#just more evidence that I'm bad at headcanons LMAO

Note
For the headcanons game, perhaps an AU where when Eobard goes to kidnap Eddie in s1, Barry gets to that bridge just a teeny bit quicker and saves Eddie (by Eobard kidnapping him instead)
YES. WHUMP. This is absolutely not something I really really hoped would happen when first watching the episode at the ripe age of 9. Nope. I was a completely normal child.
Ah. Remember when Eobard took a blood sample from Farooq, saying he’d love to know how he was able to steal the Flash’s speed. And that plotline went nowhere? Whelp, that would not be the case in this universe. Because of this, Eo wouldn’t need to keep Barry in Star labs which —alongside simply not having a speedster to search— will make rescue a lot more difficult. He also knows what he's doing, knows how to hack and deactivate all the trackers and tech in Barry's suit to ensure he won't be found.
This situation forces Eddie or Joe to tell Iris Barry’s the Flash (hell, Eddie may just yell “Barry!” When he’s taken and that gives it away) and she's going to be pissed. Like canon, they don't/can't report Barry as missing, and with him out of commission; Thawne doesn’t need to send Grodd, which means they can just focus on finding him. It would be even more tense for everyone because Wells/Thawne taking Barry actually makes sense which is somehow scarier than the alternative of the kidnapping being random. They’re just hoping they can find Barry before a man who hates him enough to kill his mom when he was 11— kills him too.
Meanwhile, Barry is not doing great because Thawne isn’t particularly worried about meeting his food calorie needs; just making sure he doesn’t die of starvation. Plus, Thawne isn’t keen on giving him information about, well, anything. “Why the hell am I here?" "What’s happening with my friends?" "What are you working on over there, I can’t turn my head enough to see it—" etc. These questions, of course came after empty threats, a lot of shouting, and probably the threat of a gag if he wasn’t quieter. The cherry on top, Thawne was acting weird towards him, lingering a little too close for a little too long. Rescue really couldn't come sooner.
Eobard figured out a way to replicate Farooq's powers to not just deprive Barry of his speed-- but transfer it to himself so he can run home. Luckily for him, Barry's compliance isn't needed, unluckily for him; it will take a few days to a week for Barry to be completely drained. Luckily for Barry, that gives his friends time to find him, unluckily for him... the process is extremely exhausting and painful.
Cisco doesn't even realize what was happening, just that one second, his hand was on the mannequin where Barry's suit would normally sit, and the next second-- the world had gone blue and Barry was there in front of him; tied to a chair with his eyes squinted shut and watering. He wouldn't normally trust whatever that was, but with no other leads and days flying past far too quickly; he decides to tell the team what he saw.
Two possible timelines: 1. Cisco is able to hone his powers enough to get Barry's location and they arrive just in time... or 2. just too late.

Kim's Motivations vs Privileges // A Meta Rant
This has been sitting in my drafts for a while, so I figured I'd post it~
I’ve talked a little bit about Kim’s place in the mafia before, but I don’t think I ever got into detail as to what his motivations are, in regards to being part of a known crime family in Bangkok. So I figured I’d talk about it, since I’ve been mulling it over for the past eight months or so!
So, one of the most common takes I’ve seen in the fandom (from where I’m sitting, anyway) that feels like it's often taken for granted is that Kim is interpreted as actively trying to get away from the mafia. Or if not that, already out of it completely.
More specifically, from his family.
And meh, honestly? Who tf knows what goes on in this guy’s head, lmao! While I admit that it can be argued there is some evidence for this, I’m more personally inclined to think that Kim’s privileges as the youngest son and his personal motivations are—more often than not—misconstrued.
Now, just to be clear, I'm not totally against the idea of Kim being out of the family business/trying to get out of the mafia. On the contrary, it's a neat headcanon to explore, both in the realm of fanfiction and as a way of understanding his character arc when watching the show. What I'm more iffy on though is the fact that there are a number of cultural aspects to this idea that I feel like are—not willfully disregarded, per se, but there is a bit of a western bias to it.
And before I go on, my usual disclaimers
I’m not calling out or policing anyone; this meta is just an opinion at the end of the day, and something that I've been thinking about for a long time, so I thought it would be good to get it down succinctly. Y'all headcanon him in the myriad of ways you want, even if that includes him distancing himself from the mafia ongoings of the Theerapanyakul family. You do you, since that’s what fandom is for! Besides that, I can happily acknowledge that it makes for some delicious fic drama~
Culture is never static, it's an ever-changing set of mindsets and values, and by no means should it ever be seen as the be all end all when it comes to this sort of discussion.
I'm Filipino (more specifically, Filipino-Chinese ancestry), not Thai, the two cultures are very distinct in their own ways. There are cultural overlaps, but otherwise, these are only my opinions as a SE Asian, and in no way meant to be seen as a full authority on the subject, as lived experiences differ greatly even amongst those who grew up within the culture in question, or adjacent to it.
Having said all that, this rant is examining Kim's privileges in the context of Asian family dynamics and cultural traditions, and taking into account as to what those said privileges he enjoys could possibly motivate him to do. I'm also gonna include some novel bits, so if you haven’t read the book, here’s your obligatory spoiler alert warning, as well as my one plea of “please don’t attack me for reading the book and using it as part of my basis in arguing my thesis.”
But I digress!
In regards to my claim, this isn’t necessarily a bad thing; if anything, it goes to show how effective BOC, Daemi, and Jeff were in developing his character, that the Kim we see in the show embodies a key characteristic of his that’s very loyal to the original novel: his thoughts and motives are often hard to read, and even his own family members have trouble trying to understand what he’s really thinking.
I for one can definitely say that Jeff leaned heavily into Kim's character archetype of a cool and mysterious love interest, which we do see a little bit in the book.
As we see below, per Korn:
Tumblr media
Like in the show as well as the book, the audience doesn’t really know what Kim is thinking.
(Just as a little side note, even within fandom, I think that's probably part of the reason he gets such a bad rap—yknow, outside the Kimchay community—and on the other side of that, there are sometimes conflicting interpretations (which is a good thing, we're engaging critically with the media!) in regards to what motivated him to make the decisions he did.)
He’s not a main POV character in the show, so his motivations are pretty murky, since it can be argued just as easily that his sleuthing behind the scenes can be seen as a way of strengthening his own position within the family, as it is his own efforts in protecting his brothers.
Perhaps it’s both or more than that—or hell, perhaps none of those things; it’s not as if he’s only allowed one or just those motivations, right?
Having said that, what the audience does know about Kim and can confirm, are the privileges he enjoys as the third son:
he was able to move out early and live on his own
he does not have as many bodyguards, which enables him to go sleuthing behind Korn’s back
he has the freedom to pursue a career in music, since that’s his main interest
In and of itself, the privileges Kim enjoys, if anything—demonstrate a lifestyle in which he is neither trying to run away from the shadows of the Theerapanyakul family’s infamy, nor is he really trying to gain a foothold within the mafia’s hierarchy in order to up one, or all of them. And I believe that's the entire point of his character, because we're not supposed to understand what he's thinking.
The way I see it, Kim enjoys the privileges as mentioned above because of the fact that he’s the third son of the top mafia family in Thailand, not the other way around. And because I see them more as privileges, they don't necessarily mean anything in terms of what motivates his actions.
There’s a few reasons for this:
Pursuing the Arts and Asian Style of Parenting
There’s a bit of a negative stigma in Asian cultures in general when it comes to pursuing the arts. Mind you, this isn’t unique to Asians, but it’s also a much more noticeable sentiment in Asia (i.e. the stereotype of Asian tiger parents wanting their kids to pursue something that contributes to society and makes a solid income, like doctors and lawyers). Asian parents in general tend to be overprotective and controlling of their children’s futures, and there’s still a relatively pervasive idea that one’s education is strictly tied to their lifelong career.
We see this in a multitude of ways in the show: for example, when Kinn first brings up his interest in music to Porsche during their ep. 6 forest adventure, he speculates on his father paying off the judges in the music competition he’d participated in. Even if at the time, Tankhun would presumably have still been the heir and Kinn was freely allowed to participate in the event, Korn exerted a tremendous level of control to ensure that Kinn came out on top, irrespective of how Kinn himself would feel about this.
Tumblr media
Another example: Chay himself is willing to give up a college education, let alone study music, due to having seen how much Porsche struggles to financially provide for both of them. In the scene below, he makes it known that he's open to the idea of using the last of his parents' savings for his education in order to move some place else.
Tumblr media
For Chay, the prospect of college is in and of itself a privilege they can't afford and at large, speaks very much to the wealth gap and inequality that still exists in Thailand, as it does for other Asian countries. It's not hard to understand why Chay is easily able to give up the opportunity of the oral interview in his dream school, besides just being heartbroken—he's always been more willing to face a reality of lifelong struggle, so long as it means he and his brother are together.
It's only because of Chay's own obedience to Porsche and his respect for him, that he even makes a show of going to the interview, rather than outright admitting to Porsche that he's no longer interested in going to that particular school. His short stint of teenage rebellion in the second half of the show is hidden from Porsche, in order to maintain the illusion that he's following the path Porsche specifically worked hard to set up for him.
Of course it goes without saying, this is no way meant to discredit Kim's work and effort to maintain a career in the entertainment industry, free of his family's influence or financial manipulation in that field. What I will say however, is that Kim's access to wealth, as well as the freedom afforded to him, allowed him to pursue his passion in music with significantly fewer obstacles, in comparison to Chay—enough so that the negative stigma is a bit of a moot point.
And we all have some idea of how Gun views Vegas’ culinary interests. :’D
Traditional Gender Role(s) and Internal Sexism
If we were to compare Kim's situation with any other character that would have been in somewhat similar circumstances regarding "leaving the family business," the only one that comes close to fitting the bill is Nampheung. Arguably we could also count Macau in terms of the lack of family involvement, but presumably since Macau still relies on his father and brother financially to support him, I'm leaving him out.
In the flashback scene with Nampheung, we see indicators of a contented life she's already begun to lead, away from the Theerapanyakul household: she's married with two kids, her husband runs a successful business, she manages to find time to pursue her passion in art, etc.
For all intents and purposes, she lives independently, and seemingly without having to rely on her adoptive brothers and father.
And yet, we know how Nampheung's story plays out, regardless of which brother pulled the trigger.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mind you, although Korn and Gun's reason(s) for wanting Nampheung to return to the Theerapanyakul household has less to do with her sex and more to do with what she and her husband knows (whatever the heck that means, lol), it doesn't mean that a double standard, when compared to Kim's own living situation, isn't baked into it.
(And again, before I continue: this is in no way discrediting Thailand's efforts in furthering gender equality at large. The Thai government has made significant strides in improving women's rights, particularly in the work force. Despite this however, challenges still remain to this day, as do for most countries, when it comes to this particular issue.)
Why is it that Nampheung—a woman who was able to make a life for herself completely free of the Theerapanyakuls' influence—was still forced to return with Korn and the danger of being involved with the Theerapanyakuls, and yet Kim—who we can argue still benefits greatly from his family's (ill-gotten) wealth—is somehow able to more fully enjoy the freedom Nampheung could have only dreamed of and experienced for a short time?
In the same episode when Porsche reunites with his mother under the worst of circumstances, Gun makes a plea towards Nampheung to return to him, that he would be the one to protect her. The scene paints Nampheung as a damsel very much in distress, and though Gun claims to love her, he still treats her as a prize to be won, to take his side in their family conflict.
Tumblr media
The framing of this theme in the show, of "trying to get away from the family," is gritty at best, heartachingly frustrating at worst.
I think this in particular is part of the reason why I'm less inclined to believe that Kim moved out strictly to not involve himself in the business. Like, for my own peace of mind, I try to temper this point (perhaps to my own detriment), yknow?
Personally, I feel like since Kim is able to live comfortably outside the family compound and pursue his music career, there would have had to be some sort of return or condition for this to be allowed (one of them being, he knows how to fight and protect himself).
After all, as Korn himself said:
Tumblr media
Filial Piety and Birth Order
I've talked about this plenty of times before, so I won't get too deep into it (haha), but this perhaps plays the biggest role in what is disregarded in the "western bias" I spoke of earlier.
As a working definition, filial piety means showing care, gratitude, and obedience to your elders, be it one's parents, grandparents, ancestors, etc etc. This virtue is one of the most important cultural aspects in Thai culture, as well as other Asian cultures, and underpins the very bedrock of our communities.
I've written out another rant before that Porsche's initial judgement of Kim moving out of the family home hints very much at not only his own specific veneration of the family unit, but his internal biases in the way he sees how a family should function.
TL;DR: Kim moving out is something that Porsche does not see as a good thing whatsoever, despite his own misgivings about the Theerapanyakul family, when he first starts working for them. Porsche sees Kim's actions as being egotistical and self-serving, and to a certain extent, unfilial towards his family.
And part of this filial piety is the obligation that in their parents' old age, children are expected to take care of them. We see this in a couple of different ways in how Kim behaves towards Korn:
In the first and only scene they have together, Kim brings Korn one of his favorite snacks, to show consideration towards his father while stopping by for a visit, since his main objective (besides snooping around) was to ask Korn why Big was assigned to him.
Tumblr media
Although the highlight of the scene shows the very mutual distrust between father and son, Kim still shows how dutiful he is towards Korn. He makes a point to show that he's very aware of his father's preferences in many different things: his food, his requirements when hiring bodyguards, hell—even the way Korn organizes his private space and his use of secret cuckoo clocks to open locked drawers, lolol.
The filial piety he exhibits towards Korn is, to a certain degree, very much a front. Yet its very role as a front in how Kim interacts with his father is telling of how much there exists a familial hierarchy between them, and that Kim still respects and is a product of his upbringing. He's not openly hostile against Korn, or even against whatever Korn has up his sleeve with Porsche's employment; if you think about it, at least up until Kim realizes he's fallen in love with Chay, Kim has the least to worry about with Korn's intentions in hiring Porsche.
Theoretically, anyway.
Another point, for which I've brought up before in another meta: at the end of the day, Kim is unable to actually disobey his father, as shown in this scene when Chan comes down to escort Kim to see Korn.
Tumblr media
While there are definitely times in the show that Kim plays at straddling the line between filial piety for show and disobedient, spoiled child, at the end of the day, the deference he feels compelled to show Korn is still a leash around his neck. Even in this scene where Chay has gone missing along with Porsche, Kim cannot yet, if ever, cross that almost insurmountable boundary of actually going against Korn's word.
Especially given the context of this scene, at the eve of the Minor Family's coup.
In fact, I could even go so far as to say that perhaps another one of Korn's conditions for allowing Kim to live away from the compound, is Kim's obedience.
To be honest, Kim's place in the familial hierarchy of the Main Family is very much a double-edged sword, in that his position as the third son is simultaneously the place of least expectations from Korn, and thus, the one with the most freedom, yet also the last bastion of Korn's hopes and expectations for their family, should Kinn become unable to perform his job as the current heir.
The way I see it, though Kim doesn't have the pressure of running the mafia empire, he still carries the weight of authority that his name represents, and Korn (as well as the very environment and culture that he grew up in) holds Kim to that, as his father, as the one in position of authority in their family.
In retrospect, I think that's part of the reason BOC chose to elevate Kimchay's love story as much as possible, despite their story being almost entirely absent in the first novel the show is based off of.
Kim needed to be humbled by falling in love with Chay, because he too carries the weight of power like Vegas and Kinn. And like the other two men, he needed to understand what it meant to have a weakness.
(As a side note too, in terms of tropes in fiction, Kim's position in the hierarchy actually fits a number of them: Youngest Child Wins, Rule of Three, and Underdogs Never Lose.)
Conclusion
Kim, for me personally, is such an intriguing character because he represents both what Tankhun has long forgotten (and perhaps never even had in the first place—ambitions of his own, a passion to pursue outside of his family), as well as what Kinn had lost, when he took up the mantle.
Personally, I think the fact that he has these privileges—being able to live outside the compound, not having to involve himself in the tedious running of their family businesses, etc—gives him more reason to stay within the fold of the Theerapanyakul family (despite his emotional distance), not less, even if we don't take Chay into consideration.
We may not know what Kim is thinking, but beneath his aloof exterior, I'd like to think that, at least when it comes to his brothers and his father, he's not entirely self-serving (Chay is a different story, lmao).
Because again, at the end of the day, although Kim enjoys a lot more freedom compared to his two older brothers, there are still a lot of familial ties and obligations—forged and solidified by his upbringing and the culture he lives in—that even his genuine love for music and his burgeoning idol career can't fully replace or throw away.

Hey. Not to be intrusive or tell you who to like or not or write about, that's entirely your business. But I'm not sure if non German fans are aware of this. There are several credible allegations against Till Lindemann, for sexual coercion, sexual harassment, sexual acts with severely inebriated fans and underaged fans. It's been kept rather hush-hush outside of the German scene and even inside the scene a lot of "well it's just he-said-she-said" was used to shut down people talking about it. So I was wondering if you knew. Just since it seems in rather bad taste to write non/dubcon rpf about an (alleged) predator.
Hey! It’s actually incredibly well known for any fan that knows of Rammstein and chooses to do research. There’s plenty of articles, notes, and what have you. What I’ve heard last is that the case/ assault allegations have been dropped due to lack of evidence and “vague allegations”. And the articles posted about this were from 2023 if I remember correctly.
Whether it’s true or not that he has done those things, I don’t really know. And in the end, It’s not my job to defend him, nor do I really choose to get involved in it. I love the music of plenty of problematic people. I can’t choose what they do, I can’t force them to be “better”, but I can enjoy their music if I so choose and write whatever I’d like!
I also want to note that if you look at my masterlist, there are notably no fics written about Till. He is certainly not my first choice to write about (which is probably pretty apparent with how much Schneider is on that masterlist lmao). Till’s a great musician and incredibly talented, but I just don’t align with his personality, and that makes it difficult for me to write about him. I’ve had a few requests, and maybe someday when I feel more comfortable doing so, I’ll write about him. I still enjoy hearing all the headcanons and requests so this certainly isn’t me saying I don’t want anything to do with it! I mean shoot, maybe this will kick me in the ass to start writing solo fics about him!
But I will include him in my Ich Will fic because of course, he’s apart of the band and important to the story. But in saying that, there will be no drugging, raping, dub/noncon in this fic regarding him. But you do have to keep in mind, all of this is fictional before anything else. Just because I capture their personalities at least a little bit well, doesn’t mean I’m writing exactly about them as people. It’s an AU!
I hope this doesn’t come across as rude as it’s all purely informative and my own opinion. I appreciate you sending this message since it was obviously sent to inform. But being a fan of both Rammstein and Till’s solo project, I’ve heard the rumors and I’m abreast of them even if I choose not to respond all the time.
In the meantime, I hope you can enjoy my other fics and send in a request if you have something you’d like me to write!
Much love! <3

For the character ask meme: 2 for Zeb and Kallus and 26 for Odo, please! :D
thank you for the ask, flower!!
2 - favorite things about Zeb and Kallus!
this one is SO tough for me, both because I love them both so much and because at this point I've read so many headcanons that sometimes it's hard for me to remember which are canon and which aren't. for Kal individually, as someone who grew up in a conservative home and believed fox news for a time, I see a good amount of myself in him. my favorite thing is that he dares to ask the questions that he knows will put himself/his beliefs in a bad light, but he still keeps digging until his heel turn. it makes me have hope that other people can do that same type of introspection and realize that the only good imperial is one who leaves the empire. also, I love his snark that we see specifically in Zero Hour but I'm sure was always there and always will be.
my favorite thing about Zeb is almost the other side of the coin of Kal's: his ability to forgive and see the good in someone even after they have hurt him. he's not a pushover, but he knows that if someone (i.e., Kallus) is going to make the effort to reform their ways, they deserve that second chance. of course there's tons of headcanons and ideas about how their relationship develops after Atollon and how long it takes for them to become friends, let alone something more, but they do become something more. in spite of what happened to him/his people, Zeb does not view things as strictly black-and-white, which is an incredibly difficult thing to do even when you don't have intense trauma tied to a person and their actions.
for the two of them TOGETHER. hoo boy. their connection is literally prophesied. the Ashla drew them together. yall. ugh. UGH. and they work so well together as soon as they allow themselves to be on the same side. it's gonna be a long time before I stop thinking about these two.
26 - something Odo has done that I can't get over -- hMMM. I mean, in the most basic way, I do hate that Odo is a cop lmao. on the flip side of that though, while he is often very authoritarian and likes to get the job done rather than respect sentient rights, I very much enjoy that he also abhors killing. I haven't watched DS9 in a minute but I remember Odo explicitly saying that he has no need for phasers, and while he bends the rules in the way gathering evidence or personal privacy works, I don't recall him ever just beating a person up. the one time (that I remember) that he does kill someone it's to save the rest of the station and it's a Huge deal narratively (because it's another shapeshifter). ALSO, if he weren't against the grain of the standard cop enough already, he forgives Garak. their friendship develops AFTER Garak tortured him extensively. he knows what it's like to be isolated and doesn't want others to feel that way.

Watching hermitcraft right now because I'm a couple months behind whoops and from the pov I'm watching, they're currently messing with the boats on leads and all that but all the flying. it's got me thinking wings.
The headcanons and depictions of some hermits having wings rather than using elytra gives an amazing opportunity to put detail into the way that affects how the fly, specifically in the use of legs. wing headcanons are usually based on types of birds or bugs and I'm thinkin fellas. If a character has bird wings, they're likely gonna use the legs a lot more mimicking the way a bird would use it's tail, probably moving separately and with more specific angling yeah. And different birds would do that in different ways. And if the wings are of a bug, the legs would likely stay quite close together and be less reliant on precise angling and separate movements but would still matter. There is SO much potential here. SO much. Because someone using an elytra wouldn't have as much experience or the instinct on How to do that. It's all learned from scratch for them. Added together with the way an elytra would obviously have different shaping and all than a pair of proper wings, that'd have a huge affect on the flying style. It'd be like the difference between someone who just knows how to ice skate and an experienced figure skater. But I guess with that comparison it'd be kinda flipped. Arms instead of legs. What you do with arms does matter when you ice skate btw. If you're bad at ice skating try to helplessly flail a bit less. And carrying on from that the way they learned to use whatever kind of wings they have would absolutely matter too. It would be evident who they learned from in the style that they fly in. If someone with bug wings tried to teach someone with bird wings to fly it probably wouldn't go very well at all lmao. But. Do you understand what I'm getting at here. I'm rambling and it's messy and I don't explain it very well and I've probably repeated at least one of the sentences three times but PLEASE tell me someone understands. I am so abnormal about this concept. I'm thinking about all the details. so hard. Brothers sisters and siblings. There are. So. Many. Possibilities.

I’m just gonna be blunt here: I’m an Omori fan, and I read your analyses because I like hearing other people’s perspectives and opinions. A lot of the time, I don’t agree with the conclusions you come to- but I do like how you often point out different details in the plot of Omori that are worth thinking about!
So I just wanted to give some constructive criticism about some of your analyses: You often seem very closed-minded when it comes to other people’s ideas, or other opinions, that are more positively of the game. i.e., counterarguments. Many times, it seems sort of like you dismiss any counterclaims as untrue, or just not as important. I could be misinformed, of course, in which case, I apologize. 🫂
But it might be worth the time to think of a counterargument someone might use against your analyses. Find the evidence to SUPPORT that counterclaim, so that it’s more validated that someone might have that counterclaim to begin with. And then find evidence AGAINST the counterclaim, that counteracts the evidence FOR it. I hope that makes some sense.
I hope you’re having a good day, and I’m genuinely sorry if this comes off as disrespectful in any way! 🫶
You often seem very closed-minded when it comes to other people’s ideas,
If I was, I wouldn't have spent as much time talking with all the people I've talked with as I did.
The problem with most OMORI analyses I've come across is that they can be easily disproven with a cursory glance at the source material. They're more fanfiction people write to fill in the obscene amount of blanks the story has than anything else. All I'm doing is comparing those takes to what the game says, and most of the time the takes just don't match. At all.
I don't think there's anything inherently wrong in writing your perfect version of a story in your head. I will, however, take issue when said perfect version is either passed as analysis of the story's text or used as a counterargument.
Additionally, in what I consider to be one of the funniest interactions I've ever participated in, one of the fans I talked with straight-up told me I need to headcanon all the plot holes and bad writing away lest I end up hating the game.
Tumblr media
Many times, it seems sort of like you dismiss any counterclaims as untrue, or just not as important
If they can be disproven with canonical evidence (or simple logic lol), then yes, they are untrue.
But it might be worth the time to think of a counterargument someone might use against your analyses
Considering most of the counterarguments I've had to contend with were either hinging on a misconception that could be disproven with canon/just thinking about it, petty insults, insisting that Sunny and Basil aren't responsible for their actions because they're children or interpreting criticism of the characters as a personal attack, I don't find taking the time to think of them to be necessary.
I still have yet to find one analysis where the thesis doesn't boil down to "the tears i crode 😭😭😭😭😭" or "this game is so good because i relate to Sunny so much. no i will not mention the fact he has blood on his hands. he's just like me fr fr." Then again, 99% of the fandom has blocked me by this point, so it's extremely unlikely I'll ever find it lmao.

HIII DOLL HAIII DOLL HIII!!!!!!!! :D
I suppose i'll talk about my Duck guy head cannon or some of them. bout time i do-
Ok so first ive noticed the trio never FULLY agree on anything usually (Except warren being a bitch boy lmao) Like As an example Red guy would love cheese, but yellow HATES it and duck just doesn't really care. Two of the trio would be on opposite sides of whatever there yapping about while the thirds in the middle opinion wise
In show example: In transport red guy wanted to leave. Duck wanted to stay and yellow wanted a lil trip.
Now i also think the webseries and tv show are connected BUT THATS JUST ME- i know that's more of an unpopular headcannon for the series.
now i think these thoughts go onto how the trio sees roy. Yellow LOVES roy. despite all the bad stuff. Even if yellow doesn't remember the shitty things roy does or treats him he is always hopeful.
Red guy HATES roy. he doesnt remember why, Hell- he probably doesnt even remember roy at all. Like imagine having a terrible nightmare where someone hurts you, and you meet that person irl. in reds perspective hes probably just scared of some random dude he barely knows.. But he does know him, just doesn't fully remember.
But that means ducks our middle ground here. and i think thats interesting. And thus i had the "Uncle duck" theory
(I see them as puppets in a puppet world cus thats more fun for me personally but this interpretation can be included in "they were humans once" theories too :] )
But i like to think duck knew roy. Roy and duck were friends. and thus yellow guys "Uncle" Not biologically but like your parents friend who hangs out all the time so you just end up calling them that.
and i like to think thats why subconsciously yellow guy really loves and has an admiration for duck! And why subconsciously duck hurts yellow sometimes. Because roy did it, it was normalized. that and they live in a house where violence is so normal ducks mentally ill ass might she violence as a love language of sorts.
i think the family episode has some "Evidence" though i wouldn't call it that lmao.
Duck diddnt have a family. So maybe roy was that too him. maybe thats why and how he got wrapped up in all of this in the first place. MAYBE thats why Lesley seems to despise him so much too.
in the family episode the twins say this the moment ducks gone At the family tree scenes. or along the lines of i dont recall.
"thats our uncle! and uncle is someone you like. but you dont really care or are sad when they leave " Could be lesley throwing shade at duck or trying to tell yellow not to care about him.
that and in yellow guys dream we see duck TWO times. (I think i gotta rewatch the series again fr works been tough)
The obvious dog duck ! and one scenes were we can see roy looking out a window.. but duck is also there. right next to that same window. dogs often represent loyalty and the fact ducks right behind roy during the scenes where yellow gets hit by the car. is just interesting i think.
I also think thats why the batteries thing affected him SO SO MUCH. not only did the status change, and thier lil hierarchy. (Duck just doesnt like change its apart of his character)
But if duck SAW the accident that broke yellow. and made him act and behave so differently. It probably wasn't a nice time for duck at all. its the same kid you babysat but hes just different. Uncannily different.. you hate it but you are aware its the same guy just you hate it..
and duck 100% forgot this a long time ago. but yellow guy putting in his batteries and turning back into that kid. Was probably crazy-
Duck watched yellow guy go from "Smart yellow" to "Yellow guy" and then when his minds been broken and fucked by this weird house.. . "Yellow guy" turns back into "Smart yellow" That change and uncanny feeling and that daja vu duck was feeling I feel. personally just works with how hes acting in that episode. Hes uncomfortable, scared, Its a change and he doesn't like change but this change feels familiar and BAD.
But thats just my main interpretation of duck and theory for him.
Hes not related to yellow but he might as well have been called "The dad"
Hes the dad that stepped up and then down again, then got stuck on the infinite stairwell in mario 64.
But im just yapping about my lil ideas for the bird man. Throw stones and tomato's at me if you wanna! Put me on a thrown or on the street next to a trash can. disagree or agree i dont mind !

The only reason people say Lloyd was maltreated is because OG Lloyd suffers from “Draco in Leather Pants”, where a character with major negative flaws has those flaws massively downplayed. Along with any evil actions or rude behaviour they committed ignored or retroactively justified as them being the actions of a “victim” who is lashing out, despite all evidence to the contrary. This mostly done so that the fandom can have a new “Woobie”, a character who makes you feel extremely sorry for them, to write angst about
On the other hand, Arcos suffers from “Ron the Death Eater” syndrome. Where fandom decides to take a good character who committed a few mistakes in the past, exaggerating that characters’s small negative flaws or mistakes to massive proportions. Or even assigning evil acts to the character that the character never committed. This way people can have convenient antagonist who hurt the “Woobie” in the past or continues to do so, thus making the “Woobie” the victim in the scenario.
These are all symptoms of people wanting to make more “Whump” fanfic. Whump fanfic is fanfic where a character undergoes various different forms physical and mental suffering. These insubstantial takes on the characters in order to create “Whump” completely ignore other avenues rife with potential “Whump”, ones that are even supported by the source material.
Such as Kim Suho constant struggles with the fact that even though he now has the life he always wanted, being free from debt, in a safe financial positions, and being surrounded by a loving family, he has to contend with the fact they aren’t’t his. He has to handle the guilt he feels when interacting with Arcos and Marbella due to the belief that they don’t know that he not there son. That he effectively stolen another person’s life, though through no fault of his own, and has now undeservedly gained that person’s parents.
Then there is Julian, who suffered plenty of abuse from his brother over the years growing up, both vocal and physical. As evidenced by the scar on his forehead that was caused by glass from a beer bottle his brother threw at him. There is also the physical and vocal abuse he suffered from other nobles at the academy before Kim Suho showed up and set everyone straight. Yet not nearly as many people seem to be interested in delving to how being on the receiving end of that kind of abuse for years would affect him
In short,
Reader: “I want Whump”
Actual Story: “We have Whump at home”
love the use of tropes in this ask, you're speaking my language now
and yeah, you're right, i just,,, i find it confusing. ofc everyone is allowed to do whatever they want, canon is a suggestion and all of that but like,, i don't know. i find it weird.
it almost feels like they're trying to justify og lloyd's abuse of julian by accusing arcos of bad parenting. but 1) they do it by exaggerating some genuine mistakes he made, 2) ignoring the context surrounding the situation and 3) just fucking lying about it????
not to mention, that even if arcos had been a genuinely bad father (which he was not), that would still not justify what og lloyd did to julian! negligence doesn't justify abuse! even if the fronteras hadn't given lloyd enough positive attention (which there isn't any evidence to assume this), that would still not justify og lloyd lashing out and constantly hurting the people around him, including his younger brother.
if people want whump, just like you said, there's plenty in canon already. lloyd, julian, and javier all have their own trauma to work through, some of it caused by og lloyd himself. heck if you want that very specific 'negligent and distant father' flavor of whump, sheherazade is right there. bk moon does a great job at giving us plenty of character with a lot of baggage and trauma, there's enough to pick and choose without needing to resort to headcanons that go directly against canon lmao
but again, i'm not fond of the whole 'you're only allowed to like a character while acknowledging every bad thing they've ever done' thing, because it's bullshit and also i love me some war criminals here and there, so do whatever you want forever i'm no one to say you can't do something lol

miphlink and linpaya for the ask game!!
YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ok I answered miphlink so uh tldr I like them + they r neat
Paya/Link:
LINPAYA TIME BABEY! this is gonna be long again. I started liking linpaya when I began writing gboh, as it's really when I started exploring link and paya's characters more. amazing what fic will do to a guy. they're completely platonic in gboh and i don't plan on adding any romance between him and paya, but i enjoy them both platonically and romantically. even if i still lean towards platonic for reasons i've stated.
so there are. a few reasons why I like linpaya so much and I'll break it downnn.
firstly I just think their dynamic is really funny. it's freakboy meets losergirl. the idea of paya constantly being freaked out by link's strange antics but eventually going along with it is awesome to me. i think link helps paya gain more confidence!
because yeah paya has severe confidence issues lmao. there are multiple reasons for this but I'm going to use the most popular little snippet of her diary i've seen passed around-- i've rejected the notion that paya really "supports" link and zelda as a couple. I think that's a very shallow way of looking at paya's character, and we can go deeper than that. impa knows what happened when the calamity emerged; she's clearly talked with paya about it otherwise she wouldn't know who zelda was, or even consider her and link a couple to "support." as it stands she's only seen this glorified view of both of them, so of course she's going to think zelda is better than her, both as a partner and in general (impa seems to disagree with this.) this is...partially? why she's acting a particular way in my fic right now. being forced together with a girl she's always seen as better than her, with everyone basically acting like that and with zelda being her cheerful and bubbly self she's just. not really sure how to react to it all. (there's also the further context of her and link's relationship being bad, and seeing similarities between how zelda and link approach her and not wanting to experience that again with zelda.) paya does not like herself, she doesn't see herself as worthy, and so she people-pleases and stays quiet in order to remain unseen.
and, really, why would paya see herself as worthy? she was born into a servant race that's been historically oppressed by the very people they serve. there is evidence to show that they didn't come out of hiding until just over a century ago. i've always seen the sheikah in botw as a little lower than link on the royal-family-servant totem pole, a sort of scapegoat to his golden child. some sheikah become aware of who link is from the slate, and call him "master link," which, yes, that might be something done out of politeness, but why do all of them feel the need to be so polite to him? we only see one instance of link being called this elsewhere to my knowledge, and it's on the sign in front of his house. paya has no reason to think he'd give her a second glance, let alone want to be friends with her or fall in love. but he does.
of course this comes built in with some conflicts. link could easily just use paya and do whatever he wanted (which, by the way, is why I loathe people implying he had a one-night-stand with paya at the beginning of the dorian quest. not only is it just...weird, it would mean link is taking advantage of paya's lesser status and naïveté, which I don't think he would do. like seriously even if you don't ascribe to my headcanons about the sheikah paya has never even had a crush on a boy before this is stated in the artbook are you people insane???? do you really think link is a horny dickhead or are you just projecting AHEM scottfalco)
ANYWAY!!!! yeah ideally link doesn't do that, because it turns him into a predatory monster and goes against pretty much every characterization of him i've seen, even the ones I hate. rather, I think link being casually obnoxious shows paya that he doesn't think of her as lesser. his own courage would rub off on her, help her overcome her own anxieties as he treats her like both an equal and a person with needs and feelings beyond being a tool for the powers that be, and she does the same. it's never quite as complete of a departure from duty as sidlink, because they also reinforce that idea of duty with each other, which adds another layer of conflict and complexity to the whole thing. how they'll find a way to heal from the past is just more complicated, and I really like that.
my hot take is that paya% truthers get blocked you have disrespected my daughter

munday topics ! // accepting // anonymous asked . . . 23. another RPC you’re no longer part of (Luna) 🐰
Tumblr media Tumblr media
geeeee... is it embarrassing to admit that i've been in SO MANY RPCs? (i've been rping on tumblr for 10 years now!!) i wouldn't even know where to begin. i guess i'll talk about one that i've been thinking about! but... i don't know if it can even be CONSIDERED an RPC, because like... my muse was from something so "niche" - that there were NO other RPers for it. and like, i'm not even talking about "oh it's a dead fandom" - like i legit believed there was no other RPers for it EVER. at least, i couldn't find any evidence of it existing. and hell, it only got a few RPers 'cos i managed to get people into it. MOST ppl legit believed this muse was an OC before following LOL.
but i wanna say before revealing what i'm talking about is that i wrote him back in 2018-2019, and liiike oddly enough now it's gained traction. i dunno if it's 'cos smiling friends is so popular and ppl are checking out other [adult swim] content but yeah!! i now notice on twitter, exceptional fanart or posts tend to get 1k likes. and then i notice MORE fanart popping up on tumblr! i even see fanart of mah favorite ship with my former muse! and even my old posts are getting regular notes now! and it's like whaaa?! where were y'all back when i was in the fandom?! like i swear - there were SOME fans, but barely any. i couldn't find ANY fanart to reblog at all. it's frickin wild!
anyway, i wrote bill dickey (and later, who i headcanoned as his twin brother, aaron winkleman) from the eltingville club! which was a comic book making fun of toxic nerd culture in the 90s. many also know it as welcome to eltingville, as sadly, it has a pilot from the early 2000s for [adult swim] that never picked up!
USUALLY when i write muses from unpopular fandoms, i STRUGGLE to get interactions like y'all won't believe. usually it ends with me giving up because i just can't get any mutuals at all. but bill was a special case! ppl ended up LOVING bill despite not knowing about his source material, and i ended up getting a lotta great interactions! i guess because bill is such an entertaining character, it's easy to like him despite how horrible he is! lol! plus as i said, many ppl thought he was my oc at first. XD i did get like 10 people reading it!
because the fandom was gaining traction again... i had CONSIDERED going back to the blog (since i actually still have it up!) buuuut... i also know i am VERY bad at managing more than one (or two) rp blogs at most. so...
like jin & devil, i'd also often write bill & aaron shenanigan posts, they went about the same, too... except probs even louder.
Tumblr media
and in this case, there is no "good" one. both bill & aaron were horrible, horrible ppl lmao. (and yes, this is referring to the "area 51" raid if y'all remember that LMAO)
aah just talking about it makes me nostalgic. :') funny enough, this series also screwed over bill because i can't escape bad media that screws over my favorites DUNNO WHY SDFDSNJ. except in this case, it was the ending. hooo boy. i went on long rants about the ending like i would on this blog. like that may make me sound like a hater - but the ending was so BAD, they legit forget a character's name. they legit call one of the MAIN CHARACTERS by a different name. that's how bad & inconsistent it was. (tho it's also worth noting the ending happened after a 10+ hiatus, the creator was clearly done with it and didn't want to bring it back, but only did due to wanting to make a commentary on something that was happening at the time)
now i'm starting to get a lil nostalgic for these guys talkin' about 'em again. :')

Two posts in one day? More likely than you think! Anyways this is the latest entry to my Southpark blog where I talk about all the things that stuck out to me in each episode. This does include some headcanons I've made based on certain things that characters do!
Warnings: mentions of sex
Weight gain 4000: ep 2 season 1
● In this episode Cartman tells the others about how he hates 'rainbows'. when the others were confused he further explained that the rainbows he was talking about are things that crawl up your leg and enter your ass. I think bro was a victim😭
●Chef calls the children crackers, I think he calls other people this too but I just thought this was so funny man; I heart the nicknames chef gives fr.
●Eric's mum leaves her 8 year old home alone?? See i already knew she wasn't a very good mum but like yeah, im finally picking up on the evidence now that i'm properly watching the show.
●Mr Garrison plots murder. No further comment😘
●After hearing Bebe trying to read her script for the play I've come to the conclusion she must be dyslexic (just like me fr).
●"stan i can't do this alone" THIS EPS WHERE THAT QUOTE COMES FROM OMG. I didn't realise this quote happens so early on in the series tbh. Stan and Wendy are actually so cute though bro, i heart them sm.
●chef fr tries to rizz up cathy lee miller. Like mans was full on singing for her like goddamn dude you're really going in for it.
●Eric puts on like heeps on weight in such a short time, i'm actually wondering what was in that weight gain stuff cause holy shit😨
●I mentioned the weight gain earlier but how tf does it get so bad to the point you break the actual ground below you. Mrs Cartman needs to get hers and her kids shit together like holy shit dude.
●Chef actually managed to get into bed with Cathy Lee Miller bro. like full on goes multiple rounds with cathy LMAO
●cannot believe the episode ends with cartman going on tv for being so obese from the weight gain stuff. At Least he got on tv like he wanted I guess??😭

Hey Echo I was wondering if you had any Link headcannons you could talk about. I'm getting back into A Link Between Worlds and am feeling the childhood nostalgia
AUGGGHHHHH I HAVE SO MANY LINK HEADCANONS!! Not sure if you wanted a Link in particular, but I have a ton of headcanons for several different Link's, so I'll just do a bunch for each of them lmao.
totk/botw link:
totk link is so, so incredibly bad at telling people where he's coming and going, so much so that it's developed into a bit of a bad habit. It's one that started after he left the cave and began to gain back his past memories of pre-calamity and the life he had gone through as a royal soldier and guardian to Zelda. Basically, his old life was one strictly watched over and controlled, so nowadays, he kind of doesn't like telling anyone where he's coming and going as it grants him a sense of freedom he's never had before. Doesn't exactly help that he doesn't travel with any companions, so it's very normal for totk link to just disappear for several weeks on end.
Secretly, even though he'll be hard pressed to admit it, he likes not having any companions. He's always been a different sort of breed from any other soldier or fighter around him, even when he was young. He doesn't like traveling with anyone as it sort of feels like they're weighing him down and he can't move/fight as smoothly as he could if he was on his own.
totk link has a BIG independence thing going on, which is not exactly helped by the fact that he's just quick on his feet. It's also a whole other thing as he enjoys not having to perform the whole "perfect knight" to a constant audience. Out there in the wild, he's just him, not a guardian or knight, just him.
Secretly misses the champions, but will never mention it to Sidon, Yunobo, Riju, and Tulin, because he's afraid it'll hurt their feelings. Sometimes, in the heat of battle, he misses the weight of their powers in his chest and the reminder that they're still by his side.
Will never, never admit it, but he was secretly jealous and resentful of Zelda pre-calamity. He had long since been chosen as something special, something apart from his peers and even the already trained knights above him. He was able to go toe to toe with a grown man as a child, he drew the master sword when he was barely a pre-teen, and he trained to become Zelda's knight not long afterwards. In his mind, he always envied how Zelda was deaf to Hylia's call, because it might that she had more freedom than he would ever have. His fate was long since decided for him the moment he heard that strange sound come from the master sword.
Building off the previous bullet point: He envied her because she was able to pursue what truly made her happy, even if it was for a short time. He couldn't voice that the Goddesses' gaze upon him wasn't a comforting weight, that she still had time left. He was always the chosen hero, but she was able to be a princess and daughter before fate inevitably came for her.
Something a bit lighter! He's secretly a big old sucker for fashion and will wear truly non-appropriate battle clothing JUST because it's cute. Looking at the frostbite armor.
Has ate multiple rocks before, willingly. Has also ate straight grass. And narrowly stopped himself from getting a glob of lava. Has in fact ate a bit of gloom and it is one of the few times that he was bed-ridden for days. Proceeded to figure out how gloom-resistance food works.
oot/mm link:
Alright so, this is one of my biggest headcanons, and it has so little canon evidence for it. My sole piece of evidence is the oot manga and the fact that we have absolutely no idea who oot Link's mom was. I say this because this is my biggest oot Link headcanon: he is the younger brother of oot Zelda/Sheik.
Basically, the queen was separated shortly after giving birth to oot Link and fled to the kokori forest as it was one of the extremely few safe places to hide from the Hyrulean War. She was critically injured and knew that she would not survive long enough to flee back to the castle, so she entrusted oot Link to the deku tree before passing away.
Knows how to speak and read hylian, kokori, and gerudo! As when he was thrown out into the world after gaining the kokori emerald, he had to learn the hylian language extremely fast to know just what the hell was going on. Thankfully, he did indeed learn pretty fast and Navi helped a bunch in teaching him as well.
Secretly wishes that Sheik joined him as a companion during his adventure because he truly does like Sheik and feels much safer having someone by his side. He totally isn't extremely lonely and resents the constant distance that Sheik insists on keeping between them. He always keeps an ear out for any sightings of Sheik and chases after any promising leads.
Is actually kind of a sassy asshole... he just has a bit of an attitude, a bite to him. He can and will give you the most unimpressed, straight stare while his hands are on his hips. He has no patience for any of this, but he's still doing it, even though he's not all that happy about it.
Doesn't really start growing up maturity wise until after majoras mask. He's still mostly a kid, and carries a lot of innocence and naivety as a result.
Goes back to oot Zelda/Sheik after the events of majoras mask :]
twilight princess link:
Has issues !! Has issues!! Or aka has the horrible condition called "was forced to grow up very fast and become a big brother figure to the other children around him as he also shared the weight of the whole parenting thing."
It's hard for him to fight for himself or consider himself first as he's been caring for others since he can remember. Everything from the Ordon kids, to becoming a staple figure of the village, to handling whatever responsibilities thrown at him, have led him to constantly serving others.
He wont admit it, as he feels extremely guilty about it, but part of him did enjoy the distance his adventure gave him from most other people. It's his fight, his responsibility, and his blood on his hands, no one else's.
After the events of twilight princess, he feels extremely out of place in Ordon and the castle. He feels too out of place in both worlds and the shit he's gone through is impossible to explain to anyone, nonetheless have them understand. He misses Midna more than words can describe.
Is secretly so, so petty when he's not forced into the "responsible" role and is actually just spite molded into a humans body. He wants to be on equal footing with someone so bad and not be forced the image of a guardian and hero 24/7. He needs to pull at someone pigtails is what I'm trying to say.
He is fishing do not approach him he is fishing he is having a good time he is relaxing and chilling the fuck out. Approach him with caution because he needs so much concentration for getting this damn fish. There will be monsters on the bank and he will still be fishing.
Actually... doesn't get along with his Zelda all that well, especially after the events of twilight princess. Both of them have major issues with grief and responsibility, and those just happen to collide in the absolute worst way that puts their relationship on the rocks. Tries his best to avoid audiences with her like the PLAGUE.
Has a septum piercing. Because I said so.
Post twilight princess, he actually has a ton of scars modeled off the twili markings thanks to his repeated transformations between human and beast. He hides the vast majority of them, but the one on his forehead is unavoidable and he dodges most questions about it.
hyrule warriors link:
GOD !!! GOODDDD !!! GOD. Okay so, I just gotta warn you now that I have so many headcanons for hw link that aren't really supported by the game. I have these headcanons because they make me happy and I like imagining him in situations.
OKAY STARTING OFF. hw link can read and speak fluent gerudo as he trained with the gerudo for several years as a sort of peace offering from the hyrulean royal family. Bridging off from that, he's one of the very, very few men allowed within gerudo walls as he proved his loyalty and willingness to fight and protect alongside the gerudo.
If he's around any gerudo for long enough, he'll start to adopt a long buried gerudo accent and it endlessly trips everyone up when it happens. It's because of this connection to the gerudo, that he also works as the hyrule ambassador to the gerudo as well as the hero of hyrule during the war.
Desperately wants a horse, wants a horse so fucking badly, but he never goes out of his way to getting one as he knows he'll get painfully attached. That and being in the middle of the war... he knows he'll just be setting himself for heartbreak, so he never gets his own horse despite the fact it would be extremely easy. Instead, he happily helps care for Zelda's horse and it's one of the very few times that you can see him smiling during the war.
Has severe survivors guilt :( so much so that he's basically mute around most people, with the exception of Zelda, Impa, and Lana. He can't make himself work up the courage to talk casually with his fellow soldiers as most either idolize him to an unhealthy degree, resent and despise him, or outright avoid him because of Cia's obsession with him. He doesn't blame the avoidance, of course, and he even understands the hatred directed towards him, which is why he never brings it up to Zelda.
He is not a flirt please believe me when I say that he is not a flirt in any sort of way and if anything flirting TERRIFIES him. He may be drop dead gorgeous, but he is not a flirt. Peace and love.
Has an extremely loose idea of his own character because he was discovered to be the hero and was immediately thrown before the eyes of Hyrule. He never had a point where he chose to take up the sword and the role of the hero, it was chosen for him before a straight up WAR started. That lack of a choice puts him apart from most other Link's because he never accepted nor took up the responsibility. The full weight of Hyrule was placed upon his shoulders without any warning and he struggles immensely in keeping a steady hand.
Blocks out the memories of having to kill traitorous soldiers. He knows he had to kill them. He knows he had to kill them because it was either him or them. He had to do it. It doesn't make the guilt sit any lighter in his stomach.
Incredibly rocky relationship with his Zelda, but as the war goes on it gets slowly better.
Truly fears Cia. 100% fears her. No amount of courage that the triforce gives him will ever remove the near instinctual terror he feels at the sight of her.
Okay a slightly nicer headcanon to sort of combat the meanness of all the rest of my previous headcanons- he blushes super easily and actually is sort of an awkward, shy guy. Also when he's allowed to feel anything but existential terror, he's actually a very mischievous and just wants to have a good time man.
skyward sword link:
I know this bitch is one of the most protective assholes on the planet. I know that there is malice in his heart and he is not above biting your hand off if you wrong him. All the while he will have the most innocent look stapled on his face.
Is actually the most bitchy of all the Link's and I will not move from this hill. His "mean" responses in game are the funniest things known to man and it endlessly amuses me seeing just how damn snappy he can be. He's a sweetheart and he's a bitch, he's multi-faceted.
Loves music!! Actually is the most musically talented of all the Link's and has a real sense of rhythm and melody! He also has a lovely singing voice that he doesn't show off a whole bunch, but it truly is a treat to hear him sing when it does happen.
Secretly looovvveeessss drama and will happily kick back and watch it unfold because he has no skin in said conflict whatsoever. If he's feeling particularly spiteful or if said person annoyed him in some way, he'll even instigate the conflict even further until they're in a figurative hole. He will hold no guilt. He is smiling and enjoying the show.
The lone night owl who is surrounded by early birds... he is in such pain cause he wants to be awake at night, but literally no one else wants to be.
A bit of an adrenaline junky... him and totk link have that in common lmao.
Uses his innocent face to his advantage and knows jussstttttt how to widdle out of trouble :) he's had to talk his way out of countless tardy excuses and having to deal with Groose that he's actually gotten pretty good at talking. If you let him talk for long enough, you'll find yourself being charmed and agreeing to something that you really, really shouldn't do.
Has so little tolerance for bullshit and he can and will draw a sword on someone if they purposely mess with him. See: Ghirahim.
Shows his love through playful bullying and the more casual and playful he is around you, the more he likes you! Sometimes, this is not a good thing because he will make it his mission to bother you.
After the events of skyward sword, he gets a bit of a tendency to be overprotective and is easier to worry thanks to the fact that he blamed himself for not saving Zelda quicker. Afterwards, he's a much lighter sleeper and doesn't sleep as well as there's a part of his brain prepared for something to go wrong.
Even if he looks calm and collected on the outside, trust that he is screaming his head off inside his brain. He's just gotten practice at controlling his reactions, but it still slips at times.
Super emotive! He actually moves his body a ton when he talks and he just emotes easily and frequently without even thinking about it. Zelda has made it a bit of a skill of dodging him if he gets super into a rant or topic. She loves him but he can and WILL run right into her and knock them both over.
And one general headcanon: They all want a challenging fight so bad that it makes them look stupid.
I'm sure I have more, but I spent a worrying amount of time on this so!! I hope you enjoy them!! :D and I hope you enjoy link between worlds!

Debbie's coming-out storyline is so cute and wholesome. I mean, besides Alex being emotionally detached, Debbie moves past that and takes it well all things considered.
I did have a laugh last night about Ian being insistent that Debbie is not a lesbian. I had a thought, like what if it was him being protective of his spot as the gay sibling?
"No Debbie, I'm the gay Gallagher. I already have to share being the red-headed one."
Oh Ian, just wait until you realize Debbie is also mentally ill. (This is more a personal headcanon. But I think Debbie does have a disorder. It's just not as apparent as Ian's so it flies under the radar)
ok anon whoever you are ily this made me so fucking excited because i have so much to say about this LMAO
idk if i’m taking this too seriously, but ian’s reaction pissed me the fuck off. and what you said about him being protective of his spot was fucking hilarious because that is probable😭😭
i hated how debbie went without support after coming out, and i hate how the fandom sides with ian. ian’s my favorite character but he was 100% in the wrong. yeah, he was doing bad mentally. yeah, debbie has had a lot of phases in the past. but imagine seeking support from your favorite sibling who you figured would understand this, but he simply responds with “no you’re not”. like that’s so shitty don’t even.
and debbie has never had support- ever! she grew up with no support system, and during her pregnancy she had no support except for fucking frank. plus (almost) no support with the house.
and debbie’s whole coming out story is wholesome and beautiful, anon. maybe i’m just going insane and taking everything too seriously because i’m a lesbian, but it was seriously wonderful and one of my favorite things that the writers decided to do in season 9 (because they did a lot of stupid shit that season).
i know that debbie’s lesbianism wasn’t intended from the start, and that it was supposed to be for fiona, but lesbianism really fits debbie’s character and i’m so tired of hearing people call debbie “bi” or “straight going through a phase”. no, she’s a lesbian.
from her relationship with holly, ellie, mandy, really everybody, she was so clearly a lesbian. every piece of advice she recieved it was clear that she wasn’t asking about “how to tell if you like a guy” or “how to have sex with a guy” it was more “why don’t i like guys yet” “teach me how to like guys”
she never liked matty, she liked him being older. she never liked derek, she liked the possibility of being a mother. she never liked neil, she just wanted a house.
or how she knew about how lesbian sex worked in season 1?? like that’s so out of pocket for an ten/eleven year old girl to be saying (and something that i, a lesbian, would’ve said at that age😭), or getting bullied and being called a “lesbo” as a kid for staring at the pretty girls??
sorry i’m getting off topic
i also totally believe debbie has some sort of mental illness. specifically a personality disorder or something like that.
many people believe she has bpd (borderline personality disorder), and i don’t have it so i’m not one to talk, but it does fit her. idk.
also some people headcanon her as autistic and the evidence i’ve seen for that checks out.
i dunno man she’s got something and i wish we got to learn more about debbie regarding her mentality.

hello again, i'm the anon from the waifu/blorbo thing just checking in. it was quite surprising to see the ask i made when i was feeling sorta petty would spiral in all that lol
to answer why i stay anon, its because I'm just a "filthy lurker" tbh. im not really sociable or talented enough that i feel like interecting directly in the fandom, and i'd rather avoid the headaches that come from exposing myself to its more annoying parts lol. i understand its different for artists tho, you guys do us a great service
but Holy Shit your situation was quite bonkers. it is kind of funny that i might have helped you out with this apparently lmao. all it took was the right ask at the right time, crazy how that works
best of luck to you and thank you for being based lol. it isn't easy with such persistent haters but i hope you keep it up
Thank YOU for being based, the moment I read what you said I knew EXACTLY what you were talking about! And yes, it is a reliably stable way to piss that person off enough to 'act' by poking the holy dogma of "Maria is a masculine lesbian and everyone with a different interpretation is a bigot" with a stick in any way shape or form. Imagine being easily caught just because you can't stand bisexuals or women that can combine badassery and tenderness?
I'll have you know though, that fanart or fanfics are NOT a "rent" you have to pay to be considered a "valid" part of the fandom! You say you don't feel like you belong here... but you do, as long as you love BB and want to interact with other fans and support them. I am not the most fantastic artist either; my anatomy is still a long way to go and I finish my works very slowly, but it is my passion why I am here! :)
As for the annoying parts of the fandom,...
Tumblr media
Honestly, you don't need to worry, at least not on Tumblr. Redditbros tend to stay away in their own circles and all you have to do is to not go on Reddit for sharing things like headcanons, drawings, ships etc. As for the bullies (oh, pardon, the completely civil people that are not encouraging harassment but simply spread "awareness" in order to excile people they dislike from the safe wholesome fandom uwu); they will typically do you a favour if they drop your name as "yiiiikes this person is nasty for [reason] block them girlies!", since this way the fake ones will self-isolate from you as a result and YOU won't see THEIR bad takes! And toxic Maria fans usually function by one 'main' guy vs their simps that got easily influenced. Before the current guy (you know who by now) it was someone else spreading bad takes about "misogynist" Gehrman and "violated masculinity" of Maria, boasting about how they ignore all lore and (mis)translation evidence against their One True interpretation. That person matured though, and the simps they influenced dissolved and became nuanced. The current guy is chronically unable to mature, learn and admit mistakes; but at the same time, popular accounts popularised a "compromise" take that portrays Gehrman as missing the mark but having good intentions that get way more traction and toxicity is overshadowed by them 🤔
What I am saying is, you can avoid annoying parts reliably easily! You probably are seeing like same two people starting controversy every time from your "corner"... and it is BECAUSE there are not that many. They are just loud. If you are in the room with 20 people, 19 of which are adults minding their own business and 1 is a screaming baby, who will you pay more attention to? I'd love to see you make an account, tbh, but if you really don't want to.. Well, still feel free to send me asks, gripes or headcanons or questions or whatnot!

Hc + Sonic
send hc + a word of your choosing and i'll write a headcanons about it!
this is one of those sorta deals where i could write an entire meta post on just one word lmao, sonic as a name, as a concept, as a person, is a VERY complicated subject for cynic.
its his name. its always been his name, and its part of his identity as the fastest thing alive, and for the longest time, 'sonic' meant something entirely different compared to what it means to most other people. where he's from, sonic means trouble. trouble for who? anyone. everyone. it doesn't matter, anyone was fair game for his troublemaking and hell raising. and to him, sonic meant a bad thing. he's always had this subconscious lock on his mind that he is inherently bad, due to not just his unfortunate upbringing, but repeated instances where he either fucks up terribly when he does try to do the right thing, or tragic instances that do happen to sonic in canon continue to shape him. but the thing is, cynic found a way to take pride in that. though it was a means to cope with his suffering, embracing the idea of being 'bad' as part of his identity and going actually fuck it, fuck you, hell yeah i'm bad and thats fuckin' GREAT i'll be the badest dude out there then!!! allowed him to bounce back and take back that confidence that every sonic is meant to have. (basically, reclaiming a painful notion that deeply wounded him and making it something that could empower him instead)
so imagine the live slug reaction he had when he evidently found out that by prime standards? 'sonic' is actually a GOOD thing in most dimensions, and that the status quo isn't 'fucked up evil hedgehog who ruins everyone's day and is loathed by all' but actually 'noble protag who helps people and is adored and respected by everyone around him and has friends'
basically: in his mind? that all invalidates everything he's done to just be okay with the shit he's been through/caused. he can't stand the idea that sonic could be a good person. not a perfect person, or a morally pure person,, but just... good at heart? he doesn't understand it. it fucks with him. because that means he could be like that too. and that thought right there causes him to spiral bad.
but instead of self reflecting, taking it as a sign to work through his problems, he doubles down. he's too deeply entrenched in that 'i'm bad i'm bad i'm bad it was my fault!' mindset.
and that's why whenever he interacts with other sonics - especially ones that are more aligned with canon standard, he flips the fuck out on them LMAO. at best, he will bully them, at worst, he will go out of his way to straight up ruin their lives and prove that they're just as bad as he is.
this hedgehog's got issues when it comes to the word sonic.
