In Berry Blast Brigade Yusuke is way more chill about the "Chidori kidnapping him that one time" thing than most people would be but Hamuko does not forgive or forget when it comes to her baby siblings so whenever Yusuke wants to visit Chidori in the hospital Hamuko is in the hallway glaring menacingly.
#this is one of those things where the fact that I only vaguely remember the broad plot of p3 is gonna hurt me#because I don't remember where Chidori kidnapping Junpei happens I just remember junpei misses a boss fight bc Chidori thinks he's the#leader of sees#like I FEEL like it's in the first half but I don't think shinji's in the party yet#Berry blast brigade#hamuko does chill out on this eventually#hence the encouraging Junpei to visit Chidori so she doesn't die#but in the immediate aftermath she's like 'if you touch Yusuke I will kill you'#generally speaking even if they don't get full personas Yusuke Kasumi and Sumire should all almost die at least once#idk man those are children who do not have weapons#A LITTLE child endangerment is going to happen#the tragic thingn is you always have to have mina or ham in your party#because it would be so cute to make a party of just elementary schoolers#the other hard part is making sure Yusuke doesn't take away too much from jundori which I don't think I'm doing but again#the plot floats vaguely in my head#junpei is so good with the kids this is very important to me so he still feels bad

The fact that I don’t drink, smoke also means I rarely thought about hcs for the Frontier kids as adults on this topic.
I like imagining Junpei develops a liking on limoncello and maybe drinks some wine. Has also got some cigars hidden somewhere and Takuya often joins. So basically there is the tenor who smokes once or twice a year , the football player who smokes along with him whenever he comes over, on some hammock or deckchair, in the garden.
Takuya does give me the impression he would like drinking beer ? Football players in italian teams are surprisingly drunkards. After victories he would get loose along with his team and probably post embarrassing photos Izumi will scold him about with a call in the early morning (get that, Takuya). Junpei would just say, “Che cazzo. What the fuck is Takuya doing?” And show Izumi who will get pale and shocked.
Our older googlehead also has to deal with Kouji who will come from his trips with new stuff to try. Special liquors, alcoholic beverages from all over the world and , of course, Kouji would try narghilè. He is opened to anything and hates how skeptical Takuya will act whenever he proposes different nights.
Tomoki used to be the purest, but when he becomes a politician he doesn’t only gain weight but also starts drinking at important dinners.
Izumi gets drunk once and when she does everyone is actually amused. She spends her whole teenage years refusing drinks during nights with friends. Her parents estabilished rules, she absorbed those steel rules like a sponge and she is very straightforward in her no. Still, maybe she will get drunk when she gets to win some important cooking contest and everyone finds her on the floor with a glass of strawberry vodka in her hands. Maybe she doesn’t even drink a lot. She is just not holding her liquor AT ALL. Probably there is a second time during her wedding but everyone is drunk, so who remembers about what happened ?
This means Kouichi is the only one who will keep his discipline as the good doctor he is and just will start refusing getting to hear about Kouji’s adventures for the sake of his heart health.

Human Heart, Aigis' Heart
Here comes Aigis' story!
___________________________________________
I am the humanoid tactical weapon Aigis. I am an Anti-Shadow Suppression Weapon developed in the Kirijo Group's lab. I am the cutting edge of modern military technology, and the culmination of many years of shadow research. Though my body is mechanical, I also possess a human-like mentality, and I am the world's most powerful Persona User. I am particularly renowned for my sturdiness, and just like the story of the Aegis Shield from Greek mythology that gave me my name, I am truly undefeatable, impenetrable, and invincible.
Yes. I was supposed to be invincible.
However, at Gekkoukan High School, where I was currently studying, I never had a chance to use this excellent weaponry in my student life.
To borrow the words of Yukari-san and other female classmates, I felt like a little blue or depressed.
"...Well, today is the 4th, so...um, Aigis-san. Please tell me how you would feel about it."
Oh, by the way, we were currently in class. Professor Toriumi was asking me to respond. I was just thinking about it, but as a cutting edge humanoid tactical weapon, my brain is capable of parallel processing, so I won't miss any questions. But...
"What's wrong? Is modern Japanese too difficult for returnees? There's no need to think about it so deeply."
The text we were currently reading was a novel called "Kokoro" written by a man named Natsume Soseki. I didn't seem to have a good enough understanding of this "Kokoro" yet. After about 32 seconds of silence, the teacher spoke to me in a manner that could be perceived as slightly over-the-top, perhaps trying to give me a clue as to the correct answer.
"He proposed to her over his best friend K, and she ended up committing suicide... I wonder what Aigis would think in that situation?"
"If it were me... I would think that my friend would have committed suicide."
"...It's not the same as it used to be. Give it a twist! Give it a twist!"
"Could it have been a murder disguised as a suicide?"
"Why?! This is Soseki! Don't turn a masterpiece of pure literature into an Edogawa Ranpo mystery!"
"In terms of motive, the young lady is the most suspicious... but we need to check the absence certificate..."
"Listen to me! Listen to what I'm saying!"
As usual, Toriumi-sensei exploded, and soon the bell rang to signal the end of school. If this were a plan for me to kidnap "Miss" from my best friend K, it would be easy... But even for someone with a mind that can summon Personas, understanding this "heart" was not as easy as it sounds.
"Well, you are human beings, but it's still hard to understand other people's feelings. Isn't it okay to worry so much about it?"
My precious friend nodded enthusiastically to Junpei's words. It was lunchtime now, and we were on the rooftop. I'd asked the two of them to come over to get their opinions on how to solve the problem I was currently facing.
"However... the reality is that 'humanness' is an essential skill for my school life. If communication with civilians is hindered for any reason, then my mission will also be hindered."
"But it seems like you're getting along well with the other kids in your class."
"No, I feel like I'm a total stranger in the so-called 'high school girls' community. I can't even fully understand how to communicate via cell phone email..."
"Huh? What do you mean?"
"For example", I said, taking out my cell phone and showing them the email I received from Yukari the other day. It said, "Tell Kirijo SP I'll be late (^_^)."
“This?”
"Normally, the term SP refers to a bodyguard who provides personal protection for important people. So I told the Kirijo Group's security department that Yukari would be coming home late that day."
"Well, that's..."
"For some reason, they gave me a strange look."
"I guess."
"That night, Yukari was very disappointed when I heard that SP was an abbreviation for Senpai. But that's not all. In another email, I saw the phrase "H/K" and it took me three days to realize that it was an abbreviation for 'By the way', if it was 'H&K,' I would know that it was an abbreviation for the German gun manufacturer Heckler & Koch."
"That's something the average person wouldn't understand..."
"What is the point of using gal characters? It is unreasonable to make 'juko' read as 'ta', or 'ju' read as 'sa', and to increase the amount of information that would take only one byte to two bytes. It's inefficient."
"Now now now. That's what being a high school girl is all about. Besides, you don't need to be bound by those norms, Ai-chan is human enough... Ah, that's right."
Suddenly, Junpei stood up as if he had just thought of something.
"What's the matter?"
"From now on, if you want to ask for advice like that, I think it's best to get advice from someone in the industry."
Saying this, Junpei smiled happily. This kind of human-like smile is essential to camouflage one's appearance as a human female, and yet it was something I lacked. I wondered if I could acquire a smile like that...?
"And so, I'm your special lecturer, Takeba."
"I-I'm your assistant, Yamagishi."
“Junpei, in the end, didn’t you just want to use Aigis’s troubles as an excuse to have some fun?”
The situation was incomprehensible.
Afterwards, we met up with Yukari and Fuuka, and for some reason we ended up inside Karaoke Mandragora in Paulownia Mall.
"Well, well, well, don't worry about the small details! Going to karaoke with friends after school is a typical thing for high school girls to do, right? I think it's important to start with the formality, you know."
"Is that so? Junior high school girls go to karaoke on their way home from school... I get it. But in that case, shouldn't we invite Mitsuru-san too?"
"I-I think Kirijo-senpai is a bit different from the average high school girl..."
The details were unknown, but it was profound.
"Okay then, let's start with Ai-chan. What will you sing? Anything is fine."
"Singing, huh? It's my first experience, but I'll do my best."
"Okay then, do your best!"
...
"It was an unexpected situation."
"Well, my head's still spinning..."
"I thought my eardrums would burst..."
"Well, well, I guess that can't be helped, huh?"
It was an unfortunate accident. The moment I turned on the microphone to sing, a terrible cacophony occurred. The electromagnetic waves emitted by my engine resonated with the speakers, causing a phenomenon known as howling. It was like a sonic bomb.
The force of the blast was devastating. All the drinking glasses were destroyed, and the karaoke equipment in the next room was also damaged.
"The electromagnetic seal at the core was perfect, but no one had thought about the drive motors at each joint..."
Was this a feeling of despondent feeling? Was it impossible for me, after all, to acquire the abilities of a normal female student? As if to cut me off from such thoughts, Junpei spoke as cheerfully as ever.
"Well then, let's pull ourselves together and move on to the second high school girl staple! Let's go take a purikura photo!"
".. Purikura?"
I was a little wary of the words I had no memory of, but since it was Junpei's plan, I replied with a firm yes.
"I'll give it a go... Yes!"
"All right! Let's go to to Game Vanick!"
"So...what is a purikura?" Junpei took a big tumble.
...
"So this is Purikura... Print Club? I see."
According to Junpei, it was a device for processing photos taken of several people with stickers. Apparently, taking photos with friends and sharing the stickers was the basis of high school girls. I didn't really understand the intention behind it, but if this action was necessary for the operation, I couldn't run away. Desertion in the face of the enemy was punishable by firing squad.
"Okay, let's go."
"Okay, let's have Yukari and Fuuka together. Um, the background is this... the frame is this... OK, let's start. I'll press the button."
"Come on, Aigis, strike a pose."
"A pose, is that it?"
"That's right, smile smile."
"Eh, a smile...?"
Before I could even process what was happening, a sound similar to the clicking of a camera was heard, and shortly afterwards the stickers were dispensed from the receiving slot below.
"Uh... Wait, my smile is a bit stiff, maybe?"
"She's not laughing."
As Yukari had said, the expression on my face on the photo was what you might call expressionless. As a weapon, I didn't have the ability to change my expression depending on my emotions.
"Let's try again, shall we?"
"I think that attempt would be futile. The fact that I cannot express a smiling or crying face is due to my specifications, so there is nothing I can do about it."¹
When I said that, everyone looked at each other and then burst out laughing.
"What's the matter?"
Without answering my question. No, as if they had no time to answer, everyone continued laughing. "What are you talking about... hehehe... Ah, Ai-chan, as expected of someone who has been maintained by Ikutsuki-san... Hehe."
"Ugh, that's painful... What kind of pun was that?"
"It can't be helped. Ahahaha."
"It's weird if Ikutsuki says it, but if Aigis says it its charming.”
I understood. Although it was not my intention, it seemed that what I said was a pun, a series of similar-sounding words used to create a sentence. I was a little confused, but I was also happy that all of them enjoyed it.
"Huh? You can smile."
"Eh?"
I was surprised by Junpei's sudden remark.
"Were you laughing?"
"Yeah, I saw it too."
Fuuka agreed with Junpei. I saw.
Was I laughing?
"That's right. She has a better smile than our unsociable field leader."
At Yukari's words, that person turned away as if it didn't matter. Now that I thought about it, this person didn't show his feelings on his face very often. Still, he was doing a great job as a leader and seemed to get along well with his friends. Suddenly, I thought of one thing and spoke up.
"Am I of any help?"
"Huh? What's wrong all of a sudden?"
"I can't behave like the so-called 'high school girls'. I'm not good at karaoke or photo booths. I can't understand the human heart. But even so, is it okay for me to be here as one of your friends, as a member of SEES?"
"Of course!" Junpei answered loudly.
"Was that what was bothering you, Aigis?"
Yukari also spoke in an exasperated tone, followed by Fuuka.
"Aigis, you were worried, weren't you?"
"Worried... Yes, maybe I was." What I must do was defeat shadows together with everyone else. And to protect that person. If I couldn't act like a female student, then perhaps I was not up to the task, perhaps I was not living up to everyone's expectations. It was these thoughts that were making my processing unstable, and now it seemed that even I had finally realized this.
On the way back from Paulownia Mall, Fuuka came up to me and said,
"You know, I think that if you get anxious because you don't know what the people around you think of you, doesn't that mean you have a great heart?"
“Is that so?”
If so, I was glad, for I, who was troubled by my inability to understand the mind, was relieved to learn, paradoxically, that it was the mind that troubled me by things it found difficult to understand.
"The human heart is a mysterious thing."
"We all feel the same way."
Everyone was together... that's something that made me happy. I suddenly took my cell phone out of my pocket and looked at the photo I had taken earlier.
"We have matching ones."
When I said that, Junpei and the person walking in front of me looked a little surprised.
This time I was aware of it too. It is at times like these that humans laugh.
I am Aigis, a humanoid tactical weapon. I sometimes worry because I can't understand the human heart, but I am a lucky Anti-Shadow Suppression Weapon because there are people who care for me.

¹. They're not being jerks. Aigis accidentally made a pun.
I sometimes forget Minato is there 😭

Hello! Is it alright if I ask for writing help? This idea has been shuffling around my head for a few months now. I really want to solidify this idea but I'm struggling to figure which fandom to place him in. They don't have big motivations, no "I want to save everyone" or "I want to live a meaningful life". They're motivated by day to day things, like "I want to buy that new game" and "I want to have sushi for dinner". However this OC is also a big coward, and refuses to give his life for anyone but himself. Essentially, "I am me, I exist. And I want to keep existing."
I'm tempted to put him in JJK, but given the themes of it I don't think he'd last long. Or even be that powerful, if this isn't your thing please ignore and I'm sorry for bothering you!
So I can't really write your own characters for you, so to try to give you advice, I'll describe the process of how I came to create Michikatsu Gojo, my favorite OC that I've written for my Nobody Dies Au.
The first thing before you even start is you can't afraid to have your character be a part of the world. You especially can't be afraid of having your character interact with canon characters. That is literally the point of fanfiction to put the canon characters in made up scenarios. Your own ocs can be one such device for putting characters into scenarios.
People always say they hate reading ocs in fic, but what they really mean is they hate reading bad ocs. Often I think the problem is people are too afraid to make their ocs plot important, so they turn into nothing burger characters. Why is this character here if they don't add something to the story? Or they intentionally flatten their ocs because they're too afraid of taking attention away from the canon characters.
The best thing to do is just let your ocs interact with canon characters. Let them be plot important. It's alright as long as they contribute something to the original story you're trying to tell. If you want your imaginary little guy to interact with Yuji and Co go for it.
I usually get the feedback of "I don't usually like Ocs, but I like yours." I'm sure there are people who don't like how much I use Ocs in my fanfics, but I assume if it's against their personal taste they just don't read. At some point you just have to accept that either people will like your story choices or they won't.
So that out of the way the first thing is to try to find a place in the story you want to tell, whether it's just a brainfic, or an actual fic you want to write out. With Michi I started out with "I want to do backstory for Gojo Satoru. Gege is never going to tell us anything of substance about the Gojo clan so I'm going to make up my own."
So I created Michikatsu. Gojo's cousin. Someone who grew up in the Gojo clan alongside Gojo. However, while Gojo was blessed and spoiled, Michikatsu because he wasn't born with a good technique was reviled. They are both shaped by the corruption of the Gojo clan albeit in opposite ways. They are connected, and are technically family but in a distant way. Michikatsu is a cousin, he's not a sibling. They did know each other growing up but you couldn't say they were childhood friends or anything. Michiktasu is the foil to Gojo, Gojo is blessed and Michikatsu is curssed, Gojo is strong and Michikatsu is weak.
They also have very different ideologies. Gojo only values strength and only takes an interest in strong people. Michikatsu believes that there's a strength in weak people trying and struggling to live their lives even if they're not strong like Gojo or like Yuji. Gojo is recruiting strong kids to his child army, Michikatsu wants to spare weak children like Junpei, Mimiko and Nanako etc.
So Michikatsu is basically crafted entirely around Gojo to be his shadow and his foil. His main plot purpose is to further characterize Gojo, shed light on his backstory, and inform you of certain things about Gojo by contrasting and comparing to Michi.
The next thing is to try to focus in on the central idea of your character. Characters are just ideas after all. Michi's central theme is motherhood. His central philosophy is that there are no bad children. Therefore there are no bad victims. His goal is to become a teacher like Gojo, but unlike Gojo who wants to teach children sorcery Michi wants to teach them math. Unlike Gojo who wants to reform the sorcery world, Michi wants to take his little family and run away from the sorcery world entirely. Gojo takes in strong students, Michi wants to protect weak children. Gojo can't save bad victims while Michi believes that no children are truly bad so he always saves the bad victims.
I know I'm making it sound like Michi is a better person that Gojo, but like, Michi hung around with Geto and he was fine with Geto murdering people and only drew the line at murdering children. Gojo sacrifices the few to save the many. Michi can only save a few people, and isn't powerful enough to stop the deaths of many people.
Michi also doesn't really care. If a child dies right in front of him he'll care. If a hundred people die, as long as they're not children he wouldn't really care.
So you could really just have a character motivated by only the small things in life. "I want sushi for dinner" is valid. Miwa and Kusakabe both don't have any grander motivations or notions of being a sorcerer it's just a shitty job for both of them. I think your character could be like a person who's like "Well, I can't kill myself because I want to see a new episode of the anime next week." That's as valid a motivation to live as anyone else.
Of course you have to come up with curse technique after that, and remember that curse technique should be a metaphor for personality. Michikatsu's curse technique is mind controlling people and turning corpses into puppets, because Michi has had to learn to become a manipulative person in order to survive. Gojo's technique makes it impossible for anyone to touch him because he believes he's truly above everyone to the point of not being able to interact with the world or being understood by other people.
Character design wise I also wanted Michikatsu to compare and contrast with Gojo. Gojo is albino and pale as possible, Michikatsu is brown skinned, has brown hair, but otherwise similiar face shape and hair to Gojo. They're both unnaturally tall and thin. Gojo is someone who is the ideal of jujutsu Society and fits the mold perfectly, whereas Michi is someone who'd be discriminated against because he's biracial. He's immediately identifiable as different.
I'd also say that I made Michi openly queer, because Gojo is queer too but it's relegated to subtext in the story. Gojo has the most queer relationship with Geto ever but they never say it out loud. Michi is just, he's bigender. He is a woman. He uses He / She pronouns interchangably. He'll show up in suits and dresses. He'll be dressed like a man and be like "Damn, I am a gorgeous woman." He only sleeps with men, but it's okay, if you're a straight man you can still be straight and sleep with him because he's a woman. He will adopt you and be your mommy if you want him too.
When it comes to making a character, what's most important of all is making all the details of that character reinforce that central idea, or at least characterize them further. That's the best advice I can give you.

Tenmyouji 1, 2, 3, and 30?
1. Canon I outright reject
I know the vlr timeline is supposed to be all sad and tragic but I simply refuse to believe that Junpei never kept in touch with the 999 gang like I get WHY it’s happening, cuz I think things would’ve turned out significantly better for him if he kept in touch, but still. They’re his friends his little pals they are so funny and cool they need to get ice cream together :(
2. A canon or headcanon hill I will die on
I choose to believe that if they ever get the good timeline where everything turns out okay quark will just simply appear for Tenmyouji to have and care for. Even if he appears like 40 years early akdjsk it’s just important to me that my man has his funny little baby boy with him
3. Obscure headcanon
He may be old and he may not take very good care of himself but fuck it my man can still do sick tricks on the trampoline
30. Sleeping Habits
It’s emo nonsense he doesn’t sleep well at all he stays awake for as long as possible until he passes out somewhere. He realizes eventually that maybe he should try to avoid passing out all over the place cuz it starts to worry Quark, but it’s kinda really difficult since he’s been doing this for decades. Then one night he’s trying to get Quark to sleep and starts telling a story (probably something god awful knowing Tenmyouji. It’s gotta be like classic kid’s stories that he can’t remember for shit, or he tells something from his life thats just kinda depressing lol) and in classic Old Man style, he falls asleep halfway through. He wakes up in the middle of the night to find Quark snuggled up with him and he’s like “oh god im trapped i cant move what do I do” but he fucking loves it and is overwhelmed by these new feelings of love and cuteness it’s great
#ask#zero escape#vlr spoilers#junpei tenmyouji#yeah im tagging this i gotta let myself be HEARD when talking about my man#i love him so much hes such a cranky loser who desperately just needs a hug

So as far as beach episodes go: P4G > P3P > P5R
this one was a snoozefest, so let's touch on the important bits that stand out and then talk about Beige Boy and Solid Snake.
One, I have fully turned against Ryuji on the basis of his frequent and repeated disregard for Morgana as a part of the team and frankly as a full person. I am getting really teed the fuck off because for the last five hours or so of gametime, I have been watching Mona get more and more anxious about his place and about whether anyone on the team cares about him and his journey to the heart of Mementos
and at every fucking opportunity, Ryuji basically reinforces to Morgana yeah, you're not really one of the guys, you're not really part of the team, you're the mascot.
If I had agency in the world of this game, I would take Ryuji aside for a Fucking Discussion about this, because the fuse is lit and I am certain we are headed for a rift between Morgana and the team,a nd you know what? I'm on Morgana's side. He should be pissed, he should be hurt, because I'm hurt on his behalf just watching this unfold.
Fucking Ryuji, you are the bottom barrel of the Token Best Friends. Yosuke would never do me like this*. And if Junpei were here, he'd be Morgana's BFF, are you kidding.
(* in fact yosuke did the Literal Opposite and adopted the 'mascot character' lmao fuck you ryuji)
Yusuke is the fucking load-bearing column holding this game up, i swear to god. I have never understood the Moronsexual joke until right now. I imagine Reverie is like "I have to marry him, he'd be fucking hopeless without me???? it's just the right thing to DO"
Alas, Atlus hates me.
Futaba trying to grab the lobsters while Yusuke holds them out of her reach is the best rigging and animation this game has given us thus far.
Futaba picks her name, Oracle. And she is explicitly here to learn more about her mother's research, less to save people. Which is respectable and she's very up front about it.
THAT'S THE BEACH TRIP. like this one just was..... ugh. it had the weird queerphobic stuff again and it pulled the "the boys try to pull girls and fail" gag again but this time with ZERO charm at all. I remember that scene in P4G with Kanji, Yosuke, and Reverie was one of my favorites because it was genuinely really funny. This had nothing.
SIGH. WHATEVER. LET'S TALK ABOUT MORE INTERESTING STUFF.
blah blah blah evil evil evil blah blah blah
i have at this point accepted that Persona just sucks at foreshadowing the Big Bad of their games and P3 was a fluke. interested to see how P2 does when I eventually play it.
oh shit this game caught some of the Sony Hot Sad Dads disease, huh? Iwai has a dweeby looking son named Kaoru and he's ex-yakuza.
Do I like Iwai or do i just miss MGS2 Solid Snake? Who could say.
Also his shop theme tune fucks severely, it sounds like SMT4.
Anyway, after that we're having very domestic funtime at the cafe when
oh shit Beige Alert
Futaba immediately hides behind Reverie because she got Vibe Radar. Vibedar, if you will.
I feel like when Akechi enters your vicinity, your phone should get one of those emergency PSAs. Like when a tornado touches down in your county.
Okay so. /points. Eyes closed.
/points.
The fuck is happening here. Like, bruh, you showed up and immediately mentioned the lady who threatened Sojiro's custody of his daughter, and now you are looking like a wounded puppy because it turned the atmosphere frosty.
You did that, homeboy, that was you. I know you are astute enough to know that.
He sadly drinks his coffee and reveals his backstory: he was raised by a single mom who died soon after, then got stuck in the foster care system for a while.
THAT FAKEASS SMILE AGAIN. See, this is why I know he stirred up the hostile energy on his arrival on purpose, he is extremely good at tone and social cues, enough so that he can use or not use them to his advantage.
I would tell Reverie to install a deadbolt on his door but he doesn't have a door lmao this is going to be great
I keep saying this but: Bryan Fuller vibes. My god, Bryan Fuller vibes.
Futaba realizes she missed the fireworks festival so she runs out to get some small fireworks, and Morgana goes with her to make sure she's okay.
Morgana is the fucking best. He really gives a shit and puts himself out there for people and I just want him to be appreciated dammit!
This is Reverie's family now, yep. See that gurl? She is his sister. See that old man? That's his dad. Yep!
Also Sojiro doesn't even know Morgana is a person and treats him better than Ryuji.
yeah this is me going full kill bill sirens on Ryuji, sorry. i will slam dunk him into a fucking dumpster, i'm so angry with him for his MANY MANY fuck ups and, specifically, how he doesn't seem to learn or grow from any of them.
I think that's my beef with him. Like, P3P, Junpei did multiple big fuck ups, but he both apologized explicitly for them and also learned from them and became a better person for it. He was my ultimate ride or die. I romanced Akihiko but my true love was my broship with Junpei.
Yosuke also fucked up a lot and even went full Joker Mode once, but he also experienced one of the longest arcs of character growth in the game. I remember when I started to like him after being tepid on him for the first third of the game and how annoyed I was that he was growing as a person!!!! But he wound up being a fave.
I need Ryuji to get his shit together and start growing tf up bc I am real sick of his self-important bullshit and how he steps on Morgana's feelings. I am hoping whatever the upcoming blow-up with Morgana is leads him to wake tf up, but also I'm not holding my breath.
At least I have Ann and Yusuke.

Yesterday on P3R: jumping to conclusions, the time-honored tradition of taking my pet to the movies, questionable decisions, and more Tartarus!
So when you take Koromaru on walks, you can run into your other social links and it’ll give you points. Which is good because my daytime social links are suffering. I’ve already figured out a rough idea of how I’m gonna have to play them the second time around.
...not yet I’m not, but Koromaru’s definitely a good start.
Akihiko goes to meet up with Shinji, who still doesn’t want to rejoin SEES after “what happened two years ago”. Which is apparently different from what happened to Miki, who they mentioned before. Shinji refers to seeing someone die, and Ken, who is eavesdropping, has a major reaction to hearing that.
He apparently comes to the conclusion that Shinji, who he didn’t know before now, is related to his mother’s death two years ago. Which seems… like kind of a leap? Obviously I haven’t gotten the full picture (even though I know what happened to Ken’s mom), but right now I’m kind of thinking that the movie handled this particular character bit better?
We’ll see, I guess. Meanwhile, thanks to Koromaru, I finally managed to max a social link! August is WAY too late to be only on my first one. X’’’’’D But I went into this blind, so I’m not surprised.
The film festival has been going on for like… two weeks now? I dunno. I keep ignoring people inviting me to the movies to try to get my social links up. Which. Honestly I probably should have been going to the movies, since my academics are STILL at a 4. I’m not even gonna be able to start Mitsuru’s link this round at this rate.
But I did go see a superhero movie with Junpei, and a ninja movie with Aigis. And I tried to take Koromaru to the movies, but…
Let him watch the movie, you monsters!!
After that failure, it’s back to Tartarus, because some other idjit has wandered in. And another cat.
Honestly, I’m willing to buy the cats, but:
1. How are these people wandering into Tartarus in the first place? Why are they at the school at night?
2. HOW DO THEY GET SO HIGH? This person was on like floor 102. HOW did you get up there without getting munched??? Even if I took out the gatekeepers there’s still other shadows everywhere???
Whatever. X’’’D Rescue mission successful, so back to social linking and puttering around the dorm.
Ikutsuki calls us all to a very important meeting to announce that Ken is joining SEES as our newest member!
Sir, that’s great and all, but that is a literal child. He is in elementary school. Mitsuru and Akihiko are uneasy (for two different reasons), and I can’t really blame them! Sure, Ken asked to join, but it’s Ikutsuki’s job as the responsible adult here to tell him that NO, he is not ALLOWED to go into the nightmare tower to fight deadly monsters!
Honestly, how did you even get a SEES uniform made for him so fast, Ikutsuki?
Junpei is spending his days hanging out and still trying to talk to the pretty girl at the station. He asks to see her drawing when it’s finished, even though she’s still being very aloof.
I think he’s being very nice, actually. She thinks he’s weird. XD
I check in with Maiko, who has had a long talk with her parents. They finally explained why they’re getting a divorce, and she’s sad about it, but she understands. If they had just explained from the start instead of getting mad and hitting her, we might have avoided a lot of shit.
She does mention, though, that she has to pick which of them to live with. I don’t like either of them, but at least her mom didn’t hit her??? I told her it was her choice, though, and she was good with that until she realized that her mom might be moving far away. Then she wouldn’t get to play with me anymore.
I want this kid to be happy so bad.
Somehow yet another idiot has wandered into Tartarus, and there’s only a few days left til the full moon, so I guess I’m going to get them. As soon as I went in, Ken asked to be in the main team, and like… Kid, I know you’ve got a spear taller than you are, but do you have any training at all???
He’s a bless-user, though, so… helpful.
Idiot retrieved, time to go home and--
I have been asleep for five minutes, Pharos. Please. I know the moon will be full in a week. It’s okay.
Junpei actually manages to introduce himself to the pretty girl, only to realize that her hand is bleeding. He promptly freaks out and tries to help her.
This completely confuses her. She literally calls him weird for being worried about her. But as she’s leaving, she tells him her name is Chidori, and that she’ll be done with her drawing soon if he wants to come back and see it.
There’s one free day left before going back to school, so I head to the mall to pick up some new armor on sale, as well as browse the stuff at the antique shop.
(I have forgotten what that lady wants for the aojiru quest so I’m gonna have to look that up because ughhhhhhh)
It’s interesting that the antique shop weapons focus more on the effect than straight power. But at some point, straight power is gonna outclass them. I think that--
...you know what, let’s just head out before I laugh the shop down.
None of my summer social links are ready to rank up, so rather than spending time with any of them, I’m gonna take my last free day and try out working at the blue store. For some reason I thought this was a spa, but it actually appears to be some kind of accessory/crystal healing shop.
No velvet in here, but it does offer you the ability to recall forgotten skills for your personas, so I guess the blue is still appropriate. And working here ups my charm and academics! Plus, I have the Temperance bonus, so I have to level up my academics now?
Right?
…right?
……Minato pls you just gotta cram a few more braincells in there I’m begging you. X’D We’re literally going back to school tomorrow, and summer school made you NO smarter than when we left. God. Why this. XDDDDD
#Li plays P3Re#Minato's terrible horrible no-good academics stat#(It's not actually that bad but ughhhhhhh)

Can I ask your top 5 favorite moments each from Jujutsu Kaisen and One Piece? And your top 5 (or top 3) favorite characters from each series?
Ooooh this is going to be difficult for me but I am very happy to! I think I gush about the characters I like a lot on my blog already ajljfljgf so I'll just list the characters, but I'll go more in depth on my top moments for both series. Uhhh major spoilers for both series under the cut.
For JJK, my top five characters are Yuuji, Kenjaku, Yuki, Geto, and Choso (and for a top ten, I would include Gojo, Nobara, Maki, Higuruma, and Mahito).
Ok for JJK, I thought this was gonna be easier but there are really a lot of moments I love, so some honorable mentions: Junpei's death, Yuuji and Nobara vs. Cursed Wombs, Gojo sealed in the prison realm, Yuuji vs. Choso, Nanami's Death, Yuuji vs. Higuruma, Sukuna taking over Megumi (yeah I considered all of these for the list lmao)
Premature Death (Ch. 76-78)
I certainly enjoyed JJK before this point, but Geto's character arc in Hidden Inventory is where I went "Oh, this is something special." In JJK 0, I was definitely intrigued by him and his relationship to Gojo, but without context, he comes off a little corny with how over the top evil he seems. And then we see him in Hidden Inventory, and he's just this...normal and polite kid? He wants to protect non-sorcerers? But then Riko dies. And the jujutsu system fails him, and his fall from grace is so tragic but also realistic to his character. We see him display this black and white thinking from the very beginning, "Jujutsu sorcerers HAVE to protect the weak non-sorcerers" flipped to "We need to protect jujutsu sorcerers from the non-sorcerers." Geto is a victim, but he doesn't identify the cause correctly. I think he's such a tragic character and really reinforces the themes of JJK so wonderfully, the system failed him (and really every young sorcerer), there was no support, and it really gives weight to Gojo's character and mission to become a teacher and raise strong sorcerers that can support each other.
2. Yuuji and Todo vs. Mahito (Ch. 127-132)
This is still probably the best fight in the series and it's a really good example of how fights can push forward the characters and themes in a story. JJK loves it's parallels, and one of my favorite parallels is Geto and Yuuji, both looking down at their dead friend and just, breaking from it. Yuuji's resolve just crumbling after seeing Nobara die is so heartbreaking, he isn't able to beat Choso, or suppress Sukuna from wreaking havoc, or save Nanami or Nobara. And it presents the same question that Geto faced with failing to save Riko or defeat Toji. Why is Yuuji a sorcerer? I think that Todo coming into this fight in a support role was a really good choice, where he reminds Yuuji that he still has things and people to fight for, what has he been entrusted with? And Mahito really proves himself to be the best villain in the series here, he's such a good foil to Yuuji and the way that they push each other's character developments is unlike anything I've seen. SO many good and important moments from this fight, and ending with Yuuji's "I'm you" speech? Maybe the best moment in the whole series.
3. Maki vs. The Zenin Clan (Ch. 148-151)
I'll always stand by the opinion that Mai's death is the best in the entire series and it's not even close. Maki and Mai's story is just so tragic, the way that they grew apart, but then reconciled but only at the end? I think their story is a really good way in how people react differently to oppressive systems, where Maki wants to break free from it and prove that she is strong, while Mai is "happy enough" to live under that system as long as she can have her sister by her side. She doesn't want to face the backlash that standing up for herself will cause. And for their family to turn on them and be willing to kill them in order to uphold the systems of power they have in place? Genuinely evil shit but it's realistic in how they treat Toji, Maki, and Mai, they are all victims of this family. Mai giving her blessing to Maki to "destroy everything" is another contender for top moment in this series, and Maki only being able to gain her full power by losing her sister, the one person she wanted to protect, is so cruel. Maki's character arc is truly one of the best in the series.
4. Yuki and Choso vs. Kenjaku
So this is the entry I definitely have the most mixed feelings on, I don't love everything about this fight (...namely...how it ended..) but I love A LOT about it so it's still on the list. Every interaction between these characters is endlessly interesting to watch, and I could write an essay on this fight. Yuki and Kenjaku as foils to each other, wanting to achieve the same goal of optimizing cursed energy but in completely different ways. Choso and Kenjaku's fucked up relationship where Kenjaku has been so cruel to, and Choso standing up to Kenjaku to fight for his brothers and starting his new life as a human instead of a curse. Yuki and Choso having to reckon with their humanity and their inhuman nature (star plasma vessel and cursed womb), every dynamic is just so amazing. And that's not to even mention Tengen's dynamic with both Yuki and Kenjaku. So many good character moments throughout this fight and I'm so invested in all four of them.
5. Takaba vs. Kenjaku (Ch. 239-243)
Sooo the Gojo vs. Sukuna fight was good fun and all, but undeniably I was getting pretty bored of it by the end. It's an alright fight but I think it was stretched out in order to line up Chapter 236 with Gojo being sealed in the prison realm in the anime. I needed something new, and oh man, Takaba vs. Kenjaku was completely unexpected but it blew me out of the water. This is genuinely one of if not the most unique shonen fights I have ever read, and Gege just really seemed to be in his element writing this. Not only is this one of the funniest parts of the entire series, but it does a lot of favors for both Takaba and Kenjaku as characters. JJK is big on duos, and it truly feels like they found their other half in this fight and push each other in new ways. Was the perfect breather before jumping back to Sukuna, and while I'm also not a huge fan of how it ended, there's too much I like about it to leave it off the list.
Ok, now for the hard part with One Piece lmao. For characters, I'm splitting it into a strawhats and non-strawhats list because I think it would be actually impossible otherwise ajfssdklj. For strawhats, my top five are Zoro, Robin, Sanji, Luffy, and Brook. For non-strawhats, it's Corazon, Law, Pudding, Crocodile, and Vivi.
Honorable Mentions: Shank's saving Luffy/strawhat passoff, Zoro vs. Mihawk, Nami's "Help Me", Luffy climbing up Drum Island with Nami and Sanji, Alabasta goodbye, Ringing the Golden Bell in Skypeia, Luffy vs. Usopp, CP9 Reveal, Sanji and Sogeking on the Water Train, Franky backstory, Sogeking shooting down the world gov. flag, Robin's "I want to live", Going Merry funeral, Brook's backstory, Luffy punches the celestial dragon, Boa Hancock's backstory, Ace's death, Luffy "I still have my friends", Fisher Tiger backstory, Kyro's backstory, "Raizo is safe", Brook vs. Big Mom, Pedro's death, Luffy vs. Katakuri, Yasuie's death, Hiyori standing up to Orochi, Oden/Roger backstory, Kanjuro reveal, Sanji asking Robin to save him from Black Maria, Robin vs. Black Maria, Sanji vs. Queen, Gear 5, Kuma and Bonney backstory (this is truly an evil task you've given me I love all of these moments and so many more lmao).
Robin's backstory (Enies Lobby)
If Water 7 and Enies Lobby counted as a "moment" I would, but unfortunately those are two full arcs lmao so I decided to choose just one aspect to include here. What can I even say that hasn't been said. Robin's backstory just perfectly explains where she comes from, her strengths and her flaws, and makes her character journey and development so special. No wonder she's had a hard time accepting the strawhats help, her entire life she's been an outcast and even branded as a demon just for the knowledge she carries. Her goodbye to her mother and to Saul are heartbreaking, and to see how she spends 20 years running away and not trusting anyone? It makes it so special when the strawhats tell her "You deserve to live, we won't abandon you, we are your friends no matter what and we will help you." Such a good backstory that not only cements Robin as one of the best characters in the series, but is so important from a world building and thematic perspective for the series as a whole.
2. Zoro's "Nothing Happened" (Thriller Bark)
This moment really cemented Zoro as one of my favorite characters, and is just a moment that has so many layers you can explore (you should check out melonteees recent video "Reframing Nothing Happened" she puts my feelings better than I probably can here lmao). I ultimately find this scene really tragic and scary, but wow does it just highlight Zoro's character development and how much he loves and respects Luffy and the rest of the crew. At the beginning of the series, this is a character who tells Luffy that if he gets in the way of his dream, he'll kill him. We see right before this that Zoro survives a near death experience and is really glad to still be alive, this isn't someone who wants to die. Yet when Kuma comes around, and he realizes he's outmatched, he starts bargaining with Kuma to save Luffy's life. He's not even giving up his dream here, telling Kuma you'll have the head of someone who would have been the best swordsman in the world someday. Him taking out Sanji and protecting him as well, just in this almost quiet anger when Sanji says "you'll have to find a new cook", it's such a good moment as well. Him accepting the pain bubble, it almost killing him, and him saying "nothing happened" because he doesn't want to upset Luffy with the sacrifice? Gahhh I could talk about this moment forever, and it's such a turning point for both Zoro and all of the strawhats I think.
3. Kuma separates the Strawhats (Sabaody Archipelago)
Contender for one of the most evil things Oda has ever done. This arc is full of so many amazing moments, and it just builds up to this terrifying climax where it feels like the strawhats are just getting hunted down, and each strawhat disappearing one by one just made my jaw drop, I stopped watching One Piece for like five days after this lmao. Luffy's desperation to help his crew and breaking down after, Zoro having this trauma response to Kuma, Sanji noticing and trying to protect Zoro, Brook trying to divert Kuma away, the bubbles popping one by one as each strawhat is sent away? Jesus Christ, I was a mess. And the decision to send away Zoro first, the protector and really just the rock of the crew that everyone can rely on, and Robin last, after going through SO much to try and protect her and to reassure her that she's safe with them? Wow. This moment and the Nothing Happened scene just got even more depth with Kuma's backstory, it's just seared into my brain.
4. Law's backstory (Dressrosa)
Anon I want you to know just looking at this picture and thinking about Law's backstory INSTANTLY made me tear up lmao, nothing has affected me quite like this in One Piece. Corazon's story and his personality and his just, absolute and unconditional love for Law made me fall in love with this character. He's been through SO much and instead of turning out like his brother because of it, he just becomes this very kind and caring person that wants to protect people from the ruin that Doflamingo brings. And just how Law is this very angry and hurt kid that gets taken in by Doflamingo because he sees Law's anger and is reminded of himself, and Corazon just is able to divert him from taking this path by just genuinely caring for Law, trying to find ANY doctor that will treat Law's illness and then being willing to steal the Op Op fruit in order to save his life? And just...at the end trying to not let Law that he got hurt, hiding Law away and telling him he loves him before facing Doffy, him CLINGING onto life in order to keep the silencing on Law so that he can cry and grieve for Law as he runs away? When I tell you I was SOBBING when Corazon died that's not an exaggeration. Just the pure unconditional love and the found family between them is so beautiful, and the way Law dedicates his entire life to Corazon and carries on his legacy? It just gives me chills.
5. Sanji in Whole Cake Island (...Whole Cake Island)
Ummm I'm going to cheat here because I'm including Sanji's entire character arc in this entry, but it's impossible to choose just one moment from it. From his backstory, to Sanji vs. Luffy, to finding out about Pudding's betrayal, to him returning to Luffy, to him saving the day with making a cake, everything about Sanji in this arc is such perfection. There are so many layers to this character and similar to Robin, seeing his second backstory really answers a lot of questions about him and where so many of his strengths and his flaws come from, and how Luffy is able to make him realize "We are your family, no matter what we will help you and you matter so much to us." I think the themes in Whole Cake Island about family are so powerful, and exploring them through Sanji was such a brilliant move that really did his character lot of favors, and made him one of the most interesting and dynamic strawhats.
This was a lot of fun for me anon so thank you so much for asking!! I don't know if you were expecting like, and entire essay on jjk and one piece but I'm always happy to provide alkfjslj
#the way i rewrote the entire jjk section after it got deleted 😭😭😭#i had a mission though and i wasnt going to leave it be lmao#one piece#jjk#asks

hey why did you name some of the characters the way u did (gimme that IANVS, REDR, Knockx2 It's Nixilei,--GIMME GIMME GIMME ANYONE (PEOPLE) YOU CAN MANAGE GIMME)
I DIDN'T MEAN ME U BITCH
No but lmao I'll answer thank u for asking bestie <3
IANVS
Sebastian "Seebs" Stein: My very first thought was that "Seebs would be a funny nickname for a guy named Sebastian." Originally Seebs' full name was Sebastian Stan, but uh.... the reason that sounded so good to me was because that's the name of a real actor LMAO. His last name changed to Stein because it sounds science-y.
Annette I. Forget: HMMMM this was a case of just saying nice sounds off the top of my head. Just has a nice flow and rhyme to it!
The Overseer: The Overseer was originally named just Gray (see below). Later I wanted him to have a title that sounded very managerial because he's in charge of the adventuring group, so I looked it up in the thesaurus and decided on Overseer. It ended up being a nice little surprise to find out that the word "oversight" is a contranym, otherwise known as a Janus word :3
(Bonus) Gray Alegra: I wanted to think of a name that doubled as a color between black and white, so I came up with Gray, Ash, and Silver as options and settled on Gray. It was important he was "gray" because he's supposed to be the guy in between the gods and humans. He only gained an association with the god Mercury at a later point. In hindsight, it probably would have been funny to name him Silver instead, to have that association with quicksilver/mercury. As for Alegra, I just thought it sounded nice next to his first name, but I do like that it's the Spanish word for "glad," essentially making his name mean "sad happy."
Ivan Vanderville: Another case of just coming up with nice sounds. Originally his last name was Vendorville tho, because he's a vendor.
Kaminari: In high school I drew a random picture of a girl and my friend saw it and named her Kaminari. I fleshed her out and kept the name all this time.
Quark: Seebs' design was based on Junpei Tenmyouji of Zero Escape fame. Quark is named after the character of the same name in Virtue's Last Reward, a kid that Junpei took care of. I thought it sounded appropriately cute/silly/science-y that Seebs would want to name his cat like that lol
The Dark Lord Nefarious aka Neffy: I wanted to have a word that just sounded very evil but still had a nice sounding flow to it, like the Wicked Witch of the West or Maleficent. The thesaurus came to my rescue again and I decided on Nefarious. One of my friends ended up just casually calling them Neffy, so I thought that could stick as their nickname.
Juicifer: I think this started out with my sister and I joking about making a character called Juicy Wizard? And then that somehow turned to joking about the name Juicifer. The name came first, and then I later decided they would be the Hellhound that represented Heresy, the 6th circle of Hell where Lucifer is.
Daphodel Morali: This guy... has gone through so many name changes. Originally he was a girl named Medea Morali, and then I kept going through my options until I decided on Daphodel and kept the last name. He's named after asphodel and daffodils, two associated flowers where one represents death and the afterlife (as in the Fields of Asphodel), and the other represents rebirth and new beginnings. As he's the Hellhound of Limbo, combining them into one name gives the feeling of being between life and death. As for Morali, it sounds like "morals," and he's a virtuous guy, on account of Limbo being where the virtuous pagans end up.
All of Nefarious' Hellhounds have similar naming schemes in this manner, where they relate to the circle of Hell they're based on, with the exception of the Hellhound of Treachery.
REDR
Klaus aka Kusarigama aka Kama: When I was in my Osomatsu-san RP phase, we would give our Matsu muses nicknames, usually in Japanese, that differentiated them. Klaus originally started as Kusarigama, which is a ball-and-sickle weapon (his weapon of choice), but his name could be shortened to Kama, which was just a sickle. Him and his brother being named after weapons is something I decided to roll with, making their story something like "we were created only to be tools and destroy." In one AU I changed his name to Klaus, and recently I realized that fits him pretty well. The in-universe explanation is that he was originally named Kama, but after making friends with a human, she gave him and his brother new names.
Ridley aka Ryoutoutsukai aka Ryoutou: Ryoutoutsukai was the starting point for him, as the word means someone who dual-wields swords, I think? (And also it could mean bisexual) It was shortened to Ryoutou, which I think has an almost similar meaning. Same with Klaus, in one AU I gave him the name Ridley and decided to go back to that.
Sparky, Snippy, and Sunny: These three get lumped together because they had a similar process. Like Klaus and Ridley, they were Matsu muses who needed nicknames to differentiate them, but these were the OGs. One of my friends liked to talk about the different Karamatsus interacting, so they gave my Kara the nickname Sparky. I wanted to give the other two similar names, and I came up with Sunny pretty easily. For Snippy, I asked my friends for help but I just ended up choosing something I came up with and I think that probably made them exasperated with me LMAO
Knock, Knock, It's Nixilei
Nixilei: UGH their name is so cool but the explanation is kind of lame. I was playing Merge Magic and the game gives random names to your creatures. I had a fairy named Nixilei and I just wanted to use that because I thought it sounded like a cool vampire name.
Ephraim Santos Caballo: I wanted to give him a Spanish name that had origins in the Bible, so WHAT BETTER WAY to think of something like that than to name him after a guy I didn't even know in my conservative Christian high school. For his last names I looked up Spanish last names and just kept track of what sounded cool or heroic... In the end I decided on what I THINK translates to "holy knight" or holy horse as my mom tells me and I'm just really hoping this doesn't look super cringe to native Spanish speakers. But if it does look cringe, then I did it on purpose, because Ephraim is fucking cringe.
Buddy: I knew for sure I wanted a werewolf character, so... I looked up names that you would give to a dog LMAO. Recently my sister found out that Buddy was just a nickname and gave him the full name "Hershel Reese" because. She was eating chocolate at the time.
Extra
Rufus Dufresne: When I was a kid. Like. 5th grade-ish. I made these comics of a stickman named "Rufus the Doofus." Kept the name Rufus, and I wanted a last name that still sounded like the word doofus. In Red vs. Blue there's a character named Doc whose real name is Dufresne, so I used that lol

go away Jackie
I just can't figure out why junpei and june are there
Ace I think is related to the dude who bought the Olympic and All-Ice so there's that
Snake and Clover were part of the first experiment
Santa I'm pretty sure is the older brother of one of the past experiments (maybe he was kidnapped too? since it's confirmed that snake - who is clearly older than clover and probably older than seven too? - was a part of the experiment as well so it's not like he would be too old ,,,,,, I'm thinking that maybe the girl who died was his little sister and he failed to protect her? )
seven was the cop investigating the case
lotos is the mother of two of the last experiments
we don't know anything about the ninth man (other than that zero chose him specifically to be the first "warning" for the other participants, so there is probably some kind of personal vendetta involved?)
so what about junpei and june?!
they can't have been part of the experiment since both were together in elementary school (when they would've taken place I think). junpei specifically remembers seeing the missing posters while he was in elementary school (WITH JUNE) so it can't be that
like. the only thing that makes sense to me is that June is somehow in cahoots with zero? like it's kinda suspicious how she just happens to all that stuff about the Titanic and ice-9 and glycerin - she is the one to infodump the most by far despite her having no obvious connections to what is happening. also those fevers are a bit sus? tho coming from someone who gets fevers out of exhaustion irl that's probably a bit hypocritical lol
it's kinda odd because I am pretty sure that she wants them all to succeed. like maybe there are two "masterminds" : ace who wants them to lose vs june who wants everyone to get out?
though that would actually only raise even more questions. ........
maybe I'm making connections where there aren't any but I just find it interesting how one of the combos with snake that could open door 2 is 1236.
and the coffin ending was just. very odd. they still had an hour left. id argue there were good chances santa would've made it out without pulling the gun. and hadn't he been the one to talk about "the most amount of happiness to the most amount of people" when it was about leaving behind ace?
why did he pull the same stunt as number nine? even if he never planned to see any of them ever again (which honestly would be valid) what if they tried to put him in jail for it? June particularly would have reasons for wanting revenge (being forced to leave junpei behind + yk. the whole being taken hostage but) and I'm pretty sure she could convince lotus at least to join her. sure it's improbable, but not impossible, and why risk it? why not use it as a last resort when time was about to run out?
was it truly coincidence that he chose June specifically? at first I thought it was so junpei wouldn't dare argue (at least one person already on his side) but ,,,,,,,
idk. I can't help but remember how sure clover is that her brother isn't dead. and isn't it a funny coincidence that if you add up all the numbers left behind:
5 + 7 + 4 = 16 -> 1 + 6 = 7
and now the important bit: 7 + 2 = 9.
also. he chose the group with ace. tho admittedly my soft spot for him wants to believe that he actually chose lotus cuz he knows she's a mom so idk.
damn this was supposed to be about June and now I've convinced myself that santa is (also?) in cahoots. I just can't figure out the motivation. neither for him nor for June.
or maybe it's June's parents? which would explain why she doesn't know (a bit like lotus who doesn't really know what happened to her kids except in reverse). they could've ensured that she knew about all those tidbits, just in case.cthoufj I don't think that's it because they weren't even mentioned ,,,,,,,
idk

Imagine maneater!reader meeting Junpei, she would scare the hell out of him and Junpei stumbling to say hello while reader thinking "Another one, I must protect" later he has the biggest crush on her and everyone just "you too?!" and welcome him to the fanclub.
No, because you don't understand how much I LOVE THIS. Thank you so much for sending this ask!
Okay, so, out of everyone in Jujutsu High, I feel like maneater!reader is the most protective over Itadori and Junpei. Don't get me wrong, they are protective towards all of their friends, reader is quite literally the definition of "I hate everyone but them" with them being everyone at Jujutsu High lol. But with Itadori and Junpei it's a little different.
Imagine reader is the first one of the second years to meet Itadori, and the only student to be there with him when everyone thought he was still dead, they just barge in when Shoko is about to perform his autopsy but instead find this naked kid sitting on the desk and they go like "Gojo sensei, as always you got some explaining to do..." and so they get assigned to keep an eye on Itadori and follow him along on missions.
This makes maneater!reader also the first one to meet Junpei along with Itadori.
And while Itadori is a sunshine child and literally asks Junpei one question and then he's like good to go, reader is a little more cautious, a little more prying and almost condescending and provocating because fuck, they don't know this kid and experience has taught them not to go trust anyone if they want to keep those important to them safe (and maneater!reader will die before they let something happen to Itadori).
So yeah, Junpei's first impression of reader is prob very negative sksks, he's fucking scared shitless and 100% ready to make a run for it cause who the fuck is this?? But like the moment he gathers enough courage to just get up and s p r i n t, everything changes.
"Oh, one last important question, are you okay?" reader asks in the most genuine and concerned tones, and the complete change of behaviour quite literally gives Junpei a whiplash, so he just stares at them with eyes wide in complete disbelief. And reader chuckles, fucking chuckles at him (yes, they had already decided Junpei was their new child as soon as they saw how uncomfortable he was with his professor, but they needed to carry on the mission too).
So reader just shrugs at him and goes "Well, everyone is rightfully preoccupied with the three guys that died, but well, they're dead-" "that's cold senpai!" "I'm serious Itadori- Just because they had it worse, it doesn't mean that you didn't have it bad too. Even though you said you can see curses, even if maybe you don't know those three guys, but hell, even if you hated them and you thought they got what they deserved-" "SENPAI!" "I'm still talking Itadori- even if you're luckily still here, how are you doing? Are you okay? Oh, and also, do you have any questions? Would you like to come with us to our school-"
And yeah, reader just goes on full parental mode, and that, that is the moment when dear Junpei knew he was done for.
Literally you can see him short-circuit.
It just gets worse when that evening reader and itadori are over for dinner and reader just jokes around with his mother and then offers to wash the dishes and reprimands itadori when he's too loud while Junpei's mom is sleeping.
Also because we love to see OP reader in god-mode, I think they'd be the one to run after itadori as soon as he goes out to find Junpei and they would save him while Itadori was battling Mahito (cause again, the world will burn before reader lets the people they care about get hurt).
And please, for comedic purposes (and because I shed too many tears over Junpei), just imagine reader bringing him to meet all the others during the second day of the Goodwill event like "Don't worry, come, they don't bite. And well, if they do, I bite too." And Junpei shyly trails behind them all decked in the school's uniform. Itadori is just so fucking shocked and gets all teary eyed and hugs the both of them and reader laughs, full blown laughs because they are so happy too.
So yeah, Junpei and Itadori are definitely the ones reader is the most protective over and they will 100% shout at Junpei as soon as he gets the smallest injuries and always asks to be partnered only with him during missions (even though they would usually partner a bit with everyone, both with first years to keep an eye on them and all the second years too cause they make the best team, cue everyone getting lowkey whiney because they can't go on missions with reader).
Also I love it, you're so right, it would legitimately take o n e interaction between Junpei and reader for Maki to witness and go like "shit, not him too" cause admittedly everyone has a more or less platonic crush on maneater!reader, so ofc maki has to phone yuuta about it. "Yuuta, reader did it again" cue shouting from the other end "WHAT DO YOU MEAN-- Again? Last time it was Fushiguro and it's like less than 3 months ago!" "I KNOW" "*sigh* tell the kid that meetings of the fanclub are on Saturdays in Toge's room" "*nods understandingly* Will do".

junpei headcanons ♡︎
characters; junpei joshino
content; headcanons
warnings; none
word count; 850
notes; this was so fun to write, making headcaons for him is so easy because I don't even have to make them up, he's just providing them to me.
Junpei is a theatre kid and has a passion for plays and musicals. He knows a lot about them, also about the stage itself because of his year long experience of work there. He knows all about the lights and everything sound and backstage related like it's the inside of his pocket.
He played theatre in middle school and even though he mostly only played the small roles he was fairly good at it. His teacher saw he was talented and asked if he didn't want to pursue in it and make use of his potential. He would've gotten big roles too, but he never really wanted bigger ones than he had and was happy with smaller ones and working back stage, being responsible for the props. Junpei enjoyed knowing he was a part of it, without having the spotlight. He felt more comfortable backstage in his element, from time to time taking a small role, knowing he participated in something you couldn't see but that was still important in the end.
Junpei is nonbinary
He had a Hamlet and Shakespeare obsession, which is why he knows all the songs and everything about it
He has a coffee addiction, and often buys iced coffee before and after school. It started out with actual pure black Coffee though, and he can somehow drink it without sugar
He's left-handed
He always has his regulars of energies, drinks, or snacks he buys, the same goes for his food orders. This is why the people working there almost always know him and have his order memorized, because he always goes there and buys the same.
He just is like that, but it gives him a feeling of peace.
He wants to become a film director or do anything movie and film related, since it became his passion.
He got a part-time job at a library and saved money to buy a professional film camera, which he holds very dear and that is his most valuable posession
He's taught himself how to use video editing softwares and is able to work with pretty advanced programs
He's a classical nerd. And geek. He likes fantasy books and movies, computers and everything around them, aliens and conspiracy theories and basically everything nerdy you can think of.
He only eats chocolate-chip cornflakes from one specific brand
He never really liked PE at school but never was really bad at it, either. He just didn't really see the point and found the whole setting kind of stupid and uncomfortable
He likes to draw and is pretty good at it.
He was a warrior cats kid. He enjoyed cartoons a lot when he was younger and he still does because they were his childhood.
His YouTube screentime is over the top
Pretty up-to-date with memes and vines and everything like that going on. Because he spends fairly much time on the internet, he knows quite a few things about politics since he always picks up whatever people are talking about.
His most used apps are YouTube, Twitter, Tumblr and some atrology app, as well as the shitty mobile game he's currently addicted to
It pisses him off when people lie.
He loves animals and nature, it's just, peaceful for him. No stupid people around to ruin the quiteness of things. Nature just takes everything as it is.
He's more of a dog person but has a cat, he likes them too but he's always wanted a dog
He likes listening to film soundtrack
Junpei is the type of person to have actual pajamas he changes into rather than just wearing a random t-shirt
He doesn't really own a lot of things. Most things he owns are really important to him or almost a part of him
He isn't wholely into philosophy or poetry or something, but he enjoys different ways and theories to think about the world and question existence
He's an atheist
Most of the time when he dreams it's really weird stuff, most likely influenced by all the stories and science fiction things he consumes, as there's always some kind of catastrophy or cyborgs
One of his favorite things to do is watch movies and pretend he's a critique, he likes taking them apart and judging everything that comes to his eye, which doesn't mean he always gives bad critics though, he's quite fair
He always has some sort of popsicles at home for some reason
His favorite sweets "fruit flavor" is rasberry
He loves dark chocolate and his mom bakes him the same dark chocolate cake for his birthday every year, but he wouldn't want it any other way
His best subjects are History, Biology, Math, Physics and English as well as everything computer related. He is alright at chemistry and Japanese though.
He really likes history, because it all is like a very interesting movie, where the information never stops and there's always something smaller and more details to look into
He has a stuffed animal dog which he's had ever since he was born and it's still in his bed
He was really into dragons when he was younger

Yuji vs Higuruma
There's some really interesting character foiling going on with Yuji and the defense attorney. Especially since Yuji, idealistic, obsessed with saving others, and exorcising curses are unable to convince a former defense attorney who once had the same goal to end the culling game. The question is why an incorruptible ball of pure sunshine is unable to convince him. It's because Yuji isn't actually any of those things. More analysis under the cut.
1. Let's talk about Junpei (Again)
Before I start digging into the connection between Higuruma and Yuji, the chapter itself starts out with a Junpei foil. A character who is weak, and because he is weak and a target of bullies and not strong enough to stand up to them, ends up developing an unsavory and unlikable, mostly apathetic kind of personality.
Rin Amai develops an attitude of compliance and self-preservation in the face of bullying, even to the point of sitting there and watching as bullies pick on someone else knowing very easily that it could be him. It's precisely because it could be him, he becomes an apathetic watcher in order to survive not standing up to the bullies and egging them on instead. For him, the most important thing is to go with the flow and not be seen as a target.
It makes Rin Amai come off as callous at first, until you realized a much more obviously bullied and victimized Junpei almost gave this exact same speech.
I'm indifferent, because I know how bad people are. I can watch you kill people Mahito, because I don't know them, and more importantly I know the first people you killed were people who were killing me, they're bad people, in my books.
Junpei's rather honest declaration is that if there were a button for killing people he doesn't like, he wouldn't hit it, but if there were a button for killing people who didn't like him he wouldn't hesitate. The reason why is because Junpei doesn't want to go out of his way to hrut others, however, he's been such a target of bullying so many times, that he would kill the people who bullied him, just so he wouldn't be targeted anymore. It's the exact same logic as Rin Amai going along with the bullies. I have to do this, so I won't be targeted.
It's nto because people like Junpei or Amai are malicious people, but rather it's because they don't want to be beaten up. They are victims, but also victims who aren't one hundred percent good or pure people because, when they are the ones who may get hurt, they think out of self preservation, Junpei is so in pain from being repeatedly bullied all alone he simply isn't strong enough to worry about other people. His apathy is a defense mechanism against constant victimization.
This is also something Yuji fails to understand when he goes up against Junpei. He doesn't know what Junpei is going through, because Yuji has literally always been stronger than anyone else around him, when he comes across bullies he can just beat them up. Yuji doesn't really understand the feelings of a weak and helpless person like Junpei, so from the start he didn't really see him as a fully fledged human being, he just flipped between seeing him as someone either to fight against or someone to be saved.
When he admits Rin Amai again he doesnt even recognize him, and in the flashback where they met, Yuji isn't even looking at him. After beating up the bullies to stand up for a poor bullied kid, the look in his eyes is just a little bit disturbed. Yuji doesn't really see weak people, he either sees them as people to be saved, he also has relied on his natural strength to help others almost his entire life. Why am I pointing these out? Geto parallels.
2. Let's talk about Geto (AGAIN)
Higuruma and Geto are both characters who start out as empathic people who use their strength, specifically to protect the weak, and they view this as their jobs. Despite existing in corrupt systems, the jujutsu college system which calls for the death of an innocent girlin order to prolong the life of an immortal man, the court system which heavily favors the prosecution giving them more resources, and advantage even if it might result in a completely innocent person may be put to jail or even death.
After failing someone however, they both go off the rails. They were before that point, law abiding citizens who were working with the system the best they can to improve it. However, they reach their breaking point and then try to break completely free from the system. What specifically is their breaking point for both of them however, is a moment where they are helpless to save another person.
Higuruma wonders why they look at him, Geto constantly flashes back to the people who applauded Riko Amanai's death, as he wonders who exactly he is doing all of this for? Putting his body through absolute hell swallowing curses for people who act like the cult that applauded Riko's death mindlessly, or the villagers that put Nanako and Mimiko in a cage out of superstitition.
There's even water symbolism for both of them, Geto thinks of these things in the shower, when Higuruma meets up with Yuji he's sitting in a full bath tub with his clothes on. Almost as if the both of them are still trying to find a way to stay clean.
However, it's not just that. It's the powerless they experience in moments when they are not able to save others. Riko Amanai was shot dead right in front of Geto when he promised he was the strongest. Higuruma followed all the rules, did everything right to prove his court victim innocent, only to have the appeal rule him guilty. Higuruma's client was branded guilty from the very start, Riko Amanai was always going to die, if she wasn't sacrificed to the star plasma vessel then she was marked for death by many assassination contracts, and Geto was powerless to do anything about her, or even avenge her afterwards. Having lived through that moment of powerlessness, they now grab onto power to try to make their ideals come true. Higuruma's first action is to declare a retrial, and he also, isn't joining the culling game because he enjoys killing but because he can now use his power to make a world which he believes should follow the rules.
etoG
Geto and Higuruma even after they both snap, are still idealists. Higuruma wants to get rid of the whole messy affair of trials because he doesn't believe they can be fair anymore. Geto wants to get rid of humans who just produce curses and don't have to bear the responsibility of exorcising them, because it is unfair a mintority has to again and again die very young deaths over and over while the majority is mainly oblivious to curses and how many they are killing. They notice the world is unfair, and want justice, howevver, despite still have a conscience Yuji can't reach him, and why is that?
Because Yuji doesn't have any ideals to speak of. He's just a cog in the system. All he cares about any more is exorcising curses. The reason I went on such a long tangent about Junpei and Amai at the beginning is because we are set up to believe that Yuji is the opposite of characters like these, apathetic people like Junpei and Amai who don't want to be bullied so they just, switch their emotions off. Yuji obviously cares, he's fighting to stop the game and save others. However, Yuji has to some extent become apathetic. A person who is feeling things doesn't refer to themselves as a cog. THe thing is, there are times when Yuji is not an entirely virtuous person, where his words about saving people all sound empty.
When Yuji is faced with Mahito the first time and was powerless to save Junpei, he flips and declares that all he wants to do is kill Mahito. When Yuji fights against Mahito the second time and is nearly broken by the deaths of Nanami and Nobara right in a row, Yuji declares he doesn't care what his role in anything is, he's just a cog in the system, someone who will kill Mahito over and over again. To be a cog is to be apathetic.
The thing is when Yuji is weak and helpless, he acts really similiar to Junpei, both violently lashing out, and also growing more apathetic to the world around him. Yuji is someone who acts almost the opposite of Higuruma's ideal, Higuruma wante dto keep his eyes open, while Yuji is fine keeping his eyes shut and being a cog in the system. Yuji doesn't particularly have ideals anymore, as evidenced by the fact he has a chance to try to convince Higuruma what he's doing is wrong, basically flubs it, says nothing, and then switches to, okay nevermind I am just going to beat you up. It will be fine if I beat you up. Because, this is how it's worked for Yuji his entire life. Yuji has always been strong enough to beat up any bullies, and is rarely the weak one in the situation, so nine times out of ten, he just falls back on punching the bullies in order to save people because that's what worked before.
Higuruma is presented to us as a formerly empathic individual who has now snappe,d and seems to enjoy killing and violence now, especially because it makes him feel like he is in power, and in control when he was formerly helpless. However, putting him up against Yuji begs the question, isn't Yuji like that? Yuji who is only entering the culling game to save people, who has the exact opposite motivation of Higuruma by trying to bring an end to it?
What is Yuji's strategy in order to try to convince Higuruma? He tries words for five seconds and then he's like, it's fine I'll just beat the crap out of him. If I beat him up, it's all fine. Yuji too, is someone who tries to use violence in order to get what he wants from others. Yuji is introduced to us as the opposite of people like Geto and Higuruma, however, he is going through a very similiar arc then both of them at the moment. Despite the fact that Yuji still looks like the same easygoing friendly guy, there are hints of more going on.
He has already been through a moment that broke him, not once but twice, first with Junpei, then with Nanami, completely helpless to save those he should have been able to save over and over again. He went through the same trauma as Geto, and has the same response, to rely on power and strength above everything else. Just keep exorcising curses. Don't think about what you have to do, just keep exorcising curses. Because, that worked out so well for Geto.
Now as a response, Yuji who used to talk to people and open up like he did in that one moment with Junpei, now relies on strength for everything. His response for everything is to just try to get stronger, because if he were stronger surely things would be different, if he were stronger he wouldn't have let the bad thing happen the first time. Geto confronts Gojo about his strength and how he wanted to use it, because he believes if he had that kind of godlike strength he could make the world a more just place. Higuruma wants to keep the killing game rules in place to feel stronger.
Higuruma and Geto are presented to us as ruthless killers who seem to enjoy killing now, but doesn't Yuji act in a similiar way?
"Have you ever killed someone who ticks you off? It feels better than I expected."
Yuji switched to kill when he was facing Mahito. Not exorcise a curse kill. Of course it's different when it's a curse, but Yuji has never had to face human opponents before this.
Fighting against HIguruma is supposed to make us question what Yuji is doing, because no character in Jujutsu Kaisen is truly evil as Gege has stated before. Everyone has a little bit of the right idea in their way of thinking. Everyone can also be wrong. If Higuruma wants to use his power to either force people to do the right thing, or kill them off, then what exactly is Yuji using his strength for right now? There's nothing persuasive about his words, and Yuji's plan going in was basically, okay, if he doesn't listen I'll just beat him up and force him to do it.
Yuji is such an interesting protagonist because despite his desire to play the hero, he's actually rarely allowed to play the hero in a world as morally gray and myopic as Jujutsu Kaisen. The question is if Yuji is not the hero then who is he?
Just another person probably. However, that's not a bad thing. Yuji's entire arc is about how everyone only sees him as a curse, how right now he's a literal pawn in the villain's scheme. He has no parents because he was born to fill a role, born to be Sukuna's vessel. Won't the ultimate achievement for Yuji's arc be to learn he's not a hero, but rather, a human being with flaws and weaknesses like everyone else, and learn to accept these things and live with them rather. Even if Yuji can't accept them himself, there's still Megumi who accepts him, including everything he did in Shibuya and every flaw. It's something Yuji has right now, that Higuruma and Geto both didn't.
What Yuji needs more than anything right now, is to be human again. Not to be a cog in the machine even though that makes him feel more secure. To be human, and insecure, and open his eyes, and learn to question things. Like that one moment of humanity he showed Junpei where he was able to admit he was wrong, that caused Junpei to back down the fight. THat will always be a better strategy then come on, let's break out the punchies, choo choo it's time for the pain train.

tell me about control baby, grocery, and junpei please pelase pleae please!!!!!!!!!!!
Hell yeah
Control baby- thissss one is just kinda an unorganized list of lore I’m making up about Shinji for a very important chapter and it’s gonna be very fucking uh. Heavy. Very heavy lol. Basically it’s like my own theories on how he awakened to his persona and what was going on during the 2 years on his own. Gets in depth about his relationship with strega cuz that relationship matters so so so much to me and we literally get CRUMBS. And honestly I think that’s just the way to describe this chapter this arc is I’m desperately trying to make a 3 tier cake out of crumbs alsjlal. So yeah just gonna try to expand upon that relationship and how Shinji started taking the suppressants and how his persona behaves and WHY it behaves that way, and like also his crumbling relationship with Akihiko and his struggles with morality and distrust of everything and yeah it’s really heavy cuz he’s struggling very very very bad mentally and also some pretty bad trauma. And this wip is called control baby cuz it’s a jhariah song that makes me ill and Shinji’s big thing is feeling like he’s unable to control his persona and really, himself. Yippee yay I’m gonna be so fucking sad writing this but also it’s literally so important that I write it it’s so important that my vision comes through
Grocery- this one is fun! Very fun! Basically Shinji is put on grocery duty for the dorm after he self appoints himself the cleaning duties and notices that these damn kids don’t even have any fucking vegetables in their fridge HOW ARE THEY EVER GONNA HAVE A BALANCED DIET. And he totally doesn’t care about everyone’s wellbeing or anything definitely not, he’s just doing this because if he doesn’t then who will? And so he’s given a big ass grocery list and Aigis goes with him because they had a Moment where Aigis revealed her talking to dogs ability and basically learned all about how Shinji spoils Koro and is just in general very lame and she’s taken in interest in Shinji and also just wants to experience the grocery store. It’s mostly just Shinji having to explain basic products to Aigis and also he’s very horrified at what these kids ask for (Junpei actually had the audacity to ask for shitty axe body spray) and they’re probably gonna get thrown out cuz Shinji maybe shoplifts just a bit and Aigis maybe starts going in places she shouldn’t be such as the freezer. They make it out alive though and have sweet bonding moments
Junpei- sadly this isn’t about tenmyouji it’s about p3 again. I WISH I had a wip of tenmyouji lol. I don’t really wanna spoil this one much but basically Shinji and Junpei kinda....have a rocky start and clash a bit and Shinji lashes out at Junpei when he accidentally crosses a boundary. They do talk it out, kiiinda, but there’s a lot of unanswered questions and Junpei doesn’t really leave with a good taste in his mouth and Shinji seems to know things he shouldn’t
#ask#thank you 😭#im like desperately trying not to spoil anything but also desperately trying to gush#these are all part of the same overall story#which btw ive been just referring to it as my shinji fic cuz that is what it is but the actual title is gonna be ripple effect#id love to have at least the first chapter out by the end of the month lets hope i can do that 😩#i like need this story to exist its like. kinda keeping me alive ngl#i just need to stop being so insecure and perfectionist about it and let it be already

whbat in the absolute fuck
look at her fucking pose in the gameplay, what is this.
WHY IS THIS SUCH A TROPE? Like how come out of the three Persona games I know enough to speak to, all three of them have Sexy Teacher Who Is Wildly Inappropriate With Students? What the fuck. I'm uncomfortable. How did we get rid of Mister "everyone in this room is a slut destroying our society" and have not by default gone up in the world? goddammit.
I cannot help but assume that's the point. The shadows are getting more and more rowdy in each dungeon, the news of the channel is spreading, like.... that has to be part of the point.
Naoto shows up to let everyone know there is a prime suspect that the cops are trying to apprehend, but in doing so shoves his fucking foot so far in his mouth his stomach is chewing on louis vuitton
fucking GET HIM
like for real, Naoto, dial down the condescending bullshit about 25% bruh
LITERALLY THE BEST CHARACTER. he is just-- look. you are allowed to laugh at me. go ahead. the comparison to Akihiko is very funny to me. Two lightning bruisers, but Akihiko funnels all of his energy into tending to the temple of his body until he's acting like vegetables will personally slit his throat in his sleep, vs Kanji, who has like the same power and energy profile but doesn't have an outlet for it yet so he keeps doing funny outbursts that don't make sense even to him.
Lightning boys!!!! Who is lightning in P5 and are they this good? I hope so.
also look at his facepalm while studying. best boy. Also in his social link, we met a little boy sad about losing his "friend's" rabbit doll, and Kanji went looking for it and now plans to make the boy another one. LOVE.
Maxing out Yosuke's SLink. Buddy, I don't know if punching you will fix you but if you want me to try, by golly.
PICTURED: Two fucking idiots.
OH SNAP THE ULTIMATE PERSONA IS LOCKED TO SLINKS? OH DAMN. I will miss Jiraiya and their awesome scarf. The locomotion of their spin has always brought me joy. But I'm hyped for Ultraman Buzzsaw Hulahooper.
So that was Magician! I.... am still not sold on Yosuke as the Magician honestly? I really liked his arc and the simmering anger and learning to deal with grief and coming to terms. But it's not very Magician-y at all? Eh whatever. Not everyone can be Junpei.
Sometimes, I don't have to look up these answers because I have a specific knowledge set and it includes weird card knowledge.
Rise is really compelling and funny. She's down to earth! She also will just get a translator! She's fun.
C H I E. DON'T JUST TELL PEOPLE THAT!
This game is like.... very good at portraying teenage immaturity. Like, everyone is generally a decent person until they're kind of a little shit about something or other. They're all very likeable but the maturity gap with SEES is really stark, yanno? Everyone in SEES was a traumatized kid who had already been through shit BEFORE they got their gun-shaped Superpower Launchers. the P4 team is just. dumb kids! with powers!
but really chie don't tell people kanji is queer, for fuck's sake girl
LOVERS SOCIAL LINK: GET! I ain't saying shit about how someone doesn't seem like Lovers, I learned my lesson.
However. One thing, another point of comparison from P3P-- I somehow doubt that Rise would do the Lovers thing with someone other than Reverie like Yukari did with Mitsuru. With the exception of Chie and Yukiko, it feels like everyone's most important relationship is with the MC, not with other characters.
I do feel very sad about that. Akihiko and Ken had Shinjiro, Yukari and Mitsuru had each other. Fuuka and Junpei arguably were closest to FeMC, but they weren't islands. Junpei and Akihiko were frequently in their own little scenes, and Fuuka had that with Junpei and Shinjiro as well.
With the P4 team, everyone orbits around the MC. Which isn't bad. It's fine. But it also loses something, you know?
The police still haven't actually gotten ahold of their suspect, and Nanako gets scared and runs over to sit by Reverie. God, that's crushing. Do you ever think about Nanako pre-P4? How much fucking time did she spend alone? God, I hate Dojima.
MEANWHILE, I DON'T KNOW WHY THE GAME KEEPS GIVING ME FLIRTATIOUS OPTIONS WITH ADACHI BUT I AM GOING TO KEEP CHOOSING THEM LIKE THIS IS HATOFUL BOYFRIEND AND I'M HITTING ON SHUU I GUESS? What is this. Why was I able to invite him to dinner????
anyway its FINALLY SUMMER VACATION TIME!
Everyone is making plans to go to the beach! Which leads to a very important question.
Thank you Persona 4 for giving me the best possible options.
Also, Yosuke, I'm gay. It's that simple, homeboy.
...... Kanji, are you.... related to anyone from Iwatodai? Wait no that's impossible, Akihiko is literally an orphan. But still: lightning bruiser boys who want hydrodynamic swimsuits is a Type I guess??????
