Hellbound (Season 2)

Hellbound (Season 2, 2024, South Korea)

Writer: Yeon Sang Ho & Choi Gyu Seok (based on their own webtoon)

Mini-review:

I feel like I'm one of the few people who loved the first season of Hellbound. It used an original and terrifying concept to showcase a fascinating exploration of themes like religious fanaticism, sectarianism and media manipulation. And this second (and final?) season delivers the goods once again. Yeon Sang Ho continues to be a master director of action scenes, plus the performances he gets from this cast are simply superb. On top of that, the CGI is much better than it was in the first one; I'm glad they made an effort to improve on that. I'm sure many people will stay mad at the show for refusing to give clear answers until the very end, but I think that makes the viewer feel the same chaos as the characters. If this is really the end, I have to say I really enjoyed what this dark fantasy had to offer.

Every year from 2019/2020, I always do award show to award my favorite drama from my watchlist.

Last year Im a bit lazy..this year I started early to prepare the posts as to reward my favorite drama for 2024🎉

This award will be divided into 3 part : Part 1(January2024- June 2024) , Part 2 (July2024-December2024) and lastly part 3 ( Best Couple Award 2024)

So, let's begin🥳

Part 1{January2024-June2024)

THE BEST and still the BEST and GREAT DRAMA award goes to

My Demon

Since it ended on January, so this drama is included in January😍😋

I can't explain how great it is especially the chemistry with the leads..the story ,everything was just perfect and still is

The magic is still there althought I have rewatching many many times even makes me doing and buying things that I could not imagine buy

I even bought the bluray for the first time for this drama as I could not get enough of the drama.

Only who that was chosen to love this drama can understand the sweetness and happiness this drama bring to life.

Let me just say nothing can top this drama on my list even in whole 2023 and 2024.

And dared I say I keep coming back again and again just to feel the greatness.

Best time travel marriage contract drama awards ,goes to

The story of park marriage contract

This also same as my demon ended in January therefore making the list in January 2024 .

Althought a short episode but it was a happy and sad ending both in the drama.

Joseon Tae Ha😭 but it was for the best.

Love it 😍

Best and first sign language drama awards

Tell Me that You Love Me

I literally came across this drama accidentally not knowing anything

Yet I fall in love with the plot of using sign language and is the first kind of drama that I watch throughout my drama journey.

The couple also have great chemistry and the ending make me cry in happiness.

Best confusing ending and relationship status drama ,goes to

Blood Free

The ending was confusing till now as we don't really know what happened.

Is she dead? Or is she alive is the question as the writernim and directornim leave the drama with open ended I guess kinda ending.

The relationship status of course as this is not romantic drama but it feel like it's a romantic drama as the chemistry between the leads are strong😍

Best Superpower and family drama

The atypical family

A drama on superpower family that lose power and one person fixed it

The ending was also nicely done but I hope for more family moment as they have been separated for too long.

Lastly

Best High school chaebol drama awards

Hierarchy

This was a medicore drama but it wins my heart and it was an enjoyable drama plus there's a twist on the ending will probably hinted on season 2.

And I hope she will choose Kang ha in next season👍🏻

Well there's the end of the drama that I watched till the end in January and June 2024 that won my heart and deserve all this awards🎉🥳👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Mini-review:

Oof, what a disappointment. I feel like this wanted to be one of those transgressive teen shows we get in the West, but then it didn't have the guts to go all the way and ended up being like any other kdrama about the rich and the poor. And even then, it's just not good at that either. The writing leaves a lot to be desired, and it gets more boring with every episode. The acting is also all over the place; some of the actors do a solid job, but most of them are mediocre or downright terrible. Tbh, there are two things that save this drama from disaster: firstly, the director adds a lot of style and flair to the proceedings; secondly, sometimes it's fun to see a bunch of super pretty people all together in one place. But still, there are a lot of shows where you can find those things with much better quality. I wouldn't recommend Hierarchy, unless you really love someone in the cast...
