YES. it's maybe one of my favourite quests in the game because it reminds me of weird rumours you'd hear about games in the 00s.

if you find a specific rock in the emerald graves and jump on it like 50 times you'll hear a disembodied voice. if you bring it 10 crystal grace it'll say some more weird lines about going downstairs. after that, if you walk through a false wall hidden in empris du lion you'll find a giant dark flight of stairs that you need to walk down for like 3 minutes. once you reach the bottom you'll hear the voice again and be gifted the flower crown. this all sounds crazy and fake but it's real and i'm obsessed with it.

thinking about it it's kinda crazy how little scourge actually even was in the series. When I first got into warriors I always assumed he was the big bad/ a major character from start to finish and I didn't even know that tigerstar or the clans were a thing then. Dude surged to popularity through pure aura. People loved him cuz he was edgy and cool and I was one of them LOL

Fun fact: according to the ultimate guide, apparently it’s very common for children of Hephaestus to have acrophobia (fear of heights) due to the whole “their dad got tossed off Mount Olympus as a baby”-thing.

Now, isn’t it so interesting how that was never a problem for Leo…

I think we could have so much fun with this for Valgrace purposes. Either actually have Leo have that fear of heights and slowly unlearn it because he realizes Jason will always be there to catch him if he falls.

Or. Make it so that it’s just never been a thing for him at all. (Maybe the Fates decided with the whole “storm or fire”-prophecy and him needing to defeat Gaia, having him be afraid of heights would be a little inconvenient. Maybe Hera made him unlearn it as a child, since she’s the reason children of Hephaestus usually have that fear.) Either way, none of Leo’s siblings understand the inherent comfort he feels in the air. The excitement he feels over fixing Festus and attaching his wings. The way he grins when he feels the wind against his face as he’s falling, knowing he’s going to be okay even before Jason slams into him, holding him fast.

The Wild Life Spreadsheet

Alright so if you don't know me: Hello, hi my name is Saf and I made a huge Google Sheet for Secret Life last year! (BTW I finally finished the gifted hearts page so if you were following it but never got to see the finished product because I Didn't Finish It feel free to check it out now!) It was a lot of fun and I know a lot of people found it helpful to have all the stats in easy-to-read tables and graphs so after the absolute trainwreck of this past session I decided to go ahead and make one for Wild Life! It's going to be a little bit different from the last spreadsheet so consider this the user manual.

Lives at End of Session

This sheet will show you how many lives each player has at the end of each session! I've also included a slicer, which allows you to filter the table and graph by specific players if you want to see one player's progression or compare a few to each other!

Death Count

This sheet shows the number of deaths per player and per session. The deaths per player graph can be filtered just like the lives remaining graph!

Causes of Death

This sheet breaks down what caused each player's death, what session they died in, how many lives they had left after their death, and which deaths were directly caused by a Wild Card! (And my GOD these snails)

Kill Count

The same as the Death Count sheet just will kills per player!

Let me know if there's other stats that would be interesting to track or if there are any issues with the sheet!

jupiter's patron has the same last name as the guy who wrote 'Curiosities, Marvels, Spectacles, Singularities, and Phenomena: An Unabridged History of the Wundrous Acts Spectrum (Vol. 307)', do you think that's why jupiter is so well versed in areas concerning wundersmiths? i think it'd be cool if his patron was part of the original sub-9 academic group and wrote those books, or if he was descended from the person who wrote them. got this from the nevermoor wiki, not original!

One thing I’m not clear about is whether Sudbury the patron was also the one that took Bertram in at age 9. Did he take in Bertram because he thought he might be a Wundersmith? Bertram seemed to know about the connection between “cursed children” and Wundersmith and how he wasn’t one. What was it like when it was clear he wasn’t a Wundersmith at all?

It then makes me think that he totally could have instructed Jupiter about various Wundersmith stuff. I don’t think it was a completely comprehensive education, as in the books I think we see him still learning more and more, but I think it was significant enough. I do often wonder why he’s not more involved with Sub-Nine though… maybe he’s just too busy otherwise?

It all kind of adds some more interesting layers to the dynamic between Bertram and Jupiter and their patron. And Jess DID say in one of the recaps that the authors of the books would become relevant, so….. 👀👀👀
