Amanda Waller is the Daughter of Tucker Folley

So! Amanda Waller has always been an interesting person.

She was born the daughter of Tucker Foley, one of the world's most intelligent men, and had high expectations her entire life (though her father never pressured her)

She was raised in Amity Park, a town that existed on the borders of the Living and Undead Realms, alongside the Ghosts of the dead children and children that never got born at all.

She was told stories of the corrupt government agency that terrorised the town in its early days. Of how her Father and his friends managed to push them out of town and get the Acts that empowered them abolished.

She was raised by one of the men who paved the way for the Metahuman Protections Act to be implemented. She was raised alongside metahumans and non-humans. She was raised on stories of Heroes and Villains. She grew up not trusting the Government for the crimes it committed to her Family and Friends.

So how did she ever end up like this?

How did she end up as the Leader of one of the Government's most shady and unethical branches? How did she end up being known as an enemy of Metahumans everywhere? How did she end up so far from how she started?

Well that's a question only one man could ever answer. Her father, Tucker Foley.

because either this is a trap you have blindly walked into again . . . or he really does love you and could have loved you all this time. and despite all that-

you cannot turn from the path that you are on.

Mihawk is such a capricious dude, oh my god. The only dude you know who is always itching for a fight but only ever a specific kind of fight so he goes out of his way to take the path of least resistance for everything else.

Like he would rather leave than fight Don krieg, Sail away than decimate the marines, live in peace instead of challenging the other emperors for the one piece. And when they do he’d rather follow buggy’s idea of just being smarter about how they go about it instead of brute forcing it like the rest. He is constantly leaving fights but then a swordsman of mild repute and an interesting technique engages him in a battle and suddenly you have his whole attention. Like with vista it was obvious that he could have just cleared him like he did everyone else but he’d never seen the flower sword techinque and by god was he going to miss this chance. And so he engages him in what is essentially a spare.

Because Mans isn’t looking for a fight, instead, like a middle aged director of a short indie film, he’s chasing a feeling.

He wants to feel like his 19 year old self did when he was strong but there were people stronger. When there were still obstacles to overcome limits to exceed. When the world was large and exciting and he wasn’t just waiting for it to catch up with him. When he could look at Shanks as the person he is instead of the person he could have been.

He wants to look at Shanks and not see visions of a grinning red haired boy with 2 arms and a strawhat laughing in the dirt and asking for “just one more round Hawky I swear I’ll beat you this time”

But there is nowhere Mihawk can run that that boy won’t haunt him.

Okay I really see Punk! Miguel as such a father

Dad!Punk Miguel: *looks at their daughter with Pastel!Reader* Why is my little naughty girl crying?

Their daughter: A boy from class is insulting me! Dad! Punk! Miguel: Honey, remember, if a boy offends you, hit him in the face with a shovel! Their daughter: Dad, I'm a girl.... Dad! Punk Miguel: You can take the pink one.

Punk Dad!Miguel is all fury when he sees his little girl in tears. Her cute pink overalls dirtied and her usual braid, matted and a wreck in loose curls.

He kneels in front of her and asks softly what happened. Through sobs, she babbles the encounter of a group of boys that had insulted her—questioned her right to play with the boys when her Papi told her she could no matter what!

Unfortunately for her little body and mind, they resulted in pushing her and tugging on her braid to tease her. She cried and it only escalated the moment further.

Punk Dad!Miguel puts his hands on his baby’s little shoulder and with a serious look he tells her, “Mija, when someone hits you, you hit back. Especially if it’s a boy. Maybe even with something hard like a shovel.”

You try to stop your husband from encouraging her. “Miggy, my love—maybe we shouldn’t teach her things like that?” You didn’t like how they tormented your baby, but a shovel? C’mon.

“But…I’m just a girl.” She whines bringing her chubby noodle arms to show her limited strength since she’s a child.

Punk Dad!Miguel hums in thought, taking in her dilemma seriously.

“Then use one of those plastic shovels that are in the sandbox at recess.”

“Miguel!”

I was undressing in my own room, when, with a premonitory tap at the door, he entered, and at once began to speak:— "To-morrow I want you to bring me, before night, a set of post-mortem knives."

Key detail of this scene that isn't mentioned enough: Jack is quite possibly half-naked. He's getting changed for bed, and Van Helsing knocks once and doesn't wait for an answer before immediately coming in and talking. This whole distressing conversation about beheading Lucy's corpse may well be happening while Jack isn't wearing any pants.

it's been 9 years i think we can all collectively agree now that Flowey has never been a master of psychological manipulation.

No shame to him, he's a kid who's been recently awakened from death and probably became very socially detached thanks to the nature of resets,

but you can't tell me that Papyrus didn't/wouldn't have caught on if he had been planning to take the souls at the end of true pacifist. Flowey is not a good liar. In any case, this does lead to monsters being freed, so was Papyrus really wrong to play along?

And who's to say this all wasn't Papyrus simply playing into whatever would set Flowey on the path he takes in true pacifist, trusting that the human and him would work it out? Flowey can have his power display and then realise what really matters. sometimes you gotta work through your problems the hard way
