I'm gonna cry. I'm gonna cry. I love you. I don't know you and I love you.

Okay, so I was considering throwing some more outline stuff in, but I think I might have the beginning of this. I'll assume Bobby and Marcie live in a different apartment, and the kids aren't born yet, but I think Marcie could be pregnant with Jr? Does anyone actually know how old that kid was when he died? Because Brook was born in 2005, and this part takes place in 2002.

He’s sitting in the truck and staring at the apartment building, which is bigger than he'd expected. It looks like it’s stretching up to the sky. His dad is in there. His real dad.

With shaking hands, Tommy unbuckles his seatbelt and gets out, pulling the scrap of paper from his pocket and smoothing it out. He mouths the apartment number to himself three times before tucking it away again. He has to walk up some stairs and go through a few hallways, but soon enough he’s standing at the door to the right apartment.

When he raises his hand to knock, it’s trembling, and he lowers it before stepping back.

“This is stupid,” he whispers, backing away.

Why is he here? Why would anyone care if he was actually their kid or not? His dad—the one who’d raised him—had made it clear during their argument that he sure as hell didn’t. Tommy knows that he’s a disappointment to him for a lot of reasons, and he’s crazy to think he wouldn’t be a disappointment to this dad, too.

Driving from California to Minnesota took him two and a half days, but he can turn around. He can write this off as a post-graduation road trip, even if he didn’t see a fucking thing other than the inside of his truck, a couple gas stations, and any place he could get cheap food.

Tommy turns to leave, and a man is standing in the hallway staring at him.

“Huh,” the man says, shifting his grocery bag to his other hand. “You look like her dad.”

He swallows and nods. “I get that a lot. You know who I am?”

“Yeah,” he says, smiling. “I just found out. What about you?”

“Yeah.” He feels his nose and eyes burn, and there’s a big lump of glass in his throat that he can’t really swallow around. “You’re my real dad.”

He hates that his eyes blur, because he’s not supposed to cry. He’s eighteen, and he’s a man. Men don’t cry.

There’s a rustling sound and then Tommy’s being hugged. No one’s hugged him since his mom died, and he feels something inside him loosen as more tears come.

“Let’s get you some food, and we’ll talk. How’s that sound?”

Tommy sniffles and nods, and he reaches up to wipe his tears as the man scoops up his groceries.

And that’s how he meets Bobby Nash.

A Mix-Up || Egon Spengler x reader

Author's Note: This is actually a little old (early 2022). I'm currently writing for a different piece of media BUT I thought "hey, why not post this now because...why not!" I've always been kinda shy to post my writing on the internet in general but to hell with it tbh ! Cringe culture must die and I love my blorbos past, present, and future too much lol

It was a regular, snowy day in downtown New York. Ray was in the downstairs of the firehouse, fixing whatever new problem the Ecto-1 had come up with. Janine was reading some magazine with smart shopping tips while Louis was on the phone discussing taxes, the latter having piles of paperwork on his desk. Business during the holiday season usually slowed down, and that meant getting to spend more quality time with the guys. Peter and Winston were engaging in a friendly but competitive game of pool, and Egon was nowhere in sight. He mentioned something about “bringing a surprise” to the station, baffling everyone since Egon certainly wasn’t the surprise type. You sat on the couch, head propped up by your hand, watching as Peter lined up his shot.

"I never understood this game," you said with a yawn.

Winston had a small laugh and shook his head. "It's alright, kid, neither does Pete."

"Hey!" The other man said as he thrust his cue stick, completely butchering the shot in the process. "I just don't play this game often enough, alright, Z? I got no practice,"

You and Winston share a laugh at the expense of your colleague, Peter placed his hand on his chest in feigned offense. Winston took his shot, clearly doing a better job than Peter as the other man had scowled as the ball went into the hole. As the two continue playing, the sound of familiar footsteps enters the second floor. Turning your head, you smile brightly as you finally see your boyfriend Egon. His back was turned, preoccupied with refilling the snack cabinet in the kitchen. As he rummaged through the seven eleven bag, you took the chance of slowly sneaking up behind him to give a surprise hug. The two men playing pool had paused their game to watch you, amused from the sight of seeing you crouch up behind their friend.

“Gotcha!” You yelled as you wrapped your arms around Egon’s torso and chest, placing your chin on his shoulder. Unexpectedly, he was completely frozen, unlike how he would usually turn around to return the hug. Your expression quickly morphed into one of confusion as the seconds passed and he stayed completely still.

“Anyway, Elon, I want you to meet-” You whip your head to the left to see Egon standing next to Ray, both the men having mildly concerned looks on their faces.

“...(Y/N)?” The man you were hugging spoke, his voice only slightly different from Egon’s but you could tell it wasn’t your boyfriend. Hastily taking your arms off him, you spew out apology after apology, face fully red.

“I’m so sorry! God I- I should’ve known the second you didn’t hug me back I-”

Elon waved his hand with a laugh, the other guys in the room except Egon cracking up as well. “No matter, no matter, at least I know my little brother is well loved,” Elon took the liberty of pulling you in for a hug this time, and just like Egon he was surprisingly good at giving them.

Egon’s cheeks turn a light pink color from his brother’s statement as he pulls you in for a hug and forehead kiss. Elon had headed over to the billiard table to greet the two men who ended their pool game. The mood in the room turned joyous as all the guys had not seen Elon in a while, making this occasion a real treat.

“Sorry, Eggs, he really does look a lot like you,” you whispered. He smiles before putting his lips on yours, causing your face to go red once again. Getting kissed by Egon certainly did not get old no matter how many times it happens.

“It’s alright, (Y/N), I missed you too.”

Ray called out, “Hey, lovebirds! Get over here before we finish all the pizza.”

You pull away from Egon and adjust his tie, taking his hand and walking over to the others to get a fresh slice of pizza.

I like Batman. I like Batman as a character. I like Bruce Wayne. But it is very unserious when people act like Jason Todd, or maybe Damian, the robins as a whole, or any one writer, or any specific story arc, is singlehandedly corrupting Bruce’s character into an severe and inflexible colleague and distant, emotionally-unavailable father. Because even if he hadn't consistently been a questionable, loving yet unhealthy AT BEST father figure in the majority of his appearances since the early 80s (and I do mean to Dick, to Cass (actually shaping her into his image in Batgirl 2000 at the cost of her social development and autonomy ISNT good,) a BAD mentor to Steph, not even getting into Helena, like truly it’s not all about Jason?) The first well-written book that comes to mind where his morality is at its worst imo? That’s Wonder Woman: Hiketeia. No robins, no batfamily, just Bruce putting aside Wonder Woman’s input and the context of the situation and chasing down a girl who killed the men responsible for trafficking, assaulting, and killing her baby sister, to the point where it ends with her jumping off a cliff.

And the thing is I still like reading him in Hiketeia, because he fills the role he needs to fill in that story well, his actions align with his wordview even if it’s taken to the extreme in an uncharitable way, and he keeps my attention. I just think it’s goofy how some of us on here look at the guy who’s big character trait is being a hard-to-know, stubborn, and condescending control freak who puts other people's emotions on the wayside in favor of his mission prolifically, and go “all he did was LOVE TOO MUCH! His mean kids and associates and teammates are PUNISHING HIM for LOVING with his BIG BIG HEART and it’s tainting the narrative!” And you could say “well Hiketeia doesn't count, Greg Rucka is just a hater!” (though I certainly wouldn’t.) But when the issue is Damian entertaining the idea of leaving the family business, and before that it’s Red Hood stepping on toes, and then, wait, before that it’s Green Arrow and Wonder Woman, and then Huntress, and then oh wait we can’t think about the weird patch with Nightwing where their relationship was super rocky, and then Jason but before he died, and of course the Green Lanterns are basically treated like punching bags for him to do something awesome then- Like maybe if it’s a consistent pattern spanning what, 20, 30 years now? The issue isn’t Damian or Red Hood alone, or PKJ or Greg Rucka or Judd Winick or Marv Wolfman + George Perez or even Jim Starlin being a hater, but your blorbo just having extremely well-documented character flaws?

Art/Fun/Holiday: 12th Anniversary

Happy Birthday, Sarah & Duck!

While it may not be as flashy as an anniversary art piece (though I may make a late one depending on how crunched I feel), I will just ramble and talk about things I like about the show to celebrate this milestone. I'll talk about what got me into the show, aspects I like, and some more personal thoughts on the show and maintaining this blog.

Intro

I was introduced to Sarah & Duck by one of my online friends back in the middle of 2022. We watched the first season together (though I only joined in halfway through), and then I found my own way to watch the rest of the show since I felt hooked. Since then, it's become my main special interest and is perhaps as strong as it had been back then. Last year, I rewatched and introduced the series to my closer group of friends, who I'd consider my "best" friends. They loved it. One of them even considered Sarah his "blorbo in law" (a character he cares about because someone else does) before having her graduate to a full blorbo (a character he likes). I'm very glad to be able to speak to fans of the show and talk about it.

Art and Vibes

There's something about the show's simplistic and scribbly artstyle that resonates with me. It's somewhat ethereal, and coupled with the mostly low energy happenings and accompanying soft, gentle music, the show builds up a very welcoming atmosphere perfect for the intended demographic of young kids. The style is kind of inspiring to me, and I often try to think of how exactly to emulate or adapt the watercolor-esque nature of backgrounds and scenery. Some of the scenes (like the one above) are pure spectacular and honestly surprised me with how nice looking they were on my first watch.

It's a very nice show for me to zen out to. The first watch-through, I was surprised with some episodes in the first series that they were already over. Those 6.5 minutes go by fast sometimes! In contrast, most of the shows I've watched prior were 20-45 minutes. It's a testament to the show staff that they can hold the attention of me, an adult, for that long. The show as a whole feels somewhat like a dream. An imaginary romp through a kid's life in the U.K. There have been some episodes where I could see myself doing the same pretend games and things that Sarah does if I were a kid. Watching the show felt like peering back into my childhood with nostalgic, rose-tinted glasses.

Characters

Sarah & Duck has quite the colorful cast, both metaphorically and literally. I honestly like how some characters just drop in or drop out of the episode's story sometimes, like Plate Girl showing up in Pond Princess. It gives the world a bit more genuineness; Sometimes as a kid, I'd only give a little bit of time for another friend before moving on with my own thing while playing.

While I do like the main trio of characters (Sarah, Duck, Narrator) the most, it's a tossup between Scarf Lady and Plate Girl for favorite side character. Scarf Lady is so chaotic and Bag balancing her out in exasperation is great, but I love how much of a gremlin Plate Girl can be, like in Garden Gaming.

While it does sort of bug the "character interaction" part of my brain, it's interesting that nothing about the characters or world is outright explained. Why does Plate Girl like plates? Why does Scooter Boy like scooters? Why is Scarf Lady so scatterbrained? Why are kids and bird paired up so often? Why are the Ribbon Sisters so adverse to talking? It provides more to the previously mentioned genuineness to the world. Unless directly asked, people don't really delve into why they are like they are. I think that adds a lot to the notion of personal interpretations.

I love AUs and reinterpretations of characters in shows I like just because I like to see how characters react in situations outside of their universes. Plus little headcanons here and there. As a small examples, I hc that Plate Girl is a collector of plates. I like little things like that, giving a little personal touch to certain aspects of the show. I've written a few fanfics as well just because I would A. Like to see how characters would react to other scenarios, and B. Because I like seeing the characters get up to more wacky shenanigans. You might even see my boy and his bird OC pair make an appearance on this blog, in addition to the humanizations and some other fan-episodes.

I am not okay about this series if you couldn't tell.

Emotions

Obviously, it's a kids show, and I don't intend to be all "this show is peak cinema" about it. It is good, I just don't want to seem delusional. Well, more delusional than usual...

But, honestly the show can be really heartfelt and touching at times. I felt bits of sadness and sympathy for Sarah in Duck Flies, as a person that gets very attached to characters/objects very easily, and Ribbon Alvida, made me cry real, actual tears. The message of "Sometimes you don't get to say goodbye to someone" is incredibly sobering and honestly a really good lesson to teach kids. I felt Sarah's pain very vividly, again, as someone that forms attachments easily.

The more upbeat emotional episodes are great as well. I felt a sense of coziness and warmth during Petal Light Picking, Christmas atmosphere is very calming to me.

Of course, I do realize the folly of only watching kids shows. Again, I don't want to seem like the person who exclusively watches kids shows and touts them as better than "real" shows. Doctor Who balances it out a bit. Fantastic series, loved Nine, Ten, and Eleven. Also tune in for a future post about Doctor Who, wink wink!

Personal Stuff and Why I Made its-a-ducky-mess

As stated before, Sarah & Duck was and is my special interest. And with my special interests, I obsessively indulge in them in any way that I can, looking over every stone and in every nook and cranny for unique things. That's part of the reason why I catalogued the animation errors and odd tidbits, because I think it's cool to see those things. I also like looking into the inner workings of things, like behind the scenes videos. I find those VERY fascinating to me, and oftentimes I use design philosophies and such to inspire myself.

My "mission statement" with my fixations I suppose is to spread the word and get people to know about them. I hope my passion for what I like is infectious and gets people to see the shows in a similar way that I do. I started the blog just to tell people about the show, and give facts or little tidbits to fans of the show who may not know the things I do. Oftentimes, I feel like I can't properly express or talk about my interests to my friends because they don't have the same level of "care" that I do. I know people will never like the same things you do at the level you do, but it's still something, and I'm trying to work on that.

My blog is also partly fueled by not letting the series "die" or "fade away". A little dramatic, yeah, but look at Sarah & Duck. It's a twelve year old cartoon for kids, and it's kind of obscure in the grand scheme of things. But I have such love for it that I wish it could continue on. And in a way, that's all we can do really. I would love more official Sarah & Duck content, but I am happy with what we got. If the show kept going, there's the chance that seasonal rot could've happened, and that idea sort of scares me. Anyway, the show's "time" is over, and we, the fans, are left to our own devices. That's not to say Sarah & Duck is forgotten, mind you. The social media posts and such, and even the recent event that put the show in theaters shows that the series still has life in it. And I'm okay with that.

Seeing new fanart, stories, other fans posting about the show, and otherwise engaging with it fills me with joy, honestly. To see the show have a fanbase twelve years later is heartwarming. All of your likes, reblogs, comments, questions, those are powerful inspirations to keep making content for the blog. Just recently with the Valentines post, seeing a number of accounts with Sarah in their profile pictures made me smile ear to ear. That's a lot of what I want. To provide for the fans, to make connections with them, to give a sense of togetherness within this little community, dare I say, fandom.

I genuinely don't intend to come across as a "savior" providing content in a drought, or acting high and mighty to seem more important than I am. I just like this little niche show and wish to provide quality content for its fanbase. The show means a lot to me and I wish to display that to anyone that wants.

I love Apollo Justice SO much and he’s definitely one of my favorite characters of all time, but he has THE most chaotic backstory and none of it makes any sense at all and it drives me insane. I’ve spent way too much time trying to work my way through all the plot holes.

Why were his parents in Khura’in performing a private show for the queen? Did they know her personally? When and how did Apollo acquire his mom’s bracelet if he was literally an infant when they were separated? When Dhurke sent him to live in Japanafornia, who did he live with during that time? Who was raising him? Did he go to boarding school, and was that same boarding school where he met Clay? Why do none of the games address where he was at, what he was doing and who he was staying with from the time he left the Sahdmadhi family up until he became an adult and a lawyer, which would’ve been the largest chunk of his lifespan (from like age 10 to 23?!) We only know that he attended school and befriended Clay, they liked to hang out at the space museum, and he idolized Phoenix Wright and to an extent his foster father which most likely was his driving force behind becoming a defense attorney, if I remember correctly.

What was law school like for him? When, how and why did he meet Kristoph Gavin and begin working for him? What kind of a relationship did they have prior to the events of AA4? Did Phoenix set up that mentorship himself knowing he’d be able to use Apollo’s special abilities to his advantage, or did he not start digging into Apollo’s past until after he met him through Kristoph? Was this addressed and I just forgot? How did he not know about Klavier until he met him, or did he just know that his boss had a brother and nothing beyond that? Did he have any contact with Dhurke and Nahyuta at all after he left Khura’in and prior to everything that happened in SOJ?

This poor kid has been through hell and back like, 3 times, which is more times than the average person despite the initial narrative seeming to be that he was Just Some Guy— until the writers decided he was going to become the series’ proverbial punching bag and give him a triple whammy of tragic backstories? His life is literally so sad? Is anyone ever going to tell this sad sucka that his favorite musician is his mom and that his “found family” sister is his REAL sister? I hope he punches Nick in the nuts when he finally tells them?!?

El Pollo Loco is a precious egg of a person, and the world has done him so dirty, and the only solace we have is knowing that he, Athena and his sister are besties and his mentor kind of adopted them as a package deal? But now he’s halfway across the world from them trying to rebuild an entire country’s judicial system at the tender age of 24? SOMEONE SAVE HIM PLEASE!!!

I ❤️ Klapollo and I like to think they end up together and probably get married (would never happen in canon) but in the few crumbs of interactions they have in the games after AA4 they treat each other like they’re playful exes or something?!?

If they do another game for the mainline series, I’m torn between wanting the answers to some of these mysteries revealed, and wanting the writers to just stop talking about his backstory altogether because this short king needs a fucking BREAK.

Thanks for tuning in for my rant about Appletini Juicebox. I want to just hug him and tell him things are gonna get better. Making blorbos suffer is only fun when it’s in my imagination. The real thing hurts a little bit.

I'm sorry???? I didn't mean to be insulting to genderfluidity I really didn't get it like at all, I kinda still don't, I don't see Sebastian as anything motherly I guess, but again sorry!! :/

It's okay, overall, I shouldn't be surprised at the Sebastian takes or views, and any headcanons or attempts to get serious are not taken like, fully seriously with him. He's like, the fandom punching bag or something like that?? I don't know, I just stay in my corner enjoying the positives of his overall character design and the free real estate that is blatantly there in making up stuff that could be possible for him.

And so much of the fandom HAS accepted he is "dadbastian", or some form of parental figure, even if not the best for obvious reasons, so I just get annoyed once in a while too that, through that, as well as Seb being a demon not conforming to the whole "gender labels" thing humanity created, that Seb can be easily accepted as a mom too!

And again, that doesn't mean Seb would be the best mom or anything, no one is saying THAT. But it's still a fun thing to think of, the switch up from dad things to mom things Sebastian is known for, in my eyes. This is the shit *I* personally enjoy in kuro.

And again like in my tags I love going on about Sebastian being a thot, a slut, a whore, and indeed even a milf too, but...

Sometimes, just, tldr, it's fun thinking of Seb seriously as a mom to the kids.

And I can't make others see my takes and I'm not gonna try ever forcing things, I just wanna have my corner to gush about my own personal blorbo, Sebastian Michaelis.

ENNU EPILOGUE RECAP!!

OKay! So, our campaign ended! Yesterday was the 81 session, and last one of it- Our DM did a wonderful job at running it. We basically got to ask them for the scenes we'd like to see, and the session was built around that. It's been three years, so it was wild to see it come to an end! Here's a recap tho (a lil bit more focused on my blorbos since they're the ones you know)

The epilogue happened two years after the campaign's end, with a couple of flashbacks going some time back

First scene was welcoming Blasma (one of the party members), who had been on a trip all this time to heal her soul at her grandpa's dubious laboratory. She's pretty okay currently- if we ignore soul healing is something theoretically impossible. Probably many questionable things happened there. Osten traveled with her to make sure she was doing okay

Next scene was her welcoming party. A bunch of shenanigans happened. Yxala tried so play cool aunt, got her a motorbike. They ended in somewhat odd terms and my girl was trying so bad to get her trust again

Pulsar and Tephra- each polycule's kids- appeared to be overall terribly adorable. Yxala talked a lot about her Sweet Potato. Tephra is Yxala and Relé's biological kiddo (as evidenced by the branched horns), 6 months old, and just one of these big hefty babies who is starting to munch on everything (here's a token of baby her, and what she's like grown up!)

we also got to see the closure of Mythannae, Yden and Jorven's polycule! Myth and Yden recovered their enchanted clothing business. They specialize in magical clothing adapted to specific needs- Like fireproof clothing for fire genasi, helmets with bag-of-holding like pockets so you can put them on with horns, that stuff. Jorven has now been working on music again. (For context, Myth was my previous character before I switched for Yxala!)

Blasma's player also had an epilogue for his previous character- she's a tired old lady, who is now joining another tired old lady to get in politics. An improvement, given they were cops before that

Centi got to resurrect the weird celestial wife of an old teacher of hers- Who had been snatched up by Sol Ascensus and transformed into a monster. I can't wait to show Niereva to y'all tho, she's a bit of a weird aminal (a mantis/naga-like aasimar)

She may have done a fucked up pact with a psychopomp tho-

We had Yxala's, Relent's and Uri's wedding, we knew that was coming! It took Urion a long while to recover from after the Deep Lab, and they still struggle a lot with that they did as The Onirist

We had a scene of Urion's recovery. Initially they didn't even want to come to terms with being Urion- They were The Onirist. Relé had a hard time forgiving them too, bc they DID hurt Relent a lot. Yxala was a bit more fine about it, even after having her heart carved out by them.

they're all going to therapy lol

There's actually a cult to The Onirist/Ataraxia now though! Some people loved the idea of a godly machine that could solve everyone's hurts and ailments, and they're asking for them to come back and fix the world. maybe the mind control microchips were fine, y'know

We had the ceremony- Money and seeds are given to the partners as a sign of prosperity and life. They're gonna have a great garden.

The polycule drank (alcohol-free) wine imbued with each other's blood too bc ceremonies there go hard- (this one is seen as a bit more archaic)

And a major exchange between marrying partners is expected. They exchanged basses- They had them custom made many decades ago, with Urion's being based on clouds (after Relé), Relé's being based on fire (after Yxala), and Yxala's being based on bismuth crystals (after Uri's). Now Uri has the fiery bass, Relé has the bismuth one, and Yxala has the cloudy bass

Urion was the bassist for Demonwire, a group they were a part of with some other anarchist friends. This bass has a very long history and it's very significative. Yxala was a bit shocked.

After that, the wedding after-party took place. Blasma set a date with Osten- They didn't actually get romantically involved up until now (and it's probably gonna be very slow still gfhudhdgf)

I forgot to mention this but Urion and Relent are now involved with an organization to help the people who were affected by the Deep Lab and The Onirist's actions. Uri had a very awkward interview about it.

We had few other closure scenes here and there. Finding out two other npcs are marrying, the fact the weird undead guy somehow has a new kid, that stuff- and then we went onto the final one

Which was a concert by Demonwire. Urion played with them for the first time in 12 years, and gave an awkward speech, and it was super sweet and just a great point to end the campaign in!

With that, we're now set to go play the next campaign- Which will happen 8 years after this epilogue (ten years after the end of the major campaign events). I'm going to be playing Siegmund, one of Yxala's kids, and I'm very excited for that.

Yxala won't be doing any major stuff- She's gonna still go fight corpos in the streets and she's going back to the Mecha Derby (did y'all know she was a mecha pilot in a sports competition lmao. I'm working on her pilot fit, it's cool!). Urion is going to be back on Demonwire, mostly to raise funds for those hurt by The Onirist and Ataraxia, and will have a bigger role coming up- Specially given Siegmund's (and Vyxander, his twin) have a lot to do with that. SO. blorbo of the month is my soecialest girl SHOKO IEIRI 🌚🌚🌚 she’s a doctor and she got her medical license through cheating. medical malpractice queen. she’s one of the only sorcerers capable of using reverse cursed technique (basically she can heal injuries magical touch that kind of shit) so she’s super valuable and never goes out to fight on the battlefield, but she’s overworked as hell because of it. That’s why she has eye bags ❤️ AND she smoked in high school and what’s VERY INTERESTING TO ME. about this is that she’s a very nonchalant kind of gal,,,, she always seems like she doesn’t gaf. she got disappointed when she couldn’t dissect a teenager, she didn’t get upset when her best friend came up to her and said “oh yeah i hate non-sorcerers and i’m gonna kill them all lol” and we never see her cry BUT. youre told in like this character profile only in the manga that she quit smoking five years ago, but then shit happens to her OTHER best friend and we see her SMOKING. Oh man, it's really hard to choose! I've got quite a few little niche facts about the Links!! So I'll just list one for each Link 🫶🏽 Hopefully I'll do it in alphabetical order </3

Artisan still lives with the Tailor's family! They work under her apprenticeship, rather than her husband, and they're much happier as a tailor than they were as a blacksmith. (actually also adding that Artisan keeps in contact with the other heroes from Triforce Heroes :D they're Crimson and Sapphire!

Engie is really big into herpatology on the side. His first love is definitely trains (and Zelda, I guess) but he loves picking up injured reptiles that he sees and nursing them back to health! His favourite type of reptile is a snake and he loves rainbow boas :D

Eras actually really enjoys cooking. Before being enlisted into the Hyrulean army, he wanted to be a chef. Being a hero swept him up and he's been too ensnared by court theatre to ever even think about his dreams a chef. He can still cook up a mean pumpkin soup though.

Faye has far more tattoos than meets the eye--and yes, those...tend to bleed too. Their blood has a strange blue tint to it that translates through their scars too. (side bar but I do actually have a diagram with the tattoos so I'm adding that too)

Feathers has a loftwing named Azul. He thinks he's very smart and funny for naming the Red Loftwing a shade of blue.

Green, in Minish's system, is incredibly paranoid. He's a huge motherhen and very protective of his system, and they constantly keep a moon pearl attached to their necklace. Just in case! They also keep a mysterious shell on their necklace as well...for luck.

Due to excessive magic use as a kid, Mirror suffers through severe chronic pain. He has a cane in his bag for days when flare ups are so bad he could barely walk. That doesn't stop him from continuing to use magic, he just has to use it very sparingly.

Tune lives full time in Tetra's crew. He values her expertise and knowledge and respects her more than anyone--besides his grandmother, of course. He's adamant that she's the strongest (and coolest) person he knows. (also, since I couldn't pick which fact I wanted to write, I'm adding that he is OBSESSED with cats. The Ship cats practically own him

Kind of a random detail in my AU, but Agitha is the one who helped Rancher realise she's a girl and helped her be confident in her body! They collect bugs together and Rancher definitely doesn't know a lot about them, but she LOVES hearing Agitha infodump about them.

Wild is a lone wolf by design. It's not like he intends to be that way, but he just. Always feels like a passive observer of his own life and accidentally drifts away from groups without realising it. Because of it, he can blend into the background very well.

Zonau has not talked to someone in literal decades. He isolated himself to do the goddesses know what, and kind of sucks at socialising as a result. It's just super out of practise. It's a little bit of a hermit crab.

LOVE HER i love her role in the crick arc and i love her scene with melora and i especially love that we get a little peek into how the chosen recruits members because i am so horrible fascinated by how they function as a cult militia. i love her she's awesome.

Crochet that merch you can't afford. Crochet your OCs. Crochet your blorbos.

Sure, you'll have to buy yarn, but if you're doing plushies, you can get those bags of assorted yarn from goodwill, then just wash the plushie when you're done.

Sewing. You can fix clothes, patch rips, hell, you can even fix the holes in socks! You can make things like plushies from old ripped clothes that can't be donated.

You can make so much!! You can make pants that fit. You can make skirts and dresses with deep pockets and a skirt that does the spinny. You can make blankets and pillowcases and pillows shaped like snorlax. You can make a life sized pokemon if you're patient enough. You can crochet a dog sized Slinky toy story, and have him able to extend as long as you want. No one can stop you.

Hell, I'm knitting plushies of my fursona soon, and I'm gonna be way off with color and patterns because I'm lazy, but the knockoffs(tm) will still be loved.

In my spare time I knit and sew plushies to donate to local kids. The red cross in some areas has patterns so you can create and donate Trauma Teddies - these are bears carried by first responders and emergency rooms and given to children during a crisis. There's charities all over the place that take plushies, hats, socks - whatever you can make - and helps distribute them to hospitals, shelters, and other communities that may need them.

It doesn't matter how good or bad you are, because your creation can help someone. Even the ugliest knit doll I ever made? I still get snapchats of him on his adventures sometimes.

i love the vampire/demon morzatorix au sm it stems from my deep love of au's (i love to put the blorbos in situations) i think it was because the first fandom i was ever in was like 90 percent aus (the source work was pretty bad okay but we loved the characters) (and im not saying which fandom its to embarrassing) im kind of to scared to write aus tho, my characterization needs some work...

I consider it one of my sillier AUs... except for the Snorzan one maybe xD I mostly like AUs because it allows more people to survive and to generally have a better fate :'D (even if I still set them on fire and traumatize them a bit ehem). New chapter of the vampire/demon thing is at 3389 words with two scenes by now. One of them is Selena needling Morzan. She's just great. No little Murtagh yet though.

That's the nice thing about AUs though; characterization can be a bit more loose, since a character is shaped by experiences too. Of course not everything, basic characteristics stay.

Ask me about tips about characterization when I've only been writing for a year and don't take my writing that seriously xD But uuuh... hmmmm.. I'll try :'D

I'm not even sure if I got anything helpful in general; I mostly just work off of a ton of headcanons I have, or things that are possible to be read out of canon and be built on. The obvious I guess; don't make the character an angel nor make them cartoonishly evil, or make them either overpowered and/or the world's punching bag. Think about why characters are like that and how it influences them in other situations (Morzan bullying Brom implies insecurities, which should technically contradict his ego but they are still there). If it's a long fic; allow them to change and be shaped by stuff that happens to them (Galbatorix, proud father of two) as far as they can change (he still doesn't like other kids). Give them habits, small rituals and fav food. Let their actions and experiences have consequences and that not only in the most practical times. And let the character do their thing, even if it's not in the story notes. [Like, the whole thing in Dragonwing-effect where Galbatorix starts sobbing about Jarnunvösk after the 'wedding' was not in my notes. I had a different talk in there. But buddy had to air out his suppressed grief I guess and in hindsight it would have been strange if he hadn't reacted to Morzan asking about the scale. The original topic simply came up a chapter later.]

One thing that is most important for IC fics to me; to not treat dragons like 'animals' or simply talking methods of transport. But also to not make them fact-spitting oracles who also always support their rider in everything. They have their own individual character, even if they are tightly attached to their partner. In Dragonwing-effect I tried to at least let their riders mention what Shruikan or Cruor were doing, if Galbatorix and/or Morzan were 'alone' in the chapter. Basically, with riders, one is always writing two characters automatically... if that makes sense. The dragon-rider bond isn't comparable to anything else.

It is Tuesday morning here, so I'm getting the two children ready to go to toddler music class after brekky. I get to be a big dork and sing and dance to nursery rhymes while throwing bean bags and waving ribbons with my kids. It's fun, and I love it.

Chef-husband is still waiting for a surgery say for his broken shoulder, and we're all so excited for him to get full mobility back. He's feeling a lot better, but his bones and cartilage still grind a bit when he moves.

I am going swell. Picked up some things yesterday to send blorbo packages to a few mutuals (who I hope enjoys what their comfort characters picked out for them with my money 💀). Just little things, but it's fun.
