CHAOS THEORY S2 SPOILERS

hey yall. i finished chaos theory season 2. and ive been trying to cope ever since [TWEAKING]

this show is incredible thank you for making me like jurassic world again [after those horrible last 2 movies sorry]

ERM HOLY FUCK! lots on my minds too. these characters and the lore is so incredible i love their stories and interactions especially as adults its like watching ur kids grow. wont lie brooklyn's 'death' scene actually haunted me for days [S1E7..]

Yasammy Week ~ Day 4: Engagement/Wedding

When Ben Pincus started to cheer loudly, as if he were at a football game instead of a wedding and a touchdown had been made, Sammy and Yaz almost jumped out of their skin. Glancing around, their friends appeared to be just as startled, but they jumped right in to applaud as well. After wiping the tears from her eyes, Sammy gave Yaz a big smile, which she had to return.

They interlocked their fingers; time seemed to be moving slow as they took everything in, looking between their friends and their families, and then at each other. They’d join the others at the Reception, then go through the long winded process of moving Yaz’s belongings to the Gutierrez Farmhouse; and finally, they’d face whatever came next;

Gosh, this drawing took me what? 19 hours? Most of it was spent on getting the Nublar 4 down there to look like they were actually sitting on a pew (Darius still looks funky to me).

Did you know red wedding dresses symbolize celebration and good fortune? :3 This takes place, like, post Chaos Theory, so technically their future-future looks are up to debate still. I actually referenced both Sammy and Yaz’s concept art for their hairstyles, we were robbed of Butch Sammy/j.

[Darius relaxing in the passenger seat of Ben’s van. Large footsteps approach causing the Dino ornament on the rear view mirror to bounce. Darius looks in the rear view mirror to see a glimpse of something]

[Darius turns to the driver side to see he’s alone]

Darius: Ben?!

[The footsteps stop and a shadow falls on the passenger window. Darius turns round in his seat and is met with an Allosaurus]

Allosaurus, in Brooklynn’s voice: Darius.

[Darius is frozen as the van disappears from under him, leaving him on the ground. Defenseless]

Allosaurus, still in Brooklynn’s voice: You said you’d be here.

[Darius unable to speak, sits in terror at the theropod circling him. Until the Allosaurus roars, mixed with Brooklynn’s screams, lunging at him. Darius throws his hands up in a useless effort to protect himself.]

Unknown Voice: Darius!

[Darius is shaken away by Ben, who is keeping his eyes on the road while driving. The grip on his shoulder is firm and almost painful, but grounds him from his night terror.]

Ben: You good, bud? You were having a bad dream.

[The screen changes to black with text meant to be read as Darius]

Darius, off screen: Yea… I’ll be fine.

Trauma pt.2

We all know when the N6 were on MC island Darius had the most experience with the Spinosaurus. He had to chip it and was threatened by using the Spino. 

And we all know and see how some of the campers have traumatic responses and experiences during CT( especially Yas and Kenji). Well what if they used the Spio on Darius in the next season. I mean it would be a good way to show trauma and see how Darius was affected by it. In my post called Trauma I talked about how Darius doesn't get enough attention for being kidnaped TWICE. Well if they don’t give us how he was affected by being kidnaped  .They should at least give a scene with Darius and a Spino. And see how he responds to that. We could get flash backs, freeze up, break down who knows.  BECAUSE we got Darius with the Allo and that’s current trauma. We need some deep down trauma that “I've overcome.”

I didn't notice it until someone pointed it out, but Darius isn't wearing his Dino tooth necklace in Chaos Theory.

Is that an aesthetic decision, or is there an in-lore reason for that?

I think this design choice was on purpose.

So... in a scrapped version of the original script.... there was this big reveal after he calmed the Pachyrhino down that he no longer liked dinosaurs the same way at ALL. It was actually the first thing I drew on the show:

But he had some crazy line like 'We both know you'd kill me in a heartbeat' or something and it was so over the top it always made everyone laugh (which wasn't the intention). It was decided this version was too melodramatic/the energy was wrong, so they redid how he was written/his acting in the first episode a few times until they found a sweet spot.

It was never meant to be explained why his necklace was missing, just implied.

how long do you think brooklynn's been pronounced dead for? if the promotional material is anything to go by, i can't imagine too long, right? because those mock interviews didn't feature the nublar 6's epilogue designs, it featured their jwct designs. so ..... ?
