outside of just that i feel like you could take it a couple different ways:

just a straight up au, no fears or anything just micheal the goblin king and gerry the fantasy loving goth. literally just the plot of labyrinth but dropping these two into sarah and jareth’s places.

more of a fusion, the fears do exist but the labyrinth is either a part of the spiral or just flat out Is the spiral in this universe. bonus points for having gerry learn about the labyrinth and it’s monstrous king from either meeting/reading a statement from sarah herself about a certain red leather bound spiral leitner

is purely self indulgent crack, they watch the movie together and gerry mentions how hot he thinks david bowie is. micheal hears that and spiral logic says “hm, kidnapping and threats in a nearly impossible maze huh? i can do that!”

Hi! I recently saw W2H2 part 1 and I must say it’s pretty amazing! Even better then the first one (which I loved btw), I know you anticipated that it wouldn’t have been full done, but I still wished the animation and the coloring were completed, like the first short. Nevertheless It has its charm anyway so good job, still amazing as always ! I just wanted to ask a few questions about Mephistopheles:

1) Is Mephistopheles actually capable of being evil and doing evil things as well ? Is he the type of guy that is usually pretty chill but can get REALLY angry if you piss him off? At the end of the first act, he said to Sock that he would fired him if he didn’t complete the job… did he mean literally “to fire him” (like burn or hurt him), or just meant “fired from the job” without causing him any harm? I am very curious about this character, I find him pretty charming and interesting! (I also love his character design)

2) How long will it be before the second and third parts of W2H2 release more or less (Months, years…)? And how long each part will be? Don’t wanna put preassure on you ofc , I’m just curious but I will be patient if that’s the case!

haha... yeah I'm getting that comment from a lot of people. But idk, when I look at the first short it looks pretty incomplete to me! Like to me, I think having better animation and less color is a decent trade-off, but I guess for a lot of people the color really did a lot of heavy-lifting. Anyway, I know it's a little disappointing, but my options were "call it good enough and post it", or "drive myself crazy working on it until I die", I know that sounds dramatic, and maybe I could've forced myself to finish at least throwing color on it, but I don't know, I didn't want to start resenting the thing I'm supposed to be passionate about. I kinda put myself between a rock and a hard place, didn't I? Sorry for the rant! I'm glad you enjoyed it anyway, haha. UHHH on to questions! 1. Mephistopheles is complicated. Or at least, I think he is, and I'm trying to figure out what that balance is. (I have an entire wordpad file full of notes/thoughts on Mephistopheles from one of my friends who's given a surprising amount of thought to the morality of the character that I'm gonna have to reference moving forward, haha). But as for my original thoughts on the character--- I don't consider him evil, but I think he's capable of doing things we would call 'evil', just like any human is. And like humans, he can be motivated by flawed, negative thoughts and feelings; spite, revenge, jealousy, whatever. But unlike humans he exists outside of space and time, and he's not a human himself, so his perception of morality is just different. The "you're fired" comment is meant to be a little confusing... like, you come to expect these stupid hell jokes from him, but then he clarifies "that wasn't a pun". And he's the devil, so maybe he's not joking. He COULD condemn Sock to hell. So that's the stakes of the story! If Meph is serious, Sock could be in a lot of trouble. We're not sure exactly how lenient he's going to be, or how trust-worthy he is. He's the devil! Toying with people is kind of his whole thing! haha. 2. It's not gonna' be another 10 years, that's for sure!!! Most of Part 2 is already rough animated (at least as much as Part 1 has been). There's still... one or two scenes that need more animation, and pretty much every shot of Shadow!Jonathan still needs to be done. It also needs more backgrounds, but there's FEWER backgrounds in Part 2 (Hell is just a re-usable Shadow-Realmy-y void), and a lot of the stuff from Jonathan's house can be re-used with different lighting. I'll have a better idea of the timeline once I sit down and crack it open again... and it's about to get kind of busy with the holidays and all, but it should be finished some time next year! Hopefully in the first half of 2025! I'll try to keep everyone posted. Anyway thanks for your questions! Hope this helped!

The Sticky Note Game

Summary: You have a silly little game that you, Jake, and Steven play. But someone accidentally messes it up and ends up finding out about said game.

Warnings: None that I actually know of. “Y/N” is used two times.

Author’s Snip: Just a cute thought I had and wanted to write about.

  It was a game that was originally between you and Jake. It worked like tag where someone was it and they had to make the other person it. But instead of running around the flat and making a bunch of ruckus you would write on a piece for sticky note and hide it where the other would see it. You weren’t sure when this started but it was a thing the two of you did together and was actually really fun when it came down to watching and waiting for the other to see the note and then be it. Well, it was between just you and Jake till Steven found the sticky note that was meant to get Jake. 

  He was looking through the fridge to see if there were any items that would expire soon. Jake had some beer bottles on one of the shelves that he placed next to the oat milk which he was going to check until he noticed the sticky note attached to one of the bottles that had “You’re it >:)” written on it. He took it off and asked you why it was there.

  You laughed for a bit and told the even more confused Steven about this game you played with Jake. Steven nodded in understanding before looking back at the sticky note and then asking “So, what? Does this mean I’m it now?”.

  After that, you and Jake had changed the rules to make the game fair. You needed to write who its to, who it was making the tag, no double tags, and you couldn’t say if you knew where a sticky note was. Oh, and co-fronting when a sticky note was being made was cheating because the two alters could tag each other and if you are co-fronting when your tagging note was found by another it counts because you technically saw it.

  This game of three went on for a long while too. 

  Till there was a bit of an issue...

  It had been two whole months, and no new sticky note was found and you were starting to get suspicious. You were it and had made a note that would tag Steven by putting the note on the back of one of his books. But Steven made no sign that he saw it. Which didn’t make sense since the book moved spots. So he had to have seen it and had made a sticky note to tag someone else. But none appeared. You even went looking for a note, regardless of it would make you it again. 

  Out of all of the players to possibly cheat, Steven seemed like he would never. But you shouldn’t put it past him, Steven can be a bastard if he wants to be. 

  But it turns out that all three of you were silently eyeing each other up since there was no sign of and new tags. Soon Steven decided to go looking for a new sticky note in case it was just that well hidden.

  “Steven,” Marc said as he watched Steven looking through the whole flat for something from a nearby refection. “What the hell are you doing? Did you drop something?” he asked. “No. I’m looking for a sticky note, mate.” Steven responded. Marc jerked an eyebrow in confusion. “A sticky note? Wouldn’t that be where you put all your sticky notes?” he asked. 

  “No. It’s not any sticky note, Marc. It’s a specific one.” Steven clarified and he moved to a different spot to check. “Well, what’s it for?” Marc asked as he followed Steven with a new reflective surface. Steven sighed before speaking. “Okay. Don’t laugh. But me, Y/N, and Jake play this tag game using sticky notes and we put them places for us to find. But it’s been a while and no one’s found the bloody thing.” Steven explained. “I wanna make sure no one’s went on and cheated.” Steven says. 

  “Who was it last?” Marc asked. “I don’t know, mate. That’s the point.” Steven responded. “I think that would be Y/N.” Marc said out of the blue. “There was a sticky note on the back of one of your books from them to you but it just had a smiley face on it.” Marc confessed. Steven almost banged his head on the bottom of the table he was looking under. “What did you do with it?” Steven asked as if it were life and death. “Which one is it, Marc?” he said looking right at the surface Marc was on. “The green one. I killed a spider with it and saw it on the back.” Marc explained, “I took it off though cause I killed the spider using the back and it got on the sticky note.” he admitted. 

  “Finally!” Steven exclaimed as he went towards his desk to write on a sticky note to tag someone.

  “How long have you three been doing this.” Marc questioned. “Oh, I’ve been playing for while but the other two were the ones playing it originally, I just sort of walked into it and they let me be a part of it.” Steven explained as he took the note off of he pad and placing it in Jake’s hat. “Don’t tell Jake that’s there.” he said to Marc. 

  “Okay?” Marc said before standing there in the reflection for a moment. “Do you want to join? Seems kind of rude to tell you about the game and not let you participate.” Steven offered. Marc shrugged with a “Sure.”. 

  A week had passed, during which you heard Jake shout “Son of a bitch!” when he found the note Steven left. 

  You had woken up in the morning a few days after that and were getting ready to take your morning shower till you noticed a sticky note addressed to you on one of your shampoo bottles saying,

  “I’m playing the game now. You’re it.

Also a small request, while Sun is genderfluid in this au and goes by she/they/he, I would prefer people use she/they when making general comments about her since she rarely uses he/him. I understand that most suns go by he/him and that it’s not technically misgendering but it still makes me a bit uncomfy ‘cause she’s transfem and those aren’t her main pronouns, so I figure I should say something rather than continuing to be uncomfy. (Using he/him in like fic comments where she’s actually using he/him is totally fine, it’s just when it’s general convos about her that I would prefer she/they used rather than he/him).

It’s not anybody specific doing this, it’s just a general assumption that people make that Sun uses he/him so I’m gonna start clarifying when posting art that she goes by she/they mainly. If you have used he/him before, there’s no need to apologize, I don’t remember any specifics of who has and hasn’t used he/him. I just figure since it makes me a bit uncomfy, I should say something rather than letting it slide because on a technicality, it’s not misgendering.

Tbh it’s less so the pronouns themselves that bother me and more so that I know most people who see the art without knowing the au and her gender say he/him thinking that Sun is a guy. Which is an extremely understandable assumption, canonically Sun and Moon seem to go by he/it, and they/them as Eclipse. I 100% don’t blame anyone for assuming my Sun’s gender or pronouns. Which is why I wanted to clarify things, so people aren’t confused and unintentionally/accidentally making me a bit uncomfortable.

heeseung sat on the bustling train, jay’s guitar case nestled between his legs to keep it from sliding everywhere. jay is the only person he’d know to forget his guitar on the big day of his music presentation. he fondles with the worn out handles, absentmindedly tapping his fingers to the beat of the song playing through his airpods.

another person squeezes next to him on the train seat and heeseung really wishes he would’ve just ubered. that thought is instantly wiped from his memory when someone taps him on the shoulder and he turns to see you. the wind is knocked out of his lungs and heeseung swears the angels start singing when you make eye contact.

you’re so pretty heeseung feels the need to reach out to touch you to make sure he’s not dreaming, although you certainly are dreamy. but he does not do that, instead, heeseung plucks his airpods out and gives you his full attention.

“do you play?” you ask, gesturing to jay’s guitar case. there’s something about you that makes heeseung become at a loss for words, so he nods without a second thought— even though he can’t play for shit.

“cool, i’m headed to my music comp class right now.” you grin, showing him your guitar case. it’s denim and theres a sanrio character keychain that hangs from the zipper. heeseung can’t remember which one it is, but he only thinks about how it slightly resembles his friend, jake.

“do you have a favorite guitar?” you ask. once you notice the confusion across his face, you clarify. “like acoustic or electric?”

“oh yeah, i mostly play acoustic.” he manages to get out. “what about you? what do you prefer?” he asks, unconsciously leaning in towards you to hear you better. the busy train was not getting in the way of his chances with you. he’s close enough to smell your perfume and count the freckles on your face, but he stops himself. he’s nearly planning your wedding and yet he doesn’t even know your name.

“i play acoustic too,” you say, liking that you two already have something in common. you look up and realize that you’re one stop away from your class, a small puddle of disappointment filling your gut. you couldn’t even talk to the cute boy on the bus in peace.

you clear your throat, “my stop’s coming up.”

“oh.” it seems like cute bus boy is also disappointed because his lips flip into a tight frown before he tries to cover it up with a light smile. “let me walk you to your class,” he quickly offers.

“are you sure? do you have somewhere you need to be?” you ask hesitantly, not wanting to get in the way. the boy shakes his head, brushing off any of your concern. once you’re sure, you agree and let him walk you to your class.

campus is much more beautiful than usual today. you aren’t sure if it’s the nice, sunny weather or the cute boy walking next to you to one of your favorite classes. either way it looks like your awful week is looking up.

the walk to class is filled with silly questions and short conversations about each other but you don’t necessarily mind. you reach your class and stop slowly in front of it. “so i guess this is where we part ways?” you say, watching as he shoves his hands into his pockets.

“oh yn, thank god you’re here!” jay comes from out of the class, interrupting your moment with the cute bus boy. jay smiles at the bus boy and quickly grabs the guitar case from him and thanks him. he then turns to you, “do you wanna practice before we go up?”

“wait a second,” you look back and forth between the two. “that’s your guitar?”

“yeah why?” jay grabs the other end of the case and shows you the name tag where he’s messily written his full name.

“okay, you can head in. i’ll be there in a sec.” you tell him and although theres many questions turning in jay’s head, he shrugs it off and goes in anyway, shooting heeseung another “thanks bro.”

“so, you don’t play the guitar?”

“i guess i just wanted to impress you.” he admits sheepishly, rubbing the back of his nape. he can’t seem to look you in the eyes. you aren’t sure if its because he’s embarrassed or shy, either way he’s still cute unfortunately.

“you can make it up to me by taking me out for dinner tonight,” you decide finally and the biggest grin breaks out across heeseung’s face.

“i’ll learn a song on the guitar and serenade you too,” he suggests, grinning ear to ear. long story short, heeseung very much serenaded you that night.

Why BakuDeku will be canon and not IzuOcha? Connection between TogaChako and the entire Love Square...

So this is pure hypothesis and I should clarify that I'm not a shipper when it comes to MHA. I just love the story, its premise and the various themes that it involves and I love to see what happens next. I don't particularly support any ships and so with all that being said, let's jump into it!

So, Ochako said that "You should never hide your true feelings or that face of yours".

Horikoshi is very very clever with the panelling.

While most people were debating on whether or not it was an IzuOcha ship bait, I think it signifies something completely different.

Notice how Ochako was thinking about Deku as she said those lines but even in Ochako's imagination, Deku wasn't looking at her.

HE WAS LOOKING AT BAKUGO.

I mean, look at it.

He was a bit embarrassed and looking at someone else. It is most probably a memory from when they were training before the second war (when Bakugo was showing his new move Cluster to Deku)

But why would Ochako think about Deku looking at someone else during such an important time?

It parallels how Toga thinks about Twice in a completely platonic sense. He was more of a brother to her (Toga and Twice->brother sister bond)

Plus it also signifies Ochako's journey of self acceptance. Think about it!

When we met Ochako in the beginning, she had an inferiority complex about her hero motivation and background.

She met Deku, who played her knight in shining armor, who had this cool quirk and everybody loved him.

He was a Hero, and always in the spotlight. Even All Might was interested in him (according to Ochako because she never knew about OFA)

So she admired him and wanted to be like him as in wanted to be a great hero like him but it backfired because Ochako is Ochako and Deku is Deku.

Throughout the series, we see these feelings grow.

But with admiration, what Ochako always felt was jealousy....envy.

The theme of envy has been very prominent in the series. Bakugo is the biggest example of it.

I admit that Ochako might have had a tiny bit of crush on Deku because who wouldn't?

He is a cute, clumsy boy, well natured, a crybaby at times but a real hero at heart. Who wouldn't fall for that?

Plus it's not wrong to have feelings.

But in Ochako's case, she always felt that Deku is so far away.

It is such a literal representation!

Deku was moving forward while Ochako felt like she was lacking, like she is behind him, literally and figuratively.

We saw how she was struggling to deal with whatever she was feeling.

At first it looks like she is struggling to deal with her feelings for him, but at this particular moment her feeling could only be described as envy.

Admiration could easily be confused for love but!

You're never jealous of the person you love!!

Because till season 3 Ochako was feeling both admiration for his best friend (which everyone else confused for love) and jealousy.

It was especially awkward because they were friends and their other friends kept on pointing in that direction.

But the real change came in the war arc when Ochako got Deku's letter and realised that maybe Deku is not that special after all.

They are good friends, and she was worried about him because she realised that behind the Hero persona that Deku has, he is also human.

Being a fellow hero, it was more relatable to her.

"Special powers are one thing but there is no such thing as a special person" she said in her speech.

Humanizing all heroes and villains.

I also wanna talk about this specific panel after Bakugo's apology.

Something about Ochako's expression here really struck a crod.

As Deku falls in Bakugo's arms, the camera pans on Ochako who just stands there observing, what true love is.

She didn't feel anything, because she realised the bond between BakuDeku is a bond of love.

Which is why she never made an effort to follow Deku's footsteps again.

The famous cliff scene: the day before the second war! Both of them knew they could die the very next day and yet they chose to say nothing... Nothing as in love confession, because there was nothing to confess.

Ochako realised that Deku loves and admires Bakugo and she's ok with that, so she'll focus on more important matters, like the Toga situation.

Because she realised, she can be her own Hero.

And now she wanted to help Toga. A girl like her, that was crying.

Because she has seen so many happy faces, she cannot help but wonder what made Toga cry.

Plus Toga said that only heroes and the people they protect are counted as people and the rest don't even matter.

As a person, Toga should be free to love whoever she wants but because of her quirk she is constantly judged by people except LoV.

Toga was mad because nobody accepted her throughout her entire life, her parents, her friends, Heroes and the one place where she found home was also snatched away from her.

Everyone is free to love and admire heroes then why not Toga. Everywhere she went, she was rejected.

Even Deku's quirk pointed out that there was no real malice behind TOGA's actions. Her love is so strong that it puts people in danger.

Heck, Danger sense didn't activate in the beginning because Toga didn't wanna hurt Deku.

But it was after she was rejected so badly, that she turned against them.

It was not about a girl asking a boy out but a villain asking a hero out.

And Deku not only rejected her completely but also judged her.

So if the world rejects her, she is bound to do the same!

Which made Ochako the perfect person to face Toga. Both are girls full of love but hide deep inferiority complexes.

Ochako understood this and told Toga her smile is beautiful.

Why? Because Ochako realised it the hard way, what happens when you suppress your feelings which is why she admired Toga and told her that Toga is right and she should never hide her feelings or her face because she is beautiful.

She admired Toga for her genuine honesty and told her that it is nothing to be ashamed of.

Toga went on a rampage because Deku hurt her (he was the final nail in the coffin) but just because Deku rejected her doesn't mean the end of the world.

Toga is free to live her own life, just because Deku rejected her doesn't mean her life is finished and if she really wants to have a girl chat, Ochako will always be there!

She'll give her blood to Toga for the rest of her life..!!

It's just Ochako's way of telling Toga that just because a boy rejected her doesn't mean her life has ended. That Toga is beautiful and has a lovely smile. And if toga wants to talk about it, Ochako will be more than willing to listen and support her for the rest of her life.

And such is the beautiful dynamic of TogaChako.

Hey, this is a weird and heavy question that could land you in hot water no matter which direction you answer in, so feel free to just ignore me, it's not imperative that you answer or anything. But I don't have a lot of kink-positive (or frankly sex-positive) people that I trust and you seem to have put a lot of time and work into that kind of stuff (or maybe it just comes naturally to you! Regardless, I value your opinion).

I don't know how to make my peace with age regression as a kink, or if I even need to. I've done a lot of unlearning when it comes to a sanitized, puritanical mindset that I was raised with. My general opinion now is "if no one's in danger of getting hurt just leave it be". But I can't help but see people who participate in age regression as a huge red flag- depending on their role in the situation. If I'm friends with someone and they tell me they have a "little" persona or whatever sure that makes me internally cringe but mostly I just feel bad for them because they almost always have trauma. (Baby talk makes me wanna barf but maybe that's a me problem). But when I learn that someone is into people who essentially act like a child or a baby in the bedroom, I'm gonna run for the fucking hills. That just seems like a giant red flag to me- if someone is able to get into a mindset where they can be sexual with someone who's acting like a child, I have a hard time feeling okay around that person.

I know you're no professional, and I'm not here to get validation. Like I said, I just value your insight and I'm wondering if you can introduce me to a new way of thinking about this. Am I wrong to write off someone for a sexual preference as long as it's technically between two consenting adults? Should I be challenging my thinking?

I feel as though relatively often there is confusion when it comes to the idea of kink positivity with regards to this sort of context. It can seem confusing or even impossible, because there are those who act as though being kink positive is the same thing as being personally anything-goes, fetishwise. It's just a matter of vocabulary--we hear "kink positive" and logically assume "we need to feel positive about this kink", right?

Except that's really not the case, no more than landback as a movement demands for creating native american ethnostates by "giving all the private property of america back". The reality is always a bit more complex.

For your specific example of age regression as a kink, it's a pretty common sentiment to just not like it and not want to engage with it. I feel that way--it isn't a matter of value or moral, it's just something that on a personal level I don't like and want nothing to do with.

But the key part of kink positivity is that I need to recognize that I can not be into something without making it a moral judgement on those who are. As you say: If the people involved are all consenting adults, it isn't my place to pass judgement or tell them how to live their lives so long as no one is getting hurt. I need to trust that as adults, they are capable of handling their own sex lives without my intervention. It is not my place to butt in and tell people that because I find their kinks gross that they need to watch out for red flags, any more than it would be anyone else's place to do the same to you.

Anon, you seem to be sort of trapped halfway. You are capable of understanding what kink positivity is supposed to be, but you're not--and forgive me if I'm wrong--really willing to seriously examine what "supposed to be" means when your personal tastes are being challenged. You're saying you're not asking me for validation, but you are asking verbatim "Am I wrong to write off someone for sexual preference as long as it's between two consentint adults?".

I don't really feel like I need to clarify the answer on that, Anon. I'll just point out that you should imagine how you would feel if someone wrote you off morally for one of your sexual preferences when it takes place between yourself and other consenting adults, and whether or not you feel the justifications you'd make against that person could be meaningfully different than the ones someone who participates in age regressions would make to you.

At the end of the day, framing it internally as "It seems like a red flag" is just a way to frame your reaction as morally superior. It is a way of saying "I'm not judging this badly because I don't personally enjoy it, I'm trying to help people. Them doing this is dangerous and I need to be involved and even be against them doing this for their own good". It is the same pearl-clutching Puritan thinking as any fundamentalist Christian would, and it leads to the same thing: Telling full-grown adults that how they have sex between themselves is fundamentally wrong and that your dislike at the very idea of them partaking in it takes priority over their ability to partake in it at all.

I'd suggest asking yourself whether or not you feel as though you'd be respected if someone approached you and told you that, yes, they understand that you're a fully grown adult consenting to sex in this manner, but they don't trust your ability to consent because it seems to them as though there's red flags involved and therefore they DO have a right to get involved in your sex life. For your own good, of course. It isn't your fault that you're into something bad like this. You're traumatized. Hi Anon! Thank you for your beautiful ask, and I appreciate you so much for wanting further clarification on my commissions. I found as I was writing my response, that I waffled and went on for far too long in phrasing all of it.

To make a long story short, absolutely go on as we always have together here:

When my requests are open, send me requests of scenarios you'd love to see come to light.

When I'm completing a broad series, absolutely send in your preferences on which way you'd love to see me leading it.

That's how it's always been, and as it always should be here. I have a very deep love for this community, and I adore the interaction we all have together. Nothing has changed in that regard.

For commissions: it's specifically for that person, not for here unless they would like it displayed on my blog. Attached via email, docs, or discord: my words curated for the person purchasing it - and only them.

Firstly: allow me to specify, and thank you so much for your ask, my absolute darling. My answer is lengthy, but please bear with me.

Requests are currently closed: I have a few in my arsenal that I am still plowing through at the pace that I can when the words come to me. The Kissing Booth is closed, and there are a few in my inbox that I am going to complete when the scene arrives in my mind. I also have chaptered series that I'll be running alongside these, and I can't wait to release them.

If there's a series that you would like to see for a character that I've not yet written for (pollen, dreaming of you, dance series, Hey Doc scenario) always, always submit an idea. I love hearing your thoughts and letting the words take me on a ride with them. I write for me, and those interactions mean the absolute world to me.

I had my requests open for a while to allow my creativity to fly, and promptly close them after receiving a fair few prompts. Again, the kissing booth is closed, and I have so many beautiful characters I can't wait to write kisses for (Tashigi, Nami, Robin my beloveds). There was an issue with my asks glitching for a while, but I have managed to save all those I received in a doc to not lose them this time around.

I feel like I should clarify a little bit regarding commissions, and I really should've added it to the sheet when I made it. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to talk more about this, I really appreciate it.

With limited slots available at a time, commissions will be happening. What that means is I will do my best to meet the criteria of a specific scenario: original character x Canon, or canon x reader or otherwise - exclusively for the person that requests it within the parameters specified.

It's more personalised and more controlled by the person requesting, rather than giving me an idea and watching me sprint beyond the horizon. It's also more intimate: gifted directly to the person asking for a slot, as opposed to sharing to those within this beautiful community that I love so much here. It will be unpublished here or AO3, unless the person commissioning would like to see it showcased on my blog.

Again, I will also be writing for the community here with the content that I always have been. There are so many unfinished works that I would love to wrap up with a big bow before the year has finished.

I am opening commissions for the same reason I want to commission other artists and writers: I would like to purchase their creativity and enjoy it myself.

If I was to use the earlier example in this response regarding Heat, I would love to see more 'Heat x Tobiuo' content. Tobiuo is my original character, and Heat is her person. Them together is my favourite, and I would love to see another artist's visual media, or written content with their take on them. I am happy to read Heat x reader, or other Heat x OC writing - but I would really like to see my own original character - that's what commissions are for.

Tldr: commissions are curated specifically for the person requesting them, a little creation for them and them alone unless otherwise specified to publish on Tumblr of AO3.

I will not be halting my original content, or abandoning any of my requests I accumulated before closing them. I plan to complete them as they were asked in a timely manner that suits me, alongside commissioned work given specifically to the person requesting it.

* What is the “ Dear Diary Method “, And How do you do it ?

It’s really simple. So what you do is for your desire(s) you write a diary entry acting as if you already have you desire ( which you do of course). You describe how it made you feel, what you did once you got your desire, how life felt or changed after you got your desire etc etc. You basically would describe how everything would be if you already had your desires. This is a good way to live in the end, You can script/Journal it Or type it in your notes or on a doc whatever works for you! I recommend doing this In the morning before you start your day or at night as revision, but there is no certain time to do it. You can do it whenever you want to, However you want to. You can add your own twist to it, Just have fun with it and live in the end!

Just in case there’s any confusion here’s two examples.

Example 1:

Dear Diary, Today my sp texted me begging for me back. I didn’t respond because I was so busy with chores so he started blowing up my phones texting and calling me and once I finally answered back she/he begged for me back and told me how much she/he loved me and missed me and how there’s no one like me because i’m one of a kind. Of course I already knew that. But then she/he asked me on a date. This weekend she/he will be taking me out to (desired location) … and so on. You would continue to describe how you want your date with your sp to go.

Example 2:

Dear Diary, Today I got my dream car. It had all my desired features. The first thing I did when I got my car was go to …. Then I went to … And then I did … Then I went and got my car washed and detailed. And then I went and bought decor for my new car.

Example 3:

Dear Diary, Today I manifested $1,000,000. I am so excited to have this much money, The first thing I did was go buy a house. And then I went to buy a G wagon and Lambo Truck. Tomorrow I will be buying a Boat and another house because i’m literally rich. Every time I spend money I get the money I spent back. I’m so happy to be rich. I’ve always booked a trip to italy since I have so much money.

What is torture apologia? I haven’t been able to find a specific definition and it’s confusing for me. What does it look like in regard to the whump community? On top of that, what are some ways to avoid this in writing?

If you don’t want to type out a response to this, how can this be researched? You make some good points in your post about it, and I want to make sure my own writing isn’t based on stereotypes and misinformation about the subject. I am very, very new to the “whump” community, so I don’t fully understand the ways that torture apologia might be displayed in some of the popular writings.

uh. i use the sexual assault r-word a bit here, because i just came up with a good rule of thumb that requires drawing similarities between torture and r-word, so. trigger warning if you dont wanna read that

there is no real definition of torture apologia out there, but i treat it in the same way i would rape apologism. and i actually think theres real worth in keeping with that similarity, because rape is considered a form of torture. so like. yeah

id go as far as to say you can switch out "torture" with "rape" in your story to see if the logic holds up, if you might be saying something you don't want to say. for example, "my hero tortures the bad guy, and this is framed as a form of vigilante justice", swapped with rape, uh, might not exactly be the sorta message you would want to send lol. your hero can torture the bad guy ofc, im not saying they can't, but you better be ready to grapple with the full fucking depth of morality of a situation like that

off the top of my head, things i'd steer clear of:

anything that implies that torture is useful for any purpose. torture just traumatizes people, that's about it, and it's dangerous to spread ideas about whatever imagined utility, because your average person has zero grasp on basic ethics - this is what turns your "useful" torture into "sometimes justified". a third of people globally believe torture can be justified "in some cases". like i can't stress how real this issue is

torture works as an interrogation method or as a way to obtain false/forced confessions (useful)

torture can be used to make someone obedient (useful)

torture can be used to change people's beliefs (useful)

torture can be used to brainwash people/control them (useful)

stockholm syndrome through torture is included in ^ (useful and also just. ehh)

any variant of the ticking time bomb scenario (useful + justification)

torture being portrayed as "scientific"; torturers being "experts" in the "skill" or "art" of torture (implies utility)

when the bad guy does it, it's torture; when the good guy does it, it's vigilante justice (justification)

there's a handful of ideas people use a lot in fiction that i wouldn't necessarily categorize as apologia, but which do still send a message you maybe should think twice about sending. torture victims/survivors being "broken", they'll never be able to live full, happy lives, etc. and there's also this idea that torture only negatively affects the person who is being tortured. i especially think showing the effects torture has on perpetrators is worthwhile, but that might just me having a weird fascination with perpetrator trauma. torture also tends to fuck up the organizations that use it, so

FIRST OFF I WANNA CLARIFY! This is not to send hate to any Ranmaru fans or ransara shippers, while I don't really like ranmaru or ransara, i don't want them to thinks that this is hate in the slightest. If you like ranmaru that's great, I can't, I think he is boring. But good for you honestly that you can find enjoyment in the character. I just don't like ransara, my opinion, okay, okay...

There is actually multiples reasons i dislike ranmaru. First off I'm gonna start with the obvious.

First off, you must know something deep inside of my psyche, i really REALLY hate the yandere archetype. I hate the fetishisation of it. there is nothing cute about a psycho being obsessed sickly with someone, it's called codependency and it's not a good thing. Which is the reason why i hate shit ass rancid ass soupshit. There is nothing cute about killing people for others, because you wanted them to yourself, that is not endgame couple behavior that's i'm calling the police behavior. And i'm not saying that you can't use this idea wisely, i mean soupshit s shown has bad. My problem is the view that a relationship like this would realistically be cute. And ranmaru literately is a yandere. That's already a problem. Well let's say ranmaru is not really a yandere, okay, let's say that, then he is still bad.

Ranmaru only known Sara for three hours, and he became insane over her because reminder she was just nice to him. of course sara manipulated him, i'm not stupid but, she didn't say "kill people for me bro", anyone who is sane wouldn't do what he did.

Let's take in example emotion route because logic route is another cans of worms, ranmaru knows sara for only three hours, sara is polite and nice to him, so now he whipped over her, when sara tells him to not do stuff he does it, because he believes that he is doing the best for her. he doesn't take into consideration sara own thoughts only his. He feels like he has to protect her not in a caring way but in a way to impress her. When sara has males friends and important relationship with others males, he feels threatened, because in his mind, sara will obviously fall for them. He doesn't like keiji only because he is an important figure for sara, godforsaken guys he kidnapped keiji. he doesn't like sara hanging out around other men who he feels are superior than him, because then he is nothing compared to them. So he takes out his anger on them just because he feels like they are the reason why he can't get with the girl. Like he really an idiot because in the freaking highschool au he gets jealous because sara talks to fucking SHIN, like just once. Then he tries to attack him later. Because he feels threatened by other mens being around sara, he feels as though keiji is superior since he is strong and he feels inferior to shin because shin is smart (he actually compliments the shin ai in the game, like he said that he was actually smart). What is that, what is that huh? Possessive behavior, despite everything he could say or think that is possessive behavior. Because he has lack of confidence in himself and his masculinity (show by the fact that he is insecure about his height for example), he acts possessive toward woman or in this case Sara. And coming back to logic route he freaking kill someone for a girl who doesn't even like him in like three hours for her.

And do you know what this all qualifies for, possessive obsessive behavior towards woman, not being able to take a no, insulting other men to feel better about yourself (or in ranmaru case trying to kill the lmao), seeing women has their little object, confusing romance with kindness, doing stuff thinking that you are doing whats right for women despite them not explicitly saying anything all of that.That's """""nice guy"""""" behavior, ranmaru is a "nice guy". he acts like the average Reddit user who claims that they are a nice guy while being the biggest asshole on earth. ranmaru acts nice, but really he views sara like an object of desire instead of seeing her like a person especially in emotion route. In emotion route reminder he tries to put the joe ai inside of him because he wants to be somehow sara ""love"", which is EXTREMELY CREEPY OH GOD THAT'S SOME CREEPY BEHAVIOR. He says that's its so that sara will be able to be with joe, but that's just terrible. first off imagine the dismorphia joe would have felt, and second thinking that to please a girl you should end yourself is just terrible, ranmaru doesn't need sara he needs a therapist.

But let's say we try to forget all about his 31b behavior and focus on his behavior in 31a okay then....

Ranmaru is just Shin without the positives nor the funny. Ranmaru and shin are both pathetic asses jealous of other strengh, they are both mostly quiet and content guys who actually have a darker side, they have no actual social capacities. This repetition in personality was actually noted by nankidai.

Of course having similar themes or idea is okay, i mean even though shin and sara are similar never in god's name would i call them samey. What differentiates characters are their flaw and distinct personality right, right? Well that's the root of the problem Ranmaru without his incel simp yandere behaviour IS JUST SHIN, BUT LESS INTERESTING. LESS COMPELLING AND MORE OF A BACKGROUND CHARACTER. That is the problem, ranmaru is freaking walmart shin!

Shin is a bad person, but when i think about it shin is just a person. Ranmaru is a bad person, that's it.

And my final point is this, sara doesn't give a single shit about him, especially in logic route, she was just being polite and nice, acting like a normal person. In logic route she quite literally uses him for her own gain. So yes it's bad behavior and toxic on both sides, they are the toxic yuri.

and that's why i dislike him, ranmaru only interesting traits don't particularly make me like him as a person and i think he is pretty one note has a character. I like making fun of him but i mean i love making fun of the entire cast. Compared to my mortal enemy or keiji i can't say i really like him as a character. wow that was long. i had a lot more to say about him than i thought. But realistically i would probably put him in the no opinion case of the tier list. he doesn't interest me or anger me enough for him to get higher or lower.

Also he lead to the most bullshit scene of all time, the yabusames death was the stupidest way to get rid of them.

i wanna clarify that when I talk about ghoulia g1 being autistic coded i mostly take it from this official bio thingy that was on the monster high website!! (Idk if that site still exists but i was obsessed with it as a kid fkdksksk) A couple things I want to highlight here:

-ghoulia states that she needs a proper schedule to function. similarly many autistic ppl struggle with things such as organizing and planning (ie executive dysfunction) and sticking to a specific schedule or routine is very helpful and reduces stress a lot!!

-"[does] not process last minute change very well": this is actually mentioned twice, in the freaky flaws and in the pet peeve section! It’s a common thing in autistic folks to struggle with last minute changes. Neurotypicals often see this as "rigid thinking" or stubbornness but it’s really often (at least in my case and other ppl i know) a case of needing time to adjust to changes of plan or unexpected events

-"trouble making facial expressions": i think this one is self explanatory, a lot of us autistics tend to have little to no facial expressions or or will force facial expressions to appear "normal" to neurotypical

-can only speak zombie: okay someone pointed this one out in one of my recent posts because in my memories i believed she was actually non-verbal! It was my mistake, but i still made some research to try to understand where my confusion came from and it turns out that certain ppl actually interpret ghoulia as being non-verbal, and her zombie talk being a parallel for the way autistic ppl will sometimes communicate with grunts and sounds instead of words when they go non-verbal. I don’t necessarily believe this is what was intended with ghoulia since in the monster high world zombie is just another language that ppl speak and understand easily. there’s much more we could say about this topic but regardless, i still think ghoulia literally communicating differently from the other characters is a good parallel with how autistic ppl often struggle to connect or keep up with neurotypicals’ way of communicating!!

-ok that one is obviously a stereotype but if my hypothesis that she was purposely coded as autistic by her creators is true, her being a nerd who loves books and studying (also activities that are often done alone, since many autistics are also introverts) is definitely worth mentioning

-at the "favorite subject" question, she replies that she can’t choose just one, which is a common reply for autistic ppl when asked their favorite x or y!! A lot of us struggle with decision making, even when it comes to small and innocent things like picking your favorite subject at school!

There’s more that could be added obviously but I really wanted to just dissect this bio since it’s what made me realize that she was autistic-coded! As a child when i got into monster high i never really got any of that (and tbh i didn’t watch the webseries that much so i definitely can’t say much about how she acts in it) but now reading this i think it’s not a stretch to think that this was intentional. With all the basic/widely known autistic traits that are explicitly stated in her bio, i think it’s reasonable to say that this is not a coincidence. Ofc everyone is allowed to have their opinion on this but this is mine!:))

Tl;dr: Ghoulia from monster high g1 is definitely coded as autistic and i wish i had noticed earlier!!!

Yeah! Note that a lot of this will be based on my own experiences as someone w ADHD at a large public university, and may not apply necessarily to you!

Academic Stuff:

even if textbook readings aren't mandatory, if there are associated sections/readings w your classes, you should read the textbook. there is a ton of stuff in there that's not gonna be covered well by your lectures, and you'll benefit from the additional context and examples you get from reading

make calendars and to-do lists weeks in advance. if your classes have syllabi with schedules, put all their deadlines onto your calendar. from the calendar, write down what you want to get done each day. i usually try to do 1-2 assignments every day. i do this usually a few weeks to a month into the future, so that i know what i need to get done each day. if you need to push an assignment, you'll know what you have to do for the coming days and can balance where best to put stuff you couldn't complete.

go to office hours! if you start an assignment and do what you can on it b4 going to office hours, you'll be able to better ask questions on what you're confused abt. for some of my harder classes, i went to office hours sometimes twice a week.

you may need to change your major! that's okay. i changed mine like 2 or 3 years in and had to do an extra year to make up for the change. i was afraid to "give up" on my first major (biomedical engineering), but if i'd switched sooner, i would've avoided needing to take extra time. if you do end up switching a bit later like i did, it's not the end of the world tho! it's more money obv, but this major has been much easier for me n i've made way more friends in informatics than i ever made in engineering

apply for disabilities if you think you'll need accommodations! i originally tried to go without them n realized that i was depriving myself of resources for no reason. having extra time on assignments n exams improved my grades bc i could take the time i needed!

Friendship Stuff:

compliment ppl on things like their fashion, hair, phone cases, pins, or backpacks! this is a great way to start a conversation and get a conversation flowing and i have had multiple friendships start just by giving a compliment and then continuing to chat from there

start/join campus discord servers! it's a great way to meet ppl in your classes or your building. i've made multiple friends thru discord servers for my classes, and you also get to work thru assignments or clarify things together

hang-outs don't have to be big plans. you can just msg ppl if they wanna get food at the dining hall n sometimes that'll evolve into a bigger hang-out if you end up wanting to go do smth after!

Mental Health Stuff:

if you're living in the dorms, you'll probably feel rlly scared/sad on your first night or even first few nights abt being on your own n such. both myself and my therapist sobbed our first nights in the dorms! but it'll get better n you'll feel more confident doing things by yourself/being away from home as you go

the first year can be rlly tough to adjust to. i was so depressed i was sometimes peeing in my trashcan bc i couldn't get myself out of bed. now, i'm doing much much better! as you go, you'll get better at your time management skills and knowing your limits and coping w frustration/anxieties

as much as possible, go to events on campus. go to plays, movie nights, clubs, concerts, craft nights, game nights etc. n don't feel afraid to do it by yourself! it's fun to have things to look forward to and get yourself out of the dorm and making sure that you're eating meals (bc if you're already out, you might as well eat)

what's the writing process for this fic? and how long does each step take?

“how long does each step take?” lol you make it sound so much more professional than it truly is.

I start with a general idea of how each chapter should start and where they should end (ex. Chap 1 I wanted to start with drawing a comparison to the train and the tram, and wanted it to end with the botched teleport. Chap 6 I wanted to start with them getting the boat and end with the beginning of this new arc)

For the in between, I’m mostly just working with a general idea for things I want to establish or develop, and have to wing it from there. The radio stuff for instance, as well as the mean green stuff OG is going through are both ideas I have that get implemented when it feels right rather than because I have in my notes that that’s supposed to happen then.

Most of this fic is just an amalgamation of different scenes in my head that I’m figuring out how to put together, which might be obvious at some parts honestly 💀

The dialogue actually is something I usually write in the moment, although I do have a folder where I keep anything I come up with that I wanna use, assuming I’m at a point where I can’t use it at the moment. Otherwise, I tend to write out the whole conversation first and then go through later to add in descriptions of who’s saying what, half so I don’t lose the thread of the conversation and half so I have a bigger picture for how each character means what they say.

I use 3 different writing apps for not just this fic but basically any fic, for better or worse. Google docs, which I think I’ve mentioned enough this isn’t a surprise, the notes app on my phone (you’ll never guess when I swap to this one), and OneNote. Google Docs and OneNote are both for when I’m on my computer, the former where I do most of my writing and the latter is just where I store all of my fanfic. All of it. Notes is for anytime I’m on my phone, mostly because I like using it better than Google docs on mobile.

Last is the beta read, where I fix grammar errors and make last minute changes, as well as add in the <em> and </em> so the italics get carried over because they are VERY important to me.

I’m assuming this is about the 7 and how I mentioned a change that’s happened twice now. This change is just one of those scenes I intended for later that’s getting added in early, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. I’m trying not to spoil it (anymore than I already might’ve) but once you read it you’ll probably be able to tell what both were, though I am still happy to clarify in case I’m simply too confusing of a person (very likely).
