"Quick!" A- a girl? Wraps their arm around Steph's own, dragging her close and shielding their own face. Their eyebrows are knitted together, they're biting their lip.

"Pretend we're out together please– there are some creepy people following me for some time."

Steph's eyes narrow, she scoots closer, practically glueing herself to the strangers side and smiling brightly.

"Gosh," she starts, then lowers her voice, "what should I call you?"

They fumble for a moment too long, and Steph takes a leap of faith.

The blond grins. "It's been so long since we met up again, isn't it, Beatrice!"

The stranger plays along, giggling behind their hand. "I'm sorry, you know I've been terribly busy," they raise an eyebrow at steph, asking for her name silently.

"Agnes," she whispers, and they repeat. "Agnes! My cats have been missing you too, you should come over more."

"I will, I will," Steph promises, peering behind her to watch out, and just like her new friend warned her, there were some weirdos in white lab coats and some in suits walking around, searching.

"Thank you." 'Beatrice' whispers as they walk around a building, leaving the place in the dust.

"No problem." Steph replies with a smile.

They separate once far enough, and 'beatrice' fiddles with something before handing it to her.

"My number," 'beatrice' explains at the bewildered look. "You're pretty cool, I thought– maybe you'd like to stay in contact?"

"Yes!" She jumps at the opportunity, taking the number with care and getting out her phone.

"My name is Danny, He/him." they speak in low tones, steph following right by their side as they continue.

"Steph, She/Her." She shoots him a quick wink before sending a text and hearing the sound of Danny's notification ping.

"I gotta go now. It was really nice to meet you, steph."

"A joy for me as well."

The common thread tying together how mxtx treats all her well-rounded character across all her works is that a character's past is as real as their actions. That means that a character's tragic past is a key part of their character and should be considered while analyzing them. It also means that their actions are also their own and must be considered when analyzing them. One does not negate the other. The trauma that a character experiences in the narrative is not erased by their shitty actions, but those experiences also don't redeem their immoral behavior. Everyone must live with the consequences of their chosen actions, regardless of what drove them to make those choices. That is the lesson.

Okay, so I had this super VIVID idea for how Garmadon could move on all fours, without his extra arms getting in the way.

So despite my subpar Garmadon drawing skills, I took a crack at drawing it. Basically, he tucks his lesser arms underneath himself and he's able to move around like this. Sorry if it's not super clear. I'm gonna try drawing more of the concept when I can.

This could be completely off but given what we know:

1) Powerful life and death magic (deep magic? dark magic? both?) demand sacrifice, typically in the form of blood

2) Kpp'Ar called his arm wounds "an ancient and disturbing practice" which fits with Aaravos' sole distinction that the 'blood of child' spell is "one of the old spells"

3) In the time leading to his decision to give up magic, Kpp'Ar captured a giant likely in hopes the giant could read a map that would lead to unicorns in what we now know (7x01) is called the Garden of Innocence.

4) There is also something at the Garden that is required for successfully making a Moon primal stone, which is directly related to Aaravos' desire to invert life and death somehow

So Kpp'Ar doing what he could to try and save Soren would match up and reveal an interesting thread of his character, especially in terms of stopping Viren from (literally) doing the same. Not only would these threads convene to help explain how maybe Callum would do dark magic (Aaravos offering up a corrupted Moon primal stone for his usage to save Rayla, or something, as Aaravos needs the corrupted stone to corrupt/invert the Nexus) or deep magic again, but it would likewise give context for how and why.

It's election night! That means I, who try not to voice too many of my thoughts and opinions because this is supposed to be my fun blog, have things to say!

You know, all things considered, if The Orange Menace wins the election, the one thing I am absolutely going to be tear-my-hair-out angry about, completely insane about, would be to start seeing posts from the sorts of people who were very anti-vote, "it doesn't matter anyway" complaining about Harris losing.

Like they weren't, yknow, part of the problem.

I cannot tell you how disappointing it is to live in Texas, to know that sometimes the voter margins are so, so slim, to see in my county alone that the numbers could probably have shifted very solidly blue if only there were More Than 30% Voter Turnout!!

And for all of those who will be surprised! Surprised about the consequences of The Orange Guy winning! And upset about it! In the same vein of conservatives who get upset because, say, the abortion ban affected them, "why didn't anyone warn me" etc, etc, SURPRISED!

I already went through this in 2016, in college, with OTHER QUEER AND POC STUDENTS ALL LAUGHING OFF THE ORANGE WIN THEN, and then somehow being shocked that he made things worse?

And I know I can't put the blame entirely on them, but with the things I hear from my younger coworkers even, the attitudes they or their friends have, it's like. Aha. Ohoho. I know where this comes from. I've seen this attitude somewhere.

She was very young in these scenes and clearly didn't grasp the gravity of what she was doing or what would happen after she did it until she saw the consequences too little too late!

SHe was an angry child who had not thought her plan through and clearly, she felt regret for what she did

She's crying and begging her brother to forgive her!
