Clear Sky threw his son in front of a fox?!

YES!! He SHOVED him in front of a fox! It's in fury from the fact Thunder refused to kill Frost. This entire section is VERY poorly paced and glances over it in two paragraphs, so most people don't fully register it.

Clear Sky dragged Thunder down off the stump and shoves him at it, blaming him for bringing the fox to camp with his loud disobedience.

He then leaves Thunder to fight this fox on his own. Leaf and Falling Feather jump in to help him of their own accord. Clear Sky then tries to praise him for being strong and Thunder tells him to shove off for the first and last time.

It's not the last baby of his he knowingly and consciously endangers to prove a point. In Moth Flight's Vision, he refuses to allow Acorn Fur to get medical help for Tiny Branch's fox-inflicted injuries until his condition worsened, bellowing, "SkyClan does NOT ask for help unless there's no choice." AND didn't allow her to complete her training after he caused Micah's death.

Clear Sky is a serial child abuser. He is willfully neglectful, emotionally abusive, and physically violent.

see i do think there have been actual instances of fandom people just deciding two characters are siblings with no real basis and acting like its canon and forcing that interpretation on others and getting mad at people who disagree . but a lot of the characters i see people list as examples of this happening with are just actually stated to or heavily implied to see eachother as siblings by the source material and at that point i think you just dont see adopted siblings as real siblings idk what else to tell you

Such a clever way to do a nod to stillsuits. I even like that Law, Zendaya's stylist, got their custom JUUN.J jumpsuits in pink and blue (as all the articles described them; ignore that they look peach and grey in some photos.) He's making a statement about how future fashion will be more gender neutral but to make it palatable to us he put them in gender coded colours. That's both clever and funny. Also, bold move on Timothee Chalamet's part for wearing the same thing as Zendaya : how many people wd dare that?! Such a cool collab! Fashion history was made here!

i was going to make a smaller post abt it. a simple shitpost. but it ended up being longer. about 9 pages or the sort in total. i tried to have it out during the literal date for it but most likely it will be out in the next hopefully at most 30 hours ... .. answering this now so you dont think im ignoring it. the actual finished result be posted in a seperate one. as you can see. dialog/planning plus four pages are done art wise already though!!

I wrote 1400 words today in 3 hours, which is absolutely nuts for me (usually I write in like 1, max 2 hour sessions, and get like 200-500 done on days that I write). I'm tempted to write more, but I'm just about to finish the first big scene of the chapter and if I leave that for myself tomorrow that gives me a really easy starting point to get into a good flow again.

My chapters are usually about 6k-7k on average. I warned y'all in advance that I expected this to be the longest chapter in the entire fic, because this (and ch 16+17) are going to be the most character development-heavy, climactic parts of the narrative. And since I'm want to make this chapter in particular hit like a motherfucker, I am being very generous about not rushing the pacing here. So far Chapter 15 is 4500 words, and my god do I want to write more of it right now, but I know damn well that overall writing more consistently in shorter sessions gives me much better results so I'm going to let my creative batteries recharge.

Normally, I don't make my writing any longer than it needs to be, because I am able to take the events of what could be a 15k chapter and make it just as effective in, say, 5-7k, and it's taken a lot of skill development to be able to do that successfully and without much difficulty. However, (I hope) I have enough practice with the "rules/standards" of "good writing" that I'm experimenting with breaking that particular convention intentionally.

Which is... not usually what my readers expect from my updates lmao. So I'm giving y'all a warning in advance:

I'm gonna estimate that this chapter's gonna be 13k-15k. Probably 12k at the absolute minimum. Will it actually take too much longer than a regular chapter? Probably not a whole lot because I'm in the creative-energy-overflow stage of chapter writing that gets me so in the zone that I've powered through half the chapter in a week before I know it.

The concept of queerbaiting annoys me. I was told that it refers to a work of fiction pretending to cater to a queer audience but then pulling back from it to avoid alienating homophobes, which is an incredibly specific thing. But a lot of people seem to think that it instead means "any time there's any gay subtex, metaphor, or ambiguity" or "whenever something from 1995-2012 was being a normal amount of homophobic for the era."

Urasa was abandoned by his father as part of some double-cross/life lesson about being weak. Everyone in here seems to be so cool with this news except me LOL. I'm so gutted Lizzies character arc is over in canon. A lot saw it coming by the looks of it except me, I thought it was definitely left unfinished with all the promises and closeness they shared. Haiz. I read it all wrong perhaps.

I know you have plans to write post S6 among other things, like divorced Lizzie with Charlie, Honeymoon etc. etc. You also said you will wait for the movie to write some of them. Will any of the WIPs be effected/plans change with knowing T/L fate in canon?

Heh: the fanfic brain says it would be pleased if Lizzie and Arthur aren't in the movie because that's most of what I want to look at post S6. I don’t usually get into fanficcing for a media unless the media is finished, because I always feel I need to see what the shape of the Canon Thing is to work out where I want to play/extend etc. I genuinely thought PB was done before I decided to write the Thing, or I doubt I would’ve started to write. Over time the movie was making the fanfic part of me increasingly irrationally anxious XD.

Every further movie announcement makes it sound like something further and further from s5 and s6, a fairly clean break and almost a new thing. So I do feel released/able to play with that post s6 space more, because I’m assuming there’ll be just another peaky-style time skip and we’ll be left to decide for ourselves what happened in between. Which is, ironically, where a lot of the Tommy Lizzie dynamic lives anyway - the offscreen spaces is when their relationship happens, what we see on screen shows Things Happened Since Last Time but what exactly is left to the imagination. A silence in the movie isn’t necessarily a nullification of what happened previously, it’s just that whatever happened isn’t relevant to the slice of life currently on show. Out of frame etc. (though, i assume Tommy will heavily carry the emotional consequences of prior events forward, as he always does)

And I’d always assumed t and l would never get back together in any traditional sense of marriage or domestic HEA - my post-show headcanon as it’s evolved over time sees them drift together and apart over various instances and times with meaning, but no dependence/obligation or imposed societal structure. So either of them having other love interests also doesn’t bother me.

I have yet to work out if this easing means I feel like getting back into those parked stories you mentioned any earlier than the movie or not…one is all Lizzie and Arthur funnily enough…but I am so slammed by combo work and study and family things my brain feels itchy with irritation (worst feeling) so I’m avoiding putting too much deep thinking on at the moment.

Sorry i can’t help with much comfort or fic offerings! But yeah I think the way pb does time skips will leave it up to the audience to work out what happened, and that’s always been so much more interesting to my fanfic brain than being told. Maybe some comfort in that?
