it’s so hard being a datv lover on the internet right now, i can’t make any comments about how much im enjoying the game without some weirdo on reddit being like “yeah but dont you find the dialogue so cringe? doesnt it feel so disney+ to you?” and when i ask what they mean without fail they’re like “well have you seen taash talk about their gender” 😐

What do you think Ford’s reaction is to new music? I just imagine one day playing one of your playlists for him and him just being really confused. Him being all like, “this is what people listen to now?”
to be honest I think he would be open to trying new music but overall prefers what he grew up with. I think as a scientist being open minded comes very naturally to him, because to do that kind of work you have to be open to explore new ideas and discover new things, so I absolutely think he would give modern music a try! He would be very shocked by the kind of language being used in music these days though. Poor guy would get very flustered if you showed him any lyrics by cupcake, hell I feel like even Ariana grande might make him blush. Will listen to it if you really want him to but will sit there awkwardly and refuse to sing along with you, sorry

Was Ingo a true tumblr sexyman???? (Poll)
Ok so i have seen many debates over what makes a tumblr sexyman and i want to know what the consensus is on Ingo's sexyman status. Here are some points of discussion to think about:
is he weird-looking enough?
clothing/silhouette
tumblr sexyman vs blorbo vs babygirl culture. which one fits best?
personality. are tumblr sexymen required to be fucked up freaks?
was the fandom insane/horny enough to qualify him as a sexyman? How inexplicable was his fandom popularity/portrayal?
popularity in terms of scope and legacy. And do other sites cultures count? ex. jpn fandom on twit
twink death????
And to anyone who may come across this and don't know anything about Ingo, feel free to vote based on visuals alone lol

Thinking about how the Tower & the Adversary routes are connected through the Fury, and how you kind of get there by turning one into the other, and how horrified they are by what they become. Tower is about subjugation - she outright says she does not believe the two of you are on equal footing. You get the Fury from her when you assert your independence and fight back, forcing her to take you seriously as a threat and defend herself. Adversary is all about an equal fight - she prides herself on her strength, but also admires yours. You access the Fury through her by refusing to fight, watching her beat you to a pulp and become disgusted by what she does to you. IDK it is interesting how the Tower & Adversary parallel one another, and how you end up with the Fury in each route by doing what their sister route would have wanted you to do.

radfem question!!
i'm having a conversation with someone about female only spaces (this specifically pertains to bathrooms) and they said that the rule of having female-only bathrooms would "act more like an enforcement of femininity more than anything else."
I think their point is about butch lesbians and/or women who present "masculinely," and so because there is ofc no female identification at the door, and policy would likely just make it more acceptable for women and girls to report if there was a male in the bathroom (without having to determine if the male identifies as a woman), this could end up hurting "masculine"-presenting women (implying that they could be mistaken as male), and in turn just reinforce femininity. Thoughts? (mine are in tags)

sorry but alicent hightower isn’t “ruined” this season. you people just never understood her in the first place and think of her as something she’s not lmao.
of course she’s a hypocrite, she has been the whole time. her holier than thou persona is a facade. she wants freedom of choice and, with that, sexual liberation. she gets that now with criston at the price of her own shame and guilt tied to her faith, which is real (criston’s faith, at least in the seven, is NOT, but yknow. for another time). her going for what rhaenyra got and what rhaenyra had the freedom to partake in is not character assassination lmao. It’s what’s been set up this whole time. she’s not this saint that she and her stans claim her to be. she’s variably flawed CLEARLY (which is what makes her a good character) but isn’t going to stray away from the exact thing she claims to hate.
“duty and sacrifice” and “honor and decency will prevail” are shown to the viewer to be hypocritical statements. fucking obviously. why did anyone take that at face value LMAO. All those things are what alicent herself has been forced to align with since she was a child made to marry viserys. she wants rhaenyra to ALSO fit that mould and to feel that misery that she’s felt, just as she wishes she had the freedom rhaenyra has. that doesn’t mean she believes in these ideas. she clearly goes against them; that’s her character. she believes that she believes them, but her desire to leave the mould outweighs that time and time again.
to say that she’s an outlandishly different character in s2 after seeing one singular episode is insane. she’s the same. she and criston is not a left field decision, nor is it a particularly bad one, even if it did feel abrupt (which is more a pacing issue). alicent and criston’s joint hypocrisy has been pointed out the entire time. to further highlight it is not bad writing or character ruination. you just didn’t understand them in the first place. Alicent isn’t a blushing nun. she’s a woman whose old decrepit husband is finally dead and now has the freedom she didn’t get at 17.

Whenever people talk about the maddie running away storyline like buck was in the right i get confused because wasn't the entire moral of that arch that CHIM was right? And just because i can feel someone rearing up to "OH SO U THINK CHIMNEY SHOULD HAVE PUNCHED BUCK IN THE FACE !?!?!?" no but we r going to get to that jus lemme say a lil sumn.
I always see people saying "Buck was right to hide maddies location from chim because maddies ex was abusive!" And like honestly i think thats cute if it applied but it need not apply here. Buck knew chimney wasn't dangerous, maddie explicitly told him that SHE needed a mental health break. Never not once do we see buck thinking chim is abusive and thats why he's not telling him where maddie is. He's literally just doing it because maddie told him not to. She lied to him and told him she needed a mental health break and that she would be fine but in reality she was about to khs and chim was the only one who knew something was off. And i personally think it's because chimney knows a different maddie than buck does. Buck knows strong maddie, he knows parental maddie, he knows a maddie that takes care of things and keeps shit together. The last time he saw his sister she was handing him the keys to get away from their parents. Buck doesn't know a maddie that isn't in control. But Chimney knows a different version of maddie. He's taken care of her he knows her intimately he knows things she's probably never even told buck so he KNEW maddie was in danger and he was right. I mean Bucks talk with Eddie literally solidified this. Eddie says buck knows his sister but he doesn't know her the same way chimney does and that he should let chim go after her.
Now for the punch iI think u guys are focusing on the Maddie of it all just a little bit too much and not the Jee of the entire situation. Lets say u have a baby, a tiny human that you love so much it feels like ur heart is beating outside of ur body. Now lets say that u just found out that baby was hurt and not only that but someone lied and his the fact that ur kid was hurt from u. Bro i would be pissed ngl. Like i still don't think he was in the right to punch him but like i understand his anger. Anyway im rambling what im trying to say is that im just confused when I see people saying chim was wrong cus like yeah he was IN the wrong for the punch but he was right about his hunch that maddie was in danger
