It’s such a hard tie between Littlebird and Silverflame (yeah Yellowfang’s Secret was my favorite book as a child, how could you tell)… Silverflame and Yellowkit had such a sweet relationship (well, as long as it lasted, it was sweet). And I really appreciated Littlebird and Yellowfang’s interactions, too. Their friendship was also very sweet. I still remember that one scene where (sometime after Brokenkit shows up) Littlebird is like 🥺 you saying you dont have time for your old friends? for me? 🥺🥺🥺? Plus her comforting Yellowpaw after Silverflame's sudden passing.

On a related note, went to check their wikis and was absolutely blindsided that Littlebird is ginger. I always imagined her as pure white..

For the longest time my answer to this was Amberleaf. And honestly it still is. She’s Nutwhisker’s mentor in Yellowfang’s Secret, and she’s specifically noted to be especially strict, so it’s kind of like a “damnn you got stuck with the mean teacher” moment, but then she tells Nutwhisker something like “I will make you the best warrior you can be” so it’s like Ohhh she’s not 2dimensionally mean, she probably just has her own way of showing kindness and does actually value her charges 😭

📖 : fav comic page from any of the mangas and why

That one scene in Nighstar’s manga where him and Runningnose are travelling either to or from the Highstones, and they’re talking about how ShadowClan needs a strong leader. And the shadows of the trees cut across the orange field like tiger stripes. FORESHADOWING.

👶 : how old were you when you first touched a warriors book? howd it happen

Probaby like 7???? I don’t know the exact context leading up to this but I was at a friend’s house and somehow made contact with their Graystripe manga (specifically vol 2). They let me take it home to read, later they also did this with the 3rd Graystripe manga and Yellowfang’s Secret (eventually returned ofc). Fun fact I didn’t realize Silverstream was dead cause I didn’t know who she was aside from “Graystripe’s old girlfriend”, I vividly remember playing out a scenario of Graystripe and Millie returning to the forest and meeting Silverstream, using the three LPS I owned (one of which was actually given to me by the same friend… I still have her btw and her name is still Millie). Unfortunately quite literally 0 people at my school read Warriors (or if they did, they didn’t tell me) so I was alone in being a Warriors enjoyer </3

💢 : what scene made you the most irrationally angry upon first reading

The first thing that comes to mind honestly is Nightheart’s first couple of chapters in River, like the way the narrative bends to make him right. It was kinda infuriating. I can’t really remember anything else that made me actually upset though.

💧 : how many times have you cried over this wretched book series? any favorite memories

0 times, I have cried over media maybe thrice in my life. I don’t think I’ve really even teared up over anything happening in the books (tearing up is a little more common for me than actually crying). I don’t really feel much strong emotion tbh.

💋 : is there any ships out there you absolutely hate for genuinely no good reason at all. like its not problematic in the slightest, if anything it's one of the better ones, you just cannot bring yourself to enjoy it

Squirrelcrow… I don’t see the appeal at all. Idk that I’d call it “one of the better ones” or “unproblematic”, mostly cause it’s been literally almost a decade since I’ve read TNP so I don’t really remember much of how their dynamic was (or how it could have gone). I just super do not like Crowfeather and I can’t really see what sort of chemistry Squilf would have with him.

Bristleroot doesn’t exactly inspire rage in me but it does leave me deeply confused and a little unsettled. Like I guess it’s fine but genuinely when Bristlefrost “confessed” back to Rootspirit I thoughht she was lying to him, either for some sort of advantage re:the impostor or to spare his feelings somehow. It felt extremely forced. Sunbeam/Nightheart gives me similar feelings, maybe to a slightly lower degree because at the very least their interactions were mostly positive before Nightheart dropped everything to try and score a marriage visa out of her. Which was still pretty weird so it’s not like it’s better by much.

🐾 : have you ever named a cat after a warriors character OR given a cat a warriors styled name? if so, tell us the story

No but I gave my DOG a warrior name!! I had a mini ceremony for her and everything. I think her name was like Blackwhisker or something (Black- cause her fur was black, -whisker because I thought of her name on the spot and her whiskers were the first thing I noticed).

1️⃣ : was warriors your first animal based fantasy series? if not, what series was?

If it counts, I watched My Little Pony before I read Warriors. In terms of books I don’t really think so? Most of The Before Times is kinda blurry for me, and obviously there wasn’t anything that made as much of an impact as Warriors did.

👑 : when roleplaying (if you ever have roleplayed warrior cats), did you used to power play? be honest.

Nope, actually if anything I think I kinda underperformed… I was really socially anxious and would get so sick to my stomach even typing stuff out cause I thought somehow I would accidentally say something that would make everybody instantly hate me somehow. But on the forum I was on I needed to post at least once every 2 weeks to be considered active, and I loved it there too much to just leave. So on the RP threads, in the few times I posted, I had my character just sleep most of the time, with the idea that someone would wake her up (thus inviting me into the RP and making it okay for me to speak). This did not work out 90% of the time but that’s okay 👍

I did used to do Roblox RP on the Mandaka server though!! The thing about most Warriors RP servers at the time (especially Mandaka’s) is that there was no system determining who goes to what clan, so usually what would happen is 1 or 2 clans had like a million people and the rest had 3 or less. Not really a powerplay but I felt so fucking powerful the one time I singlehandedly restored ShadowClan from a 0 player clan (me being the first cat) to the most populated clan on the server that day. I reigned supreme as Creamstar and then Dawnstar (Creamstar’s deputy ended up having to leave for lunch or something). Considering Creamstar was murdered against the rules of the servers (wasn’t supposed to use claws, no random murders, yet was killed by a random ThunderClan patrol), I took it pretty gracefully I think. Though I did crush some kid’s dreams because they showed up acting as leader, and when I told them I was already leader they were pissed at me and told me it was their birthday so they should get to be leader. I think I just told them it was my birthday too (lie) and at some point they gave up and left. Keep in mind I was like 10 when this happened ^_^;

To be honest I don’t actually know… it’s probably not the first one I ever saw, but We All Still Die (hosted by WhiskerMoon) sticks out in my memory as being one of my early favorites.

Either Blackstar’s Too White and Nerdy by Mama Tad or Brokenstar Has Bad Blood by Urnam7. (Fun fact… I got in trouble at my elementary school after-school care program for asking the teachers to play White and Nerdy cause it was ‘offensive’/‘inappropriate’…. I was like 7 I had no clue 😭) (Better fun fact, this was how I was introduced to Creature Feature).

🖌 : when did you make your first warriors oc? (if you say you've never had OCs, i dont believe you)

Maybe sometime between 6 months to 1 year of having read the books? Her name was Marigoldstar/Marigoldpelt (named after Yellowfang’s dead sister). I was salty that the clans left the forest (as a child I was very change-averse), so in my story, after the clans vacated the forest, twolegs somehow accidentally introduced some sort of nuclear goo that mutated the flowers in one specific area (probably former-ShadowClan knowing me) to be like 12 feet tall. Either before or after the goo incident did the twolegs decide to stop demolishing the forest, clean it up, and designate it as a nature preserve or something. Cats re-inhabit the forest and set up 3 clans, one of which was FlowerClan (because they lived in the mutated flower zone). Neither of the other clans got cool mutated goo based territories :(

Marigoldstar lived in FlowerClan, she had a sister named Daisy(something, I forget the suffix). Her mate was named Blazingfire, he was basically just a trophy husband. She had 5 kids, one for every mostly-solid color of cat that I could think of. The only ones I remember are Stormeye (her gray daughter that was born missing one eye), and Wolfheart/star (black and white daughter). Her dad, Wildstar, was the leader before her, and actually the subject of my first ever fanfic (I wanted to write the prequel first before the ‘actual’ story, but the thing is nothing really happens to Wildstar aside from the fact that he’s a pushover and his mom’s ex disliked him… as did his mom’s ex’s son but then he chills out). Literally in chapter 1 of his fic, some StarClan cat tells him (when he’s a new apprentice) that some day he’ll be a dad and that’s important, only FFN had this weird glitch where if you didn’t add spaces between periods it would delete entire chunks of your text, and because I didn’t know to do this (10 years old) the chapters were nigh-incomprehensible. The fic is gone but I found an archived version of it, which I still have saved.

It’s funny cause Marigoldstar never really had a defined story either. Her sister dies in an ambush to give her angst points, and then she becomes leader. I couldn’t decide if I wanted her eyes to be blue (goes well with her golden coat) or gold (matches her gold coat). I ended up deciding that her eyes were formerly blue but then turned gold after she got her 9 lives. It’s funny cause I actually really disliked blue eyes as a child but w/e ¯_(ツ)_/¯

📝 : if commanded to, without warning, approximately how many paragraphs could you write about your favorite warrior cat before you ran out of things to say

See this is difficult for me because I couldn’t tell you who is my #1 most favorite of all time off the top of my head, but most recently I wrote like 12 paragraphs (maybe a little less?) about Bluestar (see: AMVs)

💔 : have you ever lost friends over warriors related topics?

Nope, this implies that 1. more than 3 people I knew across my entire (irl) life read warriors, and 2. that they disagreed with my opinions.

🌈 : what's the most 2010s wcforum era esque fandom opinion you still hold onto and will fight people over (things like scourges collar color, dovewings eye color, etc)

I don’t think I have any in that vein… in terms of character appearance headcanons I am a firm believer in colorpoint Hawk and Moth (and Tigerstar clone Tadpole) but 100% that is absolutely not a wcforum opinion because it contradicts canon too blatantly lmao.

🆕️ : are you still up to date / reading the new books? if not, when did you stop?

Still up to date, actually I’ve just started book 4 of A Starless Clan. I put it off for a while because for some reason I had such a hard time sitting down and reading 3 and 4 through with my very legally acquired PDFs, and it did not really help that Nightheart is a main character. (He’s marginally more bearable in book 3 but, you know, I didn’t know that).

📱 : were you ever on warriors amino? (if you were, i'm terribly sorry)

Nope, the most involved I ever was in the fandom was on FFN forums (iykyk)

🏠 : about how much do your family know about warrior cats, if anything?

Once I spent like an hour describing the basic lore and entire events of the first series to my dad, like to the point that my throat was sore. He was actively listening and seemed happy to do so, but this was like 2 years ago so I doubt that he remembers anything about it tbh. The only thing my family really knows about warriors is that it’s about cats and I read it.

🎶 : give me a song you're surprised you haven't seen turned into a warriors pmv yet - and what character(s) you imagine it to

Ohhhh so many songs. Some of these are purely based on my own personal readings of the relevant songs + characters so it’s a bit more understandable, but ONE exception (that I’m actually hoping to make into a pmv myself) is just so obvious I’d have to make it its own post. Which I will, you’ll know it when you see it. Brief list of the songs though:

Community Gardens - The Scary Jokes ——> Mapleshade. Literally every time I hear this song all I can see in my head is Mapleshade. Opens (and closes) with her spirit taking notice of Crookedkit/Stormkit and deciding to manipulate him for her own gain. Everything in between is basically the events of Mapleshade’s Revenge; she thinks she’s safe from the eventual wrath of her clan because obviously she’s doing this for them, they need this, StarClan would never punish her or her kits because that’s just not an option in her mind. So it obviously comes as quite the shock when it really does happen (“the culmination of man’s mistakes came the day the sun ran so hot, it turned the desert to glass”), culminating in her revenge plans (“if there’s something to be learned from these losers… it’s that the price that you pay for arrogance and a false of immunity is to face the wrath of the dying star”). That line in my head applies both to Mapleshade ‘punishing’ those who did her wrong (the dying star—> cat no longer accepted into StarClan, arrogance/false sense of immunity—> the cats who tossed her aside think they don’t have to deal with the consequences of such an action), as well as StarClan’s ‘punishment’ of Mapleshade (who falsely believed that StarClan had her back). I say punishment for lack of a better word.

Cody’s Theme - AJJ ——> Lionblaze This one I get a little more why it’s not an actual AMV but god I want it to be so bad. Genuinely I don’t remember if Lionblaze being, like, unable to restrain his aggression/battle-hunger was only partially canon or fully fanon, but regardless I think this AMV would objectively fuck so hard. I had this epiphany reading this really excellent Warriors fic by Hissing Willow, their Po3 AU (link here). Wherein this song basically describes Lionpaw to a T. Several specific lines remind me of moments in the fic (“I set the mommy on fire, I set the baby on fire, not even Jesus could stop me” —> one part where he’s terrified that he’ll lose control and accidentally hurt or kill Ferncloud and her kits, despite obviously caring deeply for them; Spottedleaf in a StarClan dream, iirc, holds some mild disdain for him, though it’s possibly for [spoiler] reasons.) Anyway I think this could even work as an AMV based on the canon books. I always imagine the guitar instrumental moment (forgetting the word rn) in this song as the moment where he kills Russetfur, where he’s overcome with that aggression, and then once it actually happens he just kind of sits there in shock at what he’s done. (in the aforementioned fic there’s another moment that fits so perfectly with this but, again, spoiler for the fic… go read it right nowww)

Lullaby for the Taken - Kimya Dawson ——> Bluestar This is the one I need to make a separate post on because I have actually written out an entire, line by line analysis on how perfectly this song fits Bluestar. In fact it astounds me that this hasn’t been made so much so that I’ve been actively planning out a PMV for it. Which will take a million years but like I’ve done it before I’ll do it again. Anyway, in the 10 minutes it takes me to edit my analysis and outline for posting, go listen to Lullaby for the Taken, and then go read Bluestar’s Prophecy, and bask in how right I am about this.

I don’t really watch any specific youtubers aside from maybe Moonkitti on occasion

❎️ : what's the weirdest crossover au involving warrior cats that you've made? (if you haven't made any, then what's the weirdest one you've seen?)

I don’t know about weirdest per say but the whiplash I experienced from finally finishing Worm to finding a Warriors AU not three days later was definitelly something. My personal AUs tend to be less “what would these characters be like in a clan” and more “what would these characters’ OC’s be like”. I just know that Boruto has the most edgy BloodClan “Scourge is my dad” OC and gets kicked for powerplaying and having “unrealistic names” on various Roblox RP servers.

🗳 : if you could make any cat leader of any clan right now, who would you pick?

I haven’t gotten past the first few chapters of Thunder yet but I think - and this has to be extremely sudden, right this moment, no time skips or anything - I think it would be extremely funny for Frostpaw to suddenly become Froststar. No warrior name or anything, just straight from apprentice to leader. Word of StarClan. RiverClan collectively in their dreams all receive the same omen/order from StarClan that Frostpaw is their new leader and can she please come and get her nine lives right now, thank you. Everyone is in a panic looking for where she could have possibly gone. Everyone in the conspiracy is carefully weighing the benefits of either assassainating her again or trying to turn her into a puppet leader, and neither of these options seem very likely.

🌟 : would you hypothetically go to starclan or the dark forest?

Hmmmm. See this kind of depends. I haven’t read Squirrelflight’s Hope so I don’t really have a solid idea of how the judgement process works (like how cats are chosen, specific rules if any, etc). Before that book dropped I always kinda interpreted StarClan as being more interested in if you followed the code, if not in spirit then in wording, as opposed to morality. Maybe also the potential of redeemability. Though biases seem to get in the way of this judgement (I’ll literally never forget the retcon that the site did for Ashfur’s judgement, saying that maybe Yellowfang’s judgement was influenced by the unhealthy relationship SHE was in, having distorted her own views of what’s ‘acceptable’ in terms of love… I’m definitely stretching the quote here but I literally don’t care). Anyway since I’m not technically a clan cat I’d probably go to wherever rogues go. HOWEVER, as a child, I REALLY did not like it when cats broke the code, because bro it’s literally so easy, I would give anything to be a clan cat like you and yet you’re throwing it away… Anyway on that basis, if I was a clan cat I would probably go to StarClan for following the code.

🤔 : what's the biggest series plothole that's bugged you?

Literally everything about Nightheart, again the whole narrative bending to making him objectively correct about everything. I swear to god in TBC Sparkpelt didn’t even neglect her kits, when she was with them I’m like 90% sure she was mentioned as actively trying to be there for them while recovering from PPD, after the initial "fuuuck everything is going so wrong for me rn".

But before that, it was the timeline inconsistencies between Tallstar’s Revenge and Yellowfang’s Secret. I couldn’t tell you what they were now, since I only ever read Tallstar’s Revenge once, but being a lifelong Yellowfang’s Secret scholar I 100% noticed some timeline inconsistencies that made the order of events in each book with respect to each other very unclear. It bugged me to no end. Being biased towards Yellowfang I preferred the version of events in YS, but knowing those inconsistencies even existed bugged me so bad.

😱 : how many people have you blocked over innocuous, not at all important warriors related takes?

Oh probably at least a few, but I don’t remember any in particular. Nightcloud haters are definitely on my blocklist.

☯️ : what dynamic between two cats has got you up at night pacing for hours? (romantic, platonic, familial, etc)

As someone who paces my house nightly regardless, the most recent Warriors character I thought of while pacing was literally every relationship Bluestar has ever been in (not specifically romantic, though idk that I’d call what she had with Oakheart anything more than a fling). 🌫 : what's a cat you genuinely forgot existed until recently?

Not gonna lie, pretty much every background character in the new books… Even the ones that got their time in the limelight, like Flipclaw, really only come to me if I reach deep down in my ‘Warrior Cats Current Allegiances Bin’ located deep in my brain. Literally as I write this I just remembered Cinderheart and Lionblaze had kits. Multiple of them in fact.

Talking about anime ash ships(?) kinda. It became a bunch of random topics.

Hm im actually an amourshipper. Its my otp from like 10 at least. Or whenever i first watched xy or xyz. When it came out. I don’t remember. But im also a multishipper so like i dont really dislike other ships in fact i find goh and ash very cute. And gary. I despise pokeshipping tho. Last on my list. Absolutely no. I just hate it idk why. I didnt even hate it because of other people i just hated it when i knew it existed?? Or ash and iris thats my second most dislike. Cause i like may and dawn a lot and theyre cool i like their ships with ash but now to me they suit the rivals/male alternates better. I still like them tho. Theyre cool. Like yeah shes kinda built off ash in the anime and thats cringe but i just think theyre cute and i dont really have a reason to not like them and rheyre my old otp. I just like them. Plus serenas pretty. And bc theyre my oldest and probably first otp. Ah. I forgot what i was gonna say. Oh yeah so then its kinda hard for me to dislike something after liking it a lot. I think i did dislike something a lot after liking something decently but that wasn’t something i really REALLY liked so it couldve easily changed so eh. I dont think my preferences really changed a lot? The only thing that’s significant enough that i can say off my mind is favorite colour i guess. I used to like uh. Actually i dont remember. But whatever colour it got replaced by blue (ITS PURPLE I REMEMBERED))because i liked elsa a lot. When the first frozen movie came out. Holy shit that was. Wild. …and. My like. Probably favorite mlp was rainbow dash. Blue. So blue. And twilght. IT DOESNT RELATE TO MY NAME THO IT DOESNT. um anyway. I liked blue a lot. Actually i somehow sticked withit for a long time even after my hype died a long time. I think I realized my fav color was still blue bc of elsa and i thought that was like really fucking cringe so i wanted to like a different colour so i went around for sometime and then i thought uhh i like stars and moon and stuff too thyere yellow. Light yellow uh yeah guess ill try and make this my fav colour and i did after maybe 1-2 years of convincing myself. Thats funny. Twildflower is a mash of twild and wildflower. Tp link and botw link ship name lmao. Then wildflower is what ppl say wild’s nickname would be from twilight. Kinda cool. And its not a taken or common name so i was like eh sure. I made this name when i was in my zelda hyperfixiation. uhhhshsh i hate typing zelda its so weird. Not gonna elaborate. Um anyway. My preferred name being link does not have to do with my username being twildflower or because of the zelda fixiation either fun fact it’s literally just because of my real name. I. Dont like that name and it catches me off guard a lot of the time and it. I just dont like it. Link is better. Kyle is just a random name. Its a youtubers i watched like maybe 7 years ago’s real name and a certain day like 4 years ago i just suddenly remembered that person and i was like yeah kyles a cool name and that stuck as my name until now. Id say its my real name. Link or kyle are both cool. Some of my real life friends call me kyle so thats the diff i guess. I dont have online friends tho the ones i am friends with probably call me nai. Nai is. Eh. I dont mind it. Its my name. Its a name i used to like know a lot of online friends i have. So thats my name to them. I dont mind people i know now that dont know why im nai call me nai. Also by real life friends i only consider id say 5 as friends and only 1-2 call me kyle. 1 I explicitly told them call me kyle if she could and the other is just sometimes when we chat because i have it as my user on some places. Not specifically for group chats tho like just as referencing to me. Sometimes i guess. Yeah tbh id consider kyle my real life name if i could. If i had to introduce myself with none of my family nearby or when my id name is outright there or whatever id say im kyle. I havent gotten a chance to do so tho. I dont really care i guess. I dont want to care about many things. I say i dont care but i care. Like. My friend. I guess.

Hello! I've come by here before (asked about the Mandela effect of the Jonathan scene being edited but it actually wasn't, thanks again btw)

I don't have as much to ask as last time and it's not really about the ST content itself (I mean the stuff we watch) but more a question about the recent Twitter poll of the Stranger Things writers on Twitter.

I voted on lumax (cuz idk, i thought they'd have more to gain and more depth added rather than the other options but to be fair same could be said to the byers brother talk).

Anyway, what I was wondering about was why the boobies scene the second most voted on (at the time of typing this out)?

I wanted to know your thoughts on this because I really wasn't expecting that and my gut reaction was asking why anyone would vote for this over the three other options.

No offense to the people who voted for that scene tho, I just meant that what hellcheer had going for it (I assume) is it being a ship, and I state that being a reason cuz fandoms love ships. The byers brother talk has the very deep emotional connection shown between the two characters there. Lumax has the being a ship as well (and being a super cute and endearing scene). And when I think about the boobies scene I don't see much of it having legs to stand on to be placed in the poll.

(Idk why I'm particularly questioning it tho, maybe it's cuz Steve is there and I'm not as enthused by him as the rest of the viewers are, although Robin is in the scene and she's my fav character lmao)

I'm looking at the numbers on the poll again and the distance of each contender isn't very far so this whole ask is kind of unecessary.

Yeah, I have the exact same thought. Also why there's no Ronance or early season Byler stuff because I've seen that be requested tons although I'm also in a bit of a bubble online so who knows. Either way, I do not get why people are voting for that scene. Maybe it's their favourite? But like... How will a script add anything to that scene? It's the same with the Steve and Eddie scene; it's the actors' performances that make the scene special, the dialogue is pretty self explanatory.

Whereas the Johnathan and Will scene will make the scene sadder and also give some gay Will proof for the idiots who don't already believe that. And the Lumax scene... I need the Lumax scene. It's such a sweet and retroactively heartbreaking scene and I want to see what was originally planned and what was added by the actors. I know this is hypocritical with my point about how prior scripts added nothing, but Lumax makes me feel angsty. The boobies scene makes me snort but I doubt a script could do that. The Chrissy and Eddie script would be better see than that scene although in my opinion a lot of the flirting in that scene isn't from the text but from Grace van Dien and Joseph Quinn.

I need to go check the final poll I think, but I'm praying for Lumax! And then Johnathan Will next week. Fingers crossed and thanks for the ask (:

for places and spaces day, i’m going back in time to celebrate one of my fav show locations: the paper porcupine, specifically the back room.

if there is one thing above all else i am a truly desperate heaux for, it’s a good art room. what can i say? i spent my formative years haunting them and there’s something about a paint/ink/god knows what splattered work table that does it for me. add in a mechanical printing press? nirvana, truly.

so without further ado, allow me to rec some fics that use the space as god intended.

one thing that always stands out to me about this fic is how well it captures the snap, crackle and pop between beth and rio

it opens with them literally giving each other the silent treatment while still hanging out alone for hours on end in the paper porcupine while beth prints for weeks

yes that weeks includes the mutual stubborn silence

iajs that’s the kind of petty that really makes this ship shine

and then when they break, the nasty, bitter reckoning that spills out only serves as foreplay for a hookup that perfectly captures that half bitter antagonism, half desperation to reconnect dichotomy that characterized their s3 dynamic

in addition to a fantastic hook up, the back and forth banter and energy is really what makes this fic shine

the tone of this one leans a little more heavy than the previous rec as beth and rio grapple with the bitter weight of everything between them and how it’s made that much more complicated by how present the good parts of their history are as well, and how much they can’t/don’t want to escape either

idk guys, that juxtaposition is the specific flavor of angst i live for

i also love love love that in this one rio’s the one poking at the open wound of their relationship and i love that it’s the key to beth unlocking and airing some of her own grievances. communication! who knew!?

how do i love this fic, let me count the ways (jk we’ll be here all day bc i love it a lot)

remember how i said my favorite flavor of angst is the kind that runs on a combo of bitter and poignant memory? well boy howdy does this fic nail that like whoa

while this fic is much more sprawling than just hooking up in the pp, that is both where it starts-ish AND a returned to feature including an A++++ negotiation for a new and better blender

points deducted for mention of the keyhole sweater (I KID!!!!!!!) (not about hating the keyhole sweater, it looks so itchy idk why, but about the points deduction)

basically, to cap it off, this is one of my fav rio pov fics, it does such an incredible job capturing this completely exasperated, vaguely pissed off about it, but also kind of desperately into it vibe that feels so exactly right for a later s3 era rio starting to realize how deep his feelings for beth may in fact go and losing his mind about it and i love it a lot

plus the anti-beth list of hook up criteria remains i think one of my favorite things in any brio fic ever, so

and this is all just ch 1, i’m still not ready to talk about ch 2 but just know i think about the bit in the shower a normal amount

like i was gonna leave the iconic brio try butt stuff fic off of the list

what i really love about this fic, aside from the fact that it’s hot af, is how well it captures the competitive aspect of beth and rio’s dynamic and how they’re always playing a game and trying to score points against each other

in this version it’s on the playful, almost, dare i say, affectionate end of the spectrum and the way it’s woven throughout gives the fic an extra spark that makes the story an absolute delight

this is also like, the peakest of peak beth, i.e. blurts out something she didn’t mean to and then not only will she gnaw her own arm off before admitting a mistake or defeat but she’s actually gonna flip this whole thing around and lean in as hard as she can and be the absolute best

i also love how rio immediately gets on her level and takes it just as seriously as she is but still finds ways to tease her, without like, teasing her (this makes sense shut up)

what i’m trying to say is the characterization is flawless throughout and captures all of the best things about them and their dynamic perfectly and i love it thank you and goodnight

When the young prince finds friends with some of the newcomers it all seemed fine. Until they get older and the prince has taken a liking to one of his friends. The looming question of why the town was attacked, who the parents are of the Guard, and the world at large threaten to either tear the friends apart or make them bonded together foerever - most developed vv gay

Fly Away - Magical war set in current times, teenagers/young adults got stuck with the curse/chosen-ness cause the last generation didn't fix the curse or reset it right. Started back when I was 13 and has a self insert lololol

Listen to the Band - two juniors find themselves unexpected friends. Paul, one of the drum majors of their highschool marching band and Tyler the older brother of a trumpet player in the band. As the two learn they have more in common than they think their personal and school lives only get tougher as they get older (HAVENNNTTT fully decided to commit to the gay on this one, v fraught around Ty's fam and some drug use)

School Psychics - Alex, an empath who sees peoples emotions as auras around them, creates a school club for other psychic kids in school. Anne - telekinetic, Caleb - postcognition/seeing the past, and Ron - precognition/seeing the future, all fit the bill but Brent is mystified as to what this all means. As they learn to control, accept, and support each of their powers and their friends, they start to realize they aren't alone in the world, for better or for worse

The Science of Love - Weird gay oneshot that got away from me. Tony, a delivery boy... man? loll and a college student has noticed a man using the subway at the same time as him all week. They have a drunken one night stand and Phill (subway man) has a broken ankle from a fall the night before. After a friend picks Phill up at the ER they go to Tony doesn't think he'll ever see him again, till he delivers some medical equipment to a lab in town and runs straight into Phill. Overall they're a terrible couple and I over developed Tony's story rather than Phill's. If I ever do write it, it'll be more of a TONY'S ESCAPADES IN LOVE than the original idea

NOW WE'VE ARRIVED IN COLLEGE ERA/TEGAKI ERA (not that some of those weren't developed more in college at the same time)

WEIRD ALIENS IDK! - This never had a name and if it did it might have been Adrian's Harem OTL. Started as a vague backstory for an alien boy OC who was WOOING a friends OC -cough @ryngtail cough- Adrian is the future ruler of loll... idk the planet??? and he was given a ""harem"" but more just a group of ppl around him that would BE FINE TO COURT IF YOU ARE GONNA PICK A SPOUSE. Adrian, terrified by the pressure steals a ship and runs to earth. The story, if told today, would focus much less on Adrian and more on the effects on the Harem as multiple of them fall in love w each other ROFL two of my favs being Jazz and Charlie

AYRES ACADEMY - Tegaki drawing/rp group for a supernatural/magical all boys school. You were "allowed" 3 characters (3 students/2 students 1 teacher/1 student 2 teachers/3 teachers) BUT ME BEING ME, overdeveloped all their stories and threw in so many family members and friends and storylines

Jay - Dragon, yes legit a dragon. His father was the pack leader of a mountain pack but was violent and ruthless. When Jay's mother hid them from his father, she was murdered for it. Jay wasn't found, was raised by a dragon who felt indebted to his mother. But when he his teenage years he started experimenting with his magic and learned to shapeshift into a human form. The banished dragon who lived with the humans at the base of the mountain happens upon him and manipulates Jay into a ""relationship"" (vvv statutory and abusive). This dragon convinces Jay that all dragons are violent and evil and need to behave more like humans. The town healer and her granddaughter use dragon scales in many things and get them from the shitty dragon and now Jay. Through their care and friendship he realizes the other Dragon is shitty and tries to leave. However his father realized that Jay is in the human town with the shitty dragon. He sends another dragon down to get Jay back and murder the shitty dragon. Shits mcgoo fights the assasin and is mortally wounded, Jay finishes off the assasin. The grief and trauma of losing shitty dragon and the rage at his father send him into a murderous rampage up the mountain, till he gets to his father and kills him too. With the father's dying breath he says he's so proud Jay is strong and just like him. This finally wakes Jay from his grief rage and he goes back down the mountain to the healer and granddaughter. He runs to europe to go to university and pretend to be a human. But his unwarranted guilt and grief are a constant companion. -college antics cut for brevity- After graduating he headed to Ayres Academy to be his first job as a school councelor and the psych teacher. THIS WENT POORLY LLLOL and i've apologized to everyone whose character he ""counseled"" we were all oddball teens tho and they graciously forgave me lolol. At Ayres he met Lorcan, the school chef and MYSTERY SHARK MAN and they hit it off. Lorcan is prone to disappearing for months on end and Jay has literal and mental scars from him last relationship and it's rocky. We left off w Jay finally telling Lor about his past and Lor taking it with SOME SHOCK LOL. The endgoal, in my head, is that their married, in a wonderful condo w their mildly adopted son (the step son of the healer's granddaughter)

Milo - ELF BOOOIII (started as a FOKKEN CENTAUR JFC) idk his story, he's a good elf, left the elf town, is a teachers aid/parapro, HE HAS MANY FRECKLES IS TOLL AND LOVES THE MATH TEACHER TRE!!!

Cam - A PHEONIX!!!! can shapeshift into a birb form!! is from the middle ages?? She is SPUNKY and SMORT and FRIENDLY and LESBIAN AS FUCK!!! best friend Kali, also a pheonix, found her and showed her the ropes. Also a teacher's aid/parapro

Emmet - Step son of Katy and ""nephew"" of Jay (Katy is the granddaugther from Jay's story) Dad has cancer cause I hate myself :CCC Emmet meets Rai during the many visits to the hospital w his dad. Emmet doesn't have magical powers but Rai is from a long line of sorcerrers. He goes to Ayres while his mom is struggling to cope w the prolonged death of the father and her newborn twins. (This is where Jay and Lorcan psuedo adopt him loolol) Rai ends up enrolling. Little sister of Tre, Charlie, would be roped into their friendship and they would GO ON MANY MISADVENTURES

Silas - teeeechnically an old flame/college boyfriend of Jay's. But their relationship now is SASSY BROTHERS. A dragon from a pack in ROUGHLY New Mexico. His great uncle knew Jay's mother and acts like a father to both Jay and Silas. He and Jay are very bonded w the kids of the pack and help them learn to handle their powers

Kai and Real - jfc omf i'm ... this... okay Kai and Real are TECHNICALLY A COMET AND A START RESPECTIVELY. (Spoiler loll turns out they're symbiotic aliens that attach to the celestial beings and do it so young they almost never remember - magic powers, GLOWING, empathic abilities, flying) they've been raised as brothers and Kai ""orbits"" Real

Kai is a fantabulous comet, and takes a super femme boy appearance, loves dancing, and his BF Kyo the werewolf (rofl look)

Real is a star and slated to be the next wishing star for earth (idfk man i was 16 when I first made him) he has great power and is wonderful with magic. However when he has his first heartbreak at the school, he finds himself overwhelmed by his own power and ... gets sick... for brevity lolol. As he tries to tell his adoptive father somethings wrong with him, he is increasingly brushed off. As his school life and love life continue to be stressful at best, he has another episode and now fears he's too unstable to be the wishing star. Terrified of what this means, as it was his only goal in life to become a wishing star, he's lost and unmoored.

HAD it gone to plan, Real would have been put through a confusing hell of not being able to use his powers without hurting himself and everyone around him being confused and unable to help. Millenia down the line, Kai a fully grown "adult" would be part of a group of time keepers. As far as I remember, he begins being sent to the past, almost cruelly to run into Kyo (who would have died again, millenia ago) about the same time as they finally figured out that Real connected with his star at a little too old to fully grow with his star's power and that's why he's been so overwhelmed and sick. It never had a truly satisfying ending, with future Kai, unable to watch himself and Real go through the horror again, telling present Kai/Real what's wrong and then having Kyo hold him as he ceased to exist. And the only real answer for Real's dillema is to live on earth as a human, completely cut off from his life and ideas for what they should have been.

the only bright spot in all of it is Raein <333 (@netlexia's) who, HILARIOUSLY AFTER THE GROUP DIED OFF, became Real's soulmate

THE OTHER ONE'S I'VE THROWN IN AND MADE A WHOLE BOOKS WORTH OF IDEAS FOR ARE REAL AND RAIEN. THEy HAVE CHILDREN GUYS I .. I'M A PROBLEM

Medieval AU - Made for Raein and Real, includes all my ayres characters and some friends ocs. Raein has been possesed by a demon after it killed all of Raein's friends, fearful of letting the demon harm others he turns into a hermit, but happens upon Real, a young man with some sword training who has been cursed to cry when he fights. Real has been separated from his magic tudor, Jay and has been searching for him. He stays with Raein to take a rest and begins to fall for him. A month passes and fall begins to set in, when Raein's possesion worsens and while being attacked Real seems to erupt with magic. They agree to head out to a city known for it's magic to help themselves and have the STRANGEST ROADTRIP OF THEIR LIVES.

SIDEPLOT Cien (@netlexia's again lol) is a young king in the magic town, Jay has been attacked and is being treated and healing in the castle after saving the Knight's Captain. However, when Cien comes to see Jay, Jay mistakes him for the Captain and not the king. HIJINKS ENSUE. Endgoal was Jay Cien, but now we've got Silas to factor in so idk lol

COLLEGE AU - Again for Raein and Real. Real is in the law track, Raein is in the computer sciences track. They meet while Raein is barista-ing? loll at the in school coffee shop (two AUs one stone) they study together and quickly begin to become attracted. They date, is good. 10/10 soft and nice

Merm AU - Made more by Net than me but overembellished on my end rofl. Raeins a merm, Reals a human (turns out to be half merm half human or a "sea witch" in the world of the story)

Storm Chasers AU - Jay, a college student taking an internship w burnt out weatherman Cien, chase storms to report on them for news stations. Cien is a good meteorologist but got ousted at his last station. He took to storm chasing to make ends meet. Jay is a fairly carefree, fratboy LITE, science major. Through spending time and some ROUGH STORMS they fall in with each other. Jay helps Cien realize he's too isolated and needs and deserves love and care. DIRTY VAN BOYS

WEREWOLF AU - I'm gonna be painfully honest. This started out as me, on an LOL WHIM asking Net who her idiots would be if they were in ABO heirarchy. We ended up with Cien, a beta who was THOUGHT to have been an Omega and was courted by a powerful family and their Alpha son, found out his real loll type?? and was rejected by the Alpha and kicked out by his family. He grew up on the streets, realizing he could pretend to be an omega and get more money. After a while he moves up and is now working at a strip club doing an ""omega"" pole dancing routine. ENTER SILAS, on a bachelors party w some buddies and sees the routine. Having an impeccable sense of smell, Silas clocks Cien as NOT AN OMEGA immediately and is like ????? Silas lives close by and Cien has to walk a bit to a bus stop, so they frequently run into each other on weekend nights.

This has devolved into more of a werewofl AU than true ABO tho. There's pack politics w Silas' fam. Jay and Silas help kids in their pack learn to be able to stand up to alphas. Laz (the great uncle) operates a rescue ring for omegas and or betas who are being trafficked and Silas has seen too many horrors and struggles with going on rescue missions.

Truly super wonderful and nice to have an AU to just shower Cien w love and affection

WIERD SPACE TOY STORY AU - so whaT HAD HAPPENED WAS, i worked in an electronics department, we played a movie for like a month to 2 months. ONE TIME IT WAS FUCKING TOY STORY 2. Andy's a reg kid, who's parents died on some space fighty mission. Bo and Woody were close friends w Andy's parents and adopted him. Bo and Woody were married/serious, but amicably split. They are basically the ppl running a rag tag team on a space station. ENTER BUZZ a pilot for Star Command who has come to the space station. Suspicious and unwanting of Star Command oversight Woody is unwelcoming to Buzz. However Andy adores Buzz as the space hero legen he is and Buzz is painfully kind to Andy. Woody comes to respect and then have a friendship w Buzz as Andy helps melt each other's facade. AND THEN IT GETS GAY, YOU FIND OUT BUZZ IS HIDING IN THIS BUTTFUCK NOWHERE STATION TO GET AWAY FROM ZURG AND KEEP PPL SAFE FROM HIM. OOPS ZURG ATTACKS THE STATION.

Summary : Jendralkhan & The Great White Shark was in charged of watching over Zahwa, Spike, Twitch, & Bella while Paddle Pop, Liona, & Magus were on the mission (AZ pinkself ain't even know how in the world did they manage to get The Great White Shark to also watch over the kids-). The Great White Shark was a little bit suspicious of the way Jendralkhan was acting, maybe it's bc Jendralkhan has a little bit of some pink-ish hue on his cheeks, Jendralkhan always jump when he was barely been touched, Jendralkhan covering his mouth, and finally, Jendralkhan always avoiding eye-contact with the kids, and the elder shark. The elder shark asked the kid's if they knew anything abt the way Jendralkhan was lately acting, but instead of just a simple answer, the kids explained the concept of "Lee-Mood" and exposing Jendralkhan...

Another day, another crowd of fishes in the Dewan Laut, discussing something...

But today, the Dewan Laut's crowd & discussion wasn't the important case, because...

"Guys, will you promise me to watch over them?" Paddle Pop asked to the Ocean's toughest Knight, & The Great White Shark.

The Great White Shark was at Dewan Laut!? Wow! How rare! He visited Dewan Laut!? But, why is he watching over the kids?

"Do not need to worry, Paddle Pop," The White Shark assured Paddle Pop, "We could watch over them," The King continued, "Plus, I might as well watch over them, I've got nothing to do anyways" The King added.

So, The King decided to watch over the kids because he had nothing to do!? Well, that's a one way for a king to fill up his schedule, AND also cure his boredom-

"Don't worry, Paddle Pop," Jendralkhan reassured the Lion King (Pun definitely NOT intended ;)). FOR THE 150TH TIME. "We could watch over these tadpoles" Jendralkhan said, joking a little-

"Why did you call them Tadpoles?" Paddle Pop asked, a bit confused of Jendralkhan's nickname for the Kid's whole group.

"Cuz their TINY! Duh!" Jendralkhan answered, "Their height wasn't even tall enough to reach my waist..." Jendralkhan continued, in As-The-Matter-Of-Factly tone.

"Hahah! That's true!" Paddle Pop agreed.

"Now, now, we shouldn't waste anymore time! We need to go to the Phoenix Ship, Magus is waiting for us!" Liona said.

"Oh, right! We need to go now, bye!" Paddle Pop said, waving at the Ocean's Strongest Knight. "We'll see you guys when we get back!" Paddle Pop added while he walked swimmed his way out the drowned building & entered the Ship.

"Byee!" The knight & the king replied at the same time.

"Hmm, I hope they finished their mission successfully!" The king hoped for Paddle Pop & his friends.

"Now, Jendralkhan," The king turned around just for a second, "Wh-" The King's question was cut when he realized that; Jendralkhan somehow wasn't there anymore.

"What!? Where did he go!?" The king turned his head left & right to look for the younger knight. The king SWORE the younger knight was right NEXT to him just a few seconds before the king turned around!

Then, the king heard giggles from one of the rooms. The king entered the room, and saw the kid's sitting on the floor, talking abt something.

"H- hey guys, have you guys seen Jendralkhan by anychance?" The King asked, stuttering a bit.

"HWAA!" AZ screamed, not expecting the King to suddenly come into the room out of nowhere-

"Hm? Oh, uh, sorry, I didn't see him" Spike replied, apoligizing.

"I didn't see him either" Twitch also replied.

"I didn't see him. I was talking with Twitch, Spike, & AZ in this room the whole time!" Bella replied.

"I was at the halls next to this room to get a drink, then is saw Jendralkhan heading to the library," AZ answered, pointing to the direction where Jendralkhan went. "But if he wasn't there, then I don't know where else he went. I only saw him heading to the library" AZ added. "Also, sorry for suddenly screaming, I wasn't expecting you to suddenly enter this room" AZ apologized.

"It's ok!" The Great White Shark replied, "Also, thank you for the answers!" The king added before heading to the room Jendralkhan headed to.

"You're welcome!" The kid's replied, all at once.

"Now, where were we?" Twitch asked, wanting to continue the conversations he had with his friends.

Meanwhile, with the Great White Shark & Jendralkhan...

As the king almost swimmed past the library, he saw Jendralkhan sitting near the window, looking out the window.

At first, the king thought that nothing was wrong, but he lost that thought after he saw a glimpse of Jendralkhan's face. The king saw... A BLUSH on Jendralkhan's cheeks!?

The Great White Shark's eyes widened a bit, then it hit him.

'Jendralkhan has been acting weird today...' The king thought to himself, 'Him avoiding eye-contact with me, him BLUSHING, him suddenly jumping when I slightly touching him, and him covering his mouth,' The king continued his thought. 'Could it be...' The king thought, feeling a bit concerned. 'Naah, he might just had a bad mood today' The king thought, thinking that Jendralkhan had a reason why he was acting rather wierder than usually.

A few minutes later...

It's 08:30 now, Jendralkhan still hasn't acting like how he acted the last day the King saw him.

'Hmm, Jendralkhan is still acting weird...' The King thought, the King's concern about Jendralkhan's actions got bigger & BIGGER.

'You know what? The kid's were a lot more closer to Jendralkhan then I am,' The King thought of an idea, 'Why don't I ask them?' The King thought once again, heading to the room the Kid's was in last time he saw them.

"Hey guys," The king greeted the kid's.

"Hello!" The kid's said, turning their heads to the Great White Shark.

"Hello" AZ replied, holding her phone with 2 books, a pen, & a pencil case in front of her.

"How are you guys doing?" The king asked the kids.

"Me, Spike & Bella were just talking!" Twitch replied.

"Really?" The king asked again, "What were you guys talking about?"

There was a silence for a bit, and the 3 other kid's exchange looks before the kid's said "We forgot what we were talking about" at the same time.

"Huh? How come?" The king asked again, wanting to know how in the world did they even forget what they were talking about!

"We talked about quite a lot of things the past minutes" Bella replied.

Welp, that made sense-

"And Zahwa? What are you doing?" The king asked.

"Doing homework" Zahwa said, typing something on her phone.

"Well, if you had homework, do it now!" The king said, "Don't play with your phone when your homework isn't done" The king continued.

"I got quite a lot of homework to do," Zahwa replied, "I'm done with the ones on the book, just needed to send it to the teacher." Zahwa continued. "I also got a pop quiz homework, it's on my phone, and I'm doing it right now..." Zahwa added. "Thank goodness the homework & the quiz wasn't Math-" Zahwa added again.

"Well then, good luck with your homework!" The king said.

"Thanks!" Zahwa said.

"Now, do you guys happened to know why Jendralkhan has been acting weird lately?" The king asked, getting to talk about the thing he came to the kid's room for.

"Weird like what?" Bella asked.

"Finished!" Zahwa suddenly yelled, standing up and tidying up the pile of school stuffs on the floor & putting it on her school backpack.

After that, Zahwa sat next to Bella and asked "Now what did I miss?".

"Anyways," The king said, after Zahwa sat next to Bella, "Jendralkhan was acting weird because he avoided eye-contact with me, somehow blushing for no reason, he covers his mouth, & he jumps when I slightly touched him," The king explained the whole thing, "I don't think he acts like that the last time I met him, do any of you guys know what happened to him?" The king asked.

"Well, he did avoid eye-contact with us," Bella said.

"But I think I remember I saw a bit of a pink-ish hue on Jendralkhan's cheeks," Spike continued Bella's sentence,

"And he indeed jumps when I touched his sides to get his attention," Twitch continued Spike's continuation.

"And he's covering his mouth..." Zahwa said, holding her phone.

"Could it be..." The 3 other kid's said at the same time.

"He's on THAT mood?" Zahwa answered-ish the 3 other kid's question, still holding her phone, typing something.

"Oooooooh... OOOOOOOH WAIT, That made sense-" Twitch said, realizing that THAT mood might be the reason why Jendralkhan has been acting weird today.

"What mood?" The Great White Shark asked, he couldn't process what does the kid's meant by THAT mood.

"The Lee Mood!" Spike & Bella said at the same time.

"Lee... Mood?" The king said, confusingly.

"Oh goodness, now I have to explain it..." Zahwa said, seemingly embarrassed to explain what was "Lee!Mood".

"What is a Lee Mood?" The king asked, not even understanding what does that word means.

"Ok, first off, the word Lee stand for Ticklee, and Ticklees are a person who enjoy or are being tickled," Zahwa explained, "And the word Ler stands for Ticklers, and Ticklers are a person who enjoys or are tickling a person." Zahwa continued, "And the word Switch means that a person who enjoys both tickling someone, and being tickled. And that means I'm a switch-" Zahwa continued again, "And second of all, to answer your question; Lee Mood is a mood where you wanted to be tickled, but a Ler Mood is a mood where you wanna tickle someone," Zahwa answered the King's question.

"Oh... So that means..." The Great White Shark said, in a questioning tone.

"Jendralkhan WANTED to be TICKLED? Yeah, he definitely does-" Zahwa continued the King's sentence.

"Wait- is Jendralkhan even ticklish HIMSELF?" The king asked.

"Trust us, he is INDEED ticklish," Zahwa answered the King's question, kinda turning off her phone. "Don't believe us? I recommend you to tickle him yourself" Zahwa recommended.

"But, what if it won't work?" The king stuttered.

"Trust us! It WILL work!" Bella said, reassuring the king.

"Ok..." The king stuttered, finally agreeing to the kids. "But will you guys help me?" The king asked.

"Help you to actually tickle him? Nahh" Zahwa said.

"Watch YOU tickle him? Yass!" Bella said, continuing what Zahwa said.

"Help you by telling you which spot to get next? Yeah!" Spike said, continuing what Zahwa & Bella said.

"Record the whole time when you tickle Jendralkhan? Yeah!" Twitch said, continuing what Zahwa, Bella, & Spike said.

"What!? Y- you're gonna record me tickling Jendralkhan!?" The king asked, not expecting what Twitch said.

"Yeah, duh!" Twitch replied, "It's our tradition to record ppl that was being tickled!" Twitch explained.

"But first of all-" Zahwa said.

Later...

"-Got it?" Zahwa asked, making sure that the Great White Shark remembered wich spot to get.

"Ok, I got it!" The king replied, "Wow, Jendralkhan was surprisingly ticklish for a tough knight like him!" The king exclaimed.

Meanwhile, with Jendralkhan & The Great White Shark...

"Hey, Jendralkhan," The king greeted as he entered the room Jendralkhan was currently in.

"Oh, hey there, your highness," Jendralkhan greeted back, with a rather tired tone. Jendralkhan wasn't actually tired tho.

"Are you ok?" The king asked with a concerned tone, "You've been acting weird today, is everything alright?" The king continued, rubbing the knight's back.

"Y...- Yes! E- everything's alright! Heh..." Jendralkhan stuttered, looking away & covering his mouth with a wobbly smile.

"Hm? Are you sure?" The king asked.

"If you are indeed alright, you wouldn't acted-..." The king said, "Weird like today..." The king continued as he started tracing Jendralkhan's back.

"Gyahk!" The knight slightly screamed as he arched his back when he felt the sensations.

"I- I dohon't know what you're- hmhm- talking about!" Jendralkhan said, letting out a few giggles & is still covering his mouth.

The Great White Shark widened both his eyes & smile after he heard Jendralkhan's giggles, then said "You have such a cute laugh!" The king complimented, "I'd love to hear more of it!" The king said as his eyes were half-closed into a set of mischievous eyes...

Jendralkhan widened his eyes in horror, and the next thing the young knight knew; The elder shark grabbed his staff/trident, and cast a spell to grab Jendralkhan's arms, held them up, and held them against the walls, pinning the knight to the walls.

Incase if you're wondering what did the Great White Shark did to his trident after he casted that spell : The king also cast a spell that maked his trident magically stands up while is not being held by someone, and just let go of his trident and focusses more on his tickliah prey...

Welp, Jendralkhan's DOOMED now.

"Now, Jendralkhan," The King said, "Do you happened to be..." The King cut his sentence, then placing his hands to Jendralkhan's sides after continuing his words "Ticklish..?". The King earned a small muffled giggle as soon as he placed his hand onto the younger knight's sides.

Jendralkhan gasped whisperingly & widening his eyes upon hearing The Great White Shark's question.

"N- no!" Jendralkhan answered with the WRONG answer, "W- why would I even be ticklish?" Jendralkhan questioned back.

"Really..?" The King said questioningly, squeezing the younger knight's sides after asking "If you're not ticklish, then why did you react when I do that?" To Jendralkhan, clearly pointing to the King squeezing Jendralkhan's sides.

"Gah! Hmhmhm! Noho!" Jendralkhan verbally fought back.

""No"? "No" what?" The King asked.

"No tickling!" Jendralkhan grunted as he said it.

""No tickling" you say?" The King asked, "But it's a "Yes tickling" for me!" The King teased.

"NOOOOOHOHOHOHOHO!!" Jendralkhan both protested & laughed upon hearing the King's words, closing both his eyes shut.

FINALLY!!! JENDRALKHAN BROKE!!!

"Jeez, no need to shout! I'm right in front of you!" The King joked, smiling widely. Clearly, the King's enjoying tickling Jendralkhan. (AZ : Me too, your Highness. Me too.)

"Gahahahahaha! Hohow dihihid yohou knohohohow!?" Jendralkhan asked, demanding to know how in the WORLD did The Great White Shark knew that Jendralkhan was ticklish!

"Simple! The kid's told me about it!" The king chirped out an answer.

"WHAHAHAT!?" Jendralkhan said, not expecting the king's answer.

"I noticed that you were acting weird today, i got a bit concerned about you acting that way, so i asked the kids about it!" The king said, "And instead if them only giving a simple answer, they just thought me a whole new lesson about the concept of "Lee mood"..." The king added in a teasy tone.

"Screhehehew yohohou kihihiHIHIHIHIDS!!" Jendralkhan nearly SCREAMED as the king traced on Jendralkhan's stomach.

"Jeeheez, Jendralkhan! You're so sensihitive!" The king teased, laughing at Jendralkhan's laugh suddenly went up an octive!

"Oh, and also; If you want me to genuinely stop, just say "Oyster", ok?" The King said, giving a save word.

"Ohohokahahay!" Jendralkhan replied, feeling glad that he was given a save word.

The Great White Shark smiled upon hearing Jendralkhan's laughs. The king had NEVER seen a knight as redicilously ticklish as Jendralkhan! And Jendralkhan had NEVER laughed this hard & loud ever since the day that Remora decieved Jendralkhan to be evil.

"Now, Jendralkhan, i have a favour to ask you," The king asked Jendralkhan to do his favour, "Do you think you could do that?"

"Suhuhure, ihif you let me gohohohoho!" Jendralkhan replied.

"You don't need to be let go for doing my favour, because..." The King said as he grabbed a green, fluffy, & soft feather that Twitch definitely didn't tickle Prof. Higgabottom to gave a feather straight from his wings, and just gave it away to The Great White Shark, then continuing "I want you to laugh harder, and louder!".

'Uh oh... I'm doomed...' Jendralkhan thought to himself upon hearing the King's last sentence.

And the next thing he know, The King traced Jendralkhan's stomach with the green feather, and Jendralkhan absolutely lost it!

"GYAAAAHAHAHAHAHA! AHAHAHAHAHAHA! " Jendralkhan laughed out loud, Jendralkhan cannot take the feathers tracing his stomach.

The Great White Shark laughed along Jendralkhan as soon as the king saw Jendralkhan's reactions then said "Ahaw! You're so cute when you laugh like that! You should laughe more, kid! Your laugh could make a sad oerson happy from just hearing your laugh! That definitely worked on me!" The king exclaimed and complimented.

Jendralkhan only laughed more, not replying to the king's comment. (In reality, he just doesn't know what to say or react to the king's comment. Plus, he's being tickked to bits! Jendralkhan could barely say a single word without laughing)

The king stopped tickling Jendralkhan with the feather and asked "Now, are you ticklish here?" Before squeezing Jendralkhan's underarms.

"Aahahahahaha! Thahat's ahalot mohohore behehetteheher!" Jendralkhan laughed, his laugh got more calmer when the king stopped with the feathers.

"I'll take that as a "Yes"!" The king replied.

Then, the king started scratch Jendralkhan's armpits, earning a loud growly scream from Jendralkhan.

"GRRAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! GYAHAHAHAAA! NAHAHAHAHA!! NOHOHOHOHOT THEHEHEHEHER!" Jendralkhan screamed out loud.

""Not there"? Why not? Is it because it's too ticklish?" The king said in a teasy tone, smiling widely, half-closing his eyes, and raising an unexisting eyebrow.

"YEHEHEHEHEHEHESS!! NOW STAHAHAHAHAHAHAPH!" Jendralkhan complained.

""Stop"? Didn't i told you to say "Oyster" if you want me to genuinely stop?" The King said, pointing out the fact that he gave Jendralkhan a saveword.

"Or, perhaps..." The king cut, "The kid's told the truth about you enjoying being tickled?" The king said in a teasy tone.

"NAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! NAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAT TRUHUHUHUHUHUHUHUE!! IHIHI HAHAHATE TIHIHIHIHICKLEHEHEHEHES!!" Jendralkhan complained through is loud laughter.

""Not true"? If that's not true, then why didn't you use the saveword i gave you?" The king asked.

"I'll give you 5 seconds for you answer, and i'll stop!" The king said, as he moved to Jendralkhan's underarms.

"Ihihihihin your dreheheheheheheams!" Jendralkhan barked.

"Your funeral" Is all the Great White Shark say before he grabbed an electric brush that Zahwa definitely didn't grab off her father's office and gave it away to the Great White Shark.

The elder shark turned on the electric brush, and let Jendralkhan heard the buzzing sound the brush made.

The brisstles of the brush was vibrating like crazy that it even made buzzing noise.

As soon as Jendralkhan heard the buzzing noises, Jendralkhan widened his eyes in happiness fear.

And then, it happened. The electric brush made contact with Jendralkhan's stomach. And i also think it's save for me to consider that Jendralkhan absolutely LOST it.

"GYAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! AAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! NAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA- NAHAHAT THAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAT!" Jendralkhan laughed, smiling widely.

"STAHAHAHAHAHAHA- STAHAHAHAHAP!!" Jendralkhan barked.

"Remember Jendralkhan, i gave you a save word, and i also give 5 seconds for you to to answer my question" The king said in a rather teasy tone.

"AHAHALRIHIGHT, AHAHAHAHALRIIIHIHIHIHIGHT! I'LL TEHELL, IHIHIHIHI'LL TEHEHEHEHEHEHELL!!" Jendralkhan laughed, FINALLY giving up!

The Great White Shark smiled, turning off the electric brush, took his trident and took the spell away he casted on Jendralkhan, and turning back to Jendralkhan.

"So, was it tr-" The king said, but was interrupted by Jendralkhan.

"Yes. It is indeed true that i ejoyed being... T- tickled" Jendralkhan stuttered, and Jendralkhan's blush got deeper and deeper as soon as Kendralkhan said the word 'Tickle'.

"I- i'm just trying to hide that mood, but the more days gone by, the more bigger that mood gets!" Jendralkhan exclaimed.

"Why were you trying to hide that mood, if i may ask?" The king asked.

"I... I thought others might think i'm weird..." Jendralkhan answered, "I'm a knight, and knights weren't suppose to enjoy tickles, weren't they?".

"I'm a king, and kings weren't suppose to be incharge of watching over kids and teenagers, or tickling others, weren't they?" The king exclaimed.

Jendralkhan just stared at the Great White Shark for a second or 2, then looked back down the floor.

The king sighed, then said "Jendralkhan, i understand that you enjoy tickles and you being a knight. But knights could and have the right to enjoy ANYTHING they want, including being tickled".

"I'm a king, but i enjoy hanging out with kids and play with them. I could do it for hours if i want to" The king said, "I know kings like me wasn't suppose to enjoy that, but i also know that everyone, including me and you, still had the right to enjoy things we want or like. Wether their a knight, a king, or a villager, they still had the right to enjoy things they want, even if they wasn't suppose to enjoy them" The king continued.

At that sentence, Jendralkhan could only smile and said "Thank you so much your highness," Hugging the king, "I really needed that".

At the response, the King wasn't actually expecting Jendralkhan to hug him, but the king just hugged Jendralkhan back and said "You're always welcome, dear".

"It's been so long since the last time i was ticklee mercilessly like that, thank you" Jendralkhan thanked the king.

"When was the last time you've got tickled before, if i may ask?" The king asked.

"I- i don't remember..." Jendralkhan answered, "But, i still remember the last time i was tickled by my bestfriend Remora. And that day stoppee when Remora decided to backstab me, and left me to be Shadow Master's servant".

The Great White Shark gasoed in shock & disbelief, then said "I apoligize, but he's such a horrible friend! I bet Paddle Pop would've been a better best friend for you".

"It's ok, and i also proved the fact that Paddle Pop would've been a greater friend for me myself" Jendralkhan replied.

They smiled for awhile, then hugged eachother.

"Thank you so much, your highness, for everything!" Jendralkhan said, thanking the king.

"You're welcome, dear" The king replied.

"Now, i think you needed some time alone after i tickled you, so i'll be leaving now" The king said.

"W- wait!" Jendralkhan said.

"Hmm? What's wrong?" The king asked...

"Well, if you don't mind..." Jendralkhan stuttered, "I... I haven't said "Oyster", didn't i?" Jendralkhan 'Asked'.

"Oh?" The king said before smiling mischievously and said "I'll gladly continue it".

"Thank you" Jendralkhan said.

"No need to thank me, kiddo" The king replied, "You've thanked me for quite alot of times before, and plus; Don't you remember of what i told you today?" The king said.

Jendralkhan only smiled in reply.

Then, the Great White Shark reclaimed his trident, re-cast the spell he used to pin Jendralkhan, then went back to tickling Jendralkhan.

A little while later...

"PPPBBRTHHH!!"

"AAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!"

The king raspberried Jendralkhan's stomach, and by that point, the word 'Oyster' would've been the oerfect word to say.

"GYAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! OHOHOHOHAHAHAHAHA! OHOHOYSTEHEHER!! OHOHOYSTEHEHEHEHER!" Jendralkhan said, he got just a bit tired from the tickles.

The Great White Shark noticed this, and stopped his attacks.

"I'm sorry, but i just have to know if what the kid's say was the truth..." The king said as he started to scratch Jendralkhan's chin.

"Hmhmhmhmhmhmhm! *Purr~" Jendralkhan giggled. And PURRED.

The king widened his eyes & smile, then said "Ahaww! That's adorable! They are indeed telling the truth about you purring when your chin is scratched!" Whilst laughing along Jendralkhan.

After a minute or 2, the Great White Shark stopped attacking Jendralkhan's chin and took away the pinning spell.

Jendralkhan was left breathless, untill the king decided to attact Jendralkhan's chin wich helped Jendralkhan calmed down a bit.

"Told ya he'd purr!" Someone said at the doorway.

The 2 sharks looked towards the doorway the sound was coming from, and saw the kid's leaning at the door! But, in Zahwa's grasps, there was a camera with a flickeeing red light!

And that only means 1 thing... And that is...

"What!? What are you guys doing there!?" Jendralkhan asked in a shocked tone.

"Remember what i said?" Twitch asked, with his eyes were mostly set on the Great White Shark, "We would record you tickling Jendralkhan!".

"But didn't you said, Twitch would be the one recording me tickling Jendralkhan?" The king asked.

"Well, i would if we could use our phones" Twitch said.

"But if we our phones to record you, it would took alot of our phone's storage space" Zahwa explained.

"And plus, Zahwa haven't even thought us on how to use the camera she was holding anyways" Spike said.

"Hmm, that ma-" The king's sentence were cut off.

"Guys! We're back!" Paddle Pop said as he enter the drowned building with Liona.

The kid's gasped and smiled as soon as they heard Paddle Pop's iconic voice.

"PADDLE POP!!" The kid's screamed and ran swam away towards the enterance of the Dewan Laut. And ofcourse Zahwa turned off the camera before she swam away.

And ofcourse the 2 others sharks went to the enterance way to greet the land & sea heroes.

The kid's & the 2 other sharks met Paddle Pop & Liona at the enterance of Dewan Laut and greeted them.

"Hello Paddle Pop!" The kid's greeted.

"Welcome back Paddle Pop!" Jendralkhan greeted too.

"Welcome back" The king also greeted too, "How'd the mission go?" The king asked.

"It went very good!" Liona answered.

"How about you guys?" Paddle Pop asked, "How's everyone doing?".

"We had an amazing day today!" Bella said happily.

"But i bet the Great White Shark & Jendralkhan enjoyed this day much more than us does~" Twitch said in a very teasy tone.

The Great White Shark only giggled at what Twitch said, then the king said "Yeah! I actually do!" Happily, "But what about you Jendralkhan?" The king asked.

"I had the best day of my life!" Jendrakkhan responded happily, "And i thank you for that, your highness" Jendralkhan said to the Great White Shark.

"You are and will always be welcomed, dear" The king replied.

Paddle Pop & Liona was left in visible confusion, and Zahwa realized this.

"Oh, if you 2 didn't get what actually happened; Just check the security cameras" Zahwa said calmly.

"HUH!? WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY THAT!?" Jendralkhan asked.

"Didn't you remember? I helped Dewan Laut improve their security system by setting up security cameras in every single room this place has!" Zahwa explained, "There's even a camera in the room they're in while they had alot of fun~!".

Paddle Pop & Liona got even more visibly confused, so they got to the security room of the Dewan Laut.

After they did, they were in AWE of Jendralkhan being tickked to bits! And they were also in AWE that the coldest king could be so supportive, and soft!

And eversince that day, Jendralkhan no longer had fear of showing, doing, or talking about things he enjoyed and liked.

We had the rights to like, enjoy, or talk about things we liked, no matter if we weren't suppose to, or were suppose to.

There might be alot of people who seemed strong on the outside, could be weak on the inside. Just like Jendralkhan.

And there are might also be alot of people who seemed cold on the ouside, but is warm on the inside. Just like The Great White Shark.

I am wide awake despite having gone to bed and also Karm has now read enough of the books that I can talk about it without spoilers for the most part so here we go

I mean, it’s the most iconic moment right. All that angst at the beginning about having a dragon is resolved and Laurence says “my dear, I would rather have you than any ship in the navy” and we all clutched our hearts and died

Laurence thinks about what he wants in life. And really, being in the Navy did rather suit him. He likes the adventure of serving in the military but also the idea of having a settled home to come back to. And, despite everything, he really does enjoy high society. Tharkay meets Laurence’s high school sweetheart who he is too criminal to marry :( but then they go on a secret nighttime mission!

Tharkay, bemused that Laurence doesn’t understand why Edith’s husband is acting all weird is like, “it’s because you’re the coolest man ever. We’re all either jealous or pining how do you not know this”

Heartfelt Tharkay/Laurence conversation number ? Tharkay: Bro, you don’t have to do terrible things just because nobody respects you anymore. Laurence: :’(

Having assumed none of his friends will ever want to speak with him again, Laurence consoles himself that if Tharkay is willing to sail on the same ship with me for months, he must not absolutely hate me completely and ignores all the ways Tharkay continues to purposefully maneuver himself into Laurence’s life

IDK if this one stood out to anyone else, maybe I was just oblivious, but on said ship it cuts to a scene where the two of them are playing cards and Laurence refers to Tharkay by his first name and I nearly spit out what I was eating because I knew they were friends but not like, friends friends

Tharkay asks Laurence if maybe he wouldn’t be happier being a pirate. It is not clear to Laurence that maybe just maybe Tharkay would join him? Maybe? if it was on offer. No homo

Hammond (I love Hammond) is running from a scary monster and falls to the ground. He hears a deep powerful voice sternly tell the monster to fuck off and looks up. We, the reader, experience the book equivalent of a shot that pans up a character to dramatically reveal their sexy yet intimidating self. Practical boots, worn faded clothing, rough beard, kind blue eyes, tanned skin, calloused hands, a rifle, and a big hat. Hammond takes a moment to realize wait, this is William Laurence. I take a moment to realize wait, William Laurence is hot??????

GRANBY IS GAY, Y’ALL (If you reread the books now, you will catch many moments of Granby and Little walking into scenes together, other characters mentioning they saw them together a moment ago, or passing each other food. I love them)

After months of not remembering anything from the past ten-ish years, Laurence happens across Tharkay and is like “Oh wait, yeah this guy is awesome how could I forget him” and remembers everything

Can’t say anything from the last book! Because Karm hasn’t read it but oof there are some moments. Also I’m leaving out entire amazing characters and all the dragons but there’s just so much! good stuff! in there!

Hey, i hope you're doing well. I discovered your blog recently, you're answers r interesting n better insights than more of jikookers have. I want to put a thought here which is there a long time. ITS 1 Tae wanted to have convo with jk, I didn't understand that why he wanted to do it on cam? The awkwardness/distance they got probably might have a reason? Maybe of diff of opinions/ego strike btwn them? Whatever it was off cam. Even if we assume, it is harder to make an interaction after long time with the disconnected frnd still this whole epi can be done off cam as well. Like they can meet via jimin outside. I didn't understand the point of that conversation in front of million fans? I felt like it can sort out privately. Or this whole is jus a marketing strategy by company? Now that conversation happened so we r seeing more of tkk? Idk. I hope I made sense without being negative. Thank you.

I honestly have no idea why he chose to do it there....... I've wondered the same and every guess I have of why is as clueless as yours tbh.

I went to check on what I told my friend when that episode aired and I said:

"I'm surpised Taehyung chose to do this on the show. Not that thrown off by the whole matter in itself, that's just life, it happens, but the fact that he planned to have a conversation about it in front of cameras."

Then we talked a bit about taekookers theories and my friend said:

"If I was one of them I would be devastated that all the time I spent swooning over my fav ship, my ship hardly talked to each other."

Honestly, both points were the hardest for me to understand and the second was the most difficult to come to terms with, because of who I thought JK was.

The "theory" that makes the most sense to me, and it's just my own conclusion because I've never seen anyone talk about it, is that maybe Taehyung decided to have that conversation after the May 5th taekook vlive. It wasn't a horrible live, but it wasn't a happy live either. I think that maybe Tae watched it, and realized that their vibe was off and a couple weeks later, when they were filming ITS, he decided to acknowledge that lack of chemistry on camera.

I might be completely utterly outrageously wrong, but if I think about how they were during the end of 2019 and beginning of 2020, there's no apparent conflict. Nothing seemed wrong during those days, in fact they seemed better than ever. I can't imagine either of taekook watching themselves cuddling on GDA and saying "yeah we need to address and explain this". You know that saying why fix something that isn't broken? So it makes sense to me to consider that maybe Taehyung saw something that looked off between them, and realized that probably everybody was seeing it. I know at least I would've wanted to explain why my friend and I don't seem to vibe after watching that live.

That's just an opinion I have and it makes sense to me because that live was like, the most inmediate thing before the filming of ITS.

Because otherwise I don't understand why publicly solve a conflict that nobody really knew existed in the first place. Apart from that live (which wasn't even thaaat bad but it wasn't good either, especially when compared to other duos lives), they looked perfectly fine to me all along the time they were supposedly awkward with each other. They looked perfectly fine right inmediately after that conversation, too; in fact they looked quite the same as before the conversation 😭

So at least in my opinion, Taehyung had to have noticed or felt like the conflict was out there, so the resolution for it had to be done out there, too. I personally can't think of any other instance that might've looked like there was a conflict apart from that live.

I also wonder how long was that "awkward" phase? When did it start, was it in the beginning of 2019, was it in March 2020, April 2020...? All JK said was that as they got time on their own, a part of his relationship with Tae started to get awkward. He never said they were distant, tho. Just that a part of it was awkward.

The other possible reason that I consider, is that Taehyung decided to have that conversation on camera for personal reasons, and Jungkook was a bit like collateral damage, like killing two birds with one stone. I know Jungkook would've not wanted to do that on camera but it happened like that because Taehyung wanted it to happen that way. It was an opportunity for Taehyung to talk about himself, the way he didn't feel like he was loved, the reasons for him to spend so much on weverse trying to connect with army, I don't remember well but he kind of let on a bit about having some sort of career crisis. I am definitely 100% sure that Taehyung wanted to put all that out there and having that conversation with JK was a way to bring all that up within some kind of context. If you think about it, it was supposed to be a heart-to-heart but JK barely spoke about himself, it was mostly Taehyung who talked about his feelings, who actually opened his heart; which is okay anyways, since he was the one who decided to do that in the show.

Of course there were some editing decisions made and the conversation in reality didn't last only two minutes, but yeah I don't know what else was said so all I can talk about is what I watched. And I watched Taehyung opening up his heart and JK giving nice advice.

I was never suspicious per se of why he wanted to have that conversation on camera, but I was confused about why solving a conflict that didn't seem to be there in the first place. Like you said, it could've been done privately. I don't know if he wanted people to say "oh tae he's so great he wants to fix things etc", because yes, they all also do stuff with that on mind sometimes. So I think that's a valid possibility, too.

Maybe it was the whole vibe of that place, maybe they were all on their periods (joking) at the same time and were sensitive. You know how when you start opening up, you just keep going. When you're in the mood for sentimentalism it's easy to keep being sentimental. I'm a woman, but I'm sure men feel like this sometimes, too.

So... yeah. What do you think could've been the reason?

i'm curious, what are your top 10 favorite rinharu moments in high speed and high speed 2?? i love the books. i don't understand why people say is impossible to ship rinharu if you read them...

Lmao who are those “people”? As in multiple? And are they from Mars? I do not get this. You cannot be serious. You probably meant “impossible not to ship”?

I don’t know about top ten, I love all of their interractions tbh, they just remind me of my fav type of romance in general. I know what are my top 5 I think, but after that I love everything, so it’s hard to rate.

1. My absolutely favorite moment will forever be the one, where Rin describes the way he sees Haru in the water, I’m seriously forever in awe, because, I’ve read a lot of books, and like... even period dramas got nothing on Rin Matsuoka, when he describes the love of his life. I mean, seriously, find yourself a person who sees you the way Rin sees Haru lol

Rin felt like he was touched by the light, that surrounded him with warmth. He turned around to see Haruka, who was glowing. Shining. Haruka was shining with every strong and confident stroke that he made. The outstanding energy, emitted from him, surrounded Haruka with the dazzling light and Rin froze, unable to look away. Rin’s heart was beating so hard in his chest, that he forgot how to breathe. Haruka stole his heart. And the further away he got from him, the more distance grew between them, the more uneasy Rin felt, like he was losing the control over his emotions. He was possesed by Haruka’s shining. His strokes looked as if he was hugging the water, his leg movements were so effortless and so elegant, as if water herself was moving him to the finish line. But in all these deceptively smooth and unhurried motions were so much strength and power and such incredible speed, that all his opponents didn’t stand a chance. His swimming was that transcendent reality. He was like a bird dancing in the sky with its wings spread wide.”

Dude... I’m like... still speechless. I mean, and not just this, but everytime Rin talks about Haru, even when he jokes about his stupid habbits, you still feel that he finds him so beautiful, inside and outside, that it just makes my heart melt.

2. When Aki tells Rin that if you put him and Haru together, you get a perfection.

“That guy has no sense of humor. He should learn by watching me, don't you think?" Rin joked lightly.

Aki laughed a bit at his words. "It's true. Add the two of you together and divide by two, and it would be perfect."

But I mainly love that moment, because like... Aki starts telling him, that Haru is not what he's pretending to be (like for some idiots in the fandom who call him selfish, that was the explanation for them xD) and how everyone always want something from him, and he never asks for anything in return and doesn’t have anyone to lean on (yup that’s what I said all along, too, with Makoto’s dumb behavior in difficult situations, he’s on his own there lmao). And she waits for Rin to deny it or like be surprised, but it turned out that that’s exactly how Rin sees him and that he cracked him from the very beginning. BTW, here’s your addition to the ask about Rin loving Haru for who he is and seeing him for who he is. I’m just in love with that moment, because I’m happy that he just... not only he knows him, but bc he’s not one of those many idiots who just don’t get it.

"Nanase-kun seems like he can do anything all by himself, doesn't he? He's good at studying and sports and even art. He really can do anything, right? That's why everyone relies on him, but it would really be something for Nanase-kun to rely on anyone, wouldn't it?"

Rin certainly thought this was true. He had only just transferred, but the image that Rin had of Haruka was exactly that. But even if Haruka didn't have the will to go out and get involved with other people on his own, it wasn't like he was completely isolated. On the contrary, he was considered the most reliable person in their class, and when people relied on him, he always did his best to meet their expectations. This was the strange balance that people around Haruka had to maintain.

3. The one when Haru calls Rin by his name for the first time. And I honestly for some reason didn’t even realize that this moment was in the anime until my 3rd rewatch (lol), but, man, little Rin’s reaction is the most adorable ever. I cry.

4. When Gou meets Haru for the first time and immediately goes “ah so you’re Haruka Nanase, the one, who my brother talks about 24/7...‘Nanase is so cool, Nananse is so fast!’” and Rin just goes red lmfaaaaaooooo.

5. When Haru says that he feels the fever running through his body each time he just sees Rin, but he doesn’t understand what it means... ahem.... OH WELL

6. When Rin tells them he’s leaving and Haru gets absolutely furious and calls him a selfish jerk, but then he feels his legs giving out and he thinks that he needs to be in the water, but then he realizes, that for the first time in his life it won’t save him and he’s so lost and fucking crushed. "you can’t just mess up my whole life and leave me like that” and “this can’t be true, I can’t be this weak.” aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa fucking hellish angst... that mix of emotions was seriously hideous, at first he was so confused and in denial, he couldn’t even think, he literally went “who is leaving?” and then it just all blew up. Poor baby.

7. Just all the little moments, when Rin notices everything Haru does and falls in love a bit more each time. Like when Haru slowed down, when he saw that Nagisa is having troubles of keeping up with him.

Nagisa was earnestly trying to keep up with Haruka. If he kept up that pace, he wouldn't be able to run next to Haruka for the whole trip. That was how it had been yesterday. Nagisa's breath was coming short, and when Haruka saw him slow down a pace, he lightly turned his eyes downward. I guess that's as far as he goes.

A sigh mixed with Haruka's long breaths. Then, by just a tiny increment, Haruka let his pace slacken.

"Oh?" Rin said quietly. Haruka could almost hear him saying "You're so nice, Nanase," and he tsked inwardly. Nagisa caught up to him, smiling as if it hurt a bit. It looked like he'd lost the energy to keep talking.

Just cute, and they watched each other all the time, it’d be a bitch to count each one, but god, all of them were cute.

8. All the moments of Haru pulling Rin’s pigtails... hilarious, especially the RinRin one, but the funniest and my favorite was when Nagisa turned to Haru to ask him for a permision to call Rin Rin-Rin, like... all the rights to Rin belong to Haru and vice versa lmao I agree. “I’ll allow it” lolz shut it, Haru.

9. This moment: “Something happened inside of him that made Haruka incredibly angry, he was so pissed, that he didn’t even want to swim anymore. To think that someone like Rin could make him feel such powerful swirl of emotions and make him such a mess... he felt disgusted with himself.” Yeah, Haru, love is dat bitch when you’re 13 lol

10. The one where Haru whispers “sorry for making you feel that way” to Rin? The one where Rin’s grandma doesn’t want to go to see the relay, but then she suddenly does, when she finds out that her grandson’s future husband is in it? The “he at that moment realized that the only thing Rin was concerned about was Haruka” one? I don’t fucking know, you pick haha ANY MOMENT, ALL THE MOMENTS XD

BUT in all seriousness, I do not get how you can love Makoharu after the novels. Like do people just ignore these moments:

“Haru waved Makoto off like an annoying fly”, “feeling annoyed by his obnoxious care, Haruka went right past him”, “feeling like Makoto’s smile could turn into tears any second now, Haru turned away and went to the showers” (fuck this shit I’m out lmao), “complitely ignoring him, Haru kept walking”.

??????? is this... does anyone find this amazing??????!!!!!!!!!!!

Or when Haru was literally fucking losing it, cause Makoto just repeated everything after him and how he just lost all the respect in that moment.

“I feel like I should also get into running.” Makoto said it as it was a joke, but Haru knew for sure that it wasn’t. More than that, he knew, that Makoto was going to ask him that ever since the moment he found out that Haru was running this morning. Haruka fel annoyed, because he couldn’t find the excuse to refuse him.

Or this moment:

“Makoto was late and Haruka didn’t have any reasons to wait for him. Makoto can catch up with him on the way, they’ll meet at the swimming club either way. For both of them it’ll be better, if Haru went by himself, than stood there and waited Makoto, slowly losing his temper.”

“Haruka felt uncomfortable, cause Makoto looked at him, as if was a weak”

Or this:

"Did you know I was going to come out here?" Even though he knew it was impossible, Makoto couldn't stop himself from asking.

"Nope."

"Then, why…" are you standing in a place like this?

"Watching the sunset."

and I can go on and on and on

and the fishies... oh my fucking god, the fishies

I’m just saying, all these moments are not even funny. My point in all this, that like no matter how much Haru loves Makoto as a friend... or got used to him is what I personally think, I don’t think he’s ever gonna idk how to say this... respect him as a human being? admire him? And this whole situation... I just can’t appreciate such kind of relationships even in a friends way.

1stly because Makoto’s behavior in general makes me have war flashbacks to some of my real life experiences (and yeah, I confess, it affected me and that’s why I don’t like his character a lot; because I don’t think many people know what it’s like to deal with these kind of people in general). 2ndly, cause Makoto fans keep trashing Haru and many call him selfish bc of the way he treats him, but what they don’t understand is that if it wasn’t for Haru being this harsh, Makoto would literally became even doormat-y than he is now (yes, it’s possible lmao).

P.S. my favorite in the novels tbh is all the Haru “I’m surrounded by idiots” moments, like when they started to dig the frozen soil with little scrapes and he was looking at them like they’re morons and then just silently walked away and came back with a giant shovel... “if you keep doing this with your tiny scoopers, we’re gonna be here all night” and they then they just watched him as he did everything himself LMFAO I just love him so freaking much. I also think his relationship with Nagisa are incredible and so underrated, since it’s a huge and incredible part of the books. I just keep saying, Haru’d be an amazing dad, so I can’t wait for him and Rin to adopt xD

P.P.S. And what about the Free! novelization????!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAA
