its kinda crazy to me how many people i seen call kab manipulative and treating it was entirely malicious in its intent, yet i see very few people pointing out that derap is also. being manipulative and expecting so much of the people he trusts— like "trust me or you just die" is such an insane test to do and its crazy bc i do nawt believe he'd react well if pangi or zam or whoever tested him like he tests them constantly

im not saying kab isnt manipulative or that shes faultless bc she has done a lot wrong and a lot to hurt the people around her— esp zam. but its interesting bc her and derap just dont seem to be held to the same standards by the wider fandom even though they both seem to default to manipulation and attempted control so they feel secure w their friends and allies.

it isnt done w malicious intent, but they are still hurting the people around them and expecting far too much from the people theyve latched onto. they dont seem to understand unconditional loyalty is something that doesnt ACTUALLY exist, and it is not the exact same as having a friend u know u can rely on consistently no matter what. even having a friendship like mapicc and zam, mapicc and ro, vi and subz, or any of the likes ISNT abt never disagreeing or never acting against them in any situation ever.

its trust built over time and from experiencing lifesteal together. its about winning together, losing together, fighting side by side, and knowing when to stand up for urself and to fight against them if they are doing smt that truly hurts u and/or goes directly against your own morals and beliefs. it isnt abt "youll trust me no matter what and just accept it even if im doing smt i know will upset u", its abt knowing that u can still be friends at the end of the day. that, come a new season, or a new arc, they are still someone u can have fun w and rely on to continue to be themselves w you.

their attempts to force a bond like that will only hurt themselves and their relationship w the people around them in the long run, but i feel like this is a lesson theyll need to learn w time and by experiencing it themselves bc theyre too lonely and desperate to be by someones side currently to realize it yet.

edit : had a funny realization that there is ONE relationship on the server that seems to be exactly what kab and derap are searching for, and its mane and flame. they want and expect the same loyalty from their teammate that flame has for mane. flame goes directly against his own morals and and beliefs bc mane asks it of him, and passively follows down manes path of destruction simply bc theyre teammates. he doesnt even think mane is right, but that doesnt matter simply bc the only thing he cares abt on LS is mane. he likes other people like pangi, pentar, and zam but he would kill just abt anyone if it was part of manes plan simply bc he has no path of his own— he hasnt found himself yet, so hes following mane nd his ideals.

Vodwatching yesterdays session from Kab’s perspective was so interesting because we don’t often see Kab and Clown interact on Lifesteal

What struck me the most was Kab’s dm to Clown ‘dont sacrifice yourself for them’, ‘they aren’t worth it’

It implies that Kab values Clown life over killing Mane which is crazy because she’s wanted him dead for months now, and shes asked for Clowns help with dealing with him before.

But “they” can be interpreted in two different ways: the Empire and the Blindfold bandits.

Don’t sacrifice yourself for the empire, helping them isn’t worth your life (It’s in a sort of superior way, like your life is more valuable than theirs, save yourself and get away before you die too)

or

Don’t sacrifice yourself for the empire, killing mane isn’t worth your life (In a concern type of way, I want to see you live more than I want to see Mane die)

The difference is very minimal but it speaks to how she views Clown, and either way the message remains the same - get out of there before you die like Zam.

Like it’s a small over minecraft chat interaction but it goes to show how much Kab cares and trusts Clown and gives insight into why she was so insistent that Clown would always have her back even when he wasn’t active on the sever. It’s obvious she cares for him a lot otherwise she wouldn’t have willingly sacrificed the opportunity to kill Mane out of concern for his life.

Question is, is it reciprocated? Kab obviously carries that strong bond she and Clown has into Lifesteal, and I would’ve expected Clown to not do the same so its surprising when earlier in the stream he straight up reveals his big plan to 1v3 them to her since he didn’t have anything to gain by telling her that. But ended up benefitting anyway since Kab offers to strike a deal with Sb for some god apples.

This entire conversation, they acted more like teammates than anything because they just have a weird almost unconditional trust in each other that doesn’t come with being just allies, which is important since we know that Clown is very willing to team with kab “once she proves herself”.

The notch apple thing also made me realise that Kab has a weird thing with helping people. She generally asks if she can help a lot (twice to clown in just one stream, and all those times shes asked Zam) and it’s such a striking difference how she treats Clown compared to how she treats Zam, who she imposes her help on, as opposed to Clown who she offers it to. Especially since she wants Zam to fufill that role of her protector that Clown is usually in.

Quick dump of my contributions to Lifestealtober so far (I am behinddd)

thinking about kab and the thing about her i think is she knows just enough to keep herself safe Generally but not enough to really predict what would happen should something more... complicated??? unforeseen??? idk whats the right word to use but something not covered by someones reputation and/or vids happen, believe it or not this also affects her view of clownpierce (we'll get to that)

for example, mapicc has a reputation for being an violent, angry, & impulsive guy and nothing else which makes sense but is incredibly surface level and something that only really works if you dont have a lot of experience working with him

another is reddoons, his betrayal after the base incident while shocking is not unforeseen but his reputation as being a guy whos seen as being a reasonable person whos fairly loyal to his team made it seem like something he wouldnt do even tho it absolutely is

regarding how it affects her view of clown, since he isnt perfectly aligned with his reputation she instead pivots in the complete opposite direction and forgiving basically every crime he does even tho hes something much more mild and complicated than either his reputation or her view of him will ever be (think madonna-whore complex which is especially obvious when it comes to kabs vs woogies view of him)

another side effect of this Just Enough amount of knowledge aside from being blinded by her own expectations is that it frustrates ppl who think shes oversimplificating things (like me and seemingly several other tumblr users as well) especially when she claims that shes objectively correct and the smartest in the room at any given moment

how this roughness in her analysis affects her in the server still has yet to be fully seen but we do still have at least a couple months until the end but 'til then shes just gonna keep stumbling as more and more complicated situations pop up as is typical in lifesteal to happen and eventually shes gonna have to learn to adapt or else she'll be suffering the consequences one way or another

So guys... Kazam and KillerBunnies were both doomed from the start.

I feel like no one ever talks about how similar yet different they are. Clown is much more closed off than Zam is, His actions speaks louder than words and that's why Kab trusted him until Manepear showed the chats because Kab thought that Clown was the type of person to be rational, thinking that Clown has no reason to betray her. But that's the thing with Zam, he comforts Kab, he's there when she's on the lowest part of her life but it feels backhanded because Zam never lets her forget that even if their Goal aligns at times, they will always be different, Zam will always see his reflection OF her when he looks at the mirror because deep inside maybe that's the person he wants to be, to be able to express freely. It's like telling someone that you will BETRAY them if you have to, and that's fine because Zam nor Kab don't owe each other anything but caring isn't enough when you make it known you will never be able to stand on the same side regardless of how broken and desperate you both are for a happy ending.

For me, Zam and Clown are both logical. Clown cares for Kaboodle but it isn't enough for him to try, he doesn't comfort, he gives advice, he teaches her to be self-sufficient because that's the person he wants her to be. Meanwhile Zam is more logical and cares for Kaboodle yet it also isn't enough for him to show it properly, to simply put it, their ways of showing it is both flawed. Zam is the person that Kab thought she wanted in her life because he's different from Clown, the polar opposite, but it won't ever change the fact that she'll always be disposable when the time comes.

They are similar in a way that they care, but it isn't enough to sacrifice themselves for the people they love. They care but they are detached.

To be fair Kab has also done some shit, sometimes people just simply aren't ride or die like her, they don't commit because they're afraid of weakness and maybe that's what Clown feared, that She would be seen as a weakness to him to the other players because if he shows it then people will target her, right? But that's the thing with Kab, her love is pure and she gives the vibes of a villain who would burn down the entire world for you, while Zam is like the hero who would sacrifice you to save the city.

She doesn't need anyone to die for her because she'd gladly die for them because she thinks that it's the only thing she can ever give them, because she can't fight their battles, no? All she can really do is give someone her heart and hope they don't crush it when they find out how much she is. Life steal Kaboodle was just doomed from the start because she cared too much.

But that's the problem, isn't it? If she never cared, she would become someone to be hated, if she cared she would be seen as a weakness, an obstacle in their goals, and that's what makes her so doomed, for me, at least.

Unfortunately, the first step to loving someone is to love yourself.

A WANDERING NIGHTMARE.

"The worst verse to find."

Somehow it's deemed one of the worst places to be out of the multiverse, according to the Rovers.

What are the Rovers? In short, multiverse travelers. In long, that's for another post.

What is Wandering? Why a Wandering nightmare? That's also for another post!

It started off a normal smp, it was normal for years. People lived their lives, growing up, getting out of their houses, finding people to live with. We mostly see the world from Wemmbu's perspective.

Wemmbu meets someone named PrinceZam, the two team up! They end up teamed for a few years, going through their teen years together into adulthood. By ages 19 and 20, they seem stable enough. At least in Wemmbu's eyes.

The two seemed okay, Wemmbu was pleased with the life he was living. The two were left alone enough to live, but not enough to avoid the occasional fight with another group, which wasn't horrid. Nobody at their level wanted to fight to the death. It was all fun and games! Like how all worlds should be.

Wemmbu begins to develop some form of crush on Zam! ( Zammbu crumbs anyone? ) Zam doesn't reciprocate, not yet, seemingly. Despite this, the two remained teamed! They're so close nobody could break their bond. Totally.

Not to Zam, he isn't as pleased as Wemmbu seems. Infact, he complains to Wemmbu about power, about how drained of it he feels. Others like ClownPierce are at the top, why aren't he and Wemmbu at the top? The two don't have the greatest fighting skills, unlike those "at the top" to be fair. Wemmbu didn't see issue with it. Then again, his urge to "become the strongest" was short-lived when he realized how high he had to climb and the lengths it took. It'd be fun to try one day, but for now? Nah.

Zam eventually and abruptly stops complaining. He begins to go missing for days at a time, even. It concerns Wemmbu, why is he disappearing?

Come to find out, Zam has been meeting someone. Someone feeding him ideas, ideas that Zam took into account. How did Wemmbu find this out? Following Zam using an invisibility potion.

Zam fully disappears one day, abandoning Wemmbu. Of course he didn't stay, why would he stay? Zam wants power, power that Wemmbu doesn't want yet. Soon, that yet will turn into never.

He finds someone named Eggchan, someone Wemmbu once knew as a "childhood friend." He doesn't remember much of it, but Egg does. The two team up, ending up closer than Wemmbu feels he was to Zam.

Fastfowards months later, and a church is built at spawn, a sign at the entrance saying "THE ECLIPSE."

The motherfucker had moved onto other people, primarily people known as ItzSubz and Vitalasy. Others involved, of course. Power in numbers or something. Those involved would be named Mapicc, Roshambo, Jepexx, ChiefXD, Reddoons, and HannahxxRose. Associates would soon be named ClownPierce, BranzyCraft, Kaboodle, Squiddo, IvoryCello, and -A.

PrinceZam is renamed PriestZam, and Wemmbu quickly realizes what's happening.

There were two people that Wemmbu saw everywhere. Two people named Spokeishere and Ashswag. They joked about being gods together, very obviously joking. Wemmbu always caught their odd laughter near spawn or in caves nearby whilst the guy was doing whatever.

Seems like someone took the bit too far. The two went missing one day. People wondered where the two had gone, especially someone known as MinuteTech. Someone deemed Spoke's brother.

First sermon, a message is sent in chat inviting everyone in the server.

Curious, quite a few people show up! Including Wemmbu — and there he sees Spoke and Ash both hung up on display, unable to get out of their restraints or move. The two looked dazed, as if they both weren't all the way there. Not a pleasant sight, to be quite honest.

Spoke's rainbow accessories were now replaced with one solid color: Gold. Wemmbu fully realizes what his former teammate is doing, and turns to leave the sermon before it can even begin.

Days later, he's about a good million blocks out, having built an orbital strike cannon from complete scratch. Juuuust as he was loading it, getting it ready, purely to fire at Zam's church, Subz finds him.

He's caught right there, right before he can do anything, while his PvP kit is in a shulker in his e-chest. This doesn't end well for Wemmbu! He's taken by Subz into the church, claiming divine intervention had just saved the church from a sinner trying to kill the only holy thing on the server.

Wemmbu ends up imprisoned, tortured, and trapped unable to leave with zero items but gold accessories he is unable to take off and a bowl of rabbit stew that tastes all too strange.

It's that church that Wemmbu will rot in for the rest of the server's existence. He has no way to escape! Why? Because this place is rigged, the villains always win. Every last escape attempt is met with failure.

In order to avoid further escape attempts, Wemmbu is routinely drugged, just like Ash and Spoke. They can't refuse food, they'll die, and come to find out — they respawn. There is zero point to refuse.

Wemmbu ends up sharing a cell with Ash and Spoke eventually, due to overcrowding, as others are caught and used as hostages.

Wemmbu and Ash kick it off! Traumabonded romantic relationship, they're both highly delusional and definitely healthy. They don't fight over Ash's delusional trips about being a genuine avatar of a god. Definitely. Wemmbu doesn't spiral into a psychotic break about not being human over the treatment recieved from this and Zam. Not at all. They're healthy and happy with their situation.

They are happy being used as sacrifices in this church. They do not want to leave. This is entirely true and not a lie!

While Ash and Spoke are given questionably decent treatment, Wemmbu is given absolutely nothing. He isn't valuable enough, he's a sinner, sinners deserve punishment do they not?

Pretty much this AU is death and suffering. Villains win. There is fluff, it's just rare.

Yes, characters in this au are older, this takes place multiple years into the future. No, none of the characters are minors they are all physically incapable of being minors as this is like 6 years into the future. Wemmbu & Zam are both about 26 - 27 going forwards off of the church stuff.
