just was reading a fic that mentioned Edwin probably was dragged down multiple times in Lust when trying to escape and idk why I didn't consider that before but it makes me incredibly sad. like that's definitely not the best introduction to that kind of thing. and it would definitely further explain his panic and repression we see throughout the show

hi gang i've been actually swamped. Who knew being a narrative lead would be so stressful? But I found the time while things were trying to boot on my computer to dig through the WIPs and find the one thing that was poking my brain. Yes, Shinumi is back. “So where are you from?” Shinumi says, the last word making his voice crack. He winces, but the bartender seems unfazed.

“Yokohama. What about you?” She picks up another glass to dry as she turns to face him.

Shinumi wrestles with the question for a second. “Nagoya. You know, I think I went on a trip to Yokohama at some point.”

“Really? Where did you go?”

“My school did a field trip to… Seriyo High, I think? Either way, it was some highschool there for some sort of dance thing.” Shinumi didn’t realize what he had said until he saw the bartender’s widened eyes.

“Dance? Like, as a competition?” She cocked her head with curiosity. Shinumi blushed with embarrassment. “...It was a long time ago.”

“You definitely have the body for it, but you didn’t answer my question.” she throws a wink at him.

Shinumi takes a deep breath, attempting to ignore the past welling up within him, “Sometimes it was for competition, sometimes it was more like… a performance. I was a fan of the latter.”

in my head recently I've been using the term "ally" more than "caretaker" to describe that relationship trope

caretaker feels a bit one-sided, no one is *just* a caretaker, it really minimizes the character

but an *ally,* that gives them much more agency & freedom in their characterization, i rly like it

and i think it sounds cooler lol

I reblogged it a few days ago, but that tweet thats like : find some little dude and draw him 80 times and watch urself improve. Here are some of my Baz's from the last two years in different styles. I had started trying to digital art, and frankly any art at all, during covid. top one is the first baz i ever drew. I still don't have a firm "style" altho my friends say they can recognize my art.

I'm in a particular mood this sunday morning, ,sentimental, perhaps i'm suffering saudade as i've yet to relinquish baz. I still have little stories i want to tell with him. some funny, some full of spectres and darkness (but persistently, hope.) and. very likely ill draw him more. he's like some weird mood barometer for me, art barometer, idk. this guy!! hm!! schmuck.

Though the days blurred for him in Snezhnaya, Diluc could always tell when the day his birthday would come. It felt like a curse, the horrid feelings he’d so associated with that day never once failing to take hold of him, like a beast intent to tear out his throat. On day in particular, he would have honestly preferred that instead.

Even after coming back to Mondstadt, the day is something he loathes greatly. But Adelinde and Elzer, and Tunner and the rest of the staff do make it easier on him. There is always something special implicit in the way they go about their day, but never enough to dredge up the worst of the feelings. Just enough for it to seem like an appreciation of his effort and care for them. He’s truly thankful for it.
