I accidentally set my friend up with a guy without realizing till I become the third wheel on a recent outing. (I don't mind being a third wheel but I'm more shocked that they were dating, nothing official yet. she nicknamed him shoe stepper, name self-explanatory. annoyed her by stepping on her shoes and pretending nothing happened in a joking way). My friend thought I set them up on purpose, calling me a secret shipper, I didn't confirm or deny that statement, cause it was funny to me, didn't even knew they were dating till that moment. Fyi, he knew I was coming along and had no problem, so no i didn't crash their date(even though I thought it was just a regular outing between friends). Happy for her all the same, kinda wish love was that easy for me, it's only been 3 months since we started school T-T.

Once had a guy get mad at me for 'leading him on' despite making myself clear from the start that I wasn't going to get start dating a guy who happened to walk up to me randomly one day, but I wouldn't mind being friends to get to know each other (I didn't knew the guy and he was like 5 or so years older than me who just graduated highschool at the time). I also re-stated this over text that I only wanted to be friends. Couple weeks of texting then he randomly asked how I 'felt' about him. Long story short, I 'friendzoned' him then he got all mad at me for being fake and 'like other girls', leaning him on and I reminded him that I told him before I only wanted to be friends from the start, send him proof of my text that specifically stated that. He ghosted me after that text and I couldn't care less, blocked him then and there. He was just playing nice guy to eat in my pants anyways. How I know? 1. this guy's first question to me was if I still have my 'V card' (should have blocked him then but curiosity killed the cat I suppose. ) 2. His status that he post said a lot about him, it's disgusted me but I wasn't really surprised 😑 (I'm a girl that hardly checked people's status on Whatsapp, hence why it took me longer to see his true nature)

Oh and I have freckles on the back of my hands, inherited from my father.

Omg THANK YOU for calling out the op of that post! I can't believe how much of a hypocrite they are, policing katara fans and doing all kinds of other things but acting like they're not actively contributing to the whole policing thing themselves. Ugh.

It'll be a nice day when tumblr users stop being hypocrites.

That's just the thing cause let's be honest, every fandom have a wide spectrum of different categories. It's offer a large variety of content: art, fanfiction, AU's, theories and so much more. Everyone will have their preferences but that doesn't give you the right to judge other people.

I'm not saying I accept everything cause let's be honest all fandom have toxic people and I, as a person, am allowed to have preferenes. I do have lines I will never crossed so I don't interact with that part of the fandom, I will not go out of my way to tell them they're wrong or disrespect their opinions. (Though I will speak up if they attack me first) I also don't let one bad person determine how I feel towards a particular fandom.

Don't like it, Ignore it. Don't even interact with it cause you're just begging for people to target you and start an unnecessary argument that will get nowhere and will only frustrate all parties involved. As my mother said, "if you don't have anything good to say, don't say anything at all"

If you focus only on the bad parts or the things that disinterest/disgust you then you'll missed out on the parts of the fandom that actually resonate with you as a fan. There is also nothing wrong with setting your boundaries (a DNI list, blacklisting tags and so forth), cause once again, everyone has different taste.

It's like entering a restaurant then complaining that they have meat options because you're vegan, completely ignored that they also have a wide selection of non-meat meals.

The only time I would say something is if the creator, themselves, of canon has a problem with what is being done with their characters. Then I would respect their wishes. But I can only speak for myself, cause again, they're toxic people who will continue to do what they want.

Bottom line, it is called Fandom for a reason, it's a community made by fans for fans. Some fans love to explore possibilities that were never explored in canon. Some fans just like the dynamic of two or more characters. Some fans find themselves resonating with a certain character. And some like to theorize about canon. As long as it isn't hurting anyone, (speaking mentally and emotionally here), then I don't see why I should make it my concern. You can't control person's actions, thoughts or opinions so why bother yourself with even trying?

Just enjoy yourself and find others who have similar opinions and share your sentiment. Some people stick closer to canon while other's dive deeper into fanon. There's nothing wrong with either.

(sorry for the rant, just something I'm sick of seeing. Nothing is ever just black and white, there are always many different shades of grey in-between)

As a current 1st year college student where most of my assessments are group work, I hate when my group member use chatgpt and then send that work in the chat group as if the rest of us are stupid and can't tell that they used chatgpt cause it's very obvious they just copy and paste it. Then they get all mad at you when you call them out on it, for being harsh and 'undermining' the effort they're putting in. Like were you expecting a golden star for pressing Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V?

Worst they argue that because here at my school, you can always file a complaint about a group member to your teacher and that person won't get the same grade as the rest of the group. In most cases are made to do the project by themselves for grading or just get a zero flat.

I rarely use chatgpt and if I do, it's mostly as a guide if I get stuck. The research and actually typing is done with my two hands. Visiting websites on the topic, watching videos or even going to my school library. Everything I type is 100% my own understanding of what I have researched. I avoid using AI cause as one of my teachers had said, "chatgpt can't go help you in the final exams"

Beside chatgpt is particularly plagiarism, it justs copy the data from sites online and gives it to you. Not to mention, it's not allowed right.

You could literally type in the same thing in Google and read for yourself for once. Not getting the response you want? How about you try rephrasing the prompt or be more specific. It's not that hard to dedicate yourself to a bit of researching for an honest grade. You'll probably find out some things that you never know before while you're at it that could give you an advantage or even give you a better of the topic you're researching.

Howdy Y'all, please share my story with me at least a little, I am a Type 1 Diabetic. I was diagnosed in February 2019 after being very sick and I weighed 88 lbs. For the last two and a half years I have had to inject insulin 4+ times for day every day, to stay within my blood glucose level.

In December 2020 I was hospitalized and had to have emergency surgery where I had to stay at home for the entire period of my illness without working, and I also had DKA aka Diabetic ketoacidosis is a serious complication of diabetes that occurs when your body produces high levels of blood acids called ketones.

Diabetic ketoacidosis develops when your body cannot produce enough insulin. Insulin normally plays an important role in helping sugar (glucose), the main source of energy for your muscles and other tissues, enter your cells. Without enough insulin, your body begins to break down fat as an alternative fuel. This process produces a buildup of toxic acids in the bloodstream called ketones, eventually leading to diabetic ketoacidosis if left untreated.

Three months later in March 2021 I finally got to see an endocrinologist, who specializes in Type 1 Diabetes. Who told me that an insulin pump would be a good device for me?

I was recently approved for an insulin pump that will help me better control my diabetes. Although I am happy that I am approved the hardest part is coming up with the funds to pay for the pump and equipment.
