how do you do your photo sessions? is it just you and your camera or is someone else taking photos ? theyre all so cool and im rlly curious as to how you do it !!!!!!
I’m so glad someone finally asked this, I was just talking about this with someone and honestly it is SO funny.
The trick is: as long as you’ve got a camera, luck, and at least one tripod—along with understanding of some basic photography and a good imagination—you can do a LOT. I’m known for having whacky set ups! My sister helps me with them when I can’t do them all myself and let me tell you, we’ve come up with some weird things. I’ve been teaching my sister what I know about photography and film over the years, so she’s been a big help getting my own photos done, and in return I do ones for her.
Tumblr media
In most of my photos, I’m in the bathroom. I don’t care what you think you see, I’m probably in the bathroom. Bathrooms have great lighting most of the time, and our bathroom has a skylight which is great natural lighting. If you don’t have access to a lot of professional lighting, setting up rigs in front of windows is great. I love using everyday objects and making them look ambiguous to suit my needs for a different object. My “halo” is literally a paper plate. I’m wearing a pillowcase. I set up the camera, my sister just had to check my positioning and lighting and click the button since I don’t have a remote.
Tumblr media
Again, I am in the bathroom. I’m still sitting on top of a counter. This one, we stacked some boxes haphazardly and put our lighting on top, which is usually this really bright survivalist lantern. I also taped a clip lamp to a tripod. My sister was standing on the opposite bathroom counter. It was so hot in there so I was in shorts and thigh highs, but you wouldn’t know that just by the photo
Tumblr media
I was in my bedroom for this one! A couple of tripods, an edited background, and a suggestive expression was all I needed to make this look like the Lieutenant and I were having a Good Time in his trench lodgings. If you don’t have an actual historical object like a swagger stick, a wooden spoon with a thimble on the end works too (as I found out). If you get creative enough, there are tons of objects and clothing you can fake. And yes my phone mount for the tripod is literally a macaron box I fashioned to hold my phone
Tumblr media
This is a great example of knowing how to frame your subject. We loved the treeline in the back garden because it resembled being out in nature, but we have a rather unattractive space out there surrounding it. To solve this, I got up on a high stool and my sister knelt down below and shot the photo from the nearer the ground. You would never know just out of frame was a garage, a trash heap, a shed, a truck, and other suburban houses.
Tumblr media
I’ll let you take a guess as to where I’m at for this one.... yes it’s the bathroom again. This time I’m by this awkward corner on the floor near the tub. We stacked a hamper on top of the tub and rolled some foam into a cone to direct lighting from a phone and lantern at my face. There was no angle to take the photo without running into the tub or shower so my sister had to take it in the tub. My knees and abs were killing me cos I had to half-kneel for the position, and strain my eyes to look up. There was also a low tripod behind me to drape my “mantle” over to keep it from falling flat against my back.
Tumblr media
I don’t even know how to explain this one and I couldn’t even fit it all in the drawing. We got in front of the downstairs window, hung the same white bedsheet I use so much from the ceiling, I knelt on a chair, and I set up the tripod just out of frame in that drawing. We basically gathered every lamp we could reasonably put in the window sill and took the shades off two tall lamps or optimal lighting. I taped bee magnets to my skin. The “clouds” are actually just pulled apart cotton balls taped to a straw and held in various positions in front of the lens. Perfect perspective play.
An honourable mention was my audio set up for my October ghost video.
Tumblr media
I don’t have professional audio equipment aside from a Yeti mic, so we had to get creative with how we would get the mic close enough to the subject. Yes, that is a tripod duct taped to another tripod and counter weighted by a bag of books. My mic is literally screwed into a socket it’s not supposed to even be in on the end of the tripod and the cord for it wouldn’t reach the couch to my laptop so I had to stack a stool on a chair next to this incredible contraption with the laptop on top so it could reach. How this entire thing did not collapse at any point is beyond me. (Can you tell I love tape and lamps?)
For photo editing programs, I hate editing on the computer and I will eat my own shoes before I give Adobe any of my money, so I use Enlight and Afterlight 2 from the App Store on my phone, and also FaceTune for certain face corrections. Afterlight 2 has a filter called “Himalaya” which is VERY similar to how 1880s-1920s photos looked and the app has plenty of dust overlays to make your photo look old. Enlight I use for broader ranges of image correction and background editing. Some examples of old photos I’ve done with a combination of those apps:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
My sister and I are very resourceful and creative whenever we do these things. I don’t have any formal training in photography, I just have a vision of what I want and I try to do what I can to achieve it. I’ve had photographers with masters degrees in photography tell me it’s astounding I’ve been able to achieve photo results that rival their own with what limited resources I had while they had access to everything under the sun at their uni.
In short, all I really do is pull out my camera and some tripods and other makeshift items with a photoset in my mind, and sometimes I burst into my sister’s room standing like “hi welcome to chili’s” if I need some assistance

Crash Course - Bucky Barnes
a/n: this one? im in LOVE with this fic and im not even ashamed of it. there is just something about the MC helping him get used to living in the new century and im a sucker for it. so please enjoy this fluffy piece!
pairing: Bucky X Reader
word count: 3.6k
summary: Bucky is a regular at the café where you work at and seeing him struggling with technology, you offer to help him, teaching him the basics while you are both thinking about taking it a little further than just a crash course.
masterlist
Tumblr media
The time between the morning rush and lunch time is always quiet, the café is almost completely empty, that’s why Bucky prefers to go out during that time, tuck himself away in the corner of the small but cozy place, a black coffee steaming on the wooden table in front of him, his laptop or a book or his phone reserving his attention, whatever he decides to put his energy into that day.
Today has been a rainy day, therefore the morning was a lot quieter than usually, not many likes to make an extra trip for a coffee in the pouring rain, so you’ve been enjoying the calmness, the soft jazz music playing through the speakers as you are putting away the freshly washed cups behind the counter. As if he has an appointment, Bucky walks into the café with a laptop under his arm, his cap hiding part of his face, but you can still see the shy smile on his lips as he closes the door behind him, the little bell chiming for a second time at his arrival.
“Welcome back, the usual?” you ask as he heads to his spot.
“Yes please,” he nods, shooting you a thankful smile.
You try to ignore the little butterflies in your stomach at the sight of the man, it’s almost ridiculous how you still get nervous when you see him, even though he has been showing up every day at the same time for the past about two months. You just can’t help it, there’s just something in those ocean eyes and perfect manner he always treats you with, something you don’t often get these days. Not many take the time to ask about your day or wish you a good one after you hand them their coffee, but Bucky is different. The same question falls from his lips every time you appear at his table with his order.
“How has your day been going?” he asks when you place the cup next to his laptop that’s loading.
“Pretty quiet, the rain keeps people away,” you chuckle, hoping your blush is not as apparent as it feels. “What about yours?”
“Just the same as usual,” he smiles softly and you nod, though you have no idea what’s usual for him. He might be friendly and quite welcoming when he is sitting at the café, he often chats with you about anything and everything, yet still, you know near nothing about him and his life outside of this place. It’s clear he is the kind of person that prefers to keep things to himself, but sometimes you are so desperate for just the smallest crumb of information about him. With the lack of details, you often find yourself making up things about him, like what his favorite dish is, where he likes to shop, what shows he watches on the TV. You might be entirely wrong about all of these, but it’s all you have.
Moving back behind the counter you busy yourself with cleaning it off as Bucky’s attention shifts to the screen in front of him. There are only two more customers in there and they are quite locked away in their own world as well, a college student working on some kind of assignment on her second espresso and an old lady solving Sudoku at the table near the window, sipping on a nice latte.
You can’t help but glance in his direction every now and then as you move the muffins around on the counter. He seems deeply focused, eyebrows knitted together as he is clicking away on the computer. From the looks of it, he is solving some kind of enigma, but when you walk past his table you see that he has an email open on the screen, his cursor moving around kind of aimlessly.
“Not finding the right words?” you ask, stopping to clean the table next to his that was previously occupied by a young couple. His eyes snap up to you before he huffs shaking his head.
“No, I’m just… terribly bad at IT stuff and I’m supposed to “CC” someone on this email,” he explains, using his fingers to air-quote as he glances back at the screen. “But if I’m being honest I don’t even know what it means,” he admits with a nervous chuckle.
You find it amusing, even cute that he is like an old man with these stuff. You’ve seen him struggling to type in a text message before on his flip phone that’s from the last century for sure and now this.
Placing the tray of cups down on the table you move over to him, taking the free chair next to him as you reach for the laptop, but you stop before touching it.
“May I…?”
“Go ahead,” he gestures with a nod.
You turn the device towards yourself as you click a few times, bringing up the option to send a copy of the email to another receiver.
“CC means that more people get the same email. You can put their addresses here. But you can also BCC people, in that case, the original receiver won’t see if the email was sent to others as well,” you explain patiently. Bucky tries his best to focus on the screen and what you’re saying, rather than the way your lips are moving and how badly he wants to taste them.
You haven’t been the only one feeling flustered and like a giddy teenager and Bucky didn’t choose this café as his usual spot for nothing. He spotted you the first time he stumbled in and the way you smiled brightly at everyone and the sweet chiming of your laughter made him want to come back the moment he stepped out that day. So he returned the next day and then the next day again… and now he couldn’t even imagine a day without seeing your eyes light up when he walks in while he can only hope you are just as happy to see him as he is to see you.
You help him send his email and you cheer in victory once it’s done and sent.
“See? It’s not as hard as it seems,” you smile at him gently, patting his arm that’s covered by a hoodie and your eyes fall onto his gloved hands on the tabletop.
“Yeah, I just have a lot of catching up to do from the past seven decades,” he mumbles under his breath, though he immediately regrets not keeping his mouth shut.
Your eyes flicker to his hand once again, then up to meet his gaze and he knows he just outed himself. He is expecting the usual: disgust, disappointment, even fear. That’s how most people react when they find out who he really is. But as he stares back at you, scared like a little kitten, you just smile back at him softly.
It’s not that you haven’t heard of the Avengers, because it’s impossible not to know who they are. You were just not expecting one of them to become a regular at your working place. The few times you saw him on TV he had long hair and his face was covered with a mask, so you’re not surprised you didn’t put the picture together. But knowing now who he is, you don’t see him in a worse lighting. If anything, you feel a little sad that he had to go through so much in his extremely long life.
“Well, feel free to ask any more questions. I’m not an IT guy, but I can help you with everyday stuff,” you tell him and he is in awe at your very normal, very sweet reaction. All he can do is nod as you stand from the table and grab the tray you abandoned not long ago, moving back behind the counter.
When you glance up your gaze meets his as he is still staring at you, nervous, a little anxious, but definitely relieved by your smooth reaction to finding out his identity. You shoot him a bright smile before moving to the table of the old lady who asks for another latte and as Bucky follows your frame move across the room he can’t help the small smile that tugs on his lips.
Your offer doesn’t stay unused. In fact, Bucky shows up at the café the next few days with a handful of questions for you, genuine ones, and a few he already knows the answer to, but wants to hear you explain them anyway. And you help him with anything, sitting at his table whenever you have a few free minutes between customers. He asks you about the internet, social media, online data bases and sources, going through a list from the little notebook he always keeps with himself.
The times spent with him are your favorite part of the day. You always look forward to whatever issue Bucky is going to bring up, fearing that one day he might run out of questions, but that just never comes. And you don’t know it, but your little sessions are the highlights of his days as well, listening to your smooth voice as you explain even the smallest things to him with so much patience, he is convinced you should become a teacher.
He thinks about asking you out every day, the question is always on the tip of his tongue.
What are you doing tonight? Would you want to go out with me? Do you want to grab a bite with me after your shift?
However he just never gets to actually say the words out loud. He is growing impatient with himself, he used to have no problem with asking girls out, but seven decades and another life as a brain-washed assassin later, this task feels way too impossible.
You’ve been telling him to get a smartphone for the past couple of days and though he seemed adamant, one day he shows up with a brand new one, still in the box.
“Oh my God, is that what I think it is?” you tease him with a dramatic gasp. Chuckling to himself he nods as he places the box to the counter while you are making the order of one of the customers. Today has been a little busier than usually, probably because of the special offer of 10% off from the new Cuban coffee beans your boss ordered in.
“I need a teacher to show me the ropes though.”
“Oh, Bucky, I would love to, but today is a bit crowded,” you pout as you put the lid onto the paper cup and hand it over to the customer, another one already walking in, eyeing the offer written on the black board behind you.
He didn’t even think you wouldn’t say yes, it never occurred to him that the timing might not be the best. You see as his smile slowly disappears from his scruffy face and your heart breaks seeing him like this.
“Yeah, sorry. Don’t want to keep you up,” he mumbles feeling defeated, but before he could grab the box from the counter, you put your hand on it, your fingers brushing against his gloved one, the tiny touch making both of you flustered.
“But how about after work?” you suggest and his eyes immediately light up. Spending time with you without any customers interrupting? That sounds like heaven to him.
“Y-you sure? If you have something to do, I—“
“Nothing to do,” you smile at him. You grab a napkin from the counter and a pan from near the cash register, quickly scribbling down your address before handing it over to him. “I’ll be home by seven,” you inform him as he glances down at your handwriting, noting how well it fits your personality. He then looks back at you nodding, as if he was just handed the best Christmas present ever.
“I’ll be there,” he smiles gratefully before stepping away from the counter and letting you work.
Five minutes after seven, Bucky is standing at your front door with a bag of Chinese food in his hands as he is trying to build up the courage to ring your doorbell. He found out that you live just a few corners away from the café, so he found your address easily.
“Come on, dude. Don’t be such a loser,” he mumbles to himself as he circles his shoulders before finally pushing the button. A short, buzzing sound is heard from the other side of the door and he stares at the 6B sign in front of you as he hears footsteps from inside. A few moments later the door swings open and there you are, still wearing the same clothes from earlier, a bright smile adorning your face as you beam at your guest.
“Come on in!” you gesture for him as he steps into the small apartment. “Tried to clean up a bit, but if I’m being honest I’m starting to grow out this place,” you chuckle as you push a box out of the way. It’s a small studio apartment with everything cramped into one space except the bathroom. You have a double bed pushed up against the wall in the corner, a small sofa with your wardrobe next to it, a TV, a tiny coffee table, a bookshelf and a dresser, a little dining table near the kitchen with three chairs and a pantry right next to the fridge that stands where the hardwood floor changes into checkered tiles. It really is a tiny space that holds a lot of stuff, but all the gadgets and clutter makes it cozy, lived-in, a place that’s so much like you that he feels like he is peeking inside your head as he walks farther inside.
“I brought dinner,” he shyly holds the bag up as you lock the door.
“Oh, you shouldn’t have!” you smile at him gratefully, because you didn’t really have time to buy anything on your way home since you had to make a quick trip to the post office after your shift, leaving you no spare time before his arrival.
“It’s the least I can do for all the help,” he smiles as you take the bag from him and bring it to the designated living room area of the place. Bucky joins you on the sofa and he thanks all higher powers your place is so small that you only have a loveseat, giving him the chance to sit close to you. Your thigh brushes against his as you hand him a box and make yourself comfortable as well, starting your feast while he asks you about your day, listening to your every word intently.
When the food is gone and you’ve grabbed two beers for the two of you, he pulls out the phone that’s the reason behind his visit. He bought a simple one, not at all one of the latest versions and it’s going to be the perfect model for him to learn the ropes on.
You help him put his SIM card into the new phone and then you set his account up before finally gaining access to the phone. You start with the basic features, showing him how to make a call or send a text before moving onto the different apps and possibilities while he listens to you as if you were talking about rocket science, but in a way, it feels like that for him.
“And here you can switch to the front camera,” you explain as you push the button and suddenly, the two of you come into picture on the screen. “Perfect for taking selfies,” you add with a chuckle.
“Oh, selfies. I’m not too good with those,” he huffs shaking his head.
“Because you probably haven’t found your angle!” you smirk. “Everyone has a good angle.”
“You think so?” you knits his eyebrows together.
“Mhm, look!”
Opening the contacts you go to yours, choosing the option to add a picture that will show up on the screen when you call him, and open the camera to take one instead of choosing from the empty gallery. Holding up the phone you position it so your good angle is in the picture before snapping the photo and saving it as your caller ID.
“See?” you smile at him before handing the device back to him. He just nods, even though he can only think about how all your angles are perfect to him and that now he has a picture of you in his phone. “Let’s take one together!” you beam and moving closer to him you take the phone once again, holding it up in front of you, trying to fit both of you into the frame.
Bucky tries his best to focus on the picture, but he can’t ignore how close you are to him, he can smell your shampoo and your cheek is almost pressed against his as you smile into the camera. The corners of his mouth curl up as his eyes fix at your reflection on the screen before you snap the photo. Opening up the camera roll you take a better look at it and it’s probably your favorite photo that has ever been taken of you. Mostly because he is in it as well, smiling so sweetly.
“It’s a good one,” you say and as you turn your head to the side you realize how close you really are to him.
“Yeah?” he breathes out, definitely aware of just the few inches separating the two of you.
“I-if you had an Instagram I would tell you to post it…” you stutter as your eyes flicker down to his lips, the urge to lean in and kiss him growing with each passing second.
Feeling a little dizzy, one of your hands fall to his lower arm, the one that’s made out of metal and your gaze drops to where you are touching him, a panic filled look flashing through his eyes.
He thinks that this is where the moment is ruined, where you realize the monster he really is and decide you don’t want anything to do with him. He almost starts to apologize for God knows what reason when you reach out and your fingers start to work on the straps of his gloves. It takes a few moments for him to realize what you are doing, and he tries to pull his hand back, but you grab it stopping him from doing it.
“It’s alright,” you smile at him softly, your eyes meeting his as you finish what you started and pull the glove off his hand revealing the metal underneath the leather. Then you move onto his other hand and do the same, dropping the pair of gloves to the floor as you take both his hands in yours, thumbs running across his knuckles, feeling the difference between his own hand and the artificial one.
You see his jaw flexing at the touch and reaching up you cup his cheek in your palm, making him to look you in the eyes. The strong and confident man you see sometimes is gone now, fear and hesitation taking over his expression as your other hand keeps holding his vibranium one.
“I’m sorry,” it falls from his lips as he closes his eyes for a second.
“For what exactly?” you ask with a soft chuckle. “There’s nothing wrong with you. You don’t have to hide yourself around me.”
“You don’t find it… scary?”
“Not at all,” you assure him. “You can’t be held accountable for what happened to you. Anyone who thinks differently is just an ignorant asshole,” you add grinning and it finally breaks his fearful expression, planting a smile on his handsome face.
Keeping your hand on his cheek you lean closer, your nose touching his but you stop before your lips could meet, giving him the chance to pull back. But he never does. Instead, he closes the gap between the two of you, pressing his lips against yours, finally making the fantasy you both have been daydreaming about reality. He starts off slowly, savoring each other gently, getting accustomed to the feeling, but it doesn’t take long before the kiss grows hungrier and your tongues meet in the middle.
Your hands rest at the base of his neck while his find your waist, pulling you closer until you swing a leg over him, sitting on his lap as you smile against his lips. His kisses feel delicate and soft yet very passionate at the same time, you love the dynamic you create, tugging and biting each other playfully, it feels like kissing him is the sole purpose of your life.
When it gets hard for you to breathe you pull back, eyes opening and finding his flushed face as he stares back at you with bright, joyous eyes, his lips slightly swollen, already making you want to go back to where you were just a moment ago.
“Who knew selfies could be so much fun,” he jokes making you laugh, his heart fluttering in his chest at the sound that’s so dear to him.
“I’m glad you liked my crash course on smart phones,” you grin down at him, your fingers tracing the sharp line of his jaw. “Do you have any more questions?”
Smirking his hand, his flesh one, moves up your back as he presses you closer, your lips almost touching his.
“Oh, I’ve got plenty,” he chuckles before kissing you again eagerly.

Tumblr media
Throughout the big room no light shone through the thick curtains which had separated the working place from the window that lead to the outside world.
As the busy streets in the afternoon spring sun, came to an end, only the tired clicking and ticking could be heard. The static of the TV wired to one of the main bodies of the computers flickered and played over the loud chirping of the long-billed plovers. As the rainy days came to an end, the smell of fresh gras was almost visible, though the headquarters seemed to only know serious work.
The (H/C) haired only sighed, noticing their long friend and colleague working on a file absentmindedly.  Normally, a person who didn’t know the infamous detective L, they’d always find his behavior questioning, but would never interfere- thinking the male would work that way. Though (Y/N) knew, this wasn’t his 100%, something must be on his mind.
Glancing, almost stalking him for a while, they thought the genius would notice their stares, which he usually does, but for some reason his nail biting only intensified. Having talked to Watari, L’s personal butler, both of them ad agreed on trying to remind the man to stop his habit. Even this genius is human and gets trapped by simple anxious habits.
“Ryuzaki-”, calling him with his alias during working time and while on the open, he tensed up, “Stop your nail biting.”.
Even with their soft tone escaping their rosy but now colored in a beautiful darker shade he seemed to grow more nervous. “Besides, isn’t it time for a break? I’ve noticed the past couple of hours you’re not acting like yourself.”, looking around, the noticed they were alone. “Are you okay?”, they asked in a hushed tone.
Looking around, L noticed the big, round and innocent looking (E/C) orbs,  staring back into his dark irises, worry etched on their face. Their make-up and unique style fitting and contradicting to their profession as always, L rushed his thought that they’d probably make a better model than Misa-Misa.  But it would be a waste to their current investigation and future cases, due to their outstanding performance as his right hand.
Inching closer to L their (E/C) eyes narrowed, squinting ever so slightly. L didn’t make any movement, not a flinch. Their eyes would notice everything, even the slightest squirm. Quickly turning around though, L shrugged “Whatever you are talking about-”, taking a hold of his sugary cup of tea, the male stood up to leave, ”You’re right, it is indeed time for a break.”, opening the door, he left the dazzled one behind: “Monitor each fottage I left please, thanks (Y/N)”
Taking a long sip out of his plain white cup filled with a half of tea and the other half of sugar, L placed down the now empty cup on to a silver tray, that mostly Watari used to transport little sandwiches for each hard working inspector and treats for the detective. Taking some time to think about the events, L let his hands slide into his pockets, though stopped mid way as he had noticed that certain ping sound coming from the elevator.
Looking up, it was the said model: Misa-Misa, with her blond hair swaysing each step she too and the extraordinary Lolita-Goth look he oh so liked on his partner. Meeting her sea blue eyes, her facial expression lit up and her friendly and happy go lucky demeanor showed: “Ryuuakiii!”, waving her hand at him while dragging the letter “i” into an annoying laughing fit, she revealed a fashion magazine in her left.
“Good afternoon, Misa.”, waving back to the blonde, though with less enthusiasm, he asked, “Were you on your way to see (Y/N)?”, mentioning the magazine in Misas hand. “Oh yes!”, holding the magalogue into view, showing proudly the front page which contained the last few shootings the model mentioned the week before her last visit, “I wanted to show them the new copy we’ve been waiting for and--”, L cut her off by raising his hand, “Sorry, you can’t see them right now, it’s still working time, Misa.”
“Aww, seriously? You probably just want them all for yourself!”, pouting, Misa just crosse3d her arms before her chest, but L remained silent, softly repeating her words to himself “All for myself?”. The blonde looked up, a curious gaze meeting the raven haired, “So you do want her all to yourself!”, giggling, the model covered up her red lips with her free hand. “I’m not quite sure what you mean by that, they are a person on their own, I can’t simply restrict and own them.”
“Of course you know what I mean, you’re a genius, you should know!”, sighing, the blonde twirled a lose strand of hair between her middle and pointy finger: “Maybe all of that sugar did get to you..”,mocking the male, L just shrugged, “I don’t think so.”
But this did got him thinking: Does he truly want them all to himself? It indeed has been now quite the long time he was restless while working, not entirely there. His mind wandering off into an imaginative world or worrisome state whenever (Y/N) wouldn’t be around- no, scratch that, it didn’t matter, he quickly noticed.
Wether they’d be there or not, his mind was partly fixated on their well being. Though wasn’t it always like that? They’ve been partners for a really long time, longer than his knowledge of Naomi Misora for sure, and friends too.
He read a lot of things during his early days, a lot about solving different puzzles and games, but he could never wrap his hand around when they came.
His experimental time with how feelings would work while (Y/N) were partners were over, he saw himself to them as an equal by now, but what if- “Helloo, earth to Ryuzaki!”, waving the magazine in front of the famous detective, Misa huffed, “Man, bet you’re thinking about (Y/N) if it takes you that long to get out of your dreamy thoughts”, gifting him a look of her tongue, she mocked him again, “You should try that brain-work on finding Kira! I wanna go on a date with Light already again, he promised!”, a date?
Maybe a little trip, spending the day with his friend would make the situation a bi8t lighter- finding out about his true thoughts and feelings that hid in his clouded mind. “Can’t believe I’m saying this-”, he murmured, “But: Misa, I might or might not need your help with something.”, he bluntly responded, ignoring her witty comments., “Help? With what?”, again, her airy head. Sighing, L explained another time, “You see, you’re such an emotional person, where I’m more technical.”, shoving his hands into his pockets, in a hunched position he began to walk, motioning her to follow him into a room across the hall, “The past few days I might’ve felt a little bit under the weather and I do have my suspicion, but to be honest, even as a detective, I can’t help but not be able to solve this mystery on my own, Misa.”
Opening the door, he held it open for the young woman to step inside. “What do you mean under the weather? Are you sick?”
“I wouldn’t exactly call it sick, when it’s just a feeling, I believe, and not just a condition.”, he stated, scratching his had as he continued to stay while Misa took the opportunity to relax her legs and sit down on to a couch. “Wait, was I maybe right when I said you might have a thing for (Y/N)?”, noticing how L had perked up by hearing their name, Misas sea blue eyes seemed to sparkle a few shades lighter, already rosy cheeks deepening. “Awww~ Ryuzaki, really?”, she cooed at the usually emotionless acting detective.
Like previously mentioned, he’s also just a human.
“For a long time now, I want to find out about these thoughts that were kept in the back of my head.”, especially now the most dangerous case since Beyond Birthday, everyday might as well be the last day that he would glance at their beautiful eyes, and their wonderful perfume reaching his nose. “I’m just not sure how”
Eyes softening along with her features, Misas excitement toned down and switched with a warm smile, noticing how lost the male was when it came to the most basic human needs, “It’s fairly easy on finding out how you feel about them, Ryuzaki.”
“If it would be that easy, I wonder why I can’t put my finger on it”, lifting his thumb to his mouth he began biting down on his nail, eyes following the trail of the skyline, visible due to the opened window.
Standing up and entrusting her weight back to her feet, Misas smile never wavered, “Why don’t you just ask them out?”
Dark eyes wandering back to the model, he raised a brow: “I work with them every day, I see (Y/N) every day.”
“I don’t mean as a colleague or as a friend, Ryuzaki. I’m sure they’ll say yes regardless and besides, spending a day with (Y/N) will give you surely an idea if not a start of your thesis on how to feel about them!”, looking up at the taller male with a determined look, Misa Amane was more than sure: “And if the firt time won’t be enough, the ask them out again and again and again, until you got your answer.”, making her way to the door, she stepped out. “It’s not too late and not too cold to go yet.”, winking to the male she laughed one last time
“Take them out-”, she waved, “There is this pretty nice café down the block! I’ll come around another time!”, with that, she had left.
Thinking over the blondes words, she must be right. Besides, some time off shouldn’t hurt, it never does. Slow steps were heard as L Lawliet made his way towards the ain investiation room, where he had left (Y/N) to continue his work, so none of the progress was lost.
Not forgetting any manners, he knocked, signaling that someone would come in and not startle them. “Oh, you’re back.”, their angelic like voice greeted the male. “Yeah, though it’s now you’re turn for a break, it’s time to wrap things up.”
Swallowing his build up lumb which seemed to sit tight above his adams apple, he stood straight, expression not changing: “Would you want to go out with me?”
Turning around swiftly, (H/C) hair danced around their pretty head in the process as their eyes widened and cheeks reddened.
“There is this pretty nice café down the block.”, he said.
Seeing them smile set her at ease, nodding (Y/N) only laughed, “Sure, L. Let’s go.”
Turning off the computers, (Y/N) stood up to join L’s side and walk down the hall towards the elevator. Smiling the whole way towards the Café and while being with him, (Y/N) couldn’t be happier.
Happy that Misa had come with her obnoxiously loud voice, gaining (Y/N)’s attention on the other side of the door and happy that the whole building is bugged.
No, they didn’t neglect their work- (Y/N) did monitor the fottage, though L did not necessarily mention which one.
Just like spring had brought the most wonderful flowers, a relationship blossoming would soon follow up.

Pornstar
Pairings: Colson x Reader
Warnings/Tags: rough sex, anal sex, face fucking, gagging, spit, spitting in mouth, slight bondange, golden showers, pissing in mouth, slapping across face, being filmed.
A/N: Shout out to Shawnie ( @heytheregreeneyes) for always letting me use her as my OC and being my best friend. Also Colson isn’t MGK in this, just a pornstar so his personality isn’t as cocky as he usually is. I know I’ve mentioned it before but the sex in this is loosely based off my fave porn star Small Hands AKA Aaron Thompson. Hope this was worth the wait. Lemme know what you think! “Open it, open it!” Your roommate and best friend Shawnie stood before you with a gift bag in hand, shaking it excitedly.
“My birthday’s not even until this weekend,” You laughed taking the bag from her. “You sure you don’t want me to wait? It’s only a few more days.”
“ No please, I’ve kept this a secret for long enough, it’s killing me! Just open it!” She exclaimed. “Plus your gonna need time to prepare.”
“Prepare?”
“C’mom, just open it, open it, open it!!!” She was far too excited. You wondered what it could be that she was so eager to give you. But what you pulled out of the bag just left you with even more questions.
“Thanks???” You said confused, holding up a sexy red lace bra and matching g- string that tied at hips.
“That’s only part of it,” she assured you. “What’s your biggest wish?” She tried to clue you in.
“Ummm paying off all my student debt?” You answered still puzzled. “Did you get me a job as a stripper?” You laughed.
“Okay, maybe ‘wish’ was the wrong word to use … hmmm—oh biggest fantasy!” She corrected herself.
“Oh to fuck my favorite porn star Huge Hands, AKA Colson Baker. You know that — wait … no, no way!”  You exclaimed as your friend started frantically nodding her head yes. “Shut up!!! What? You’re kidding. Like how?”
“Look in the bag . There’s more!”
You reached into the bag and pulled out a pass of some kind and read it aloud. “Huge Hands/Colson Baker : Exclusive Access, Porn Star for a Day pass”
“They were super limited, I have no clue how I managed to snag one, but I’m so happy I did! The look on your face right now is priceless!” Shawnie laughed. “It’s probably because you’re the only one I know who’s  crazy enough to actually go through with this.”
“I-I don’t even know what to say. I have no words… thank you.” You expressed your gratitude, still in shock. “I’m really about to have the best sex of my life this weekend! On my birthday yet! Have you seen his fucking cock, it’s huuuge!”
“Yes, many times,” Shawnie chuckled , entertained by how pumped you are. “Or did you forget about all the links of his umm ‘work’ you’ve sent me?” Shawnie wasn’t big on porn herself but she was always willing to take an interest in your latest obsessions, no matter what they were. That’s what you loved most about her. “Turn it over, it tells you more about what’s included on the back.”
You did as she suggested, turning the pass over to read more. “Half hour zoom call day before to privately discuss details, and needs/wants of scene; hair and make up; up to one hour of shooting time; and keepsake autographed DVD recording,” you listed off. “You know I’m gonna watch that everyday for the rest of my life, right?”
“I’m assuming you’re gonna make me watch it at least once too, knowing you,” Shawnie laughed.
“Yeah probably,” you laughed as well. “ I got no shame!”
*************
You’re stomach was in knots as you waited for the zoom call to begin; you’d never felt so excited and  nervous at the same time. Shawnie was there with you sitting just out of frame, when the ‘bloop’ of the call came through your computer's speakers.
“Hi, Y/N?” Colson questioned.
“Yeah, hi. That’s me!” You did a timid little wave.
“Ok good, just wanted to make sure I got the right person before we get started here. Imagine that … Awkward!,” he laughed, and you instantly began to relax; you could tell he was going to be easy to talk to. “Well, obviously you know what I do , but I’d love to hear a little about you. Says here on your forms you’re a college student?”
“Wait, what forms?” You asked.
“The ones you filled out online with your info and kinks and things you wanted to include in our video when you purchased the Pornstar for a day package,” he answers slightly confused.
“Ohhh, my friend bought me this for my birthday, she must have filled them out.” You responded. “She’s right here. Say hi Shawnie!”
“Hi!” She giggled leaning into frame.
“Hello. Wow this must be some “friendship” he joked making air quotes. “Because this is a very detailed list. You gotta hear this.” He smirks. “Written in the section about what you hope to include in our scene says— and  I quote: I want Huge Hands/ Colson to absolutely destroy me. I want him to fuck my throat, my pussy and my ass. I want him to slap me around, and spit and piss in my mouth, and anything else he wants to do to me, I’m all for it.”  He choked out a laugh pulling dramatically at the collar of his shirt “Whew, I’m the pornstar here and that’s even got me blushing!”
“Oh my God, Shawnie!” You covered your beet red face.
“What!?, did I lie?” She laughed.
“I mean no, but still. Damn, to hear it out loud like that.” Your eyes bulged.
“So it’s true then?” Colson asked slyly.
“Yeah, that pretty much sums it up,” you hid your smile behind your hand, shaking your head in embarrassed disbelief.
“Aye,  no need to be embarrassed, we’re gonna have fun tomorrow, I can tell,” he smiled. “I’m especially excited that your interested in Anal. It’s kinda my favorite. I’m assuming you’ve done it before?”
“Yeah,” you answered simply.
“Do you enjoy it?” He asked.
“Tell him what your ex said!”  Shawnie blurted out.
“Oh, boy. I gotta hear this,” he chuckled. “What’d the ex say?”
You inhaled deeply before speaking, “I do enjoy it, probably more than regular sex, if I’m being honest,” you admitted. There was no use trying to be coy now. “Uhhh he actually said I could be a pornstar since I can take a hard anal pounding so well.”
“Nice!” He exclaimed. “Girl, after my own heart.”
“Jesus Christ, this conversation has me sweating already,” you chuckled standing up to pull your cardigan off.
“Is that a little tattoo I saw there, peaking out of the top of your jeans?” He asked.
“Yeah, you wanna see?” You unzipped your jeans without waiting for a response and lowered the top of your underwear just enough to show him.
“ The Playboy bunny, huh? How fitting,” he teased.
“What can I say, it was my first tattoo,” you giggled “Seemed like that’s what everyone was getting at the time.”
“What else you got going on down there?” He lifted his head as if trying to see more. “Is that a landing strip?” He asked referring to the thin dark stripe of short curls just  barely visible above the band of your lowered underwear. “Can I see?”
“Yeah, sure,” you lowered them further exposing yourself, your inhibition long gone at that point. “This is just how I normally like to groom. I can shave it completely if you prefer?”
“Nah, it’s perfect,” he smiled. “Well, I think I have a pretty good idea now of what you like and what we’ll be getting ourselves into tomorrow. Do you have any questions or anything else you want me to know, before we end the call?”
“I don’t think so,” you said. “Shawnie pretty much laid it all out on those forms,” you laughed.
“That she did!” He produced a chuckle as well. “I meant to ask earlier, but, since she knows so much about your kinks and what not, have you two ever —“
“ No, just best friends, I tend to overshare, I guess.”
“Yeah it amazes me sometimes, the things women  share with their friends, but yet guys are always the ones who are known to kiss and tell and brag about their conquests. Females can be just as bad, y’all just keep it on the low a little better,” he stated. “Well, I look forward to working with you tomorrow. Take care, and I’ll see you soon.”
“Can’t wait!” You responded. “Bye.”
“Bye,”
You felt oddly comforted and at ease after the call, no longer a ball of nerves or embarrassment. He made you feel like there was no shame in enjoying the things you did. He was very professional despite the nature of the call; it didn’t feel sleezy or overly salacious; just two consenting adults having a mature conversation about their sexual desires.
*************************
When you walked out of hair and make-up and onto set, you saw Colson waiting for you on a red leather couch. He was clad in only black dress pants; shirtless — his tattoos on full display. He smiled seductively when he saw you, beckoning you over with a pat to his thighs. You undid your silk robe they had given you and let it slip from your shoulders to the floor, revealing the red lacy set Shawnie had bought you, as you made your way over to him. You suddenly became very aware of all the cameras and other people in the room, as you sat on his lap. Somehow it has slipped your mind that they were all a part of what went into this.
“You get used to it,” he said softly , remembering the way he felt his first time in front of the cameras. “Just pretend they’re not even there— only me and you, okay?” He said brushing a finger along your thigh. “Unless, Shawnie forgot to mention you’re an exhibitionist too, then by all means enjoy them watching us fuck,” he joked, making you laugh. “Don’t forget, if you need me to stop at anytime for any reason, just give me three quick taps,” he demonstrated, tapping your thigh. “Don’t worry about the filming, they can always edit and piece things back together if needed. This is all for you and I want you to enjoy yourself. Oh and happy birthday by the way! It’s today right?”
“Yeah,” you smiled. “Thank you.”
“Ok, so we’ll just start the scene with some kissing and light touches, and when I feel you’re ready I’ll signal the camera man, he’ll call action, and then we'll be recording.”
“Sounds good,” you nodded your head. He had made you feel so comfortable and relaxed the last bit of nervousness you chalked up to just being slightly star struck; You never thought in a million years you’d get this opportunity.
“Ready?,” he pressed his forehead to yours, staring directly into your eyes, the corners of his mouth turned up into the most alluring devilish grin.
“Ready,” you echoed back, biting your lip trying to suppress a needy whine. God you were always such a sucker for his killer eye contact in his films, and now you were the one his eyes were soul fucking. You’re heart pounded with excited anticipation as Colson’s face drew nearer to your own. He lightly held your chin as he pressed his lips to yours, parting them to introduce his tongue. It was a welcome greeting, cut short by the breathy “oh fuck ” that involuntarily slipped from your lips.
“”You good?” He laughed softly, a small puff of air the only thing separating your mouths; your foreheads still touching.
“More...than good,” you spoke in a short choppy sentence trying to compose yourself.
“That’s what I like to hear,” he smirked against your lips, continuing to kiss you.
You melted into his kisses— slow and gentle at first,  increasing in intensity as he carried on. When he nipped at your bottom lip with a low groan, you lost all innocence, shifting positions to straddle his lap. You gripped the back of his head, as he kissed you and rolled your hips against him, demanding more. And that’s when he knew … that you were ready.  He quickly signaled to the cameraman with a thumbs up, and “Action” was called.
His hand slipped down from your chin, settling on the highest part of your neck just under your jaw, his fingers squeezing at your pulse points on either side. Roughly he turned your head to the side with a push of his thumb and his mouth began mauling your neck with an appetite for lust, leaving blooming raspberry patches along the descending path of flesh that lead to your breasts. With one hand he expertly undid the front clasp of your red lace bra and took in the sight of you.
“Perfect,” he whispered into your flesh with a growl, taking one breast  in each hand as he licked between them, keeping his eyes locked on yours. You slid the silky straps of your lingerie over your shoulders, letting it fall, as he took turns going back and forth between each breast treating each of your nipples to light suction and a pleasurable nibble. You let out a moan at his actions and again rolled your hips in his lap, pressing yourself against the hardening bulge inside his dress pants. “Needy are we?” He teased swiftly  spinning you around so your back was to his chest. He dug his chin into your shoulder peering over it as he snatched up the crotch of your panties roughly, tugging the material up between your lips . You canted your hips up chasing after the friction of the coarse fabric against your clit. “You like that, huh?” He pulled them harsher.
“Mmmm, yes” you squeaked out, nodding your head.
“Yeah, I bet you do,” he growled nipping at your neck. “Look at this pretty pussy,” he shoved the material to the side exposing you, letting his fingers explore your folds as he pleased. “You want my cock right in here huh?” His voice was so gravelly and low as he slipped a finger inside you, only to quickly pull it back out, teasing you. “Taste yourself,” he brought the finger to your mouth. You wrapped your lips around it, as he slid it further into your mouth, his long fingers slipping down the back of your throat. “Oh, god, yes!” He exclaimed impressed by how you didn’t even gag. “Tell ya what—“ he paused to add a second finger to your mouth, continuing to talk as you sucked “If you can suck my dick as good as that—“   he then pulled them back out of your mouth. “I might just have to fuck you right in here too,” he shoved his spit slicked fingers into your ass.
“Yes, fuck, please!” You whined, wiggling your hips, wanting his fingers deeper.
“You like that? Huh. You dirty little anal whore!” He grabbed your neck with his free hand, keeping you pinned back against him, the fingers of his other hand still moving inside you.
“Yes, yes! I am,” you strained to speak. “Please, please fuck my ass!” You whined impatiently with pleasure. You never heard yourself sound so needy and desperate in your life.
“You sound you pretty when you beg, but you're gonna have to earn it first,” he demanded pulling out his fingers,  leaving you feeling empty. Quickly, you dropped to your knees in front of the couch as Colson got up standing before you. You waited impatiently while Colson unbuckled his belt above you. Once undone he yanked the belt free from the loops with a satisfying ‘whoosh’ that made you pulse between your thighs. You desperately clawed his pants and boxers  down his legs like a feral cat in heat as Colson brought the tip to your mouth, still holding onto his belt in the other. “Open!,” he demanded. “Goooood,” he growled in praise as you did what you were told. You reached up to grab it but ,“no hands!” he smacked them away, and then secured them behind your back with his belt. “Let’s try this again, open!” He spoke harshly. You obliged, opening wide. “Tongue” he barked.  You let it hang from your mouth with anticipation; eager breaths rolling down it like a panting dog eyeing a steak. He teased you, slapping his cock against your tongue before shoving it fully into your mouth. Your eyes prickled with tears as you fought your gag reflex, taking him down your throat. He held your head in place with one hand , the tip of your nose pressed flush against the coarse hair of his pelvis, as he hunched his body forward over yours untying the sides of your G-string. It slipped from your body leaving you completely nude. Colson smacked your ass, then gripped it harshly, making it jiggle for him before finally standing straight up and pulling his hips back to let you come up for air.
“Huuuuuuhhhh,” you inhaled sharply gasping for breath, letting oxygen penetrate deep into your lungs before Colson stuffed your mouth again. Mascara ran down your hollowed out cheeks as you sucked. You started pulling back out of instinct when you began to gag but Colson held you in place.
“No, keep it in your mouth,” he instructed condescendingly, looking down at you. “Just a little longer” he promised. You tried your best, Colson letting out a throaty moan every time your raw, used throat constricted around him as he fucked into it. “Mmmgghh,” he groaned, pulling out of your mouth “Goooood girl,” he praised with a smirk, before bending down to give you a sloppy kiss, swapping mouthfuls of saliva. Just as he pulled away he let a long string of collected spit slip from his pursed lips and into your open mouth, where you eagerly accepted it, moaning as you swallowed it down.
You let out a breathy “awhhh” as you opened your mouth again, wiggling your tongue enticingly.
“Such a dirty, fucking whore,” he bent down again and spat directly in your face. He smeared it all over your face with his hand before grabbing you by the neck, pulling you to your feet. “Turn around,” he ordered. You did as he said and Colson undid his belt from around your wrists. Before you even had a chance to soothe your sore wrists with a rub, Colson spun you around and pushed you down onto your back on the couch, your ass teetering on the edge of the red leather cushion. “Spread yourself for me,” he instructed, as he pumped himself. Again you did as you were told; you pulled your legs up, wrapping an arm around each thigh, holding them back as you parted your opening with your fingers.  “God, you’re so fucking wet.” He teased the head of his cock through the glistening mess on display for him.
“Fuck me,” you said in an inpatient huff, staring into his eyes.
“Awhhh, yessss,” he groaned out, slack jawed as he sank into you
“Ohhh, shit,” you screamed out , face twisted in pleasure, your eyes slipping shut, at the feeling of him burying himself deep in your cunt.
“Open your eyes. Look at me!” He spoke harshly, cupping your face in his hands as he thrust. You opened your eyes, trying to focus on his, but your vision was  spotted by the intensity of it all. “Feel good?” He pressed his forehead to yours just as he’d done earlier , starring directly into the windows to your soul as he fucked you. You nodded the best you could, but that wasn’t good enough for him. “Words, I want words. Say yes!”
“Yes.. yes,” you responded breathily, biting at your lip.
“Yeah, Mmmghhh, that’s it. Fuck, I like it when you use your words”  he moaned , shifting himself to be more upright. He then spit on the tips of his fingers and brought them to your clit and began rubbing it furiously, his cock still destroying you.
“OH Fuck!” You cried out, wiggling and bucking your hips.
“You gonna fucking stay still? He roughly grabbed your face, squeezing your cheeks. You nodded your head, trying your best to calm your body’s erratic, pleasure driven movements as he thrust. “Words!” He spat, his hand letting go of your face only to connect it to your cheek again with a quick, yet harsh slap.
“Shit! ...Yes!” You corrected yourself once again, Your body was  loving how aggressive he was getting the longer he fucked you and he could tell;  spitting at and striking your face again.
“Turn over!”  He ordered, abruptly pulling out. “Hands on the back of the couch.” He roughly assisted you in turning around , and you placed your hands where instructed. You arched your back and pushed your ass out waiting for him to re enter you from the new position. “This is where you really want it, huh?” He teased his cock over your asshole.
“Yes!,” you remembered to use your words this time.
“You’re a dirty little fucking anal whore, aren’t you? He asked, he question sounding a lot more like a statement. “Let me hear you said it.” He applied pressure to your hole with the tip, as he yanked back a fist full of your hair.
“I’m a dirty little fucking anal whore!,” you repeated desperately pushing back against him.
“Mmmghh!, That you are!” He confirmed with a groan, snapping hips hips forward, quickly entering you.
“Uhhhhh, Oh my God!” You exclaimed at the feeling. You never fully understood why you enjoyed anal as much as you did, perhaps it was the pleasurable fullness, the taboo aspect, the fact that you were one of the few woman who were into it, or the way so many men were obsessed with it , and the look on their face when they found out you were more than willing to take it up the ass, but you absolutely loved it, and this time was no different. Every jack hammered thrust brought you closer and closer to the edge, especially when Colson reached around to between your legs adding the friction of his fingers to your clit. The sensation of your ass being stuffed combined with his  touch was the perfect recipe for orgasm and you felt it building every time his cock slid in and out.
“Yeah, cum for me,” he could feel you tightening around him. His words perfectly in sync with the  jolt of pleasure boiling over in your abdomen and ripping through you with vast intensity. A series of explitives and sounds you’ve never heard yourself make, flew from you lips as your body went boneless under Colson. He quickly pulled out, turned you back over and came across your face with a few pumps of his hand. He collapsed to the side of you briefly, before tugging you off the couch and onto your knees. “I’m not done with you just yet,” he spoke out of breath taking his softening dick in his hand. Your eyes lit up, you knew what he was referring too— the only thing on your list of wants he hadn’t included yet. “Say ahhh!”
“Ahhh,” you echoed the request, letting his golden stream fill your mouth, splash off your tongue and dribble down your chin and body. You giggled, piss spilling from your smile as you looked up at him, all your fantasies now fulfilled.
“Annnd cut!” Called the director. A few stage hands scrambled to bring you both a towel and small refreshments. “Almost done, just gonna get you guys a little cleaned up, rehydrated, let you catch your breath a bit, and then film the little quick, post scene interview.
“Ok,” you both answered.
Colson tossed his towel over his shoulders and reached out his hand to you “You, good?” He asked with a faint laugh , watching your hand shake as you drank your water.
“Yeah,” you answered letting him pull you up onto the couch.
“You were amazing,” he said, rubbing your back. He knew the come down from the adrenal rush of scenes could be taxing, especially from rough ones . “You —“
“Ready,” the director interrupted, cutting him short, and immediately pressing record. “So how was it?” the director focused the camera on you first.
“Oh my god.. mind blowing,” you answered , still out of breath, adjusting your towel.
“And you?” The director turned the camera to Colson.
“ Absolutely amazing. She was a natural. I’d love to work with her again.”

Summer of Love
⭒☆━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━☆⭒
Tom peaked at the bed as he pulled his shirt over his head, a smile came over his face at the sight.
“Good morning angel,” he cooed, “Like what you see?”
“I liked it better when you had your shirt off,” she teased, her voice still raspy and tired, “Remind me why we agreed to work today?”
“It’s only till noon,” he reminded as he bent to kiss her. He laughed as she attempted to pull him into bed, “I’ve got to get going, swim class starts at 7.”
She rolled onto her back and groaned, “Who the fuck takes their kids to swim class at 7?”
“Their toddlers angel, most of them have been up since 5,” he pecked her lips one final time before standing up, “I’ll see you at 8?”
She hummed, nodding once before she closed her eyes again, “Love you.”
“Love you too,” he watched her settle back into bed before leaving, closing the bedroom door as quietly as he could behind him.
。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆ 。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆
“Bye bye,” Tom waved to the kids as they padded through the lobby.
“We’ll see you all Thursday,” Harrison added.
“Well I really appreciate it,” Tom smiled in response, falling into the spinning chair that she usually sat in, “Seriously, I owe you.”
The kids filed out, being ushered away by their parents while the boys hung around the front desk.
“I can’t believe I agreed to take you shift,” Harrison yawned, stretching his arms above his head, “You’re such a dick.”
“Yeah, yeah, I’m the best,” he glanced towards the door, just in time to spot (y/n), “Oh shit, fun’s over Tom, time to get back to work.”
“Ha ha,” she rolled her eyes, “What are you two doing at my desk huh?”
“You’re desk?” Tom smirked, “This is my desk today angel.”
“Oh and I suppose you want me to save the drowning children?”
“No,” he stood and grabbed her by the waist, “Haz is going to watch the pool today and I’m going to help you up front.”
She raised a brow and turned to Harrison, “Really?”
He nodded, “Course sweetheart, happy to give you a little extra time together.”
“Aw, thank you Haz,” she cooed, wrapping her arms around his neck.
“You’re welcome,” he gave her a squeeze before dropping her, “Alright, I’ve got to go clean up, you two just make sure everything is done. I don’t want to get in trouble because you two were making out instead of working.”
“We will, don’t worry,” she laughed, “Thank you guys, I couldn’t have dreamed up a better last day.”
“You’re welcome,” Tom hummed, pressing his lips to hers as she tried to reach for the computer behind him, “We could do this everyday if you stayed, I could switch to the front.”
“Tom you know I can’t,” she sighed, “I don’t think we should be having this discussion at work either, it’s just gonna make us both emotional.”
“You’re leaving tomorrow morning so I’m gonna be emotional no matter what,” he sighed, “You never want to talk about this.”
“Because I don’t like thinking about leaving. I don’t like the idea of being far away anymore than you do.”
“Then don’t leave,” he grabbed her hands, preventing her from getting to her job, “Just stay here. You can move in with us, Haz adores you, he won’t mind.”
“Tom I can’t. I have to go back to school, and right now I have to open, so can we please save this for later?”
He sighed and nodded, “Yeah, yeah, we can talk about it later.”
“Thank you,” she kissed his cheek before pushing across the floor.
He laughed as the chair spun away from her, “I don’t know how you expect me to help from all the way over here.”
“I expect you to go make sure the bathrooms are stocked,” she flashed him a cheeky smile while she popped open the register, “And I’m gonna count the cash.”
He sighed and dragged his feet towards the closet, “Fine, fine, I wouldn’t do it for anyone else though.”
The day continued as normal, despite Tom’s best attempts to distract (y/n) from work. Tom had surprised her by doing most of the work throughout the day, insisting she simply sit and handle the register. It was a nice change, normally when Tom hung out in the front it was just to steal drinks and tease. Tom busted through all of her tasks, seeming impossibly determined to get them home as soon as possible. He’d managed to do it too, Harry arrived at exactly noon and he’d rushed (y/n) right out the door.
“Hurry,” Tom shook her shoulders while she gathered her things.
“I am, I am, sheesh,” she shoved her phone into her purse and stood, “What’s the big rush?”
“I’ve just got a lot planned for today,” he beamed at her, wrapping his arm around her shoulders, “Now come on, our first stop is this way.”
“Our first stop?” she knit her brow as he led her towards the pool, “Wait why are we going to the pool?”
“Because it’s our first stop,” he repeated, stopping just outside the doors, “See that?” he pointed to one of the lifeguard’s chairs.
She nodded, trying to imagine where he might be taking the conversation, “I do see the chair Tom.”
“It’s the most important chair in the world,” he kissed the top of her head with a smile, “Because I was sitting in that chair the first time I saw you.”
She flushed, biting her cheek to try and fight off her smile, “Stop.”
“I remember it exactly. You walked out of there and I just couldn’t take my eyes off you, you wouldn’t believe how disappointed I was when they said you were gonna be up front.”
“I thought you were pretty cute too.”
He laughed, “Thank God you did.”
“Did you bring me out here just for that?” she raised a brow, “You’re not trying to throw me into the pool?”
He shook his head, “No, just wanted to be a little sappy. Now I’m gonna take you on that date and be even sappier.”
“Lucky me,” she chuckled, “So, where are you taking me now?”
“Minx,” he smirked, “Alright darling, just get ready for the best date of your life.”
“Back home, I can’t parade around the town dressed like this,” he motioned to his swim trunks with a smile, “As much as you might like that.”
“I’d rather save that for tonight,” she teased back, “When I’ve got you all to myself.”
Tom took her home, refusing to reveal even the tiniest detail about their date as they both got ready. He claimed it would be long, that’d they’d be out until that night, but refused to give her any more details. He even went as far as to try and blindfold her when they got in the car, but he quickly dropped it when she refused. She expected he’d be taking her somewhere new or out of town because of this, she was completely in shock when he just drove her to a sandwich shop just up the street from the pool.
“Seriously? We eat here like everyday,” she rolled her eyes, “This cannot be it Tom.”
“It’s not,” he laughed, “Obviously I’ve got something more than this planned. I just thought we could stop here.”
“Why?”
“Because, if you remember,” he began to explain, a smile overtaking his features, “You stayed late to help me clean the pool and I took you to lunch as thanks. It was like our first half date.”
“Half date?” she laughed, “That is not a thing Tom.”
“Yes it is, it was the first time we hung out outside of work together, and it’s when I asked you out, it’s a half date.”
“Those are very specific circumstances that define a half date,” she pursed her lips, fighting her urge to smile.
“Whatever, the point is, this place is special because it reminds me of you,” he leaned over the middle console to press a kiss to her cheek, “And I just wanted to tell you that before we got to the real date.”
“Aw,” she cooed at him, “Don’t tell me it’s going to get even sappier than this.”
“Oh angel, just you wait, it’s only getting worse and worse from here.”
She watched out the windows as Tom drove her across town to another restaurant, though this time she knew exactly why he’d brought her there.
“Tom,” she bit her lip as she spoke, “This is incredibly cute.”
“Ah not here angel,” he grabbed her hands as she tried to open the door, “Just being sappy again. Remember what happened here?”
“Our first date, how could I ever forget that?” she smiled as she reminisced on the happy memories, “We got all dressed up and you brought me flowers. Then we talked until they closed, and we still couldn’t get enough of each other so you drove me up to that cliff side and talked all night.”
“No, no, it was nothing like that,” he rolled his eyes, “I picked you up and you looked so fucking gouregous I could barely speak. Then I took you to this restaurant and I tried so desperately and to seem interesting enough to keep your attention. For some reason you put up with me, and we talked and talked and talked. I thought you’d want to go home at the end of the night but you still weren’t sick of me so we drove up to that little lookout point and I fell madly and deeply in love with you while we talked the night away.”
“You did not fall in love with you on our first date,” she rolled her eyes, “You’re just trying to make me emotional.”
“I fell in love with you the first time I laid my eyes on you, it just took me a little while to realize it.”
She sighed, letting her head fall onto his shoulder, “I fell in love with you the first time we kissed. I’ve never felt like that with anyone else.”
“Mine was cuter,” Tom hummed as he pulled out of the parking lot.
“Oh whatever,” she rolled her eyes, “Alright, are we going to the real date now?”
“You’ll see, you’ll see,” he shushed her, driving just a few parking lots over to the local bowling alley, “Remember here?”
“Another one?” she sighed, “Alright, you took me here to introduce me to your brothers. I found out that I majorly suck at bowling that night.”
“Yeah you do,” he laughed, “But my brothers adore you, they treat you like a sister and it totally melts my heart.”
“Yeah, I think they’re cool too,” she chuckled, “So, is there an actual date or are you just taking me on a victory lap of the city?”
“There is a date, at the end of the victory lap,” he admitted, “There’s just a couple more things I want you to see first.”
“You’ll see, just give it a second,” he hummed.
Tom drove her all over the city, stopping anywhere with even the tiniest amount of significance. He took her to the club where they’d spent Harrison’s birthday, the fairgrounds where they spent way too much money on rigged games, even the local park, where her and Harry had gotten way too competitive with a game of frisbee golf. He took her to more sentimental spots too, like where they’d had their first kiss, the hill where they’d fallen asleep watching a meteor shower, the place where they’d first said I love you, where they’d had their first time. It was like a montage of their greatest hits, that had her falling in love with Tom, and the city, all over again. She was almost in tears when Tom finally declared that the tour was over, and it was really time for their date.
“Okay, where are we really going then?” she pressed, her eyes glued to the window for any clues, “I mean we’ve pretty much been everywhere already…”
“Looks like we’re heading to your place, or work,” she knit her brow.
“Does it?”
“Does it?” she mocked, “We have to get out of this car soon or I’m gonna pee myself.”
“Well,” he flicked his blinker on and turned into the pool parking lot, “Good thing we’re here.”
“Tom I swear to god I-”
“I’m kidding, I’m kidding,” he laughed, “But you can run inside real quick and use the restroom before we go.”
“They’re closed.”
“I have my keys,” he flicked off the car, grinning as he waved for her to follow, “Hurry up angel.”
She followed him inside, suspicious that he had some kind of ulterior motive, “We are not fooling around in there Tom.”
“Get your mind out of the gutter,” he hummed as he opened the front door, “Go on, take care of your business.”
“Thanks,” she scampered off to the bathroom, only to find Tom was missing when she returned, “Tom?” she peaked around the lobby but found nothing. She got no response when she knocked on the men's locker room door, and the employee lobby was empty. “Tom?” she called again, peeking at her phone for any hints, “Come on,” she sighed and headed for the pool.
“Surprise!”
Out jumped everyone she’d spent the summer with, Tom, Harrison, his brothers, everyone they’d worked with at the pool, all the friends she’s made across town. The pool was all lit up, lined with tables full of food and drinks. (y/n) was in shock, her jaw hung open as she took it all in.
“So,” Tom’s arms wrapped around her waist and he pressed a kiss to her cheek, “What do you think?”
“This is amazing,” she squeezed his hands, “Thank you so much.”
“You’re welcome,” he kissed her cheek again before stepping away, “We all wanted to make your last night really special.”
“It’s perfect,” she confirmed, “Seriously, I couldn’t imagine anything better than this.”
“Glad to hear it love,” Harrison wrapped his arm around her shoulders for a quick hug, “Come on though, you’ve got lots of people to say goodbye too.”
She was led around to say hi to everyone, progressively becoming more and more emotional as the night went on. Tom stuck right to her side, doing his best to comfort her as the night went on. It was nice, she appreciated the gesture and everyone being there, but the realization that this was her goodbye just kept creeping back up. Tom could tell she was drained by the end of the night, obviously ready to just curl up in bed.
“Angel, are you ready to go home?” he hummed.
“No, no, I’m okay,” she insisted, “We should stay and help clean up.”
“You can’t clean up your own party,” Harry rolled his eyes, “We’ll stay back and clean it up. If you’re ready to go you and Tom can head out.”
“Are you guys sure?” she wrung her hands nervously, “We can stay and help.”
Sam nodded, “Yeah, it’s not very much anyway, we’ve got this.”
“Thanks guys,” Tom squeezed her side, “Let’s get you home then yeah?”
She nodded, “Thanks guys.”
She moved to give each of them a hug, mumbling a quick goodbye, hoping to escape to the car as quickly as possible. Harry seemed to have other ideas in mind though.
“I love you,” he squeezed her tight.
“Aw, I love you too,” she chuckled.
“I’m gonna miss you so much sis,” he patted her back as she pulled away.
She forced a smile as she stepped away, waving to them while her and Tom slipped away.
“Are you alright?” Tom squeezed her waist.
“Yeah, yeah, I’m fine,” she insisted as she climbed into the passenger seat, “I just wanna go home.”
“Alright, we’ll go.”
“He called me sis.”
“What?”
“Harry called me sis.”
Tom chuckled, “Well yeah, I told you earlier, they think of you like a sister.”
“But it’s different when he says it,” she sniffled, her facade finally crumbling, “I don’t wanna go Tom.”
He moved to her side as quick as he could and pulled her into him, “You don’t have to do anything you don’t want to angel. If you want to stay you can, Haz and I would be more than happy to have you.”
“But I can’t! I can’t just ditch everything for a summer fling! I have to go back to school and my family and I have to go home! But I don’t want to go back there! I want this to be home, I don’t want to leave!”
Tom took a deep breath and kissed the top of her head before scooting back to his seat, “I know we went a lot of places today angel, but I’ve got one more thing to show you alright?”
“No I don’t wanna go fucking see anything else Tom! I just want to go home…”
“We will, I just want to show you one thing angel, it’ll make you feel better,” he promised, slipping a hand over hers, “It’ll be quick.”
“Okay…”
She was quiet the rest of the short drive, he’d taken her to a small cafe, they’d only been there once before.
“Come on angel,” he waved for her to follow him.
“Why would you bring me here?” she scoffed.
“Just come on,” he insisted, smiling as she slammed the door behind her, “Come sit with me,” he patted his lap.
She rolled her eyes and crossed her arms before falling into his lap, “Why are we here?”
“Do you remember what happened here?” he hummed.
She nodded, “Yeah, we had our first fight here, and it seems like you’re trying to have our second too.”
“No, I’m making a point,” he corrected with a smile, “We had our first fight here, and then we never came back here again. But that is not why I brought you here, I brought you here because that fight made me think about us, and the fact that you had to leave at the end of summer. I kept trying to think of ways around it or ways for us to minimize our time apart, but you know what thought never crossed my mind?”
“What?” she sank into her chair.
“That when summer came to an end we would break up, because we aren’t a summer fling. We never were, not even for a second, and the sacrifices we make are not for a summer fling, they’re for a real relationship that both of us treasure. If you really, really don’t want to go then you can stay, and I mean we’ve got a Uni nearby and you’ve always got somewhere to stay here. But if I’m the only reason you don’t want to go then you need to go, and we’ll suffer through the long distance until my lease with Haz is up and then I’ll move to you.”
She shook her head, “It’s not just you, I love this town, and the friends I’ve made here, it’s everything about this place. I just feel like I belong here, and I’ve never felt like that back home.”
“Obviously I’m biased here,” he chuckled, “But you could always just give it a semester out here, transfer back if you hate it, or vice versa. Just remember this long distance thing is going to be temporary no matter what, and even then we’re only a couple hours apart.”
She was silent as she tried to sort out her thoughts, “Yeah, school’s a little cheaper out here too, that’d be nice. A-And I haven't paid for anything yet this year so I’m not really obligated to go…”
“You don’t have to justify anything to me angel, obviously I want you to stay” he kissed her shoulder with a frown, “If you wanna give it a shot then I think you should, but if you don’t, we’re still gonna make this work, because I love you.”
“I love you too,” she sniffled while he wiped her eyes, “Thanks Tommy.”

"Depth Over Distance" Hubby! Tommy Shelby x Reader
Warnings: Angst & Fluff.
Tumblr media
Summary: Tommy remembers the time he fell in love with you when he realizes that you are falling out of love with him.
A/N: It's Tommy's point of view all along. [it was supposed to be out yesterday but I fell asleep WAY TOO SOON and on my computer....]
PS: Inspired by "Keep your Head up" by Ben Howard.

*Arrow House*
The clock was ticking, it was the only sound that could be heard in the office, along with the smoke Tommy exhaled. His eyes were blankly staring at the void forward him, his vision blurred by his thoughts.
She was standing in the chair right in front of him but she wasn’t saying anything, she probably didn’t even notice he was standing near her.
She wouldn’t even look at him in the eyes anymore or even throw a single glance his way. He used to say he’ll not eat with Y/N when just coming home from the House Of Commons, but for several months she wasn’t even expecting him at all. When he would arrive late for dinner, he would rush to the dining room but found it empty.
No plates on the table, and no Y/N waiting for him. It was maids that would welcome him and tell him his wife took supper earlier before going to bed, using the excuse that “she had to wake up early”.
What was she doing early in the morning anyway?
Why was she out all day long? But most of all, why wasn't she looking at him anymore?
Y/N and Tom met during the war, she was a nurse in his department. Being a tunneler meant you weren’t going out often, but when you did, it was solely to put out the bodies of the dead or reach for help for those who were deeply wounded.
He remembers she used to always come to him to take care of his scars when he refused to let anyone touch him until all his soldiers would be taken care of.
She wasn’t saying anything when he would do so, but her eyes… Tommy remembers vividly the way she was looking at him, the aggressive burning fire that was animating her eyes and her stern look contrasting with the way her lids softly fluttered whenever he would catch her looking at him.
She used to panic a little before understanding it was his way to tell her she could take care of his wounds and scars.
Her touches were so soft and sweet, her skin was always smooth and cold. Not in a bad way, it was easing his own that was burning like hot coals.
Being under the ground in very tiny tunnels with all his soldiers, Tommy had to take on his shoulders an amount of pressure no one could ever even imagine, he had to give them orders and lead them to death from time to time. No errors would be acceptable, so he had to calculate everything for everyone.
The air down there was toxic, hot and tense. That’s why he loved Y/N’s skin being cold, it would remind him about the life above the ground, what fresh air felt like, and even if at the time he hadn’t had much space to think about that, she was bringing him hope.
A hope that would be killed as soon as he was back in the tunnels, but still. He could taste hope somehow, so it was better than nothing.
When returning home, he forgot about her for some time, but soon enough, the universe, destiny, or whatever, sent his angel back in the streets of small heath.
She was working in a bakery, and soon, Thomas was bringing bread everywhere he would go. Even in family meetings or the betting shop. Every occasion was an invitation to visit the woman that didn’t seem to recognize him… Or so he thought.
“Y/N! Give your Sergent Major what he needs and close the shop! We need you at the back!”
Her cheeks reddened.
“I’m coming!” Y/N responded by turning her head to the back door before slowly facing Tommy again. She was keeping her head down, but when she met the icy blue staring-eyes of the man she once knew in another time, she cleared her throat and gained composure again.
“So what do you want?”
“Huh?” He responded, aghast.
“What bread this time?” She answered back and he raised his brows.
“You remember me?” He will not order anything, but he wanted the truth.
“Who can forget what happened there.” It wasn’t a question, it was a statement and the bitter tone of her voice alarmed him. Did he do something to her personally or was that tone about the war itself? Tom was confused.
He frowned and was staring at the woman in front of him.
“You heard my boss, I gotta close.” She let out before she walked around the counter to join him. She seemed to be aware he was going there only to see her, that’s why she didn’t wait any longer to put him out of the bakery shop.
Tommy, that was now out, under the rain, turned back to look at her through the windows, confusion filling his eyes.
She was aware of his scheme and she indeed kicked him out the shop.
Her attitude made him forget he was a peaky blinder and that he should be served like a fucking Prince. With her, he only felt like a simple man. Not that it was a bad thing, but since he returned his business was the only thing he could think about until he saw her again.
Now she became the key to this other dimension where Tommy Shelby was just Tommy Shelby, not the leader of a backstreet gang, not the head of the Shelby family, no. None of those things mattered or even existed in that dimension. It was just him, her, and the way she was looking at him.
Tom maybe didn’t know what to say that day, but he eventually came back the next day with only one purpose: She will not kick him out this time. This wasn’t too ambitious, or was it?
Because last time she made no effort to kick him out. Her Y/C/E eyes were enough for Tommy to be unable to say anything back.
But he wanted to believe this time will be different.
He pushed the heavy glass door and entered, no clients. He quickly glanced behind the counter but he was surprised to see a blonde girl. It wasn’t Y/N.
“Mr Shelby!” The woman began, a huge smile on her face, she surely knew about his position in this town. “What brings you here? Can I help you?”
But he glimpsed a form, in the tiny room at the back of the shop, and here she was, lifting huge bags of flour from the ground.
He turned back to the girl that was speaking to him and cleared his throat, “Give me my everyday order.”
“I’m sorry, but I don’t understand… It’s my first time serving clients, I do not know what you usually take…” She seemed sorry and scared. So, she heard about what happened when the peaky blinders didn’t have what they wanted.
He got out a cig, lightening it up slowly before puffing on it and lifted his eyes back on the woman, “Well, bring someone who knows.” Was all he said.
“Y/N, please come!” The blondie girl ran to the back door.
“Is it something you do often, to frighten people?” Y/N asked, outright, when nearing the counter.
“Give me my everyday order.” He was looking deep into her eyes, and he could swear he saw her gritted her teeth as the muscle of her jaw tensed.
She grabbed a couple of pieces and wrapped them in fabric, shaking her head.
“Is it something you want to tell me?” He raised his brows, still smoking.
She handed him his order and exhaled, “I don’t understand why you chose that path. Haven’t you got enough with the killings?” She looked at him straight in the eyes, and he would swear she was looking into his soul.
Tommy didn’t say anything for a moment, his body stiffened. It was when his cigarettes burnt his knuckles that he blinked, grunting. He frowned and looked at the burning on his pale skin as the cigarette fell on the ground.
How did she do that? It was as if she understood him better than he did. And her words made him feel like he was cheating on himself.
She grabbed his hand in both of hers, which startled the man that looked up to her face.
It had been forever he hadn't seen her that close, her hair falling perfectly on each side of her face, framing her judging look. “Now you act like you don’t remember who you are, huh? Or maybe you truly forgot.”
Her words echoed in his mind but he was still desperately searching for their meaning. What was she saying?
“So, you hate me.” He concluded, not because that was what he thought but because it was his way of knowing what he truly wanted to know without directly asking her a question. He didn’t need her to think he cared what she thought, even if that was the case.
She put his knuckle in her mouth while frowning at him,” No, I don’t hate you, of course, no.” She was taken aback by his remark. As if it was the dumbest thing she'd ever heard.
“So, what is it? You always be looking at me with those eyes,” he pointed to her with his free hand. That’s when he realized his finger in her mouth, making him flutter his lids a couple times out of confusion, “like I did something wrong.” He concluded while staring at her mouth.
Y/N scoffed, “Stop speaking in the name of my eyes. It’s not my fault if you see your own conscience in them.” She said as letting go of his finger.
She pulled his arm, leading him in the tiny room at the back of the bakery shop. “Sit.” She motioned a dusty table and two chairs while she went away.
Tommy obeyed, patiently waiting for her.
He rewinds the time and hears her voice again, “It’s not my fault if you see your own conscience in them”, well. Maybe she was right. Maybe all of the things he thought he saw in her was in imagination, but here he was, about to have a full conversation with the woman that saw the real him.
“Give me your finger,” she let out while sitting right next to him. “I never hated you, Tommy. It’s who you become that I can’t stand. I thought you discovered your true self there, I guess I was wrong.”
“Don’t speak in my name. It’s not my fault if you see a version of me you want to see and not who I am.”
She lifted her gaze to his, “I saw you looking at your soldiers there. You felt powerless in front of their distress, and it seemed to burn you from the inside. I’m not lying.” She said, putting some kind of liquid on his burn.
“That’s why I become who I’m becoming.” He snapped back, staring at her movements, wincing of pain.
“To never be powerless…” She muttered utterly to herself, but he heard her, and noticed her nodding to herself, she was genuinely trying to understand him.
“And I saw you.” She tied a piece of tissue around his knuckle before exhaling deeply.
“Back then, yea” He completed before she could add anything as if to let her know he wasn’t the same anymore.
“It’s so depressing how you want everything out of life but not the life itself.” She smiled at him faintly, raising a hand to his cheek.
She fondled his skin and shamelessly brought her lips to his, kissing him softly.
Tommy was surprised but in a good way. Now he was sure about what he felt between them since the war.
He put a hand at the back of her head, pulling her closer as he deepened the kiss, his other hand she took care of cupped one of her cheeks, tenderly.
He couldn’t believe it was the same Y/N in his vivid memories that was ignoring him right now.
He wanted to say something, but the words refused to form in his mind, and his voice was tied in his throat.
He knew she never approved his business even if she never said anything, and he was pretty sure this was the reason he was forced to watch the spaces grow between them.
A heaviness settled on his chest, making him cough even harder than usual. He abruptly crushed his cigarette in the ashtray and clenched his jaw as he grabbed the paper Y/N was reading.
He wanted her attention, he wanted her to look at him the way she used to. He wanted to see his own conscience in her eyes, he needed his wife. And she wasn’t there anymore, or maybe it was him who wasn't there?
Maybe the fact he entered politics was the last straw that broke the camel’s back? It was love or business and he made a decision.
That last thought made sense and would explain why she didn’t even look at him after he grabbed the paper and just left the office without saying anything.
(...)
In the morning, as he just entered the Shelby Brother Company Limited’s office, he saw his wife, sitting in one of the two armchairs in front of his desk.
“Y/N.” His voice was full of expectations.
When he saw the suitcase near her legs, he realized what was bound to happen.
“Sit.” She spoke with a low voice. And that’s when he realized...
It was him who changed. She was still as calm as usual, her hair still perfectly framing her face by falling at each side of her head.
Her Y/C/E eyes that, for the first time in months, met his blue ones were still animated by the same burning fire that when he found her in the bakery shop.
She was the same.
He came and sat at his desk, taking advantage of the fact she didn’t refuse to look at him, to stare at her face, printing as many details as he could before she would vanish, because that’s what she’ll do. He knows it.
“You had been away.” He succeeded saying. He didn’t want her to go silent again or to ignore him, so he made a step towards her, hoping she would do the same.
Tommy didn’t speak the first words coming to his mind, he meant something while saying this.
He wasn’t talking about distance here, no. He was talking about depth, she had been far too in-depth for him to reach for her.
She seemed to understand the depth he meant because she quickly looked away, fleeing the judgment in his icy stern eyes.
“Keep your mind set in your ways. It’s who you are now.” She mutters, giving him a faint smile.
He knew a ‘but’ would be coming at some point, he was patiently waiting for the sentence to drop on his head, so she could finish him off as if her ignoring him didn’t already do enough damage.
“It’s the time we go separate ways, Tom. But it’s okay, cause I’ll always remember you the same….” She tilted her head to the side, closing her eyes abruptly. A couple of tears racing at the corners of her eyes, “Eyes like wildflowers… with your demons of change.”
So that was it, he was right, he was the one who let her down, the one who changed.
“May you find happiness there… May all our hopes all turn out right.” She concluded, finally opening back her eyes.
He closed his eyes at each of her sentences, they were like bullets to him. One hitting him deeper than the previous.
No tears were to be found in her eyes anymore, it was his Y/N right here, right there. The one that once saw him, but couldn’t see him now.

Y/N - Reindeer Hybrid
Yoongi - Amur Leopard Hybrid.
A/N: I got super carried away with this and it was supposed to be up for Christmas but my brain shut down for a bit and it missed my own deadline. I haven’t proofread this but I wanted to get it out there. Again it’s a bulletfic as I’m terrified to write proper full fanfictions for KPop but I hope that you all enjoy it anyways. Please like or comment if you would...be...so kind to...
Tumblr media
Y/N always had a small aversion to Christmas.
This wasn’t because she despised the day or anything, it was how she was teased relentlessly because she was a Reindeer Hybrid.
She thankfully didn’t have giant antlers like the actual Reindeer; she could hide them with a hat whenever the season arrived.
She could handle herself with the comments but it was always appreciated when her best friend Hoseok stood up for her; his strong Stallion aura greatly intimidating when he needed it to be.
She often stayed at home during winter and worked on her computer, trying to look as if she was at all interested in what her colleagues were saying to her via their small little video chat.
Staying at home wasn’t exactly the most exciting thing in the world but she did enjoy a couple of things.
She could go do things in her home like taking a break often and having a small nap whenever she started to get a headache from working too hard.
Also, she got to listen to her neighbour.
Her neighbour was an amazing rapper and even though a lot of people would assume she liked musicals, she actually enjoyed rap and heavy metal the most; dabbling in a love for all Japanese music.
He had the deepest voice she’d ever heard when it came to rap and sometimes he spoke so fast that it took her a moment to comprehend just what the hell had happened.
Y/N always wanted to sound an applause afterward but knew it would most likely be a little weird for him to suddenly hear the squeals of a mostly shut in Reindeer Hybrid.
He always practiced right as the afternoon started for a couple of hours and then she would hear nothing from him again until the next day at the same time.
Unknowingly, he became apart of her routine.
It was like having small daily concerts just for her and as each day passed she found herself gaining a little crush despite most of her knowledge of him came from listening to him through her bedroom wall and one small shared glance they had had with one another when she had just come back from gathering supplies for her Instax Camera.
He was about the same height as her with gorgeous fluffy black hair; bucket hat covering any indication on whether or not he was a Hybrid.
Dressed in all black with only one red tie to add colour, he looked like an absoloute dream to Y/N and she nearly walked right into her front door when she finally got a look at his eyes.
Wonderful dark eyes that held such sleepiness in them; something she found rather endearing.
The moment quickly ended though when she felt her face completely burn up and she hurried into the apartment, leaning against her closed door with a loud gasp of air as she tried to calm down her small panic.
He was there again.
Right by her wall, where she worked, rapping like he was born to do it and her hands immediately stopped typing.
She clambered over her bed and pressed her ear to the wall, smiling and her small tail tingled with excitement.
He added music?!
She clenched her fists tightly with such utter happiness; her mouth opening and before she knew it, she let out a great big “You’re so cool!”.
Y/N froze with wide eyes as the music stopped suddenly and the silence began to pound in her ears; fingers twitching and she curled up away from the wall.
“Hello?”
Oh no, he’s talking to her.
His voice is so close to the wall that she couldn’t even pretend he wasn’t talking to her.
Y/N couldn’t bring herself to speak and she began to nervously pull at her right antler.
Then a knock at her front door just about made her heart drop to her feet.
“Fuck,”
Why did this situation have to arise? She’s so bloody awkward with social interactions!
“I know you’re in there Reindeer,”
Oh that made her shiver for some reason and her tail twitched as she managed to get herself to move off her butt and open the door; eyes glued to the floor with red decorating her skin and if he could see that, he never mentioned it.
“Have you been listening to me?”
She just nodded like one of those stupid bird desk toys.
“Sorry,”
Brilliant response.
Stunningly eloquent
“What did you think?”
That one question allowed for a friendship to blossom between the two of you.
His name was Min Yoongi and he was a very lazy Amur Leopard Hybrid.
But a very handsome one.
One that made Y/N want to throw up in nervousness whenever they hung out, which was practically everyday despite her having to work whilst he lazed on her sofa and played on her Playstation.
It was one of those blinding crushes where if Y/N were in a cartoon a pink mist would be surrounding her and hearts and butterflies would dance around her face.
It really didn’t help that winter was also when her Reindeer side would go a bit loopy with hormones and would make her act like, just such a moron around Yoongi.
He had no idea.
He was very clueless when it came to women’s inner turmoil let alone a female hyrbid’s inner turmoil.
Y/N was a woman that he was interested in knowing the inner turmoil of though; she was just...special to him for some reason.
He could blame it on the fact that she was a Doe and very skittish and it brought out his protective side.
Something that made Y/N feel fuzzy.
It was also a bit of a problem when both Yoongi and Hoseok were standing up for you at the same time because they were both very Alpha but Hoseok would always calm down quickly and just nudged Yoongi playfully on the shoulder.
Hoseok loved Yoongi too, it was nice to have a brother to help him out with guy things; something that always made Y/N laugh.
Anyways.
Yoongi had discovered a lot about Y/N when it came to himself.
She liked his ears.
Like a lot.
It was annoying at the beginning because he wasn’t used to it and they kept flicking around as it tickled to no end.
Now he just sat there most days as she ran her forefinger and thumb around on his soft fur.
It made him feel slightly warm under the collar now.
It wasn’t his fault.
You’re just so fucking cute with everything you do.
Even your grumpiness towards Christmas was adorable to him.
The pride he feels when you give him an applause after he practices was the best feeling in the world...only second to the ears.
Your eyes get so big as you stare at him and he almost always falters in his rapping whenever he catches your gaze, red flashing against his pale skin.
“When you get famous you have to invite me on tour!”
Oh his heart aches.
Oh look at your little hands grasping his arm in graceful giddiness.
Oh your antlers are so fucking cute and oh god look at your little tail.
He wants to tug on your tail.
Not entirely sure why.
But he does know that the thought sends him to the shower every night.
Uh-oh you’re talking to him and he hasn’t been listening.
Totally not imagining things a friend should never imagine.
“Yoo?”
OH SHE CALLED HIM YOO.
He was pretty sure he was malfunctioning because there was a very concerned expression on your lovely face.
“W-what?” his canines bit harshly down on his bottom lip as he stuttered.
“You alright?”
Y/N’s hands were tugging on the fabric of his shirt as she tried to look at his face more.
“You’re so red,” she giggled quietly feeling quite drunk on nothing but her own Hybrid side.
Yoongi’s breath got stuck in his throat when the wave of your hormones suddenly slapped him across the face.
He really wished you were sitting directly next to him in your comfy clothes.
You looked so soft in them that he just wanted to gather you up in his arms and rub all over your scent gland.
“I’m good, Reindeer,” he practically purred out getting a scent of mints and chestnuts, setting his skin on fire.
Neither of you have any clue as to who actually made the first move but Y/N found herself laying on top of Yoongi on the sofa, kissing him with the most amount of passion she’d ever felt.
Soon finding her hands gripping the back of the sofa as Yoongi helped her ride him, his face first pressed against her collarbone; hot breath panting against her causing goosebumps before he buried his face in her neck as he continued to scent her heavily.
Your little cries of “oh Yoo,” made his brain feel as if it were melting into a puddle of heaven.
His large hands shyly cupping your backside before finally, finally getting the pleasure of tugging your tail causing a delightful and horrifically erotic squeal to leave your swollen lips.
Both of them consenting before they took the plunge and bit into each other gland as their release rushed over them; fingers causing cuts into each other’s skin as they shook.
After you two had become a mated couple (with the approval of one Hoseok of course), Yoongi had made it his mission to get you at least a little interested in the Christmas Spirit of things.
And boy did he.
His plan would only come into effect on the actual day.
And with his arms wrapped tightly around you on Christmas morning (both of you walking around practically glued to each other after heavy love making the night before) he led you towards the bathroom where he’d hidden his present.
“Merry Christmas, Reindeer,” he bit flirtatiously on your earlobe before opening the door.
A sharp bark sounded around before it was followed by loud squeals from you, hands picking up the small brown dog and snuggling into it’s warm, warm body.
“Oh he’s lovely, oh Yoongi,” cuddling into the Leopards side, he purred in content.
“Holly,”
He looked down at you, eyebrow raised.
“It’s Christmas,” you stated with a determined expression
“His name is Holly,”

Into The Night
Tumblr media
Pairing: Kai x Reader
Warning: Smut
Word Count: 5k
Summary: You never expected to fall for the escort your friend ordered for you.
"It's a very reputable place." Jisoo smiles at you. "Very discreet. I think it would be a good place for you to go." She finishes.
You stare at her with your mouth wide open as you try to comprehend what she had just said to you.
"Bitch." You scoff. "Are you trying to tell me to go to a whore house to get laid?" You ask.
"I mean, you're not the first person to do it. It's not a big deal." She says, shrugging her shoulders. "The guys are hot." She smirks, wiggling her eyebrows.
You can't help but think about it for a minute. You really did need a good fuck, your vibrator can only do so much. "Fine." You say, crossing your arms. "But your ass is coming with me." You smirk, watching her face drop at what you had just said.
"But.. I.. " she stutters.
"No excuses, I fuck a sex worker, you fuck a sex worker. That's the deal." You laugh. You knew she would never do something like that, meaning you'd be off the hook.
"Fine." She says. "Lets go. Now." She says, ushering you towards the door. "Now or never."
"How about never?" You nervously giggle.
"Or now works too. Let's go bitch." She finishes, dragging you out the front door of your apartment to a cafe down the street, to get the process started.
Little did you know this was going to be the best, but also worst experience of your life.
**
Kai smiles as he says goodbye to his latest client, leaving her to relish in the orgasms he had given her, making her scream out his name. He knew he was good at what he did, that's all he was ever told he was good at, so why not make a career out of it.
Women had always told him he was a great fuck, he had a handsome face but that would only take him so far. The words they told him always stuck with him, replaying over and over in his head.
"You're a great fuck but thats it."
"I could never date you. You're not good enough for me."
It was always the same, with every woman that he met. They were always only interested in him because of his face, or his body. They never cared to get to know him or his likes and dislikes, only how many times could they cum because of him.
Eventually he said fuck it and gave up on trying to pursue a relationship with women. He began working for an escort company, where he quickly climbed the ladder, becoming the most popular male escort. He made great money, but lived a lonely life despite being with different women. It wasn't the sex that was important to him, it was the connection, the love two people shared. That's what he craved, but he knew he wasn't enough.
Kai's mind wanders back to just after he graduated from high-school. He had a date with a girl he had loved for the last four years and had tried time and time again to muster up the courage to ask her on a date.
"J-jennie, would you like to have dinner with me?" He asks, his fingers twiddling between each other.
She smiled at him, but it wasn't genuine, more pitty.
"Um sure." She half smiles. "I'll meet you at the restaurant." She says, walking away to her friends. Kai thought his heart was going to explode out from his chest.
He was so happy.
He wasn't your typical guy, he was shy. He was very quiet and often gave off the vibe of being an asshole, but in all honesty, you just needed to get to know him first but no one ever gave him that chance.
His date with Jennie went well, the conversation lagged a few times but it had ended with him railing her in the back of his car.
His muscles flex, the sweat glistening as he props himself up while he thrusts in and out of her, making her scream.
It was the best night of his life and he thought about her everyday, until he saw her making out with some guy at a party a few days later. All eyes had been on him when he walked into the party, his arrival commencing the whispering between people and the staring.
"W-what? I thought.. we.." he stutters, lost for words.
She laughed. And laughed. "Look." She giggles. "You give top notch dick, but you're an asshole. You're not boyfriend material." She spits.
Kai hangs his head low as he walks out of the party, heartbroken for the first time but not the last.
He didn't let that one instance ruin his views on relationships and women, no, that came after the same thing happened in college. He had met Mina and she was so beautiful, smart and interesting. He was smitten with her, and when she agreed to go on a date with him, he was over the moon excited.
"Would you like to get a coffee with me?" He whispers to her, only looking her in the eye once.
"Sure. Sounds great." She smiles.
He told himself he wouldn't sleep with her on the first date. Coffee seems innocent enough, but alas, it ended with him ramming into her from behind in an alleyway behind the coffee shop.
"I had a great time." She smiles, as she adjusts her skirt. "See ya." She finishes, walking away, leaving him standing there slightly confused.
Kai saw her often, mostly in the middle of the night when she called him and asked him to come fuck her. Whenever he asked to walk her to class or meet up for dinner, she was always busy or unavailable. And if they ever did meet up at her apartment during the day, she always had an excuse as to why he couldn't stay.
"That was great." She sighs, rolling over onto her back. Kai rolls over, wrapping his arm around her waist, only laying there for a second before she wiggles out-of his embrace and stands at the edge of the bed.
"What?" He asks, raising an eyebrow.
"I've got a lot to do. You gotta go." She says, getting dressed and rushing him out of her apartment.
He wanders around downtown for a bit, trying to think of why she kicked him out so quickly, why she never wants to spend time with him. He's lost in his thoughts until he sees Mina, just down the street walking with her friend.
With a smile on his face he walks up to her to greet her.
"Hey you." He smiles.
She doesn't smile back. Instead, she scoffs, her friend giving him a weird, uncomfortable look.
"Um." Mina starts, but Kai gets the point.
"Gotcha." He mumbles, turning around to walk away and that's when he hears her.
"Who is that?" Her friend asks, laughing.
"The most amazing dick I've ever had." Mina raves. "But like that's all he's good for." She laughs. "He's so awkward. Could you imagine keeping that as your boyfriend? Talk about being embarrassed all the time." Mina laughs. "And he's studying accounting. How lame. He'd make better money fucking women for a living." She finishes.
A tear rolls down Kai's cheek as he now vows to himself to never try for a relationship again. Women wanted some good, dominating cock? Then that's what he would give them, that's all that he would give them.
**
"Make sure he has brown hair." Jisoo laughs. The two of you sit in a cafe, on your phones choosing an escort for each other. You picked one for her, someone who seemed to fit her type just right, a man named Baekhyun.
You were nervous about who she chose for you, but you trusted her, mostly. You knew she wouldn't screw you over.
"Okay done. Meet him in an hour at the Into The Night hotel." She laughs.
"Seriously? Fuck." You laugh nervously.
Forty five minutes later you're standing outside the hotel, taking a deep breath. You're the one who needs to get the hotel room and he will knock on the door. You know, this is fine, its simple, its just a fuck. With a stranger. It's fine.
"A room with a king size bed." You whisper to the front desk clerk who looks at you weirdly as you sweat slightly.
"Room 5372. Here's your key. Enjoy your stay.. with no bags." He says.
"Someone will be coming to ask for my room number. Make sure you tell him." You say, clearing your throat.
"Of course." He says, looking back to his computer.
**
You sit on the edge of the bed, your fingers twiddling as you wait for the much anticipated knock on the door. And when it came, your heart jumped from your chest.
Your palms were sweaty as you gripped the door knob, taking a few very deep breaths before you pulled the door open revealing an extremely handsome man. His hair was messy and dark, his shirt unbuttoned just enough for you to see his chest, the muscles in his arms protruding from his long sleeve shirt.
You go back and sit on the bed, watching him walk in, the bulge in his pants very noticeable. Your breath hitches as your eyes stare at it, unable to look away from it.
"Hi." He says, his voice deep and rugged. "I'm Kai." He smiles.
"Um hi, I'm.. um.. Ayn." You stutter.
"Ayn." He says, a smirk on his face. "How would you like me, Ayn?" He asks.
"What's your last name?" You ask, your nerves have now fully taken over. "Mines YLN."
"Kim." He says, cocking his head to the side.
"Nice, nice. Are you hungry? I'm starving. I'm going to order room service." You say, jolting yourself up and heading to the phone.
"Wait you're serious?" He asks.
"Very. I never joke about food." You say.
"Uh. A burger?" He says, slightly confused about what was currently happening. But he hadn't had dinner and was kind of hungry, so why not?
"Hi, i'd like two cheeseburgers with fries and two cokes." You accidently yell into the phone. "Sorry." You whisper, hanging up. "Like twenty minutes you tell him, slowly walking back towards the bed.
He nods his head.
"So.. good times?" You ask, referring to the name of the hotel, a small smile on your face.
"Yeah, I mean, it's meant for good times, so why not. I thought it was clever when I named it." He smiles.
"You named it? Do you own the company?" You ask, genuinely shocked.
"I do." Kai laughs. "I founded Knight Industries a few years ago and built it up." He says, beginning to unbutton his shirt.
"Umm." You say nervously, thinking of how else you could stall. Honestly, you wanted to see what was under his shirt but you knew where it was going to lead you weren't sure about the stranger thing.
Knock
Knock
"Room service." A voice chimes from outside your door.
"I better.. get that." You half smile, quickly walking to the door. You open it and a cart is pushed into your room. The man looks confused when he sees Kai standing there, both of you fully clothed.
"Uh, enjoy." He says, walking out but not before giving Kai a questioning look.
**
Over the next hour you and Kai talk about one thing, well you talk about one thing and that thing is food. You went on and on while Kai actually sat there and smiled at you as you described to him your favorite dish to make at home.
"It's so easy to make but tastes amazing. You have to taste it to believe it." You laugh.
You also talked about what your dream vacation would be.
"And that's why my absolute dream vacation would be a good tour of Europe. You would get everything." You groan, just thinking about the food made you want to drool everywhere."
"You can't forget the wine though." Kai laughs.
"No never, can never forget that." You smile.
Beep
Beep.
Your phone alarm beeps, telling you your two hours is up. You give Kai a smile before gathering your belongings.
"Thanks for this. I had a great time." You smile before leaving the room, leaving him there to respond to no one.
"Thank you." He whispers.
Kai tries to make sense of what just happened over the last two hours he had spent with you. When he talked you actually listened, you genuinely seemed interested in what he was saying and enjoyed talking to him. Something he had never had, no one ever wanted him, just his cock.
**
"Wow." Jisoo says, a tired smile plastered on her face, her hair a mess as she limps towards you outside the hotel. "You don't look like you just got fucked." She pouts.
"But you do." You respond. "I didn't. We talked. And it was really nice." You say, shyly.
"It wasn't a date Ayn. You were supposed to get laid!" She yells, a little too loudly.
"Next time. I will. Promise." You say.
"You're going to have a next time?" She asks, surprised.
"Would that be weird to request him again?" You ask.
Before she could answer a very handsome man ran out of the hotel, yelling her name.
"Jisoo! You forgot this." He smiles at her, his hair disheveled. He slyly hands her a pair of panties, giving her a wink before running back into the hotel.
"That's Baekhyun." She breathes. "I think I love him." She finishes. The two of you laugh before linking arms and walking back to your apartment, completely missing the man you'd spent time with watching you walk away from him.
That night you laid in your bed, staring at the request on your phone to meet up with him again. You wanted to see him again, whether you did anything or just talked but did he want to see you was the question.
You left it alone for the next week, thinking and debating about it everyday. You had the request filled out, but for whatever reason you couldn't bring yourself to press send.
You felt stupid. You probably weren't even his type, this is what he did for a living, of course he was nice to you, you paid for it. However, he was supposed to fuck you, not spend two hours eating and talking with you.
After a week you finally pressed that send button, and you confirmed your meeting for tomorrow, making sure to add to meet at a park at sunset. You wondered if he would actually show up.
**
The next night you sat on the park bench, your bag with a surprise beside you, as you waited for him to show up. The littlest part of you felt like he wasn't going to show up. So when I looked over and saw him walking towards you, your heart skipped a beat.
He sat down next to you, a smile on his face as he looked at you. "Hi." He says.
"Hi." You reply, your nerves coming back.
"We never got around to your favorite food last time." You say, waiting for him to begin talking.
"Fried chicken." He laughs. "My mom used to make it when I was little, and it's just kind of stuck now." He says, his hands placed on his lap. "She got the recipe when she was in America for a bit."
"Have you traveled much?" You ask.
He looked at you like you were crazy when you asked him that, but you really and truly wanted to know more about him.
"Japan a few times, China and America once, but that was years ago. I've always wanted to go back." He tells you. "Have you been anywhere?" He asks.
"No I've never traveled anywhere. I've always wanted to though." You smile.
"I think you'd like Japan. Amazing food." He laughs.
"Anywhere that has good food has my vote." You smile. "Speaking of food, I brought this for you." You say, pulling out the container of food you made for him. "I really wanted you to try it." You laugh.
"I-.. wow." He says, looking shocked. Your eyes meet as he remains speechless at your kind gesture.
Before you knew what was happening, Kai had leaned over and pressed his plump lips to yours, wrapping his hand around the back of your head to deepen the kiss.
When he pulls away you smile, standing up, your face covered in blush. "We'll have to meet up again so I can refill the container." You smile, walking away, hoping he uses the number you left on the top of the lid.
**
3 days. It took him 3 days to text you. After the second day you had completely given up hope on him messaging you, but that was typical of your fashion, never giving enough time to anyone.
You had woken up early in the morning for work and saw a text from a number you didn't recognize, thanking you for the food and how delicious it was.
You texted all day after that, about everything. He asked you on a date for that weekend, 8pm on Saturday. You told him you'd love too, and when Saturday rolled around you were terrified.
Your doorbell rang right at 8pm, and your heart fluttered as you walked towards the door, your heel clicking on the floor. You glanced at yourself in the mirror one more time, satisfied enough with how your makeup and hair turned out, you smoothed down your tight dress before answering the door.
"Hi." Kai smiles, looking you up and down. "You look amazing."
"Thank you." You whisper, looking at him in his suit, his hair slicked back. He looked so good. You almost said fuck it and dragged him into your apartment, but you have a little self control, for now.
On the drive to the restaurant you couldn't keep your eyes off him. The way he slouched in his seat, his legs spread with one hand on the steering wheel, the other one placed on your thigh. You could feel your pussy throbbing as you pressed your legs together, trying to keep yourself together.
"Are you okay?" He asks, his eyebrow raised, glancing over to you.
"Yep, all good." You say.
You knew he didn't buy it. His cologne, how his skin glowed under the moonlight, his plump lips, it was all getting to you and fast.
**
At the restaurant you sat across from him, throwing back your third glass of wine as Kai watched you in  amusement. "Are you sure you're okay?" He asks, his chin resting on his hands.
"Mhmm." You say, gaining a little bit of confidence. You raise your leg under the table, gently caressing his leg with your foot, up and down a few times before you slide off your shoe and work your way up to his thigh.
Your eyes locked as you moved your foot, you could see his face change, his eyes become darker.
Every Time you rubbed his leg, you could feel your lips sliding together, reminding you of just how wet you truly were.
"I'm so wet." You whisper, sticking your hand under the table, sliding it over your pussy before popping it in your mouth to suck off your juice.
Kai's eyes went black. Right before he could say anything, the waiter came, placing your food in front of the both of you.
"Anything else I can get for you?" He asks, Kai looks at you, you bite your lip, looking slightly needy.
"Yeah, can we get this to go please." Kai says, his eyes never leaving yours. A smile spreads across your face as the waiter looks confused but takes your plates away anyways.
A few minutes later he returns with your food and your bill. Kai pays quickly before placing his hand on the small of your back to guide you out.
"Are you sure?" He asks, sliding into the driver's seat, starting the car.
"I want you to fuck me." You moan. Kai groans as he races down the street. "Now." You whisper.
He turns down an alley, parking in the dark between two buildings, making sure you were out of camera view.
"Out." He growls.
You open the door, step outside and walk to the front of the car. You watch as Kai walks around to the front of the car, unbuckling his belt and pulling it through the loops. His hand rests on your cheek as he leans in, pressing his lips to yours. He backs you up, leaning you against the car and laying you down on the hood of the car.
He breaks the kiss and stands up. "Hands." He demands.
You give him your hands, he puts them together and wraps his belt around them tightly. "Put them above your head."  He demands. You do as you're told, your pussy dripping as you wait for what he plans to do next.
He brings his hand up to your neck, dragging his finger down your collarbone, past your breasts, down your stomach, stopping halfway down your thighs at the hem of your dress.
"Spread your legs." He says, his voice deep and demanding. You do your best to spread your legs, causing your dress to ride up, exposing your red lace panties.
Kai lifts your dress more, looking at your panties and smirking. He grabs onto them, moving them to the side, giving him a great view of your lips.
"Oh my god." You cry, your pussy needing to be touched.
"Quiet baby girl." He moans as he leans his body on yours. His one hand reaches in-between your thighs, moving between your lips before his thumb grazes over your throbbing clit while he inserts two fingers inside you, slowly. His body rests on yours as he pumps his fingers in and out of you, his other hand covering your mouth to muffle the sound of your moans.
Kai whispers in your ear as you mumble your muffled cries. "That's a good girl."
As he continues to pump his fingers into you, he moves his thumb in a circle on your clit, making your arch your back. You try to cry out, but his hand catches most of the whimpers as he removes his fingers from inside you, and focuses just on rubbing your clit.
Your eyes roll to the back of your head as you try to squeeze your legs together, your orgasm threatening to burst.
"Cum." He growls, sending you right over the edge, your body shaking as you ride through your high.
Kai removes his hand from your mouth while staring at you before licking his fingers with a smirk on his face. You slide down the car onto your knees, lifting up your hands so he can untie you.
You're a bit shaky as you pull down his pants and boxers, letting his cock spring free.
Your mouth waters as you stare at the thick, juicy, veiny cock standing straight in front of you. You wrap your hand around the shaft, pumping it a few times before Kai grabs the back of your head, forcing his cock into your mouth, making you choke.
"Mhmm." He moans. "Choke on that cock."
He lets you come up for air, just for a second before he shoves his cock back in your mouth and down your throat. Your eyes water as he thrusts in and out a few times before fully pulling out and standing you up. He pushes you down on your stomach against the hood of the car, making you spread your legs with his foot.
"Ready?" He asks, but doesn't wait for an answer. Instead he grips onto your hips and slams his cock inside of you, stretching you out and giving you no time to adjust to his size. "Such a tight pussy." He groans, his hands holding onto you tighter as your hands are laid out above your head, red marks from the belt very visible but you didn't care.
Kai never slowed his pace, he fucked you hard and he fucked you good.
"Shit shit." You cry out as he hits your g spot with every thrust. "P..please don't stop." You cry. You can hear him grunting behind you, making you clench yourself around his cock.
"Don't stop that." He groans, his fingertip digging into your hips. "Shit." He moans. "I'm gonna..cum." he finishes, pulling out to cum on your ass. "Fuck." He sighs, as he pumps himself a few more times, making sure he rides his high for as long as he can.
"That was.." he begins.
"Great." You finish, pulling down your dress. You smile at him as he zips up his pants. "Will you come home with me?" You ask, a little nervous he might say no.
"I'd love too." He smiles, opening the car door for you. You slide in, and he closes it before running to the drivers side and backing out of the alley way. His arm rests on your thigh for the entire drive back to your apartment, making the butterflies in your stomach flutter.
**
The next morning you wake up to feel a hand wrapped around your stomach with a face buried into your neck. You smile as you remember he came home with you last night, and you smile even harder as you feel his large friend poking you in the ass.
With a smirk on your face you wiggle your ass against his boner, making his groan. "Tease." He mumbles as he nuzzles his face further to your neck.
"You can always just slip it in. Cum in my pussy." You whisper, making him raise his head. He reaches down, lifting your leg to go over his, opening you up slightly before he pulls down his boxers, letting his friend free. You arch your back as he guides himself inside of you, slowly thrusting in and out. He hand reaches up and under your shirt, cupping your breast before twiddling your nipples as he pumps his hips.
"Fuck." You moan as his hand leaves your breasts and moves up to wrap around your throat. His large hands squeeze your neck as he thrusts into you harshly.
"Rub your clit." He says, demanding you to do so. You reach between your legs and begin playing with the throbbing bud, rubbing it in circles, your pussy tightening around his cock.
"Good girl." He breathes into your ear, his head tightening again around your neck.
"I'm.. gonna.." you cry.
"Cum." He demands, breathing the word heavily into your ear. Shivers send down your spine as you orgasm takes over, making you cry out, loudly.
Kai grunts a few times before spilling his juices inside of you. "Fuck." He sighs, milking himself for everything.
He pulls himself out of you and rolls out of bed, pulling his pants on.
"What are you doing?" You ask, confused.
"I thought you were going to ask me to leave." He says, shrugging his shoulders.
"Actually." You pause. "I was going to see if you wanted to come to the store with me. I was going to make you some food." You say, sitting up in your bed. "But if you want to go.." you pause.
"I don't want to go..it's just i'm always asked to leave after." He says. "No one asks me to stay."
"I'm asking you to stay. Spend the day with me?" You ask.
The smile on his face could light up an entire city, the two of you so happy in that moment, but little did you know, things wouldn't be so happy in the future.
**
Things with you and Kai were great for the first couple of months until the two of you had gotten more serious than either of you had expected in such a short amount of time.
It had only been nine months but you knew with everything you had in your soul that you loved this man more than anything. And you knew he loved you back, but you just couldn't get past his work.
You knew he didn't love the women he was with, you knew it was only a job but you hated it. You hated that while you thought about him, his dick was inside someone else, making someone else cum, making another woman feel good. And that was the cause of your fights, 99% of the time.
"Here we go again." Kai sighs, as he grabs a drink from the kitchen. "It's always the same thing." He yells.
"Yes it is! Why can't you just stop. Stop fucking other women." You yell.
"It's my job! I founded the company. I built it up from nothing. I can't just walk away from that Ayn. You're asking me to give up alot." He says.
You take a deep breath. "You know you are so much more than your dick right? You're so special, the way you make people feel is indescribable. But if you only listen to the voices in your head from your past, they will always win. And if you keep doing that, then I won't ever be enough for you. So, when you decide that you’re more than just a sex object, you call me, because you are more than that business. And your business may be booming but baby, you’re dying, I can see that and I hate that you can't. I am trying to fight for more than just us. I'm trying to fight for our future. Either you want or you don't. So let me know."
With slow steps you walk away, hoping he stops you.
You close the door hoping he stops you.
You walk all the way to your car.
You waited for him to stop you.
But he never came.

The Assistant - Part One
Tumblr media
My Masterlist ✨
Series: Personal Assistant - Part One
Summary: Y/N is Ransom Dysdale’s assistant. She’s the closest person to him and spends everyday with him at his house. Usually she gets in at nine o’clock and makes sure everything is perfect. One day he doesn’t want to get up and Y/N goes in his room. She finds a surprise.
Type (in this part): smut, soft anger
Words count: 2,5k
Warning(s): male masturbation, fingering, denied orgasm
“Ransom…fuck” and then a long scream.
A fake scream lead only to faking an orgasm.
Ransom’s house was an open-space and, even though his bedroom’s door was closed, everyone in there could hear -and imagine- what was going on in that room.
Another normal morning in Hugh Ransom Drysdale’s mansion. You drove there from your little apartment in the city center at nine o’clock, once there, you opened the door with the key he gave you and waited for him, and his company, comfortably sat on the couch in the living room.
You openly laughed, careful enough not to let them hear you. When the door opened, you took the papers from the coffee table in front of you and handed then to the girl, without even looking at her.
“What’s this?”
You rolled your eyes, even though she couldn’t see you doing it, and stand up turning around the counter. Once in front of her you took a moment to look at her: blondish, blue eyes, perfect white-teeth smile and perfectly tall.
Yet she faked an orgasm.
“A non-disclosure contract”, you motioned her to sit down at the table and gave her a pen, then you pointed at her where she had to sign, “Thank you”.
“I’ll have bacon and scrambled eggs.”
You had to let a couple seconds pass before answering to her: “I’m not the maid”, then you had to recollect all your killing instincts and put on a fake smile, “Mr. Drysdale won’t be happy to find you here”.
“Why on Earth?” she rested her chin on her fist, “Tonight I rode his cock three time. I made he cum three times. I think I earned the right to have breakfast”.
Once again you had to breathe in and out, “Don’t do that”.
“What?”
“Don’t think you’re the best. ‘Cause you clearly aren’t”, every girl would have left, without even saying goodbye, yet she was there and she clearly didn’t want to leave. “Stay here if you want. Anyway, I’m not the maid, you gotta ask her for your breakfast”, you left the room and entered Ransom’s office. You sat down to your desk and switched on the computer, starting working.
Two hours later you still hadn’t seen Ransom, so you decided to head upstairs and check on your boss.
You hated him since the first moment; his being bossy and sloppy bothered you in every possible way. The way he treated his employees, as well as his family and his friends, and you, it was unbearable. Yet you needed that job, otherwise you didn’t know how to pay your studies. Every morning, in front of the mirror you repeated to yourself: another couple of months. By the end of April, you would have finished your studies at University and, after paying all the tuition fees, you would have been free from the Thrombeys, and Ransom Drysdale. You kept telling yourself that working for them was temporary and sooner or later -preferably soon- you would have dropped the job and not seen them for a long time -hopefully forever.
While making your way to Ransom’s bedroom, you kept texting to your best friend -the only one who knew where you were working- and she had been asking you to join her, and your other friends, to that night’s bonfire.
Y/N 11:26 – I’ll do my best. No promises.
You smiled at the possibility of hanging out with your friends after a long time; with that thought in your head you locked your phone and shoved it in the back pocket of your jeans once you had reached the door of Ransom’s bedroom. Your hand already felt the cold of the grip, when you heard a groan coming from inside.
Was there another woman with him?
You waited before announcing yourself, not understanding what was going on in-there. You knew you could just bend down and peek from the keyhole -being his bed clearly visible from the door.
And you did it.
Yet you weren’t ready for what expected you.
Ransom was laying on his bed -his back against the mattress- and he was naked. Completely naked. You let your eyes wander on his toned chest. As much as you could hate him, there was a little part of you that was inevitably attracted by Ransom Drysdale. Maybe it was his being always self-sure and self-centered that charmed you. As much as you kept saying he was an horrible human being, you just couldn’t ignore the fact that every time he lowered his voice, every time he looked at you, anger on his face, every single part of your body trembled, your heart increased its pace and your brain pulsated in your skull.
You couldn’t.
And it all became bigger when, that morning, you saw him holding his cock in one of his hands, and his phone in the other hand. His fingers were softly, yet firmly, wrapped up all over his long and thick member and they moved slowly, gradually increasing their speed, until his cum spurt out. It was everywhere; on his fingers, on his wrist, on his abdomen and a few drops fell on his toned legs too.
You were frozen in your place. You didn’t know what to do. Should you have entered the room and scold him? For what then? For sexually please himself in his own bedroom? In his house?
You shouldn’t have been there. You should have been in the office, replying to the working e-mails he got and the thousands of texts the many girls he had slept with were sending him -some of those were very inappropriate.
You felt hot and sweaty, your heart-pace had increased, and your hands were slightly shaking. Your legs were about to give up and you could have collapsed from one moment to another, yet you made it downstairs -after having taken off your heels. Once in the office you put them one again. For the rest of the day you tried not to think about what you had seen, but you failed miserably. Every time you closed your eyes, you saw him. Every time you breathe in and out, pretending it never happened. Indeed, it did, and you knew that image would persecute you forever.
“Where’s my sandwich?” Ransom shouted from the couch in the living room. The Patriots’ game was almost done, and he still hadn’t eaten. He snapped his fingers insistently and his personal chef entered the room with a dish and a beer in his hands.
“Here it is, Sir”, he placed the Monte Cristo sandwich on the coffee table in front of the huge plasma-screen TV and handed the beer to him.
Ransom didn’t bother to thank him as he made his way back into the kitchen. He neither took his eyes off of the screen. He was so focused on the game that he didn’t heard your footsteps coming closer.
After a whole day in the office, you finally managed to get all the work done and, pleased with yourself and the job you did, you approached Ransom in the living room. You glanced at the score on the bottom of the screen and saw that the Patriots were losing the game. It certainly had an implication on your boss’s mood, yet you hoped he wasn’t on a bad mood.
“Where are you going?”
You were so deep in your thoughts that you didn’t realized the second quarter had ended and Ransom’s attention was now all on you. You didn’t know when he got up and approached you; he was now a few inches from you -closer than usual.
“Ehm…I wanted to ask if I can go home before, today. I’ll hang out wi-“
“I don’t care what you do”, he said taking one last drink from his beer, “The work is done?” he watched you as you silently nodded in his direction and he caught you lowering your eyes, as if you didn’t want to meet his gaze, “Then, you can go”.
You mumbled a “thank you” very quickly and tied your fingers over the shoulder strap of your white leather bag. You hurried your way to the front door and, as you put your hand on its grip, you heard Ransom’s voice again.
“You liked it?”
You looked around you, confused by his words and asked: “What?”
The smirk you hated showed up on his face and he folded his arms over his chest, coming closer to you, “I asked if you liked what you saw before”.
“And my question is: what have I seen?” you tried to avoid his gaze, yet it was impossible. Ransom cupped your chin and forced your eyes into his. Your mouth dried out seeing his blue eyes becoming darker as they laid on your body. His hand reached your hips and laid there longer than you’d expected.
“Come with me”, he suddenly took a step back and motioned you to follow him upstairs. Then, you realized what was he talking about.
Did he see you that morning? You had been careful enough not to let him see you. Again, you didn’t understand why he wanted you upstairs.
“I-I should go-“
“Last time I checked you get off at nine”, he paused and gave a quick glance at the clock on the wall. Then he put his eyes on you again, “And it is a quarter to nine now”.
You knew he wouldn’t let you go before thirty minutes; so, you placed your bag and took off your coat, before following with him.
Your loud snort made Ransom turn his head towards you and send you one if his angry looks. You apologized and kept yourself a few inches behind from him. You eventually stopped when he stopped, in front of the door of his room, -avoiding banging onto his built body.
He turned to you again and you swallowed hard at the glimmer in his eyes. The situation, the silence and the glance Ransom’s was throwing at you were stressing you out.
“Get in”, he gestured you to enter the room.
You didn’t know if you should it or not? What he even wanted from you?
“I really shouldn’t be her-“ you tried to say, but Ransoms, being a complete dick, pushed you inside and tells you to lay down on his bed, “Hugh, I’m not your personal whore”.
“Can you shut up and do as I say?” he saw you close your mouth and slowly walk up to the bed; you took off your shoes and climbed on, resting your head on the pillows.
As you moved, you smelt his strong scent -a mix of whiskey and musk. You breathed in as much as you can, it swarmed you nose and your head, too.
“Y/N, are you still with me?” As he heard you groaning on his bed, he half-closed the door, “Look at me. What do you see?”
You turned your head towards him and answered: “You?” It came out as a question, though you weren’t asking. You were stating the obvious: you could clearly see him, even if the door was almost closed. You could see his hateful smirk on his pink lips, his eyes fixed on you and his arms crossed over his chest. He was oddly silent, as if he was waiting for you to tell smoothing else.
The you realized.
You could see him.
Perfectly.
“Oh”, you sat up and kept your eyes on him, as he kicked the door open and he was now walking to you.
“Yes, oh”, he stayed there, at the edge of the bed, looking at you -motionless in front of him, “I didn’t know you were a voyeur?”
“What- I’m not a voyeur!” you tried to slip away, but you couldn’t.
Ransom was shamelessly staring at you, wanting to make you uncomfortable with his smirk -which had never left his face since he had brought you in his room- and his inquiring eyes, his hands at his hips and his gold family ring around his little finger.
“Indeed”, Ransom came closer to you, his knee sinking into the soft mattress, “You were so watching me. Your eyes were glued at me. At my cock. You liked it. You liked watching me jerking off”, he touched slightly your cheek as you tried not to let him understand how you were feeling. His touch was so gentle and soft against your skin and his hot breath crushed against your neck, “I gues- no, I know you were hot. You could have gone away, but you didn’t want to. I know what your thought are. I know your pussy was soaked”, without you realizing it, his index and middle finger had undone the buttons of your jeans, unzipped the zip and they were making their way to your panties.
“Wha-“ a moan escaped your lips as his hand cupped your clothed sex. You couldn’t talk anymore; the only thing you could do was moaning as he skillfully touched you through your panties.
“You’re already so wet”, Ransom whispered really close to your ear. He slipped two fingers under the thin piece of cloth and didn’t stop there, “Do you come to work wearing lace?” he let go of the elastic band of your underwear and it hit your skin, “How many times do you dream of riding me? Riding my cock?” Ransom started leaving a trail of wet kisses at the base of your neck, slowly going up, “Did you like what you’d seen?”
You weren’t able to answer his question, guilty the pleasure he was giving to you. His fingers were caressing your folds -more than wet at that point- and his main purposed seemed to be making you admit you’d liked it.
He quickly moved all his weight to his knees and grabbed you by your throat; he chocked you pleasantly, “I want an answer, baby girl”, and he pushed two fingers into your pussy.
Feeling his long and thick fingers inside you, you couldn’t help but shut your eyes and let your mouth fall open. You felt them against your walls, moving around and finding your g-spot -then, you wide-opened your eyes and let out one long moan, “Y-yes”.
“’Yes’ who?”
“Yes, d-daddy.”
Hearing you calling him in that way did nothing by made his cock twitching in his pants, “Good girl”, he didn’t stop. His fingers still in the most intimate parts of your body, now his thumb was rubbing your clit.
You felt the knot in your stomach grow more and more as his fingers worked faster on you. In a matter of seconds, you were about to explode, you would have reached your climax and you would have come all over his fingers. As you were about to cum, Ransom pulled out his fingers from your jeans and sat down at the edge of the bed. He twisted his hand, the two fingers, which had been inside you, were wet. Your juices drizzling from them.
You froze in your place when he brought them to his mouth and licked them -cleaning them up. “It’s nine o’clock. You should go.”

soob become human ; c.sb
Tumblr media
pairing: android!soobin x police detective!y/n
plot: your job is fairly simple, find out the cause of the recent surges of deviancy in androids. the only problem is that you hate androids, but it’s ok because you have a newly appointed partner and- oh wait he’s an android.
w/c: 6.3K (this took me longer than it should have)
warnings & other:  enemies(?) to lovers(?), enemies (?) to less hated enemies, based off detroit become human, lots of swearing, android!soobin, human!y/n, blood, dead people, a crime scene is described but not in too much detail, soobin is definetly not a deviant, y/n hates soobin and pretty much all androids, y/n is kinda an ass to soobin, semi slow burn, open ended
Tumblr media
you were seething with rage though you somehow managed to contain it. you wanted to hold it in long enough to really explode when you walked into your boss's office. you tramp past the receptionist in the lobby and don't even smile at her. you never do since she's not even a human. you hate how she's programmed to sit idly with an eerie smile on her face and welcome guests.
"hey y/n!" you hear your friend, hueningkai, shout at you. you wonder how he can be so loud and full of energy after 5 hours of working at his desk but you keep marching on, not acknowledging his greeting.
you have your eyes set out on your boss's office and the fire in your eyes is set alight when you notice him sitting at his desk peacefully. thank god, for the see-through box offices cyberlife installed last year.
he notices your figure striding up angrily towards his office and you see him sigh. good, at least he knows what's he's in for! you march up the stairs with your head held high because you were really about to give him a piece of your mind right now.
you stop just at the edge of his desk and rummage through your crossbody bag for something. it takes you a while which is embarrassing since he just sits there looking at you expectantly. "ah," you pull out a crumpled up piece of paper, which you yourself crumbled up out of anger, and slam it harshly on his desk.
"excuse me but what the fuck is this?"
he glances down at the paper and back up at you with a bored expression. "that's a piece of paper y/n." you chuckle bitterly and place your hands on your hips. "i'm talking about the contents of the paper sir."
you watch him open up the paper gingerly and skim over the words printed. "oh yeah," he crumbles the paper again tossing it into the bin. he sighs heavily getting in his serious work position with his hands crossed in front of him. he's a big burly kind of guy so it always somewhat intimidates you when he does this.
"we're getting weekly reports of androids going haywire. everyday i've gotta deal with a new report. i'm not talking the usual malfunction and spilling coffee. this is homicides and assaults. just last night a woman was murdered in cold blood by her android. this isn't cyberlife's problem anymore, these are criminals now."
you stay quiet, taking in what he's saying. "regarding the contents of the paper, i want you to investigate them." you clench your fists and narrow your eyes at him. "why me?" you burst after a moment of letting your anger rise again. you realize you sound like a child whose just gotten told they have to dishes while their sibling goofs off but you don't care.
"i'm the least qualified person to handle these cases plus i've got other shit to worry about! i don't want to deal with those pieces of junk!"
the chief office stands up, eyeing you sternly. now you've done it. "y/n don't piss me off. you know you're the most qualified so don't start with that bullshit. i don't wanna hear any complaints out of you." he doesn't raise his voice and that kind of alarms you but you press on.
"no! you know that no one else in this goddamn precinct wants to deal with these androids so of course, you left me to pick up the dog shit!"
"watch your tone detective," he seethes. he sighs heavily trying to regain himself before he really bursts a vessel. he cozies back into his desk chair and rubs his temples. you, on the other hand, are breathing heavily and pacing back and forth. you can't believe he would put you on an android case of all things.
you were seriously being relieved of all other duties to investigate a bunch of ones and zeros. but that wasn't even the best part.
"i'm assigning you a partner to assist you in the investigation."
you stop in your tracks, eyes widening. "hell fucking no!" you rage. you march back up to his desk and lean over the edge. "chief i always ride solo. ever since i joined i've always been alone and have been doing just fine! i don't need help!"
"y/n i think i've had enough of your bitching and whining. i don't care that you're the best worker in this fucking precinct. if you don't like the circumstances you can hand in your badge right this instant. otherwise, shut your fucking mouth and get back to work," he says through gritted teeth.
you scoff in his face and as you walk out of his office you flip him off. "that's going on your track record detective!" he says matter of factly.
"shove it up yo-"
you sigh as you enter your office. "fuuuuuuuck," you groan. you look around and notice that there's a tiny replica of your desk on the other side of your office. you can only assume it's meant for your partner. the sudden urge to destroy it and throw everything across the room crosses your mind but you decide against it.
having a partner assigned to you was a jab at your pride. everyone knew you as the detective who never needed one, the lone wolf if you will. if anyone saw you being assisted they would immediately think that the position of "best officer" was up for grabs, when it wasn't.
you didn't wanna be that person but of course, you held that title over everyone's head.
you huff, throwing yourself onto your chair which causes it to spin around. you don't even know this supposed partner of yours. most likely for a good reason too. you can only imagine your reaction if the chief had presented your new partner right then and there. a firm knock on your door startles you, "come in," you mumble. you're really not in the mood to entertain any of your work friends so you hope this is quick.
you look at the figure standing idly by the frame of the door. he's tall with a three-piece suit on. he's oddly handsome with little to no flaws which is suspicious to you. his hair is dark with hints of blue peeking out and it's pushed back to show his forehead. the stark contrast of his dark hair and fair skin makes him look very pale and almost sick. he has some files in his hands and his face is stoic, almost emotionless but not stern. he looks boyish.
what you don't notice is the ring of light located on his temple since it blends in so well with his skin. "how many times do i have to tell people that complaints are sent next door to hueningkai, god i really need to get a sign or some shit," you groan rubbing your face in frustration. you lower your hands and the person is still there.
"hello, my name is choi soobin. i'm the android sent by cyberlife to assist you with your detective duties," he states monotonously as if he's reading from a script.
the gears in your head churn for a while but once the words process you groan once again and roll your eyes to the back of your head, "why am i not surprised that chief would fuck me over even more like this. of course my partner is a fucking andriod." soobin steps completely into your office shutting the door behind him. "are you y/n?" he asks politely.
"un-fucking-fortunately."
"nice to meet you!" he seemingly ignores your sarcastic comment and your wonder if he even knows what sarcasm is. "i hope we can be good partners. i have already received the files on our first case together, here they are," he places the files on your desk and you can only look up at him in disgust.
"well you're a well-trained dog arent you?" you mumble. "y/n with all due respect i am not a dog. im an android designed by cyberlife to merely assist with certain tasks and finish my mission. i'm one of the most advanced of my kind." you look at the tag on his suit: KR900. you sigh, nodding, "got it got it, now if you'll excuse me, it's time for my daily nap so scram."
you lean back in your chair and close your eyes. man, if soobin was gonna be your partner you'd have to extend nap time by at least 30 minutes. you wonder if you can get away with adding another hour to your naptime.
you hear someone clearing their throat beside you. you hope that if you keep your eyes closed they'll get the hint to leave you alone. after about a minute the person speaks up, "y/n we should probably start with the case as soon as possible." great, soobin.
you open your eyes to glare at him. "listen, soobin? was it? go fuck yourself ok?" you close your eyes again and fold your arms over your chest. god, soobin's already being a nuisance. you're not sure if whatever this is is going to work out.
he stays silent for a moment and you wonder if he can feel the feeling of frustration. you hope he can because he might be able to get a sense of how you felt towards this whole situation. you start to drift when you feel an odd warmth radiating on the side of your face.
"with all due respect detective. i've been assigned to this mission and i intend to carry it out and complete it to the very end. i'm not going to sit around and wait for you to simply 'feel like it'."
your eyes fly open and you stare at him bewilderedly. he's very close to your face and his expression is stony but of course, he still has that boyish look.
you stand up, frowning at him. "let's get one thing very straight, tin can." you shove your finger into his chest which strangely doesn't feel too much like hard metal. "i call the shots around here so i won't be taking orders from a walking computer. i don't give a damn if you're leagues smarter than me, piss me off one more time and i won't hesitate to deactivate you myself."
you step away from him and he doesn't seem affected. he simply brushes his suit off. you scoff, grabbing your keys from your desk. "by the way i already know where the crime scene is so try to catch up next time, puppy."
Tumblr media
when you both arrive at the crime scene there's already a plethora of police with their hound dogs and the yellow barricade tape is being set up. this must've been a pretty brutal scene for there to be this many people dispatched to this location. you're not surprised that there's people here and there trying to get a sneak peek at what might've happened.
"y/n! y/n!" you hear someone frantically yelling out your name.
you look around and see yeonjun, another police detective who's not from your unit, running up to you. he engulfs you into a bear hug, letting his trenchcoat pick up from the wind. you smile for what feels like the first time today, "hey yeonjun." once upon a time you liked choi yeonjun, you still do in a way. he was always on top of his game which you admired and you two would always compete when it came to cases. he was unbelievably smart so he probably knew about your little crush on him. if he did, he never addressed it and still treated you like a close friend.
"it's weird seeing you at the scene so early, we're just finishing setting up the yellow tape," he smiles at you but you can see his confusion. you were known to be late to these scenes but somehow still did well and always cracked the case. you didn't like to be around all the other police and detectives when you were in the zone.
"chief assigned me a new partner who insisted i arrive accordingly," you roll your eyes playfully to mask the annoyance. you don't bother to introduce soobin, who had been standing behind you silently this whole time, because he introduces himself. "hello, my name is choi soobin. i'm the android sent by cyberlife to assist y/n with their detective duties," he says monotonously.
yeonjun stares at soobin with an impressed look, "woah, chief got you a robot? he must love you" he jokes. "love me? this is a shit way of showing it," you mumble.
"y/n ever the comedian," yeonjun laughs deeply. you smile shyly at him. "i guess..anyways what's the scene looking like?" yeonjun leans back on the barricade looking back at the house you have yet to enter.
"looks like another case of deviancy to me," he sucks his teeth in thought. "man these androids are really going haywire these days, killing their owners, assaulting them, or just simply running off. seems like some kind of uprising? the machines seem to be rebelling," he glances at soobin who is already looking at him.
yeonjun chuckles lowly and leans down towards your ear subtly. "be careful ok?" he leans back up and stretches his arms. "trust me i know," you mutter. you both smile at each other and he winks at you. "well i'm off to do my own sleuthing! let me know if you find anything, you always do after all."
you watch him jog off and sigh to yourself. you turn to soobin, "right, let's get on with it." before he can take another step forward you stop him in his tracks. "and don't get in my way." soobin nods but stays silent. "i'm gonna need a verbal answer," you really don't care if he answers you or not you just want to annoy him. "i will do what i need to, to complete my mission," he looks at you with a weird glint in his eye and you kinda hate him even more now.
you roll your eyes and walk through the door of the house you're meant to be investigating. the smell of booze and musk smacks you in the face and you have to physically hold back the bile rising up your throat. "
"man whoever lived here was a pig!" you gag. you look back at soobin who has a neutral but curious face. "right you can't actually smell things," you mumble. you grab the collar of your jacket and cover the bottom half of your face with it.
as you walk deeper into the house you start to really see what went down. glass covers pretty much the entirety of the floor from a window near the tv. the tv is busted and there's writings on the wall. you look around the living room and that's actually when you discover the body.
it seems to have been there for a couple of days now since there's maggots hovering over it. the man's face is beaten badly and blood runs down it onto his tattered shirt. he's slumped over and there's blood on the wall that states 'we are alive'.
"jesus christ," you mumble to no one in particular. you watch soobin hunch over the body and dip his finger into the blood on the wall near it. he's about to bring it near his mouth but you stop him. "god what the fuck are you doing!" you think the bile you were holding back is really about to come out and you're scared you'll ruin the crime scene.
he looks back at you with an unreadable expression. "im analyzing the blood." he turns his back to you again takes a lap of the blood. "you're fucking gross," you chastise.
"the blood is from the victim," he finalizes. "damn his android must've really wanted to make a statement here. 'we are alive'? what do you think that means?" you ask him.
soobin stands up straight again, looking around the flat, "deviancy of course. judging by the looks of it, this wasn't a very habitable place. the android must've gotten fed up and rebelled against its owner." he thinks to himself. "this shouldn't be happening, it must be some kind of virus because androids were only meant to serve, they shouldn't have to capability to harm much less kill."
you sigh, already hating where this case and the mission overall is going. "let's just look around for clues. i doubt the android could've gotten far, it must feel guilty or something."
soobin shakes his head, "androids don't feel y/n." you raise your brow at his statement, "one does not simply kill another being without feeling. an emotion or feeling of some sort is triggered which causes someone to act out in this way."
you walk away to the kitchen to look for clues there but soobin just stands there watching you. he frowns but joins you minutes later.
after about a half hour of looking for any clues, you've managed to gain a lot of evidence with soobin's help. there had been a struggle in the kitchen which led to the living room where the place of death was determined. soobin described the altercation as very brutal for both parties.
"so where's the android?" you ask after his explanation. "it's near," he mumbles. he surveys the room once again and spots something. you watch him do the same procedure he had done with the victim's blood. "there's nothing there," you say skeptically.
"it's android blood, or blue blood as you humans call it. not visible to the human eye but any android can spot it from a mile away."
when he's done he looks around once again and follows a sort of trail. he stops near the attic door and sighs. he pulls it open with caution and you can only wonder what he's up to.
he peeks in then hoists himself up into it. "wha-" "stay here," he demands. "hey what did i sa-"
before you can scold him he's already in the attic and slammed the door in your face. "didn't know androids had a prick feature," you mutter.
after 5 minutes you start to hear noises of struggling and things falling over. "soobin?" you shout. "what's going on up there?" you don't actually care if he's ok or not but one scratch on him and you'll be paying the damages.
he doesn't answer, instead, the struggling comes to a halt. you jump as he slams open the attic door. you give him a once over and it doesn't look like he has any scratches on him so you sigh to yourself gratefully. looking down you see an android wriggling in handcuffs, you assume it's the murderer. "i got him," soobin huffs.
"y/n? you in h- woah," yeonjun breathes out. he looks over the both of you then at the android on the ground near soobin. "damn." you nod, agreeing with his one-word statement. soobin folds his arms looking down at the android. the android is rightfully glaring back up at him. "he was hiding up there, probably thought no one would find him. well, no human would've at least."
"we should take it back to the station for questioning. the more info we get out of it, the closer we are to figuring out the cause of this 'deviancy'," yeonjun concludes. you nod, turning to soobin, "good job puppy." he makes a face but accepts your praise either way.
Tumblr media
after finalizing your first deviant case, you decided to ask yeonjun out for burgers two days later as a celebratory measure. he had told you he was going to be busy filing some other cases so you opted for going alone. alone is not entirely true since soobin was required to be around you at pretty much all times.
"stay in the car," you ordered. "not happening. im required to assist you at all times," he states matter of factly. you lean your head on the steering wheel. "god you are so up my ass it's annoying."
"listen if i say do something you do it. you're an android so you follow my orders got that?" you narrow your eyes at him as if to challenge him. he simply looks back at you with that boyish curious look and says nothing.
you hate how he looks like a puppy who knows you're hiding a treat behind your back.
you sigh, getting out of the already parked car. you slam the door roughly in what you hope to be soobin's face to make a point but you hear a door close right after yours. you turn around to see soobin standing outside of the passenger's side where he was seated.
"oh fuck off!" you shout exasperatedly.
you stomp over to the burger cart and shove past someone who's already there. "hey watch it!" they shout. "shut up im a cop," you bite back. you don't even bother turning around to the person because you could care less but their voice comes back. "y/n?"
you perk up at your name and turn around, "oh shit frankie!" your smile grows and you hold your hand out for a handshake but frankie goes in for an uncomfortable hug that you weren't expecting. you laugh nervously as he hugs you for longer than intended. he reeks of red dust, a newly manufactured drug in town. the only recognize it is because, well, you've tried it.
"hahah ooook franks," you try to wriggle from his tight hold on you but he doesn't budge. "i slipped a little something for you sweet cheeks," he murmurs into your ear. you shiver from the sudden close proximity but nod nonetheless.
"is there a problem here?" soobin states. he easily towers over frankie since taking drugs for a long time has ruined frankie's growth spurt. he's by no means short however soobin is winning in height by a long shot.
frankie chuckles lowly, "we're fine robocop." he rolls his eyes at soobin and turns back to you, "so anyw-"
"y/n we should be on our way," soobin narrows his eyes at you and you don't take it as a question. you're not scared of soobin however he's pretty much unmatched when it comes down to it.
"right," you say slowly. you glance between frankie and soobin and they both seem to be in a bit of a staring contest. "come on puppy," you nudge him.
"have a nice day," soobin says firmly. "whatever, damn androids," you hear frankie mumble. you sigh as you both reach a stray table near the truck. you open the wrapper, uninterested in everything else at the moment until soobin clears his throat.
"drugs?"
"what about them?" you mumble through a mouthful of burger. "you just got drugs from that guy," soobin leans on the table staring at you directly in the eye. you sigh dramatically, throwing your hamburger back into the wrapper. "leave me alone ok? if you're gonna lecture me i can assure you, i don't want it."
you pick your burger up again hoping that soobin will just shut the fuck up for the rest of the day. he really has a way of putting you in a sour mood. you wonder for a moment how long you'll have to be working with him. if you can just figure out the cause of deviancy then this little arrangement will be over before you know it.
from that point on, soobin simply watches you eat. it's a bit uncomfortable, to say the least, but at least he's silent. you want to question him as to why he's watching you so intently but you also don't feel like chatting with him. "did you ever expect to be living among androids y/n?" soobin speaks up after a while. you smirk at his question, "you're living among us, ok? and no, i never saw it coming." you feel bitter about his question.
of course, you never expected it. you never thought you'd see the day where an android is running the hotdog stand down the street. you never expected a robot to be doing your job. "you fucking androids are a curse," you mumble. soobin says nothing at that.
the ringing of your phone cuts through your little moment. you sigh, rummaging through your pocket for it. groaning, you reluctantly answer the call. "what's up boss."
after a couple minutes of briefing, you hang up. soobin looks at you expectantly while you throw out your trash. "we got another one, pretty close to where we are. no one else is on duty near us so we'll be on our own for this one."
you brush past him, walking back to the car, "think you can handle it puppy?" you don't expect him to answer but you're surprised when he retorts with his own witty remark.
"i'm practically designed too."
you stifle a laugh, shaking your head, "alright alright let's go."
once you arrive at the apartment complex where the deviant is supposedly located, you stop soobin right at the door. you stare up at him with a stern look in your eye, "remember what i said, no getting in my way and no telling me what to do. remember that i'm also your superior."
a part of you feels like you don't necessarily have to tell him these things since he probably stored that information from the first case. however, you want to feel power over him. you don't care if soobin is an android, you'd be damned if he felt like he was superior to you just because you were a human and he was a robot.
"i will do what is needed for me to complete my mission," he states. you roll your eyes at the answer he opts for but nonetheless continue onward. "we gotta be careful here, we don't actually know if the deviant is armed."
"you got sent any info on the guy?" you ask. soobin sighs, "the only thing we know about him is that he's a deviant. the people living on the floor below claimed they were hearing strange noises but supposedly no one has lived here for years."
you chuckle to yourself, "yeah it sure looks like it." you look around, taking in the beat-up state of the hallway. it's dimly lit and the walls are tattered and torn. there are boarded-up doors and the floor almost looked like it would give in with anymore added weight. yeah, there definitely hadn't been anyone inhabiting this floor in a while.
you lean on the door frame as you watch soobin knock on the door as a normal would but no one answers. "is anyone in there?" he shouts. you both wait for a moment but again no one answers. you sigh, shaking your head. "move."
soobin steps out of your way hastily and moves to stand behind you. you swiftly take your gun from it's holster on your hip and shoot the door handle. the handle flies off and just like that the door creeks open. you'll admit there might've been a more suave way of doing it that didn't involve much noise, however you wanted to get this over with.
you motion for soobin to trail after you into the apartment. you both slowly inch into the flat and you peek your head in to check if anyone is inside. when you confirm there's no one in the apartment you both walk in cautiously. the place is completely torn apart. there are bird feathers all over the place and the walls have odd writings on them. you sigh walking up to one of the walls, "we are alive."
soobin shakes his head but says nothing. "let's check the other rooms in this place," you propose. you both split up to look for clues about the deviant which gives you time to think.
soobin goes to snoop around in the closet while you head to the bathroom of the apartment. the sink is riddled with bird feathers and bird shit. you hold your breath as you look around the small room. the place definitely hasn't been kept up by anyone in a long time. "ra9?" you mumble. you lean closer to the wall to inspect the odd writing. it's not just written once or twice, it's scattered all over the wall. "what the fuck does that even mean."
before you can even begin to infer, soobin walks into the bathroom. "i think i found something." you sigh looking up at him, "what is it."
he leads you back into the living room and points to a birdcage on the floor. "this must be what caused that noise that the people on the other floor sent complaints about." he paces around the room for a moment. "i should be able to reconstruct what may have happened, that way we can know where the deviant went."
you watch silently as he walks back to the birdcage. he stays still for a moment then proceeds to look around the room in all directions. "see anything?" you ask.
he doesn't answer, much like last time he simply stands up and walks towards an opening in the roof. soobin slowly reaches his hand up to it but someone jumps out at him.
soobin is effectively knocked to the ground and you stand there shocked. you were really not expecting anyone to be up there. you shout in alarm and the deviant is alerted instantly. before you can reach your gun, the deviant haphazardly pulls a gun of its own from is pocket.
it's clearly not skilled in holding a gun since androids aren't allowed to bear arms. you can tell it's not sure where to shoot and it's scared. you can feel the cold metal of your gun graze your fingers but you stay still as you hear a gunshot pierce the air.
your eyes widen as they follow the deviant run out of the apartment. "SOOBIN GO," you shout. you're not sure why you're telling him to chase after it when you can do it yourself but you feel like you can't move. you suddenly feel yourself collapse on the ground, letting out a strangled yell. "FUCK!"
"Y/N?" you hear soobin shout. for some reason everything is hazy and all you're hearing is white noise. you think you yell at soobin to chase after the deviant again but even in your hazy state, you can't quite tell. after a couple more seconds of struggling to comprehend what's going on, you finally pass out.
Tumblr media
you shift around, looking for a comfortable position on the couch. you're not sure why you're on a couch but you're not complaining. it feels like forever since you've felt like you've had a chance to rest for a moment. you're starting to really get sick and tired of androids. before all of this, all you did was either sit on your ass all day or go around helping the elderly or bust your local neighborhood scum. you seriously couldn't believe how much your life could change in just the span of a couple of days.
speaking of change, soobin was going to have to go. he's a pretty capable partner however, you both clashed too much. granted you haven't given him much of a chance. you just hated the concept of having a partner, much less an android partner.
you suddenly feel something cold press onto your leg. you hiss out in pain but when you try to move your leg the pain gets worse. "you shouldn't move," you hear a voice say. you furrow your brows because you're sure you live alone.
you peel your eyes open and see what looks to be soobin standing over you. "soobin?" after the name registers in your head your eyes widen and you try to sit up but the pain in your leg keeps you in place, "what the fuck are you doing in my house?"
soobin calmly takes a seat on the seat opposite from you. you study his body language and face. if you didn't know any better you say he seems a bit distressed. you want to laugh at yourself for thinking that because there's no way an android can know what distress feels like. he seriously looks like he's racking his brain to figure out what to say first.
"you got shot," he opts for. your mouth falls open, looking down at your leg. almost as if on cue, you start to feel immense pain shoot through your body. "fuck fuck fuck!" you yell. soobin rushes up to press the ice pack down on the bandaged wound.
"don't fucking touch me!" you yell at him. he flinches back but you don't notice because you're too busy trying to dissolve the pain. you breathe in and out. you wouldn't say you've never gotten shot before but no bullet has ever successfully hit you. you've only been grazed here and there but it was rare since no one is allowed to really carry guns besides cops.
after doing your breathing exercise for a couple of minutes, you finally bite back the pain. "what happened to the android?" you grit out. you hope getting shot was worth it, you hope the bastard that shot you in rusting in his cell. soobin sighs, "we lost it. it's completely my fault. i should've chased after it."
"you didn't chase after it?" you're not sure if you sound surprised or angry but soobin looks up at you like a scolded puppy. the alarms in your brain are blaring right now. why did soobin ignore the mission? he was supposedly always supposed to complete his mission no matter what. surely he didn't ignore the mission simply because you collapsed from a leg shot. you think about the subtle warning yeonjun gave you back when you had your first deviant case.
"seems like some kind of uprising? the machines seem to be rebelling."
soobin isn't- he's not a deviant is he? you can't really remember if he's been defective this whole time or if he's the best actor you ever met. you look up at him suspiciously and he shifts his gaze subtly when you make eye contact.
"it's been 4 days since your injury. yeonjun came by a couple of times to check up on you," you see his fists tighten at that. something may have happened between them while you were out. you know yeonjun can be a bit overprotective over you at times, even when he knew the job was dangerous.
"the chief says its best to lay low for a couple of days until you get better so that's what we're doing," he continues. you stay quiet. you're not exactly sure what to say. you don't know if calling him out will anger him or something.
you both stay quiet for so long that you start to think soobin may have gone into hibernation mode or something but when you look up at him he's staring directly at you. you sigh, "what is it this time puppy."
he stares at you for a little while longer before answering, "why don't you like androids?" you should've known this question would come up but damn why'd he have to ask it right now. why do you hate androids? one just shot at you a couple of days ago and left you unable to work.
"it's' because you're all nuisances," you mumble. he looks down at his hands and you have to remind yourself that if you're right, he somehow has feelings now.
you groan, "you all are supposed to be perfect! better versions of us humans! i guess you just fail when we put too much trust in you." you sigh, you don't expect soobin to understand since you're being too vague.
he sits, waiting patiently for you to continue. "someone close to me passed away a long time ago. i don't really expect you to understand what grief is," you chuckle bitterly. you look around the room in silence. you don't really want to cry right now so you take a deep breath.
"the doctor was out, probably fucking around i don't know. they had an android do the job. they didn't make it because the android failed to do it's task." you shake your head. "yeonjun was there for me at the time, which im grateful for. i probably would've singlehandedly destroyed all androids myself if he wasn't there."
soobin looks at you with that same curious boyish look and it makes you want to hit him. he's so annoying even when he's not doing anything. "y/n im sorry," he says.
"yeah you should be. the deviant got away because of you," you mumble. you both sit in silence again until you decide to speak up again. something in you wants to thank him for not leaving you behind but you also don't want to break character.
this is too new to you. you've never really had a partner, only ever going out into the field with yeonjun. even then, whenever either of you got hurt it was never as awkward as this. you sigh, "at least you didn't leave me behind." is the best you can come up with.
soobin looks up at you again with a hopeful look in his eyes and it makes you hate how alive he looks. if he was really a deviant you'd have to tread lightly with him. you're not sure if he's plotting against you or what his goal is but you've gotta start being more careful around him.
"y/n i look forward to working with you more," he says lightly.
for now though, for now, this will have to do.

one image at the end
You just left Jungkook and Sian to go to work. You were currently driving while listening to songs playing on the radio, just thinking to yourself.
You couldn’t wait for the time when you could finally go back to your normal life. You know? Being able to see your son for longer than 2-3 hours a day. You wake up, get ready for class, sometimes make breakfast, wake up Sian and help him get ready, but mostly Jungkook does that. Go to school, get home from school, do school work, get ready for work, leave for work, work for hours, then get home, and sleep. It sounds a lot worse listing it like that, but you feel like you really don’t have time for anything else. The days where your professor lets you out early, or your boss tells you to go home sooner are your favorite days. You hope that one day you’ll be able to take Sian to school. As of now, Jungkook is the one who takes him to school since you go to class before he does. It sucks.
But again, you’re doing this for him!
-
It’s been a few hours since you came to work. Same thing goes on everyday. You stand in the hostess stand to welcome customers in and seat them. Some listen, some refuse, some are polite, and some say things that you wouldn’t want any of your nieces and nephews (and son of course) to hear.
Sometimes you see familiar faces, like friends from high school or college… from the first time you went to college. Those are never fun.
You were looking through the reservation lists when you saw a figure walking up to the stand.
“Hi, welcome to House of Cards! How many will be dining in tonight?” you say as enthusiastically as you can sound, gathering some menus.
“Oh, Yn? Is that you?”
You look up to the woman who said your name. You were quite confused, not remembering who she was.
Until.
“We were in the same Stats class in uni-- well, until you dropped because of--” the lady, who you now remember as one of the girls you worked on a group project with, gives you a sheepish look. “How’s that going by the way? Are you still with the dad?” She says, putting on a sad face, pursing her lips.
You laugh slightly, nodding your head.
“We’re all doing great, thanks for asking,” you smile awkwardly at her.
“Not married yet though?” She says, looking down at your ringless finger.
“—So I’m guessing just the two of you tonight?” You say, diverting the conversation back to work.
“Oh! Yes, just us two,” she says, turning to the man next to her. “It’s our anniversary.” You fake a smile for the two.
“Happy anniversary! Let me get the two of you seated.”
-
“YN!” Your head shot up from the computer screen in front of you to the sound of some familiar voices.
Your face lights up and a huge smile spread across your face when you see your girls running towards you.
“What are you guys doing here??” You ask, not seeing any of their significant others or kids with them.
“We missed you,” Yuna pouts.
“I missed you guys too, my break’s in ten minutes,” you say. You grab six menus, turning back to them. “Let’s get you seated first though.”
-
In your thirty minute break, you sat and talked with your girls. Something you’ve been needing for a while.
“So how’s school going?” Mae asks you. You shrug.
“Tougher than I thought,” you laugh half heartedly. “My professor is pretty hard on us, so I can’t miss any classes. And if I really have to, I’m screwed because I have no one to ask if I missed anything.”
“I don’t know, but it was a lot easier before I had a kid? I mean, still hard of course, but now I have to go to work right after I finish my assignments and I barely have any time to spend with my family,” you add.
“It’s understandable, you’re still adjusting. I know you’ve probably heard that a hundred times,” Sarang says. “But after a bit, it’s going to be easier to handle. Everything will fall into place eventually.”
You groan, dropping your head onto the table. Your cheek falling onto your arms.
“I hope so, I expected my life to be all in the right place by now,” you say.
“And what was it supposed to look like?” Sohyun asks.
“Well before Sian, I thought at this age I’d be ready to get married, had my career sorted out, and then eventually have a kid. After Sian, I thought at this age, I’d have a good, stable job and that I was at least engaged or already married. But right now I’m a full time student and a part time hostess at a restaurant. And a mom, but not a wife, nor am I close to being one,” you say sadly. Byul pouts, petting your head.
“Well, we might not be where we expected to be at this age, I know for all of us, we’ve been through things our younger selves would have never imagined to be, but like what Sarang said… it’ll all fall into place in the end. So don’t lose hope,” Bora says, smiling down at you.
“I’ll hold on,” you say, staring into space. Specifically the direction of where you seated your old classmate.
“What are you looking at?” Yuna asks, turning to the direction of where you were looking.
“You see that girl in the green dress across from the guy with the fidgeting fingers?” you say. The girls turn and nod.
“We were groupmates in college. I never liked her. I think her boyfriend’s proposing to her tonight. She mentioned to me that it’s their anniversary.” Right when you say this, the guy reaches into his pocket, pulling out a small box.
“Oh…” Mae says, watching the girl get proposed to right in the middle of the restaurant.
“Don’t look,” Byul says, covering your eyes, making you giggle.
“It’s okay,” you say, pulling her hand down, and sitting up.
“My time will come one day. I will get that degree, get a job, marry Jungkook, and have another Sian,” you say to yourself, and out loud to your friends. A smile lit up on all of their faces.
“To Yn!” Sarang yells out, holding up her glass of water. No one was drinking alcohol tonight but you all raised up your drinks anyways.
“TO YN!”
You seven were too caught up and into the moment to remember that a proposal was currently going on and that your coworkers and other guests were clapping for the newly engaged couple that you didn’t see the dirty looks coming your way.
“I never really thought of how I want to get proposed, but if Jungkook ever mentions it to any of you, or any of the guys, please tell him not to do it in the middle of a restaurant.”
Sohyun laughs, pointing her glass of raspberry ice tea towards you, “will do.”
-
“Yn,” one of your coworkers called. You turn away from your girls, looking up at him.
“Hm?”
“Your breaks over,” he says.
“Oh--”
“Aww, no,” Byul says a bit too loud, quickly slapping her hand over her mouth. “I mean, y-yeah Yn, you should get back to work,” she says, nudging you out of the seat. You and the other girls couldn’t help but laugh.
“Okay, I’ll be right there,” you tell him, turning back to your friends.
“I’ll see you girls later,” you say, walking back to the hostess stand in the front of the restaurant.
“Yn!” You turn to your name being called and you see that girl from your class showing off her ring to you. You gave her a smile, giving her an awkward thumbs up before turning back around to roll your eyes.
Just a few more hours and you’re out of here.

Hawks x Ex-Hero! Reader
Warnings: strong language and that’s it! Just fluff! :D please enjoy <3
Tumblr media
“Marry me, (Y/N). Be the sauce to my chicken nuggets.”
“No thank you, Mr. Hawks. Are you here for an appointment with Enji or another attempt to get me to go out with you?”
“Heh, didn’t expect the flame-hero’s secretary to be so cold. Haha! Marry me (Y/N)?”
“No thank you.”
This was practically a daily routine for you. You worked at Endeavors agency as a secretary for the new number one hero. You scheduled his appointments, did some paperwork here and there while he was off on patrol, the usual stuff. It’s what your job application consisted of. However, being pestered everyday by the same man was not in the job description. Pro-hero Hawks has been courting you for months now, asking you at least once everyday to go out with him, go on a date, or marry him. There was even a pool within the office with people predicting how many times a day he asked you out. You maintained a very professional relationship with Hawks. Him and Endeavor worked very close together, so you needed to be as composed as you could be around the two top heroes.
“Are you pestering my secretary again, Hawks?” You turned to see the one and only Endeavor standing there with his arms crossed and an annoyed look on his face. The flames around his face flickered in irritation seeing the winged-hero leant up against your little desk with his wings spread and a cocky smirk over his lips. “Ah, Endeavor, nice to see you too.” He grinned and folded his crimson wings against his back. You smiled and stood up, respectfully bowing to your boss. Endeavor smiles to you and nodded, letting you sit back down at your desk to get back to work. Hawks closely watched the exchange and narrowed his eyes a bit with a pout, his bushy brows furrowing. “You just want to keep her all to yourself don’t you Endeavor?” Hawks face turned serious all of a sudden, and many other employees came and began to listen.
You looked up having a bad feeling about this. “You get to stare at her beautiful face all day, and her sexy ass, and hear her angelic voice, I’ll report you for being a pervert and hitting on your secretary.” His face lit up happily. The glow of orange that reflected from Endeavor’s flames became brighter hearing Hawks say such dirty things about his secretary. “Then... once you’re reported, I can steal her away to work at my agency! I can imagine it now!” He said and raised his hands up, slowly sliding them apart in amazement. You sweat dropped and watched the dork of a man in front of you. “She’ll be dressed in a cute maids outfit... and in her hands-“ His mouth began to drool. You obviously knew where this was going. “She would be serving me some delicious chicken nuggets. And then we’d go home and snuggle in our nest!” He hugged himself happily with a small blush on his cheeks.
“GET. OUT!!” Endeavor raged a bit, his flames spiraling above his head and covering his face in a red and orange glow. You smiled at the exchange between the two and finally got yourself back to work, hoping to not be interrupted again. “Oh! (Y/N) wait!” Hawks slipped away from Endeavors grasp and smiled at you while leaning up against the desk with his wings coming to spread again. You were familiar with birds and how the males spread their wings to show dominance and to possibly attract female birds. You weren’t at all surprised. A small crimson feather flew from a place in his wings, and he nestled the tiny feather behind your ear making it match your red and black suited outfit you wore to match the company. “(Y/N).” He began. You blinked. “Yes, Mr. Hawks?”
“...marry me, please?”
“HAWKS!!”
——
“Mornin’ sweet cheeks!” Hawks greeted with a sly smile. You’re looked up and nodded towards him, typing away at the computer and looking at Endeavors appointments for the day. You failed to notice the number two hero pouting and taking notice of the feather he gave you yesterday nestled in the breast pocket of your professional suit. He smiled cheekily and leaned up against your desk, propping his head on his hand. “You won’t find me in that computer, babe. I’m all right here for you to poke and touch all you want~” He flirted suggestively and spread his wings out wide. You glanced at his beautiful wings and silently admired them before looking into his golden eyes behind a small shade of yellow. They really were beautiful. “You do have an appointment today, Mr. Hawks. I’ve let Enji know you’re ready.” Hawks pouted again.
“Why do you always call him by his name? Seems very unprofessional to me, and you know how much I hate formalities my lil nugget!” He gave you a wide close eyed smile, passively showing off his jealousy for you calling Endeavor by his name. You thought for a moment, and finally came to the conclusion it wouldn’t be too bad to tell Hawks about you and Endeavor. “We went to U.A. together. I helped him start his agency. I wasn’t a popular hero so I came and worked as his receptionist. We have a great sense of trust and friendship. So I call him by his name because of our familiarity with each other.” Hawks eyes sparkled and he grabbed onto the edges on the desk, his crimson wings flapping happily. You cocked your head a bit confused as to why he looked so happy. “You were a hero? That mean you still have your license?”
You nodded. He laughed and stared at you dreamily. You were really his kinda woman. “Mmm, well now I know what to talk about with Endeavor. I really just scheduled this appointment so I could have more time to stare at you!” You sighed and shook your head. He really was a strange hero indeed. You stood up and gathered some papers before turning on your heel and making your way towards the elevators. “I’ll walk ya up there, chickadee!” You sweat dropped at all his goofy nicknames for you, all having to do with birds. Dove, chicken nugget, chickadee, etc. It was honestly very cute. “I have to give these to Enji before his meeting with you. They’re very important.”
“Let me help ya.” He deployed a few of his feathers and plucked those papers right out of your hands and they whisked away up to the number one hero’s office. You watched those important files slip from your grasp so easily and leave up to the top floor. A frown graced your lips. “Mr. Hawks, please. As much as you-“ You stopped right in your tracks when you noticed a blush creeping to his face accompanied by a small smirk. Something you failed to notice was a small tickle on your belly. You looked down and flushed red seeing one of Hawks crimson feathers holding your skirt up a bit to see what color panties you had on. Good day to wear your favorite pair. “‘Keep dreaming’? Oh baby I will.”
“HAWKS!!!” The sound of your out of character voice caught him off guard as you jerked your skirt back down. He only saw the hem where the words were, but it was still embarrassing. He’d never heard your voice like that besides the professional tone you always held. Everyone turned their heads towards you at your sudden outburst, and your face was bright red. Your hands immediately went to our face and you quickly walked away, hoping to catch the elevator and get away from Hawks. “Wow... I need ta remember how amazing your voice is! I’ll think about it now when I go to bed!” He grinned and followed right behind you like a lost puppy. You turned and glared at him, displaying your anger. This only made him up his game. “Ya know... I made reservations for two at Yoritomi. I need a special date! I rented out the whole restaurant just to spend time with this one woman... if only she’ll say yes...?”
This was peer pressure.
You gave a heavy sigh. “Take one of your fan-girls. They’d love to go with you. They’ll always say yes.” You kept your head low entering the elevator with the winged hero following behind you. He tapped and rubbed his chin in thought, but it was obviously a facade since you knew he was going to say something about wanting you to come with him. “That is true... but I like when girls are hard to catch~ I usually go to easy women for sex.” You didn’t know whether to feel offended, jealous, or flattered. On one hand he admitted he liked you, on the other, he also admitted he had indulged a few female fans and women who wanted him. You were sick of his perverted comments, so you fired one back before stepping out of the elevator at the last second. “Well, I like my men tall and strong. It also wouldn’t hurt if he were a famous hero... preferably the number one~”
You winked and turned on your heel, leaving the hero stunned. You were joking obviously, and you were sure he knew that, but it would still leave a sting of jealousy in him. The hero huffed with a pout and aggressively began to press the open button on the door, but to no avail. He hated that you were teasing him, but at least you were teasing him. Before you had nothing to do with him, just blandly saying no and continuing to work. Now, you were teasing him and taunting him. “You’ll be mine my little bird, someday just you wait!” He gave a confident grin and put his hands behind his back while he rode the elevator up. A familiar ding echoed in his ears and he stepped out only to be met with a thick chest covered by navy and small flames. “Ah! Endeavor!”
“I hope you aren’t here to waste my time again, Hawks. I have better things to do than listen to your mindless talking.” The blonde hero laughed and shoved his hands into his pockets, kicking his feet out and walking stiff-legged. Endeavor groaned in annoyance at his carefree childish attitude and sent him a glare. The lower ranked hero held his hands up in defeat and sighed blissfully. “Nope, I’m here to make a negotiation.” The flame hero cocked an eyebrow at the younger man and crossed his arms over his toned and heavily muscular chest. He was not too keen on listening to Hawks’s careless banter. “I promise I’ll leave ya alone! Just negotiate with me, and I’ll make sure it’s worth your time!” Endeavor sighed and opened his office door for the winged hero.
“It better not be what I think it is.”
“Isn’t this great? Our first patrol together. This’ll definitely be one for the books don’t cha think, (Y/N)?”
“Yes Mr. Hawks...”
“Nah Ah! Just Hawks sweetheart. No need for formalities. In honesty I just hate them!” He gave a carefree smile and strolled along the streets with his favorite little secretary. He only heard a sigh in return. You were dressed in your old hero costume that squeezed all your curves in the right way. He smirked and whistled lowly. “Ya know, I can feel all the people staring at you, and it’s honestly making me realllyyy jealous.” His wings slowly spread in a possessive manner, shielding your curvy body from the watchful eyes of perverted men. You looked over at him questionably. You could feel the warmth radiating off his wings, and the soft feathers that barely grazed your smooth skin. It sent shivers down your spine. “Well I’m sure I can say the same about all your fan girls. They stare at you and fantasize right there with no shame.”
...wait...
Your eyes widened as soon as you heard his silence. Terrified eyes slowly cast over towards him, regretting your words instantly seeing his cocky smirk. “Ahh~ so girls staring at me makes you jealous? Well how bout we make everyone jealous.” He retreated his wings and replaced his large wing with his arm, tightly coming around your waist. If your cheeks weren’t red before they are now upon his sudden bold move. You had no idea what to do. “Be honest with me, okay? How long have you really had feelings for me, (Y/N)?” You had to compose yourself immediately. You were a professional woman. Needed to be professional with Hawks and not engage in anything romantic or sexual. “Please Mr. Hawks. The only reason I’m out here with you is because Enji-“
“Hawks. Just. Hawks.” Your mouth closed shut after that. His tone was all you needed to know how upset and irritated he was. In all honestly, you did have feelings for him, but you wanted to keep a professional relationship to keep him and yourself from being hurt, again. “I’m sorry, Hawks, but... I have my reasons to be professional. I have my reasons not to date you. Please drop it.” The winged-hero wasn’t expecting such an annoyed answer from you. Usually you would groan and just roll your eyes at his childish demand to drop formalities. You walked ahead of him on your patrol. “I used to date a pro hero. Before he cheated on me, and humiliated me and my career. That’s when I quit the hero business, and returned to help my best friend climb the ranks. As he deserves. For all of his hard work. Now please. Drop romance, Mr. Hawks.”
This stunned him into silence. Someone had cheated on you? Pro hero? Humiliated you? He was now desperate to know more. “Hey woah! You can’t just drop somethin’ like that on me. You gotta explain a bit more, I may know-“ You rudely cut him off by grabbing his collar and yanking him close to you. The look in your eyes killed him to the core. You were still beautiful, even heartbroken and angry. “You don’t know how I feel Hawks. Knowing you, you’ve probably cheated on multiple women. Look at you. You’re charming, handsome, charismatic, friendly, everyone adores you! But they don’t know the real you do they? They don’t know that you’re selfish! Greedy! And just a plain scumbag!”
“You’re a really bad liar ya know?” He stared at you blankly when you grabbed his collar. He seemed unfazed by you holding his fluffy collar. His eyes and ears had quickly picked up on people staring and muttering going around everywhere. He grabbed her waist quickly and flew to the air, holding her close to him, landing on a roof not too far away. You were screaming and begging him to put you down until you opened your fearful eyes and saw the city. You were captivated by the view, no longer worrying about Hawks or your past lover. Just the scenery. Soon, Hawks landed on a billboard post, staring out at the city. “...This is one of my favorite places to come to be alone.”
You looked over at him as he stood at the very edge and stared down at all of the people. All safe and sound. “Never dated anybody. Too busy with hero work to even consider having a girlfriend. But all that changed when I met you, (Y/N).” You flinched hearing his confession, his voice laced with all seriousness, void of any of his playful sarcastic tone. His genuine words of love. “Whatever hero dumbed you... and humiliated you was an idiot. You’re perfect. You always have been. And always will be to me. I try to impress you all the time. My wings-“ He spread his majestic crimson wings, showing off his presence loud and clear. Sharp and dangerous, his wings held such power, and so did Hawks. “-I always outstretch them for you to get you to notice me. I try to court you. It’s how I am. As a bird-man, I’ve adopted some of the traits. That includes... finding a mate.”
“M-Mate...? You mean... you want to make me your mate?” Hawks turned and gave you a firm nod with a reassuring smile. Your heartbeat began to pick up as you stared at the man in front of you. This hero, so genuine and pure, it was almost impossible to think he was even human. He must be an angel in disguise. “Hawks mate for life, chickadee. I want you beside me. Be my partner, stay with me so I can protect you. I promise to make you happy. I promise to keep you safe. I promise to always love you.” Your face glistened a million shades of red hearing his words. The sun was setting at this point. He looked so beautiful. The orange glow gently hitting his face and only illuminating his golden avian eyes, making his wings appear larger and more magical. “I... I don’t know Hawks... I’m still...unsure and scared... and Enji-“
“Call me Keigo, (Y/N). It’s... my real name.” Your eyes widened hearing Hawks’s real name. You were surprised he even revealed it to you. That was how much Hawks trusted you. You sighed and smiled. “Well... let’s make a negotiation. We can go on a couple dates... and If they go well, I’ll agree to be your mate, forever... Keigo. Just please don’t... break my heart.” Hawks wings folded back against his back and he smiled genuinely, not some smug smile or that stupid charming smile he’d show his fans, a smile full of love, only for you. He grabbed your hand shamelessly and pulled you to dangle your feet off the high building post. “Never, dove.” He did the same, still holding your hand.
“Marry me, (Y/N). Be the sauce to my chicken nuggets.”
“...Maybe. You stupid bird brain.”

A Miraculous TikTok Account
Part 22

My brain really gave me ideas for four different stories at once and then said ‘good luck’ huh
There were a few moments right after they realized that it was Hawkmoth that the miraculous holders had panicked. They had all half-ran to their rooms and started looking around to make sure their identities were safe.
And, surprisingly, it seemed that they were.
Carapace’s backpack had been thrown across the room hard enough to dent the plaster but the books and folders inside were untouched. His computer screen had been cracked but Hawkmoth hadn’t even tried to unlock it.
Right, so apparently he was just trying to scare them. A kind of ‘I know where you sleep, don’t test me’ situation.
He fixed his overturned desk chair and took a seat with a heavy sigh of relief. His room was in shambles and he was going to have to spend one of his few nights off cleaning and maybe beg for money from the rich kids, but at least his family was safe.
“Hey, guys?” Called Chat, his voice laced with concern.
Carapace was on his feet in a flash. Considering Hawkmoth was only really concerned with getting the cat and ladybug miraculous, it was entirely plausible that he’d only been looking to figure out those two identities.
(Why had he decided to trash the house if that was just it, Carapace didn’t know. It would be better to not let on the fact that he knew who they were. Pettiness, maybe?)
He was the first to Chat’s room, but he could hear the others running over, too.
Chat was standing in his room, a confused frown playing at his lips as he nudged things around with his feet. He looked up at the others. “He didn’t do anything to my room… I don’t…”
“Huh?” Said Ladybug.
There was a beat where everyone looked over the room. Chat was right, he realized. The room was a mess but not in the same way everyone else’s was. Nothing was broken.
And it wasn’t like Hawkmoth would have just missed the room. It was in the middle of the hallway, and everyone else had been hit. It wasn’t a time thing, he had just… somehow not done anything.
The four in the doorway exchanged wary glances.
And then Rena snickered. “He must have thought he’d already done your room. I mean, look at it. It’s enough of a mess, he didn’t need to do anything.”
“That’s true. I’d assume I’d already done it, too,” said Chloe.
“Maybe we should stay in here for the night,” suggested Ladybug. She bunched up the front of her dress in her hands. “It’s safer, no broken glass to step on or anything.”
“The bed’s certainly big enough,” said Rena.
Chloe nodded. “And it’d be nice to have something to do. At least he has a working TV, still.”
“Sleepover in Chat’s room it is!” Said Carapace with false cheer.
If Chat noticed anything off about their demeanor, he didn’t say anything. Instead, he started walking around and picking stuff up.
They all went off in different directions.
He detransformed and changed into a designated Sleeping Hoodie (which was definitely different than his everyday hoodies) and a pair of sweatpants… then he reluctantly added socks. Ladybug had been right about the floor being more than a little dangerous. Still, wearing socks around the house was weird to him.
At least it wasn’t shoes.
He walked down to the kitchen for some snacks and found Ladybug mourning the broken coffee machine. She was curled up on the ground, hugging the few remaining coffee pods to her like she thought Hawkmoth would come back and steal them.
He slowly knelt down next to her to make sure she wasn’t going into shock or something.
She blinked at him, and then her face hardened. She no longer looked sad, instead she looked absolutely livid. He wasn’t sure this was an improvement.
“I’m killing Hawkmoth.”
There was no response to that that didn’t sound stupid (and he didn’t want to mess up and add himself to her hitlist), so he just reached out and rested his hand on her head. He had no clue what he was doing, but it worked, somehow. Her shoulders relaxed.
“Yeah, yeah, you’re right. Murder is bad or whatever.”
He couldn’t really disagree, so he just nodded and withdrew his hand.
He got up and realized he’d forgotten why he’d come down to the kitchen in the first place. He stood there for a moment, fruitlessly trying to recall why he was there, before dejectedly going back to his room. It was there that his stomach growled to remind him that food was a thing and he headed back down.
Chloe and Rena were in the living room. Chloe had changed into a nightgown and Rena was sporting a sports bra and pajama shorts.
Chloe had her phone out and she motioned for him to move so she could get a better shot. He did so, moving to hide behind the couch.
She beamed at him before tapping her phone once and beginning to speak:
“Hawkmoth is so lame. I mean, look at all this. He comes into our house when he’s completely sure none of us are around like a --”
“Fucking,” Rena swore for her.
“-- coward. Imagine being so scared of what five teenagers would do in retaliation for trashing their house that you don’t even have the guts to do it while they’re there. And all he did was throw --”
“Shit.”
“-- around! Do some damage! Congrats on wasting maybe a few thousand euros, but maybe step up your game a little. Even your akumas do more than this.”
She walked over to show the message Hawkmoth had written them and then rolled her eyes.
“I mean, look at this --”
“Shit.”
“What does he think he is? A 90s cartoon villain? PLEASE. At least those have the --”
“Balls.”
“-- to actually show up once and a while at the season finale. Give me a break. Hawkmoth, if you want us to be scared, maybe you should try being an actual threat, don’t you think?”
She stopped recording and uploaded the video as is.
He got out of his hiding place.
… did he really forget what he was doing? Again?
Well, he knew whatever it was he was doing was in the kitchen. He walked in and realized that, hey, it was a KITCHEN. What could he be doing except for getting food? He walked to the fridge and found that, to his horror, Hawkmoth had just straight up stolen their food. Like an asshole.
He dejectedly made his way up to Chat’s room, intending to collapse on his bed and whine until the rich kid ordered pizza or something, only to pause in the doorway.
Chat’s room was… clean? The floors were spotless, the bed made. The room smelled faintly of lavender.
His brain scrambled for an explanation. Maybe Chat had been akumatized. Or, maybe, someone else had gotten akumatized into a copy-Chat and they’d taken the wrong one home by mistake. Or Rena was playing a prank on them.
Chat looked up from the game he was playing and gave a half-smile. He was wearing a set of silk pajamas, because of course he was.
“Are you coming in or are you just going to stand there forever?”
He didn’t know what was going on, which was really just a summary of the entire night if he was being honest, so he just went on autopilot and picked up the other controller.
The others filed in one at a time. Ladybug was first and she blinked a few times before she slowly walked over and sat on Carapace’s other side. He had no clue what she was wearing, because she had wrapped herself up tightly in a thick blanket -- wait, wasn’t that just the comforter on her bed?
Before he could ask her this, she wriggled her arms out of her blanket and started sketching. (Everyone knew not to interrupt her when she was working unless they wanted to risk her snapping at them, and the loss of her coffee could only make that worse.)
A few minutes later Rena plopped herself down beside Chat. Carapace flinched and ended up dying in the game. He hadn’t heard her come in, but that wasn’t surprising anymore, just annoying. He glanced at her and saw that she looked angry enough to make an akuma.
Oh. Right. Rena was the one always cleaning up after Chat. He’d be mad, too, if he had to do that for months only to find out that he was perfectly capable of cleaning up after himself.
She calmed down a little when she saw that their game was currently not going well. Karma.
Chloe came in last and, as always, was the most blunt: “Who are you and what have you done with Chat?”
Chat paused the game and pulled an awkward smile to his face. “I… it’s still me. It’s just… I didn’t want to have my first sleepover to be so messy.”
There was a moment as this registered in everyone’s minds.
“This is your WHAT?!”
Fuck the Hawkmoth thing, this was way more important.

Soulmates Suck... Then I Met You
Tumblr media
Intro: Hello, lovelies!! I hope you guys are having a good day/night!! I have been planning this one for the past week, I hope that you all enjoy!! :) (Since I told her about it, here you go @imagine-lcorp)
Note: You’re stuck seeing in black and white until you meet your soulmate, the catch? If they die, you go back to seeing black and white, Y/N meets hers, but Lena runs from it, Y/N tries to get over it, but it’s harder than it seems to get over Lena Luthor. (Soulmate AU, xxxxx means pov change, ////// means time skip)
Word Count: 5688
Soulmates… They were a finicky thing, you live your life seeing in black and white until you see ‘the one’, some people were lucky and found them early in life, some people didn’t find them until they were old and just settled with someone else, some were not so lucky and never even had one to begin with, stuck always seeing in black and white, never to truly know what colors they were missing out on, that seemed to be the case with 26 year old Y/N, at least that’s what she seemed to think “Soulmates suck” you muttered, falling back onto your best friends bed with a sigh.
Kara turned in her chair and raised an eyebrow “You’ll find-“ Don’t finish that sentence, I’m just destined to be forever alone” you sighed, staring up at the white ceiling “Everyday I meet new people at the restaurant and I look at so many people and nothing!” You exasperated, throwing your hands up before you sat up and looked at Kara “I see more people meet their soulmates in a day than I meet mine” you said, watching as Kara rolled her eyes “Y/N, you only meet your soulmate once, of course more people are going to meet theirs” she said, smacking the pillow away that you threw at her after her statement.
“Yeah well, unlike you I can’t just meet mine in high school” you said, laying back down on her bed and her having met Jessie your guys junior year of high school “You’ll find yours, just give it time” Kara said, tossing the pillow back at you before she turned back to her computer “Alex invited me out to a thing at her work, I think you should come with, you need to get out” she said, not even looking at you as she typed her article, her being a big time reporter at CatCo while Alex worked at the DEO “Nope, I’m going to just lay here and die” you said, closing your eyes and groaning when Kara to you “You’re going” her tone telling you there was no use in fighting.
That Friday night, you got dressed up in your best outfit, with the help of Kara, you in a deep red outfit that Kara told you complimented your eyes’, not like you could tell, all you saw was black on you as you looked at yourself in the mirror “Ready?” Kara asked, poking her head into the bathroom “Yeah, lets go” you said, looking yourself over once more before you sighed and followed Kara out of her house and into her car.
As you headed inside, you saw a lot of people mingling or getting snacks from the snack table, getting pulled out of your thoughts when Alex came up to you guys, Kelly by her side “Hey, glad you guys could make it!” Alex said, smiling at you two before pulling you both into quick hugs, you giving Kelly a nod since you didn’t know her well, her and Alex having met recently, them of course being soulmates “Had to drag this one out, but we’re here” Kara said, giving Alex a smile before she pulled Kelly into a hug, her just being that friendly of a person “There’s some people I want you guys to meet, come on” Alex said, leading you guys over to a small group of people.
“These are some of the people I work with, this is Winn, J’onn, Vasquez, and Amelia” Alex introduced, looking at you guys then looking at her coworkers “Guys, this is my sister Kara and our close friend Y/N” she introduced, wrapping an arm around Kelly “Nice to meet you guys” Winn said, holding his hand out and the two of you shaking his hand “This is Winn’s last thing with the company, he’s going on to bigger and better things” Alex said, looking at you guys and hearing Winn give a small laugh “Don’t worry, I’ll still be around, just so you guys won’t miss this gorgeous face” he said, earning a laugh from you guys before you all fell into conversation.
Later on, you excused yourself to go get yourself a drink, heading over to the snack table, you looked over the array of the drinks that it had “The one on the right is really good” you heard someone say, causing you to jump and look to your left, you having not seen the woman standing there when you approached “What is it?” You asked, watching as she turned and looked at you, your eyes meeting her green orbs Her eyes are the most gorgeous green… Wait green? You thought to yourself, unable to help the gasped that escaped your mouth and watching as her eyes widened in both surprise but also fear “You’re my-“ No” she said sternly, shaking her head and making you raise an eyebrow “But-“ “I have to go” she said before taking off, you barely able to stutter out a “Wait!” before she vanished through the doors.
“Everything okay?” Kara asked, going over to you and having seen the whole interaction “No…” You said softly, shaking your head then looking at Kara, finally seeing her blonde hair and blue eyes “Your eyes are a beautiful blue” you commented, unable to help yourself and seeing Kara’s eyes widen before she grinned and tackled you in a hug “You found them! I knew you would!” She squealed, pulling back to look at you and her brow furrowing when you looked like you were going to cry “What’s wrong? I thought you wanted to meet them?” She asked, confused as to what was going on “Yeah… But she doesn’t want me…” You admitted softly, sniffling some and quickly wiping your eyes “Can we leave?” You asked softly, looking at Kara with the most wounded expression that broke her heart “Of course, come on” she said, pulling you into her side before leading you out.
A few days after the whole incident, you were back at work and even though now you could see colors, you wished you could go back to seeing black and white, what was the point of seeing colors when your soulmate didn’t want you? “Hey sweetcheeks, over here” one of the gruff men at the counter called, the restaurant you worked at set up like an old school diner “ What can I get you?” You asked, your customer service voice coming out as you tried to act nice with this man “Well, I was going to get the sampler, but you look good too” he commented, causing you to roll your eyes “Sorry to say, I’m not on the menu, I will get that sampler for you though” you said, writing it down on your notepad before you stepped away and hung the paper up on the small conveyor “Make sure to treat that one extra special” you told the cook, Donnie, sarcasm very evident in your voice and making him chuckle “You got it” he said, giving you a wink before he set to work.
After a bit, you set his plate down in front of him “Enjoy” you said before going to help another customer, hearing him make a small comment about how your ass looked good in that uniform, that being your tipping point as you did a quick about-face and grabbed the coffee pot “Did you say you wanted more coffee?” You asked before pouring it into his lap “Oops” you said, setting the coffee pot down and the guy drawing the attention of everyone when he let out a shout “You bitch!” He shouted, going to grab you when your manager stood between the two of you “I’m so sorry, sir… Everything’s on the house” he said to the guy then he rounded on you “And you, you’re fired!” He said, looking at you and that having been your last chance “I didn’t like it here anyway” you said, glaring at the customer before you turned and went to grab your things.
Driving back home, you sighed as you stopped at a stoplight and leaned back in your seat, pressing some buttons on your center console “Hey Cortana, call Kara” you said, waiting for a moment before you heard the calling tone start “Hello?” Kara answered, the sounds of paper being moved around on her side “I got fired” you said, hearing the bang of her coffee mug hitting her desk “What? How?” She asked incredulously, causing you to sigh as you turned left when the light changed “Some asshat came in and I lost my temper, dumped hot coffee all over his crotch” you said, waiting for the scolding that you knew was coming “Y/N” Kara sighed, you able to tell she was pinching the bridge of her nose, she always did when she was about to lecture you “I don’t need a lecture, can we just have a movie night and drink? Please? Then I’ll look for a new job tomorrow” you bargained, hearing her sigh again before you heard the creak of her chair “Fine, I get off at nine” she said, rolling her eyes when she heard you shout “Yes!” Before you told her you’d see her then and hung up on her.
Later that night, you got to Kara’s place and just walked through the front door “Hello to you too” Jessie chuckled, them used to you just walking in, them having become accustomed to you an your ways and they wouldn’t have you any other way “You joining us for movies and drinking?” You asked, walking into the kitchen and setting the bags you had in your hands down on the counter “I wish I could, but I promised my mother I’d help her set up her Christmas decorations” Jessie said, tugging their coat on since it was quite chilly out “Its not even Christmas yet!” You exclaimed, looking at them with brows furrowed and watching as they laughed and raised their hands up “Try telling my mother that, you two have fun though” they said, giving you a smile before they turned and headed out, leaving you to unpack all the ice cream, fast food, and alcohol you had brought.
“Started without me?” Kara asked with a laugh as she came into her house, setting her purse down and seeing you already watching a movie with a beer in your hand “Not really, I just got started” you said, looking at her then gesturing to the burgers and fries you had set on the coffee table “Take whatever you want” you said, going back to focusing on the tv “Let me change and I’ll be back down” Kara said, touching your shoulder as she passed before heading to hers and Jessie’s room.
After a few movies and a handful of beers, you were crying on Kara’s shoulder “Why doesn’t she want me, Kara?” You cried, not even knowing your soulmates name and you weren’t sure if that made it better or worse “I don’t know, Y/N… Maybe you should try finding her again?” Kara suggested, gently running her fingers comfortingly through your hair “How do I do that when I don’t even know her name?” You asked, looking at her and pouting some “Alex can help, she might know who she was” Kara said, knowing there was a chance “Yeah… She could help-” you said, a yawn cutting you off as you stretched out some “Come on, lets get you into bed” Kara said, easily picking you up and carrying you to the guest room, you not able to fight it and passing out as soon as your head hit the pillow.
A few hours later, you woke up with a groan and checked your phone, which was almost dead “3 a.m.” you yawned, sitting up and stretching, leaving a note for Kara to find before you went and pulled your coat on, your sleep addled mind making you think you needed to be somewhere at this ungodly hour as you headed out the front door and got into your car, you more sober than you were earlier as you pulled out of the driveway and started driving.
The longer you drove, the more blurry things seemed to get, but you ignored it as you turned onto a dirt road, you finally realizing that snow was falling and clouding your windshield “Fuck snow” you muttered, looking away for one moment to turn your heat on and when you looked back, you saw another pair of headlights right in front of you “Shit!” You shouted, pulling your steering wheel to one side in hopes to evade it, your car tire catching a patch of ice before the next thing you knew, your car was rolling down a hill, you trying to grab anything to try to brace yourself, freezing when you felt freezing water at your feet, your car was in a lake and your car was filling fast with freezing water, you tried to unbuckle but your seatbelt wouldn’t budge “Help!” You shouted, trying to roll your window down but the water stopped it from moving This is it you thought, feeling shear panic as the water reached your neck, your ears, then finally the top of your head, you had yourself stay still, knowing that further struggling wouldn’t help, blinking, you saw dark spots start to surround your vision, a shadow approaching you being the last thing you saw before your whole world went dark.

“Of all times it had to be now… I don’t deserve a soulmate, I’m a monster” Lena muttered, pacing in her office at LCorp “Miss Luthor?” She heard someone ask, making her stop her pacings and turning around to look at who walked in, it being her secretary “Yes, Seth?” She asked, looking at him and watching as he cleared his throat “You have a visitor” he said, looking at her and Lena raising an elegant eyebrow “I don’t have time for anyone” she said, turning to look at her desk “Now, is that anyway to great your mother?” Lillian asked, walking through the door before Seth could stop her and making Lena stop in her tracks “Seth, leave us for a moment” Lena said after a moment of silence.
Once she heard the door close, Lena turned around and faced her mother “What do you want?” She asked, looking at her with a neutral expression “What? Can I not come and see how my daughter is doing? Running my company?” Lillian asked, going and taking Lena’s seat behind the desk, crossing her legs elegantly as she leaned back in the chair “How are things? Still seeing in black and white?” She asked, paying more interest in her nails as she asked the question “Cut the bullshit, what do you want?” Lena asked, taking on a sterner tone as she crossed her arms.
“Of course, I know you’re not one for small talk” Lillian sighed, looking up from her nails and giving her a smile “I need you to do something for me” she said, standing up and going over to Lena “Why should I do anything for you?” Lena asked, not budging as her mother got closer to her “Because I can take your little soulmate from you and you’ll never see in color again” she threatened, knowing if you died then Lena’s sight would become dark once more “Don’t hurt her” Lena growled, knowing she ran away from you, but that didn’t mean she didn’t care “Then do as I say and I won’t harm a hair on her head” Lillian said, looking at her and smiling when Lena bowed her head in consent.
Heading to the DEO, Lena approached a random desk “I need Alex Danvers, where can I find her?” She asked, looking at Vasquez who nodded his head towards a back office “Thank you” she said, looking that way before heading that direction, knocking on the office door when she got there “I told you I can’t-Oh, Miss Luthor, I was actually just looking for you” Alex said, letting her into the room and turning to look at her after she closed the door “May I speak first? This is really important” Lena said, looking at Alex and watching her raise a brow before she nodded at her “I need your help with an experiment, I don’t have what I need in my labs and I need some further insight” she said, watching as Alex pondered this for a moment before she spoke again “I’ll help you, if you tell me why you ran off from Y/N the other night” she said, watching as Lena tensed for a moment.
“That’s her name? It fits her well” Lena said, unable to help the smile the graced her lips at the mention of your name “It’s complicated, help me and I’ll explain as we go” she said, watching as Alex looked unsure “I promise I’ll tell you my reasoning” she said, looking at Alex who finally sighed and crossed her arms “Fine, don’t make me regret this though, Luthor” she said, holding her hand out and the two of them shaking hands to seal the deal.
The next few days were full of Alex and Lena working together on the experiment while Lena explained why she ran, her fears of meeting her soulmate and whether or not you’d even like her and if you’d be able to accept her dark past “She was really upset when you ran from her” Alex said, feeling her phone vibrate in her pocket, but she ignored it “I’m sorry… I just didn’t know how to react… I thought I was destined to never see in color” Lena apologized, glancing up from the microscope she was working at “I’m not the one you should apologize to-“ Alex said, getting interrupted again by her phone vibrating in her pocket, so she looked at it, nearly dropping it when she read the message “Y/N’s in the hospital” she said, quickly pulling her goggles and lab coat off “What?” Lena asked, knowing something had to be wrong since the past few days she’d seen glances of black and white again, but she had thought nothing of it “Kara has been trying to reach her for days, she’s in the hospital, hurry” she said, grabbing her things before the two of them rushed out of the lab.
When they got to the hospital, Kara caught them up to speed on what had happened, the accident, the nearly drowning, everything “She was lucky that someone had stopped” Kara said, gesturing to the man sitting in a chair in front of your room “Why’s he still here?” Alex asked, looking at Kara while Lena just glared at the man “He wants to make sure Y/N wakes up” Kara said, looking at Alex then looking at Lena “I don’t believe we’ve met” Kara said, looking at her with a raised eyebrow “Oh… I’m Y/N’s soulmate… Lena Luthor” she said, looking at Kara and biting her lip when Kara gave her a small glare “She wouldn’t be here if you hadn’t of ran” Kara snapped, causing Lena to wince but she deserved that, she hurt you more than she had ever wanted to.
“How is she?” Alex asked, changing the topic and getting Kara’s eyes on her “In a coma, if she doesn’t wake up at the end of the week… There’s no telling if she ever will” she said softly, looking worriedly at your door and those words making Lena’s breath catch in her throat, you could die, that didn’t sit well with Lena, she wasn’t going to have another person that she was close to leave her… Not again, she had to do something.
After Alex went into the room, she came back out, wiping her eyes on her sleeve but otherwise looking okay “You should go see her” she said, looking at Lena who bit her lip again but nodded and stood up from her seat, thanking Alex when she opened the door for her before she stepped into the room, her freezing when she saw you with a bandage around your head and blankets piled on you, she hated seeing you this way “I’m so sorry” she said softly, feeling like she was to blame with all of this and cautiously heading over to your bedside before taking the seat right next to your bed and wanting to take your hand, but she was scared to touch you “This is my fault…” she whispered, feeling tears build in her eyes as she looked at your limp form.
“I will never forgive myself for this” she said softly, finally gently reaching over and taking your hand, kissing the back of it “I promise if you make it through this, I will do everything in my power to keep you safe” she promised, pressing her lips to the back of your cold hand once more and looking over at the heart monitor as it beeped softly in time with your heart “I will handle who did this, I promise” she said, knowing exactly who did this and this was only a warning in their eyes “I’ll see you soon” she said, kissing the back of your hand once more before heading out of the room “Where’d he go?” She asked, not seeing the man anymore “He went to grab some food from the cafeteria why-“ Kara said, watching as Lena turned on her heel and headed for the stairs, leaving Kara and Alex to look at each other with confused looks.
Heading down the stairs, Lena stopped when she heard a familiar voice and moved down a bit more to hear the conversation, but not enough to get caught “So, she’s in a coma now?” Lena heard a lady ask, who sounded very much like her mother “Yes, but there’s an issue” the man said, looking around to make sure no one was listening “What’s the issue, Mon El?” Lillian asked, sounding slightly angry “Your daughter’s here” Mon El said, looking at Lillian and Lena hearing her mother start cackling “Good, let her see her precious soulmate hurt, more incentive to get this mind control serum done” Lillian said, sounding smug before she checked the time “I must go, make sure to keep an eye on that room, I’ll let you know if you need to do anything further” Lillian said, Lena hearing a door open and close before she heard footsteps coming up the stairs, her quickly hiding away through another door until she heard the footsteps vanish before she went back out to the stairwell “Think you can get me mother… Think again” she muttered before heading up the stairs once more.
A few days later, Lena started working on the serum once more, her having not honestly known that it was a mind control serum until that day at the hospital “Lena? What are you doing here so late?” Alex asked, looking at her and jarring Lena from her thoughts “My mother wants this done by tomorrow” she said, looking at Alex over her goggles and Alex noting on how panicked she looked “What do you need me to do?” Alex asked, pulling her lab coat on and putting her goggles on “You can explain what’s going on as we work” she said when Lena gave her a shocked look, going and looking over what needed to be done while Lena cleared her throat before going into explanation.
“You can’t seriously be thinking about actually giving this to your mother… Right?” Alex asked as they finished up with the one sample that they could make “Lena?” She asked when Lena said nothing, continuing to pack “Y/N wouldn’t want you to do this” she tried, looking at Lena and watching as she finally stopped and looked at her “I can’t have them hurt her anymore than they already have… This is the only way” she said, sounding adamant about giving this serum to her mother before she headed out “Lena!” Alex called, trying to chase after her but she was too quick for her to catch up to.
Heading into your room, Lena quietly closed the door behind her and looking at your still form before she made her way over to your bedside and sat down in the chair next to your bed “I’m ending this… You’ll be safe…” She said softly, reaching over and taking your hand in hers, giving it a small squeeze “I wish we had more time…” she whispered, pressing a kiss to the back of your hand and holding it there for a moment before she stood up and wiped away the stray tears “I’m sorry” she said before she headed out of the room.
xxxxx
A few days later, you blinked slowly, immediately being blinded by the harsh lights in the room and making you let out a small groan, squeezing your eyes shut for a moment before you opened them once more and looked around the room, seeing some red roses by your bedside… Wait, red? Since when could you see color? How long had you been out? Panicking, you sat up abruptly and winced when your head protested the sudden movement, your heart monitor going crazy and not long after, some nurses came in along with Kara who had been sitting outside your room.
“Calm down Miss Y/L/N” one of the nurses said, carefully urging you to lay back down before she injected you with something to calm you down “Y/N, are you okay?” Kara asked, looking at you from the door and watching as you looked over at her “Kara…” You muttered, trying to reach out for her but the sedative got to you faster as you felt your eyes begin to close again, you drifting off into a dreamless sleep.
xxxxx
Lena walked into her mother’s office building, heading up the stairs to her office before she knocked on the door “Enter!” Someone called before Lena stepped into the room, her seeing Mon El sitting in one of the chairs across from Lillian “Do you have it?” Lillian asked, looking at her and Lena looked at Mon El, who averted his gaze guiltily, the guilt of what he had done settling into him the longer he stayed outside your room “I do” Lena said, looking back at Lillian before she stepped forward and held the vial in her hand up for her to see “That’s not much” Lillian commented, causing Lena to nod “It’s a start” she said simply, looking back over at Mon El who shifted uneasily.
“Give it here” Lillian demanded, standing up and holding her hand out, Lena looking between the vial and her mother, thinking of the pros and cons, on one side you’d be safe from the wrath of her mother, but Lena herself would probably be killed… Or worse… Mind controlled, on the other side, her mother would be unable to do anything without the serum, but you would probably be killed in the process… Either way she was taking a massive risk “No…” Lena said, looking at her mother and glaring at her “What?” Lillian asked, shocked that Lena had told her no “I said, no” Lena said before she let the vial fall from her grasp, it shattering on the ground by her feet “You just signed your soulmates death sentence, Mon El!” She called, looking at the man who shook his head and stood up “No” he said, looking at her and Lillian seethed, flames practically visible in her eyes “Then I’ll do it myself” she seethed, glaring between the two of them.
xxxxx
Waking up once more, you noticed it was now dark outside, meaning that a few hours had passed “Kara?” You asked, seeing her sitting in the chair next to your bed and jostling her from her sleep “Y/N, you’re awake” she said, breathing a sigh of relief as she looked at you, taking your hand in hers “Why can I see colors? I don’t remember meeting my soulmate” you said, looking at her and watching her brows furrow “What all do you remember?” Kara asked, looking at you and worried about how much you had forgotten “We just got into college, didn’t we?” You asked, making Kara’s heart sink, you had lost the past eight years of your life… How was this going to affect everything?
xxxxx
Sitting in the back of the ambulance, Lena looked at Mon El who looked a little worse for wear “Why’d you help me?” She asked, looking at him and watching as he shifted the ice pack on his head before he looked at her “The longer I sat in front of your girls room… The more I realized what I did was horrible… I’m surprised you don’t want to press charges for what I’ve done” he said honestly, looking at her and hearing Lena give a chuckle “Trust me, I want to, but that’s not my choice” she said, wanting you to have full decision on what happens “I should go… There’s someone I want to see before I leave” she said, standing up and planning on leaving town, take some time to herself.
After a bit, Lena ended up at your room once more, taking some deep breaths before she opened the door, raising a brow when she heard some laughter before she came into the room fully “You’re awake” she said, relief evident in her tone before she rushed over to you “Lena-“ Kara tried to warn, but she had already taken your hand “I’m so glad you’re okay” she said softly, looking at you and your face full of confusion “Do I know you?” You asked, making Lena’s stomach drop “It’s me… I’m your soulmate” Lena said, looking at you and watching as your brows furrowed “She has amnesia… She doesn’t remember anything from the past eight years” Kara said, looking at her and feeling bad since this was what you had always wanted, but you couldn’t even remember meeting her.
“Eight years?” Lena asked softly, looking between you and Kara “I’m sorry, Lena” Kara apologized, looking at her and wishing she could do something… Anything, but there was nothing “Its not your fault… It’s mine” Lena said, pulling her hands away from you and shoving them in her pockets “I just wanted to come and say goodbye” she said, having been hoping to ask you to come with her, but now that was impossible “I have to go and get ready… I’ll see you guys around” she said before leaving the room, not even giving Kara time to react, leaving you even more confused.
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
A few years later, you had found yourself living in the outskirts of town, you had needed a break from the city life, so you found yourself a job at a stable and you were now living in a place of your own not far from the stable, you had all you could want, a house, a stable job, two cats, a dog, and a horse, a decent car, but you were still missing one thing… Your soulmate, you knew she was still alive and okay since you still saw in color, but you still wonder what happened to her, you had no way of contacting her, so you were just stuck wondering.
Leading your horse to the post to unsaddle him, you heard your dog, Sam, barking “Stay here, Stan” You said, tying him up before going to investigate what Sam was barking at and seeing a nice sports car coming down your long driveway “Sam!” You called, getting him to come to you and holding him as the car stopped a little in front of you “Can I help you?” You asked, the windows of the car rolled down, but you were unable to tell who was in there “Actually, I’m looking for someone” the woman said before stepping out of the car, your breath catching as you saw who it was “Lena?” You asked, releasing Sam from shock and seeing that she had let her hair grow out, but she hadn’t stopped wearing the pantsuits, not like you were complaining “Can we talk?” She asked, pushing her sunglasses to rest on the top of her head as she looked at you and you couldn’t help but smile “Of course” you said, gesturing for her to follow you back over to Stan.
“So… This is your place?” Lena asked, looking around as you made quick work with untacking Stan before brushing him out “This is it, it aint much, but it works for me” you said, flashing her a quick smile before you went to turn Stan out to the pasture “You want to come inside?” You asked, looking at her and smiling when she nodded before you led her to the house, letting Sam in before you shut the door behind the two of you “Make yourself at home” you said, kicking your boots off before going to get you guys some drinks “You wanted to talk?” You asked, sitting down next to her on the couch and handing her a glass of sweet tea you had made earlier, the two of you ending up in a conversation about everything that had happened, some tears were shed, but by the end of it, you two were laying in your bed, you snuggled into her side as the two of you laid there in silence “You know… Soulmates Suck” you said, watching as she raised an eyebrow at you and you chuckled “Then I met you” you said, leaning up and kissing the pout that was forming on her face away “I can’t wait to make more memories with you” you said, your memory having fully returned about a year ago “Me too” Lena said, holding you close as the two of you drifted off, you two having a lot of work to do, but right now you had a lot of time to make up for.

Jagged Stone
Day 5 of Adrienette April is hereee!! I hope you like this one as it’s definitely longer then I thought it’d be haha. Anyway, lemme know what you think of this lil Adrienette date <3
AO3
“Hey, Marinette!” Adrien’s voice shouted at her from the front steps of their school, his hand coming up to wave as he raced down to meet her.
Marinette froze from where she was walking with Alya, heading to the bakery together after school ended. She turned to look at her best friend, her eyes wide with confusion as she practically begged the girl to help her. Alya merely shrugged, apparently not knowing why Adrien needed her either.
Sucking in a deep breath, Marinette turned to face the boy who had come to a stop near them. Giving him a wide, awkward smile, she spoke up, “Adrien! H-hi, how are you?”
“I’m good,” he gave her a soft smile back, “But I had something I wanted to ask you.”
Marinette shuffled rather nervously on her feet. Quickly, she shoved back the thoughts and fantasies of Adrien confessing to her and making a declaration of love. Shooting one last, small look at Alya who was looking at her eagerly, she turned back to meet the eager boy, “O-oh, of course. Is there something I can help you with?”
“Well, kind of,” Adrien chuckled lightly, rubbing the back of his neck as he glanced away from her, “I wanted to ask if you were still a fan of Jagged Stone?”
Immediately, her face lit up at the mention of her favorite artist. Nodding her head eagerly, Marinette practically squealed, “Do I ever! He’s one of my favorites! His music is perfect!”
Adrien’s eyes turned back to hers as a wide grin spread across his face, “Great! I think so too!”
The two beamed at each other for a while until Alya cleared her throat, looking between them with a smug smile on her face. Turning to Adrien, who had suspiciously turned pink, she spoke up, “Was there anything else you wanted to ask or was that it?”
“Oh, oh, right!” The pink on his face darkened as he smiled sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck as he looked down at the ground, “I noticed you’ve been really busy lately, Marinette, so we haven’t had much time to hang out. And, I just got two new tickets to one of Jagged Stone’s concerts, so I was wondering if you had time to go with me tonight?”
Marinette felt her heart practically stop before it raced unsteadily in her chest. Did he just ask her on a date? No, surely not. It must be a friendly thing because she had been busy with her duties as Ladybug and missed out on a lot.
Giving him a warm, grateful smile, she said, “I’d love to, Adrien.”
“Perfect!” He beamed down at her, “I’ll come by and see you later tonight, then!”
With a small giggle, Marinette gave him a happy wave as he left the two of them to get into his limo. Turning around, she opened her mouth to continue her conversation with Alya when her friend practically exploded.
“Adrien just asked you out! How are you not freaking out right now?!” Alya shook her shoulders impatiently, “You’ve been waiting for this forever! Where’s the stuttering, the sighs, and the panic?!”
She blinked up into her friend’s wide, hazel eyes with confusion. With a light chuckle, Marinette stepped back slightly, “Alya, you’re being ridiculous. Adrien didn’t ask me out. We’re just going as friends.”
With that, she turned to continue her walk back to the bakery. She ignored her friend’s frustrated sigh. Of course Alya was wrong. Adrien had never shown any sign of interest in her so it was best to treat this as a friendly hangout. Did she wish that it was a date? Yes, of course she did.
Marinette had spent so long loving Adrien that she couldn’t even imagine a time where she wouldn’t. But if he didn’t see her that way, she would accept it. She was determined to remain in his life so if that meant sacrificing her feelings to be his friend, then so be it.
Alya caught up with her and she could practically hear her friend’s eye roll as they walked together. Glancing at her out of the corner of her eye, Marinette watched as she shook her head, “Sometimes I don’t understand you, girl. Adrien clearly just asked you out and you’re acting like this is an everyday thing.”
She sputtered lightly, looking at her friend like she had two heads, “Obviously I don’t think this is an everyday thing! But I haven’t been able to hang out with Adrien or any of you guys in a long time. I’m sure that’s why he asked me to go with him.”
“Then why didn’t he invite all of us?” Alya asked with a raised eyebrow, crossing her arms across her chest.
“Probably because he only managed to get two tickets,” Marinette shrugged, “Jagged Stone is very popular and he must have remembered I liked him in the past, which is why he asked me.”
Alya let out another frustrated groan before muttering, “You’re too oblivious for your own good.”
Ignoring her, Marinette simply sped up once she spotted the bakery. Entering the warm atmosphere, she beamed over at her parents, “Maman, papa, would it be alright if Alya and I took a couple croissants up to my room?”
“Of course, dear,” Sabine smiled over at her and gave her a plate with a couple of delicious treats, “Have fun.”
She was about to head upstairs when she froze, looking down at her parents before asking, “Oh, I almost forgot to ask! Is it alright if I go and see the new Jagged Stone concert with Adrien?”
“What time is it at?” Sabine asked as a knowing smile formed on her face.
A look of realization popped on Marinette’s face before she dug through her pocket for her phone. Her tongue poked out slightly as she searched up the concert to answer her question. Lifting her head back up, she answered, “It starts at 8:30 so I’ll probably leave at 8:00. Is that alright?”
“That should be fine.” Sabine nodded back before turning to the front counter to greet a customer who had just come in.
Grinning happily, Marinette began to head up the stairs with Alya, still balancing the plate of treats on her hand. When they got to her room, she plopped them down on her desk, nibbling on a croissant as she collapsed into her desk chair. Alya sat next to her, grabbing one of the pastries herself as she looked at Marinette consideringly.
Eventually, Alya spoke up, “You’re really not going to freak out, are you?”
“And why would I?” She scoffed, “Adrien and I are just friends. I told you the day we all went to New York that I had gotten over him.”
Her friend simply hummed, nodding her head before turning to Marinette’s computer, “We still have time to watch a movie before you go though, right?”
“Of course!” She grinned, turning on her monitor.
Contrary to Marinette’s previous words, however, as they sat and watched their movie and the time crept ever closer to her meeting with Adrien, she began to feel butterflies form in her stomach. Trying to push them down, she sucked in a couple of deep, calm breaths. It was only her friend. She could totally do this! Sneaking a look at the time, Marinette nibbled on her lower lip as she watched it tick away slowly.
Eventually, her movie ended with Alya. They chatted for a little bit together before Alya stood up, claiming that she had to go and study. She gave Marinette a quick wink right before she disappeared under the trapdoor, saying, “You can do this, Marinette! I believe in you, girl! Don’t worry!”
“I-I’m not!” She chuckled rather nervously, trying to hide the fear that had slowly started to creep up around her.
Standing up, Marinette began to pace back and forth. She nibbled on her lip as she continuously brought her phone out, checking the time. Tikki popped out of her purse after a little while, watching her curiously, “Marinette, are you alright?”
“I-I’m fine... I think,” she gazed down at her kwami, feeling her heart tug painfully in her chest, “Just a little nervous.”
Tikki gave her a soft smile, lazily floating up from her purse to cuddle onto her cheek, “It’ll be fine, Marinette. Don’t worry! Remember that you and Adrien are great friends so there’s nothing to think about. Just be yourself!”
“Right!” She gave a firm nod, “I can do that! Thank you, Tikki!”
Bringing a hand up, she cuddled her kwami happily. The previous anxiety that was slowly eating at her ebbed away slowly. With another sigh of relief, she took in a slow, deep breath. Tikki was right. She could do this. Actually, she wanted to do this. Jagged Stone was her favorite artist and she couldn’t wait to go see him with Adrien!
A voice coming from downstairs broke her concentration, however. Frowning slightly, she heard her name being called. Wondering why her parents were asking for her, Marinette slowly went downstairs to her living room.
“Is there something wrong?” She called back as she walked down the stairs.
“No, sweetheart, there’s someone here for you.”
Frowning at that, Marinette wondered who it could be. Alya was just here. Did she forget something? Shrugging her shoulders, she turned the corner to tell Alya she could just come upstairs when she froze. Adrien was standing next to her parents. He was smiling and laughing with them and she felt her heart thump wildly in her chest.
“Oh, hey Marinette,” he turned to greet her with a gentle smile once he saw her, “Are you ready to go?”
“Yeah!” She beamed back at him, “Sorry, I thought we were meeting each other there.”
“Sorry about that,” Adrien’s grin turned sheepish, “I guess I wasn’t that clear when I invited you to come with me tonight.”
“Don’t worry! It’s totally fine,” Marinette rushed to reassure him, “It all worked out, right?”
He nodded back at her and once again she could feel the butterflies flutter happily in her chest. Patting her purse softly, she then turned to her parents to say goodbye. Kissing them both on the cheek, Marinette turned back to Adrien who was holding out his hand to her.
“Are you ready to go now?” He smiled at her.
Her face turned a deep, dark red but she still took his hand, giving him a slightly shaky smile. His hand squeezed hers softly and her heart missed a beat as he began to lead them downstairs and then out of the bakery. Once there, Marinette spotted the limo and felt her eyes widen as Adrien opened the door for her.
She felt dizzy as she slid in, feeling him bump against her slightly when he followed her. Her thoughts were hazy as his shoulder brushed hers every so often. What was supposed to be a friendly hangout was really starting to seem like a date now. Maybe Alya was right? Maybe... maybe Adrien did like her?
Stopping that thought in her tracks, Marinette pursed her lips together. Giving her head a small shake, she glanced out the window. No! She wasn’t about to start stammering and stuttering again. She was done with that.
Turning to Adrien, she began a conversation, “So what’s your favorite song from Jagged Stone?”
“Oh, definitely My Miraculous!” He looked over at her after she spoke, “I love the chorus the most.”
“Me too,” Marinette beamed at him before giggling quietly, “Plus, it’s very fitting for Paris, don’t you think?”
They chatted lightly together in the small limo, neither realizing how close they were getting as they gestured around excitedly. It was like they were lost in their own little world, so when the limo stopped they both looked outside with surprise. They had arrived and Marinette could already see a crowd of people lining up outside.
“Sorry, I guess I didn’t notice we were here,” Adrien laughed, rubbing the back of his neck. Quickly, though, he pulled the door open and helped Marinette out.
She squeezed his hand happily once she saw the beautiful lights dancing around outside. The whole stadium was gorgeous and she was so excited that Adrien got tickets for the two of them. Letting him tug her around, she was too distracted by everything to notice that he was leading her the wrong way. Once Marinette did realize, though, she pulled on his hand, “Oh, Adrien, I think we get into line that way.”
“No, it’s over here,” he pulled her over towards a much shorter line with a small, embarrassed grin, “I got us VIP tickets.”
“You didn’t have to!” Marinette gasped, “I would have been fine waiting in line!”
“I wanted to, though,” Adrien shrugged, his grin getting a little wider, “We’ll be able to see Jagged Stone better if we’re up close.”
With a hesitant nod, Marinette then sighed, “Fine. But I hope you know I’m going to be bringing you pastries for a while to make up for this.”
“Are you trying to ruin my model diet?” He teased, giving her a smug smile.
“Maybe I am!” She teased back with a quiet giggle, “I don’t think you’ll be complaining about it!”
Adrien threw his head back with a loud laugh, squeezing her hand again, “You’re right, you know.”
With that, the two of them quickly moved past the short line through security. Front row seats awaited them and Marinette’s mouth dropped open in shock when she saw them, “How on earth did you get these seats?! They must have cost a fortune!”
“The model diet must be good for something, then.” Adrien winked over at her.
She rolled her eyes, bumping his shoulder with hers before she turned to face the stage. Realizing something, she turned back to him to shout over the background music that was playing, “I almost forgot to say thank you! This was a really great surprise, Adrien! I’m glad I could come with you!”
“You’re welcome, Marinette!” Adrien shouted back, opening his mouth to say something else when a loud guitar riff exploded across the speakers. Jagged Stone came out on stage, interrupting what Adrien was about to say. He gave her an apologetic grin before they both turned to look at the stage with loud cheers.
Music blasted around them as the two teenagers sang along with the lyrics. Marinette’s mind was ablaze with excitement and bliss as she danced next to Adrien. It was nice to finally be able to get out of the house. Especially when she got to do it with one of her best friends. She turned her head to look at him and was surprised to find that he was already looking at her. She gave him a warm smile, bouncing up and down excitedly with the music when Adrien glanced away quickly, a light pink brushing across his cheeks.
Marinette was distracted from wondering what that meant, however, when Jagged Stone began playing My Miraculous. This time, she and Adrien turned to look at each other at the exact same time, cheering loudly together. They both bounced up and down together as their heads leaned closer to each other to scream the lyrics at the same time.
She and Adrien danced together so much that her feet positively ached after the concert. When they finally left the concert, Marinette felt pure, unadulterated relief once she saw the limo. Ever thankful she didn’t have to walk all the way home on swollen feet, she gratefully let Adrien help her into the vehicle. Sliding into her seat, she turned to beam at him when he followed after her.
“Thank you so, so much, Adrien! I had an absolutely amazing time!” Marinette chirped happily, forgetting about her aching feet for a minute.
“Me too, Marinette. I’m glad that you had enough time to come with me. I’ve really missed seeing you these last few weeks. I hope we’ll be able to hang out more often now,” he grinned softly at her.
“I do too!” She glanced away to rub her arm, “I’m sorry that I’ve been away recently. I’ve just had a lot to do.”
Being Ladybug meant that she already had less free time, but being the guardian on top of that meant that her free time now was practically nonexistent. She was just lucky that there had been no akuma attack today. That would have been a hassle to handle.
“It’s alright, Marinette,” Adrien patted her on the shoulder lightly, drawing her gaze back to him, “I know what it’s like to be swamped with work. Sometimes, though, it’s really important that you find time to take a break.”
Marinette nodded at him with a quiet sniffle. He was right. How could he be this perfect? Adrien was one of the only people who managed to ground her and could take her mind off of things for a while. Giving him one last relieved smile, she noticed that they had stopped at the bakery. Blinking quickly, Marinette came to a sudden decision. Leaning forward, she planted a small, lingering kiss on his cheek and then pulled back to murmur a quiet, “Thank you, Adrien, for everything.”
Giving his hand one last quick squeeze, she bolted out of the limo before he could open the door for her, feeling her face flame to a bright, red color. Quickly ducking inside the bakery, she fanned her cheeks slightly as she watched Adrien’s limo pull away. With a quiet, dazed sigh, Marinette turned to head upstairs and tell her parents she arrived safely. Best day ever, she thought to herself giddily.
