Does the Witch Doctor in Africa countries make Kabbalistic Pacts with the Devil like in Haitian Voodoo and Jamaican Obeah?
They most certainly do not make Kabbalistic Pacts with the Devil which is a Judeo Christian Islamic concept, which they were not, African priest and priestess doubled as healers both spiritual and physical , they understand there is a duality in nature as in the spiritual worlds one can tap into , eg Horus cannot exist without his polar opposite Set.
Now that said there are areas where both the Christian concepts became entwined with African religious concepts as in the cross roads and Papa Legba.
Because slave owners were worried about potential rebellion, they often separated enslaved people from the same area.
By mixing people from different regions and language groups, they could use the communication barrier to discourage or even prevent revolt. However, many of the deities were similar, and so enslaved people from different parts of Africa soon found commonalities in their spiritual beliefs and practices, which they were forced to keep hidden.
Papa Legba soon found a home in the religious structures of enslaved people in Haiti and the Caribbean, as well as in the American colonies. Author Denise Alvarado says Legba:
...stands at a spiritual crossroads and grants or denies permission to speak with the spirits of Guinee, and is believed to speak all human languages. He is always the first, and the last spirit invoked in any ceremony because his permission is needed for any communication between mortals and the loa—he opens and closes the doorway to the spirit world.
Over time, after African syncretic practices blended with Catholicism in the new world, Legba became associated with several saints, including Saint Peter, Saint Anthony, and Saint Lazarus.
In the Haitian religion of Vodou, Legba is seen as the intermediary between mortal men and the loa, or lwa. The loa are a group of spirits responsible for various aspects of daily life, and they are the children of a supreme creator, Bondye. They are divided into families, such as the Ghede and Ogou, and practitioners develop relationships with them through offerings, petitions, and prayers. Often, Papa Legba is the one who carries these prayers to the loa.
Note the cross roads would later become associated with the devil in this religious synchronism.
Tumblr media

Legba has evolved in numerous ways from his origins in Africa, where he is sometimes viewed as a fertility god or a trickster; he many be depicted as both male and female, sometimes with a large erect phallus. In other areas, he is a protector of children or a healer, and can grant forgiveness for crimes against others. Variants of Legba exist in many places including Brazil, Trinidad, and Cuba.
Papa Legba appears in many forms in New Orleans Voodoo and Haitian Vodou. He is typically depicted as an older man, sometimes wearing a straw hat or old tattered clothing, walking with a cane, and accompanied by a dog. He's associated with the colors black and red.
Legba is strongly associated with crossroads magic, and is referenced in a number of early twentieth-century blues tunes from the area of the Mississippi Delta. Famed bluesman Robert Johnson is said to have met a spirit at the crossroads, and offered him his soul in exchange for musical success. Although eventually the story was twisted to say Johnson met the Devil, musical folklorists believe that tale is rooted in racist ideology; instead, Johnson met Legba at the crossroads, where he had gone seeking guidance and wisdom.
Papa Legba is a master communicator, who is said to speak the languages of all human beings; he then translates petitions and delivers them to the loa. He is a teacher and warrior, but also a trickster deity. Legba is a remover of obstacles, and can be consulted to help find new, positive opportunities, thanks to his ability to open doors and new roads
Tumblr media
Legba represents a West African and Caribbean Voodoo god. This god has many different names depending on the region in which he is worshipped is most commonly known in Haiti as Papa Legba. Papa Legba serves as the guardian of the Poto Mitan--the center of power and support in the home. Additionally, he allows for communication between humans and the spirit world. According to West African Voodoo practices, spirits of the dead are not able to inhabit one's body unless permitted by Papa Legba. The symbol for Legba typically has a red background, one of his representative colors. The symbol includes several keys which signify Legba's control over communications and forms of passage, including locks, gates, and passageways;it also includes a cane, as Papa Legba is generally depicted as an old and feeble man in the Haitian religion. There are many chants to summon Papa Legba, one of which is: Papa Legba, Open the gate for me/Atibon Legba, Open the gate for me/Open the gate for me/Papa that I may pass/When I return I will thank the Lwa.

GYE NYAME - Supremacy of God
Tumblr media
Gye Nyame, meaning “except for God,” symbolizes God’s omnipotence through the knowledge that people should not fear anything except for God. Another interpretation of “except for God” is that no one has seen the beginning of all creations, nor will anyone live to see the end, except for God. Gye Nyame indicates the recognition of the supremacy of God over all beings, and therefore is the one that is feared and revered by all. This is one of the many Adinkra symbols of West Africa, Ghana, and is used by the Akan people in various decorations, clothing, and artwork. Some say that the symbol represents a spiral galaxy, or two hands with different gestures that refer to God being supreme to the simplistic ideals of male and female identifications that are used today. The use of this symbol by the Akan people suggests that the Akan had a highly advanced writing language that transmitted religious and cultural concepts, and also might have had a somewhat extensive knowledge of astronomy, which shows their intellect and indicates that the Akan were a more advanced civilization.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nkisi Sarabanda, symbolizing the signature of the spirit, is a representation of a bakongo cosmogram. This symbol portrays how the Congo-angolan people viewed the interaction between the spiritual and material world, or in other words between the living and the dead;the Congo-angolan people believe that these worlds are inherently intertwined. An Nkisi is a spiritual object used for worship purposes, and have been found in places where enslaved Africans have lived in, such as in the plantation homes. Nkisis show the development of African American culture in how they are essentially African objects, but are constructed through American materials. This also reveals an aspect of the melting pot of African and American culture. Sarabanda just connotes "the highest spirit". Part of the symbol takes the form of a cross, because the Congolese had an inclination towards Christianity. Communication appears to take place at the center of the cross, where the worlds intersect, and it was believed that spirits sat at the center of the sign. The arrows represent the four winds of the universe, and the symbol as a whole resembles the form of a spiral galaxy;this indicates their interest in astronomy and affinity towards nature.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nsoromma, meaning "children of the heavens" or "star," symbolizes the guardianship of God and how he watches over all beings. It is one of the many Adinkra symbols that the Ghanaian people have lived by. The protection of God is constant, like the stars in the universe. The stars also embody light, with the vision of light slicing through darkness as a savior, or protector. The symbol indicates the existence of the spiritual world, in which our ancestors and past families exist and watch over us, creating a feeling of safety and wholeness. Nsoromma expresses the message to live life to its fullest knowing that you are supported and strengthened by God.

Divinity of Mother Earth
Asase Ye Duru—literally meaning “the earth has no weight”—is a symbol that represents power, providence and divinity. The symbol is one of many adinkras, or depictions of important concepts created by the Akan peoples of Ghana. Asase Ye Duru emphasizes the importance of the Earth and its preservation. People must respect and nurture the Earth, and should never act in ways that might directly or indirectly harm the Earth. The significance of the Earth to the people of Ghana is evident in the following proverbs: Tumi nyina ne asase, meaning All power emanates from the earth; and Asase ye duru sen epo, meaning The earth is heavier than the sea. The African Burial Ground honors these principles, as it surrounds itself with natural resources and emphasizes the cohesion of death and nature.

Must Tyler Perry hire new writers? 🎬 The reviews are in, and Tyler Perry is facing backlash for his continued lack of creativity and perpetuation of stereotypes about Black people. re: that contrapoints tweet, i've only encountered the word 'hotep' online in the context of black folks memeing about each other. i was wondering how appropriate/inappropriate the term is for white people to toss around, if you feel like sharing your thoughts on it. i err on the side of caution but i realized i have no irl experience with it. please ignore if you don't want to get into it!
I gotchu.
Hoteps are the Living Single to QAnon's Friends. Dr. Umar, their Alex Jones. It's an umbrella term for the pseudospiritual panafrican philosophy that compels you to wear wooden bead necklaces and have REALLY iffy opinions about jewish people. Essentially afro-neo-paganism
In-group, though, it's basically how black people call each other woke(pejorative). I would recommend you not do that, though.
for a semi-relevant example:
Drake tried to insinuate a bit of that when he accused Kendrick of 'trying to free the slaves', and Kendrick responded appropriately.
Tumblr media
Leaning fully into the voice, going, "Oh, you wanna see a Hotep?", and then relating his hotep-speak to actual, tangible grievances with Drake's conduct.
I won't do that though. I'll just sock you in ya shit.

Peace and Love, Black Family! Don’t be fooled by Florida’s beautiful beaches and tropical 🌴weather! Florida has always been a runaway State for all types of people looking to get away from SOMETHING! Many have come to Florida from all races and backgrounds to make this State what it is. However, Governor Ron DeSantis is seeking to turn Florida into a slave State right before our eyes. By attempting to ban conscious thought and conscientious objection across the board. After the well-organized Black Lives Matter hype died down and numerous Statewide protests of police brutality, inequality, and racism were disbanded, it became his mission to set up reinforcements to prevent any form of “wokeness” from being taught in schools/universities or shared publicly in the workplace. What he is saying is that he wants to silence Black consciousness by cutting off the spread of such information by manipulation of the law. As governor, he is aggressively seeking to make Florida an anti-CRT State on all levels of education and society. Though his “Stop Woke Act” was banned, he will not stop! What is his problem with teaching TRUTH? Critical Race Theory speaks to the very core of who, what, where, when, how, and why the United States of AmeriKKKa is unequal in its treatment of African descendants from its establishment to the present day! Yet, he wants to paint the picture that Florida is this welcoming melting pot! Don’t be fooled Black Family! Ron DeSantis is one of 49 other plantation owners (governors) in charge of 3.381 million African descendants (according to the 2020 US Census) and wants to silence the TRUTH about the EVIL THAT MADE AMERIKKKA GREAT, period! Went to one of Europe‘s biggest Pride events last week (over a million attendants!).
And sure, there was pinkwashing and floats for stupid political parties, for the cops and the military (gross). Lot of corporate bullshit, including one of the country’s worst newspaper. I wish it had been a more political event and that more thought had been put in who to exclude.
But there was also delight and joy and people in crazy outfits kissing without fear on the street. I saw trans youngsters proudly showing off their top surgery scars. Drag queens valiantly trekking on for miles in killer heels and stunning outfits. Furries braving the extreme heat in full fursuits. The blandest looking man on Earth displaying his skill with whips to raucous applause from the crowd. A huge block of puppy kinksters dancing to the beat from their truck. A panafrican block of black queers using the street as their catwalk. 60y olds leather daddies in assless chaps. Excited teens in progress pride capes with their parents. Nipples and tits and asses galore from people of all ages and all body types. A great sense of kinship from dancing off with the people on the floats, sending them kisses and hearts. It wasn’t just a huge street party to me, it was safety, elation, victory.
As terrified and saddened I get when I see the direction bodily autonomy and queer rights are taking in the last years, especially in the US, that kind of day was a balm for the soul and gave me energy to keep on fighting. Over a million people, gathered to celebrate their sexuality, bodies and identities. Sometimes some things do evolve for the better, and it feels so good to celebrate the wins.

Doubling Back...
So somehow Tumblr deleted my previous account. For what reason? I'm not quite sure. I posted some content on what was going on in #Gaza and my issue with Israel and the children they were "un-aliving" over there even as we speak or my voice on #Panafricanism. Anyway. I'm still going to speak on things near and dear to me. As a writer, I must.
But I'm back. Using this platform as a tool to break out of my shell, my beef with social media, my silence, and get back to Poetry. Here I will express random thoughts, love, passion, ideas, spirituality, my journey, and much more. And maybe even learn from some of you or someTHING out there.

Sons Of Pharaohs in Modern Afrika!
youtube
Greetings people, hope everyone's well. Just sharing a new video from brother Kamji, getting into more evidence that West Africans descend *primarily* from Ancient Kemetyu.
I like that right at the start he clarifies that when it comes to classical Afrikan history, we see "countless intra-continental diasporas." Kamji will be coming on my channel again this Friday for more on this. Learning this stuff is confirming something that I've long thought - that our current ethnic identities are very, very new and that we should not hold too tightly to them. We have a long, intricate history of continental inter-connection. All of our ethnic groups derive from older social groups going back 10s of thousands of years. Kemet itself was populated by groups in the Hapi (Nile) river valley, who themselves descended from groups that resided in the Sahel/Chadian/Sudanic area, etc. I feel that we all need to have a good basic grasp of this classical African history. As we do, we will understand our modern Panafricanism to be an act of returning to our roots (Sankofa).

Julius Kambarage Nyerere, also called Mwalimu (Swahili: “teacher”), Nyerere was also the major force behind The Organization of African Unity (OAU; now The African Union). His thoughts, essays, and speeches are collected in his books, Uhuru na Umoja (1967; Freedom and Unity), Uhuru na Ujamaa (1968; Freedom and Socialism), and Uhuru na Maendeleo (1973; Freedom and Development). A committed Pan-Africanist, Nyerere provided a home for a number of African liberation movements including the African National Congress (ANC) and the Pan African Congress (PAC) of South Africa. Mwalimu is one of Africa’s most respected figures. He had a vision of education that was rich with possibility. #president #mwalimu #juliusnyerere #kambarage #africa #panafrican #eastafrica #panafricanism #eastafrican #tanzania #kenya #uganda #ethiopia #travel #rwanda #daressalaam #habesha #nairobi #zanzibar #africandiaspora #africanhistory #nyerere https://www.instagram.com/p/CoHdpq3rGkH/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Afro-Existentialism and Afro-Anarchism: A Brief Exposition
***
Afro Existentialism:
I argue existentialism is the centrifugal philosophy in the Black plight. Existentialism, in layman’s terms, is the recognition of life’s inability to provide any objective value with the consequent result of an individual being responsible for one’s agency. This agency is a direct scream the face of an unforgiving universe which refuses to provide meaning beyond whatever meaning we subjectively apply to it.
The Maafa (Atlantic Slave Trade) and the subsequent generational trauma is the most personal and visceral example of stripped agency I can provide. Even the violent crimes so stereotypically attributed to my tribe can be traced back to a sense of lost agency. For instance, it is the commonly accepted belief in the psychological community that violent attacks generally stem from the perpetrator attempting to reconcile their sense of lost control by exerting control over another. What is control but another word for agency?
Afro-Anarchism:
Anarchism, in its most simple terms, is the recognition of one’s agency in negation to the reality around oneself and the refusal to exalt anything outside of one’s subjective reality above the recognized self. Consequently, anarchism is the natural extension and political praxis of existentialism. I argue that anarchism complements the plight of the Black Amerikan perfectly. Too often are we, as Black Amerikans, told what would the ‘Black’ political preference be. Black entrepreneurs argue that conservatism is the ‘Blackest’ of politics because it harkens back to the wealth-centric ideologies of Mansa Musa of the Mali Empire. Black revolutionaries say communism is the ‘Blackest’ political ideology because the tribes of the Yoruba and most successful Afrikan decolonization campaigns were Socialist or Communist in political ideology.
I argue that being told what would be considered the ‘Black’ thing to do is another form of agency deprivation. By telling another what they should do and how they should feel is by default deciding that your agency is more prominent than the others. The philosophical and cultural plights of my tribe tend to get lost in political grandstanding as a result. I argue that the Black Amerikan’s only obligation is to realize their godhood and decide for themselves what philosophical path to pursue. Ironic, I know, as telling somebody to think for themselves could also be viewed as a form of forced agency and thus, by some roundabout fashion, another form of stripped agency. However, I believe that Afro-Anarchism is a necessary starting point for the self-aware Black Amerikan, with every other choice afterward being resultant of personal agency and not of greater tribal pressure.

Integration wasn't just about Black people entering White Spaces, it's also about Black People adopting & internalizing White Values & World Views (with greater intensity).🫂
Whites had always sought to indoctrinate Black People, but Pre-Integration indoctrination was all about ingraingin submission & servitude. But after Integration the White Elites knew Black People would have access to positions of (potential) Power. There would be more Black CEOs, Black University Students, Black Professors, Black Directors, Black Millionaires, Elected Officials, even Black Presidents & Vice Presidents.🧑🏿‍🎓
These "Successful" Blacks needed a slightly different form of indoctrination. They needed to be so deeply Indoctrinated that they couldn't distinguish their own thoughts, ideas, values, interest, & agendas from those of the Oppressor's.👮🏿
The Post-Integration Indoctrination was so thorough & successful that it has engulfed not only the Black Elites, but the Black Masses, & tragically the African-Centered, Black Militant, & Woke members of our community. (The Black 10%ers, the 85ers, & the 5%ers)👩🏿‍🔧
Everyday I see Black People who swear they are against the System, that swear they want Black Power & Black Liberation, embrace & advocate for the most Regressive & Reactionary White Policies & Values. They constantly regurgitate Far-Right talking points. They fully embrace Capitalist Accumulation as a virtue unto itself. While proclaiming their (White) Sucesses to be evidence of Black Excellence.🤦🏿‍♂️
This is why Revolution is above all an intellectual endeavor. If our Analysis, Values, & Ideologies aren't sufficiently conceived & constructed all the Success & Resources that come to Black People will only strengthen the Status Quo while we continue to collectively languish under Oppression & Genocide.🧠

"Love has no color; Love is Love, You're/This is Racist, This is ignorant, Black People are so racist, If a "W woman" said you shouldn't date Black Men I bet they'd be offended." At the end of the day, I said what I said Black Boys/Men don't go dating/making babies with those "W Women." If you're offended, oh well, Saying Love has no color, love is love, that I'm a racist, that what I said is ignorant doesn't bother me one millimeter, and definitely saying if a "W Woman" said not to date Black Men wouldn't offend me. I'd be in full story stay away from those devils and leave her be, no "W", "Ashaun" or Non-Black Woman can love you the way a Black Woman can or will love you, support the way she is support to support you. Their lust and fetish for you will never outweigh love because they're incapable of loving you. Many Non-Black Women and Ashaun Women hate for Black Women are rooted in Anti-Black speech/actions and colorist, but they will sleep with Black Women while hating the Black Woman. In "Spanic" culture, they encourage dating/having babies with someone of lighter skin to be close to white as possible. Ashaun culture like "W" culture has perpetuated by negative stereotypes of Black people within their media, even going as far to wear Blackface. "W Women" will call you ni**er say you raped/hit/robbed her, or any lie then have you killed meanwhile turn back around and sleep with the same Black Man. "W Women" tan, inject their bodies with botox, get surgery to mimic the same Black Women they hate. They've been Blackfishing which is a modern-day Blackface without the paint but instead tanning, changing their hairstyle to emulate that of a Biracial woman hair texture to pass as Black. This idea that Biracial people are Black is how they're sneaking into our community. They'll pretend to be Black, sleep with as many Black Men as possible, then go back to their Whte community as if nothing happened at all. They don't love you Black Men love isn't love; love does have a color because you see color before you approach a person you see them. You see their skin, you see their body type, and at that moment, you make the conscious decision to either talk or ignore them. If I'm ignorant or racist, that's your opinion, and that opinion of me doesn't matter; if you think Black People are racist, you clearly don't understand racism or whte aggression. "W Women" were part of the KKK had their own chapter within it, known Eugenics Margaret Sanger, the creator of Planned Parenthood who thought of Black People as weeds to be plucked and killed without mercy was part of the Whte Womans KKK chapter. The media, which has a hand in this propaganda, has been trying to push this idea of IR or swirling as it's being dubbed through movies, tv shows, and commercials, even going as far to make the Black Man's partner a "W Man" instead. I should mention this as well because I do not condone any form of Swirling, whether it be a Black Man "W Woman," Black Woman "W man," or whatever. I'm strictly for a Black Love & Black Power only, so if anyone has an issue with that, oh well. If your partner isn't Black, put it back; they are wack; you can hehe at what I'm saying all you want as well, but deep down, you know the truth. #Repost #justsaynotointerracial #criticalracefacts #saynotointerracial #criticalracehistory #CriticalRaceTheory #criticalracefact #panafrican #BuckBreaking #blacklove #problack

Peace and Love, Black Family! Superficially, community “activism” looks good for optics! Feeding the homeless, protesting for injustice, filing petitions, and so on is great when you want people to point and say, “______ is out here in the community doing this or that!” But what we as Afrikans MUST change is our THOUGHT PROCESS—FIRST & FOREMOST! Without changing our thoughts we remain in the same position as our ancestors. Surely, we need to be active in the community, but without changing our ideology, our community activism is just going along with the traditional Black Activist minstrel show! GET ON CODE.
