After nine tedious minutes of waiting in line, four friends finally enter through the doors of hell, or heaven, depending on one’s perspective. Welcomed by the almost deafening speakers, they witness the wave of guests all over the place, most of whom may as well embody the nine inner circles of Inferno or the seven terraces of Purgatorio—although some of them will probably consider this realm their paradise for a night. Yet one of these friends does not have the same level of enthusiasm as the other three as his mind is filled with doubt and regret for setting foot in this place on this weekend night.
“I still don’t think it’s a good idea to bring me here.”
“Come on, now. No need to be a party pooper, man. We promise you won’t regret this.”
“I already am, though. Besides, I don't mind being a party pooper.”
“Dude, Honggi’s not entirely wrong. Junghoon-ah, we might not get another chance to have fun in the next two weeks since people started booking reservations at the diner!”
“Well, I can’t blame customers for wanting to dine there. Isn’t that what gives us jobs in the first place? I can’t even believe you’re also going along with this, Kangmin-ah.”
“I know, I know... But think of this occasion as spending our paychecks for something new and fresh. Plus, you're the most hardworking guy between the four of us… This is your time to relax!”
“But this isn't the first place that comes to my mind when it comes to relaxation.”
“Oh, just wait until you meet someone who will change your mind,,” Honggi points his finger at him a few times. “Then you'll thank us for letting you come here!”
Autumn has arrived. Clubs were never Junghoon's style, it never has been. Ever since he’s gone on his own, he often spent his independence working from job to job across various kitchens in Seoul. But his colleagues couldn't help but insist that he tag along with them during his sixth month of working at a casual dining restaurant. And tonight, they’re inside a venue where most casual things also happen to their visitors. It’s the first time in a while that he hasn’t stayed inside home. Aside from buying groceries during weekends, going on jogs at local parks, or killing his free time on his laptop with content that’s either insightful or “brain rot-inducing,” though he tends to balance the two, more in favor of the former.
“Yeah, dude,” Insoo chimes in. “Who knows if some of us will be lucky enough to bring a chick to their place tonight? Ever thought about that benefit?”
“You should’ve definitely cleaned up your own place first if you want that to happen,” Junghoon shoots back.
“Eh,” he shrugs. “I’ll just head to their place instead and I'll make them a mess.”
“You know, words like those are why you haven’t hit off with anyone whenever we go here,” Kangmin chimes in.
“Whatever,” he grumbles. He’s had enough of his friends’ banters. “Are we just gonna stand here in the corner like a bunch of dorks or are we gonna start pushing our luck?”
Junghoon considers these given options. “I actually don't mind just standing here—”
“Come on. Get in there, man!” Honggi slowly pushes him as they both walk into the middle of the dance floor while the other two follow. “I promise you won’t regret it.”
And there he is. On the spot with the rest of the guests.
Junghoon slowly nods his head, awkwardly moving to the rhythm of the music. The less he became conscious of the crowd around him, the more he encouraged himself to keep on moving to the upbeat sound. Closing his eyes on his spot, his thoughts reassure him of an upside of clubbing, unlike what his buddies have been suggesting for the past half an hour. It’s a reminder that clubbing doesn’t have to be about flirting or mingling with others. Knowing that he may no longer want to visit a place like this the next time he’ll be invited, he gives it all. Tonight, the kitchen and restaurant are the least of his worries. It's about time he serves himself. Plus, he’s watched or played enough TikTok challenges in the background during his spare time to not be empty-handed for this hyper moment.
But after a minute has passed, Junghoon suddenly bumps into a woman in front of him with force not strong enough to be painful, yet strong enough to interrupt her movement and once unbothered mojo. Slowing down his dancing, he remains alert, with adrenaline pumping to his veins, bracing himself for any form of outburst or reaction from the very person he’s now.
“Joesonghamnida…” he speaks out—raising his voice so she can hear, knowing that he had already disrupted her ethereal spirits.
But as she turns around and meets her eyes with his, her eyes of confusion transform into disbelief, widening at the sight of the man. And just before Junghoon can bow to her in a rapid succession, he reacts similarly as the woman. “Junghoon-sunbaenim?”
“Kaede-ssi.” A smile forms on both their faces, having found familiarity amidst the neon sea of strangers. As the intensity of the music drops, both take the chance to walk to the bar counter, sitting down on the stools and offering each other drinks as an icebreaker to make up for lost time and catch up on their present in the next several minutes.
He looks at her, realizing how much her hair is shorter compared to their last encounter. As her attire looks more daring. It's a new look for her, but he can't help but admit how it suits her, at least in his mind. “You’re the last person I’d see in a place like this,” he teases, before taking a sip of the bottle of light beer she bought him.
“Feeling’s mutual,” she tuts, making him chuckle. To him, she’s more or less the same snarky, sometimes menacing, and cutesy junior he knows, just a few years older since their last encounter. Still kinda snarky, he thinks.
“Well, I didn’t go here by choice,” he clarifies, taking a glance at a distance to check on his friends at the other side of the club, grooving with faces who he has no familiarity with as the music continues to keep enchanting the larger crowd in the middle back into the dimension where electronic and techno music dominates.
“Not all of us have a choice at first,” she takes a sip of the same bottle he bought her, noticeably a much larger amount than his. “I know that sounds dramatic, but I never expected to be an occasional visitor here until my friends practically begged me. Still, there’s a sense of comfort here the longer you're here.”
“I guess that’s true,” he nods, seeing the other side of guests at the venue. Ones who are like them, simply laid back on their seats, chatting or cracking up jokes with friends or newfound companions while the rest keep on grooving. “But that being said, what are you up to these days? Don’t tell me you’re just visiting here every night.”
“Nah, I don’t wanna have fun somewhere where I’m also working. I do some work at some side gigs here and there, and I’m either a part-time coach and fitness or dance instructor on weekdays, I also do some modeling and photoshoots for quick bucks.”
“Got a lot on your plate I see,” he quips, impressed by her list of jobs, listing them as if she’s citing him her past experiences for a job application.
“Yeah, but I’m just making ends meet while I try to find a more stable job…” she groans. “You see, this is why idols are so damn lucky.”
“Couldn’t your parents have helped you with that?” he wonders, though his tone remains cautious. “But I hope you don't take it the wrong way! It's just, the last time I saw them, I remember they were probably one of the most thoughtful and protective folks out there. I’m sure helping you with jobs shouldn’t be that different.”
“It's fine,” she replies, chortling at his abrupt tone of panic. “I get it... But looking back, living here is different from Toyama. I can’t always rely on them. I get to start over and learn to mostly live making my own choices, though it’s also thanks to you and our club that adjusting in these conditions has become a little less difficult.”
“Of course, you were an amazing addition to Mad Money… You were a bit menacing at first, but I thought that was impressive. And a good thing. The girls thought the same. You even taught them a thing or two about Japanese culture.”
“Well,” she sighs. “None of my achievements back then would’ve been possible without you guys… And if I’m being honest—I always appreciate my parents’ job offers through our relatives or their associates. I'll always be touched whenever they worry about me. But I just don't wanna be their little otter anymore, you know? Not all the time.”
“Otter, huh?” Junghoon snorts, though he finds his hoobae’s sentiment to be overall heartwarming. “Mianhae. I understand what you mean. You want to find your own place in this ‘big river.’ It’s just, I can’t believe you still remember that nickname.”
“Of course,” she gloats without shame. “I embrace my spirit animal. Going through those booths at the festival were one of the first things that made my freshman year memorable, including our own. Made me realize it was worth staying here in Korea. Like another big river or sea worth setting my foot on.”
“You mean your paws?” he interposes.
“Yah!” She can’t help but laugh at his tease. “I thought we were being serious here.”
“I’m kidding!” he lets out a snicker. “Kudos to you, I suppose,” he respectfully raises his near-empty bottle with a smile. “You’re now an independent otter—I mean person. You were always one of the most capable members in the club—so now that I think about it, there is no doubt that you’re doing well now.”
She raises her bottle in response, giggling at his verbal slip up, yet hearing his honest compliments only made her smile. “You think that? How so?”
“You didn’t just prove you could do things on your own. You simply can,” he answers with a straight face, delivered with a modest tone. “You were a tough cookie, but you were also a compassionate person. You didn’t hesitate to help out others.”
Only gazing at him with a sense of comfort and perhaps adoration, Kaede doesn’t have a sarcastic remark to throw back at his statement. While some things have changed, some remain the same, even with him, she realizes. “Still got the dad energy, I see.”
“Dad ener—” he raises an eyebrow, making an embarrassed chortle leave his mouth. “Please don’t say it like that. I’m not that older than you.”
“I know, but I don’t know how else to describe it,” she shrugs. “I’ve forgotten how good you are at giving compliments… You’re that wise, perhaps a little too protective sunbae when we first met in the club.”
“I only say those things to someone if they’re true,” he retorts. “Besides, that’s all you. So at least everything we’ve done paid off, to say the least.”
“I guess so… How about you, sunbae?” Now it’s her turn to ask, resting her chin on her clasped hands. “How's our old ‘errand boy’ doing nowadays?”
“Not that different, to be honest,” he tells her. “This errand boy never really found the time to have fun at work. Kitchens tend to be busier on weekdays… So whenever we do find the time to relax, my buddies would invite me to places like this. I just happened to say ‘yes’ this time.”
“That’s exactly why I go here!” she exclaims with excitement in her voice. “Even when I’m not with my friends, blowing off some steam on my own often helps me forget the fact that having dreams isn't enough to make it from day to day.”
“I never thought of it that way,” he places his hand on his chin and rubs it for a moment. “But then again, I’ve always thought you were a great dancer since then, especially when you joined the Dragons. And even if things might not look the best right now, I'm happy that you're still doing something you’re passionate about, Kaede.”
She looks down slightly, trying to hide her reaction, as she can feel her lips forming a smile after hearing Junghoon’s compliment. “Thanks, sunbae… I’m sure you’re doing the best you can too. Not to mention, you have some thoughtful friends who still care about your social needs.”
“You don’t get those often?” he teases.
“I have too much of those from my colleagues!” she shoots back with a giggle. “That's another reason why I go here on my own. I love them, but I rarely get my ‘me times’ whenever they invite me for a get-together.”
“Well, it does feel nice to have some folks to have your back, but as someone who’s the complete opposite, I’m not judging you.” He turns to look around, scanning the areas where he last found his friends. He feels a buzzing in his pocket—receiving a message that only got sent just a minute ago. It’s official: they are nowhere to be seen, making him sigh in disappointment. He looks back to Kaede once again, who was also paying attention to where his eyes went. “Speaking of which… I wished they were still here so I could introduce you to them, but it looks like they got what they wanted, so here we are.”
“Hmm, that can be for another time… More time for ourselves to catch up. It would be disrespectful of me to just let go of a sunbae like you.”
He did not expect those words from her. “Didn’t strike you as the flirtatious type.”
“Yet you were intimidated by me,” she hums, darting her mischievous eyes at him. “Remember those times?”
“Nah, that was back then,” he defends himself as if her remark didn’t affect him. But in actuality, her words strike through him. Not because he was embarrassed by her factual teasing about him during their past, but about the way he’s starting to see her now. How she’s different from her past. How she’s no longer the soft-spoken and cutesy hoobae or an amusing force to be reckoned with that he knew. I mean, of course, she’s still cute, he corrects himself in his mind. And besides, he has long known that her reserved attitude, which others adore her for, was more of a facade or surface level impression whenever she meets new people she’s not hostile to. She can be bubbly, teasing, and energetic at times, just like she is now. But still, there is another shade of beauty from her that he never noticed, or at least appreciated before, considering his mind and heart were longing for someone else. That was a different time. This present matters more.
“I didn’t get why you weren’t popular with girls,” she brings up. “Outside Mad Money, of course. And they adored you very much! They had some of the most stunning visuals of any student on campus, and none of them were idols.”
“I can't believe you're describing yourselves like that.”
“But that's how a lot of folks saw us,” she defends her recollection.
“I know. I was kidding,” He chuckles, before letting out a nostalgic sigh. “Though, with my case, I’m pretty sure that everyone else wouldn’t be into someone like me. At least, not back then. Considering how I looked and how little of a social life I had—that was expected of me... But I didn’t mind. College for me wasn’t about dating or hook-ups.”
She shakes her head. “Don’t be all imposter syndrome on yourself.”
Such a term struck a chord in him, but he keeps himself reasonable, willing to hear the woman’s words out. “I’m not.”
“Look, sunbae. College wasn’t perfect. But I remember it not being as bad, either. Not every person was a bully, and it’s not like everyone doesn’t gain any weight during those times either! Even in our batch, I knew people who don't hold high standards anymore. I knew women who started looking for personality a lot more than looks, though it’s a plus. Some of them didn’t even want relationships ‘cause their hearts were broken by asshats—yet they ended up with folks who were keepers.”
“I understand your point,” he interjects, albeit with a polite tone.
She opens her palms. “And my point is, you had both of those. Personality and looks.”
He guffaws at her claim. “Again with your teases.”
“They're not!” she defends herself. “And if they wanted to hook-up with some stereotypical ulzzang douche, they would’ve gotten that from every fuckboy they see. You’re a keeper, Junghoon-sunbae… Any woman would’ve been lucky to be with you.”
“Well, thanks, I guess,” he takes a final swig of his drink, not reacting much to her point. “But, umm, listening to your point… I can say that I feel fine with the way I am now.”
“And so do I,” she backs him up. There’s nothing wrong with that. In fact, some things are better for me.”
“You didn’t enjoy your college dating life?” he asks back.
“It was fine,” she shrugs. “It was like yours, if I guess so myself. Had its ups and downs. Never lived it to the fullest, that’s for sure.”
“But you’re cute and charming. And you were kind of outgoing at times because of the Mad Money Club. That’s like a plus for you when you were meeting people back then.”
“That’s what they all said about me. Cute, adorable, soft-spoken. It’s like most of the people I dated just wanted a companion to hug or talk to, which is fine, if they would have just started making more moves than those two. And I can't even act angry when there's a reason for me to be one! I’m not some rent-a-girlfriend or a living teddy bear!”
“You’re an otter,” he interposes.
“Exactly,” she sarcastically affirms. “They couldn’t even get my spirit animal right.”
“But in all seriousness, you are beautiful, Kaede-ssi. That was their loss.”
“Now, where did those words come from?” she teases him, despite his words triggering a surge of electricity trickling throughout her body. Her mere gaze at Junghoon makes her heart start to skip its usual beat. The way she sees him feels different, at least compared to back then. Even though she knows well that the “beer goggles” effect is nothing but a bunch of baloney, perhaps the alcohol that makes her question things, now that they’ve met after college. “Was your fourth bottle making you tipsy all the sudden?”
“Not drunk, just being honest,” he shoots back. “Nothing wrong with that, is there?”
“Fair enough,” she snickers. “But no thanks to you, all I find out tonight are nothing but non-stop surprises.”
“So it’s my fault now?” he questions with a smile forming on his face, surprised at her sudden jab. “You’re blaming the newcomer?”
“In a way,” she taunts even more. “And I don’t wanna miss any more surprises by just letting you leave early.”
“I like the sound of that, actually. What do you have in mind?”
“Why not go for another round?” she suggests, piquing his interest about her more.
“The same bottle?” he wonders. “I feel like you’ve already had three, but okay then.”
“Not that, sunbae,” she stops him before he could raise his hand to the bartender. The woman motions her head behind her, keeping a smug smile at him. Junghoon notices the now-less yet still crowded dance floor, a bit taken aback by her suggestion. “I was thinking we’d head back. I’d rather have fun and be a little more sober.”
“Oh, I’m not the dancing type,” he shakes his head with a humble smile, lifting his hands like he got caught. “You saw me out there. I didn't know how to hit the floor like you did. You were practically an idol!”
“You weren’t that bad,” she reassures him. “I actually think you were better than most of them. You were on the beat.” She stands up from her stool and holds his hand, sending a tingling spark of electricity through his skin. A grin forms around her lips, as her actions fascinate him more. “But this time… You're following my lead.”
Kaede slowly walks Junghoon back to the crowded dance floor, where they would bust out their moves, syncing in their expressive spirits, now that they’re grooving next to each other. The longer he tries to imitate her every style and move, or at least give his own spin to it, Kaede's facial expressions allure Junghoon. Throughout their years in college, Junghoon never saw Kaede as anything more than a hoobae and a friend. Sure, he’s only a year older than her, and they weren’t that close, but they were on good terms. Their presence gave each other comfort and a space to confide in each other whenever they met.
Yet tonight—new feelings from him arise, thanks to their reunion. Unbeknownst to him, she’s not feeling too different. In fact, Kaede may be harboring stronger feelings. Not necessarily something that gives her butterflies on her stomach. Rather, more of a physical one. She never brought it up when they’re talking, but his physique has caught her attention, she wouldn’t have noticed it was him, if it wasn’t for his face. His breath just tempts her to get closer.
“Looking better, sunbae,” she shouts to him while her body sways. “Keep it up!”
As minutes go by, mixes and tunes of songs he’s familiar with play through the speakers.
Balkkeuchi ajjilhage Eodiro hyanghadeunji Sunsuhan sangsang geu kkeut neomeoe Deryeodajweo glassy~~
What you waiting for? ige tarakimyeon we fall fall fall What you looking for? weonhandamyeon now we fall we fall we fall

Mmmm I can melt an igloo Yeah cause I’m so dang hot~~
He has little to no clue how to dance any of the songs' choreo but he can only find them pleasant tunes to dance to. And now that he's with a familiar face, Junghoon feels more comfortable. The playlist has, more or less, a pattern as the DJ must’ve intended it—but the pair are too immersed to notice.
They keep dancing to the tune until there’s only a few inches of space between them, practically grinding on each other's bodies on the dance floor as their rhythm syncs in with the rhythm of the sensual and upbeat music. Her hands slowly direct him to wrap his hands around her petite and well-toned body, smoothly sliding down through her curves until they reach her hips. Junghoon’s slow and gentle touch electrifies the woman, sending sparks within, especially on her more sensitive regions that makes her let out a soft moan amidst of cacophony of thunderous speakers and passionate cheers in the club, making herself bite her lower lip in to muffle whatever else unforeseen and obscene noise that was about to leave her mouth in front of the everyone else.
Their eyes meet as everything around them slows down. They can feel each of their own heartbeats, getting louder as the roaring speakers that surround the place. Despite their five-centimeter difference, Kaede’s sudden jolts of pleasure urge her to rest her arms on his shoulders. Junghoon leans in closer, allowing her to entangle them around his neck.
Looking into each other’s eyes from a few inches, no words come out from either of their mouths, knowing how vain it would be to mutter a sound in a sea of dissonance. Unlike him, there’s virtually no sense of hesitation from Kaede—only curiosity and longing for what’s in front of her while she breathes heavily in his sight. She closes her eyes as her lips touch his for a moment, before parting to anticipate his reaction. For a few seconds, Junghoon becomes paralyzed by her sudden advances, yet feels his senses stimulated at the same moment. Her flavored lipstick oddly tastes like maple syrup. Even as their lips have already parted, her intoxicating breath still lingers. He feels a sense of hunger for her. His senses and his impulses can no longer lie to him. Through every reaction he feels, his mind and body screams at him. He wants her, here and now.
This time, he leans closer to Kaede, letting out a moan as they slowly have a taste of each other’s mouths, exploring a gustatory spectrum of bitter, sweet, sour, salty, and savory, which they both relish while embracing under the neon lights, not giving a single care about everyone and everything else around them, despite their ears catching cheerful whistles beside them, considering how they take pleasure in this irresistible excitement with their soft lips smacking each other in a tight embrace. Their heated moment on the dance floor would last for a minute until the DJ plays another mix, though for them, it is only the beginning.
The restroom was their next destination. Sloppily locking lips and battling each other’s tongues inside a stall. Despite the insatiable sensation they’ve been savoring in the past five minutes, they decide to catch their breaths—leaving a string of saliva—as their lips part. And yet, he’s not done. He leans down on the woman, playfully kissing her neck and holding her waist with his right hand, triggering a rousing stimulus that reaches down her crotch. Acting more on her ecstatic urges, she kisses him while holding his hand and guiding it down her crotch. Juices were leaking through her pants, but he got her memo. Tempted to explore her pants, he digs two fingers deeper, though the fabric is not thin enough for him to traverse into her regions.
“You can reach inside,” she murmurs under her breath, tingling at his alluring touches.
He nods, before cautiously pulling down her pants until his hand finally reaches her clit, which he begins to rub from side to side, before massaging it for a moment just to check her reaction. “Ugh… Fuck, that’s it.”
His index and middle fingers finally do their trick by making swirling motions inside her cunt, tickling and stimulating the woman at the same time while he places her neck once again. She tries to muffle her moans by biting her lower lip, but he adds another trick by finally inserting a finger inside her entrance—slipping into her opening with ease thanks to it being coated in her juices. Her continuous positive murmurs encourage him to keep on going as the middle finger follows inside, igniting a louder moan from her. Now, both fingers slowly make their way deep inside her cunt in search of more stimulating zones. Much to his surprise, he’s already stumbled on most of them. Hence, he goes through his techniques in the next few minutes, not wanting to rush and dissatisfy Kaede while he tries on different rubs and strokes inside her in the same rhythm.
“Oppa… Nghh… It feels so—” she whines with pleasure, feeling the build-up down inside her nether regions while his fingers continue their work. “I’m–uhh… I–aah…. I’m close!”
More and more fluid leaks out of her opening.
Kaede can only close her eyes and let out another much louder moan in response, before delicately holding on his left shoulder and slowly resting her head on the right where she takes a breather from her orgasm, mumbling “Th–thank… Y-you…” which he hears well.
As Junghoon understands her movement, he looks at her with some concern. “You okay? I hope I didn’t read your gestures wrong.”
“You did great,” she wheezes. As a wide smile forms on her face, she looks at him with eyes full of surprise, curiosity, and hunger. “And by the way, I thought you weren’t all that intimidated by me, sunbae,” she teases, putting her hand on his blushing face.
“I can say the same thing about you,” he snickers, shaking his head. “I can’t believe you paid a waiter so we can have the room all by ourselves.”
“And for that, you’re welcome, sunbae,” she retorts sarcastically.
“Please, you don’t have to keep calling me that, Kaede-ssi,” he proposes, stroking her scruffy and sweaty hair. “We are way past formalities at this point, don’t you think?”
“Then stop using honorifics with me,” she counters him. “At least for tonight.”
“Well…” He thinks for a second, not wanting to disappoint the muse.
“Does Kae-chan sound good to you?”
“Of course, oppa,” she answers with glee, with her heavy breathing slowly subsiding. “Now, why don’t we head somewhere else? Somewhere where no else can bother us.”
= = =
Junghoon expected they would take a taxi or a bus ride to their next destination, but much to his surprise, Kaede’s apartment was only a three minute walk from the club. Setting foot on her doorstep, he notices that her place is the perfect balance of messy and clean, oddly enough. Still, he didn’t have enough time to look into this whole abode, because at the moment he takes his shoes off—his lips are met by Kaede’s once again. He holds on to her waist, pulling her closer so he can deepen the kiss in a more comfortable position.
“You done checking out my place?” she murmurs in-between kisses, slipping under his shirt and feeling his sweating chest. “How about you check something else instead.”
“I wouldn't want anything more,” he hisses, before latching his lips onto hers once more, with his hands resuming their exploration of her physique from her breasts to her waist.
Carrying the woman with his toned arms, they reach her bed. Leaving each other kisses on each other’s lips and neck, they start undressing each other’s tops, allowing them to access more zones to explore and pleasure.
“It’s my turn now, oppa,” she pushes him on the edge of the bed, making him sit down. Seeing her seductive smile, Junghoon anticipates her move, allowing her to zip down his pants and revealing his erect cock. Her eyes can only widen at his girth and length, while her mouth slowly drools. But despite this intimidating sight, she is not gonna back off so easily. With her tongue, she starts to leave a few licks around his cock before proceeding to his balls, sending tingles across the man’s brain and even making him moan, like how he made her. After her ticklish teases, Kaede finally takes in his member inside her small mouth without any word, surprising him. In her determined mind and excited body, it is a dare she is willing to take—considering how she wants for both him and herself to have a good time tonight. Within a short moment, she’s able to take half of his thick shaft as it enters her mouth, pushing the limits of her jaw by opening it as wide as she can.
He keeps his hands gripped on her hair while he thrusts his own member in and out of her mouth. Yet, despite this position, he knows that she’s in control. Feeling her tongue slithering on his cock with every thrust only intensifies the pleasure he’s already feeling. For more than ten minutes, Kaede continues her routine before, eventually, Junghoon’s stimulation begins to overload his senses. She finally returns the favor to him with how he serviced her in the bathroom earlier. “Fuck, Kae—” he groans loudly. “I’m gonna…”
Although he tries to pull out as far as he can, Kaede keeps her mouth open in front of his tip with her hand gripping on his legs, anticipating what comes next. A stream of semen blasts out of his shaft, entering straight through her mouth. He looks at her swallowing her catch, which makes him scratch his head just as a chortle leaves his mouth.
“You just took it all in?” He asks the woman out of concern and disbelief, comforting her with a caress on her back while she coughs and catches her breath.
“Most of it,” she clarifies with a smile. She takes another look down his flaccid, yet still leaking cock. “I thought I could, but they just kept on dripping, oppa.”
He laughs at her honest remark before pecking her on the lips, not caring about the fact that his seed is on her mouth. “It’s fine. You didn’t have to… You did good, Kaede-chan. Thank you.”
As she couldn’t resist his bold gesture, and his mouth, Kaede leans in to extend and deepen their kiss once, resuming their heated makeout neither of their excited spirits want to end. This time, she assists him in helping take off her own remaining garments, unhooking her bra from the back while she takes off her panties and carelessly throws it into the floor, revealing her perky breasts. But as he lays her down on the bed, a serious thought pops up in his mind, making him ignore his now enlarged cock and follow his sense of reasoning before they can proceed with their next exercise.
“Do you have a condom?” He finally speaks about his concern.
“I–umm…” Her face starts to redden, alerting himself to take more initiative.
“If you don’t, I can just buy outside. I’m sure—”
“No, no!” she exclaims, much to his surprise, before lowering down her tone into a shyer one. “You can find a box inside the nightstand.”
Complying with her direction, Junghoon walks to the nightstand and opens it, finding a box of premium condoms, all of which are still unopened, something he finds odd due to how many it is. At the same moment, his eyes also spot some rather interesting toys next to the box, and a lube. Kaede notices him taking a little longer, though she doesn’t panic.
“I've been doing things by myself,” she tells him with the same soft-spoken intonation. “Things can get lonely here sometimes, you know.”
But truth be told, making assumptions about his old friend and partner for the night is the last thing he wants to do. He’s here because he wants to make her feel good. Both of them want to. Slowly and steadily, he opens a sachet and wraps the condom around his still erect member while she watches on from the bed surrounded by her two pillows.
“It's okay,” he smiles, giving off a comforting look to Kaede. “I don't judge. I get it.”
Kneeling on the bed, he pounces on her on the bed as she latches her lips onto his, resuming the flames of their passion. Slowly but surely, he positions her on the bed while she nudges a pillow on her rear end, their naked bodies now facing each other.
“Take it easy,” she coos as her blush remains, making Junghoon slow down from his more aroused state. He’s starting to notice her facial expression. She’s a bit nervous.
“Oh… It is your first time?” he tries to make sure.
She slowly nods, before adding, “I mean, it’s my first with someone I’m not dating... It’s been a while since I’ve done… This…” She lets out a sigh. “Is that, um, okay you, oppa?”
“Of course, Kae-chan,” he reassures her with a kiss. He doesn’t know why, but hearing such a revelation makes him feel a teeny-tiny bit of weight on his shoulders. Based on her words just now, he knows she’s done it before. “I’ll do it slowly, okay?”
She nods again, forming a dampened smile, as he positions his shaft into her entrance. With his head reaching the opening, he slides in his shaft ‘till the first half of his length reaches her vagina. Kaede cannot help herself but purr, slowly welcoming his member, though the fact that’s only halfway inside also makes her hold on to both his shoulders. He gives a few more thrusts as the rest of his cock reaches deeper inside her. Junghoon’s groans mirror the woman’s muffled moans, yet they sound music to her ears—eventually letting go as she opens her mouth and lets out rising pitched cries. Their noises compose a cacophony that echoes through the walls of the room. Their composition can reach the heavens and intensify the flames of hell. Such sounds feel like music to both their ears, similar to the mixes they were dancing to a while ago. Minutes appear like hours, but neither of their brains are in the state to count or process anything but their ongoing stimulating movement.
“Oppa!” she whines with overwhelming pleasure, already squirting from her cunt, while he can feel his cock reaching its second limit despite continuing his pumps on top of her. “Nggnhhh… Imma… Ugh… I’m close.”
Junghoon continues kissing her neck, appearing as if he’s devouring her like a vampire in order to speed up his climax, catching up to Kaede’s within seconds while they moan in each other’s mouths until the inevitable happens. She comes first; he busts his semen inside the condom milliseconds later, yet for all intents and purposes, they came at the same time. He lies down next to her, hearing each other panting amidst the silence.
They take a breather for a few minutes, lying still on the bed. He looks at Kaede, curious about whatever he just witnessed inside her nightstand earlier. That being said, he’s not being judgmental, though curiosity has already gotten to him. “Now that we’re done…”
She slowly gets up; a suggestive smile forms on her lips. “Who says we're done, oppa?”
Her daring look only encourages him with a realization. He didn’t fail to satisfy Kaede. And another, being intimidated by her isn’t such a bad thing. In fact, he’s into this side of her. “Only you can, that’s for sure.”
Turned on by Kaede’s nerves, the man leaves more kisses on her neck, before reaching down to her ears, armpits, and thighs. “Fuck, this feels so good,” she murmurs. Despite being stimulated by the slow and gentle marks he’s making, Kaede stops him and stares at Junghoon for a moment, as an idea has been brought to her mind.
“One thing, before we keep going,” she appeals with her recognizable reserved voice.
He halts his actions, attentive to her next words. “Yes, Kae-chan?”
Aside from blushing cheeks, a sheepish smile forms on her face. “Can I call you daddy?”
“Huh?” His eyes widen at her question, yet he immediately feels a jolt down on his shaft, slowly erecting once more at the woman’s words. “Well, I guess I'm not against it. Sure.”
He takes a second packet from the box, opening it while he sees Kaede touching herself in anticipation for their second round. Once he puts on the condom, the woman lunges at Junghoon, softly pushing him into the wall nearest to the bed. “Where are we goi—”
She shushes him with a finger to his lips, before turning around and facing the wall. “Let’s do it here.”
Getting her suggestion, Junghoon lets out a weak laugh, before leaving loving pecks on her neck. Tickled by his gestures, Kaede giggles and rests her arms on the wall with her rear end bending for him, taking a deep breath. Compared to last time, his cock enters her entrance with a little more ease, though he can still feel its tightness. He begins his thrusts deeper inside her chambers at a steady pace, hitting the same stimulating spots from this position. Despite his cock still only halfway like last time, she can already feel him stretching her walls all over again, and she cannot get enough of it the second time.
“Hngghh… Daddy,” she gasps, tightening her grip around him. “You’re so fucking big!”
“You’re still…” he groans, finally entering the rest of his length deeper inside her, with his hand holding on to her hip. “So… Fuck…ing… Tight… Kae-chan!”
“Hayaku,” she murmurs on the top of her breath. Though he has some clue of what she means, she adds “Faster!” for him to understand her on-the-spot request.
He quickens his pace. She stiffens her arms, tightening her fingers on the wall.
“Would you like it… If I…do this…baby?” he murmurs. His hands climb their all the way up to her breasts, Feeling them bounce, he uses his fingers around both her nipples.
“Fuck!” she gasps at his sudden maneuver. “Yes, daddy…just keep…doing it! Ngghhh…”
Enveloping each with both his palms, he kneads her knockers in a circular and an up and down motion. Surges of pleasure run through her mind, making her tilt her head backwards as her tongue sticks out while she keeps moaning during his robust thrusts. With his hands at work, Junghoon licks her nape, tasting her dripping sweat like nectar.
While she wails in gratification, he slows down his pumps so he can lean into her ear. “Imagine if we’re doing this eye to eye, Kaede-chan.”
“Hnggghhh… Fuck!” His words strike a nerve. “You–ugh–would like that wouldn’t you?”
“You have no idea,” he chuckles. In her mind, she wants it too.
“I’m close!” she wails after a few minutes.
Junghoon doesn’t say anything, but her confession makes him smile. “Let it out, baby.”
And with a few more thrusts, Kaede finally reaches her second orgasm.
Taking their time to breathe, he holds her arms, keeping her from falling straight down to the floor.
“You didn’t come, did you?” she mumbles.
“I was… Close. But it’s fine.”
“Mianhae, I didn’t wait.”
“That’s not your fault.”
“Damn right. You were the one whispering all those stuff to me.”
“Those worked for you?” he scratches his head.
“Shut up,” she chuckles before pulling him closer to her. She trails her fingers up to his toned abs and chest. “How about we go for another one, hmm? Now, you lead the way.”
In their third round, Junghoon and Kaede face each other once again and in a burst of strength from his arms, he lifts the woman off the floor—triggering a squeal of surprise and excitement from her. With his hands holding onto her hips and her arms wrapping around his neck, their lips hungrily touch once more, still addicted to each other’s taste and scent. This time, her tongue invades his mouth, which he welcomes, allowing his to be dominated. Junghoon breaks their session after a minute to tell her he’ll be putting it in once more. With her back now comfortably reclined on the wall and him steadying his arms, she wraps her leg around his back. Their eyes lock, filled with thirst for each other.
“Hopefully, the third time’s a charm,” he quips. She bites her lower lip, suppressing her excitement with him now in control.
Junghoon begins motioning his cock inside her cunt, thrusting it in and out, triggering another of her erogenous zones. He alternates in kissing each of her plump and sweaty breasts, adding to the layers of pleasure that she’s feeling now while he rams her with a slightly faster pace and more robust pumps—inevitably flexing the muscles of his arms for Kaede to witness, despite her field of vision shaking and her whole body trembling.
“More, daddy,” she begs him with a peck to his cheek. “I want more…of your… Tricks.”
He cannot help but grin as he nods before sucking one of her tits in his mouth, licking every ounce of sweat that drips like maple syrup, amplifying the volume of her moans and cries while riding his member in carnal bliss. “Nngghh… Yabai… More, ugh!”
Another idea spirals into his lustful brain, making his hands squeeze both her soft butt cheeks, triggering another spot that makes her gasp and squeal next to his ear. “Such a good girl,” he whispers right back to her ear, continuing his teases. “Taking it so well.”
“Daddy! I’m–I’m…” she screams, with her eyes rolling on the back of her head while her tongue sticks out. Witnessing such a reaction only allows his cock to remain erect, if not grow a little longer than it already is, while he continues to plow the woman to his limit. While her ahegao still persists, Junghoon latches his lips on her tongue, surprising her in a satisfying manner. They kiss more sloppily, with their tongues dancing in rhythm, complementing the sound of their skins slapping together amidst their primal noises.
Kaede parts her lips to catch her breath, tightening her grip around his back. As if that's not enough, her fingernails dig through his skin just to snap herself out of her own state of overstimulation and tell him, “I’m close!”
“Me… Too!” he groans loudly in response, maintaining his rhythm despite feeling his muscles tire out and the slow aching yet stimulating sensation he’s feeling on his back. “Toge…ther, let’s…”
With a few more powered thrusts, the man finally explodes his load inside the condom. With the last ounce of his strength, he walks back to the bed and places down his worn out partner in the middle. They both lie once again, and much longer this time for five minutes of huffing and puffing, laughing, and exchanging more quips to one another.
“Fuck…” she pants, lightly tapping his upper abs beside her. “That was intense, daddy.”
“Language, dear,” he shoots back, making his voice even deeper and commanding.
“Oppa!” She lets out a burst of laughter, playfully smacking his shoulder. “You don’t have to take it that far.”
“I’m kidding, but it was really wild,” he chuckles, breathing a little heavier than her. He fixes her disheveled hair, moving them to the side to see her face. “You did well, baby.”
His words made her giggle, still enchanted by his charm of going along with her request. She leans closer to give him a simple yet comforting kiss then lies on his shoulder to rest next to him, which he welcomes–even helping her lie more comfortably by adjusting his posture. Her hand slowly slides down to his crotch in hopes of teasing him, but her eyes and smile can only widen in surprise when she feels his shaft up and running again.
“How is that even possible?” she exclaims.
He laughs in disbelief. “Well, you made it happen, I guess.”
Temptation drives her into wrapping her hand around his cock and slowly making an up and down motion, reinvigorating his lust and drive within seconds. His moan says it all.
“You up for an encore, oppa?” she winks at him.
“Lead the way, baby,” he reciprocates her enticement.
Despite both parties initially hoping for a warm and comforting spooning session due to their recovering bodies, it turns out they still have more than enough drive and vigor to get back up. Kaede straddles Junghoon's hips and just like that, their lustful passion is reignited the second their lips touch for the nth time. In fact, they’re still only halfway through the night, one that's about to be filled with more noises of pleasure. One that will involve more than several used condoms being tossed in the trash bin every few minutes. While this night may not have been one of Junghoon's ideas of relaxation, there's no doubt in his mind that this refreshing experience is a worthy addition.
= = =
9:50 AM. No alarm wakes her up, just her circadian rhythm. Thank God it’s Saturday.
Kaede opens her eyes, wrapped up in her blanket. It’s a miracle that she’s not feeling any headache from her hangover, although her body is screaming at her in the form of a few visible hickeys and sores felt from her neck to toe. Junghoon is nowhere to be found—at least not in the same room. She finds some of her toys, a vibrator, a butt plug, and a pair of nipple suckers, on top of the nightstand, letting out a chortle as they’re well organized compared to the last time they’ve used them. He’s a quick learner, she contemplates.
After dressing up in a new set of casual clothes, the woman opens the door, immediately catching the scent of something boiled, familiar, and delectable. She finds Junghoon in his attire last night, yet he looks clean and tidy, having used the bathroom about an hour earlier. He’s at the kitchen counter, putting the finishing touches of garnish on two large steaming bowls of ramen, whose black soup and ingredients remind the woman of her native dish back home. Near the sink, she sees her cooking pan and pot, alongside a few plates and utensils, have just been washed, including the cutting board that she hasn’t used in two weeks. As he places the bowls on the dining table, her eyes notice a large platter of assorted Japanese appetizers—which includes agedashi tofu, miso eggplant, shumai, and pork gyoza—along with a bowl of fresh, well cut fruits on a smaller platter. Although she knows what her sunbae does for a living, she's still amazed by his decorum, even daydreaming as if they’re now staying at a bed and breakfast, and she just happened to spend the whole night with the hunk, tall chef, who is now preparing breakfast.
“You’re up!” Junghoon greets her with a wave. “I hope you don't mind me using your kitchen. And just so you know, I didn't steal anything. Just borrowed your utensils.”
She walks to him, still looking at the cuisine in wonder. “No it's just—this is too much. But how did you get these ingredients? I haven’t bought groceries in a week.”
“Oh, I had them delivered from a nearby grocery, since I kinda did not wanna get locked in,” he snickers. “Or got the chance to ask you what your door pin is, though that’s fine.”
Her gaze at the table remains in spectacle, though Junghoon reads it as consternation.
“Did I cook too much?” he tries to clarify. “Or do you prefer takeout, ‘cause I can also—”
“No, no!” she panics, although she calms herself down to avoid any misunderstandings. “Don't. I didn’t say it's a bad thing. I've never cooked for myself in a long time, so seeing these on the table is just so—Wow… Thank you, sunbae. I can pay you the ingredients—”
“Please. No need for that,” he interrupts her politely. “It’s the least I can do, Kaede-ssi.”
They eat breakfast over the table. Minutes past, Junghoon can only hear the humming and cheerful chewings of the woman. “Mmm! This is something else, oppa. It’s hard to believe any of these ingredients are store-bought.”
“Thanks,” he answers, but something else is on his mind. And his silence alerts her.

“Come on now, oppa,” she initiates. “Your face is already obvious. Spit it out.”
“I don't mean to ask anything about earlier… but about those toys,” he still stops, hoping that she won’t be offended.
“You're still curious about my sex life?” She places down her renge spoon and puts her elbow on the table, raising an eyebrow at him with a half-suppressed smile. “Isn’t last night enough for you? Wait, did you not enjoy using them?”
“No, no, it’s not that! Of course, I enjoyed them.” he retorts. “That’s not what I want to ask. I’m just wondering how your friends see your dating life, considering how you said you started going to the nightclub without them at times. If that's okay with you, at least. You don't have to answer if it's uncomfortable for you.”
Kaede sighs. She’s given much thought to it herself as well, considering her hesitations from the other night. Silence ensues in the room, though she breaks it once she finally makes up her mind. “Maybe, it has stuck with me since college, but umm, you know I was roommates with Yubin-ah. You remember her, right?”
“Yeah,” he nods, trying to process where her point is heading. “Of course.”
“She’s done a lot of wild stuff with your friend back then, Yeonghwan. When they were dating and all that… I know that bringing them up may be sudden, that was maybe the first time I felt that I was envious and insecure.”
Concern arises in his eyes, yet her words somewhat resonate with him. “Of what?”
She stares into the distance, reminiscing her regrets. “Of not having that kind of experience… That feeling. Yet I didn’t get the chance until I was in my later years.”
He remembers her words from last night. Her desire to be touched, like most women, hindered by a lot of people’s surface-level perceptions and shallow expectations of her. To some degree, Junghoon himself understands how she feels, based on how others had viewed both of them in the past. Despite those things happening a long time ago, certain unpleasant memories and some hesitations still lingered within them from time to time.
“And of course, my, umm, first time with my own ex wasn't the best,” she turns to him. “But last night, you kinda made me forget that… It's like that never even happened.”
He didn’t expect those words from her. “Really now? I honestly don’t know what to say… I'm glad. But–uhh, whoever you meet next, I hope they’ll treat you the same.”
She giggles at his remark. “I don't think that's even possible, oppa.”
“This must be a new thing for you, then…” he surmises. “Though from someone who’s new, you still did well. Actually, I think well’s an understatement.”
“Thanks,” she looks down with a smile, though another realization shifts her face into a sullen expression when she looks up to him. “Though I don’t know if I want to keep up this kind of routine with my colleagues. Not everyone’s like you, sunbae.”
“Maybe that’s a good thing,” he counters. “You get to meet someone better. And why would it matter to others if you keep going on one-night stands? That’s your choice.”
“Well, I got myself into this when I showed off to my friends at work. They would brag about their flings and wild relationships, so I make them think I get laid a lot of times. Whenever they stop by to hang out, I try to make things more... convincing. Maybe it’s just my insecurity getting the best of me, but I've also gotten used to it. I lied because I thought that my own life wasn’t good enough to be shared.”
“I…” He's at loss for words, simply astonished at the woman's tale. “Didn’t expect that. But it must be tough, pretending to be someone you’re not to your friends.”
She raises an eyebrow again, her lips forming a pout. “You're judging me, aren't you?”
“I'm not judging you!” he waves his hands. “It's just, I didn't expect you to open up.”
“But your face makes it look like you have something to say about my life choices.”
“Not much… I just think that it doesn't matter how often you sleep around with anyone. And who cares if you have a lot of toys? If they really are your friends, then they would respect, forgive, and understand that you’re actually not that kind of a person. If not… Then they’re not worthy of being your friends to begin with. Just my two cents.”
“Doesn't sound like just two cents. Don’t undersell yourself,” she quips.
He lets out a sardonic laugh. “I’m just saying… Live your life however you want, as long as you’re happy, Kaede. Besides, going to a nightclub does not have to mean you got to hook up with someone... You're just having fun on your own or with your friends, and there's nothing wrong about that.”
She tilts her head as a somber smile gleams on her face. His words somehow put her at ease. “You know, with words like that, how come you still don't have a girlfriend now?”
“Because saying things like that will bore the heck out of them,” he admits. “I didn't say those things to flirt with you. I’m just saying my piece to you as a friend.”
“I know, but some gals dig that type, you know? It's like when someone's disciplining them when they're being a bad—”
"Again with the dad kink thing," he whines, yet can’t help but laugh at her frankness.
“I'm kidding!” she insists. “Well, half-kidding. And you still didn't answer my question.”
He scoffs at her attempt to change the subject back. “Again, I don't have the time—”
“That’s bullshit,” she goads. “Didn't you remember what I said about you?”
“Well, it's true though,” he simply tells her, his energized tone slightly dropping.
She senses something else. He looks discouraged. “Did someone hurt you..? You don’t have to tell me… But it seems like you have something you want to get off your chest.” She stops for a second, considering that she has gotten ahead of herself. “Unless, I’m misreading the situation.”
“You’re not, Kaede-yah…” he lightens her up. “And besides, since I asked you a personal question first, the least I can do is answer yours.” Even with his deep voice, he begins to crack as he continues to speak. “But... I–uh, I guess, I wasn't honest enough with my ex. In a way, you can say that I hurt her instead. Instead of appreciating whatever we had, I messed it up. I thought I wasn’t good enough… So I guess you're not the only one who fell into their own insecurity. Mine ruined a relationship.” He sighs, doing his best to hide his more vulnerable side from his hoobae, but she’s already seen it through his clenched fists and heard the slight quivers in his voice.
Standing up from her seat, Kaede walks to him with her arms opened, enveloping him in a warm embrace. Such an action raises his heartbeat, reciprocating her heartfelt gesture, yet he feels more than comforted.
“I hope you find someone you will love," she murmurs next to his ear. “Once you sort out whatever has been keeping you from doing so, that is. You deserve to love and be loved like anyone else, oppa.”
“And I hope you find someone who’s willing to open their door to you, and love you in all your cute, wild, sexy, and funny sides. Someone who loves you for who you are," he requites. “I'm sure someone will, Kaede.”
Their passionate night wasn’t a romantic one, but they know and feel that it doesn’t have to be meaningless either. They’re friends who reunited after a few years, and that’s more than enough for them to reconnect again. Not the closest, but good friends nevertheless.
She chuckles, before letting out a sigh of relief. No tears came out from either of them, but their hearts felt at ease from each other’s embrace. Their bodies finally part after a few seconds. Kaede looks at him with a hopeful smile. “I didn’t know one-night stands can be emotional afterwards.”
She heads back to her seat. “Me too,” Junghoon concurs. “And it’s my first time too…”
“Geojitmal,” she scoffs with a teasing smile. “Last night was, no, were your first times?”
“I wasn’t finished,” he frowns for a moment. Kaede smirks in return. “I mean this was also my first time having an emotional one-night stand. At least in the morning after.”
“Whatever,” she chortles. “Come on now, we better finish up all this food you’ve cooked. And it sucks because this will be the only time I have anything better on my table that is not delivered outside.”
“You better start cooking on your own then,” he teases. “Unless you want to come visit our restaurant some other time, you’ll get the same, if not better, quality of food for a decent price.”
“Way to go promoting your workplace,” she teases, jabbing him lightly on the shoulder. “But of course, sunbae! Just tell me the name and address. I may even bring my friends there for lunch or dinner.”
After a moment of laughter and him sharing with Kaede the name of the restaurant he’s working at, Junghoon feels a buzzing from his phone on the table before he can pick up his spoon and chopsticks. The latest messages on his buddies’ group chat arise. While Kaede takes another healthy slurp of her ramen, he reads their ongoing exchanges.
[Kangmin]: What happened to your date? Yel, was it?
[Insoo]: The busty blonde? She and her friends just ditched us right as we outside.
[Honggi]: Or maybe she already lost interest in you because she heard you call her that.
[Insoo]: Whatever. That was her loss! I bet that's not even her real name.
[Honggi]: I told you we should've gone after someone else Like that short-haired one!
[Insoo]: As if any of us had the chance! That woman was insane and untouchable on the dance floor! She definitely has high standards.
[Kangmin]: Come on, guys. Don’t beat yourselves up.
[Honggi]: Coming from the one who got someone's number.
{I’m sure there’s always gonna be another night for y’all.}
[Honggi]: Junghoon-ah!We’re so sorry for leaving early, man. Insoo got us leaving ‘cause he thought he rizzed someone up.
[Insoo]: Don’t listen to him, man. It was Honggi’s idea. I actually thought of you before he went all down bad on some redhead. [Honggi]: Yah! I only went along with you 'cause she was friends with Yel. You're the one who's down bad.
{Gwenchana, guys ㅎㅎㅎ I’m just glad you guys got home safely.}
[Kangmin]: How ‘bout you, Jung-ah? Were you still in the club when we left?
{I did! I stayed there for a little while.} {I actually had a good time.} {I owe you guys one.}
Junghoon takes a glance at Kaede. She's also on her phone, scrolling through her social reels with a wide grin.
[Insoo]: See? Now, what did we tell you?
[Kangmin]: That’s great to hear, man! Anything interesting happened?
{Oh, nothing much.} {Well, actually, it was interesting.}
She looks at his face with curiosity, after seeing him chuckle while texting his friends. “Are those your friends right now?”
[Insoo]: Really? Come on, dude, spill those beans. [Honggi]: You’re killing us with this wait! [Insoo]: What happened to you?!
“They are,” he nods, unable to hide his smile. “And I gotta say, I guess I was kind of the 'lucky one' among us last night.”
[Kangmin]: Looks like we have a true winner after all! 🤝
[Honggi]: Don’t leave us hanging, man! ㅠㅠㅠ
“Oh yeah?” she giggles, before taking a piece of pork gyoza into her mouth with a look of curiosity at his remark. “How so?”
{Guys, just chill out! ㅋㅋㅋ} {I met up with an old friend.}

burglar!mark x rich!reader
pt.1, pt.2, pt.3, pt.4
he's never coming back...
you already told yourself that multiple times, but you were still standing on front of your dining room's window, looking around for any signs about mark's arrival.
"honey, what are you looking for?" your mom sweetly called out your name, making you halt your actions.
"oh, nothing, just nothing" you shook your head, but it's not convincing enough for your mom to believe you.
'clearly, there's something going on' your mom thought. but she just doesn't want to bother you more.
her and his husband's jewelries went missing a few nights ago, but it didn't bother them that much since those were actually old and boring to wear now.
they also planned on going on a trip to a another jewelry shop someday to buy more.
"well, just sit down for a while and eat 'cause dinner's ready"
you walked over to a chair with a slumped back, sat down with a defeated sigh, and ate.
he's never coming back...
he already got what he wanted...
you told yourself again, just to make you let go of him already.
meanwhile, mark is back on the streets.
stealing phones and wallets as usual, with his best buddy haechan.
"yo dude, you should get that guy" haechan held onto his left shoulder, came close to his ear and pointed at a middle-aged man in a luxurious white suit, busy typing on his phone as he stands in the middle of a sidewalk.
"why can't you?" mark looked at him and asked.
"'cause i'll be handling that poor old lady right there" haechan pointed at the lonely granny on the other side of the street, waiting for the green light turn into red so she could walk, using their walkers.
"and if i helped them cross the street, she would give me lots of money!" haechan smiled at the thought.
"and if she doesn't?"
"i'll steal their purse" haechan said, as mark shakes his head.
"whatever, i'm on that guy.." mark said before walking towards that middle-aged man.
he ignored haechan's "good luck" behind him as he thinks of a way to rob that guy without being caught.
mark then, stands too close to him, but seems to be unnoticed. he looks around the area, pretending to admire it to avoid suspicions from other bystanders.
his hands slowly reach up to the man's left pocket, the fat wallet with credit cards and cash are coming into his view.
holy shit...
mark cautiously dipped his hand into the man's pocket, his fingers finally coming in contact with the leather texture.
'i got it! i got i--' mark slowly lifts up the wallet until
"MARK!"
"huh?" he muttered as he turned his head around quickly to spot a familiar girl running up to him fastly.
"hey wait! no!" he said, but you already hugged him.
it was you.
---------------------------------------------------
you thought that maybe going around the city with your parents can take your mind off him.
and oh boy, it didn't.
you stilk think about the kiss with him, every now and then.
it's driving you insane.
"do you like to buy something, sweetie?" your mom asked, sat beside your father on the driver's seat, looking at you through the rear-view mirror inside the car as she applies her lipstick on.
"yeah i guess so, i'm planning to get new shoes, my classmates already saw my old ones multiple times" you told them, thinking about the time your other rich classmates made fun of you for wearing the same shoes in school thrice.
"okay! me and your father will just be hanging out at the jewelry shop right there" your mom said, pointing at a jewelry shop you didn't even bother to look at.
they dropped you off to the side, as the car you were just in drives away to another direction.
you strolled around the city, finding some nice shops to shop in, and thinking of mark as well...
hmm, i wonder what he's doing right now
you thought to yourself, until you spotted that oh so familiar black beanie.
you couldn't believe it!
"MARK!" you screamed before running up to him. the people passing by suddenly stopped to look at you until continuing to walk again.
the middle-aged man was nudged a little, so he decided to move away from what's happening.
mark frowned at him leaving, and then looked down at you, still hugging him.
"oh my god, i thought i'll never see you again" you said to him, basking in his warmth.
his hands mindlessly went to hold onto your waist and push you gently, hoping you'll get the signal from him to let you go.
"don't you know i've waited for you for so long to come back?!" you looked up at him with some cute puppy eyes. you hope.
"I..." mark clearly doesn't know what to say as he looked to the side and spotted haechan watching them, sporting a beige purse on his arm with a smirk on his face.
"help me" mark mouthed at haechan, but he just laughed at him.
mark looked down on you.
"uhh, okay, it's nice to see you again too, but i have to go" mark said to you, finally making you let go of him.
"huh? where are you going--" you asked as mark quickly leaves the area. you couldn't find him anymore.
he left you confused and dumbfounded.
AGAIN.
---------------------------------------------------
"so you're telling me, you kissed this girl so you won't get snitched out, and now she's in love with you and stalking you around the city?" haechan says to him, his ass sitting on the poor and abused sofa with his feet propped up against a wooden table as he pulls out the contents of the old lady's purse one-by-one.
they're currently at their secret hideout, haechan's basement.
"yeah, I clearly didn't know what to do next, it was so stupid of me. fuck!" mark says back, pacing back and forth on front of haechan, his hands on his hair.
"well, that's good because you will now be able to get closer to her and her family. they will let you in their mansion, and if you got in, you can steal everything you want and just leave immediately like you were never there" haechan reasons, suddenly pulling out an inhaler from the purse, then throwing it aside.
"what? no way, i would never do that!" mark replies to him, stopping to look at haechan's face in a disgusted way.
"geez, it's just an idea" haechan said, putting his hands up to tell mark to calm down and let it go.
"well, whatever, she's your problem anyway and not mine..." haechan chuckled as he pulled out a bundled cash from the purse counting it immediately, ignoring mark.
mark sighed and plopped down beside haechan, watching him count the money.
"yo, you have to give me a share of tha-" mark says as he feels up his now empty pocket.
wait, huh?
mark quickly checked his pockets to make sure he's not crazy, but he's really not and his wallet totally gone!
it only has $16 in it, plus his old school ID and his family picture that he cherishes.
where could he even dropped or misplaced that.
better yet, who even stole it?
"yo dude, did you take my wallet?" mark nudged haechan's shoulder to ask him.
"i would never steal your empty and ugly-ass looking wallet" haechan stated to him, still looking at the huge money he's holding in his hands, counting it over and over again.
"i'm serious dude!"
"i really didn't!"
if it's not haechan, then...
oh no.
---------------------------------------------------
after mark left you alone again in the city, you were not really disappointed with it.
you were on your bed, kicking your feet up in the air as you look at mark's old school ID and family photo.
oh he looks so damn cute.
you really didn't think mark wouldn't feel you taking his wallet while hugging him.
you laughed at the thought, guess he wasn't the only one with robber skills after all.
'i hope he tries to get his wallet back from me'

When Tulips Kiss | Hwang Hyunjin SMAU
CHAPTERS: 𝜗𝜚 TWENTY-SEVEN | TWENTY-EIGHT | 𝜗𝜚 TWENTY-NINE
WORD COUNT: 4.3k (not proofread)
CONTAINS: talks about sex (they don’t actually have sex haha.. this is my sfw blog not my nsfw blog), profanity, a little violence
nothing has changed
“Ayen I’m nervous as fuck dude,” Hyunjin whispered nervously and wiped his sweaty palm on his jeans.
Ew.
“You’ll be fine! Just be yourself, you’ve got this.” Ayen encouraged from the other side of the phone, “Don’t worry, or else you’ll be tense and awkward, you’ll do great. I gotta go now, I’m still on live. Good luck dude!” And with that, Hyunjin’s phone beeped a few times before turning off, leaving him to just sigh and shove it into his pocket.
Exiting the vehicle, he sits on the hood of his car and waits for you to come out from the building, and soon enough, you do.
There you were, stepping outside in all your glory. You were stunning, he would be a fool to ever deny you of that fact.
“Hey, you look beautiful.” Hyunjin greeted you and hopped off the hood, approaching your figure with a small smile plastered on his face.
“Thank you, Hyunjin.” You smiled back at the boy as he walked you to your side of the car, not letting you lift a single finger and doing everything for you.
“I was thinking of bringing you to one of my favorite bakeries, it belongs to my friend, too.” He mentioned and got into his seat, turning the engine of the car on and reversing to pull out of the parking spot.
“Really? Which friend is it?” You questioned in curiosity. “Do I know them?”
“Yeah, you do. It’s Felix! He runs a bakery-library fusion with his sister and they’re both insanely talented. I wouldn’t be surprised if they ended up making chains so there’s more than one location to their bakery.” Hyunjin praised them and leaned back in his seat, one hand placed on the steering wheel and the other rested on the middle armrest.
“Thanks for agreeing to hang out with me today, by the way. It was last minute too.” He laughed tensely, but all you did was shake your head.
“Oh, it’s nothing! I’d take any chance I get to leave my dorm, to be honest. I try my best to not be as much of a homebody as I was before. I’d like to think that I’m improving!” You grinned proudly and thought back to the days when you would reject every outing to go out because you didn’t want to leave the comfort of your own home. You shuddered.
No wonder why you were so prone to gloominess back then.
“Yeah, you are. I’m proud. You used to hate going out on consecutive days and now you do it almost every day.”
“I was so boring back then.”
“Don’t say that, you were perfect. You still are.” Hyunjin coughed and cleared his throat awkwardly as you blushed at his statement.
If somebody asked you three weeks ago if you would ever see yourself hanging out one-on-one with Hyunjin ever again, you would have laughed it off and pretended to throw up, but here you were. Reminiscing with someone who made your heart crumble into pieces back in high school. How funny.
You don’t do anything to stop your friendship from growing, though. You’ve come to accept that it was going to happen sooner or later. You just wish that you knew what was going on in his mind when the two of you broke up, but it doesn’t seem like that’s going to be something you know about any time soon, so you forced yourself to push those thoughts away and just focus on building new memories rather than focusing on the past.
Forgive and forget, right? You didn’t even know what to forgive him for.
“Hyunjin.”
“Yeah?”
“Why did we break up?”
Silence.
You looked over your shoulder to look at him, but all there was, was a distant expression on his face. He chewed on his lip before exhaling quietly.
“You know why we broke up.”
“No, I want to know what YOU think is the reason why we broke up.” You corrected yourself to clarify it for him, as he stole a glance from you for a moment before his eyes glued back onto the road.
“Okay. I’ll tell you in the bakery, just not while we’re still on the road, okay?” He spoke quietly and you nodded.
Your heartbeat picked up its pace, blood rushing all throughout your body. You felt hot. Nervous. You were finally about to figure out Hyunjin’s side of the story after years of being oblivious to it.
Maybe, just maybe, things could go back to the way they were.
Hyunjin hadn’t expected to have given into you so easily. Yet, he did. He made up his mind at that moment and told himself he was going to tell you everything today.
He has spent the last few weeks mentally preparing himself for this conversation, and he expected to have everything he thought happened in the past, disproved by you.
He was ready to swallow his pride and apologize for misunderstanding everything, and he was even ready to ask for another chance. Beg you, if he had to.
“Have you dated anyone else since we broke up?” Hyunjin questioned in curiosity as you stopped to think about it.
“Mmm… I have. It was never an official relationship though.” You decided to mention it just so it wouldn’t cause any problems if it were brought up in the future. “How about you? Have you dated anybody? And no, hooking up doesn’t count.”
Hyunjin chuckled at what you said before then shook his head. “Nah, I haven’t dated anyone. It was only flings and hook-ups. You know, the usual fuckboy shit.” He shrugged indifferently.
“You fucking sex addict!”
“Hey, you enjoyed it when we were together though.”
“Ew shut up.”
“Yes ma’am!”
The two of you bickered jokingly before bursting out into laughter. The atmosphere inside the car was light and the tension that once took its place between you two had faded away. You had almost forgotten how fun it was to be around Hyunjin, so you were glad that you were able to experience this side of him again.
No facades.
“And here we are! Tadaa! Young Books Bakery!” Hyunjin spoke in a sing-songy tone, parking his car right in front of his friend’s business.
“Young Books Bakery?” You couldn’t help but laugh at the wordplay, “How clever.”
“Thanks, I helped him with it.” He grinned at you and turned his key to turn the car off before taking it out.
“Of course you did, it’s so corny.”
“Hey! That’s not very nice.” Hyunjin pouted and got out of the car to help you on the other side.
Opening your car for you, he teases, “Hurry up shortie,” and you raise an eyebrow at him in response, stepping out of the car while he closes it behind you.
“Oh so now we’re lying?” You crossed your arms at him and stuck your tongue out.
“I’m not lying. You’re short to me.” He smirked at you and poked your cheek before dragging you along to enter Felix’s bakery.
As soon as Hyunjin opened the door for you, the sweet aroma of all the baked goods filled your nostrils and you could feel your mouth watering in response.
“Holy shit! It smells like heaven in here!” You exclaimed giddily as you walked in like a kid in a candy store, Hyunjin following close behind with fond eyes.
“Y/N!! Hyunjin!! Hey guys welcome in!” A deep voice spoke from behind one of the bookshelves as he peeked his head out, revealing himself with a toothy smile.
“Felix hi!!! This place looks amazing!” You clapped as you admired your surroundings and the decor around the room.
The place was warm and cozy, furnished with soft sofas, bean bags, hammock chairs, and a lot of pillows. A LOT.
Bookshelves covered the walls from the floor to the ceiling and there was always a splash of color, no matter where you looked. The cashier counter was located in the very back of the place, with a few of the baked goods on display for everybody to see. There was soft and quiet music playing in the background, but it was so subtle that you were barely able to notice it. The place was lively, and honestly, you could see yourself coming here much more often.
“Thank you! You can go ahead and look around, just let me know when you want to order anything from the bakery! Or you could just chill here too, I don’t mind!” Felix encouraged you to explore the place more before going back to organizing the bookshelf he was working on.
“Go ahead, I’ll come back to you but I gotta talk to Felix real quick, okay? It won’t take long, I promise.” Hyunjin patted your head before ushering you off and walking towards Felix.
“Hey, bro.”
“Hey, Hyunjinnnnie~ Taking Y/N out on a date I see? We’re so proud!” Felix smirked and nudged his side, gaining a groan from the taller boy.
“My fucking palms are sweating bro. I told her I was going to tell her my side of the story in here.” Hyunjin whispered as the other boy chuckled.
“You ARE gonna go through with it, aren’t you? You can’t just say you’re gonna do something and NOT do it, y’know?”
“Yeah yeah, I’m doing it. I just hope she won’t judge me for being insecure in the past. I’ve obviously thought about it a lot in the past four years, and I never actually saw her cheat. I just… assumed. I was scared and threatened by the guy she was talking to. I’ve never seen her so close with another guy that it broke something in me.” Hyunjin sighed and ruffled his hair back as Felix shook his head.
“She wouldn’t. You know she wouldn’t, just trust her AND trust yourself.“
“Thanks Felix, I knew I could talk to you. Now wish me luck.”
Walking away from him, he made his way to you, who was indulged in a book that you picked out. You decided to sit on one of the beanbags, and your entire body was sunken into the cushion.
Hyunjin admired how you looked so comfortable and cute, even if you were practically doing nothing.
“Hey I’m back, did you wanna eat anything? I’ll pay.” He offered and took a seat on the beanbag next to yours, the soft cushion molding to his figure.
“I’m not really hungry right now, but thank you for asking anyway!” You declined the offer but put the book down on the coffee table in front of you to face towards him.
“Soooo?”
“So what?”
“Your side of the story, silly. You can start wherever you’d like, I’m all ears!” You flashed him a smile and he returned one to you nervously.
This was REALLY happening.
“Well okay. I was hoping you’d forget about it.” He playfully teased and you giggled, rolling your eyes.
Urging him to continue with your hand movements, he opens his mouth to finally get the burden off of his chest, only to be interrupted by the chimes above the entrance door.
Hyunjin’s eyes break contact with yours as his pupils travel to the person to just entered, his back straightening and his face morphing into one of discomfort.
“Hyunjin?” You tapped his shoulder in concern as he managed to stutter out, “I uh.. Sorry for getting distracted..” He mumbles and presses his lips together, forming a thin line.
His actions made you confused. Who walked in to get him so tense? You turned around to see who it was, and to your surprise, it was Beomgyu who walked in with another guy beside him. He looks familiar.
They weren’t looking in your direction yet as they hadn’t noticed that you were there, so you turned back around and placed your hand on Hyunjin’s shoulder, offering a reassuring smile.
Successfully grabbing his attention, he looks back down to your face and smiles as best as he can, even if it is strained. His eyes flicker back up, and unfortunately for him, he makes eye contact with the pair that had just walked in.
Fuck.
“No way. Is that THE Hwang Hyunjin from high school?” A voice, tinted with disdain, broke the tension in the air, but at the same time, it felt as if the tension was at an all-time high right now. You didn’t recognize the voice immediately, but you felt it in your gut that you knew him, or at least had met him before.
You decided it was best to keep your identity hidden and not turn back around to look at them.
Hyunjin’s hand took its place on your waist as his grip tightened protectively. Eyes narrowing at the guy, Hyunjin ignored him and put his attention back onto you.
“Anyway, as I was saying.” His eyes rolled so far he could swear he was almost able to see the back of his head.
“Yo, it’s rude to ignore people y’know? Oh wait, I totally forgot you don’t care about whether you’re rude or not.” The unknown boy remarked as you heard footsteps approaching close behind you.
“Y/N?” It was Beomgyu that spoke just now, and not his friend. You had nothing against him and you didn’t want to be disrespectful, so you hesitantly looked behind you to greet him.
“Hey Gyu..!” You laughed awkwardly as the boy next to him gasped.
“Y/N! It’s been a while! Remember me?” The tone his friend chose to talk to you with was drastically different compared to the tone he chose to talk to Hyunjin with, and it confused you a bit. Your eyes landed on the familiar boy’s face as you studied his features a little longer before your eyes widened.
“Heeseung?”
“So you do remember me! It’s nice to see you again.“ Heeseung smiled at you and you smiled back, anger bubbling in Hyunjin’s stomach at the exchange.
Why did you smile at him?
“One question though, what the fuck are you doing with this jackass again? You’re better than that.” Heeseung pointed at Hyunjin who scoffed at his remark.
“Oh, I’m the jackass?” He stood up from beside you, “That’s real funny coming from you.”
“And you’re still not making any sense years later. What the fuck are you on dude? I did nothing to you and yet you did the most to me.” Heeseung snarled and pushed him back threateningly.
You and Beomgyu looked at each other in concern. While Beomgyu hated Hyunjin, he didn’t think it was worth getting into a fight with him. Violence was always a last resort to him, and that was something you both had in common.
“Heeseung we should go, let’s not cause a scene. It was good to see you Y/N.” Beomgyu grabbed his friend’s arm to pull him back as you stood up with Hyunjin and tugged his arm as well.
“Let’s sit back down, yeah? Ignore it.” You attempted to calm him down, but it was easy to tell—even from a mile away—that he was still pissed.
“Y/N, you should leave with us too. This guy is crazy.” Heeseung laughed as Beomgyu elbowed his ribs to get him to stop.
“Stop it, man.”
“What? I’m telling the truth. The motherf-“
Before he even got to finish his sentence, a strong blow to the face put him on the floor, rubbing his jaw.
Hyunjin rolled up his sleeves and approached Heeseung as you panicked and tried to hold him back, only to be shoved back down onto the beanbag.
“Fuck is wrong with you? First, you beat the living shit outta me in high school with no explanation and leave Y/N heartbroken. Now that I’m trying to protect her from getting her heart broken again, you wanna punch me?! You’re fucking mental.” Heeseung spat out and glared.
Beomgyu was quick to go to your side and check if you were okay, and thankfully you were. It wasn’t a hard shove that Hyunjin gave you. In fact, it was really gentle, and you just happened to lose your balance and fall. But it still made Hyunjin look bad.
Heeseung’s words lingered in your mind.
Hyunjin beat him up in high school?? I thought they were friends?
You decided to shrug it off for right now and focused on getting him to leave Heeseung alone. That was a topic to talk about on another day.
“Hyunjin stop, let’s just go.” You spoke up, wanting to de-escalate the situation as much as possible, but it came to no avail.
“Listen to Y/N, it’s the least you can do for not doing it years back. Asshole.” Heeseung mocked as another hit landed on his face. And another, and another.
Beomgyu pulled you back from Hyunjin to prevent any hits from accidentally landing on you, the two of you wincing with each punch thrown at Heeseung.
You couldn’t watch this anymore and you grabbed your phone to call Felix, and he immediately picks the call up.
“Hey Y/N—“ “Please come! Hyunjin is beating the fuck out of Heeseung!” “..What? Shit, okay I’m coming.”
The call ended and you were able to hear rapid footsteps coming from the back as Felix quickly rushed to the scene from the storage room, pulling Hyunjin off harshly and throwing him on the ground.
“Bro what the fuck??” Felix furrowed his eyebrows talking to his friend, looking back and forth from him to Heeseung. Hyunjin stayed quiet but his eyes fixated on you.
You made eye contact with him and frowned, shaking your head in disappointment.
Ouch.
Felix watched Hyunjin watch you to check if Heeseung was okay before sighing.
Felix knew of what he thought Heeseung did, so he couldn’t be fully mad at him for beating up. That, and because they’re best friends. Beating him up to this extent, though? It was uncalled for. He didn’t blame you for checking up on him instead of Hyunjin, but he was well aware of what this would make Hyunjin think, and it wasn’t any good.
So much for progress…
“Are you fucking serious Y/N? You’re worried about this fucker rather than me? I was right all along. You’re still the same two-faced bitch from before.” Hyunjin cursed at you, pushing back his tears, and you looked back with a mix of confusion and hurt on your face.
“Are YOU serious, Hyunjin? I don’t know what you’re on, but do I need to remind you that YOU beat Heeseung up?? He’s fucking bleeding and I’m sure as hell confident he’s gonna be bruised! Of course I’m worried about him when he didn’t even hit you ONCE!” You were baffled and hurt by his outburst, so you looked away and tended to Heeseung’s wounds instead, not wanting to even look at him.
“I always knew you two had something going on. All you did was prove me right.” Hyunjin muttered quietly under his breath. He got up and dusted himself off, heading towards the exit whilst ignoring Felix’s pleas to stay and explain everything to you instead of leaving.
“Find your own way back home. You clearly don’t need any explanation. You can forget about us being friends, too. You haven’t changed at all.” And with that, Hyunjin left.
You could feel the tears welling up in your eyes, but you blinked them away so it made it look like you were unbothered.
“I’ll get the first aid kit from the back.” Felix rubbed your back before standing up to fetch some ointment and bandages.
“What were you doing with him?” Heeseung questioned as you dabbed his bleeding lip with his shirt.
“He was going to explain his side of the story of what happened in high school since we were on good terms again. I’m sorry, I don’t know why he did this. I didn’t even know he did it before.” You sighed sadly as he shook his head.
“It’s not your fault, he’s an ass. He just started hating me for no damn reason.” Heeseung laughed a little and sat up straight, fixing his posture.
“You look really pretty today. Say, after we clean him up, let’s all hang out! Let’s invite Ayen too! It’d be a waste to go back home after wearing a stunning outfit.” Beomgyu tried to brighten the mood, and it worked out as you giggled and Heeseung nodded.
“I didn’t know you knew Heeseung, how come you never mentioned it? He was the other person in the trio that me and Ayen are in.” He asked you with curious eyes.
“Ah, we weren’t that close! We talked like maybe once or twice outside of class, and that’s pretty much it. Excluding a partner project we had to do together.” You explained as Beomgyu hummed in acknowledgment.
“I’m back with the kit!”
“Thank you, Lix!”
“No problem Y/Nnie! Sorry about Hyunjin, I’ll make sure to talk to him.”
“Thanks, Felix. Okay, I’ll add you to the group chat and you text Ayen that we’ll pick him up.” Beomgyu took out his phone to add you to the group, and you took yours out as well.
~
“He WHAT?!” Jeongin spat his drink out in the car.
The four of you were driving somewhere without a destination in mind, and you had just finished telling Jeongin everything that went down, making sure not to miss any important details.
“Watch the seats! But yeah, your friend is insane dude. Tell him to watch it and stop getting into fights.” Beomgyu sighed as Jeongin facepalmed, Hyunjin’s fucking everything up. He thought to himself.
“Yeah, not only did he beat me up, I heard him call our sweet Y/N the word that rhymes with pitch,” Heeseung added on, and you couldn’t help but laugh at him avoiding saying bitch out of respect.
“What the fuck??? Man, I don’t know what’s up with him. No wonder why he was in a bad mood when he got home.”
“Yeah well, It’s whatever. What matters now is that we have fun together!” You changed the topic and cheered, as the three other boys in the car joined you in the cheering.
~
The loud knocking came from the other side of Hyunjin’s bedroom door, and he couldn’t help but hope it was you coming back for him, but he knew that wasn’t the usual way you would knock. So he kept his head buried in his pillow.
“Come in.”
He heard the door creak open and close, the person sitting down on his desk next to the bed.
“Care to explain what the fuck happened?” Jeongin had a hint of irritation in his voice, and Hyunjin was able to detect it. Sighing, he rolls over to lie on his back and stares up at the ceiling.
“She chose Heeseung over me. Like before.” His voice cracked as he sniffled, nose red.
Jeongin stared at the boy’s face, noticing his red and puffy eyes.
“You’re so stupid. You beat Heeseung up and he didn’t fight back. Didn’t even attempt to. Of course she would check up on him instead of you.” Jeongin scolded and folded his arms over his chest. “Is he the guy you think she cheated on you with?”
“I don’t think she cheated, I KNOW she cheated.”
“Shut up, no you don’t. You don’t know she cheated because she DIDN’T, stop fucking accusing her of it when you don’t know her side of the story.” Jeongin defended you in a heartbeat, gradually getting more and more annoyed.
“You don’t know my side either!” Hyunjin exclaimed and glared at the boy next to him.
“I don’t need to, I’m smart enough to put two and two together, and you couldn’t be any more wrong.” Jeongin’s volume increased the more he talked. “You hurt two of my closest friends in one day. One physically and one emotionally. I was willing to help you figure all this shit out because you’re also one of my close friends, but I fucking refuse to let you hurt them, not for the third time. You’ve already hurt them in the past, and you’ve done it again today in the same way you did it before. The same two people that have done NOTHING to you. All because you can’t communicate your thoughts and feelings, people are getting hurt. And so are you, Hyunjin.” Jeongin was yelling at this point, and he was sure he caught the attention of everybody else under the same roof, or maybe even the neighbors.
“Don’t ever call my best friend a two-faced bitch ever again, I mean it. You’re out here telling Y/N that she hasn’t changed, but have you ever stopped to look in the fucking mirror? Or, I don’t know, step back and see that maybe, JUST MAYBE, she hasn’t changed because she hasn’t done anything wrong in the first place? Don’t expect me to help you with the shit you have going on anymore. You really fucked it up this time.” Jeongin got up from the desk and opened Hyunjin’s bedroom door, only to find Felix, Changbin, Minho, and Chan all listening in.
They all, except Felix, looked at him with a questioning look, one that asked ‘What the hell happened?’ But Jeongin did nothing but shrug it off.
“Ask the crying piece of shit over there. I’m staying over at Han’s place for a while. If you need me, I’ll be there.”
a/n: this one’s a little short guys I APOLOGIZE. also, yes i know ayen, gyu, and heeseung are 01 liners but i changed their ages to be 03 liners instead to match the storyline better😋

Hii! I'm not sure what your requests rules are or what ur comfterable with, but I'd really like to see a tsukishima x reader where he confesses to the reader! I'd love to see your interpretation of it >-<
After Class- Tsukishima Kei
a/n: HIIII of course I'll give you some tsukki x reader, hope I did him justice <333 as for requests I'll write for any haikyuu boy as long as it's sfw! requests open xx
wc: 0.8k
(gif not mine)
You had loosely known Tsukishima all year now, as you shared the same class and often found yourselves sitting by each other and pairing up for assignments. It was no secret that he was intelligent, but you could hold your own despite how intimidating he could sometimes be.
Recently, you had been making quite the effort to see him outside of class, though you weren't quite sure he had gotten the hint. You had been coming to his games, talking to him more in class, and you even altered your route to school to intersect with his. He hadn't been receptive, though, and if anything could be considered your enemy, it might be those damn headphones.
You had one last idea, though. Sitting next to him in your last class of the day, you tapped him on the shoulder.
"Hm?"
"Hey, um, you mind staying after class for a few to help me out with this problem on my math homework? I'm so lost..."
"Oh, yeah. Sure. I have some time before practice."
"Thank you," You returned to your work, now unable to focus. You know you were the one who asked him to stay, but the idea of being alone with him after class made your stomach turn.
Soon enough, the bell had rung, and you had gotten absolutely nowhere on your work. The class cleared out until it was just you and Tsukishima. He pulled his chair closer to share your desk as you got out your math homework. You handed it to him and he skimmed it over, the silence between you almost deafening.
"Mm, wait, what is it that you don't get?" He asked, puzzled.
"Uh, the last one."
"But you did the whole sheet correctly. You just wrote out the equation and didn't solve it on the last one."
Oh God, I guess you didn't think this far. How could you be so dumb? A perfect sheet of homework didn't exactly scream that you needed help. You made up the best excuse you could, "Yeah, but I looked back at it after the lesson and I just don't even remember how to do it...can you show me?"
"Sure.." he picked up a pencil and took the problem step by step, mumbling an explanation under his breath. At one point, he looked up and saw your eyes fixed on him. You could've sworn there was a peak of blush, but he looked back down at the sheet before you could get a good look. "There, uh, does that make more sense?"
"Yes, it's perfect. Thank you..."
"No problem," He hesitated, as if he was about to say something else but was held back, "You've been coming to my games, right?"
"Oh, yes! I've kinda been getting into the sport..."
"Are you coming tomorrow, too?"
"Do you want me to?"
That caught him off guard, a flash of fear in his eyes, "Uh- well, sure." He looked at his phone quickly for the time and began to frantically pack up, "Shoot, I'm about to be late. I guess I'll see you tomorrow."
"Sorry to keep you!" You were upset with yourself for having kept him so long, "Good luck at practice!"
And at that moment your heart nearly skipped a beat when you saw him swallow before answering, "thanks."
He walked out the door and you were left practically with your jaw dropped. You packed up quickly and went to your locker to put your homework away.
You were once again filled with anxiety upon hearing familiar voices down the hall.
"She WHAT? And you don't think she really needed help-" Yamaguchi's voice squeaked through the hall, having not noticed you yet. You glance down the hallway and see Tsushima talking to him, Tsukki's back facing you. Was he really talking about you?
Yamaguchi continued, "Dude you need to go back before she-" he clasped his hands over his mouth, finally noticing your presence down the hall.
Tsukishima turned around to see you standing there, his face completely flushed. Yamaguchi pushed him towards you quickly before running off to avoid whatever Tsukishima might do to him when he catches him.
There you were, standing alone facing your nearly-190-centimeter crush. He turned around to watch Yamaguchi dart off. He sighed, and turned back to face you, walking towards you.
"Y/n?"
You turned to him, closing your locker. "Yes?"
"You're not dumb. Obviously. You didn't need my help back there. And so I won't pretend you didn't just hear that."
You were absolutely speechless.
"Do you like me, y/n?"
"I- uh..."
"Because I like you." He grew more anxious as you delayed to respond, "is that okay?"
"Yes!" The word burst out of you, "More than okay."

Hi!! I really like your writing 💖💖 and I was wondering if you could write a fic about Peter and his s/o that always bickers with him?
-🪼
Shut her up with a kiss
Summary: When Y/n won't stop arguing with her boyfriend, Peter, he has an idea on how to get her to stop.
Word count: 839
A/n~ Hiiiiii! Thank you, I try my best to write good fics for my followers and random internet geeks! I love this request but I wasn't sure if you meant Parker or Pevensie. I'm assuming Pevensie? Correct me if I'm wrong and I'll make you a new fic! I'm sorry if this isn't what you had in mind, I genuinely have no idea how a couple would bicker seeing as I've been single since I came out the womb.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/719d88364a5e0f9a8fceff76e9ceac39/b82ff9ee1ae9f960-01/s540x810/db2cee74f1df3098e821509816e986b1c122e162.jpg)
"Hey, Ed." Peter nods to Edmund as they pass each other, Edmund on his way to train and Peter on his way to the library.
Edmund nods back to him and continues on his way, but before he can get too far, he remembers something. "Oh! Y/n's looking for you, Peter... Good luck." With that, Edmund runs off to train, his evil giggles filling the halls.
"PETER!!!" Y/n's yell echoes through the halls as she turns the corner, looking for the blonde king. "There you are!" She walks up to him angrily, every step she takes makes Peter feel as though he's shrinking.
"What?" Peter looks at her confused as he tries to hold in any fear he feels at the angry look in Y/n's eyes.
"What? Did you just say what?" Her skin grows hot as her annoyance rises. "You ate all of my chocolate and you have the nerve to say 'what'?"
"I didn't even eat you chocolate!" Peter tries to defend himself.
"Then who did?!" Y/n pokes at Peter's chest just as Lucy, mouth dirtied with melted chocolate bits, passes behind Y/n. Peter aggressively points his finger to Lucy but Y/n turns too late, Lucy and his freedom gone.
"Don't try to distract me, Pevensie."
Last name basis? It was nice knowing you Peter...
Y/n grabs him by his shirt collar and pushes him against the wall they were next to.
"Why did you eat it?" Y/n asks almost boredly.
"I-I didn't!" Peter struggles to speak clearly, his and Y/n's faces so close that he can't focus properly. His eyes drop to her lips and she notices, a smirk playing on her lips.
"You want a kiss?" She asks and Peter nods immediately and almost too enthusiastically.
Y/n leans in slowly and Peter can feel her breath against his lips. Y/n's lips just barely graze over Peter's before she pulls away with a small laugh. Peter lets out a whine of protest as he tries to find her lips again, the short brush of their lips not enough for him.
"Too bad. If you hadn't eaten my chocolate, I might have considered." Y/n lets go of him and walks off as Peter stares after her, slightly upset.
***
"PETER MOTHERFUCKING PEVENSIE!!!"
"Ah shit, what now?"
"You didn't cuddle me last night! How could you?" Y/n pouts and crosses her arms over her chest.
"That's seriously what this is about? I'm in the middle of a meeting." Peter jesters to all of the fellow "important people" in the room.
Y/n waves to them with an awkward smile and then turns back to Peter. "These old dudes don't care-"
"I'm only 26-"
"Shhhh, no one cares. Anywho, you owe me Pete. I'm not okay with this."
"Yeah, yeah. See you later, alright?"
Y/n nods and walks out of the room, still the slightest bit annoyed with her boyfriend.
***
"I'm boredddd." Y/n whines as she tugs at her boyfriend's sleeve.
"I'm working, I should be the bored one." Peter smiles softly at his girlfriend's antics.
"I'm working nyeh nyeh nyeh." Y/n mumbles under her breath, mocking Peter.
"What was that?" Peter leans his ear closer to her.
"What was that?" Y/n does the same.
"Stop that." Peter rolls his eyes.
"Stop that." Y/n says back, deepening her voice.
"...Peter Pevensie is hot."
"..."
"Oh come on!"
"Oh come on!"
"Stop it, seriously." Peter looks at Y/n sternly.
"You're no fun." Y/n huffs and plops back into her chair.
"I'm very fun. Wanna see how fun I can be?" Peter looks at Y/n with a mischievous glint in his eyes.
"No."
"Don't act like that. Come onnnnn." It's Peter's turn to whine and tugs on her arm.
"No. You ate my chocolate, didn't cuddle me, you've been spending more time with those stupid pieces of paper than you have with me, and you aren't entertaining me while I'm bored! Where's the receipt, I'm returning you." Y/n starts rummaging through her pockets as Peter rolls his eyes at her with a fond smile on his face.
"You siriusly want a kiss?" Y/n asks in disbelief.
Peter nods, not having been able to kiss his girlfriend for two weeks because of her attitude lately.
"Well I don't. I'm still sad about my ch-"
"Oh shut up already." Peter says before he smashes his lips on hers.
The kiss is everything that Peter had been longing for as he places his hands on Y/n's waist. Y/n Is quite tense as first, not wanting to kiss him out of stubbornness, but she slowly begins to melt into it when he places his hands on her waist.
The both pull apart for air after a moment, resting their foreheads against each other's.
"I'm sorry if I've upset you lately." Peter says, his lips brushing Y/n's as he speaks.
"It's okay." Y/n says quickly before going in for another kiss.

————————————————————————-
Summary: Flashback. The story of how you and Joe came to be. Years before marriage and your little family.
Warnings: none, fluff
Pairing: Joe Burrow x reader
Imagine universe: Beginning of… Into The Mystic
A/N: Joe is a senior in high school and you are a junior. It's your first year at Athens HS! Also, most of these students' names are made up.
————————————————————————-
August, 2014
(Joe’s pov)
“Yo! Joey!” - Zach
I turned around to see one of my best friends running up to me.
“First day of senior year!” - Zach
“Yup! Just think about it, we’re like the big dogs now.” - Joe
“Ya know it. I heard that there's this really hot new chick coming from Kentucky.” - Zach
“Well, I don't want any part of that. I've got enough going on with football and schoolwork. Don't be surprised if my next girlfriend is in college.” - Joe
“Damn dude, that was pretty forward. You haven't even seen her yet. This could be your Juliette, Romeo!” - Zach
“I highly doubt it.” - Joe
We rounded the corner to find a few more of the football guys and a few of their girlfriends with them.
“Yeah, her name is y/n.” - Cassidy
“Who is?” - Joe
After making my presence known, Cassidy turned around and rolled her eyes at the sight of me.
“Dude, what was that for?” - Joe
“Shoo, Joe.” - Cassidy
“What, why?” - Joe
“Because I'd rather you leave than explain that we have a new girl just to hear you say you're focusing on football.” - Cassidy
“She’s got a point.” - Zach
“Who's side are you on?” - Joe rolled his eyes
Before Zach could answer, the bell rang, telling us to head to first period.
The group disbanded, and when everyone else went in the direction of the same classroom, I realized I was probably going to be alone in this class.
My first period was chemistry, and sadly, the teacher was notorious for a boy-girl seating chart.
I walked upstairs and found the room. When I walked in, everyone was in their seats already.
Looking for my name attached to a seat number on the board, I found it and then went on trying to find it.
The tables were for two people, and in the back corner where my table was, I saw that a girl was already occupying the other seat.
She was pretty, I won't lie, but I'd never seen her before.
The girl was looking down at her schedule when I sat my stuff down on the table, causing her to look up at me.
A warm smile spread across her lips, and I found myself studying her face a little too long.
“Hi.” - Joe
“Hey.” - you
I sat down next to her, my mind trying to come up with a conversation.
“Enjoying your first day so far?” - Joe
“Yeah, pretty well, you?” - you
“Same. Other than my friend’s girlfriend being rude to me for no reason.” - Joe
She laughed. It was one of the cutest laughs I've ever heard, and it was infectious too.
“I'm sure you didn't deserve it.” - you
“Thank you! I walked up to them, and she just rolled her eyes at me.” - Joe
“Dang man, she has beef with you.” - you
“That's what I'm sayin’. I don't know what I've ever done to her, though.” - Joe
“Ask her.” - you shrugged
“Nah, I don't care that much. Why am I even telling you this?” - Joe
“I don't know.” - you laughed
There's that laugh again.
“I just started unloading on you, huh? Well, I haven't seen you before so tell me about yourself.” - Joe
“Well, I'm a junior, so that's probably why. I'm not that interesting though. I strive for good grades, and I do gymnastics with a side of dance.” - you
“Oh really? I play football.” - Joe
“That's cool.” - you smiled
“Yeah, I’m feeling really good about this season, I just know it's gonna be great.” - Joe
“Well, I wish you luck.” - you
“I appreciate that, and you too. Hope gymnastics goes well.” - Joe
“Thank you.” - you smiled
Before the conversation could go further, the teacher started talking about what we should expect in this class. The teacher didn't stop me and my new seat buddy from talking, though.
As we talked longer, I realized we had a lot in common. I wouldn't be lying if I said she was the first girl I've talked to about Star Wars.
She was really fun, though, and easy to talk to.
Our conversation lasted till the bell rang, and we both sheepishly smiled when we realized that we'd been loudly talking in a quiet classroom.
I stood up and started packing my things. She did the same. The rest of the students were filing out of the room when we both put our backpacks on, seemingly in sync.
“I… I’m Joe, by the way. Joe Burrow, but most call me Joey.” - Joe
“It was nice talking to you, Joey. I'm y/n.” - you
She shook my hand and walked out of the door, leaving me shocked.
y/n… new hot girl from Kentucky.
After talking to her, it felt wrong to refer to her in that way. She was really pretty, but hot isn't a word I like to use when referring to girls.
I hope I have more classes with her. Woah, what am I saying?!
Focus on football, Joe.
——
Sadly, I didn't have any more classes with y/n, but I thankfully had friends in all my other classes.
I had lunch B, and most of my football buddies were in there, but I found myself zoning out while trying to look around the room for her.
Ever since the bell rang in chemistry, I haven't stopped thinking about y/n. It was becoming a slight problem, but it seemed like all I wanted was to go to chemistry tomorrow and talk to her.
After school ended, the football team stayed after school since we had our first home game the same day.
Hours later, we were suited up and ready to go out and stretch.
When we ran out and took the field as the senior quarterback, I was naturally the one leading the pack, but my eyes drifted toward the sideline.
One of the cheerleaders was flipping while the others were in stunts, but when she landed her last trick and posed, I gasped lightly when I saw who it was.
y/n.
That's how Cassidy knew her name! She’s a cheerleader!
“Joe! Where are you going?” - Zach
The sound of my teammate yelling snapped me out of my daydream, and I realized that when the rest of the team stopped running to stretch, I kept going because all I was paying attention to was y/n.
“Oh.” - Joe
I turned around and ran to where I was supposed to be, but when I turned around, y/n was smiling at me. I smiled back.
——
We ended up winning the game, which is always amazing, but even better since it was our home opener.
After walking back into the locker room to hear what the coaches had to say, I showered and packed up to find my parents.
I wasn't at all surprised when most of the cheerleaders were standing outside waiting. Most of their boyfriends were players, so they'd wait after for them.
My eyes landed on my parents and brothers, but as I was walking in their direction, I heard a familiar voice calling for me.
“Joe!” - you
I turned in the direction of the voice to see y/n speedwalking over to me with a smile on her face.
“Hey, y/n.” - Joe smiled
“Hey, you did well! I knew you said you played football but I wasn't expecting that. You're super good.” - you
Is it hot out here all of a sudden? Why is my face heating up?
“Thanks. You're really good too. I know those flips are hard to do. You make it look effortless.” - Joe
“Thanks… sorry I distracted you though.” - you
“Not your fault, I just wasn't expecting to see you. You look uh… good, by the way.” - Joe
“You too.” - you giggled
Just as I was about to say something else, I heard my mom's voice calling for me.
“Sorry, that's my mom. I gotta go.” - Joe
“It's all good. See you in chem?” - you
“See you in chem.” - Joe
As I walked away from her, I felt something I'd never felt before.
Oh no.
——
Next Day
It was Friday and lunchtime.
All my teammates were feeling good after the win yesterday, and sure, I was too, but that wasn't what was on my mind.
This morning in chemistry, I found myself lost in a conversation with y/n again. The disappointment when the bell rang was insane. I never wanted to stop talking to her.
She was just different.
The attention she got from other guys was because of her looks, and she was pretty, gosh, she was pretty… but I didn't like being around her for that.
We had a lot in common and never ran out of things to talk about. She listened to what I had to say and gave great feedback. We talked about our futures and what we wanted to be when we graduated.
I told her about my hopes of going to the league, and what she replied with gave me a flutter in my stomach that I'd never felt before.
“If you make it to the NFL, you have to invite me to come see you.”
I’d known this girl for two days and I was already ready to make that promise.
My mind was so stuck on that altercation that I didn't hear Zach talking to me from across the table.
“Joe? Joe!” - Zach
I flinched slightly and looked up at him, all the guys at the table watching me with weird looks on their faces.
“Sorry… I spaced out.” - Joe
“Anyway, Cassidy told me that y/n was asking about you at their lunch.” - Zach
“What? What'd she ask?” - Joe
Should my heart be beating this fast?
“Asked if you had a girlfriend, I guess. Don't worry, though, Cas told her that you're focusing on football.” - Zach
“Oh. Okay.” - Joe
Is that really what I want?
“She’s so funny to tease.” - Chad
“Seriously, she's got cheerleader brain.” - Max
Why are they talking about her like that??
“I gotta go.” - Joe
I stood up from the lunch table, quickly finding a trashcan and throwing my stuff away before walking out of the lunch room.
“What’s his problem?” - Max
“I don't know, bro.” - Chad
Zach knew because he was right. What he told me yesterday was haunting me.
Romeo, this could be your Juliette.
——
My thoughts ran wild as I went to the office and asked to do some volunteer work.
The receptionist gave me the okay to go down to the middle school for the remainder of the lunch period.
I drove over to the middle school and went up to the office, clicking the button to signal the office worker that I was out there.
When the door unlocked I was able to open it. I did, and whose eyes I met surprised me.
“y/n?” - Joe
“Oh, hey Joe.” - you
“What are you doing here?” - Joe
“Gonna head to a class to volunteer, I have a free period right now. Aren't you supposed to be in lunch?” - you
“Well, yeah, but I had to get out of there.” - Joe
“Why’s that?” - you
Her brows were furrowed like she could hear the slight edge in my voice.
“Some of the guys were saying stuff about you, kinda pissed me off, so I left.” - Joe
“What? You left because of that? I’m used to it, Joe. I'm just a dumb cheerleader.” - you
“You're not, though, that's why I didn't want to listen to it. I've only known you for two days, but I look forward to every conversation we share. They don't know you as I do.” - Joe
y/n placed a hand on my shoulder and smiled at me. Her eyes gave off a grateful look.
“You're the first person who’s made attempts to get to know me, and I appreciate it.” - you
“Not even your teammates?” - Joe
“I love ‘em, but they're not the Star Wars type like you are.” - you
“Yeah… I'm pretty cool like that.” - Joe
“Oh, whatever!” - you rolled your eyes
We laughed with each other before the receptionist cleared her throat. Both y/n and I froze when we realized where we were.
“Oh, sorry!” - you
“You guys can both go to room 379 if you’d like, seems like you two have a spark.” - receptionist
I rubbed the back of my neck nervously, but y/n smiled at the older lady and walked through the double doors into the building.
There weren't any words shared between us as we walked to the room, both of us were thinking about what the woman had said. Do we have a spark?
——
Ten minutes into hanging out with the sixth graders, the teacher sent y/n and me to the copy room.
“Hey, have you thought about formal?” - Joe
“What about it?” - you
Winter formal wasn't coming until December, obviously, but I felt the need to ask.
“Like are you going? Date ideas?” - Joe
“I figured I'd go, yeah. I don't know who I'm gonna go with, though. Might just go with friends, the guys here aren't the best.” - you
“Ouch.” - Joe
“Hey, I don't count you with them. You’re separate.” - you
“I think that's good.” - Joe
“It is. You're a jock, but a nice one, you know? I like you.” - you
My face dropped as I looked at her, feeling my cheeks flush and my stomach flop.
“Not in that way!” - you rushed to say
“Oh… okay.” - Joe
“Why do you act disappointed? I thought you weren't looking for anything and focusing on football.” - you
“I don't know. I thought I was, but you're making it hard to.” - Joe
“What does that mean?” - you
“I barely know you, but I can't stop thinking about you. You understand me in a way I didn't think was possible… you're just different.” - Joe
“I feel the same way about you. You're nerdy but athletic and have these quirks that I'm obsessed with. You're oddly the guy version of me.” - you
“Nah, you're the girl version of me.” - Joe
“Oh, whatever!” - you shoved his chest
I'm feeling a little bold after she told me she can't stop thinking about me either. Should I make a little move?
“You look cute when you do that. You roll your eyes at me but are smiling.” - Joe
“Oh, uh. Thanks.” - you blushed
“You're welcome.” - Joe smiled
——
October, 2014
That's as far as we went talking about it.
Nothing ever came from that one conversation we shared at the middle school. That's the closest thing we ever did that could come close to showing feelings for one another.
We just continued being really good friends who giggle in the back of the chemistry room, but the eye contact we make while I'm on the field and she’s on the sidelines tells me there's something there.
In the past two months, I've concluded that no matter how hard I try to deny it, I have a crush on y/n.
I just don't know how to act on it.
She still thinks that I don't want a relationship right now, so I need to start dropping hints.
The first step of my plan was to ask her to study with me after school, like at my house.
So, when I walked into chemistry this morning, I had that idea in the back of my head.
“Hey.” - Joe smiled
“Morning.” - you smiled back
I sat my stuff down and took my seat next to her.
“I need to ask you something.” - you
“Oh, what's that?” - Joe
“They haven't announced it yet, but I won junior attendant for homecoming.” - you
“Really?! That's awesome!” - Joe
“Yeah, thanks. We have to have a guy from the football team be our escort…” - you
“And you want me to ask someone for you?” - Joe
She looked at me with a “boy, please” look on her face that made me laugh.
“I'm just playing. I'd love to walk you.” - Joe
“Okay, good. Thanks, Joey.” - you
“Mhm. When will you find out who won Hoco Queen?” - Joe
“Not till the game, but if I win, you’ll get a little crown too.” - you
“I get a crown too?? Now you have to win.” - Joe
“I'll try my hardest. You have to help my campaign, though.” - you
“Sounds like a deal.” - Joe smiled
——
Later that week, I met up with y/n during my lunch period and her free period. I helped her campaign, and when she wasn't around, I convinced the football team to vote for her.
I wanted to make sure she'd win.
——
“Junior attendant, y/n y/l/n, escorted by Joey Burrow.”
The announcer’s voice beamed through the speakers as we walked down the middle of the football field. My arm was looped with y/n’s, and I shortened my strides with the length of her heals in mine.
I hadn't seen her till she walked out and looped her arm with mine, but she looked so beautiful.
“You look gorgeous.” - Joe whispered
“Thank you.” - you blushed
We smiled for the camera when we reached the end of the field, and y/n gently squeezed my arm when we walked over and stood in our directed spot.
“You don't look too bad yourself.” - you
Our conversation was drowning out the announcer’s voice, who was reading the short paragraph that y/n wrote a couple of days ago. She'd made me proofread it so many times that I had it practically memorized.
“y/n would like to thank her parents and friends, especially her best friend, who is escorting her tonight.”
That part was new.
My cheeks heated up when I looked down at y/n to see her already smiling at me. She'd never come out and said that I was her best friend, but I couldn't say it didn't make sense.
“Surprise.” - you nudged him
“I'm your best friend, huh?” - Joe
“Yeah.” - you smiled
“You're mine too.” - Joe
“No way!” - you pushed Joe’s chest
“Don't tell Zach I said that, though.” - Joe
Her smile was infectious, and I felt my lips mirror y/n’s expression.
The announcer went on to introduce the senior attendant and read her little background story.
“Now, ladies and gentlemen. Your 2014 football homecoming queen is…”
I reached my other hand up to squeeze y/n’s that was wrapped around my bicep.
“y/n y/l/n!”
“You did it! Go get your crown!” - Joe
She let go of my arm and walked back to the middle of the field.
I watched with a proud smile on my face as y/n was handed a bouquet, a sash draped over her shoulder, and the crown on her head.
There was so much adoration in my heart for her, and when she turned around to look at me, my smile only widened.
“C’mere!” - you mouthed
I slowly walked over to her, and y/n re-looped our arms.
Bowing my head slightly, the crown was put on top of it. y/n laughed at the sight of the crown adorning my forehead.
“Lemme fix that. It's kinda sideways.” - you
She stepped on her tiptoes and fixed it, a blush forming on my cheeks when her fingers brushed down my face when she pulled away.
“You look cute.” - you smiled
“Thanks.” - Joe grinned
——
December, 2014
“Hey.” - Joe
“Oh, hey.” - you
I put my stuff down and sat down in my chair, the same routine since the first day of school. Hopefully, though, today some things will change.
Or at least be set in the right direction to change.
“I need to ask you a question.” - Joe
“Shoot.” - you
“Be my date too formal?” - Joe
I looked at her with hopefulness in my eyes. Please say yes.
“I'm already going with Chad… sorry, Joe.” - you
“Oh. It's okay, I just thought… nevermind.” - Joe
My shoulders slumped as I turned away from her and faced the board, biting the insides of my cheeks nervously.
The one time I shoot my shot with a girl, and I get rejected.
Guess that tells me what my priorities should be.
Focusing on football.
——
“What do you mean Joe’s here alone?” - you
“Yeah, Zach had to practically beg him to even come. Joe said there wasn't any point in going since he didn't have a date.” - Cassidy
“That makes me feel terrible…” - you
“Why?” - Cassidy
“Because he asked me, but I'd already said yes to Chad.” - you
“It's not your fault, how were you supposed to know that Joe was gonna ask you? I mean, he isn't looking for anything right now.” - Cassidy
“Yeah… do you know where he is?” - you
“No idea. Probably hiding in a corner.” - Cassidy
“Chad literally ditched me after pictures. Joe never would've done that…” - you
A few seconds of silence between the two girls went by before Cassidy had a lightbulb moment.
“Do you have a crush on Joe?!” - Cassidy
“What?! No!” - you
“You so do! y/n you should tell him! I honestly think he feels the same way…” - Cassidy
“No… he's focusing on football.” - you sighed
“So you do like him?” - Cassidy
“Maybe…” - you
When you admitted it out loud, it felt real. You like Joe.
Joey Burrow, the quarterback with the nerdy side that only you knew of, the one with the imperfect but adorable smile, the one that made you look forward to first period, your crush.
“I'm gonna go find him.” - you
You walked as fast as your heels allowed you and threw your half-drank cup of subpar punch in the trash can, pushing open the gym doors as Tongue Tied by GROUPLOVE playing through the speakers served as a soundtrack.
Zach wasn't hard to find as a sea of letterman jackets was in the hallway.
“Where’s Joe?” - you
“Oh, hey, y/n! He said he was gonna go take a walk around.” - Zach shrugged
You nodded and walked away toward the academic wing of the school.
Only the generator lights were on, but there was enough lighting to make out that familiar tall frame looking into the trophy cases.
Carefully, so as to not scare him, you slowly walked up behind Joe and tapped his shoulder.
“Hi.” - you
“Hi.” - Joe
“Chad ditched me…” - you
“That sucks.” - Joe
He hadn't even looked up at you yet.
“I'm sorry. If I had known you were going to ask me, I wouldn't have said yes to him.” - you
“S’okay, probably for the better.” - Joe
“Why are you just walking around by yourself, Joe?” - you
“Nothing else to do. Kinda bored.” - Joe
“Wanna go see what teachers left their classrooms unlocked?” - you grinned
Joe’s eyes drifted away from the trophy case for the first time and found yours. A smile pulled at his lips as he nodded his head.
You held your hand out to him, and Joe gladly accepted, clasping his fingers with yours.
There were so many unspoken feelings shared between you two as you made your way down the hallways to find an open door.
“The chem room is open…” - Joe
You gently opened the door and pulled Joe in behind you, the lights being motion-activated turned on as you two walked in.
Joe flicked the light switch back off as the moonlight through the window lit up the room.
Making your way to your table, you and Joe sat down in your respective seats without sharing a word.
“Your dress is pretty.” - Joe
With a longing glance, you examined Joe’s hair, outfit, and shoes.
“Thanks. You look handsome.” - you
“Thanks.” - Joe smiled
A few seconds of silence went by before Joe cleared his throat, immediately getting your attention.
“Uhm… can I be honest with you?” - Joe
“Always.” - you
Here goes nothing.
“I think you're amazing. Talking to you every day makes me want to come to school, and I enjoy every word that's shared between us. You get to see a side of me that many people don't because I feel safe with you. I hope what I'm about to tell you doesn't ruin that, and you might just see me as a friend… but I like you.” - Joe
“In what way?” - you
In all honesty, you knew exactly what he meant, but you wanted to hear him say it.
“In the way that I find myself staring at you all the time because I think you're beautiful, In the way that you give me butterflies when you laugh or smile at me. You are incredible, y/n; gorgeous, smart, talented, crazy athletic, loyal, trustworthy.” - Joe
He paused for a second to scan your face for somewhat of a reaction.
“Now that I think about it, you're so out of my league.” - Joe laughed
“Go on, Joey.” - you giggled
“What I'm trying to say is… I have a crush on you, y/n.” - Joe
“Mr. ‘I'm focusing on football’ has a crush on me?!?” - you
Joe felt his stomach drop at your teasing. He'd just poured his heart out, and was thinking the worst.
“So you don't feel the same way?” - Joe
“What? I didn't say that!” - you
“So…?” - Joe
“I like you too, Joe. More than friends.” - you
“Really?” - Joe smiled
“Yeah.” - you grinned
You two sat there, no words shared, just tooth-rotting grins.
“I've never done this before… what happens next?” - Joe
“I think there's another question you need to ask me.” - you
“Oh, yeah! y/n…” - Joe
He took your hand in his, the size difference making your heart flutter for a second before you shifted your attention back to his beautiful blue eyes.
“Be my girlfriend?” - Joe finished
“I'd love to.” - you smiled
Somehow, your other hand found its way into his. Almost as if magnets were pulling your faces together, you both leaned in.
Your lips molded together so perfectly like you were each other’s missing piece.
Maybe because you guys were.
Joe would forever be grateful that he took the leap of faith and confessed to the girl that he swore was out of his league, for she would become his everything for the rest of his life.
That chemistry room is where you found your first real boyfriend, who would be your first kiss, and unbeknownst to you, you were Joe’s first real girlfriend and kiss as well.
In fact, you were each other’s first everything.
And you'd also be each other’s last.

Vox is soooo fucking hot dude
Vox as a regular romantic interest is pretty bad already, but as a yandere? He is insufferable. Of course, he will keep an eye on you wherever you go, even before you really meet him. I don't think Vox would use his powers to achieve his goal of pursuing you. It seems more that he would use it as a "last-didge" effort to secure you, but for that to occur Vox would have to be incompetent. He is anything but that.
You will fall for his charisma, his smooth voice that is so addicting to listen to, especially when he compliments you so well every chance he gets. Vox will make sure, whatever you see of him is nothing, but absolute perfection. Any show you watch starring him will be subtly be about how good of a partner he would be. A cook show where Vox creates your favourite meals. Another show talking about famous celebrities' relationships where Vox occasionally sprinkles in a "I don't know about you folks, but I can't imagine doing something like that!" when the relationship has some sort of drama to it.
I also imagine he would force some sort of meeting, assuming there is zero connection he and the other Vees have to you. Maybe he will make some low-life try robbing you and the 'oh-so' charming TV host Hell can't get enough of is there to save you. Maybe he just 'randomly' finds you sleeping in some alleyway, down on your luck, and he graciously offers you a job at his company. Or maybe he does an interview on Hell's population to see what their opinion is on the newest Voxtech.
Either way this man will find a way and have you fall for him. For the first few months he will even act the part of a loving and supportive partner. Over time though, Vox will change.
As usual Vox was monitoring the viewing charts as well as the money generated from the shows. Even though he was focused, he heard the elevator bringing someone up. No need to look, Vox knew who wanted to visit. "Hello babe," he said, still tapping away on the keyboard, "missed me that much, heh?" Giggling you hugged him from behind, "I can't hide anything from you, can I?" "No, you can't," Vox turned to you, kissing up your arm, "Mind helping me out a little here? I'm really tensed up and need some relaxing." You blush, pushing him back a little.
You wanted to tell him no, but he pulled you back with enough force to make you fall on his chair. He kissed your cheek. "Come on sweetheart, I've always been so good to you," Vox reminded you, static echoes scratchng his voice, "You should be more loving, you know." He was right. He was always so sweet to you and its time to repay the kindness. Even though it doesn't feel right, you will give in. You always will until it feels normal.
Once he knows you won't leave anymore, Vox will have outbursts in front of you. And because you are so used to his hot and cold attitude, you will find a weird mix of fear and attractiveness in his screams. Especially outbursts involving Alastor will be scary. Sometimes Vox forgets the position he is in and get rough with you. Of course, in instances like these he will apologise afterwards, but that might be the only times where the picture had so carefully painted crumbles.
If you ever decide to leave, Vox will know and put measurements to prevent it. It will be relatively successful, but once you're gone, Vox uses every available resource to secure you back. He will call everything just regular quarrel between lovers. The only sanctuary you might find is in the Hazbin Hotel, but this will lead to a smear campaign by Vox, so your stay is going to be questioned frequently.
Your chances of getting away from Vox are low and he will make sure, you realise he will forever be the better option in this godforsaken place, so be sweet and go to him willingly before he forces you to go.

A/N: “Italic” dialogue indicates it being spoken in English. “Normal” dialogue indicates it being spoken in Korean.
Shoutout to @nojisunnomercy for the commission piece, really make me and Ghost to write and go through to make a sequel to Consquences and Regrets.
~~~~~
I made you my everything. Put my life in your hands and you held the strings.
She really was your everything. Don't know who I am anymore.
Let me down every time and I hit the floor.
Even with what she did, you still forgave her back then, entrusting her not to hurt you again.
And you gave me nothing at all. Only empty excuses to try and break the fall.
Despite your forgiveness, she ended up betraying you again. So, I did what I never could to do.
And I cut myself loose from you.
If she didn’t do it… Would you still be with her?
.
.
.
“Hey!”
.
.
.
“Oi, you bastard!”
With a yell, you snap back to reality, the image of her gone from your mind, replaced by your grumpy friend, frowning at you. “The food is going to be cold if you keep staring into nothing like that.”
At that time, you put your earbuds down, and noises start to flood back into your ears. The clinking of utensils hitting each other’s and the plate. Chattering from nearby tables. Sounds of people walking and cars driving on the road.
No longer are you drowned in your own thoughts. You’re back to reality: a small café near your workplace, where you and your friend decide to have lunch.
“You can just start first you know.” You shrug. “Didn’t have to wait for me.”
“Bro, I already finished half of mine, and you haven’t even touched yours.”
“Oh.” Looking down onto the table, you barely touch your food while your friend is almost done with his.
“You know, it’s not like we are strangers or anything.” Your friend lets out a sigh. “I’m worried about you dude. You haven’t been like this since the first week that you arrived here, and that was years ago!”
“Yeah, well, you know I got cheated on by my ex, what else do you need to know?” You chuckle lightly, starting to dig into your already cold meal.
“The details! The beauty is in the details, my guy.” Your friend responds with a chuckle, which morphs into a worried smile “Don’t you think let it out is better than keeping it all in?”
“Well... I’ll think about the offer, but thanks anyways.” You smile at your friend. A bit mischievous, but a good person at heart. You know he only has your best intention in his mind, and you are grateful for it. But you are not about to ruin her image, it’s the least you can do for her, even if she betrayed you twice.
“Anyways, I got us tickets!” Your friend decides to change the subject, tapping something on his phone before showing you the image of 2 tickets on his hand. “For what, exactly?” You think you know what those tickets are for, but you pray to God that you are wrong, just this one time.
“For the Loona concert!”
Fuck.
You swear in your head. It’s bad enough that the news of their tour, and images of them circulating in twitter inadvertently got you thinking about her again, after all those years. Now attending a concert and seeing them live?
God knows what could happen.
“How did you even get your hands on this?” You ask purely out of curiosity as to how your friend managed to acquire the tickets. You know how fast these tickets sell out. “Heh, what can I say? Lady luck was on my side that day~” Your friend looks incredibly proud of himself.
“So… Who are you going with?” You ask, a futile attempt in hopes that you might not have to go. “You, of course.” You groan at his answer.
“Come on, I know you want to attend it. You’re Korean, for god’s sake!” Your friend beams at you. “Most people don’t even recognize me as a Korean.” You counter. “That’s because you grow your fucking hair and beard out. They look good on you by the way, paired with those glasses-” He does the typical chef’s kiss motion “but just saying.” Your friend nearly explodes, but in a playful way, as he points out your distinct changes.
“I get your point, and?”
“And it might be a nice chance to use your mother tongue again. You’ve been using English ever since you got here, and God bless you for being fluent in English because none of us know a lick of Korean, I just feel like it’s unfair for you.”
“You really don’t have to do that.” You smile lightly. Amongst the various coworkers you worked with when you first arrived, only this guy stuck with you through thick and thin, inadvertently ending up as your best friend… Still, he can’t replace her, but he is good to you, and you gratefully accept that. What you don’t want to accept is the tickets.
“But-”
“Nah ah, no buts! I already paid for the damn tickets; I can use it however I want. And I want you to go with me on that day, and that is final!” Your friend stares at you with his fake aggressiveness that you are oh so familiar already. And you know that he won’t budge at this point, no matter how much you say to him.
“Alright, you win. I’ll go with you.” You let out a light chuckle, to which your friend also smiles at you. “There we go, couldn’t you be like this earlier?”
“Shut up.” Both of you laugh at the banter while enjoying the rest of the lunch. You can’t help but feel dreaded at the notion of seeing her, or the girls again, but they might not recognize you with how much you’ve changed. Ignoring the dull pain in your heart at the thought of them not recognizing you, you still think that it would be for the best. You are not the same as you were back then.
Not anymore.
-----
“Yah! Yeojin! Sit back down, why are you jumping around??”
“I’m so hungry… Do we have anything to eat? Hey, are you listening to me?”
To say that the bus is chaotic would be an understatement.
In typical Loona fashion, the girls are completely turning the bus upside down with their shenanigans, like they have an endless reserve of energy. Well, most of them, anyways.
Sitting at the far back of the bus, Hyeju watches them silently. Per usual, Hyeju isn’t one to participate in the chaos as much as the others, but there’s another reason for this.
See, after the incident with you, it took Hyeju a long time to earn back the trust of the girls again, some longer than others. Thankfully the members gave Hyeju another chance, but things were never quite the same.
Like how cracks can still be seen on a fixed object.
Her mistake has left scars. Some deeper than others.
She then takes a glance at Heejin who is also not partaking in the chaos, but just looking outside the window with a blank stare. Heejin never really did forgive Hyeju. She only held in the anger inside of her for the sake of the others, but with observant eyes, it wasn’t hard to recognize Heejin was avoiding Hyeju.
And honestly, despite how hurtful it is, Hyeju can’t bring herself to be angry at Heejin for that.
You and Heejin were basically glued together.
She introduced you to the girls.
She was the one that was with you through thick and thin.
But in the end, she had to give up on him for Hyeju’s sake.
What did Hyeju do?
She betrayed you.
The reason why you decided to move abroad while cutting off any form of contact.
It’s been 3 years since then.
Hyeju sighs to herself, looking outside to the moving scenery. Three grueling years without you by her side, they say that you never know what you truly had until you lost it, Hyeju understands it fully, now that she lost you.
She never quite realized just how involved you were in her life, until you left. The apartment was never quite the same without you, without your warm touch, it lost its homely atmosphere, now it’s just a cold, empty room. Meals weren’t the same without your soft voice, humming and listening to each of her daily rants, the bed felt cold without your hug, pulling her in and reassuring her that you were always with her.
Why did she do it? Why did she betray you? Even after 3 years, that question still lingers in her mind, as a reminder of her own mistake. She simply took you for granted. After the first time, you were gracious enough to give her your full trust again. And she… She thought that she could get away with it as well. How could some instant gratification be compared with stability?
She was wrong, so, so wrong. She was wrong to even entertain that thought, to even meet up with that man, to be seduced by his mere words.
And that made her lose the dearest thing that she had.
You.
-----
Well, here you are.
Standing in front of the venue, instead of all the excitement that you should be feeling, all you can feel is impending doom or anxiety in short. You start to question yourself repeatedly, “is this a mistake? Should you turn back? Why are you even here-”
“Dude! Less thinking and more walking!” You feel a hand striking your back, nearly making you stumble onto the ground. You glare to the side at your friend, who is smirking at you.
“You’ll thank me for this one day, now let’s get going.” He pulls you to stand straight again, before pushing you into the venue.
“Here goes nothing, I guess.” You mumble, mostly to yourself to brace for what is to come. “See? You’re already speaking in Korean! I know you’re excited, you don’t have to hide it from me~”
“Yeah, yeah, whatever.” You let out a sigh, starting to walk into the venue on your own without your friend pushing you. “Let’s head in, or else we might be stuck outside for a while.”
“I heard you, let’s go!” Your friend’s energy seems to remind you of a certain bunny, causing you to chuckle slightly.
The walk inside the venue is generally uneventful, if you ignore all the crazed fans with the merch gossiping among each other. As you do your best to ignore them, because everywhere you look, you see their damn faces.
On the shirts, printed on handheld fans, posters.
God, what in the actual fuck.
You thought you could handle this, seeing them again, but just the sight of them, of her, on the poster, already makes you feel sick to your stomach. Three years, three long years, and you are still haunted by the memories of that day. Three years without seeing them, three years of you, changing yourself in order to not be weak anymore. Yet just a picture of them, and the wall you’ve built so meticulously has already started to crumble slightly.
“Dude, you alright?” Your friend doesn’t miss the faint pained expression on your face.
“Yeah, yeah, I’m ok, my stomach is just a bit hurt, that’s all.” You harden your resolve once again before reassuring your friend with a slight smile. Your friend says nothing of the matter, but you feel his gaze on you as you both move to your seats on the inside of the stadium.
In an attempt to distract yourself from the fans and pictures, your eyes dart around other places, trying to find a safe haven where you don’t have to look at all the fans and pictures of the girls. You eventually find it, but you don’t know if it’s really a ‘safe haven’.
You spot a figure looking like a man, his black hoodies and jeans a stark contrast from the crowd. Given that you are also dark colored clothes, you can’t say anything about the man. But there’s just something about him, something that you can’t put your hands on, for some reason, he feels familiar.
“Dude, why are you staring at a stranger?” Your friend elbows you in the chest.
“… Nothing.” You disregard your uneasiness to get back to the matter on hand. “I just accidentally look at that direction.” Trying to play it off and walk off with your friend to find your place to watch.
“Pfft, yeah right.” Without looking, you can feel his eyes roll at you. “Let’s head inside before someone call the police on you for being a creep.” Silently, you take one last glance at the man in hoodie, before joining your friend at the seating area of the venue.
“This… Feels weird.” Mumbling to yourself, you look around the place. Now that you think about it, you rarely ever watch their performances from the audience’s point of view. Being a close friend to a certain bunny, and later, boyfriend of a certain wolf, you spend most of the time backstage with them, watching them either on the TV in the waiting room, or directly behind the backstage.
You never had the chance to watch from the audience due to your relationship with the girls, you were important to the members. A big brother, a drinking buddy, a listener, a friend, best friend even, and then boyfriend to her. They couldn’t let you stay in the audience during their performances.
Somewhere deep inside of you, you missed those days, days you spent with the girls, taking care of them and having fun with them, to be with the one you love, no, loved.
You find it hard for yourself to forgive her, you already did that once, after all. All the love and energy spent on her, to be reciprocated with betrayal. Not only once but twice. Who does that kind of thing? Who betrayed the trust of someone who loved them very dearly that easily?
The more these thoughts resurface, the more your heart ached. Not for her, but for the relationship that you lost because of her. How could you stay with the girls, now that your relationship with one of them is strained? They know her longer than they know you, so whose side are they going to take?
While you fall back into your deepest thoughts, you fail to recognize the venue’s light dimming, as screams begin to echo out from the fans. Only when you hear their voices do you awaken from your thoughts, to be greeted by the girls standing on stage, already performing the first song with the fans chanting along with the music.
You turn to the side, to also see your friend excitedly chanting along with his broken Korean, much to your amusement.
As for you, you were never one to like the crowd, so you just stayed seated, watching the performance with mixed feelings in your heart.
Your eyes soon glued onto her.
Your ex, the one you loved so much, but also the one who broke your heart into pieces. She seems to be doing ok, you thought. Her stage presence is much better than before, and so is her confidence. Despite projecting a cold image, she has always been somewhat timid behind the curtains. It took you many hours of encouragement and pep talks to give her the confidence boost she needed, and to see her like this… You can’t help but be proud, just a little bit.
Before your mind can start treading into forbidden memories, you turn to another person.
Your “Bunny”.
Well, you don’t think you have any right to call her that anymore, after all, it was you who cut her off when you moved overseas. Admittedly, it wasn’t right for you to just cut her off like that, when you and she have shared so many things together, the both of you going way, way back. But in your emotional state, you couldn’t bear to see or hear anything that would be remotely related to your ex. And so, in a fit of rage and depression, you changed your number, cutting off every relationship that you had in Korea, except for your family.
As the concert goes on, you barely pay any attention to the performance itself, too busy drowning yourself in your thoughts as you drift back and forth, in and out of your head, between happiness from seeing the girls again, to sadness that you’re seeing your ex again, to depression and guilt of you cutting them off from your life.
Before you even know it, the concert is nearing its end, with the girls doing the encore song while having fun on stage.
I don't need nobody to move my body
All me with no strings attached
I don't wanna be somebody who
Lets somebody hold me if they hold me back
I just wanna dance, dance
Dance on my own (dance on my own)
You can’t tell if there is a hidden message to this song or something, but you feel like this song just hit a little bit too close to home. Maybe that’s why you’ve been looping it a lot these days. And it’s hitting you hard right now, seeing that your ex is one of the people singing it on stage as well.
How ironic is that?
When she was the one that betrayed you and now singing that she can be by herself? You tighten your fists as tears start to gather in your eyes as rage and sadness begin to cloud your mind. How can she sing that so-
No.
Before you can go any further, you mentally restrain yourself. As expected, you’re losing control over your emotions because you can see the worried look on your friend’s face as he glances over to check up on you.
“Bathroom.” You manage to utter one word before standing up and leaving your seat, and your friend behind.
“Fuck.” You swear to yourself once you enter the bathroom. Making your way to the sink, you splash your face with water in some false hope of cooling down your mind. “Get it together.” You look at your drenched face in the mirror.
“It’s almost done, just a little bit more.” You talk to yourself in the mirror, like some madman who’s off his meds. Luckily, no one is here to judge your weird behaviour.
After a few more minutes of talking to yourself, you gather enough courage to return to your seat. But right as you leave the bathroom, you see the man in black hoodie from earlier walking by.
Now, as any normal person would do, you are going to return to the seating area to calm down an undoubtedly very worried friend. But once again, your gut feeling is telling you that this guy is bad news. And your gut feelings are usually never wrong. After all, it was your gut feeling that made you suspicious of cheating in the first place.
So, you decide to trail behind the guy, lighten your steps in order not to make any sounds. The man just keeps walking forward, his steps heavy and hurried. He’s walking with a purpose, there was a destination in mind, and you can’t help but keep following him, all the way to the backstage area.
Seeing how the guy knows how to avoid security, your suspicions are confirmed by now, but for safe measure, you kept your distance from him.
Then you heard noises, more specifically, chatter and laughter. You can recognize their voices everywhere, even if you aren’t up to date with them anymore.
Oh no.
The man starts to pick up the pace after he hears the voice heading towards a fork in the hallway, prompting you to do the same. You see him pull something out from his hoodie’s pocket. You can’t see what it is, but it’s shiny, you start sprinting after the man now.
You’re catching up to him. But he’s also getting very close to the girls, their laughter can be heard closer and closer.
Faster.
Now’s the time that you put all the efforts you made in the gym to good use. With a short burst, you catch up to the guy, and promptly crash your shoulder into him, pushing him into the wall in front of the girls just as they arrive, earning screams and yells from them. But you can’t hear them.
With the collision, the both of you fall onto the ground, the object the man was carrying seconds before fall off his hand, landing on the ground. A pocketknife.
The man glares back at you, his hood already fallen, yelling “You motherfucker!” in fluent Korean, stunning you for a brief second.
Because, you know this man.
He was the one that Hyeju cheated on with.
That brief stun period is enough for him to land a kick in your face, before scrambling for the knife. Thankfully, the pain is enough to wake your senses up, leading you to get on your knees and lunge for the man, using your entire body weight to land onto him, before your arms quickly find their way around his neck, tightening the chokehold you have on him while he struggles to break free by bashing his elbows against your ribs.
You grind your teeth and tighten the hold even further, ensuring the man has no way to escape, before you feel him going limp on your arms, and you being pulled out someone, presumably the security.
Looking at the unconscious guy, you smile faintly to yourself, maybe those Jiujitsu classes weren’t that useless after all.
Everything immediately afterwards is somewhat of a blur to you, not to mention the adrenaline subsiding and the pain kicking in. The fact that you encounter not one, but the two people responsible for betraying your trust back then and in such a situation as well.
From what you can deduce, Hyeju probably cut contact with him out of guilt, and him being constantly denied contact probably drove him crazy. Looking at the unconscious guy again, you can’t help but let out a sigh. What can you say?
Karma’s a bitch.
Although you feel a tinge of relief learning that small piece of knowledge, you still don’t particularly feel like you are in the mood to answer some questions from the security.
But you are cautious enough not to stand near the girls though, in case they recognize you because they sure did recognize the other man, as evident by Hyeju’s trembling. As happy as you are to see the girls up close again, you don’t think your heart can take any more than this, so, you take what you can get.
After a brief question, you start to head back to the seating area, your head thinking of what excuse to use for your worried friend. Before you leave though, you hear the voice of the girls calling for you, and as much as you want to just ignore them, that would be too rude of you.
“Thank you so much for helping us, mister.” Haseul speaks up for the girls.
“It’s nothing, I just did what anyone else would do.” You smile lightly.
“But your glasses were broken because of it, was it not?” Indeed, your glasses were broken, but you don’t really need glasses to function day to day and you just want to get out of here as fast as possible.
“I can still see fine, so don’t worry Miss. Instead, I think you should focus on comforting your friend over there, she seems quite shaken, no?” Your attempt to divert the conversation is a success as all the girls turn to the shaken Hyeju, talking amongst themselves before heading back, not forgetting to give you a small bow when they leave.
Except for one person though.
“Oppa.”
Shit, of course it’s Heejin. That girl has always been observant when it comes to you. But that isn’t enough for you to give up.
Keeping up with the façade of not knowing Korean, you pretend to not hear it and just keep walking. You can hear her calling you “oppa” repeatedly again. But you aren’t going to stop. The moment you cut her off, you stop being best friends. Not anymore.
“Pooh, is that you?”
Pooh.
Such a stupid name.
Yet, you stop dead in your track at the mention of that name, no one has ever called you by that in years. It was from way back in their childhood. Something your parents lovingly call you due to your chubby figure back then. Something that Heejin also called you, joyful of having another ‘victim’ being called by a nickname, after gaining the ‘Bunny’ nickname from her parents. At least, all the way up to when you started dating Hyeju, at least.
That name should have stayed buried in the past. Why did she- No, the question here should be, how did she figure you out?
“You look surprised.” Standing frozen in the spot, you can see Heejin walks into your view from behind, smiling lightly. “Did you really think that, by growing out your hair and beard, and bulking up, that I would not recognize you?”
Her eyes look up to yours, and you can see the anger, the disappointment in her eyes, but also relief and genuine joy upon seeing her best friend again. “Was our friendship really that shallow to you, Pooh?”
Guiltily, you can’t bring yourself to face her directly, your eyes diverting from her face. You’d rather look at anything else than to see her right now, if not you feel like the wall that you’ve spent years building might not collapse on the spot.
“You don’t have to say anything.” She whispers. You can see streams of tears rolling down her cheek. Your heart hurt more at the notion of Heejin crying, especially because of you. “I’m glad that I got to see you again, even if it was for a moment.” You feel her hand resting on your cheek, gently caressing it with her thumb going along the grooves of your beard.
“My goodness, you’ve really changed, haven’t you.” A small chuckle. “Goodbye, Pooh.” As you feel your palm leaving your face, you can hear the crumbling of the walls surrounding your heart. Years of steeling yourself, but all it took was just a moment with Heejin to bring it down.
“Wait.” You utter, your hand grasping onto hers to prevent her from leaving. Before she can react, you pull her into a tight hug, whispering to her. “I’m sorry, Bunny. I’m sorry.”
Taken back by your action, Heejin seems to be silent.
One second passed by.
Two seconds.
And then you can feel her body trembling as her arms try their best to hug around your huge frame, her face buried into your shoulder as she lets out choked sobs.
“How could you leave us like that? Leave me like that?” She cries into your shoulder. “Was our time together not even worth it for you?” Her grip on you turns tighter. “How could you…”
Her words are like a knife piercing your heart, you know you’ve done something wrong to her and the others. So, all you can do is try to compensate for it. There’s no turning back now, Heejin would not let you leave if you don’t leave her your phone number, and the girls are going to know about this sooner or later.
The girls… Are you ready to face Hyeju again? After all this time?
You forcefully stop yourself from thinking further. That can be dealt with later. You have a crying bunny to appease.
-----
As expected, after a good 10 minutes of crying, Heejin gave you 2 options: either give her your number, or you follow her back to her hotel. Without any real options, you reluctantly give her your number, only then was she satisfied enough to let you leave.
After that, you had to deal with the situation that was your worried friend. Thankfully, he bought your excuse of being stuck in toilet due to constipation and the both of you part way after chatting for a bit.
Which brings you to right now: lying flat on your couch, physically and emotionally exhausted from the chaotic evening. You just want to take a long, long sleep now.
Before you can even drift off to sleep, your phone begins to ring nonstop. Looks like the night isn’t over yet.
“Hello?” You pick up the phone.
“You still awake?” You can hear Heejin’s voice from the other side.
“Yeah, thanks to a certain someone calling me.”
“Hehe~ Anyways, I’m only in the city for tomorrow before heading to our next destination, can we meet?” Despite performing for around 4 hours straight, you can still feel the energy in her voice. Unconsciously, you start to smile as well, infectious of her energy. Just like old times.
“Lucky for you, I have tomorrow off, so let me sleep for now and maybe I’ll see you tomorrow.” Despite losing contact for so long, the two of you still converse like nothing ever happened. Like you were never apart. Joking and teasing like the old times.
“You better show up, you hear me?”
“Yeah, yeah, I got it. Go get some sleep Bunny, it’s been a long evening.”
“Mhmm, see you tomorrow, Pooh.” Again, with the nickname. You feel like you’ve already outgrown it. Even your parents don’t call you that name anymore, but Heejin keeps on using it, and you don’t know why.
“Goodnight.” Deciding that it’s been long enough, you hang up first, and without even moving to the bedroom, just lay on the couch until sleep takes you.
-----
“Ah, wait!” Heejin pouts, looking at her phone. “This guy, still hanging up like that, maybe he didn’t grow that much after all.” Even while complaining, Heejin still has a smile plastered on her face.
When you left them 3 years ago, cutting off all contact, she was devastated. In one night, she lost her best friend of 20+ years, and her crush. It was with the joint effort from the rest of Loona that she is still willing to co-exist with Hyeju.
Even as groupmates, she can never forgive Hyeju for what she has done to you. Who would she side with: a groupmate of a few years, or a best friend of 20+ years? Being an idol might be her dream work, but she would never abandon you.
Ever.
And now, after years of sulking and wallowing in depression, she’s met you again with a stroke of luck. Though she can tell that you have changed a lot throughout the years, something just can’t be changed. Like how you were willing to hurt yourself to save others. Heck, you just saved the girls this evening after all.
It’s regretful that she can’t stay here for long, but now having a way to contact with you again, she will make sure to make full use of it-
“Unnie?” She turns to the open door, being caught off guard while thinking to herself. She sees Hyeju standing just outside the door. “What do you need?” Despite her best effort, Heejin’s voice still comes off as quite cold, which is understandable.
“Just now, you were talking with oppa, weren’t you?” she asks with a bit of trembling in her voice. “And it was him who saved us this evening?”
Heejin scoffs, not wanting to let Hyeju figure anything out. “Just a friend, not him.”
“But you only called one person ‘Pooh’.
Heejin’s eyes widened at that. “How much did you listen?” Hyeju turns timid at her glare. “The- the whole thing…”
Heejin faces palms herself. “And what do you want?” She isn’t trying to hide the venom in her voice anymore. “You betrayed him, twice at that. What more do you possibly want to do to him?”
Gathering her courage, Hyeju looks back at Heejin defiantly. “I want to…”
🛼 - NOTE - Hey hey! I’ll have part two posted in a day or so, hope this is alright so far! 😁 also this isn’t proofread so I’ll have to do that in a bit 💀
………………………………………………………
“UNO!”
There’s no fucking way.
You groaned.
Letting out a frustrated sigh, you flopped backwards onto the rugged carpet of the Broflovski household in defeat. Your cards flew everywhere, uncaring of the slight mess made.
“Of course, just my luck” You huffed, shifting your head away from the boys sitting before you.
There wasn’t anything you despised more than playing card games with that of Kyle fuckin Broflovski, a teen-prodigy at whatever the hell game you guys decided to bring out next. Despite the “luck”-based system of the current one standing before you on the coffee table, you could have sworn there was some sort of “master-mind” strategy to the entire schtick. It was Uno for goodness sake. It had to have been a set up. He had to have…peered into the future or something.
Whatever.
With an award winning smile, and eyebrows that signaled two-sided pity, Kyle couldn’t help but shrug at your sour attitude. He laughed before he could mutter any apologies, cleaning up the cards littered around your body. “Sorry dude, but I warned you not to play Uno with me. Ike already knows, yet you just had to drag him into this game, huh?”
As if on cue, his little brother pretended to let out a shrill cry of shared defeat.
You sat back up, comforting Ike’s dramatics and ruffled his hair. You stared daggers at Kyle, who was still smugly shuffling through the mass of card games scattered about. It was an outrage. “I’m SORRY! I thought you were all talk dude! The past seven other games were nothing but PLANNED SCHEMES BY YOU! Go-fish, UNO, whatever, you just won them all!”
He scoffed, not looking up at you once. “Guess we’re not counting Ike’s win at solitaire, then?”
All you could do was lovingly punch Kyle, and roll your eyes. He jumped back and laughed a defensive “HEY!” before he could have been attacked any further. Ike cheered, you stood up, and the red-head pretended to cower in fear on the floor, forgetting any of the cards he had been previously sorting. “Smartass” you muttered with a grin.
“Yeah, smartass!” Ike mirrored.
Oh lord, neither of you were the paragon of what the boy should have been looking up to, and it showed. Kyle and you laughed before you crouched back down to help clean up the card games. Your friend sighed, rolling his eyes in a half-assed scold. “Don’t repeat that to mom and dad, Ike, they’ll kill me.”
Smartass? You quirked your eyebrows up in confusion, tilting your head slightly at the notion. “Kill you? I mean, come on, He’s old enough now, it’s not like he doesn’t know things.” You joked, side-eyeing Kyle while putting away the final boxes of the card games. He sighed in response, pinching the bridge of his nose and shaking his head as if recalling a troubling memory. “Yeah, but you haven’t seen our mom when she hears that type of stuff, she goes crazy. So honestly, it’s best if he just stops using that-“
Just then, cutting him off, the lights of the household shut off without any warning. A flash outside the windows rumbled the friendly peace between the three, signaling any nearby residents of an unexpected thunderstorm. Blanketed in sudden darkness, a certain little boy screamed, and ran into an unsuspecting wall.
“Of course, goddammit…UGHHH. A thunderstorm? Really? Hold on guys, give me a second-” Kyle exclaimed, hurriedly fumbling around his pockets for a phone. He grumbled while your excitement suddenly shone through an inky, housed darkness. Finding your phone before your frazzled friend could, you happily tapped the screen and went straight towards the flashlight function. “It’s ok Ike, I’ve got you, don’t run into anymore walls, please.”
A boom, a thunderous crash, and a harrowing plummet of thick drops pelted the house as the little boy hid behind your legs in childish fear.
Storms like these weren’t uncommon in South Park, no, but it felt like it had been forever since the last one wreaked havoc onto the little town, and you always looked forward to them. Despite the setbacks of, well, almost all power going out across town, it was always worth it for the refreshing moments of an insane storm.
“It’s ok Kyle I’ve got my phone now- Ike, dude we should check out the storm! I haven’t seen one like this in AGES!”
Phone now in hand and sporting a tired look of disinterest, Kyle aptly declined. “No. No way, sorry. It’s raining. Shit like this ruins my hair like crazy, and now I’ve got to wait for our stupid power to come back on.” He muttered. Thankfully for you, you had a problem caring, and swiftly walked towards the entrance of the back door, much to your friend’s dismay.
“So what if it’s raining! What comes AFTER a storm is the most beautiful thing ever to look forward to!” You turned back, shifting your gaze towards the two brothers, grinning like a mad man.
As if to compliment your joy, another shattering flash of crisp thunder filled the air, illuminating the rain waiting outside of the Broflovski household. “You’re crazy.” Kyle simply stated, unblinking and unmoving. “I hate how dark our house is.” Was all Ike blathered, moving closer to his brother.
The sway against the boys wasn’t enough, yet despite this, you knew they were going to get FOMO sooner or later with how treacherous the noises outside were. So, without saying another word and a knowing smile, you opened the door to the backyard and ran around as if your life depended on it. And boy, was it worth it. You couldn’t hear the frustrated call of your name over the sound of icy threads weaving the air and sinking into the ground all around you. Laughing and circling around the now mushy grass, a wonderful wave of cold shivered throughout your body, igniting a beautiful adrenaline only such weather could unlock.
“DUDE! YOU’RE GOING TO CATCH A COLD!” You heard over the loudness of the rain. Turning around, you saw what appeared to be a disgruntled silhouette holding a shoddy phone-flashlight, and a stern look chiseled onto the features of a displeased red-head. A typical stance to see him in, and not the last time you’d see it either. Your water-lodged eyes spottet a shorter shadow peering around the taller one, slightly illuminated by the faint light of an IPhone, obviously curious about the weather before him.
Pretending not to hear Kyle, you joyously beckoned Ike over to the backyard, hands outstretched and drenched in water. You grinned, still uncaring of the shivering circumstances.
“COME ONNN, I KNOW YOU GUYS WANT TO! LOOK HOW MUCH FUN IM HAVING OUT HERE!” You spun around and laughed. “SOOOO MUCH FUN!
Not even a moment passed by before you saw the smaller shadow jolting towards the backyard. Of course! You knew IKE would at least eventually cave, and how could you resist rain like this! The weather was sure to ruin any tidiness the two of you held; tangled hair and drenched clothing, leaving behind frantic smiles plastered onto the faces outside. It was horrifyingly comical, much to the chagrin of Kyle.
And honestly, huge win for you, because now that you had won over your friend’s little brother, the two of you were UNSTOPPABLE!
“IKE NO!- Oh my god…”
Red Mountain Waffle House, pt. 12
Sadara woke...well she wasn't exactly entirely sure where she'd slept, to be honest. It was all fuzzy. Somehow or the other the first thing she was doing on waking was sitting in the stairway outside her apartment. She stood, groaning, walked up the stairs and into the apartment with a barely-tamed hangover headache.
Walking into the apartment she saw Jiub, who was seated in front of the TV watching some sort of game show. He looked up at her--and gave a mad grin.
"Don't say it," Sadara groaned, raising one hand. "Don't...don't say it."
"Say what?" Jiub smirked now. "How about instead of it I say something like 'good morning, slut?'"
"Is it that obvious?"
"You walk like you got fucked to oblivion and back," he laughed, "Who'd you leave with, anyway?"
"Jolene. The big guy. I remember last night in bits and pieces, but by the time we--you don't want the details, I know. The fucked like a...like it was his last chance. A couple of times. Cuddler, too." She gave a soft sigh. That had been wonderful, a part she remembered well. Silence, warmth, skin contact...she hadn't had anything like that in ages.
"The big ones always are."
"Thank goodness the hangover's not that bad. Headache's not bad, memory's a bit fuzzy, but..." Sadara raised her left hand and waved it a bit absently.
"Holy fucking shit." Jiub's voice turned deadpan, "Where did you get that ROCK?"
"Rock?"
He gestured to her hand, and Sadara looked - seeing not the moon-and-star, but an intricately carved ebony ring studded with scarlet rubies all over. Boxy, with a spike at the top...a spike whose tip was the biggest ruby she'd ever seen.
"Well, that explains why I haven't been hearing Nerevar..." Sadara's face sunk into her palms, "Jolene kept insisting on spending money on a bunch of things. Wooing me or whatever. But why he'd give me his ring--I must've swapped with him or something..."
"Check your pockets," Jiub said, "Maybe you'll get some hints? Hope to the nine you didn't buy it from a pawn shop on credit."
"Good idea."
She emptied her pockets. There were several receipts - one from the casino, cashing out her winnings, which were (somehow?) in her Venmo account. Another from a restaurant, including two meals and a 'giant' sweetroll. Then there was one from some hotel, and another from some bar she'd never heard of. Then a ticket stub from a theater. Jiub made several comments as each one popped out.
"350 drakes? Nice work...some people have all the luck."
"Dude took you to see Cats, he must've been serious."
"Twenty bucks for a drink? He must've taken you to a tourist trap. Sure you didn't pay for these?"
"I'm sure, I checked." Sadara sighed, "He was a lot of fun, though, wouldn't mind seeing him again. Sweet guy...kinda shy, too, like he hadn't been out in ages."
She pulled one final receipt out. At the top was marked SURAN WEDDING CHAPEL.
"Oh, no..."
At the bottom was pinned a small wrinkly side picture of her and Jolene--him with the bandage on his forehead she still vaguely remembered. Both of them were smiling, and there was a wonderful softness in his eyes, a warmth she could feel even just looking at.
"And we were both wasted," Sadara gave a slight laugh, "I don't even know his name--"
"You don't even know YOUR name, you mean." Jiub gave his own laugh. "You're a married woman now."
"How the hell am I supposed to find him again? I can't just turn up to every party hoping he's there...like I don't have enough problems."
"The Sixth House folks probably won't take kindly to you getting hitched to some random guy but...if we can kill Almalexia, however temporarily...we can handle anyone that decides to make trouble."
"Including Dagoth Ur himself?" she questioned.
"See previous answer." Jiub shrugged. "Give me enough skooma and I could do anything."
"Sooner or later we're both going to have to get sober." Sadara sighed. She had to admit he had a good idea. A ring this expensive, surely someone knew whose it was, or would be the person missing it.
The moment she posted the picture and question, a new thought came.
"Fuck, what if they think I stole it?"
"Just mention the chapel," Jiub said, "Say you got drunk married. That should put anyone with half a brain off."
She shared her own post and added that, and then sat back. "I guess now I wait."
"Guess so." she paused. "How was your night? I never asked."
"Good enough. Came back early, after the ordinators showed up at Greg's. Spent half the night losing to some legendary spammer on Pokemon Showdown, then beat him with some strategy I'd seen a couple times before. Guy was so salty he got himself banned."
Sadara laughed. "You beat him with a troll team, didn't you? ...what was that one you were looking up a while back? The FEAR strategy?"
"Something like that." Jiub smirked. "Nothing better than collapsing some chud's ego with a semi-elaborate plan that makes him think I'm barely trying."
"You'd be dangerous if you had any ambition."
"Ambition is how people get into trouble, and I have enough of that as it is." There was a pause. "Anyway, did you have any plans for lunch?"
-------------------
"You can't wear that in here."
Nibani said it the instant she saw the ring two nights later, when Sadara and Jiub walked through the door of the Waffle House.
"Well I'm sure as hell not leaving it at home, it's not mine, and it looks expensive," Sadara groaned. "I don't want to get into any more trouble if whoever it belongs to turns up wanting it."
"What do you mean, any MORE trouble?"
Jiub walked behind the counter and lit a cigarette. "Our girl here is now a married lady!"
"...and that's trouble? Did you marry a Temple priest?"
"Uh...well..." Sadara shook her head. "No. Not that I know of?"
"What do you MEAN, not that you know of?"
"I was...uh...pretty...well, no, REALLY drunk." Sadara shrugged, and got to work with some remaining dishes in the sink. "I wanted a rowdy night, you know, and I got it, but apparently a roll in the hay isn't ALL I got."
"You kids today--" Nibani sighed.
"We live in a world of shit, I'll take joy where I can find it." Sadara shrugged. "I'll keep the ring in my pocket while I'm here, problem solved."
"Do you remember anything about the fellow?"
"Aside from how big he was?" Sadara thought for a moment, and then realizing it could be taken differently than she intended, added, "Tall, I mean. He was...actually charming, in a sad wet cat kind of way. He seemed like he didn't get out much."
She really did want to see him again. Even if she was a rebound while he was getting over whoever he was bawling about, he'd been pretty nice. A good date, certainly...if a very drunk one.
(The picture had been slid into her wallet. It put a smile on her face when she glanced at it...no one had ever looked at her like that before.)
------------------------------
One week of relative silence passed. Dagoth Ur did not show once in that time, and neither did any of the sleepers they'd all become accustomed to seeing. Not so much as a like on Morrowtwitter. She would've been relieved, if that silence wasn't so worrying.
But there were, thankfully, other concerns.
Business was as slow as they'd ever seen it at the Waffle House.
At the end of a couple hours of nothing, the door opened. In walked a haggard looking Dunmer adventurer toting a big bag.
"Gods above, this has been a long journey. Give me some waffles and a large coffee," he said, "And tell me if you see anyone on the road that looks even vaguely like an ordinator."
"Steal something important?" Jiub asked. "It ain't much better up here. The armigers...they'll fuck you up too."
"Yeah, yeah. I went through the Ghostgate, but I don't think they...had gotten the memo yet. How, I don't know. There's a price on my head everywhere else. Don't know why I took this job."
"What job?" Nibani asked. "I don't want to deal with the armigers or the ordinators, it better only be moon sugar you're trafficking through here."
The dunmer laughed. "Yeah, I WISH it was only moon sugar, then maybe I wouldn't have all this shit on my head."
"What is it? I'm not gonna tell anyone, the Temple wants me dead anyway." Jiub, curious, walked on over to bring the waffles himself and so did Sadara, once she got the coffee.
It was ashes...and bones.
"Just bones?" Sadara asked.
"These aren't just any bones!" The dunmer said, "If they were...well, I'd still be in trouble, but not to this degree."
"Spill then. Whose are they?"
"Saint Nerevar's!"
"Now I KNOW you're fucking with us," Jiub said. He turned back to the grill. "If those were Nerevar's bones..."
"Look, if you don't believe me, that's fine. I just don't want to get caught by the ordinators with 'em."
"You don't wanna get caught by Dagoth UR with them," Sadara piped up. "You think the ordinators will be angry with you? That's nothing to--"
"Who the fuck do you think ASKED for these?"
"WHAT!" Nibani rushed forward, and the dunmer moved back in response. "You think to hand Nerevar's bones over to the SHARMAT?"
"I'm getting paid for it, so yes, I am!" the guy practically shouted, and being taller than Nibani, simply held the bag high up over her head. "He's desperate for them, apparently."
"Man's obsessed with Nerevar, always has been from what I hear," Sadara replied. "You might be helping out Morrowind by handing the bones over."
"How would that be helping Morrowind?" Nibani asked. "Delivering Nerevar into the hands of an enemy--"
"Dagoth Ur's not his enemy...at least, I don't think so. Not the way you're thinking. Uhm. You remember that tattoo I got a while back?"
"...yes...?"
"Vivec paid her to do it as a distraction. And it worked from what I saw. Man spent a long time staring at the fucking thing on Morrowtwitter."
If looks could kill, Sadara would have dropped where she stood.
"You got a tattoo. To tempt the Sharmat. What is WRONG with you?"
"I did it for money, alright? Vivec paid me to do it!" Sadara protested. "We needed a new fridge. We--it paid the rent!"
"Of all the foolish--you've put all of us in danger!" Nibani was positively screaming now. "You've gone and gotten yourself into a mess with this drunk marriage of yours. Suppose he shows up thinking you're still available, hmm? Imagine the damage he could do! Do you think of no one but yourself? The safety of Morrowind--the--the lives you endanger--"
"You've never been broke, have you?" Jiub spoke, but wasn't heard.
"Fuck this," Sadara burst out, "And fuck you."
She turned to the dunmer.
"I'll take the damn bones to Dagoth Ur, save you the trouble. The ordinators want me dead anyway. What else can I lose?"
At least HE would be happy to see her, and if she could produce the bones, so much the better. She could explain away the wedding as an accident. She'd heard Nerevar was prone to drunken brawls...so surely he'd understand.
It was nearly morning.
Sadara took the bones, left her apron, and headed out into the blight storm.
----------------------------
The walk to Dagoth Ur (the building) was a rather lengthy one, and she had to stop to ask ash zombies she'd normally pass by for directions. They seemed excitable when they saw her, and one even embraced her, making its characteristic gurgles and growls in a rather lighter way than she was used to.
"Yes--yes, thank you, that was a lovely hug, I'm glad you didn't forget how." She'd given it (him? she wasn't sure) a hug in return, and gotten some dried bittergreen petals out of its pocket in return. "Thank you."
The poor thing, she'd thought. How long had it been since they'd gotten a hug?
Her feet were aching and she had the distinct feeling it was a bad decision to offer to bring the bones this far.
But I've come this far...I might as well go the rest of the way.
Even in the blight storm she could see - the building was utterly enormous, palatial even, and she had as she had in the presence of other wealthy homes, the distinct feeling that she did not belong there. There were several sleepers outside, and when she explained what she was there for they let her in, giving her (she assumed for some odd reason of their own) a most hearty congratulations.
Sadara was directed to a side room (parlor, she reminded herself), and sat quietly, looking around the room. Sixth House tapestries, small portraits of House Dagoth members, furniture that looked centuries old...this place, she thought, this place was what would easily be called old money.
This wasn't just a house displaying its riches. This was wealth.
It took almost fifteen minutes for the door to finally open again, and Sadara stood up quickly when a Dunmer entered, flanked by two ash ghouls, one of whom announced him as "Dagoth Gilvoth."
He was relatively tall, and dressed in a fashion that reminded her vaguely of pictures of King Helseth. As if every mark of wealth needed to be shown, so those laying eyes did not doubt--
"So," he said coldly, with an icy gaze to match, "You have brought Lord Nerevar's bones."
"Yes, I--" Sadara started, but was cut off.
"I do not recall you being the one we commissioned to do that. Did you steal them?"
"Of course not. The man--was eager to get rid of them. Said the ordinators were after him...and I--well, I was free." The tone set her on edge, and the look didn't help. "I didn't steal shit."
"Mmhhmm. Vulgarity, as expected of one such as yourself. The bones, if you please."
Sadara quietly handed the bag over to one of the ash ghouls, who turned back and whispered something to Dagoth Gilvoth.
"Good. She didn't hold anything back, at least."
"Who the--I didn't TAKE anything, stop making assumptions!" she couldn't help but burst out.
"Really?" Gilvoth's tone slipped; it turned more snobbish. "Then I suppose you made that ring yourself?"
"The ring? Well--no, I woke up wearing it."
"Try harder with your lies, if you want people to believe them."
"I'm telling the truth. I woke up wearing it...a bit over a week ago. I went to Suran with someone, and...I...ah...married him. I still haven't figured out who he is, no one's got any answers for me. I assume you know who it is?"
"Know who it is!" Gilvoth laughed harshly. "You carry a Dagoth family heirloom and ask if I know who it is!"
"Then tell me," she said, trying to hold back the wave of--something. Dread? No. Or maybe yes. She was anxious, that was for certain. "Tell me whose it is. Tell me who I married. Wait--I have a picture. I assume it's one of you."
She took out the little picture from her wallet, and held it up for inspection.
Gilvoth's face shifted with a myriad of things, things Sadara couldn't quite pin down.
"That is the head of our Great House, Voryn Dagoth. Dagoth Ur."
Sadara paled. "I--I had no idea. If I had known--he was so different, I would never have thought..."
"You would never have married him had you known?"
"I didn't--well before, but--I didn't know there was more to him than the--the cult stuff."
Sadara sat back down. Her face sunk into her hands.
Of course. Of course. It was all so clear now. The sad song. The misery. The way he'd looked at her. The desperate cuddling.
Of COURSE the one time she'd ever had someone look at her like she'd hung the moon was because he thought of her as someone else!
"Cult stuff. We are trying to save Morrowind's very soul, and you call it cult stuff. I can see why--" A shift in tone again, and when she looked up, Gilvoth had looked away before speaking his next sentence. "--in any case, you have done all that is required of you. You may leave."
"I thought--given--won't there have to be some kind of talk about...well..." she raised her left hand to show the ring.
"You will return the ring, and you will leave. There will be no need for a talk of any kind, and certainly not with one like you. Now that we have Nerevar's bones, the mer himself may be revived."
That stony gaze turned back at her.
"Surely you understand it has always been Lord Nerevar that he wants? That that is the only reason he ever turned even a glance in your direction? You who have to show skin to keep his attention for any length of time? You, who carefully avoid accepting any overtures from our sleepers? You, who bring only scandal to House Dagoth?"
Sadara could not find words. She had been looked down on for being broke before, or being practical, but never to this degree. She expected to feel upset, maybe a stab of pain as she had before. But all she felt right now was anger.
"You don't even have the decency to pretend you care for him."
"I could have." The answer surprised them both. If she'd known there was more to Dagoth Ur than this cult he was running, she thought she'd have been a little more open to his...
"Hand over the ring and leave, before I have you removed," Gilvoth demanded.
She stood, pulled off the ring, and handed it to the other ash ghoul. Then backed away, and scuttled around to the door while facing Gilvoth.
"What in the blue blazes are you doing?" he questioned.
"You will remember my face," Sadara said, matching the chill of Gilvoth's tone, clenching her fist as she spoke. "Not my back. My face."
The words were not quite hers, and all but busted out of her. They seemed to surprise Gilvoth, but she didn't stay to hear anything he said.
------------------------------
u ok?
not really. Is the manager still pissed?
Like you wouldn't believe. idk what to tell you but I think you might've fucked yourself out of the job.
great. just great. I won't be home today anyway.
trip go that well?
I didn't get paid if that's what you were wondering. turns out it was dagoth ur I married. fml.
Spending the day?
no, they don't want me there. getting a room somewhere. i'll be by in the next few days. or not. I don't know. I need to fight something.
-------------------------------
I know you don't want to hear from me, but I thought I'd leave you a message anyway, before you start your new life with Nerevar at your side.
If I had known there was more to you than the religion you started, I'd have been more open to you to begin with. In Suran I saw a side of you I wanted to see more of. You were...I liked you. I liked the way you made me feel. I liked especially the smile I saw on your face when I looked at you.
I had a great time. I just wish it was me you wanted to be doing it with.
“party foul”
alex turcotte x reader
did i just combine 3 requests? yeah. don’t even talk abt it.
—
you met alex in your economics class earlier this semester, and you two have become a little more than friends. it started off as a one night stand, which turned into a regular thing nearly every weekend.
as you down the last sip of your drink, you watch as alex converses with a petite blonde girl in the corner of the room. you shouldn’t be jealous, especially since you’re the one who told alex it could never be anything more than what it is, but you are.
“we better get you another drink before your eyes burn a hole right through my best friend,” cole says, randomly appearing next to you.
“oh would you shut it caufield,” you groan, fidgeting with your now empty cup.
“annabella, business major,” cole says, before taking a sip of his beer. his words only makes you even more annoyed than you were just a few moments before.
“how the hell do you know so much about her?” you ask cole, now turning to fully face the sort-of-ginger boy.
“she’s friends with abby,” he shrugs, making you gasp, “does abby hate me or something? she’s allowing her friend to be falling at alex’s feet?”
“no no, she told annabella that alex is in a sticky situation, but clearly she doesn’t listen. she’s kind of a whore,” he shrugs. you immediately smack his arm.
“cole! don’t call women whores!”
“oh, now you’re defending her?”
“no but i don’t slut shame! ugh, god cole, why do i even care? we’re just hooking up, it’s not anything serious. i literally told him i didn’t want anything more, when i very much do!” you tipsily admit to cole, making his eyes widen.
“you want more with him?” he asks you, chugging the rest of his drink, since you’re stressing him out with all this drama.
“dude, everyone knows that! i’m just afraid commitment, and alex is kind of a player cole,” you bashfully say, now looking at alex once again, who’s laughing at her stupid jokes.
“well maybe you should tell him you want more? cause he sure as hell doesn’t look bored over there, but he likes you, y/n. i know that. but i think he’s tired of waiti— oh shit, here she comes! gotta dip but uh, good luck!” cole says, sheepishly smiling as he 180’s his way out of the room. you turn around and see annabella standing in front of you.
“is there a reason you’re staring at me and him?” she asks you, gesturing her hand towards alex, who looks incredibly embarrassed.
“him? do you even know his name?” you chuckle, making her face redden.
“uh, yeah, of course i do! it’s uh, austin!” she says, making you burst out laughing, “it’s alex, but nice try!”
“whatever, i was close enough. you’re just jealous i pulled a hockey player and you didn’t,” she shrugs.
“oh definitely,” you say sarcastically, pausing to let out a chuckle. “if you knew anything about me and alex, i don’t think we’d be having this conversation right now. how about you just go back to your boy toy, and i’ll go back to minding my own business, okay?” you ask, making her scoff. she walks back towards alex, and you immediately beeline it for the door.
as you sit on the front porch of the frat house, you hear the door open a few moments after you closed it. you don’t look up from your lap, but when a male figure sits down on the step next to you, you look to your left and see alex.“what was all that, huh?” alex teases, making you scoff, “i’m not in the mood, alex. go back to your puck bunny.”
“hold on, are you jealous?” he asks, immediately making your cheeks flush pink.
“you know what, yeah alex i am! i literally got in a fight because of you!” you exclaim, placing your head in your hands.
“i thought we were strictly hooking up? am i wrong?” he asks. you let out a deep sigh, and stare up at the few stars in the late night, wisconsin sky.
“alex i’ve always wanted more, but i’m scared. you’re going to the nhl soon, and you have a slight reputation. i just don’t want to get hurt,” you admit to him.
“i know i have a reputation, and i’m not proud of it. tonight definitely doesn’t help my case, but i really like you y/n. i don’t think i’ve liked anyone this much, actually. i’ve told my mom about you, fun fact,” he awkwardly chuckles, trying to lighten the mood.
“mama turcotte knows about me? shit, you better wife me up now,” you joke, thankfully making alex laugh.
“i guess i’ll just have to,” he shrugs, making you laugh once again. you rest your head on his shoulder, and his head rests on top of yours. all the tension from earlier disintegrated, and now it’s just pure laughs from the both of you as you embrace the moment.
He likes you more than sarcasm| Stiles Stilinski x f! reader
summary: It's Stiles's birthday and you don't know what present buy him so you ask for help to Scott.
warnings: none.
a/n: hii everyone, hope u like it and please let me know for any mistakes because english isn't my first language:]
Since early in the morning you have been running all the mall trying to get the best present for Stiles, it wasn't that you forget his birthday actually it was the opposite his birthday was the only thing on your mind since two weeks ago but still you haven't found anything and, to be honest, you were struggling right now so you decided that you needed help from the only one who knows Stiles a little better than you, Scott McCall.
Stiles on the other hand was worried about you, why? well, it's easy, turns out that you have been so concentrated on the present that you forgot to call to wish him happy birthday or at least a message like you always do on his birthday. You have been always the first person to call him since you two met.
You arrive at his house, knocking on the door impatiently waiting for him or someone to open but without a response, you used the key that according to the pack it was supposed to be only for emergencies but this was an emergency... well at least for you.
''Scott! Where are you? I need your help!'' you yelled as you stepped into his house as if were yours.
Scott who was sleeping on the couch, gets startled by your voice and your presence standing in front of him ''first of all, you scared the shit out of me'' he says holding a hand in his chest ''and how do you even get into my house? It was locked'' he raises a brow.
''I'm not here to talk about how you should change your lock because everyone in the pack has a key'' you just shrugged and you sit down next to him.
He just rolls his eyes at you.
''So why do you need my help anyways?''
''Okay, so as you know It's Stiles's birthday and I have no idea what to buy him this time, I actually asked him what he would like to receive and he just says and I quote you don't need to buy me something, your presence it's enough to make me happy but that can't be true, everyone knows that it's something you say just to not sound like you are a materialistic person but deep down you want to be surprised'' as you finished to say Scott can't believe it how oblivious were you, Stiles literally has confessed his feelings to you. '' I mean, what else he likes besides the sarcasm?'' you started to walk from side to side, thinking.
''Well, he likes you more than sarcasm- oh shit'' Scott's eyes widened as you froze in your place ''what did you just say?'' you were shocked, he mean it? Stiles really likes you? The same guy you fell in since you saw him sleeping in class drooling over his notebook?
''Stiles it's gonna kill me...'' Scott mumbled to himself.
Before you started to ask him so many questions, the front door of the house opens abruptly, scaring the two of you while Stiles started to walk with his phone in hand without realizing you were there.
''Dude I think something happened to yn, i have been calling her but she doesn't pick up and both of us know she is always the first one to congratulate me on my birthday no matter how early is''
''You like me?'' you asked him still in shock.
And in that very moment, Stiles dropped his phone on the floor his head moving to look at you, standing a few steps away from you. His cheeks turned red instantly and was hard not to notice.
''I'm sorry and good luck bro'' Scott patted Stiles's shoulder and run upstairs to his room.
You came closer to Stiles '' so... it is true?'' you asked him again, your voice full of hope. ''yes, I like you'' he murmured nervously avoiding your gaze, and slowly started to step backward ''I'm sorry if i made you feel uncomfortable i know you don't feel the same-'' '' but I do, i like you too, Stiles'' you cut him off as your heart started to racing.
There was a silence for a few seconds, then Stiles grabbed your wrist and this time he came closer to you, so close that your noses were touching, and finally, he kiss you, slowly and tender, a hand caressing your cheek and after a moment, you both break the kiss to breathe some air, damn air.
''By the way, happy birthday'' you chuckled.
''This is literally the best gift I have ever received'' he grins and connects your lips one more time.
Hihi! I was wondering if you do a Jake Jensen x reader since he doesn't get enough love!! Something like, readers pretty hypersexual and all over Jake. He adores reader to the ends of the earth, but is a bit hesitant bc he doesn't think he'd be good enough for them. Jake has no idea how into him reader really is until they get it on!
If not that's totally fine! Have an awesome day!!! >O<
You make nerd sexy... (college!hockeyplayer!Jake Jensen)
Warnings: 18+ readers only, swearing, slut shaming, horny reader, oblivious!Jake Jensen, mentions of seeing Ari's package, violence, mean!Ransom Drysdale, self-doubting, college guys being jerks
"Thanks again for the help, Jakey." You smiled sweetly at him before pressing a kiss to his cheek.
Jake smiled back, hoping the blush on his face wasn't visible to you or his hockey teammates as they watched your interaction from the sofas with knowing smirks.
"Uh, no problem, Y/n. You know I'm always here to help." He answered as he opened the frat house door for you.
"Well, I best be going-"
"DON'T FORGET TO INVITE HER!" Bucky shouted over his shoulder.
Your brow furrowed in confusion as you looked at Jake.
His eyes widened momentarily before he sent a glare towards Bucky. He cleared his throat and ran his hand up the back of his neck. "Oh, right, I almost forgot," He chuckled nervously. "We're uh, having a victory party here Saturday night, after the game. You wanna come?" He smiled at you.
Your lips stretched into a grin. "I'd love to, Jakey... Although, arranging a victory party before you've even played is very assumptious of you." You raised your eyebrow at him playfully.
He shook his head with a sigh. "It's their idea." He nodded towards the others as they watched you instead of the slutty music video that was playing on the TV.
You giggled, "Figures."
Steve gasped dramatically. "You don't think we'll win, Doll?"
"I just think it's bad luck to assume, that's all." You smiled and looked at Jake.
He nodded, "That's what I said." He rolled his eyes making you giggle. "Will, uh, you be at the game?" He asked as he rubbed the back of his neck.
"Of course she'll be at the game, Jakey... Y/n's, your personal cheerleader, ain't ya', Doll." Bucky winked at you.
You nodded. "Of course I will." You smiled at Jake before looking down at your watch. "Shoot. Gotta go, Jakey... Meeting, Nat and Wanda." You leaned up and gave him one last kiss on the cheek before running out the door waving goodbye to the rest as you did.
Jake closed the door with a sigh before turning around as he ran his hand over the back of his neck.
"Pathetic." Steve muttered stopping Jake in his tracks.
"Excuse me?"
"You heard." Steve shook his head as he sat back in his seat, his attention returning to the TV.
"Leave him alone." Sam said as he stood up from the couch stretching and turned to face Jake. "But he's right."
Jake frowned at him. "About what?"
Bucky rolled his eyes with a huff. "About the sexy little kitten that practically humps your leg any time she's near you."
Jake's brow furrowed, "Who?"
"Y/N!" All the guys shouted.
"You telling me you don't see it?" Ari asked Jake with a bewildered look.
Jake shook his head and shrugged. "See what?"
"How much she's into you." Ari said. "Because she's really into you, dude."
Jake scoffed, "Don't be ridiculous. Y/n's just friendly... She's just my friend." Jake said, thinking about you.
"That you and every other guy wants to fuck." Ari smirked as he rubbed his hand over his crotch.
"I wouldn't mind getting some of that snatch." Lloyd smirked and high fived Bucky.
Jake rolled his eyes, used to the guys constantly talking about how much they'd like to fuck you. If he was being honest, he hated it but you were his friend. What could he do?
"Jake," Sam stood in front of him and put his hand on his shoulder. "That girl wants you and you need to do something about it before someone else beats you to it."
Jake shook his head. "You're being ridiculous." He pushed Sam's hand off him. "Y/n doesn't want to be with me."
"RIGHT!" Steve jumped up from the couch startling Jake. "I'm going to fuck her then."
"What?" Jake's eyes widened as he began panicking. He really didn't want Steve to do that.
"I'll see you fuckers, later." Steve winked at Jake as he walked past him and headed for the door.
"Hold up." Bucky quickly followed. "I want to fuck her too..."
"Me too." Lloyd said as he too followed Steve out of the door.
"And me." Ari grinned as he patted Jake on the shoulder.
Sam chuckled. "Told ya." He gave Jake one more pat before jogging off out the door behind the others that followed Steve.
"Where are you going?" Jake asked him.
Sam held his hands up. "I kinda want to fuck her too, man. Sorry."
Jake silently cursed himself as he closed the door, standing in the quiet frat house. He really didn't like the idea of any of his friends trying to get with you. "Damn it." He huffed and pulled the door open. "WAIT!"
------------------------------------------------------------
"Relax, would you, you look cute." Nat smiled at you as the two of you stood at the bar with Wanda.
You looked down at your outfit and smiled.
"I do, don't I?" Your brow furrowed. "So why hasn't, Jake, made a move?"
"Because he's a stupid hockey playing boy." Wanda answered making you and Nat laugh.
"Listen, if Jake's too stupid to do anything, even after all your not so subtle hints, then pick one of the other stupid hockey playing boys to fuck." Nat smiled.
You groaned. "But I don't wanna just fuck, Jake. I like him."
Wanda's brow furrowed as she rubbed your arm. "I know, sweetie, but Jake's stupid. And a girl has needs."
"Needs that any of those hockey players would be happy to fill." Nat wiggled her eyebrows making you and Wanda laugh.
"Who knows, maybe Jake would finally do something if you were to sleep with one of them." Wanda said.
You hummed. "I dunno... Who would you pick?" You asked her.
Wanda thought about it for a second. "Steve's cute I guess... And Sam..."
You nodded and looked at Nat.
She screwed her face up in disgust. "Ew, you know I prefer the cheerleaders." She winked.
You rolled your eyes with a smirk. You looked down at your drink as you thought, "... Ari."
"Ari?" Both Nat and Wanda asked shocked.
You nodded. "Ari."
"He's the complete opposite of, Jake." Wanda said.
"Exactly... And, I have it on good authority he's packing." You smirked to yourself as you played with your glass.
Nat squinted, "How do you know if Ari Levinson is packing in his pants?"
You giggled, "A few weeks ago, I was at the frat house studying with Jake, and went to use the bathroom. As I opened the door, Ari was getting out of the shower... He be packing." You smirked at her as you held your hands up to show just how big Ari was.
Wanda's mouth fell open. "God damn." She smacked the bar. "Why are you so fixed on hooking up with, Jake, then?"
"Because he's sweet and kind." You smiled, "... and as much as Ari is nice and has a big dick, he's a terrible boyfriend. Much rather put his dick in everything than commit to one pussy." You huffed.
Nat nodded and out her arm around your shoulders. "Girl, maybe you need to just let Ari do what he does, to you for a while and forget about Jake."
You nodded. "Maybe..." You sighed, "Excuse me. I need the little girls room." You said before leaving the bar.
Nat and Wanda looked after you with a sigh.
"You really think, Ari's, that big?" Wanda asked looking back at Nat.
Nat shrugged and looked towards the door. She nodded towards it, "Ask him."
You opened the restroom door with a sigh and walked back into the bar to stop when your path was blocked by one of you regrets. "Move, Drysdale."
Ransom shook his head with a chuckle. "C'mon, babygirl, don't be like that." He stepped closer and looked down the top of your dress. "Remember how good I used to make you feel?"
It's true, Ransom Drysdale, knows how to fuck. But you'd already been there and weren't interested in going back any time soon.
"Yes, and I also manage to feel the exact same with my dildo." You smiled at him as his friends laughed before pushing by. "Let go, Ransom!" You pulled your arm, trying to get out of his grip.
"You're being a brat." Ransom hissed.
"Not, intrested." You smacked his shoulder with your fist.
"Everything okay here?"
You gasped, looking over your shoulder at Ari, smiling thankful at him.
"This doesn't concern you, Levinson, back off." Ransom spat at him.
Ari glared at him, puffing his chest out and using his bulking figure to tower easily over Ransom. "It involved me the moment you started hassling this little lady, Drysdale."
Ransom started laughing. "Little lady? Dude, she's a whore."
You gasped and snatched the beer out of Ari's hand, throwing it in Ransom's face before you brought your knee up into his groin. "Fuck you, mommy kink!"
Usually you weren't one to kink shame (you had plenty yourself) but the little bitch deserved it. It was no secret you enjoyed sex (a lot), but you didn't go around sleeping with everyone you ran into. Yes, you were a whore but only for whomever you were with at the time.
Ari slipped his arm around your shoulders with a smirk and guided you away from Ransom and back to where the guys and your friends had moved to. "You owe me, Princess." He teased making you smile.
"Sorry."
He shook his head with a chuckle, "Don't worry... I can think of a few ways you can make it up to me." He winked at you making you blush.
Jake frowned as he watched you laugh with Ari. Why did it have to be him?
For the rest of the night you sat beside Ari, the two of you slowly getting drunk as you chatted and laughed with one another. At some point Ari slipped his arm around your shoulders as you rested your hand in his thigh.
"So, have you told dumbass over there about you sneaking a peak at my dick?" He asked referring to Jake, smirking as you gasped and playfully tapped his chest before giggling.
"I wasn't 'sneaking a peak', Ari." You rolled your eyes at him. "And no, I haven't."
Ari hummed. "Why not? You don't want him to know how much you drooled?" He teased.
Your eyes widened as your mouth fell open. "I did not drool!" Okay, so maybe you did a little.
Ari's head fell back with a laugh. "You so did..." He winked at you as you blushed. "Don't worry, little lady, I'm sure if dumbass over there knew, he would finally make a move."
You looked up at him with a furrowed brow and a pout. "I doubt it. It seems like everyone else can see, except him." You frowned.
Ari hummed. "I don't know how he can't see..." Ari looked down at you and began smirking. "Y'know what might make him see?"
You shook your head as you looked up at him. "What?"
Ari's smirk widened. He reached up with his free hand and pinched your chin with his thumb and index finger. He leaned in close and pressed his lips against yours, slipping his tongue in between your lips as you opened your mouth willingly. You ignored the hoots and hollars from your friends as you let yourself get lost in the kiss.
He pulled back from you with a deep breath, smirking proudly as you chased his lips. "Fancy pretending we're getting outta here and having some fun?"
You bit your lip and glanced over at Jake. He was sat glaring at the two of you.
Ari leaned in and kissed your neck. "It'll really piss him off... Might even bust the door down as I make you cum." He said with a shit eating grin.
You let out a soft laugh and slipped out of the booth, holding your hand out to him. Wanda was right, you did have needs and if Jake wasn't going to make a move then you might as well let Ari do his thing. "How far are you willing to go, Mr Levinson?"
Ari grinned and took your hand. "As far as I'm needed to, to help a friend out." He winked at you. He slipped his arm around your shoulders and the two of you began to leave the bar walking by Jake as you did. "Bye, Jakey." He winked at him.
The moment you left the bar the cold night air hit your warm skin, quickly sobering you up.
"How long you reckon before dumbass comes out here?" Ari asked as you walked down the street.
You shrugged.
Ari looked over his shoulder back into the bar and smirked as he saw Jake walking towards the door. "Trust me?" He asked you.
You laughed. "No."
Ari chuckled and pushed you into the opening of a alley nearby. He crashed his lips against yours as he held your waist. He slowly moved his left hand down your hip and to your thigh, hiking your leg over his hip as he devoured your mouth.
"Can you stop." Jake spoke from behind Ari.
You broke apart and looked towards him, Ari chuckling as he did.
"And why would I do that, Jakey? Someone's gotta look after her snatch." Ari said as he looked back at you. 'Trust me', he mouthed.
Your mouth fell open. "Jerk." You pushed on his shoulder.
Ari laughed again. "What? You know that's all this is, Princess. Your an easy fuck, everyone knows it."
"Hey!" Jake pulled on Ari's shoulder. He pushed him away from you, "Don't speak to her like that, Ari."
Ari laughed again. "C'mon, man. You didn't want her so she's far game."
"You know that's not true." Jake glared at him.
Ari scoffed. "Let a real man fuck her if you're too chicken shit."
You let out a startled gasp as Jake's fist collided with Ari's face. "JAKE!" You called out.
"Touch her again and I'll fucking kill you!" Jake turned to face you and grabbed your hand pulling you out of the alley before you could check if Ari was okay.
Jake was silent as he marched you all the way back to the frat house. "Upstairs. Now." He ordered you as he headed into the kitchen. You opened your mouth to argue as he opened the freezer and grabbed some ice. "NOW!"
You quickly ran upstairs to his room and sat on his bed, unsure what to do. You'd never seen Jake like that. He was usually so calm and collected. Even on the ice he never lost it, that's why he was such a good goalie. He focused and ready to strike at all times.
Jake walked into his bedroom, softly closing the door behind him, barely able to look you in the eye as he sat down at his desk. Silence settled between you as he held ice to his hand.
"Are you hur-"
"We're you really going to sleep with him?" Jake cut you off.
You rolled your eyes. "Of course not."
"So why leave with him?"
You huffed. "Why not? No one else was going take me home." You folded your arms across your chest. "Why do you care?"
Jake shook his head as he kept his focus on his hand.
You drew in a deep breath and stood up. "I'm tired, Jake."
Jake nodded, "I can get you an Uber or-"
"Not like that, Jake!" You huffed. "I meant with you. For months I've tried to let you know how I feel but you just brush it off. I don't know if you're too shy or just don't see or, you don't care, but I like you Jake. I really like you. But I'm tired of waiting for you to do something." You stared at Jake, waiting in silence for him to do something.
He just stared at his hand not speaking a word to you.
You closed your eyes to stop yourself crying, already feeling humiliated enough. "Fine then." You turned around to grab your bag from his bed. "I'll see you around."
"I love you."
Your mouth hung open slightly as you turned to face Jake with your eyes wide. "What?"
He groaned and dropped his head onto his desk. Shit. "I mean... I," He sat h nched over fir a few seconds as he tried to collect his nerves before he sat up and turned to look at you. "I like you too... A lot... But, I'm no good for you. I can't be with you. You're way too beautiful and smart and sexy... For a guy like me, who's a nerd and a dumb hockey player... I'm just not good enough for you, Y/n... I mean, you were going to sleep with Ari, and you were dating that Drysdale kids. I'm nothing like them."
Your brow furrowed, "Oh, Jakey," You sighed softly and walked over to him. You carefully sat in his lap taking Jake by surprise. You wrapped your arm around his neck as you smiled at him. "I know you're nothing like, Ari or Ransom, and that's why I like you. You're smart and funny, and you don't see me as a hole to fill... You've never judged me for, having a healthy appetite for sex."
Jake blushed making you smile.
"Jake," You cupped his cheek and turned his face towards you. "You're not a dumb hockey player. You're nothing like the other guys. And you're not a nerd," Jake gave you a pointed look making you giggle. "Okay, so you are a nerd, but you make it sexy." You smiled sweetly at him, making him blush even more. "And I wasn't going to sleep with, Ari. He was just... helping us out." You smiled at him. "You owe him an apology by the way."
Jake nodded. "I know." He looked down as he placed his hand on your knee.
"Jake," You whispered and lifted his gaze to meet yours. "I really like you."
Jake began grinning at you. "M'sorry I've been so dumb."
You laughed at him. "Just kiss me, Jake."
He nodded. His eyes fell your lips as he licked his lips before he closed the gap between you and pressed his soft lips against yours. His large hands gently kneaded your thigh making you moan against his mouth.
A startled shriek left you as the rest of the team barged into Jake's room, blowing party whistles. Sam pulled you off Jake's knee as some of the guys jumped up onto his bed whilst blowing their whistles. The others grabbed Jake and hauled him up off his chair. Steve, Bucky, Lloyd and Ari each grabbed a limb and began to throw him in the air like they do to each other after a victory.
"PUT ME DOWN!" Jake called out mid air looking a little green.
"This is what you get for punching me, you dick." Ari laughed.
You rolled your eyes and folded your arms across your chest. "Can you boys hurry up. I kinda wanted to suck his dick."
DREAMZZZ season2 (part 2) spoilers
(It's really just me making random comments on the episodes)
Episode 17
Yes, Izzie. We're going to the beast realm-
Dizzy apparently is still here- what. Are they buddies now? Or what
Wildoria- ooh
Z! Don't eat that-
Nova jumping behind Iz. (Nice to see Nova and Sneak more often)
Toss it our of the rift?? Ohh- I can already see this is a bad idea.
And Z spit it out. Good. And it's also something really important. Of course it is.
Beast master. Sounds like he would have the crown of control- cause he's the master. Y'know?
Make Nova dream about Wildoria? Wow- and she specifically said "I'm glad I'm.not going"
Ooh! So they didn't forget about the birthday. Good. And I guess Mateo isn't completely avoiding Jasmine of Jasmine chose to call Mateo instead of Izzie. Or maybe Izzie just didn't pick up-
Montage!!
Woah- okay Izzie. No more rad radioactive. Please- you had enough already
She's crafty too, isn't she
Mateo doesn't like change- he's accepting it. But he's taking his time... oh... this just like the Never Witch
It's Sneak's drink. Oh my god- you can't just steal other people's stuff
Zoey narrating. And does it well?? Really well-
Okay- what is that temple-(and yes. The animals definitely do look like they are under control
He came in through the rift! He isn't dreaming! Oh gos- I have so many questions now
Okay Claudius. He is wearing the crown as suspected-
Living the dream! (But literally)
I kind of like this Claudius guy
He seems lonely. And.. a freak kinda
...Izzie? Is.. is she okay? I don't think she is-
Wow. Sneak is great at voice acting
She won't be able to fall asleep. No sir. Definitely not
Now she's pissed. It's your own fault
At least the food is edible. I thought it be like.. bugs- but then again. They have bugs among them. So I guess that would be like.. cannibalism-
Why did you tell him that there's more powerful artifacts! No! He's the kind that's crazy for power isn't he!
Animal abuse-
Hm. Nevermind I hate this guy.
Good thinking Zoey
The tickling vines
"Inspiring him to take a shower"
Apparently he showers with his clothes on. Question. Do you need to shower in the dream realm?
Jumping rope?
Cooper keeps trying to do stuff- which.. is good. Yeah. And he's getting creative. Thinking outside the box and all that
Oh- you okay?...
Okay- the fly trap looks creepy. And how is Nova so peaceful- cute
Does he have that crown glued on his head?! The heck??
Ooh. Mind control??
Also- really? Scaring your friend in a dream? Really?? That's the plan?
Sack him? Oh gosh. Well it worked. But Zoey isn't being controlled. Welp- better luck next time(she dodged the darn thing?? How??)
Izzie- no- no oh my god.
C-rex looks amazing with all that lighting
Also, is Cooper holding a guy in a sack. Over his shoulder. With one hand- it's a dream but still
"WHERE IS THE RIFT"
Cooper!
Apparently controlling people isn't the only thing he can do. Or were they controlled to wake up
And the rift clised- and they got doom domed! And Logan is... really good at falling asleep (so sweet how he stays with her)
And Clause is really dumb
Episode 18
Power hungry dude. (With good hearing)
He is real trouble.
Oh no- Logans a giant panda! (...Izzie likes it?) Oh no- he isn't good.
Look at the four of them together- watching that tiny dome-
Suffering for Izzie
"Izzie's gone!"
"Logan isn't answering his phone, Mateo's freaking out, and Mr. Oz well.... he's not helping"
"Izzie's gone!!"
"I was such a jerk to Izzie last night! I'm her brother! I'm supposed to take care of her!"
"Izzie's gone-!"
The amount of stuff going on here- chaos. I love the chaos. And also, Mateo being a sweet brother-🥺
Mateo blaming himself😭😭 oh my goddd
Supportive friends
Omg! The party-!
"Izzie's gone?!"
Wait- aren't we in the waking world? How is Dizzy here?? (Also, my theory was- kind of right?? Yay!!)
I really wanted to see the clones out in the waking world. But working together... that's not what I expected. Still good though
Oh- the nightmare thing at school-
"Izzie's gone?"
"Oh Izzie's gone??"
Izzie's new outfit! So that's why it's animal themed...
"Maybe this will knock some sense into you!" *attempts to smash her friends head*
Mrs. Castillo notices that Dizzy looks different
"Are you crazy? I don't eat cobras! Some of my best friends are cobras!!"
Wow-
Cooper's a great actor (and Mateo's staring at him like he's crazy)
Ooh the gems are pretty
Oh- and she lost Bunchu
Logan! (His hair looks like Lance-)
"Oh Izzie! I'm so sorry-"
How did he wake up??
Dizzy... you're not even trying
And.. logan is a wolf now. Okay. Sure... makes... sense
"Oh, it's, uh, a new online challenge?"
He's great at lying now
"Uh.. not sure Logan's in control anymore"
"Was he ever?"
Mrs. Putnam- wow. He really fell asleep fast
The griffen is... sorta helping? Zinnia is a nice name
Oh- no she's not
She really has a lot of talents
Wow. She changes so darn much and people are just going "Oh. Okay. Well anyways-"
Middle-schoolers. Haha.
Karaoke~
"Dizzy! You're a genius"
"Wow-! I've never gotten a compliment before"
Ohhh I see it coming now~~
Oh- they still have resistance(way with animals)
Uh- what did she put in the punch? Pickle?? Oh-
Dizzy is really good at bad-
"Spicy! Hot! Hot!" (Her voice- unique)
Izzie is being smart
The party.. is going to shit
Mateo likes it. Well- of course. I mean this kind of stuff is fun-
She's motivational- dang..
The cake-
Can't feel my tongue no more- how bad is it?!
Food fight!!
Logan! Noooo
The nice conversation between Dizzy and Mateo
"Oh dang- uh, they're totally gonna eat him, arent they" Ohhh he's in for it now
"No one should use this crown!"
"Greaat. Now the space car blows up on my watch too. Hah hah- Mr. Oz is never gonna let me drive his ships again"
And um.. technically, he isn't allowed to drive. I know it's a dream. But still-
"What ships? Grab my hand!"
....my brain is hopeless (Cooper× Zoey?)
