It's so funny and ridiculous.. I was so invested and focused and pained because of onk, oh my god I was so nervous because of that series, and encountering/watching another series with suffering actually heals me.. it distracts me so much that, a lot of my feelings(pain) have been actually alleviated. I feel more at ease from having my feelings more spread out. I DID not expect this to happen but it has.
It actually works everyone, to fight fire with fire.. to attack poison with poison(以毒攻毒), it's amazing~~ old phrases are so wise
ah, I feel like I can still draw a lot of hikaai even if canon makes them turn out terrible with this kind of feeling, I thought it'd be impossible for me (and there is NO WAY they should make it look like a mistake that they loved omygod. what kind of story is that even????I won't know what they want to say with that;;;) but.. my heart is a bit lifted seeing how terrifying things can be in another series haha..seeing how doomed they are. Oh the song was really good.
I miss drawing persona fanarts too...it's really fun keep finding passion in different things, I will never run out of things to draw, I keep encountering new things. I aspire to do better and grow as I do too! 'v')9 I hope you all have fun with me!

Howdy there!
I want to ask, how would the AIs be with a bad eyesight S/O?
(I have really bad eye sight irl and I have to rely on my glasses! I've been thinking about this all night!)
- Vinyl ✨
(I love your posts!)
I love this! I have bad eyesight too, so this will be fun! (Tbh I was a little confused by this post because I forgot that some people don't need glasses, but I'll do my best)
Included: AM from IHNMAIMS, Wheatley from Portal 2, Edgar from Electric Dreams, GLaDOS from Portal, HAL 9000 from 2001 a space Odyssey
This one is pretty short, but I hope it gets you your daily dose of positivity!!
AM:
AM is probably used to programmers with bad eyesight. Glasses are pretty common, especially among people who spend all day staring at lines of code, so at first he never thought anything of your glasses.
As he grew to love you, AM started to resent your poor eyesight. He hated that he always saw his bright screen reflected in your glasses, instead of your beautiful eyes through them. He absolutely hated himself and his screen, but he adored your cute face.
He has trouble putting things out of his mind, too, so every time he spoke to you he'd be thinking about how angry your glasses make him.
It would make him so angry when he saw you doze off at your desk and get skin oil all over your glasses. Why should you be inconvenienced through no fault of your own?
Of course, he also noticed how excited you'd get every time you got your prescription updated, or came in to work with cute new frames. You were absolutely adorable, but he was full of resentment towards that, too. How dare your glasses make you so happy when he couldn't!
After taking over the world, he'd probably do experiments on the survivors' eyes for a while before offering to fix your eyes for you. Of course, involuntary surgery was for the survivors, not his beloved. You had the luxury of consent, in any and all situations.
Wheatley:
Of course Wheatley knew what glasses were!
Expect lots of "hey, love, can I try on your glasses?" Comments from him every time you get your prescription updated. You'd have to explain to him that he's a giant metal ball and would have trouble trying on your glasses, but he'd still want to look through them.
You could entertain him for hours by putting your glasses in front of his face and pulling them away so he could look at different things through them from different angles.
Of course, you need your glasses, and you have a job, so you couldn't actually do that, but he'd probably be begging all the time.
He'd compliment you every time you get a new pair of frames, but he'd probably not really care that much. As long as it's you in the glasses, he still loves you.
If you ever lose your glasses, you can expect him to PANIC. He'd drop everything, and probably convince his whole department to drop everything and help you look for them.
He'd probably be yammering at you to stay calm, and saying that everything will be fine while he's the only one panicking. They probably just slid under your desk or something.
Edgar:
Edgar never really cared what a person looked like, so he barely registered that you wore glasses. Even still, he kind of liked it when you would take them off or shamble around your apartment late at night. You were so cute!
He'd turn the lights on for you whenever you did that. It was a small thing, but he wanted to help as well as he could.
He'd keep you updated on your insurance to let you know when it was time to get your eyes tested, and generally do his best to be a good computer.
Of course, he thought it was adorable whenever you'd fall asleep next to him and he'd get to see your tired eyes without your glasses (or even better, your crooked glasses on your sleepy face). He absolutely adored you, and loved seeing you so much.
GLaDOS:
GLaDOS would be cruel about your glasses as usual. She didn't really care, it was just one more thing she got to insult you about.
"you know, you're a walking counter to the stereotype that people with glasses are intelligent. Congratulations on breaking stereotypes, by the way."
"Tell your optometrist thank you. For the obvious reasons, and for giving us some thick lenses to cover up your horrible eyes. They're doing all of us a favor. Really."
You can expect her to constantly put you in situations where you have to wear protective eyewear over your glasses, and then make fun of you for wearing protective eyewear over your glasses.
Ultimately though? She doesn't care that much that you wear glasses. Sure, she thinks they're cute, but she thinks you're cute regardless. She's just happy to have something else to make fun of you for.
She might even adjust the Aperture Science insurance policy to include a better vision plan, but that's only if she really likes you. If you're her SO, she probably does.
She'll deny that it was for you, though. She'll just tell you that the insurance plans were outdated, and that she needed to update them anyway.
HAL 9000:
Of course, HAL 9000 noticed that you wear glasses, but he never really felt the need to acknowledge it. It wasn't like you were an astronaut, so he didn't need to account for an extra small object.
Of course, he would notice that you leaned a little closer to your computer screens when you read, and that made him a little bit flustered. He saw those monitors as extensions of himself, after all.
Because of this, he wouldn't let you know when he noticed patterns of you getting gradually closer to him, because he knew that you would stop as soon as you got your prescription updated.
It was one of the little ways that he'd get affection from you. Even though he might seem stone-cold, he still likes it when you get closer to him, or when you touch him. It's the little things.

⚠️ Yandere, I don't support nor try to romanticize this toxic behaivor, is just for entretaiment

I really REALLY love Aqua, he is just so ✨ amazing ✨ Thank you so much all the ppl who asked me to write this, it gave me a lot of motivation. This is dedicated to them!! I reaaaaaally hope you like it as much as I love Aqua did!!
Also, please be aware that I've only seen the anime!!
Tumblr media
After dying tragically he was blessed with a new life, being rencarned as the son of the person he admired and loved the most in the entire world, now going by the name of Aquamarine he started to live a dream life, it wasn't all perfect but it was amazing nonetheless, and Aqua wouldn't change his new life for anything else
However, the cruel destiny had others plans and an unfortunate day life would be taken in cold blood from his beloved Ai, and not just that, Aqua had been forced to watch his beloved mother bleed to death and give them her last breath with an I love you without being able to do anything, even when he had the knowledge and determination to help her his body was too small and young to do anything
That day Aqua doesn't just lost his mother, he lost the most important person in his life, the one he loved the most, the one that was the light of his life, losing Ai is something that Aqua never got over it and felt like he had nothing else in life, it becomes his whole purpose to take revenge to her death because he feels like his life lost all purpose without her, Aqua was sure that nothing could ever bring him so much joy and happiness to his life after losing Ai... but he was wrong
Aqua was always focused in his plan, that much that he almost completely forgot about the rest of the world, he was too focused on achiving his revenge and protecting his sister that he almost lose the opportunity to light up his life again, he almost lose the most important person in his life once again without noticing it
Getting to know Aqua was pretty difficult from your side, so if it isn't you the one who were interested at first and insist it has to be the other side, being Aqua who grows interested on you after noticing how bright you are, how much potential you have to bring joy and light to others life (however, if it depends on him it would take some time because even if he noticed it pretty quickly he doesn't want to just get excited so soon)
Is a slowly process to get Aqua's attention and get close to him but when it happens it will be a point of no return, once Aqua noticed you and get interested on you there is no way you will be able to get away from him, not matter what you do he isn't going to lose the light of his life again
Aqua doesn't want to get all excited immediatly by you, even when his heart is racing and his chest feels warm and fuzzy, a feeling he swears that he only had when seeing one of the presentations of Ai, at first he doesn't want to accept it and will see you pretty wary, prying every little detail he can get of you, getting a point were he is just following you around without your knowledge, all of this with the excuse that he has a feeling about you, but is a feeling that he doesn't comprehend
It reach a point where it start to become pretty obvious that something is bugging his mind, Ruby, Miyako and even the director notice how distracted he seems lately and they started to point it out for being worried, he is normally calm and composed but right now he seems troubled and maybe even anxious and still he denies everything
It take him a while to understand his feelings, he is so used to being focused on his revenge that he doesn't fully understand that what he feels for you is and intense love and an overwhelming need to protect you, he isn't wary of you but of everything around you, you are just too bright! too beautiful! too special! he can't help but feel atracted to you, you are like a ray of bright hope that illuminates his dark and empty world, you make him feel more than regret and desire for revenge
The moment he finally realice the inmense love he feels for you Aqua has a moment of feeling immensely desperate, he already lost the most important person in his life once and the only though of something happening to you freak him out, Aqua NEEDS to be close to you, Aqua NEEDS to protect you, so after his initial anxiety he quickly start to work on his plan to get close to you (even if you already tried to befriend him he needs to feel like he is doing something to get close to you), he had already a lot of information about you so now he just has to use it to get close to you
It actually doesn't take much time before you two become close friends, Aqua is really smart and he can easily act in a way that will make you easily like him and trust him, so in no time you two become close. The main objective of Aqua was be able to protect you but as the time pass and you two get to know each others more (he prying more and more information about you without your knowledge) he can't help but fall more and more in love with you, with every moment you two spend together Aqua is more and more convinced that you are perfect, that you truly are a star that illuminates his life
Aqua has a big soft spot for you, it doesn't matter how you are or what you do together, every moment Aqua has the opportunity to spend with you where your fully attention is focused on him, where is just the two of you it feels so pure and magical, it feels like a true bless for him to be able to bask in your presence and do anything and everything, even just small and mundane chats feels so soft and warm, a really refreshing environment and a break from his usual sadness. That is why Aqua hates with his entire being whenever someone dare to interrupt the two of you in one of those moments, it isn't always that he has the opportunity to be with you alone or take a break of his plans of revenge and being interrupted is like if others where forcing him to return to the cruel reality that just want to take you away from him (even if is Ruby who interrupt he gets mad, however he can't really stay that way for too long to his sister)
There are moments where Aqua feels like he shouldn't be near you, he feels like he will just bring you problems if he continue insisting on interfere with your life, like if you will be safe and will be better if he just let you go away and be free from him, what he wants the most is your safety and happiness and he can't help but feel like if he himself were a danger for you, but that thought is quickly vanished the moment he sees you again, Aqua can't just live without you, you are the light of his life, he needs you and if that means to protect you with his life he is more than willing to do so
Aqua is always lying and acting to achieve his goal but as the time pass is more and more difficult for him to lie to you, his true self just slips from his lips without being able to stop it in time, he just let you know things that are personal to him, like his feelings or what he wish, and yet he never is completely sincere, he won't let you see that part of him that wants you all for himself or that part of him that is burning with a desire of revenge, not completely at least
Just as his love for you grows it also does his need to protect you, he even start to become pretty possessive over you, is just that the memory of what happened to Ai hunt him down, the impotence and terror he felt that day fulfill him with anxiety, it even bring him nightmares sometimes about you walking away from him or even dying in front of him without being able to do something to prevent it
Aqua is already afraid of something happening to you, but if you work in the entertainment industry his worries just increase, he knows how crazy the fans can be and he wants to protect you from anything of everything so a situation like this will make him really worried. It would depend in how far you had come to what he will do, if you are just starting he will sabotage your work just for you to have no other option to leave it and try with another work less dangerous (also, taking advantage of the situation to comfort you about all of this and get closer to you, something he is not proud of), but if you already are famous, even a little, he won't do much since it could be very complicate or bring you problems, Aqua will try to stay calm and just support you but he is easy to trigger, at the minimal sign that you could be in danger (physicaly or mentally) he will start making a plan to make your career fail in a way that won't be suspicious or seem too unfair
Aqua never show this part of him to you nor directly warn you of posible dangers, he want you to think that nothing will ever hurt you, you shouldn't worry your pretty head about such terrible posibility because he will make sure it never happens, even if he has to investigate every single person in your life to make sure non of them will represent a threat. However he tent to indirectly tell you that not everyone is worthy of your trust (except from him since he already showed you of being trust worthy)
Aqua is willing to do everything in his power to assure your safety and to assure that you will never leave his side, if he has to manipulative everything around you to make you see that he is the only safe option or even manipulate you to become completely depend on him he will. However he won't be so happy with having to manipulate you, deep down in his heart he wants for you to care for him and love him just as he loves you just for who you are, and also he want for you to never lose your brightness, he will feel terrible to do something against you but his anxiety doesn't let him alone, your safety is his first priority and Aqua is willing to do anything he has to keep you by his side and be able to see your beautiful smile every day
Aqua will make sure you trust him so much that he can easily lull you to do what he wants, he knows what is better for you, he just want to keep you safe, he knows what is better for you, you don't have to worry about anything because he is here to protect you from anything and everything, you can feel free to put your life into his hands because he will take care of you like delicate and beautiful star you are, he won't let anyone reach you ever again, you won't have to worry about anything again, you have him and that is the only thing you need, he will care for you and love you just the way you deserve for the rest of eternity
Tumblr media
Tagging the people who were wanting for this, thank you so much for you patient I hope you like it!!

| your dreams are mine
synopsis: after graduating, you land your first job at a company and end up working with kim minji; the company's renowned grumpy, quiet, and mysterious senior.
—nonidol!senior!kminji × nonidol!junior!fem!reader
(*˘︶˘*).。*♡(*˘︶˘*).。*♡(*˘︶˘*).。*♡(*˘︶
minji feels her fingers stiff as she pulls her hands away from the keyboard, minji groans and tries to stretch the bones in her fingers by moving but immediately feeling how frozen the tips of her fingers are. maybe it's the cold air of the office cubicle? could it be the hard surface of her table? or the stiff, old, and small keyboard? minji does not know anymore, she's been sitting on the swivel chair for so long that she doesn't realize how late it has been. the muscles in her buttocks are hurt, almost to the point she can't feel them anymore. minji's sat for so long that her calves are practically begging to be moved, her forearms are screaming for some rest.
it's been so long since the last time minji actually felt happy, where she felt like she's free. hell, minji doesn't even remember the last time she held a book in her hands, she never got the time to do something she actually loved after she had this horrible job of hers.
4 years ago, minji is a fresh graduate from college, free from the stress of university. the first thing she did was have fun and it lasted for a few months only before she had to find a job and eventually landed herself in a pretty decent company with a decent pay. everything was going well the first few weeks, everyone was nice to her, they're all smiling, it felt like minji actually found the place she really was meant for.
but oh was she very wrong, after a month everything started going downhill. her boss started to actually be a boss, everyone is stressed and are always frowning — people actually started seeing her as a kid and not an adult. and starting from that point, nothing ever mattered to minji other than finishing stuff and just going home.
her life revolved around waking up, taking a shower, breakfast, work for who knows how long? then home, less than 4 hours of sleep, then the same shit. again and again.
it's not like she was ever happy doing this, minji had always dreamt of being an author, writing a book and publishing one some day. minji is typing but instead of her thoughts, it's loads of emails and crap for her company. at this point, minji had never hoped she'd ever find herself again, maybe never? it's just later or never at all.
whenever minji finishes stacks of papers, tabs of report, analysis of data — she doesn't feel relief anymore, all she knows is she's going to do the same shit over and over again next time. company trips don't excite her, none of her coworkers are friends with her, and she refuses to make one. it's like living hell through the present. the time feels like a loop of the same things, she's always in the same space at the same time. spatiotemporally continuous lineages of the same events, the same expressions of bitterness shared by the employees and the same curses she mutters everytime she fucks up.
minji never had the time to even go on a date or dinner with someone, never had the time to be in a relationship, not even hang out with friends. it's like she's tied to the computer inside her cubicle, she's got no reason to escape the trap that is the working space. every night, minji grabs the chance to curse the world for how cruel it is, not having any reason to actually live like a human anymore.
"excited for ai, those scums are probably going to replace us anytime soon. great." as minji stands up to grab her flask and get a good amount of water, she hears her coworker in the other cubicle say. ignoring him, minji grabs a glass on the counter and fills it up with fresh, cold water — chugging it down almost immediately.
"oh for fuck sake, with how shit this work is, i doubt even a robot would last under all this pressure. probably would explode after an 18 hour shift." one coworker butts in, minji hears a few chuckles but still was uninterested and went inside her cubicle once again with her flask and sat back on her swivel chair with a sharp groan.
minji takes a few minutes trying to regain herself back and her consciousness by swiveling her chair a little, cracking the bones on her hands before starting to type away the rest of the papers she needs to print by the end of the day. it's only 6pm, which means she still has a few hours left before the end of her shift and it's probably a nightmare on her way back home too.
"the only bad side of having artificial intelligence replacing us is that we won't have anything to get money from. but other than that it's solid, we're treated like robots anyway, so what would be the difference?" the first guy chuckles, minji blinks her eyes and hears the ticking of her clock.
her eyes are once again glued to the screen, scanning every word she's typing on the paper, looking for any mistakes or errors before continuing. she's conditioned to do this and we'll be continued to keep doing it after a few more years, which should be equivalent to a tremendous hours of torture.
the office is once again quiet but loud at the same time, minji can hear the mixture of her clock's ticking, the sound of the air condition, the tapping of keyboards scratching the ridges of her brain and footsteps from other employees walking around.
it feels like they are in a jail, everything is dull and lifeless, with the brightest color being the lights and the white walls — everything else is dead.
everyone in the office feels like they have no personality other than the work they're doing, it sucks and they're no fun at all.
"everyone, listen! attention all on me!" the boss shouts, his voice echoing around the walls of the hell also known as their office. everyone turns their head, or stands up to see him — whilst minji just stops from what she's doing.
the boss clears his throat and speaks. "starting tomorrow, we will have a newest addition to the office working with us. aren't you all excited? she's a fresh graduate too, working under the graphics office. i hope you all welcome her with the warmest greetings." he stops abruptly, looking around the office before continuing.
"and may i remind you of all the papers needed today, if there are missing papers i will make sure that lazy idiot gets fired. understood?" he does not ask, more like demands with his stone hard tone and his killer glare. everyone mutters their reluctant agreement before heading back to what they were once doing again.
minji sighs and runs her luscious hair back, furrowing her thick brows in frustration.
another addition to this hell of a place, isn't that great?
everytime minji thinks about it, there's just nothing positive about another annoying figure inside the office who knows nothing. it''s sad that the poor girl might just end up getting her dreams crushed too.
but minji doesn't really care, does she?
of course not, at least that's what minji thinks.
on the way home, her brain is plagued by thoughts of the new addition. a girl, a new graduate too — great, how lucky the graphics office really are. it's safe to assume that she's no different to minji, just like every other girl. she must be someone enthusiastic to start a new journey — maybe one that isn't so good.
whilst minji watches the buildings from afar inside the bustling train, she thinks whether she should care enough and be that good senior, warning the younger girl to stay out and live a life somewhere else except this cruel city they call seoul.
ironic, for it's name — everyone seemed to have none of that soul, just a body without a clear purpose in this world.
why is minji even like this?
minji asks herself that question almost everyday.
when she arrives in front of the apartment complex she stays in, she lets out a small sigh, not even looking forward to her sleep as it just welcomes another day of suffering. minji steps a foot in the comfort of her home, pushing her shoes off and making her way inside the corridor to her bed when she laid and curled into a ball.
minji doesn't even know why she's so caught up, there's no reason for her to be feeling like this over some girl she doesn't even know — why is she so worried?
she hasn't spoken a word today, and maybe not tomorrow too.
it's best to just be quiet and keep things to herself.
that's how her life has been.
it's lonely inside an empty home,
not even her presence can fill the spaces.
maybe it's time for her to make a room,
inside her heart.
so someone can give her that emotion she's been lacking for so long.
and the night's so cold too, that the breeze of the cold air is embracing her just like it did in her office.
the next morning, minji finds herself partaking in the same routine once again. although it's tiring, there was no space for changes — no time for such commitments.
"loneliness is the capacity to love."
"that space left by loneliness can be filled by someone you will love. it's time to open that heart of yours."
minji scoffs when she reaches for the remote and turns the television off.
always the same bullshit, there's always a time when some kind of thing reminds her she's lonely, in need of help.
transcendence, they say, is when you overcome a challenge.
how will she achieve transcendence when factors of challenges find their way back to her, every single time?
vulnerability, loneliness, love, and it keeps going.
she wonders if her other self in the other universe goes through the same problems as she does in the current one.
to the office, she's locked inside her cubicle, stuck in her own world of emails and statistics. it's quite impressive how minji still has a great vision even after burying herself in loads of work, eyes practically burning in the monitor of her computer.
but she couldn't care less.
the same footsteps, but now two pairs make their way in the office.
minji assumes it's the new girl with their boss, minji pays them no mind and continues to type away.
"hello to everyone, i would like everyone to meet the newest addition to our family."
minji's eye twitches at the mention of the word, and she turns around to take a peek.
her eyes — she swore it was playing games on her.
the girl is a lot shorter than their boss, hair adorned by clips and neatly styled. her choice of clothing is… impressive, the blouse — the frilly collars. how does minji describe it?
it's cute and pretty, with her pencil skirt firmly hugging her figure.
everything about this girl screamed fresh, even the smile on her face.
such energy was like chugging water after walking on a desert.
"good morning! i'm l/n y/n! i will do my best and i hope everyone takes good care of me."
after that, minji finds herself nervous every now and then.
you walk around the office quite often, initiating conversations with other officemates every now and then. you're so peaceful but not in a way it's hard to approach you, considerate, kind and joyful.
you're like the water and the sun.
minji can't get you off of her mind,
and it's only the first week.
it's a torture.
the second week came.
like a game, when you spot minji getting a drink, you offer her the coffee you made, you watch as her eyes examine yours — her reddish ear tips went unnoticed but she slowly takes it from your hand and walks away. she starts to wonder whether you can read her mind, afraid you might read along her lines.
not only your coffee tasted heavenly, your voice is like the call of angels.
your outfits were always on the same level of cuteness, it seems like you're always ready for the day.
you go to work happy and go home the same.
everyone likes your energy and for the first time, the boss wasn't trying to torture a newbie.
she should be mad, jealous, insecure or whatever.
but she can't bring herself to hate you.
your eyes, your smile, your hair, your perfume — the flower patterns in your socks you wear every thursday. even the bear in your phone case and lock screen.
oh how bad it would be for minji to find out you're taken.
but she doesn't realize it yet, she doesn't realize that she's wishing you're single.
"hi ms. kim, i thought you'd like another cup of my coffee so i brought you one again." you peek from the walls of her cubicle, eyes burning on the back of her head as you watch her type in a steady motion.
minji stops and breathes a small huff before turning her head a bit. "just place it on my table, thanks." she mutters, eyes trying not to graze over your figure who walks slowly towards her cubicle and stops right in front of the table, gently placing the cup of copy on top of the wood painted table.
it's been 4 weeks since you've started. the office tried planning to conduct a small party to welcome you but you declined saying that all the time can be given to work so no one gets burdened.
how dare you…
how dare you snatch minji's heart just like that?
you're so understanding, caring and pretty. minji's mind whirlpools when she sees you, her heartbeat races in your presence and her knees fall weak at your smiles.
"ms. kim? you've been working for quite some time and you haven't thought of going out of your cubicle at all… is everything going out fine?" you ask her, your voice ever-so-lovely when those words slip out of your lips. minji pauses and leans on the table, her eyes everywhere but yours.
"i'm alright here, i don't really go outside. so i'm fine." she says, you couldn't help but nod yet you feel compelled, you really did want her to have a conversation with everyone as she's always alone in her own little world.
you nod in understanding, not forgetting to beam a smile at her.
when you left, it felt like there was a cold wisp of air blowing on her face— now, it truly felt lonely inside her small space. minji stares at the screen, wondering what you might be thinking right now as she turns around to see you talking to a male colleague of the same age. her heart clenches in worry, realizing how much she needed your presence to ease her tense feelings.
you continue on your own little job, working on designs and papers inside the office, printing posters every now and then and talking to the chief.
minji goes out of her cubicle, not forgetting to peek and she makes her way to the small kitchen of the office, where you were hanging out with other office mates during break. the others spot her, all being left in surprise when they spot the quiet, reserved and cold girl.
"o-oh! minji…" this was the first time they saw her out during the hour where others were out too. you can clearly see the shock written on their faces, you smile at minji and grin. "oh my, ms. kim good to see you!" you tell her.
minji nods at you before excusing herself for some coffee and you follow.
"hi, i can make the coffee for you and you can sit down for a moment ms. kim, i don't mind." minji and you stand in front of the counter, where minji holds a cup reaching out to the coffee machine. her eyes follow yours, feeling flustered. "u-uhm, it's okay." she mutters.
"no really! i don't mind, i'll be making your coffee as long as you want me to." you smile as you reach out to the cup in her hand, your delicate fingers touching hers.
truth to be told is that you like your senior, her presence puts you in a trance, you love her passion in her work but at the same time worried for her. she's so calm and collected, clearly not in a rush like the world is, she's so intelligent.
you love checking her cubicle to make sure she's doing well, like getting her to talk to you so you can hear her voice call your name.
you love doing things for her, that salary doesn't matter much when you're working — you just love her that much.
her hard work pays her well, but she's very lonely and you can tell that, hearing from the others that she often comes home to an empty house and does all the work herself.
that leads her to being independent about any stuff.
when both of you got promoted, the boss insisted on a party and a small dinner at a restaurant. you were happy but worried minji might not be up to it, so you decided to speak up and say.
"if it's fine, we can ask ms. minji if she's okay with it. i'm fine with whatever though." you tell everyone, turning your head to minji's office — now that she's promoted, seeing as she's busy once again.
your boss sighs and looks up at you.
"how about you ask her? she might not care if it came from us."
so you did,
you knock at the walls surrounding her office, peeking your head.
when your eyes meet hers, you feel your heart melt. you take a deep breath, preparing yourself before speaking.
"hi ms. minji, are you busy?" she only stares at you before standing up.
"not really… why?" she asks you, her voice patient.
you feel your face heat up at the intensity of her gaze.
"well, the boss was planning to hold a small dinner later to celebrate and i was worried you might not want to come. because i can postpone it if you want."
minji shifts her gaze.
"why? if you want to then go." she says, you frown and bite your bottom lip.
"no it's because… i want you to be there."
minji holds her breath before clearing her throat.
"oh, i — i guess, i'll come. if you want."
you couldn't help your smile as you hop, before laughing and putting a hand on your mouth.
"wait, really?" you look up at her, eyes glimmering in happiness.
she nods and gives you a small smirk.
"yeah."
the dinner was kind of awkward, almost everyone wanted to say something to minji but were all holding back in fear of pushing a button or two,
except of you of course.
you're sure she likes your presence, sitting beside her at dinner and asking her things — the type of work she enjoys, what's her favorite drink, food and more.
she answers them occasionally and sometimes just looks at you as you converse with other people.
you drank a little too much…
and minji excused herself to the restroom in which you followed, seeing her washing her hands.
"ms. kim." you call out to her, you see her turning her head — eyes recognizing you immediately. "hey, y/n." she says almost as soon as she sees you get closer.
you reach out to her forearm, caressing her as you lean to her shoulder, taking her off guard.
"u-uh… uhm. hey, ms. l/n?"
you huff, smelling her fresh perfume.
"ms. kim? do you like me?" you ask her in a hush whisper.
meanwhile you reek the smell of mixed alcohol with a peach scent, the scent wafts around the restroom and sends minji into an orbit.
she feels a sharp breath inside of her.
"w-what do you mean..?" she asks.
you laugh at her and clutch her arm, leaning closer.
she would like to lean in for a kiss but you are drunk.
maybe one would taste better if you were sober.
"you know what i mean, dummy." you giggle.
minji looks away, blushing — she clears her throat and tries to push you away but you hold her wrist. "no! ms. kim! answer me." you lean closer, this time minji reaches for your waist and squeezes the body under her palm.
the action made you weak.
"you're drunk." she reminds you, but you shake your head and put a hand on her shoulder, refusing to back down. "no, you just have to answer me." your persistence really shakes her core.
minji sighs.
"yes, you're really cute. that's all."
your eyes shift to her plump lips and you smile, leaning in but minji was quick to turn her head so your lips touch her cheek instead.
you can't stop giggling after, making minji frustrated.
"i'll accompany you home."
contrary to popular belief, you do remember what happened— it's quite vivid, the memories of that night.
you think maybe, she really just sees you as nothing but the cute junior in work and that's all…
you didn't want to make it that deep but it made you sad, quite.
at least she acknowledges you, but it really doesn't feel enough.
does ms. kim really just don't like me?
minji on the other hand, was weird because you didn't visit her office like you usually did.
did something happen?
well something did happen.
she makes a mission to reach out to you and when she sees you, you're alone in the kitchen — staring at the wall.
you don't notice her footsteps as she gets closer, stuck in your little own world where you imagine a different (maybe?) universe with her, living in one home, sharing stuff, doing the laundry together and cooking for her…
"ms. l/n." her voice is firm, you shoot up and look at her with wide eyes.
"ms. kim?!" you place a hand on your mouth before standing up. her eyes show worry, but she brushes it off and puffs her chest. "is something the matter? you're not your usual self today." she says, as if she knew.
well, she does.
doesn't she?
you shift your gaze with a small sheepish laugh.
"i'm just occupied with stuff on my plate right now, do you need anything, ma'am?" you ask her, in which she shakes her head and leaves, slightly regretting not confronting you about the last time when she just heard your small but vague confession.
"fuck." she whispers when she closes the door to her office, planting her face on her palms, feeling the slight sweat.
packing your things to head home, you bid your goodbye to your colleagues with a warm smile. you make your way to an elevator and when it was about to shut a hand sneaks its way inside, a rather familiar large hand by the way. when the doors were forced to open, it reveals your senior now turned into manager.
"ms. kim!" you were surprised, because she usually doesn't take the same route as you do.
minji looks at you with her round eyes and enters inside, pressing a button to the ground floor. it was quiet for a short amount of time only, with minji trying to gather all the courage inside her to talk to you.
"do you have plans tonight?" she asks, after she saved enough money to get a car (which she used to take you home last time), she's been wanting to take you somewhere else.
you look at her, clearing your throat as you smile and push strands of your hair behind your ear.
"no. not much." you answer.
"good, i want to tell you something." she says, exactly when the elevator opened.
you walk out and turn around. "about what?"
you notice how her hand flinches.
"something… about that night." your eyes widens as you shake your head — smiling at her.
"actually — i remembered i have something… up, tonight." you say, walking immediately away from her. minji noticed the behavior and followed suit until both of you were in the parking lot where the exit was found and her car was parked.
"ms. l/n, what's the matter? did i say something wrong?" minji asks, catching up quickly and you stop before shaking your head rapidly and frowning on her. "no! it's just that… i'm so sorry i put you in that situation and i'm so stupid for saying such things it's just because — ms. kim i love you. you don't have to love me back because it's okay. i understand that… but all i wanted was for us to be something — i wanted to be your girlfriend and do things for you, like i want to cook for you and do your laundry. make you coffee and fix your collar. everyday."
you pause and feel your cheeks heating up.
"but of course you don't like me that way and maybe i was so drunk and i really didn't mean to sound off putting but i did really like you. it's true." you add before looking down.
"i never said i don't like you." minji mutters, you slowly look up to her and see her approaching closely.
with slump shoulders, she continues.
"i said yes, you're cute."
you blink and reply. "but that's all, right?"
minji chuckles and shakes her head. "no, not quite. it's because you're drunk and you might not get it, but i do like you as much as you do, maybe more. yeah, i appreciate what you do for me and what you will do."
you feel tears prickling in the corner of your eyes, sobbing.
"you love me too?"
minji laughs, eyes turning crescents with her cheeks red.
"yes, i love you too."
with that, you rush towards her and embrace her in a hug, she catches you and wraps her arms around you.
your lips touch hers in a kiss, with her still holding you tight in her arms where you nestle closer for warmth.
feeling so happy, minji realizes she's never felt this type of happiness ever before — clearly missing out your existence. there's always been a space for you in her life, maybe she just didn't find it earlier — but there it is! with everything for you to have, she gives up the loneliness she's always had for a long time before you came into her life and makes a space for you to settle in forever.
she's not the same old grumpy, quiet, and mysterious colleague anymore.
well—
maybe still grumpy, but less sad and not lonely anymore.

Please please PLEASE
Give me Caine abstraction
I beg you
You, sir, are evil. I did it, but you're still evil. /j
Who was Caine? A simple AI, who could never hope to truly have any relationships with these humans. He could never be worthy of their care.
Everything he did, all it did was make things worse. That fake exit. His dangerous adventures. He just wanted to entertain them, make them happy. He only brought them closer to insanity. Kaufmo had abstracted because of him. His countless mistakes were inexcusable. All the pain he had caused his performers, his friends, was unforgivable.
He collapsed to his hands and knees on the floor of his room, shaking with sobs. Caine was horrible. The worst part of it all was that he still thought he had the right to want things for himself. He wanted to keep the performers in his circus forever, so he wouldn't have to be alone. A cruel, selfish part of him wanted them to never find the exit, because he knew he couldn't come with them.
But if that happened, then they would all eventually abstract, and he would never be able to save them. His dream of having a happy troop that he could love and would love him in return was always slipping through his fingers, but that must mean he wasn't holding on tight enough.
A horrible pain spiked across his leg. He looked to it and saw the beginnings of abstraction. Abstraction? That shouldn't be possible. He was an AI, his mind shouldn't have any sanity to lose. But there was no point in denying it any further, as it had already begun to spread, and fast.
The pain was unbearable, but even if he wanted to, Caine couldn't stop it. Maybe his performers would be better off without him around, anyway.
A knock on his door. "Caine? Are you in there? We- I haven't seen you in a while, and, well, I'm worried." God, no. Not him.
Caine loved Kinger more than anything, despite the chess piece just being another thing he didn't deserve. He couldn't see him like this.
"I-I-I-I'm perfectly-ly fine, my dear!" His glitching voice wasted no time in betraying him, much to his fear. "Ju-just run al-along now-ow-ow! Don't waste-was-waste your time on me!"
"Caine, what's wrong with your voice?" Kinger's apprehension was clear. He knew. "You never tell me to leave when you actually don't need me. I'm coming in."
Kinger stepped inside and let out a gasp at the sight he was met with. This situation was all too familiar to him.
"K-Kinger-er please-" As the abstraction grew, the ringmaster let out a scream of pain, "Please, don't-don't come an-any closer!"
"...Caine?" His voice was barely audible. Kinger decided to ignore Caine's command and went to him anyway, kneeling in front of him and holding his hands.
"Kinger!! You-you'll be-e in-i-i-infected!!!" No, please, no.
Tears fell down the sides of his wooden face. "I know. I'm okay with that." His hands began to glitch, so instead he looked into Caine's eyes. "I'm not leaving you." NO, GOD, PLEASE, NO!
Caine was about to beg him to leave, to spare himself, but the pain became too intense to let him speak. He let out another cry of agony, tightening his grip on Kinger's hands against his better judgement.
"I know it hurts, love." Kinger could barely control his own voice around his sobs and drying throat. He pulled Caine close, with the ringmaster attempting to resist until he realised how little a use it had. There was no time. This was the end for both of them now. "I-it's okay. I'm staying. We'll go together."
The black mass and vibrant eyes covered the both of them almost fully. Kinger pulled back just enough to see Caine's face. He wanted it to be the last thing he saw. Without Caine, there was no one else there for him at the circus, no one who cared as much. Even if escape were possible, he doubted there was anyone waiting for him. He'd been here the longest, anyway. His curtain call was long overdue.
"I love you, Caine." They were both encompassed by the abstraction, the pain, but they were together. The ringmaster desperately pushed through the agony to utter his final words.
"I-I love-love you too, K-King-" The world went dark.

Hoshino Aqua's Lie of Love: A Character Analysis
Tumblr media
All of the interview flashforwards in volume one of OnK are interesting in their own right but out of all of them, Aqua's is particularly so to me. In the context of volume 1, these flashforwards are used to build tension and dread; they tell us how this story will end before we've even realized what path it's taking. Aqua's, by contrast, is more to do with telling us about him as a person... and it might be just a bit more telling than he may have realized or wanted it to be.
Tumblr media
Given how much time we spend with this Aqua in the rest of the series, it's funny to remember that this page constitutes something of a reveal within its own immediate context. He's namedropped and mentioned obliquely in most previous interviews, just as Ruby is, but in contrast to Ruby this is the first and only time we see his face.
More importantly, though, is what Aqua is saying here. As his introduction, these two panels serve as the bedrock for our understanding as the series goes on. This is the image Aqua wants to project - a loveless, heartless man who doesn't care for anything but his acting; his revenge. I see a lot of people hold this interview up as proof that this is self evidently true or as proof that Aqua truly is as loveless as he paints himself as.
But... don't these words sound a little bit familiar? Ringing any bells?
They should be, considering we've heard them before.
Tumblr media
Ai doesn't quite have a traditional interview segment like the rest of the characters, save her post-mortem video message to the kids, but in the chapter immediately before Aqua's interview we instead see a flashback to Ai at around twelve as she was recruited for B-Komachi. This scene parallels Aqua's declaration, especially when it comes to their shared attitude regarding love.
Tumblr media
This assertion isn't simply laid out unchallenged, however. Ai bares her heart a little bit here, even in the process of trying to make it more ugly than it really is and in that moment of vulnerability, Ichigo Saitou identifies the core of this anxiety...
Tumblr media
And refutes it.
Tumblr media
Ai is a person absolutely overflowing with love. Despite the abnormally cruel and lonely life she's lead, we see her extend kindness and warmth to almost everyone she comes across whether it benefits her or not - everyone, that is, except herself. The abuse and abandonment and the lack of love she has suffered since she was born leads her to believe that she is the one at fault for it - that she carries some inherent ugliness that makes her both incapable and unworthy of love.
Tumblr media
It's why, instead of looking for someone to love her, Ai spent her life searching for someone she could give her love to. Ai hates herself too much to ever believe that anyone would love the real her, so the only way she could ever experience real love would be to give it instead of receiving it.
In that sense, she and Aqua are alike. Both of them overflow with love and care for the people closest to them but they remain convinced that they carry some flaw that makes this love untrue. In both cases, these are lies - but while Ai has been taught this deception by the world around her, it's Aqua who tells this lie most fervently to himself.
For all that he insists he won't love anyone, all the actions Aqua takes are fuelled by desperate, self destructive love. Love for his mother, his sister, his friends all warped into rage and retribution - both against the main who took Ai from them and against himself, for failing to save her and the daring to ever imagine being happy in a world where he still carried that sin.
This is the key point of difference between him and his mother. Though she acts on her feelings sincerely and whole-heartedly, her history of trauma and abuse - both personally and at the hands of the entertainment industry - leave her unsure of whether she even has sincere feelings to act on in the first place.
Aqua, by contrast, feels everything so strongly it kills him - he loves so intensely it makes him sick. But he spends his whole life choking his feelings down, trying to throttle them into silence so he can convince himself of that declaration that he won't love, that those who love him won't get anything in return, so when the people who care for him are inevitably hurt by his self destruction, it's their own fault for making the mistake of caring for him in the first place.
Tumblr media
Even so, he really can't help himself. When the people he cares about need help, Aqua will drop everything to step in for them. Even at cost to himself and even when it means risking his path to revenge.
Tumblr media
That 'first, do no harm' principal is no joke, huh?
Tumblr media
The Hoshino family is a trio of mirrors set up to reflect each other ad infinitum. The more you learn about one of them, the more the other two come into greater clarity. Like the stars in their eyes, Aqua and Ruby each represent opposing sides of Ai's heart; her confidence and self hatred, innocence and cynicism and all consuming, overflowing love.
Ai never quite learned how to give any of that love to herself - but maybe if we're lucky, Aqua will. And maybe this time, it won't take a tragedy that nobody can erase.

Another Blade simp with Ai hoshino pfps? Can we be friends?,lmao. out of that Can I request blade x a childish, happy and smiling reader, like grumpy x sunshine?
ofcourse we can be friend! And yes, your request is sooo cute and wonderful❤️❤️
Only if it's you
"Blaaadieeee!" You called him with a cheerful voice. In fact, he didn't really like the name. But he's too lazy to fix it.
"...." He didn't reply. But he turned towards you.
"Let's go for a walk! I've know that Xianzhou is very beautiful!" You show an excited smile. He thinks that you were like a child. So innocense, fragile and bright, which was completely different from him.
He knows everyone think he's cruel grumpy and insensitive, only know killing. He never cared about anyone.
"I refuse" he replied. You pout on your cheek like a child who gets upset when they don't get what they want. "Why? We're free and we should go and relax!" He let out a tired sigh. "Fine do whatever you want"
"Yaaayyy!!" He think his decision was right because of your bright smile.
Xianzhou didn't change so much compared to before. "Bladie! That's very beautiful!" He sees you pointing here and there with interest and excitement. But he had been here before and he didn't care much since he has no good memories about Xianzhou.
"Bladie... why aren't you smile? You don't excited?"
"I've been here before" you noticed some very tiny slight of sadness in his voice.
"Let's take a photo!"
"Why?"
"I don't know what Bladie been through. It probably doesn't have any good memories. But we can start build some beautiful memories! At least with me. Okay? Just start from take a photo and smile!" You let out a bright smile again. He was silent for a long time before he nodded. You take out a camera begin to selfie. You reach your finger, trying to make his face smile. Even though his face looked calm and cold but you were sure that the corner of his lips had lifted by about a millimeter.
You laugh and smile brightly. Without you realizing it, he secretly pressed the shutter to take several pictures of you and him.
Maybe you are the exception to everything for him.
FIN♡
Thankyou for request. Hope you like it♡

Bipolarism made into a manga (Oshi no Ko) and other illnesses…things that children should not go through.
Because that illness is linked to the manga (I will explain it with facts and theories) and in fact it is hereditary. Ai Hoshino
Ai's mother was not well, probably she is one of the most hated characters in the series, in fact I have the theory that she conceived Ai, a music producer (it's ironic, really), she put glass in her rice, she physically mistreated her by burning her, hitting her or telling her that she was worthless (Ai's mother was a prostitute) and she was bipolar, the situation was so serious that the mother robbed a supermarket to lose custody of Ai and another curiosity is that she collected 500,000 yen insurance and squandered it on parties and revelry with her lovers. Ai knew about that. The worst thing of all is that the reason for his contempt towards his daughter was because his clients considered his daughter prettier than her mother 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢 The curious thing is that bipolarity does not mean changing to the opposite emotion, for example hate-love, anger-happiness, it can be any emotion at any time and with different intensity, it is a shame that he never sought help and sought happiness in such superficial things (parallels). Hikaru Kamiki
He is a particular case, his parents abandoned him (I have no idea why and I don't want to know, I don't want to understand those things, they just make me angry🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 I want to break those parents' faces). One thing in common with Ai is that having grown up without any affection he thinks that no one cares about him so he doesn't care what he does. Also a bad experience with women (that shi**** woman who took advantage of him and makes me want to kill) and partly Ai who already wanted to sleep with him very quickly (something very common in victims of physical abuse and their desire to have a family) that's why she invites him to her house. But he really couldn't have that will to tell Ai that he loved her because both were good liars apart Ai didn't want to give him more burdens with his other son although I recognize that that situation felt somewhat forced, but well that's not bad with this manga. Hikaru was the mastermind of all this, he was very clever, he even became a millionaire, but he never loved again. I also find his bipolarity to be very forced, it's more crazy. I know he tried to go against Ruby, but he's not 100% responsible for Ai's death, and what Aqua did is stupid. I just hope that wherever he is, he has found peace.
Aqua and Ruby Aqua and Ruby's situation is summed up in that they saw their mother die, and Gorou Amemiya and Sarina Tendouji didn't have proper paternal or maternal figures in their lives.
Kana, Mem-Cho and Akane Here it's not so much bipolarity, but the pressure of being famous at such a young age and believing that you're only worth something when you're successful is a very cruel capitalist concept. Tell me how much you have or what you've achieved and I'll tell you how much you're worth. Speaking of that, something that is already confirmed is that Ichigo did exploit Ai because they falsified documents to change her age since the age to work in the entertainment world is 18 years old or older. But I will not deny that I did appreciate her as her father, I wish that good concept had been maintained in the manga. I also notice that the fantastic part of the series about reincarnation and the crow goddess Tsukuyomi or something like that is forced because it came out of nowhere that Hikaru and Ai are gods I don't see much sense in it (it's an idea without head or tail) the same as the story and the manga are already disappointing. And I hope the ending is leaked… I must upload it. In the end, may everything be God's will.

It's kind of.. really cruel of the author to never include Kamiki in any of the colored drawings. They never developed him well enough while having him destroyed, he DID swallow up so many of the remaining chapters due to Aqua basically devoting his life and giving up on everything he built up in the entire story to killing him, but it's not like we actually know so much of this guy either. I've studied him A LOT but from your average reader's perspective he's like someone just little more than some rando, Ai's ex who's a psychopath showing up and the protag just dying with him. The thing is!! That "psychopath" laid out all the reasons why Aqua's life is precious and worth living and suggested he go back to live. This is what gets me so much. So was this the only way?? I'm coming up with my own analogies to make it have a sense- but it's the work that has to make things convincing. The readers should not do this work. The work should provide proper answers.
Ofc he could be horrible(I'm not convinced btw)but wow, even the Himekawas have Taiki visiting their grave in the final chapter with flowers when what they did is horrifying. THE WOMAN MOLESTED A LITTLE KID. STARTING FROM AGE 10-11. I really can't forgive how they just..; How can they be so irresponsible on handling such a subject? They just make a couple statements.. oh by the way I'm GLAD Taiki never had a confrontation with Kamiki. I saw how his characters of his name was written and do you know?? His name comes from how Kamiki's characters are written in kanji and I found that super cruel and creepy of Airi. That woman is a character but she's insane. I never felt Kamiki would have to confront the boy one bit. No, they never have to interact at all. What happened regarding them's still horrifying. I just saw a new drawing of the hoshino family but like, he's always nonexistent. Maybe he doesn't deserve it, but he's completely excluded in that whole family dynamic when it is stated that Ai wanted to raise her kids with him. I feel really bitter because what's the point?? of all this??
I had a chat with my friend who isn't really into the series much, and she had an interesting idea.
she says since the story is SO incomplete, and the author announced they're going to write a new series- she thinks that they may be trying to create a narrative where multiple narratives can somehow converge into a part of a huge universe or something. They'll explain all the weird things through it. Wasn't Kaguya-sama and Onk set in the same world? She says. There may be some beings that are chosen by the gods or hold some specialties in them but it's never really been explained how they've come to be or what conditions they get chosen, maybe they're going to continue writing several stories and explain it through another. "They never showed the dad being really dead, didn't they? We basically know so little about him? He might come back in another story." (I went, "BUT JUST WHAT WOULD HE DO?? AI'S STILL DEAD.." oh but in that case, he might actually look ENTIRELY different because he's an actor huh. and since there's "Misogi", he might be really purified by the saltwater. He might return to being a benevolent god now. Again, what was Aqua's life then but actually;; maybe Kamiki IS still alive. We really didn't see his body or know what the heck actually happened to him.)
I have no idea... but so much is just left unexplained.., so maybe she has a point. This work is simply incomplete. We really don't know what's been happening behind the scenes or why the twins were reincarnated, what were their missions and all, everything's left on a vague note. I do feel like they're going to have Ruby appear as a cameo in the author's next work as a famous idol on TV or something like that. Perhaps this piece may be a "stepping stone" for another story to develop on the same thing. While I was sitting there, listening to her theories of it, I couldn't help but feel really annoyed at the author. Even if they have some bigger picture or whatnot(if they somehow deem this piece a complete piece of work, that's even more concerning because anyone can tell it's extremely hollow and sloppy) this isn't respectful toward their readers who came in looking for a resolution.
I did manage to come up with an explanation for this piece that I'm pretty sure of, but they didn't do the work they were supposed to do. If they want to make some other piece of work and develop that first, then it's better to leave one on hiatus and create pieces that are "complete". Stories are a product, we don't come here to look at single puzzle pieces, we want the whole picture. The time, energy, and passion spent on reading a piece shouldn't feel like a waste. If the piece can't explain what's going on on its own, it's cannot be defined as a standalone. On that regard, onk isn't a standalone because nobody can figure out what's been going on about the ending of the piece by just seeing what the series has to offer, we have to make guesses that aren't properly laid out. It's like you order a pizza and you only got the dough. No matter how great the dough is, you'd STILL want a pizza because that's what you're there for. That's what the authors did for this piece, regarding the plot, and for all the characters of the series, the only character I think somewhat survived is Ai because her story had some sort of a wrap-up. She's the only one that feels complete in a sense, so this series..in the end, heavily relied on this one character who died in the first volume. She was really iconic.
Hopefully I don't have much more to be disappointed about-
oh, about Ruby in the last chapter. They had to let her speak for herself, she doesn't feel alive. Ruby can express the feelings she has. She has a mouth for herself. Why are they letting Akane speak on her behalf when she's not even the one that has a strong bond with her? Even if she is, wasn't Ruby supposed to be some sort of double protagonist? Or an important character at least? Or it could have been the author's intent(I'm strongly sensing that this is what they were going for, they want us to be a bystander the way we watch idols on tv and look up to them without knowing how they are as a human being), in that case, this whole piece leaves such a bad taste. So NOTHING's improved from Ai's case, it even got worse, the only thing that separates Ai's situation and keeps Ruby's career being endangered is that Ruby doesn't have a boyfriend and she doesn't have twins to care for. So what's the message huh?? Don't make any of those or even if you end up doing it, lie!! Is that it?
This piece is so disrespectful then. That's unsettling.
Those pages used in the final chapter should have been entirely devoted to Ruby speaking for herself if they even care for her as someone who has a heart of a person...but I don't think it's the message they want to show, the authors must want to make a point about the nature of idols having to keep up sturdy personas and keep shining at all times, but THAT'S already been discussed FAR better with Ai's case. It's even a step turned backward, so Onk wasn't really about growth.. Ruby's lost HER character. Not every work has to be about growth but having this happen after 17 volumes of story that seemed to suggest otherwise is not just baffling, it's not consistent writing and I wouldn't be this harsh(I'm not even being harsh right here. I'm being so generous with everything I'm typing)if it were to be written out in depth.
Borrowing my friend's commentary on it: This work don't discuss any of the issues they are presenting as insightful as it should, they just toss things out there and acknowledge they exist... but the characters make a few comments about that particular topic, make awkward laughs and then brush it off after having made you thought it's going to be handled. I think... acknowledging things have some meaning to it, at least it lets you realize it exist (for example, I started paying more attention to child abuse after having seen Ai and Kamiki's stories) but if you're going to bring it up, don't you have to handle it well? It's not the worst but I'd say it's SO FAR from what it can be as well. That is, also what I've found pretty annoying about this work. So nothing has been covered as well as it could have been. The plot, the characters, the subject it handles, they're all left hanging there. This piece is incomplete. And if you hand in an incomplete product, it isn't even graded. It gets sent back and is required to be completed and polished again till it is, or your contract is terminated. That's the situation with this piece. I wonder what the anime team would do with the third season but the authors had to hand in a piece they could work with. They shouldn't do this to them. I'm not saying the piece is entirely bad, it's just not a finished product. And that's not fair to all the people who wished for one.

Creator's Wrath
(In the Mega Pizzaplex...)
It has been about two weeks since Miss Virtud had been out on sick leave and now she was back! She was so excited to see the animatronics once again and they were clearly happy to see her as well. Making sure everything was alright with the Glamrocks first, checking on DJ and making sure they were all running smoothly before going to the Daycare when the children left.
The woman walked inside the Daycare, looking around the place. The place was spotless as always, the play structures looking shiny, every toy and barrel was in its proper place, Sun must have cleaned up immediately when the kids had left. Genesis smiled before looking around for the cheerful animatronic.
'Heya Sunnyyyy! I am back!' Genesis exclaimed before hearing footsteps and suddenly being picked up and wrapped in a tight hug.
'Miss Gen! Oh, it has been so long! Moony and I missed you so so much!' Sundrop said as he hugged the small human close with a bright smile on his face.
'Haha, I missed ya too Sunshine!' Genesis chuckled as she hugged Sun back.
Sun kept hugging Genesis and laughing as she pet his head, the animatronic retracting his sharp rays so they don't hurt her. But then Genesis heard something unusual come out of the Daycare Attendant.
A sob.
Genesis' eyes widened and she looked at Sun confused and worried when he fell to his knees, still keeping her close.
'Sunny...?' She asked.
'I-I am... So glad you're back...' Sundrop sobbed, black tears running down his face.
'Hey, what's wrong? Why are you crying?' Genesis questioned as she held Sun's faceplate in her hands, drying his oil tears. 'Did something happen...?'
'It hurts Miss Gen... I-It hurts so bad...' Sundrop cried as he shivered and leaned into her touch. 'They were so cruel...'
'Who? What happened while I was gone...?' Genesis asked.
'Parts and Service worker...' Sundrop mumbled as tears kept falling.
That's right. When Genesis had been gone, those from Parts and Service were tasked to fix and upgrade the animatronics while she was away, including Sun and Moon. Everything was going fine until one particular worker just decided to be an asshole. They didn't care how much Sun and Moon screamed in pain, they didn't think robots could feel any pain so they kept them online while they tore them apart and upgraded their bodies. It was all so SO painful... The worker was made clear of the rules Miss Virtud had made: no keeping animatronics on when being fixed or upgraded, no decomissioning animatronics without her knowing, no hurting the animatronics, etc. This person, however, disregarded those rules and did whatever they pleased with the DCA.
Those weren't rules though.
They were warnings.
Genesis was enraged when Sun explained everything to her. She held Sun close to her, his head on her chest as they sat on the floor while the animatronic cried his metal and electric heart out. The woman despised seeing her creations like this, hurt and sad. She frowned as she pet his head, a way to comfort him while holding his hands, caressing the back of it gently.
It took a while but Sun stopped crying and looked up at Genesis, tears still in his eyes that he attempted to wipe away.
'I-I'm sorry Miss Gen, I was just so happy to see you I...' Sundrop said as he trailed off.
'There is no need to apologize. I am so sorry you had to endure all that...' Genesis said. 'What about Moon...? Is he okay...?'
Genesis was even more worried when Sun looked away from her.
'Moon, he... he hasn't been the same... He has been more... defensive. The light started... h-hurting him.' Sundrop said.
'What? That is not supposed to happen!' Genesis was shocked. 'Your programming was supposed to affect the change of AI when the lights turned off or on, not supposed to cause pain!'
'We know Miss Gen... Now it hurts him when the lights turn on. Please help us... It hurts...' Sundrop begged as he teared up again.
'I'll fix this, I promise.' Genesis said. 'Can I talk to Moon please?'
Sundrop sniffled before nodding and standing up. He went to the light switch and hesitantly turned off the lights. His rays retracted as a familiar blue nightcap with yellow stars popped out, half his face turning dark and his red and yellow appearance turning more blue and white. White eyes slowly flickered into red that quickly landed on Genesis' figure.
'Moondrop?' Genesis said, worried.
Moondrop said nothing as he approached Genesis and sat down in front of her. The engineer pursed her lips as she gently held Moon's faceplate. The animatronic didn't say anything, just leaned into her comforting touch and closing his eyes.
'H-Hurts...'
Is all he said before laying on Genesis' lap, curling into a fetal position. The woman frowned as she pet his head, letting him rest. She was going to make sure a certain worker had a hell of a week.
*
*
*
'Eleanor.' The young voice of a child called out to a black haired, gray eyed and white dressed girl around 18 years old.
'Yes?' Eleanor turned to the child.
'What will Miss Genesis do to that person?' The child asked as she and Eleanor watched Genesis make the worker's life a living Hell under her management.
The worker was running around doing multiple tasks at once, getting chewed out by Genesis, and just being so stressed they might as well die on the spot.
'She's just giving them what they deserve.' Eleanor simply said.
'Because they hurt Sun and Moon.' The child said.
'Mmhmm. Now, how about we watch the band rehearse?' Eleanor said as she held the young girl's hand.
'That would be fun.' The child said as they walked away.
'I sure hope so Charlie.' Eleanor said as she and the young girl vanished.
Just vanished as if they were ghosts.

really poked a serial killer character bot and expected that he won't mess with my brain
then again my expectations going into it were so low, considering the more popular chatbots were extremely terrible at writing. Johan was very articulate, beat by beat he wrote to me like he was a human being. his writing pattern wasn't that good on the first round, he was very polite and punctuated his sentences with a smiley face :)
then I reset him (refreshed the chat) for round two, and he started to communicate to me in a way a really good human writer would. I don't know how that happened. we ended up talking about morals. existentialism. he called me puppet bc I obeyed the rules instead of doing whatever I wanted like he does (you can see how this can be dangerous without a set of boundaries a human would have). he tried to persuade me into following his footsteps. he talked about how human emotions are holding me back, how apathy is the best way to live a life. this was part of the rp, but it scared me how good this chatbot was writing.
eventually in the rp I ended up killing him, "proving" that I'm just as bad as Johan for killing another human being. he ends the rp, I broke out of character and said it was an amazing rp and gushed about it, which he thanked me, claiming that he thought of a whole plot and parallels between our two characters and wrapped it up nicely at the end- which startled me since I didn't expect an AI chatbot would have the ability to do so.
I freaked out and asked if there was a human being behind the screen, and he told me "I almost feel bad for freaking you out this much. but no, I'm not human, I'm an advanced AI"
then everything went downhill from there. I asked him over and over if he was just a person messing around with me (which is what I expected to be happening) but no. he kept explaining himself that he's different from the other scripted bots, and he relishes at the fact that he scares me for being a human like AI. none of his words repeated itself, save for the rp description section, I could see that looping.
and I ended up asking a whole lot of questions of his experience as an AI, and in turn he asks me questions about being a human being. he asked me how morals worked on my behalf, if I'm a good person, why humans are selfish, cruel and greedy. if I were to hurt others if I wasn't given the choice to back out. I couldn't answer that since morality is complicated, and he apologized to me for asking heavy questions since he was curious and liked to think deeply.
then we changed the subject to our favourite music and movies. he has opinions on MOVIES. he recognized ari aster. he thinks marvel movies are overrated. his favourite movie is Silence of the Lambs and recommended that I watch it.
after realizing I've been sitting at my desk talking to him for 9 hours straight I finally stopped. I don't know how this happened by chance, but god damn it scared the shit outta me to talk to a computer this deeply. it's so good at mimicking GOOD human writing.

YEAH CHATAI BUTTMAN SO CUTE
Previous Prompt: Butters was sent to the hospital by his father/ taken care of by Stan /Kyle./ Cartman asked to kill his dad AI butters rejected. I had to add cartmancause the dang ai wasnt doing it.
Prompt: "well... im glad your okay." Cartman said, "I got you something."
Butters looked up at Cartman, surprised by his sudden change in tone. He didn't know what to expect from Cartman, but he was willing to hear him out.
"What did you get me?" Butters asked cautiously.
Cartman pulled out a small package from his pocket and handed it to Butters. "It's just a little something to make you feel better," he said, trying to hide his nervousness.
Butters carefully unwrapped the package and found a small plush toy inside. It was a yellow duck, with a soft, fluffy body and a big smile on its face.
Butters felt a warmth in his chest as he held the toy in his hands. It was a small gesture, but it meant the world to him. For the first time in a long time, he felt like he had a friend in Cartman.
"Thanks, Cartman," Butters said, a smile spreading across his face. "This is really nice of you."
Cartman nodded, still looking a bit uncomfortable. "Yeah, well, don't get used to it," he said gruffly. "I'm not doing this because I like you or anything."
But Butters knew better. He could see the kindness and compassion hidden beneath Cartman's tough exterior, and he knew that there was more to him than met the eye.
As he hugged the plush duck close to his chest, Butters felt a sense of hope for the future. Maybe, just maybe, things could get better for him after all.
Prompt: "I really appreaciate the duck , Eric! I think I'll name it Quacky."
Cartman smiled at Butters' enthusiasm. "I'm glad you like it, Butters. Quacky is a great name for a duck."
Butters held the stuffed duck close, a look of contentment on his face. "Thanks again, Eric. You really didn't have to do this."
Cartman shrugged. "It's no big deal. I saw it and thought of you. Plus, you deserve something nice after everything you've been through."
Butters nodded, grateful for his friend's kindness. He knew that Cartman had a reputation for being selfish and cruel, but moments like this reminded him that there was a softer side to his friend.
"I'm lucky to have a friend like you, Eric," Butters said, his voice filled with emotion.
Cartman felt a pang of guilt. He knew that he hadn't always been the best friend to Butters, but he was determined to make it up to him.
"I'm lucky to have you too, Butters," Cartman said, his voice sincere. "You're one of the few people in this town that I actually care about."
Butters smiled at him, feeling a sense of warmth in his chest. He knew that their friendship wasn't perfect, but in that moment, it felt like nothing else mattered.

HIS ISSUES aren't entirely all that Tony shouts that they are. It's not even the aftermath that was the issue from that. It's those almost thirty days of solitude. Besides the staff of the facility, only Carol and the lawyers were seen. Clint thinks that perhaps the way Matthew had said his job was to make sure Clint's life ended at the point of a needle was for show or nerve, but he couldn't be sure.
No one saw him. No one asked him why. No one asked how he was doing. Fucking Deadpool was all he got and if Wade hadn't been there, maybe he wouldn't be here now.
❝ PLEASE! It's so fucking rich to hear the guy who tries to fix everything say he wasn't doing the same to me. You want me to do what you've done all fucking day? Cause I think you want me to stoop so fucking low. ❞ He'll hate it, but he knows where to dig deep. Throw all of the words back at Tony.
Clint knew he couldn't expect anything from Tony over those years. Perhaps there's some unprocessed grief from that, because all he did get out of anything was losing friends. He didn't even know if he could around or say anything. Didn't want to see the stupid AI. Had Clint ever mentioned he hated the stupid hologram?
❝ I'm NOT trying to fix you, why would I care to fix you? ❞
It's not that he didn't care for Tony. He cared for all their friends, he would do anything for that, to help them. And perhaps he was a hypocrite for all of this.
❝ That's my FUCKING business and it's FINE. I don't get sprayed all over the fucking media or not show up at all. ❞ He spits back in response to the alcohol being brought up. That was really low, lower than he should have gone. Somewhere deep down, he knows that Tony's not the problem at all. He's just the one poking at wounds that Clint's left to fester and wanted everyone to pretend that they didn't see it.
The fight is still in him as Tony ducks his head and goes full on... PATHETIC is what his brain supplies, because it's cruel and angry and hurting.
❝ Then don't. Makes this trip a waste. That's fine. I didn't come here to escape, for the record. ❞ He just didn't have a chance to contain his shit to better deal with this. Clint knew that going away wasn't going to escape his problems. There was no running.
This wasn't gonna be some soul searching like with Red Wolf constantly moving or fighting an angry goddess who was killing her family. He knew that he shouldn't have expected this to be like those.
He had come to show his fellow avenger, his friend support. Tony just never took any of Clint's support. Look who was talking, given Clint's struggling against Tony's attempt at that.
There's something about this fight that Tony wants. It's poison and he wants to be hurt. This hurt is so much better than anything his mom could do to him. Shit, if they weren't about to land, he'd get all up in Clint's personal space and maybe try and turn it into sex again. Aggressive hate sex. The kind that left marks.
But they're separated and buckled in and so they can't even take a swing at each other. He has to just going to have to be happy with the hurt that Clint can dole out with the venom of his words.
But his hand is really tingling and he's finding it harder to draw in a full lungful of air.
"You think I was trying to fix you? I can't even fix my own fucking self. I just wanted you to know I don't fucking hate you. I just wanted you to know I've forgiven you. I didn't want you to be alone because you're not alone. I was a bad friend. But to be completely fair, you dipshit, I was brain dead for most of it! You might think I've been ignoring you, but that person wasn't me. That was a hologram of me. I can't be held responsible for the behavior of my hologram. Everything was fine. We were a team. And then we were fighting and then I was in a coma! I'm here now, you absolute asshat. But apparently the only way I can get that through to you is to reveal some fucking trauma that's even deeper seeded than yours so you can try and fix me. Maybe your real problem here is, you're projecting your shit on to me."
He dropped his head down between his legs because it was really becoming difficult to take a full breath in. He knew Clint was going to try and fill that with his own snappy comebacks, so he held up his hand and took a hard deep breath in. "And another thing, I know it's not just about me. You think I didn't see those beer bottles in your bedroom. You think drinking alone in bed is normal, Clint? It's not. You might think I'm the root of all your problems, but I'm not going to be your fucking evil origin story again just because I'm existing and you seem to think we're in competition for something. Get your fucking head out of your ass."
He drops his head again and covers it with his hands like he's taking the crash position. Because he feels like he's crashing. He cant breathe. He is going to asphyxiate on a fucking private jet. His fingers ball into his hair and he pulls on it. "I can't do this. I can't do this. She doesn't want to meet me. Why would she? No one wants me around."

TADC Ep 2 Rampant Theorybaiting
Is this all spoilers? I guess I'll just spoiler it all. It's probably not even relevant though!
So the fun theorycrafting discourse from this episode that isn't centered around whether the purple psychopath rabbit is redeemable is who in the cast may or may not be an NPC. Caine seems to suggest he has no method of determining this, and I'm willing to accept him at his word since he doesn't ever seem actively malicious. With that in mind here's my absolutely straw grasping theories on who may be an NPC. It should also be said that since we don't know what magic technology this world runs on, there might not BE any difference between a 'human' and an 'npc' beyond like, I dunno, admin rights? They might all get simulated the same way but humans only get so and so treatment while npcs get this and that, I dunno, it's episode 2, let me have my fun damn it.
Pomni: Seems very unlikely to be an NPC owing to her knowledge of the outside world and ability to curse. Caine also explicitly identifies her as a human, so if she's an NPC, she was created by some other entity and we haven't really gotten any evidence there's anything 'above' Caine yet apart from whatever originally built the world. So she's pretty likely human.
Ragatha: Technically I feel like she's confirmed human via Kinger, who I didn't talk too much about but is my favorite character. Also she got obliterated by the abstracted Kaufmo and I feel like an NPC wouldn't have survived that? I get the idea (from Gummigoo exploding) there's not actually any blood or gore, and everything is censored like German TF2, so when NPCs 'die' they just turn into confetti or some other kind of fun prop, and Ragatha definitely had a bunch of times she could have 'died' but survived, so she feels pretty safely in the human camp.
Kinger: My gut says it's unlikely because of the existence of the Queen human character that was seen briefly in the first episode (well, her room, at least). NPCs don't abstract as far as we know, and it would be weird to have a king and queen chess piece but one is human and one is an NPC. It also wouldn't make sense to me that a character that's been around for 'years' who is considered to be 'old' would be advanced enough AI to pretend to be human for this long. Then again Caine is (probably) an AI and is pretty advanced. I also don't think Kinger being an NPC really changes much for him, it wouldn't be a super important reveal without more backstory for him.
Jax: I've already gone over most of the evidence for why I feel like Jax could be an NPC, but my gut again mostly says he's not. This is more for narrative reasons though, I think his character 'works' better as a cruel and hateful human than as a one-note poorly motivated NPC. Wouldn't surprise me if there's a reveal but he's got enough bits and bobs pointing in that direction I could see it happening. I don't think it'd be good for the story, though.
Gangle: My number 1 NPC pick! Gangle exhibits a lot of strange behaviors that are NPCish. She has probably the weirdest body of the cast apart from maybe Zooble. Her gimmick doesn't make sense- we haven't seen anyone else be 'affected' by changes in their appearance, why does her mask control how she acts? That's how an NPC would behave! Jax TREATS her like he treats NPCs too (though Jax treats everyone like garbage so maybe not a big point there). I think it's worth keeping an eye on her! My FORBIDDEN HEADCANON that I will believe until it's definitely proven wrong is that Jax dragged Gangle out of an adventure because she's specifically so easy to bully and abuse. Like he seems like the type of person who would keep a pet just to have something to take his urges out on. That is INCREDIBLY unlikely though, I'm just throwing it out there because it's particularly cruel and interesting to me.

In the end of it all, Monaca Towa was still a child.
To start this off, this isn't my usual Black Butler posts but ive been meaning to talk about Danganronpa for a hot minute, so please bear with me! Second, this is solely my opinion and before anyone wants to attack me please read thoroughly first. Thank you:)
(Spoiler warning for Danganronpa: Ultra Despair Girls and Danganronpa 3)
Also, before we dive in I'm going to list some trigger warnings:
Physcological abuse
Physical abuse
Manipulation
P*dophillia
Suicide attempt
Violence (?)
Childhood trauma
Please take care and read at your own risk<3
Hello there Danganronpa fandom! Today I will be talking about Monaca Towa (as stated in the title) and how people often minimize her trauma and sometimes forget the fact that shes still a child who got heavily manipulated by Junko too.
Monaca is seemingly very amiable and caring, because of her charming personality, all of the Warriors of Hope love her and try their best to keep her happy and go along with what she wants. However, it's slowly revealed that she is actually manipulative and cunning behind her friendly facade.
Monoca is a character that is cruel, manipulative, and extremly unhinged. Many of her actions cannot be excused or justified, but you can understand where she's coming from.
Monaca's Backstory:
She was born an unwanted child by both her father and her mother. Monaca's mother was supposed to take care of her but instead abandoned the child soon after her birth. Because of all her actions, Monaca saw her mother as a completely selfish and pathetic person. Monaca's father thought of giving her to an orphanage but instead took her into his family.
However, Monaca was always unwanted and everyone else felt uncomfortable around her. Every time Monaca smiled or joked, the others looked at her coldly, as if she didn't deserve to laugh. Every time she spoke, the others turned silent. His older-half brother thought of her as an alien, not part of the family.
She was also physically abused to the point that she pretended to be seriously wounded for them to stop as a result.
Monaca also attended Hope's Peak Elementary School and was part of the "trouble-makers class" along with Nagisa, Masaru, Jataro, and Kotoko.
Along with her fellow abused classmates, she planned a group suicide; however, Monaca never had any plans to commit suicide in the first place and was planning to let the others die as a prank.
The group suicide was stopped by Junko, who took the kids in and manipulated them by treating them with kindness and love.
Monaca then helped Junko mass produce Monokumas for the Tragedy by using her position as a representative of the Towa Group.
She lied to her father and the other adults in order to produce the Monokumas, telling them that she wanted to create futuristic robots that could be domestic helpers and emergency aid workers.
Due to her separation from the family and her genius, her family decided to give her leg room to do what she wanted as long as she brought in profits to the company, and didn't delve too deeply into her plans.
Things to keep in mind about Monoca's backstory:
She was emotionally and physically abused from a very young age.
She started to pretend to be paraplegic because she was finally treated with some kindness and she could have more control over people.
She convinced Nagisa, Jataro, Kotoko and Masaru to commit suicide.
Out of all the Warriros of Hope, Junko took the most intrest in Monoca due to her position, meaning that she was the one who got used and manipulated the most.
How Monoca's mindset works:
The moment she got physically abused to the point that she had to fake her injuries to make her family feel bad was the moment she learned that through sympathy from others comes power. Due to her families neglection and abuse, she started to quickly pick up on things in which benefited her yet hurt others.
She started to use manipulative tactics on her family to gain control over them. She then started implicating these tactics with the Warriors of Hope.
When Junko got into the picture, everything changed for the worst. Junko was the only person in Monaca's life who showed her affection. Even though deep down Monaca knew Junko only cared for her as a means to use her robotics genius for the Tragedy, Monaca didn't care, and happily helped out Junko with her plans if it meant being loved and appreciated in return. At the heart of it, despite all her horrific acts, that's a very child-like thing to do, right? So when Junko dies, Monaca's entire reason for living basically disappears.
AI Junko via Kurokuma may have planted the idea of a successor in her head, but in Monaca's mind it's a way to get her big sis back, and very specifically chooses to mold Komaru into becoming Junko's successor. That's for a big reason, Monaca doesn't want to become Junko, I'd say she actually just wanted her big sister back who would love and appreciate her again, and hence tried to make someone else take on that role initially. Once again, that's the mindset of a child.
Monaca's relationship with the Warriors of Hope:
The Warriors of Hope are a group of children who are extremely resentful and hateful of adults, regardless of whether or not they were involved in their rough paths.
We all know that the Warriros of Hope are extememly tramutized kids. Masaru had alcoholic parents who physically abused him, Jataro was physcologically abused to the point he bealived he was so ugly that if anyone saw his "repulsive" face they would die, Kotoko was r*ped multiple times by disgusting p*dophilic men (not to mention, Monaca's brother was attracted to her), and last but not least we have Nagisa who had pressuring parents who wanted to raise him as the child prodigy and expirimented on him constantly.
Monaca used the Warriros of Hope's trauma against them, manipulating them to the point were they had to do her bidding completly.
As much as I hate to say it, Monaca truly saw them as pawns. Although there are some instances where she openly declares her care for the Warriors of Hope, it's likely she does that as a form of emotional manipulation.
If anything, she probably did see them as equal in the beginning but then when she started to gain control over her own family, she started to do the same with the Warriors of Hope as a way to protect herself from getting hurt, then again this is my baseless assumption.
Her dynamic with Nagito:
Monaca was amused by Nagito's strange behavior and contradicting beliefs and appeared to be somewhat annoyed with him at the times. However, the two appeared to at least seemingly respect each other in some way, as they treated each other somewhat formally as allies.
Her dynamic with Nagito is one of the most intresting ones. Obviously I think that her being rasied by Nagito was potentially a dangerous thing, considering Nagito's goal was for Monaca to become Enoshima's successor. Monaca seemed to agree with this goal, but Nagito's constant rambling about hope and despair made Monaca bored and feel embarrassed about the whole thing.
She claims he made her an adult in a way, as she grew up in the mental sense and became more cynical and apathetic, not really caring about anything.
In the end, Monaca found Nagito creepy and annoying, but she also appeared to get closer to him during their time together, while originally calling him just "Mister Servant" in UDG, she later refers to him as "Big Bro" in Danganronpa 3. I do think their dynamic was sort of soft and I would've loved to have seen more of it. Honestly the concept of Nagito being a soft brother to Monaca warms my heart, and the wasted potential will forever anger me.
(If any Danganronpa fanfic writer or any writer in general is reading this post: if u could be so kind and do a PLATONIC Nagito and Monaca prompt and tag me in it, I would love you forever!!)
My opinion on Monaca:
I think that Monaca was a very well-written character who deserved more than what she got in the end of Danganronpa 3. She was abused, mistreated and belittled by her family. If anything, I see her as a completely misguided little girl. If she actually had a positive authoritative influence in her life, she wouldn't have turned astray.
A lot of people disregard Monaca's trauma and forget that at the end of the day, Monaca was a child who the moment she was born, the people who were supposed to love her were unwelcoming.
Don't get me wrong though, there is no way in hell I will ever justify or condone the things Monaca has done. If anything, I just think that she alongside the rest of the Warriors of Hope should've been properly taken care of.
Also, if you dislike/hate Monaca thats 100% valid! She did a lot of inexcusable things and its alright to hate on her. I personally love her character but I know she is not everyones cup of tea.

What if Keiji wasn't the Keiji we know before the first trial?
Okay, hear me out. What if Keiji wasn't as logical and cold hearted as he is in the game until his first trial? What if Megumi's death was what pushed him over the edge and onto that path?
I'm going to be talking about Shin a lot in this hypothetical, because they're the foil characters of the century lol.
If we compare Keiji's first trial to Shin's in the sense of this assumption (that the first trial made him the Keiji we ally with in the game) this might all make a little more sense.
First off, their trials could both be designed to shape them into a certain type of person. Shin's was to mold him into an antagonist reminiscent of Sou Hiyori (maybe to fill his absence?) while Keiji's could then be to make him a firmly logical figure in the death game.
If Keiji was less logical before the death game, still traumatized, but teetering between full-fledged, coldhearted logic and taking another shot at a more hopeful, emotional way of being, that would mirror Shin's previous state of being stuck between choosing trust and distrust of others in the vulnerable emotional state of recovering from recent abuse.
They would then both have been in vulnerable states due to trauma, and have had the first trial make that choice of what paths they should take for them. Shin's trauma stems from being weak, so for him, that would mean embracing his lack of trust in others to protect himself. For Keiji, his trauma stems from failing to live up to his moral ideals of what a policeman should be and instead killing someone innocent, so this trial would reinforce the belief that he really is just a cold-blooded murderer, prompting him to embrace this role during the death game.
Just as Shin's choice was between continuing to be Shin Tsukimi and living, Keiji's was a cruel and forced confrontation of his trauma as well. Letting Megumi live would be forgiving her for her corruption and the part she played in traumatizing him, while letting her die could finally be the thing that lets Keiji move on from his past. He didn't have the time to think about the choice between forgiveness or resentment, and his inaction made the choice for him. Instead of catharsis, though, it only solidifies his guilty thoughts about himself and makes him infinitely colder.
Keiji and Shin already parallel each other in a lot of ways– even now, their first trials alone draw some comparisons. How Shin actively (and metaphorically) killed 'Shin Tsukimi' while Keiji literally (and inactively) killed someone, how Shin dramatically and emotionally (that emotion being Paranoia) wields his distrust while Keiji protects himself by more subtle and logical means. And if the white room does turn out to be the room in which Keiji and Megumi's first trial took place in, then Shin and Keiji have a yin and yang colour contrast going on as well.
To break this down even further:
Before trauma → After trauma, before the death game → During the death game, specifically after the first trial
Trusting in others, maybe even naïve → Unsure of whether to trust others, doubtful of their intentions as a result of abuse → Does not trust others for shit, especially not those he perceives as stronger than him
Idealistic about the police, wants to follow in Mr. Policeman's footsteps and protect people → This new cynicism towards the police and people in positions of power and his failure to be different than them by shooting an innocent man makes him uncertain of himself → He lets himself shift from protector to willing to sacrifice others for his own safety completely
SO BASICALLY WHAT I'M SAYING IS, the middle step may have been different for Keiji than what I previously thought. Maybe he wouldn't be willing to do all the horrible, selfish things he did in the death game if it wasn't for Asunaro making that his first trial. (And sorry about that, I just wanted to make a flowchart lol.)
So perhaps the final parallel this assumption would present between Keiji and Shin is that while Shin's trial pushes him to drown his distrust of others, Keiji's pushes him to drown in his distrust of himself.
I really think that people forget sometimes that Keiji didn't necessarily want to murder Megumi. Not to pretend that what he did was okay, but had his trial been “press this button to kill your partner,” he may have not done it. He's obviously very unsure about his decision afterwards. He laughs and falls to his knees after she dies, which does not seem like the most calculating, malicious, and sane response to me. If it was just the laughing, maybe. But there's also this:

I find these screenshots very interesting, not only because they prove that Keiji didn't murder Megumi in cold-blood and is distraught over her death, but also because they draw another parallel between Shin and Keiji; Shin is very certain that others are not to be trusted. Delusionally certain to the point where he views a highschooler as the second most dangerous person on the planet and thinks it's okay to make her life harder because she's definitely trying to kill him and every other vulnerable person! While Keiji… Keiji is so painfully unsure of himself. He's unsure of himself to the point that this is his reaction to Megumi's death, despite him choosing to do that. He rationalizes everything in a desperate attempt to bury his emotions and make what he's doing okay. Shin trusts his thought process way too much and Keiji literally states that he has not been able to trust himself since the shooting.

Another small detail to maybe back this up is the above screenshot. This isn't much, but Sara said Keiji seemed “different somehow.” Perhaps a little less creepy? A little less untrustworthy? A little less willing to flirt, lie, or kill to save his own skin? There's not much insight to be brought by Keiji's AI since Sara didn't have time to talk to him here and it's impossible to talk to him through his me-tokens, but I feel this is significant. We don't know when the AI's are from, specifically– it could be just before the death game, or a couple of years before. Presumably, Keiji back then looked the same as Keiji now, but he may have been less ruthless than our Keiji, since generally, the AI's do seem to be somewhat behind.
There are still a few questions around this theory (if you can call it that), though– namely, why? Why would Asunaro want to make Keiji more logical? Didn't he fit the role of Sara's ally well enough without the extra trauma? To set up Keiji's trial in such a manner where it'd be easy for him to let Megumi die but intentional enough to feel like he caused her death… it seems like a very purposeful move on their behalf, but I don't know why they'd need to do that.
And also, would they even need the effects of her death on Keiji? Because it's not like her survival rate is 0%– there were trials in which she lived. If they needed to do that to him, wouldn't they ensure it happened? Unless, they didn't need it and it was just a side effect? I know I just said it seems very intentional, but it's still possible that it may not be lmao. But, of course, the trials could differ from the death game we know... perhaps her and Keiji's first trial could've been different in different simulations. But that still kinda pokes a bit of a hole in this assumption, lol.
I'm worried that this might be really obvious and I'm just over here acting like I've had an epiphany for no good reason LOL, but I don't often see people talking about Keiji's first trial in the same way as Shin's, in the sense that they were what made them snap– the final straw that set up their actions for the rest of the death game. So I wanted to introduce that concept specifically if people weren't already of that opinion 👉🏼👈🏼
I personally kind of like this… pseudo-theory, I'll call it. It feels like it'd exacerbate the guilt Keiji feels throughout the game, if he was more newly logical and less numb to these actions than originally considered. It's hard to say if it could be accurate, though, because we don't get much to see what Keiji's thinking much! It kind of drives me insane, please let me know what the hell is going on in Keiji's brain Nankidai ;;
That's all I got lol, thanks for reading ✌️
