact that the people there were falsely accused of witchcraft. There were no Salem witches. Also the whole thing started out of persecution of an older slave woman by young white girls. So... maybe some self reflection or whatever.
CORRECTION: the painting I previously had here had nothing to do with the woman Tituba. Tituba was a slave woman found guilty of witchcraft in 1692 Salem. She was accused by the young white women Elizabeth Parris and Abigail Williams, presumably because she told them about her old voodoo religion.
But ALSO it's actually an interesting misconception about most "witch trials" that they were trials OF witches. The reason they're called witch trials is because the women in them were falsely accused of witchcraft. These accusations came from an unhinged apocalyptic conspiracy theory held by some of the insquisitors and popes through the Renaissance. Basically they said that poor women across Europe were engaging in a kind of secret mass witch cult, conspiring to bring about the end of the world under Satan's direct command.
Tumblr media
Witches' Sabbath (The Great He-goat) by Francisco de Goya, painted 1821-1823 to criticize the paranoia of the Spanish Inquisition that he lived under
But this misconception about pagan witch trials comes from a period of the Renaissance inquisition wherein the vast majority of those trials were against heretical Catholics, Jews, Muslims, etc. Many of the Jews in question were Kabbalists, as were a lot of the Catholic heretics who picked up Kabbalah as part of their esoteric or demonological research (think Nicholas Flamel, though his case is probably ahistorical). And yes, rarely there were actually trials of pagans. But by far the majority of that middle and later inquisition were unfounded claims against Christian women by corrupt inquisitors with a fetish for torturing women. And this all goes back to Heinrich Kramer, who published the infamous Malleus Maleficarum in 1486, the literal guide on how to torture and execute witches. (Also, the fetish thing sounds very specific but it's a weirdly common trend that these inquisitors got sexual gratification out of their work)
Tumblr media
A woodcut print from the book De Lamiis et Pythonicis Mulieribus by Ulrich Molitor, published in 1489 to criticize the Malleus Maleficarum for being paranoid and bigoted
Also interestingly, the early inquisition was strictly prohibited from trying anyone except Christians, and weren't allowed to administer physical punishment. All they wanted to do was to get heretics back into the orthodox practice of Christianity. It wouldn't be until the middle inquisition when that escalated to violence.
Tumblr media
The Green Man, a symbol which started to appear in western Europe around the time of the Crusades, post-Christianization. It is associated with European paganism despite having dubious ties to that at best.
Finally, I want to be clear that there is almost nothing "pagan" about modern neopaganism and Wicca. Or rather, because of neopaganism, "pagan" has come to have a split definition. One describes indigenous folk religions. The other describes a reconstructed esoteric religion drawing from Kabbalah, Hermeticism, Alchemy, Neoplatonism, Occultism, and misappropriating various tropes or figures from pagan traditions to turn them into a sort of flattened representation of an esoteric concept without the context or meaning of its original religion. Neopaganism falls into the latter category. The actual indigenous traditions of Europe were dramatically more flexible, animistic, lived, and locally specific than neopaganism today. For example no religion celebrated both Yule AND Samhain, these were local traditions of specific cultures. The Celtic druids most likely didn't have any pantheon of "gods" but an animistic and spiritual study of ecology and human relationship to their own homeland. And above all, for most of European pagan history it was about active struggle against colonization and environmental destruction.
Tumblr media
Vercingetorix Throws Down His Arms at the Feet of Julius Caesar painted by Lionel Royer in 1899. Vercingetorix was elected by a council of Gallic druids in 52 BCE, and then immediately declared an anticolonial revolution against Julius Caesar. He was defeated and executed 6 years later.
In conclusion:
Nothing like modern-styled neopaganism has ever been persecuted, and it's more closely related to Renaissance occultism than it is to any historical North/Western European paganism.
You may think it cruel but when a white witch pisses me off I go through her etsy listings for native bird feathers and forward it to fish and wildlife services

I know nothing about the occult — or at least, if I do know anything, I don't know that I know it. Where to start?
While probably outdated in some respects, Colin Wilson's The Occult: A History (1971) is a good and well-written introduction to the subject. It's long but divided into three distinct parts. You can skim the first part (his general views on magic and metaphysics with some interesting material on Tarot, the I Ching, human evolution, the relation of magic to art and poetry) and skip the third (an omnium gatherum of strange occurrences through history—witch trials, lycanthropy, seances, and the like—demonstrating the reality of the "X" factor of human super-consciousness he thinks lurks behind magic). But the long middle part, Wilson's history of magic from antiquity forward, with pieces on the Kabbalists, the alchemists, Crowley, Blavatsky, Gurdjieff, etc., will give you a solid grounding in the history of western occultism and its practitioners.

In San Francisco's twilight, witches entwined,
Non-binary souls, by music defined.
Jewish mystique in the empire's decline,
Herbalists of love, their essences aligning.
Femininity blooms in whispers of song,
Notes of rebellion where empires go wrong.
In the city's embrace, love finds its art,
Two mystics converge, a symphonic heart.
Kabbalistic dance, the mystical tune,
Binding their spirits, an alchemical swoon.
Herbs weave a tapestry, fragrant and wise,
Love's elixir brewed as the empire dies
Our bodies, flickering notes, compose a duet,
In the age of decay, a lovers moonlit silhouette.
foggy morning whispers, the ocean an enchanted scroll,
Two souls write the tale as empires grow cold.

Cisco Wheeler and Fritz Springmeier, who pushed ideas such as jewel programming and color programming (Svali clearly gets a lot of her ideas from them), are very much proponents of the "global satanic cult that wants to take over the world and install the Anti-Christ as ruler" brand of conspiracy theories. For Wheeler and Springmeier, this is the whole purpose of Project Monarch, an alleged CIA/Illuminati program that supposedly practices mind control by way of inducing DID into young children. (There's no evidence that it ever existed. By the way, there's info on how DID entered the Satanic Panic myth more generally over here.) Thus, Wheeler and Springmeier's assertion that people are intentionally inducing DID for the purpose of mind control cannot be separated from their conspiratorial apocalyptic Christian narrative.
Like everything else in the Satanic Panic, it's just repackaged witch hysteria and antisemitism intended to demonize anyone who wasn't the "right" kind of Christian, and scare those who were into remaining such. If you can understand why the witch trials of Europe and the various persecutions of Jews throughout history were bullshit, you can understand why this is bullshit, and you can understand why current attempts to rehabilitate the conspiracy theory by putting a "progressive" spin on it are also bullshit.
Their 1995 book, They Know Not What They Do: Illustrated Guide to Monarch Mind Control, makes a number of absurd claims.
It claims that the American eagle represents "the power of the air," IE, Satan, and:
Ancient Egypt's sexual magic is with us today. Their phoenix/eagle is placed on the items of various law enforcement groups, and reminds us that the government, the judicial system, and the military system have been seriously controlled by the Illuminati. (p. 11)
The eagle represents several important related occult concepts. First, the eagle was originally drawn for the great seal as a phoenix bird. The eagle has represented the Aryan Hittites and the Tribe of Dan. The phoenix is very highly significant within the occult world, as it represents the Anti-Christ system arising out of the chaos of wars, revolution and anarchy. (p. 13) It literally represents no such thing, outside the claims of conspiracy theorists like these people.
It claims Doctor Josef Mengele was brought over in Operation Paperclip, where he practiced trauma-based mind control under the auspices of the CIA/Project Monarch. The book also claims that he "was very skilled in creating trauma bonds between himself and children" and he was an adept in Kabbalistic magic. (p.15, 23) Supposedly, he wore a Nazi uniform while working with the children. (p.39)
Actually, Josef Mengele went to South America and died in Brazil. His work with the Nazis had nothing to do with psychology, and most of his "experiments" were little more than torture for the sake of torture. The man was an evil clown, not an evil genius.
It claims that the System (Wheeler) was "designed to be part of the Anti-Christ’s elite imperial guard for the enthronement of the Anti-Christ in 2000." (p.17)
The book claims that part of Wheeler's torture included being violently assaulted by chimpanzees. (p. 21) I know I've said it before, but if Wheeler had actually been attacked by chimpanzees, she wouldn't have survived to co-write this book.
The book claims that the Illuminati is perpetuating mind control through things such as fluoride, artificial sweeteners, electromagnetic frequencies, subliminal messages, and implants - basically, all the usual suspects in conservative conspiracism. (p. 31)
On page 43, it claims that "Vice-President Al Gore is a vampire and carries a briefcase of blood with him." It also claims that among members of the Illuminati, "The last steps are to literally become vampires. The victims of sacrifice secrete enzymes as they look in terror at their last few minutes of life. Drinking their blood gives a high." It also claims that:
The Illuminati would gather for banquets. The men would wear tuxes, white tuxes, and there would be fine linen and gold or silver utensils (sometimes gold, other times silver). You might think that with all this refinement that a real banquet would be served. What was served at these meals was cannibalistic. They would devour the entire person’s body. They might spare the left hand to hold a candle though. At other times, they used the fat and skin of some sacrifices for further uses.
This is simply repackaged blood libel, and relates to the QAnon belief that "the elite" sacrifice innocent children to drink their adrenochrome.
The book claims that the Illuminati practices "twinning." Note that this is somewhat different from what Svali claims - the book claims that "all the Illuminati twins we know of were programmed to die if their twins were deprogrammed or if their twin would die." It also asserts that, "Although the world is not ready to believe this, Monarch twins are given occult training to communicate telepathically. Anything that affects one of the twins, has the potential to affect the other twin." (p.45)
The book claims that religions other than Christianity are "false": Recently, on television a show portrayed a village of women who have sex with males and then sacrifice them. The show was portraying by accident or secret design the ritual practice of the Mothers ofDarkness. The false gods of Babylon, India and Egypt had false trinities. The Mothers of Darkness alters are on pedestals and they have been taught that they are goddesses. On each pedestal is a trinity of3 Mother alters who spin together. One alter is the maiden, one is the mother, and the other is the old crone. The old crone is the wise one which lurks in the background. (p.57)
Oh, and the Illuminati is big into Kabbalah, the book claims: Our programmers were adepts at Caballistic magic. (p.57)
The book claims that the following can occur if "the mind-controlled slave steps out of line": Auditory problems, Blood flow/circulation, Digestive failure, Headachcs-split brain, Heart failure, Histamine production, Optic problems, Respiratory failure, Sleep deprivation, Sleeping program, and Temperature change. (p.67) Random Symptoms are a sign of SRA now.
The book claims that Druidism "takes a person into demonology. It is not a benign worship of nature." It also claims that "Halloween has come to us from the Druids. Halloween is Satan's birthday, and the Jack-o-lanterns are for his birthday. The Jack-o-lanterns are in the picture because they represent Satan's birthday." (p. 73)
In the book, Wheeler claims that "there is a strong jewish flavor to the conspiracy." Wheeler also claims that her family "had a generational occult background that stretched for centuries back into antiquity." (p.83)
It also claims: David Carrico wrote an excellent book recently that does a survey of Satanic rituals today and shows that there is a one-to-one correspondence between SRA (Satanic Ritual Abuse) and the Egyptian Book of the Dead (Pert Em Hru). (p.92) I really hope I shouldn't have to elaborate on why "the Book of the Dead is about SRA, Actually" is complete bullshit.
The book claims that ancient Romans were satanists: Both Sun worship and Saturn worship are linked to Satan worship. Upon close examination Saturn and Sun worship are but fronts for Satan worship. The occult world knows this, but outside of the occult world it remains a secret to many. Rome was the City ofSaturn. Rome has been an important center for satanism and its mystery religions for many centuries. (p.97)
So yeah, this whole thing about cults intentionally giving people DID and stuff? Goes back to people like this. It's all a big shitty conspiracy meant to demonize anyone who wasn't a conservative Christian and scare anyone who already is one into remaining so. Don't try to rehabilitate this crap, because crap is literally all it is.

I would actually suggest that if you are not Jewish, don't have any Jews in your life, and are not intending on converting/are not even remotely interested, that you not look into Jewish angelic imagery and symbolism. You're just not gonna understand. You won't. You won't be able to engage with it in any meaningful way because it is intrinsically a part of Kabbalistic ritual, which is protected practice WITHIN our own Closed Religion that has been straight up appropriated into New Age Spirituality. You are not going to have the understanding necessary to pick apart what is appropriated and what is true to Us. The misinformation peddled by goy (Christian) witches is so vast that we often get corrected on our own practices by people who don't even understand Hebrew.
Just leave our shit alone. Go do your own thing. I've heard some shit is going down in the old world of fae in Ireland, that seems tight as fuck and a lot more comprehensible than thousands of years of our antisemitism-caked spiritual practices.
I won't blame goyim for calling them "biblically accurate angels" because that's the term that most of the internet uses. but it's really incorrect and you probably shouldn't use it.
the most outlandish and crazy depictions of angels that you probably see the most as "biblically accurate angels" are the depictions from the book of Ezekiel. the ones with flames and eyes and animal heads and basically not resembling a human form at all.
but these angels are not from the bible. they're from the Tanakh. the Tanakh came first, and the bible followed. Judaism came first and christianity followed.
I really hate how people have turned the angels that appear in a book that's part of the Tanakh into "christian cryptids". they aren't a xian creation. they're a part of Jewish lore and angelology. so maybe don't call them something that implies they're from a xian text. because they aren't. those types of angels don't appear in the xian bible, and even if they did, they were a part of Judaism long before xianity was invented.
again, I'm not blaming you if you didn't know. if this is your first time hearing about this, I'm glad I taught you something new. I would suggest simply calling those angels by their names, seraphim and cherubim and ophanim. and if you want to learn more, try looking into Jewish angelology.

Podcast Transcript - Warning Against Manifestation in LOTR

Podcast Transcript - Warning Against Manifestation in LOTR
Audio and Show Notes 0:00:23 This is going to be the fourth episode in the little mini-series that revolves entirely around the concept of the secret, law of attraction, creative thought. And I had forgotten one of the other terms for it. I just came across it again, manifestation. I said I would do four to five of them. This is now the fourth and, yes, might be the last one. Maybe I will still have enough for a fifth one or so. 0:01:02 So, as you read in the title for this, are there warnings in the “Lord of the Rings,” against manifestation, the secret, and the law of attraction? I mean, when was that book written? What does that have to do with this subject? This occult, secretive, esoteric, Masonic, and yet also still possibly biblical through the Kabbalistic teachings. How does the Lord of the Rings pertain to this? 0:01:38 Now, I am not going to sit here and argue about how, I guess, Catholic J.R.R Tolkien was. I do not know. I know he was. I do not know how deeply that transferred or how much of that exists. Obviously, the story of good and evil in the Lord of the Rings has been interpreted as a very loose Christian story. The “Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe,” or the works of C.S. Lewis, have been more attributed to Christianity and Christian teaching, but J.R.R Tolkien was also Catholic and obviously his religion must have influenced his writing. I do not know to what degree. I am also not saying that he purposefully wrote this in his book. Obviously, the way the mind works, we tend to look for things in that which we experience as a reflection of that which dwells inside of our own mind. So, the mystery of the microcosm and the macrocosm: that which is within is seen without and that which is seen without is seen within. And the depth that one can see and achieve or experience this of course is what the practice of meditation, understanding the mysteries, everything that I am talking about on my podcast is all about. Again, I am not trying to say that this is something that J.R.R Tolkien wrote in the Lord of the Rings. This is just what I saw and interpreted in it recently because I recently read the “Hobbit,” to my daughters and we watched the movies, and I started reading the Lord of the Rings to my older one. 0:03:42 We are talking about manifestation, the secret, law of attraction, those type of formerly occult, secret teachings. But, given the Internet and access to the world's information, it makes these types of teachings readily available to anybody with an interest. The same as this podcast for you that are listening to this. Current technology allows anybody to have access to any information that they are interested in in some way, shape, or form. So let me try and paint the image of this because in thinking about why the hobbits, for instance, can withstand the power and the overpowering influence of the ring and all else are incapable of it . . . I mean, obviously, and maybe it has been a long time, so at this point, Galadriel is able to overcome the temptation of the ring and Aragorn is able to avoid the temptation of it. Obviously, that is the “Fellowship of the Ring.” That Boromir falls to it. Gandalf does not take it as well, even though Frodo is trying to give it to him. But the hobbits represent the complete antithesis to Sauron. 0:05:21 Now you must have read the Hobbit and at least meditated on what Thorin Oakenshield tells Bilbo at the end. It is one of the best lines in the book of, “If only more people cared about home, the way that you do, there would be no need for these wars.” Right? Or something like that. I cannot remember the exact verbiage, but it is something in that order that Bilbo reflects to Thorin. And if we are talking about, are there warnings to manifestation, the secret, and the law of attraction in the Lord of the Rings, then who represents that? Obviously, Sauron does. So now listen to the verbiage in this and hopefully, you will be able to unpack in your own mind from the previous three episodes about the danger of manifestation, the secret, and the law of attraction type of imaginative thought processes to create in existence. Sauron desires the one ring. 0:06:38 Sauron has poured all of himself into the one ring. Sauron has all his thoughts and mind searching for the ring. Sauron needs the ring to re-manifest. Sauron only wants the ring. That is his greatest desire and that is what his entire focus is on. Now, obviously, once you get to the further stories it is he wants to rule Middle Earth and blah blah blah, but the main thrust of his character is the ring. 0:07:26 Now, if you have read the “Silmarillion,” you will know that Sauron is kind of like lieutenant. There is the Devil-like creature, Devil-like being, the parallel to the Devil that Tolkien created in the Middle Earth world and idea. His name was Morgoth. He is the one that the Balrogs serve. So, he is even greater than the Balrogs. Right? And so, he is the one that corrupts Sauron because they were all elves. Again, it is the same idea as angel/demon. They were all elves, and he was corrupted. He wanted to be like the God figure in the Lord of the Rings world, and so he attempts to create as well. 0:08:19 So again, this is the weird thing about gnostic stuff. I do not think . . . I would have to double check because the Nag Hammadi library was discovered in the forties, but it was not translated for several more years after that. I cannot remember the exact time when a copy of it was now available. Now obviously Tolkien, because he was a linguist, he probably . . . if it were available in a time when he was still alive, he would have been one of those early persons to have been able to read it in whatever translation it was in since I think the guy knew, like, eleven languages or something like that. And he obviously invented orcish, elvish, and, you know, all these other languages in his book. 0:09:03 But the parallel in the gnostic story behind Sofia where she wanted to create or she wanted to do something in that order and she is responsible for the creation of this fallen world because she created without her pair is what it says, her other half. And there are a lot of esoteric meanings to that as well of what is that other half. So, if Tolkien did not read the gnostic texts that were found at Nag Hammadi, because there were a few gnostic texts prior to that that could be termed gnostic, especially the Pistis Sophia. I am sure that one was like the late eighteen hundred or so. I cannot remember if there was a translation to that when Tolkien was writing the Lord of the Rings or not. But I am just saying, if he did not read those texts and had zero knowledge of these various myths, then the way he wrote his character, his characters, is just eerie in how similar it is, is what I am trying to get at. 0:10:13 That these same themes . . . the more you investigate these ancient texts and then just travel through time, you just continue to come across the same underlying theme, much like how I have shown the same symbol for what is seen in the Beatific vision, mystical, religious experience. The same themes occur. So, in this, it is a being that was created by the creator that desires to be equal to the creator and corrupts with his own creation or something of that order. 0:10:57 I am trying to remember the opening in the song of Iluvitar when Morgoth corrupts everything. I cannot remember exactly what he does. Something like he put some bad notes into the music or something like that. I cannot remember exactly. It has been a while since I read that. So, I am really drawing from some deep memory on the Silmarillion right now. 0:11:16 Anyways, Sauron and his desire for the ring represents what we are talking about with manifestation, the secret, and the law of attraction. Because his mind is on it to bring it to the surface so that he and or his agents find it. He is trying to bring it into reality, through thought alone. And any that come across it can become corrupted by it. So, the Nazgul right? All the men that came across it instantly were corrupted by it, it seems. The dwarves, you never really hear what happened to them, but I think, what was it? Thorin's dad or grandfather one of them that had the ring went crazy from it? So, it corrupts. 0:12:09 Now, how does that translate to what we are talking about here? Putting all your mind like that to manifest something into reality means that you are attempting to equate yourself to the creator himself. That by your thought, imagination, and focus, it will come to pass. This is control. This is an attempt at controlling God, is what it is. Where the traditional Biblical teaching is surrender to the Will of God, surrendering to the power of God. God will do these things automatically is more how it is presented. All you must do is love and trust and have faith. Much different versus forcibly trying to be the mage that creatively thinks things into existence. Your choice and decision on whether that is lawful or not. I will leave you with that. I did not think I was going to go this long on this one. So, in the next one I will explore the ancient myths that warn about this as well. And even Star Wars although Star Wars should be easy for any modern person. So, I will leave you with this. Until next time. Read the full article
