JJK X EPIC the Musical Fan Cast

I saw a post about JJK and EPIC the Musical crossover and it’s been circling my head for days now but I raise you that rather than Gojo and Geto it is Itadori and Megumi! 

These would be the roles I had in mind!

Disclaimer: Some people were easier to peg than most and some are purely based off vibes! There will also be characters from further down the manga so if you are an anime only this might be confusing for you!

This is gonna be a long post but I hope y'all read it through!

Anyway let’s start off with the main folks!

Odysseus’ Family

Itadori- Odysseus

I really feel like I don’t need to say more on this one like he is BASICALLY the JJK version of Odysseus

Megumi- Penelope!

He would make such a pretty Penelope! Plus he is the smartest and clever like her! PLUS he basically has suitors in JJK so he is basically the JJK version of Penelope

Yuta- Telemachus! 

HEAR ME OUT!! It works!! Especially with who I have for Athena! But Yuta is such a sweet kid like Telemachus that I think he fits! Plus both of their transitions from meow meows to badasses are very similar! It works! Believe me!

Yuji’s Grandfather -Odysseus’ mom!

I think their deaths both give that whammy effect for our hero! Plus both haunts the protagonist’s thoughts so I think it fits!

The Crew!

Nobara- (this one was tricky!) Polites!

It was a toss up between her or Junpei but I decided on her being Polites because she has a much more closer relationship to Itadori than Junpei and she is a lot more… I guess optimistic? She is a lot more grounding for Itadori than Junpei is like Polites!

With that in mind!

Junpei- Eurylochus!

I couldn’t tell you why but he just seems like him! Very doubtful of things, not willing to trust easy and in a way he did kind of “betray” Itadori, when he started trying to kill people! I also feel like Junpei’s death was a lot more actions=consequence if that makes sense? Like, both Eurylochus and Junpei made choices that ultimately lead to their demise so I feel like they are a good match!

Antagonist! 

Jogo- Cyclops!

They are both very loyal to who they claim as theirs! Jogo’s reaction to Dagon dying and him blowing up Maki, Nanami, and Naobito reminds me of the Cyclops and how he reacted to the sheep. I think these two fit rally well! They also both only have one eye so…yep! It fits!

Mahito- Poseidon! 

Like c’mon! The whooping that Odysseus puts on Poseidon ALONE should remind y’all of the whooping Itadori put on Mahito! It also makes sense because both Poseidon and Mahito are PETTY and would definitely follow, stalk, their victims for YEARS in order to inflict as much psychological damage as possible! 

Hanami- Circe!

It works!! Both have the goal of protecting what is important to them! Hanami, the planet and Circe- her nymphs. Both have similar spells to disarm opponents. Both believe taking out the problem (Hanami-humans, Circe-men) is the best step to protecting the planet/nymphs. It works believe me!

OR

Post-Toji Geto- Circe!

Turning men into Pigs? Calling non-sorcerers monkeys? Both discriminate against the opposite species because they have been burned before. Trying to protect a minority class (Circe-nymphs, Geto- jujutsu sorcerers). Both considered pretty! It works!!

Kenjaku- Scylla!

That long greasy hair? The grotesquery that both scylla/ geto were turned into? The creepy smiles? And like imagine Kenjaku lifting the top part of his head and smiling that wide creepy smile and put that next to scylla growing 6 heads and looking like a monster like y’all yes! I know I’m not explaining it right but I see the vision!

Sukuna- Antinous! 

Hear me out!!!! He would be so good as Antinous! Doesn’t recognize Itadori as the King anymore. He already was SUPER interested in Megumi in JJK, like Antinous wants Penelope. He can definitely lead a group of men. Antinous: wanting to chop Telemachus up, Sukuna: using his cursed technique to chop people up. Like c’mon y’all!!

Mei Mei- Calypso! 

I feel like she would be the only  one that could fit this role. Not really because they are one and the same but because Mei Mei does not involve herself in big fights and she immediately DIPPED the second she could in Shibuya. Literally to an island. And Calypso doesn’t know what is going on in the main story because she is trapped on an island so she really isn’t involved with all the drama. Does that makes sense? I don’t think they are similar but I think where they are placed in their respective stories is similar if that makes sense.

Gods!

I know Calypso and Poseidon are Gods but I see them more as antagonists first! 

These were SOOOO tricky! But I think I paired them up to the best of my abilities! A lot of these are based off of vibes with some logic to them!

Maki- Athena! 

Do I really need to say why? 🎶BADASS IN THE ARENA!!!🎶 And I think Maki’s struggle with empathy sometimes lines up so well with Athena’s! And with Yuta as Telemechaus like PERFECT to me! Yuta has the effect on Maki the way Telemachus does on Athena! Plus the scars Athena gets from fighting Zeus and Maki’s scars from Jogo? Y’ALL!

Inumaki-Aeolus

They are both so playful and cute! Plus they are both very powerful with Inumaki’s cursed speech and Aeolus being able to trap a huge storm! I see it!

Gojo- Hermes!! 

C’mon y’all he would make a great Hermes!! Plus both Gojo and Hermes help out Itadori and Odysseus throughout their canon journey’s respectively! And they both are kind of untouchable forces! I know you see it!

Naobito Zenin- Zeus!! 

Zeus was SO HARD!!! Nobody really fit Zeus to me from JJK so it was so hard to think of character that would fit! But for some reason I kept going back to Naobito Zenin! I think he has that sleaziness that Zeus has and I think for Maki/Athena’s journey, I think it would fit really well!

Yu Haibara- Apollo!

He’s such a sunshine boy! And like Apollo I wouldn’t see hm needing too much convincing because he sees like a chill guy! This one is based off of vibes! 

Nanami- Hephaestus!!

Ok this one is also based off of vibes BUT I think it works! Nanami cares about his comrades and would not be too happy about someone sacrificing them (Why should I give him my support? He sacrificed his own cohorts!) I think him and Hephaestus would vibe and they both have that type of energy that makes them a good pair!

Ok the next two were a toss up! One is just kind of a gag that I am low-key taking seriously and the other one has some thought to it!

The gag one

Todo- Ares! 

Y’all know it works! Y’all KNOW it works!!! Especially because Todo would not tolerate Yuji groveling and not fighting back! Like how Ares was sickened by Odysseus not fighting Scylla!

Takada-chan- Aphrodite! 

It would be so funny to me and considering that Todo imagines what she would say, if he wasn’t feeling letting Itadori go he would just imagine her saying no too! 

OK the not gag one

Kinji Hakari- Ares!

I feel like he matches to me because Hakari is all about seeing the “fire” in someone and seeing Yuji not have a “fire” would ultimately sickening him, similar to Ares and Odysseus. I feel like this is a good match!

Kirara Hoshi- Aphrodite!

This is actually just purely on vibes! 

Yuki- Hera!

Just because both are so playful! And they both kind of don’t provide anything for the narrative 

Other characters

Master Tengen- Tiresias

It works! They are both mysterious! They both don’t do much! I totally see it!

OR

Noritoshi Kamo- Tiresias

I can see this one working too! Maybe because of Kamo's closed eyes and Tiresias being blind! They also have the same vibe to me too!

Law Coffee Headcanon

I know a lot of people headcanon that Law is a coffee addict but for me I have always pictured that coffee doesn’t work for him in a productive way.

Like for me coffee just makes my body vibrate and my hands shake but I still feel exhausted. So I’ve always pictured law having a similar problem and that he drinks coffee only because he likes the taste/texture. Like me lol.

And I always imagined him liking his coffee with things in it. Like not super sweet but not black. Like a healthy medium where there is something in there like half & half with a dash of cinnamon and like one spoonful of sugar. That way it still tastes like coffee.

And to think that Oda wasn’t expecting him to be so popular or was going to make him a villain is baffling because bro is out here being the sweetest guy and the hottest! 😭

The thing I love about Trafalgar Law is that he's actually a pretty wholesome guy. The Strawhats are (justifiably) worried about betrayal when they first ally with him but in the end he never, not for a single minute, even considers betraying them. He immediately caves and does what they want in Punk Hazard. Sure he was using them in Dressrosa so he could keep his own crew safe, but when push came to shove he tried to dissolve the alliance so they could get away, he decided to share Luffy's fate when he was fighting Doflamingo, he saved Zoro from Kaidou and said he'd rather they lose the fight than let them die, he gave Kid the Poneglyph markings because he thought it was fair. Even his powers are specifically designed so he can win fights without having to kill anyone. Beneath his (I'll bet carefully curated) creepy image, he's just a dude who wants people to live

I will say…

I feel like Law is such an op character but because he is not the main character he kind of gets weakened by plot. Like most of the time when he is fighting against someone I am like “why doesn’t he just chop them into tiny pieces?” Or “why doesn’t he just grab their heart and squeeze it?” OR “switch people’s hearts with like a worm’s and stomp the shit out of said worm!”

He could have done that for Kaido, for Big mom, for Teach! And before y’all say “well Kaido’s skin is so hard” or something else, he literally can control ANYTHING that is in his room. He literally chopped a huge battle ship and flipped it upside down and was moving it like it was a game of Tetris!

And like I KNOW why they don’t because again it would make the fight WAY too short and he is not the main character but at the same time idk like show how versatile his power is! Like you show us what he can do in punk hazard and then kind of forgot that he could do those things!

Idk! This isn’t a critique but since I saw him and what he could do I always wonder why he couldn’t just chop them up to pieces and scatter their pieces in the ocean or something!

Anyway does anyone else feel like this? Is anyone still salty about him losing to Blackbeard?? Because I am lol!

I feel like this isn’t talked about enough. Like it was no wonder that he didn’t value his life because he was essentially living for other people his whole life. Tsumiki was the ONLY person (before Yuji of course) who loved him unconditionally and who loved him because he was Megumi, her little brother.

Like sorry to Gojo fans but regardless of how Gojo actually felt about Megumi and wether he saw him as a little brother or not, the way Gojo approached Megumi and talked to him implied that he was only there because he is the ten shadows user. And that he will help but Megumi HAS to be a sorcerer. Megumi was an investment for all intents and purposes so it’s no wonder that the relationship wasn’t depicted as that close.

I know I’m probably not making sense but I just feel for Megumi so much. His life has been one heartbreak after the other and I really understood where he was mentally.

insane, how they essentially left this elementary kid two options: being enslaved by his extended family or being enslaved by a shady institution that sends young people into certain death.

and since megumi was classified as a grade 2 sorcerer upon entering JJT, he’d immediately have to go up against level one curses - all just to make sure him and his sister don’t starve. no wonder he was so bitter and regarded what he did only as a job.

I wanted their relationship to be like Law’s and Corazon’s relationship.

Something that makes me giggle all the time is the fact that my name begins with an LU like Luffy’s and I usually go by Lu so when one piece fanfiction writers write a character like Ace, Sabo or the StrawHat crew referring to Luffy as “Lu,” I feel like they are referring to me and my delulu brain gives me that dopamine and serotonin boost!

Anyway!

Long story short Luffy is me and I am him. We are one ☺️

Ok I am very tired so I am gonna try to make this make sense!

I do see this person’s point but I also don’t fully agree with this. If you read Episode Nagi, you get ALOT of Nagi’s perspective and how he feels about certain things. Especially when it pertains to Reo.

To paint Nagi in a way that he just uses Reo and doesn’t appreciate him at all, even at his worse seems…disingenuous to who we are shown in Episode Nagi.

Nagi cares A LOT about Reo, almost to a disgustingly degree lol. And we get the reason right from the jump. Because Reo was the only one to see any value in him. To be bothered with him. And it’s because of that, that he helps Reo. That he sticks around. Because Reo is his first friend and friends help each other.

The problem is, is that both of them communicate in very different ways. When you have one, who is good with words and can easily manipulate people when he needs something and then the other, who has hardly ever socialize, not even with his own PARENTS, then you have a recipe for severe miscommunication.

Reo did a lot of stuff for Nagi that Nagi didn’t really ask for but never really stopped him either. But it isn’t like Reo is doing it without getting something in return. Folks forget that in the beginning, the relationship was transactional. “Hey you are really good at trapping so you will help me get to the top to prove my parents wrong! In return I will keep you in tip top shape! Whatever you need!” And Nagi was just like “sure” but neither one expected themselves to catch feeling lol lol those silly billies. But to make it seem like Nagi demands this stuff of Reo and never appreciates it, is again disingenuous to his character. Because neithe one saw the relationship like that.

Also the not thanking Reo. I don’t think him not thanking Reo has any correlation to how Reo is as a player. I also think Nagi is very much a “show through actions” type of guy. We all know he is not good with articulation lol but I do believe he shows his care for Reo and his appreciation. It’s just very clumsy and while he thinks he has conveyed his feelings, others don’t see it. For Reo, I feel like his love language is words of affirmation. So again, when you have one person who conveys his love through actions and can’t articulate well, then the other who needs words of affirmation because he is an insecure boy, then AGAIN you have a recipe for miscommunication.

Ultimately for me. Their issue lies in them not really knowing each other. Again in Episode Nagi, we see how differently they view the world. And I do agree that miscommunication is the bigger problem but NEITHER one of them have good communication skills. Both of them say a lot of things in their head that does not translate well at all in person.

Nagi always needed Reo but more importantly Nagi always WANTED Reo. He didn’t come to Reo because he was “stronger.” He came to Reo because Reo is the only one who knows how to properly “utilize” him. He is the only one who could help him achieve his “dream” of beating Isagi. Just how Reo sees Nagi as the only one who can help him achieve his dream.

Anyway I have spent too much time on this but I hope this made a bit of sense!

ReoNagi fans who understand that both parties were equally at fault and equally hold BOTH of them accountable for BOTH of their actions are honestly the best people
