ive recently been playing Detroit become human again just to feel something and it's just so happened to coincide with my obsession with one piece and my brain is going places. zosan places.

so perhaps...DBH zosan au? long post under the cut

Im imagining that Judge is some main engineer at CyberLife and created a line of prototype military androids. he starts off with Reiju, perfects the tech then in one fell swoop creates 1234ji. BUT, as per canon, Sanji is defective. Against all protocol and logic, Sanji has somehow had a caretaker (cooking, cleaning, babysitting) android program installed and it Just. Won't. Delete. It's Sora, Judge's wife and fellow engineer who hates that part of her work is going to be used to harm people rather than help them.

Judge can't fix whatever the hell's wrong with Sanji so he sends him to some local police station, figuring that it's way too expensive (and sort of illegal) to destroy property that's technically not his and the rest of his programming dedicated to stealth, reconnaissance, and data gathering could be put to use. 124ji gets instead shipped to do military work.

What neither Judge nor Sora know is that Sanji deviated, he'd deviated from the beginning. The program won't be deleted from his code because he doesn't let it. He wants to try helping people, He's relieved he's being sent away but really would rather just settle down with some family and at least get to try some of the things he knows how to do now. Cooking at least looks like fun...

At the police station he gets partnered up with Zoro, a gruff young upstart that has put away so many criminals people think he's some sort of demon. Zoro has his own beliefs on androids, doesn't like that despite the fact that they look human, they're cold and unfeeling. He can't shake off the fact that they're just machines after his childhood best friend fell down the stairs in the middle of the night and a glitch in their household androids code made it unable to alert emergency services despite the fact that she fell right in front of it. Nothing quite sparks a hatred for androids like knowing that a normal human would have immediately jumped in to help, no program necessary.

Needless to say he's not the happiest about being saddled with the android, and gets even more pissed off when it tries to tell him how bad his self-care habits are. Sanji doesn't actually care, its only programmed to. He's not human, it's even numbered for fuck's sake.

I imagine they'd have a lot of tension, with Sanji trying his hardest to both take care of the people around him but also not act too far out of what he's supposed to do because he doesn't want others to find out he's deviated. And he really doesn't understand Zoro, who despises any help or attempt to get closer from him but only barely manages to hide a smirk and stifle laughter when Sanji accidentally lets out some snide comment about an annoying coworker. In his mind palace, zen garden area, the person who meets him switches from Sora to Judge, depending on what issues are at the forefront of his task list and he gets along well with Robin, a crime analyst and her husband Franky, who works in the precincts' IT and tech department.

For the other androids obviously Luffy would take Markus' place, wanting to gain legal freedom and rights for androids. He's inspired from the freedom he saw in his previous owner, Shanks, and even got to have his straw hat after Shanks told him to run and chase his dreams. His revolution is backed by other androids he finds along the way. Koby, who wants to have a peaceful revolution and not be shunned by human society, Trafalgar Law, who urges him that humans won't listen to reason and that a bloody battle is inevitable. Usopp, despite being afraid of being deactivated follows Luffy and says that he trusts his judgement and knows that there are understanding humans out there, like his previous owner Kaya. Brook and Chopper join Luffy as well, they were androids who were a model skeleton and an animatronic made to have kids feel at ease at a doctors' office, respectively. The three of them are not water proof models ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Nami, I feel, would take Kara's place. She comes to at a CyberLife store and is taken home by Arlong who uses her for housekeeping. At Arlong's place she finds Vivi, a girlfriend that he's obviously abusing. She deviates the same night that she find him hitting Vivi. They run away together and the less that's said about the state they left Arlong in, the better. They try to take refuge at Crocodile's place but find out that he scraps down androids for parts and sells them. There they find Jinbei, a strong android whose model was originally made for carrying heavy loads at docks and stuff, and escape together. They later find out that Vivi was an android girlfriend that Arlong had bought a while ago.

connie closes her mouth. a small addition to her list of missions to accomplish is made: try to appear "relaxed" to appease lieutenant anderson. a raise in friendship means an easier partner to work with, so connie carefully inspects the lieutenant's posture and does her best to replicate it. being a machine of plastic and metal certainly doesn't make it easy. "

mostly i just wanted to portray fem!hank as a Large Woman because i think there is a severe lack of that. broad with muscle hidden under fat, like the kind of woman who does shot put. so uh,,, ms trunchbull basically LMAO. deep voice, raspy from smoking and drinking, all that good stuff 😩👌 also peep the button on her jacket hehe

got some headcanons and stories for them under the cut!

-hank wears cargo shorts 100% of the time. no matter the weather or temperature. like, 'bill and ted at prom in shorts, but it's her at a dpd ceremony in cargo shorts' level. but not actually because i'm totally gonna draw her in a pantsuit later, totally not with connie on her hip in a slinky dress 👀

-also yes hank's shirt is a spongebob reference

-when people ask hank why she goes by hank and not her "real name," (which i like to headcanon is "henrietta") she always says, "oh it's actually a really funny story, i'll tell you later," and the later never comes lmao. or, if she does tell you, it's some made up wacky story that actually has nothing to do with giving herself the name hank. the real reason? she just likes it

-speaking of "henrietta," this story, 'if you know where to look' by ghost_teeth, works so fucking well with a lot of my headcanons about how their characters would be like genderbent! highly recommend it, and all their dbh stories honestly!

-connie has a compact gun (i asked my brother for examples and he said sig p365 or springfield hellcat, which i think work perfectly for this) holstered inside her jacket on the left side. also, i'm stealing this idea from this post (which basically almost has the same design for fem!connor (altho like, most designs for her are basically the same lmao)) but she also has a knife strapped to her thigh

-her skirt is actually made of some super high tech flexible and durable material, and she's got specific programming to make her balance crazy good, since she'll be running in heels. she's made to hunt and pursue deviants so obviously she needs to be able to run and jump. the outfit is only made to appear like a standard "business woman" to blend in with the humans she would be required to work with, but otherwise gives her everything/doesn't hold her back from doing what she needs to complete her mission. here's a bonus conversation i had with @extraordinaryandroid about it lmaoo:

-hank met connor-51 first for the ortiz case, but connie-52 (with 51's memories of course) came in the next day when it was announced they were to be officially paired to investigate deviants. cyberlife has their grubby lil hands in everything so of course they knew their RK800 unit would be paired with this lieutenant anderson before basically anyone else, and deemed that she'd get along better with a "female model" that she would find attractive. which of course has hank like WOW that's super weird and gross of y'all! and i fucking hate that it's working you pieces of shit at cyberlife !!!! but ofc connie's like "im a machine i dont even have a gender" all the while hank's sweatin major thirsty bullets

-at the cyberlife tower, connor-51 is the one to hold hank at gunpoint. how did he get hank to trust him? idk i haven't figured that out yet lmao, but the angst of connor-51 essentially taking the place of -60 from the game in the sense that he's clearly deviant in some capacity, in this context being that he feels connie stole the life he deserved (which he'd never admit) and now wants to suck up to cyberlife and be their best boi to feel important and special again and not knowing they'd just throw him away for the RK900 model, is very good imo. that was a very long sentence so i hope it made sense lmaoo. have i worked out all the details of how all that shit would work in a story? absolutely not, im too busy thinking about butch fem!hank making her robo girlfriend bluescreen in the bedroom 🤪

also if ur wondering wtf the background is, idk. my usual plain color gradient was too simple, but i did NOT want to put in the effort to do a whole ass real background, so i settled on something in between. meh, it's just them hagin' out behind the station on a smoke break ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

D:BH Tarot Cards "zine"

I got the pleasure to be part of the team that made this project a reality. What started as me fangirling on the side ended in a tight knit little community where I was able to paint 2 of the cards.

I was in charge of the design for the Back of the Cards and the Five of Wands!

The Five of Wands is a card about conflict, competition ,and rivalry so I painted Daniel!!

The realism got very side tracked by my demand for more glow but I don't totally hate it. It fought me a good but I wrangled it back into position ahah

And for the Back of the Cards, I just wanted to highlight the ribbon of fate and the mix of their respective differences. I went a bit more traditional since my fave part of cards is always the classy blues and golds.

star trek update time. i realized when i went to type updates on enterprise that i never posted my notes about the 4th and final tng film so that's what this post is

first of all, this move was in fact bad, but the most hilarious part of it was trying to convince us that tom hardy was sir patrick stewart's clone. i'm a little bit face blind and even EYE can see the difference there

secondly, the planet remus introduced so much confusion. why are the alien planets naming themselves after earth mythology? what is a reman? this was the only thing i really felt curious about and they never explained ANYTHING

audible reaction when picard came onscreen the first time. perfectly synchronized cries of "gross!" we're professional haters. luckily, we don't have to see him again until picard. i won't miss him.

when he told data to shut up at the wedding toast :( WHY DOES PICARD HATE AUTISTIC PEOPLE

over all thoughts i suppose? (spoilers, and knowing the kind of genre that mout.hwashing offers, these warnings can apply here. i tried not to say it so bluntly but do keep in mind if you're sensitive to it)

this might come off as very rushed because its 12am and i have school sooo wkakdkks but but man. might not word stuff correctly and im sorry in advance but here goes

this game is one of those stories which really emphasizes on the fact that no one is really truly a winner or hero. one of the reasons why i love dark content such as this, is cuz of how people can go from being the kindest person, to the worst person alive and its all because of an event that is uncontrollable. man vs nature kind of plot device. the way they eventually get peeled off of their humanity just to protect themselves is... just something to stare in awe at. makes you think. tbh this line is most applicable to jimmy. hes a fuckin beast that i am afraid of

ive said this before, but this game really reminds me of lisa the pa.inful. the characters are forced into an uncontrollable situation, has this one consumable that is always present in the story (the mouthwash/the joy pill) and dealing with other people who cope with the situation differently. some are positive, some are neutral, or even worse

before i continue - i Do Not Like Jimmy. I do not respect him and I don't want to ever put him in a good light. so keep that in mind as i ponder about this.

jimmy is an incredibly complex character, i just wanna applaud the way he was written here - he's utterly detestable and flawed and yet he thinks he's doing the right thing. i hate to say it but he really helped make the story so. toe curling and unnerving. its insane. i really don't know where to start with this man but he clearly wants to be someone he's not. he's jealous of curly for being the superior leader, the one everyone relies on. the one in control. something he wishes he had. so when he actually does assume the role of captain, he starts to get so upset that he's failing to be their captain even if he wanted it. its so. its so petty like it seriously says a lot about him. he just wants to be feared YET he jumps the gun on everything AND doesn't want to be held accountable on what he does and blames it on everyone else. he just wants his hands to be clean. too bad. you are FLAWED everywhere. he's such a manipulator too, and i bet you that's why he wants to be in control. to let people do his bidding and if they fail, its their fault. not his. eeugg. i still will not forget his gaslighting towards daisuke on the vent scene. because of this, daisuke hurt himself SO bad. as if that wasnt it. fucking jimmy thought it was a good idea to THROW MOUTHWASH on DAISUKE'S BODY hoping it would act like some DISINFECTANT when even ANYA, THE MEDICAL STUDENT said that this is not a GOOD DISINFECTANT SUBSTITUTE. again. dude jumped the gun and just fucked around and found out. what happens? swansea is forced to mercy kill him. because of JIMMY'S DUMBASS. incredible fuckin work dude. /SARC.

as much as i am upset over daisuke's death, i dont think he had any chance after that disinfectant. he was practically burning alive and I wouldn't want him to suffer like that. its terrible. its sad even because i think swansea had a little familial bond with him and it probably really hurt him to do him like that. they remind me of hank and connor from dbh. hank was initially distant and mean to connor but through connor's kindheartedness and general innocence, hank couldn't be mean forever. the same can be said for swansea and daisuke. that's how i see it. i also wanna throw my 2 cents here, i feel that swansea is very regretful for not being the most... successful man. especially as a father. i feel that him being with daisuke is his second chance to be a good father figure to someone since he has already failed his own family and wanted to make up for it by teaching daisuke how to be a mechanic (again, reminds me of lisa the p.ainful. brad and buddy. if u know, u know)

i remember somewhere during my gameplay, jim was so angry when anya asked him to do the pill duty on curly. like hello? as captain aren't you supposed to understand your crewmates? why so dismissive? aren't they your responsibility and it's your job to also check on their morale??? why do you think the sweetener is only within captain's restriction? to ensure that everyone's mentally okay! hours go by, i see curly and he says his chad line "as captain, you are all my responsibility" AND I WAS LIKE OKAY THIS MAN GETS IT. HATE HOW THE GOOD ONES GO TOO SOON. CLEARLY JIM IS WAY OUT OF HIS LEAGUE he doesn't deserve that spot its insane he was provided that role. (i am aware of their. friendship :\)

ok ok i know you're gonna say "jil curly isnt that perfect either" YES that's why i said earlier "nobody is truly a hero" we all know that scene when anya confessed what happened to her and what did he do? idk he just says. "ill talk to him" sorry what akdjfhdhd i don't think talking is enough. he needs to be held accountable for that.... oopsie! nopee! jim already fails at being responsible soooo!!!! im sure i can say more for curly but atm ill just. stop there because i would prefer to do a round 2 of the game and then provide more insight

anya is... is a tragedy to me. a girl who had to retake her medical classes only for none of it to be successful, so she's left feeling unconfident knowing shes not really... well versed. but she really is trying her best and it has to be appreciated. the mere fact that curly is still alive is definitely because of her and i think she did amazing. she is a very sweet, and smart woman. i just hate how agaiiin ooh fuckenn jimmy has the gall to see her less of a person and devalue her worth its so djfbfbhdjdjd UGH it must be so overwhelming for her too, as the only woman in the ship it can be really scary. she's lucky to have swansea, daisuke and curly treat her right. except for Him. truly sickening. the fact that he didn't react so much to her ... demise is so ://// arent you at least, perhaps, feeling guilty? (no he's not) (the only nightmare he has of her is the fact she has ... a baby because of Him. yet again. displaying his need to have a perfect record. to have no dirt on himself. but he really does.) i truly feel sorry for her, she didn't want her unsuccessful classes define her capabilities, so she always tries her best to be informed. about the ship, her medical work, and curly of course. i remember when she said "our worst moments doesnt have to define us as monsters" or however it went. i like to think she was also saying this to herself, that even if she's just a nurse and not a doctor, she can still be of help. and it doesn't make her any less credible. i really want to hug her. i noticed she became so nervous and antsy after that subtext had been implied, i feel sorry for her.

daisuke is probably last person to have committed something so serious (iirc) and he was in fact, the victim of something worse. though it doesnt make him the perfect character either because he's just some guy who didnt have a good future ahead of him and just got there because his parents wanted him to be worthy. he was quite insecure about not being useful. (jim exploited that.)

yes daisuke may be irritating to them, but he really means good and he tries not to fight with others. im sure this is also his way of respecting everyone else as he's just an intern and they all collectively know better than his rookie self. he's quite obedient.

i wish i could say more because i really really loved this tragedy from start to finish and I could pinpoint every small detail but... ill just hold myself there hehe

i dont wanna start any arguments or debates abt the charas, i just wanna express how i understand them so far. dont take these for granted since this is all based from my first play and i'd definitely be more informed and well versed if i replayed/took time to read the intricate details

i'm very happy to have checked this game out. i was first exposed to this by jack's video and i immediately put it on watch later, not knowing it would get super popular lolol but im glad to catch up now

Honestly, despite this post being mainly about dbh, it's sorta of a general thing

But gosh, what's with the ship wars? I mean, every fandom has this problem (sorta, the only fandom I've rarely, if ever, experienced it was the splatoon fandom cuz even the most unfortunate ships are shipped lmao)

I be scrolling, tryna find like, just general content, and someone be fighting over it

And I feel its gotten worse as of late cuz it's gotten involved with familial stuff

I'm a big found family gal

It's why, when I first played Detroit, Kara's story line was my favourite at the time (as of coming back to the game, it's become Hank and Connor, but I blame my Iron dad phase for that lmao)

But I'm not gonna fight people who see it or interpreted their relationship differently. If it wasn't stated in canon, then it leaves the gate way open to any interpretation because that's the fun part of being in a fandom! Different points of view!

And I especially come from the POV of someone who shipped two characters the fandom viewed more as siblings. By the gods, the hate some people had.

I was never at the tail end of that heat, but my mutuals from a server were, and when I jumped in to defend them

Despite coming out victorious (in a sense lol), I wouldn't say it was worth the effort, waisted my breath on petty fighting and I don't wish to again

But on the other hand

I've also been on the other end where I saw two very popular shipped characters as familiar/just friends. It's weird cuz they were/are more popular to the (technically) canon couple and they very rarely, if ever interact (legit got gaslit by the fandom that they did, until I went to look into it and found a desert of canon interactions).

And it's frustrating.

I really wish people wouldn't fight over these petty things. But it's the Internet, what can ya do? I'll just do what I can to avoid this in-fighting, not my monkeys, not my circus ig.

Still though, sometimes it feels like shipping/seeing them as just family really just, leaves out nuance. I like seeing both ends because it's interesting! You don't have to, of course, but discrediting either ends is so boring. Especially in the case of DBH where there are so many endings (total of 85 people!), so many characters, so many possibilities. Being stuck on one interpretation feels redundant to the game.

Now, am I saying to not enjoy your favourite parts of the game? No! I'm not here to judge you! Create that blog about solely the ship or solely familial content! It's your blog! :D

Feel free to block out content you don't like, curate your space.

Just don't....discredit others for their own interpretation. Be kind, or at least tolerable.

Gavin’s not really a Christmas person. In fact, he generally hates any hallmark or religious based holiday. But, the DPD throws one hell of a Christmas Party every year and any place with free booze and food is a place Gavin will be. 

He’s lost track of how many spiked egg nogs he’s had by now. It's well into the late hours of the night and the only people still here at the party are the desperate singles hoping to take someone they work with home for the night.

Gavin sorta falls into that category. Publicly he is single. But in actuality, he and Nines have been banging pretty much any time they get a free moment.  

Speaking of Nines, he hasn’t seen his partner-turned-fuck-buddy in a while. He scanned the room looking for the blue LED, not seeing him in the dim-lit bullpen. 

His peripherals catch movement and when he turns he sees the reflection of an LED on one of the glass office dividers. 

“Gotcha.”

Gavin dips from the bullpen after the android, hoping for once, maybe he can get the jump on Nines.

“There you are,” Gavin growls, grabbing his android by the back of his neck before moving them swiftly and silently into a storage closet. “Been looking for this sweet ass all night.”

As soon as his boot kicks the door closed, Gavin’s lips are on Nines’, kissing him hard. It's been too long since he’s kissed his boyfriend and the spiked eggnog in his veins is making him frisky. 

“Gavin,” Nines pants and Gavin takes the opportunity of the androids mouth being open to push his tongue inside. The android whines before returning the kiss with equal excitement and Gavin chuckles. He’s never been able to reduce Nines to a whimper before. It fuels his ego enough to let his hands explore, slipping under his layers until Gavin’s fingertips touch heated, synthetic skin. Nines’ is speechless but his hands find Gavin’s hips and grip him tight, pulling him in closer. 

As soon as Gavin’s exploratory hands slip between Nines’ legs and squeezes his hard cock, two things happen. One. Nines pants, 

“Gavin, Gavin, it’s Connor,” against his lips, and Two. The door of the closet they are making out in flies open, casting their explicit activities into the light. 

The next moment Gavin is being yanked off Connor’s body by an invisible, familiar force. He’s moved and then pinned to the wall by unmistakably now, his android partner. A warning hand wraps around Gavin’s throat and Nines glacier eyes are lethal.

Shame and arousal burn hot through Gavin’s veins and Nines threatening punishment only makes him hotter. 

“N-Nines, come on.” 

The hand around his throat tightens. Gavin yields further. “I’m sorry, I didn't know, swear-”

“So you'll throw yourself on anyone who shares my face? Should I call up Sixty? See if he’s free to fuck your loose hole too?”

Gavin’s hips rocket forward with a groan, positively begging for friction, attention, anything his partner will give him, but Nines anticipates it and moves out of the way, not giving Gavin an inch. 

“Nines, babe, come on, it's not like that,” Gavin pleads, hoping this fit of jealousy turns into more of the hot claiming sex that always leaves Gavin’s mind clear and body limping the next day. Because Nines did get jealous, even if he insists his ‘advanced model’ doesn't. Especially when it comes to Connor. 

“Right, its not personal, you're just a slut.”

Gavin hates to admit it, but yeah, that’s really it.

Next was Kara [I want to call her Klara so badly lol] it goes back in forth between her story and the others and her bits are oddly short. After all the normal cleaning stuff "catching up" so to speak the action started and I chose to reason with Todd which literally did nothing but as someone who is not good with reaction games usually I think I did good only missing one button so thank you loz/kh for that. I was hoping we would escape out the window in Alice's room but no in a quick panic I choose the option that lead to the backyard which sucks because I could've just choose the front door if I wasn't trying to be so quick. It's also funny I didn't steal clothes from the laundry mat but then go and steal cookies from the store. I tried to take that fox toy for Alice but apparently I was too greedy. Anyways slept in the car...I hate how Alice protested but the kid has had a day so I'm not surprised [she did randomly disappear on me though] Also she was bugging out so much after I choose to stay at the car I wish I could've recorded it because it was the type where she was teleporting around, dropping out of existence, almost as if it was act two of ddlc but there wasn't any jump scares it was just the little errors Monika forgot about.

Which worked then after they try to take him[the droid] away and I chose to just stay quiet which this time the droid self destructing was more of me just wanting to see what would happen. It's funny I'm like yeah let's just casually kill some people with Connor but with Markus I'm like omg what have I done... Anyways have a good day or night

Jump to a few days after

St still came, even If N was not happy about it, and the boy was not really cooperating. Co, who came with her boss, tried her best to stay professional but the boy just won't listen. Ct & n stand on 5he sidelines and watch all of it unfold. Needless to say, both of them were not happy with his behavior. After a while, Bu gave in and did the tests. And his answers and solutions to his questions and riddles made the other guy very disturbed. Ct & n heard everything and were just as worried.

After Bu completed everything, St let him go and talked with his parents in private. Co had the unpleasant duty to watch the Boy, but she couldn't complain about it now. St tells them that Bu wasn't just troublesome but actually a danger to ppl around him. N tried to play it down, saying that he just needs more time to learn. But Ct cuts her off and tells her to let him talk. He keeps talking about how he never thought of his family's well-being, like Na, as well as how their parenting barely makes his behavior better. The scolding is on but the constant positivity that he gets from his sister and Mom blindsided his actions and is not what he needed.

Ct understood but they were out of options. Since their last meeting with the director they were sure that by would not be welcomed in school, he might not be taken seriously. The only kid that would stay with him was Lo. And after recent events, related not only to the kids, where they had the suspicion that one of N's and Ct's employees, Lo's dad, had started trouble and they believed he had something to do with the smuggling incident.

After St finished his report to them, he and Co left their house and drove off. Ct tied to calm his wife down but N wanted to be left alone and take some time to think. Bu was already in his room since he couldn't be bothered. As soon as the boy started playing with some of his video games he got a call from Lo as he gets his usual updates at their school. But all he gets to hear is that no one stayed for too long at the same spot when they notice his minion. Even if he tries to hide the boy eventually gets caught. No one wanted anything to do with him after they heard what these 2 did to Na. Even kids from other grades would rather stay inside than be around him. Lo whines about how they hate them now but Bu tells him to stop crying and try something else if he can't spy like that anymore.

In the Ferguson mansion

C and Se play in the living room while S & Na watch her favorite show. S was supposed to go to the police that day but she didn't want to leave the kids alone. Last night some hooligans trashed the front of her bar and she needed to give out a report. The show Na likes to watch daily was a fantasy/adventure cartoon. The main casts looked exactly like their real live versions. That's why she and the others recognized him at her party. Today's episode was about the Female lead's former best friend/ally getting her trapped in their hideout while her group of friends try to find the place they locked her in.

S was not really understanding the plot so Na tries to explain to her what the story was about from start to finish. S found it adorable how a show could rile her up to that amount when she barely gets excited about anything else than meeting her friends and C.

Speaking of C. The teenager told his brother that he will come right back bc he got a message from one of his buddies from school. Apparently, that one friend needed one of his notes to help him study. C would sometimes give out some notes about certain test subjects in case a student is struggling. While Se waits for him to come back, he eavesdrops on the TV. And while he hated to admit it, the show got him intrigued.

After looking around to be sure no one saw him, he sneaked up to the sofa and peeked around the corner to see what was happening. From what he could see, the party found the FML and was about to escape. But bad guys ambushed them near the exit. The 2 groups fought each other to the point where Na and Se were at the edge of their seats. Until Fa's character fights their former ally, questioning how she could betray them like that. But the woman just laughed and ignored his question altogether while she dominated him in the fight. Luckily for him, Fa's character was saved by his girlfriend. Both of them fought her off. The fight ended with the main cast winning and finally getting away from this place. Na was jumping with glee at the ending, as was Se. The little girl held her moment of joy to look at her cousin in confusion. S saw her son watching the show with them but wouldn't say anything, not to embarrass him. C chuckled at the sight as well. He came back not too long ago and watched them from afar. C wanted his brother and girl cousin to get along so he thought that this wouldn't be a bad idea to let the little boy watch the show. Se denied any accusation they threw at him and stomped up to his room. S asked one of the servants to look after, the little kids so that she could rest in her bed b4 going to work. C offered to do it instead. S was admiring his dependability but reminded him that he still had his own duties to finish. He promised his mom to do so and wished her a good night.

Na and C spent some time together in the playroom. Se was too busy checking social media and searching for the full episodes of this show. C found it great that these 2 now have a common interest to bond over. Na played some games with ll while c chatted with his friends on his phone. Ll entertained her long enough until she fell asleep on the couch. To not wake her up, c tells a nearby maid to get a glass of water and a blanket.

There they let her sleep until the next morning. She only occasionally was waking up to take her meds. Se & Na started to talk a little bit. not much but for them it was an improvement. they mainly talked about what he wanted to know about the show. and if there are any comic reliefs in it as well. He likes funny characters. the sillier the better or that's how he puts it. Na got picked up by her parents after the 3 kids had breakfast together. E went already to his office and S was shopping with her friends.

While C was busy studying for his next test, while se is doing his own studies. E got his youngest a handful of very talented teachers for him alone. C thought it was stupid a few years ago. He could just take online classes or applied to the school he went to when he was a kid. But his dad wanted to keep his bio kid safe first and foremost,. At first, that statement put the older boy off. He knew that he was not really like him up until his brother was born but thanks for S's intrusion and calling her husband out on his comment. They talked it out for some time and eventually came to an understanding that their first meeting really was not ideal. C was still young and under the influence of his bio mom. And E was obviously hating on her as well.

C & E finally agreed on accepting the decision and let the past be buried. After the years went by C didn't complain anymore after seeing how he would have been a target as well. If he was not bullied by Bu, there could be still another brat looking for a victim. And here someone could always have an eye on the young boy. After he got all his homework done, C decided to go to the mall to eat something he likes. He got tired of the prim and proper dishes he got served and as a child, he always loved to go to KFC. So that is where he went.

Arriving at the front of the fast food joint, he ran into Br and her group of friends. As expected, she ignored him as they were standing in line. But unbeknownst to C, Br was waiting for him to apologize to her and invite her for lunch. But nothing happened. C stopped trying to please her with every demand she was giving him. Even after they knew each other for years, he was just over it by the time they got to a higher school. Instead, he was looking at his calendar and humming the old lullaby. That ticked her off, not even her girlfriends could distract her from her oncoming rage.

She finally turned around and stared at him. C felt her gaze on him but he knew her ploy too well. As Br and her friends were next to order she just kept looking at him. Eventually, the ppl behind them got annoyed and asked her to order already or leave. Without looking at her, C cut in line, to Br's disbelieve. After getting his number he sat down and waited patiently. One of Br's friends ordered for the group and led her to another table. There she went off about how 'rude' and 'unapologetic' C has been to her the last few days.

The brainless lackeys there are, everyone agrees on how he acted. Not only now but also in school. They don't meet that often bc their lessons don't always line up. But she gets a warm welcome in every class she went to. C used to talk to her when they had the same classes but now she just gets the cold shoulder. She was not upset about that bc she liked him. Lv told her to give him some time but she wouldn't listen. After their number was called, Br went to the counter and as she glanced at C's direction she noticed that another guy sat next to him. She knew him as she has seen him in a few magazines b4.

A few minutes earlier

C was debating on talking to Br but not wanting to give in so easily he stuck to his ideals. If she finally gets to understand how destructive Bu really is then he will say sorry for his comments about him. But as it stands there might be still some time for her to do some soul-searching. not too long after, Fa saw him from outside and came in to say hello. They continued talking until a certain girl stood in front of them. Br tried her typical cute act, which somewhat works for Fa, but C was so done with that. It was cute when they were kids but now he kind of feels embarrassed thinking back on how she had him around her little finger in the past.

Br started to chit-chat with the other boy, while C started to wonder when his meal is finally done. After some more waiting, C finally gets to pick up his food. As C stood up to get his order, Br didn't waste any time & asked Fa how close they are as friends. Not thinking too much out of it he tells her that he thinks he is a good guy, and his family is pretty nice whenever they are out in public. Not much was out of the ordinary for her, but she had to know something. B4 C came back Br asked if he is familiar with a certain show. And he gleefully admits that he is a voice actor in this show. C smashed his food tray on the table, glaring at his cousin. He overheard some of their conversation and knew that she had a reason to ask his friend those questions. Br never saw this show, nor wanted to watch it with anyone. So what she had in mind was a mystery to him. But the teenage boy knew it couldn't be any good.

like dont get me wrong, i love dbh. shit ass game but i love the characters LMAO but. i've been wanting to straddle both dbh and arcane as like "main fandoms" but it's been really hard to have the same excitement about dbh, and i've been thinking about why that is a lot tonight

the conclusion i have come to is that, i finally have something new to attach myself to (arcane/jayvik lmao) which means all the shit that's been bothering me so much about dbh (aka the portrayal of connor like 75% of the time) for the last few months is finally enough for my brain to be like, okay we can just leave that there instead of trying to dig thru this pile to find something we actually like and agree with lmao

if you've been around me for a while you've definitely heard my rants about the portrayal of connor, and/or about how characters like him (white boy, smaller than the character they're usually paired with) seem to be the only ones to consistently be hit with the trans hc beam and no other kind of character (bc fat/non-stick thin people or poc cant ever be trans right?), and then ALSO made to be much more passive and gentle than the character actually is on top of that to fit some kind of 'smol trans boy bean' trope — about how i think that is problematic for shoving the trans guy experience onto only ONE kind of look/experience, among other things i am too tired to try to make coherent sentences to explain. something something shoving characters into tropes/boxes they dont actually fit into with their canon personalities and basically turning them into an oc, while also squishing the trans guy experience into only one kind of acceptable soft portrayal and how it annoys me to no end. and that's not even mentioning the portrayal of connor as a little uwu baby boy in general, sometimes on top of all that, which to me is just SO out of character. basically, it's sucked the fun outta dbh for me.

which, it IS ironic that i then jumped into arcane/jayvik bc the fandom does the same exact fuckin shit to viktor. but since the fandom is still ~new and fresh~ bc of season 2 dropping, it's super easy to find fanworks made by like-minded people as me, and i've been lucky enough to find a little group of arcane fans on bsky that feel the same way as i do about all that shit too, so of course the constant feed of arcane/jayvik shit that avoids all the stuff i dont like is addictive lmao. since dbh is "so old," the fandom is much smaller and harder to find like-minded people as myself, and fanworks that are currently coming out/being made just do not vibe with me most of the time bc of the whole soft connor portrayal, which, y'know. there's nothing wrong with it. i just hate it cuz i personally consider it completely out of character lmao, so ofc i dont like it.

my point being: i am getting the serotonin hits hardcore from the little group of like-minded people on bsky with jayvik that i havent really been getting from the dbh fandom with hankcon for a while. and it IS sad. dbh was my first fandom after not really being into anything/not being in a fandom for like a good handful of years, and i've made genuine friends thru it. the game is shit and david cage is so far stuck up his own ass it's not even funny, but these characters mean a lot to me and it SUCKS that it doesnt have the kick for me that it used to.

does this mean im leaving the fandom? no, i dont think you ever really leave a fandom you once really loved lmao. i still have a ton of art ideas i want to do, and you bet your fuckin ass im still excited as shit to draw more of me and sev's 1980s hankcon au. but i think for the most part, im not going to interact with much fanmade stuff for a while since it very clearly bothers me a good portion of the time, which. is like, the opposite of what fanart and fanfic are supposed to do lmao. when (if?) the arcane/jayvik hype dies down for me, i do genuinely see myself re-watching gameplay of dbh just to go back to the source material and re-discover what drew me in in the first place, and the hope is that i'll be able to come back with a renewed excitement for it

You and Connor had broken up months ago, and still avoided each other everyday like you were school children. Hank always complained, seeing as his desk was in-between yours and Connors and for the first week you both complained about each other to him.

Hank had been tired of it as soon as it began but he did like the two of you dating, at first you were good for each other and that's all you showed anyone until you broke up.

It was then that you noticed you were not alone in the lift. He stood quiet and serious as ever on the other side of the elevator, and you rolled your eyes. Of course he was here, he worked here too.

You nodded a small, polite hello to him which he returned as the elevator started moving. It seemed both of you were going down into the basement, you were taking some files down there and wondered what he was doing down there.

Suddenly, the elevator jumped, knocking you off balance. You dropped your paper and grabbed Connors' sleeve out of habit. His hands moved to hold you, resting on your waist. The elevator had stopped.

You turned to look at him, his eyes were already on you. Quickly, you took a step away from him and flattened your clothes down before crossing your arms.

"It stopped," Connor said, slightly panicked.

"Yeah no shit." You frowned.

Your breathing grew unstable as you spammed the call for assistance button. Your hands began to shake and you could hardly think as your heart beat louder in your ears.

Your eyes burned as tears threatened to spill. No one was coming and you were stuck underground. A cry choked in your throat and you began hyperventilating.

Everything was so loud in your ears but quiet in reality and you began to violently shake. You shut your eyes tight, biting your lip until you tasted blood as panic filled every fibre of your being.

Suddenly it was quiet and air began to return to your lungs. Your hands were soon on top of the arms around your waist and gripping the fabric of the sleeves.

Connor was holding you, his chest tight against your back and his chin resting on your shoulder. Whenever you had a panic attack before the break-up he would hold you like this and you still found comfort in it. You cursed yourself for finding comfort in him.

He lifted you off your feet and backed into a corner then sat the two of you down.

"It's okay," he cooed into your ear.

You looked over your shoulder at him, his soft brown eyes wide as he stared back. His cheeks lifted slightly as he smiled at you.

"I've got you," his words were so soft.

"Thank you," you muttered.

He nodded and rubbed your sides with the tips of his fingers. His grip was so comforting and you hated it.

"Let me go," you said, your voice soft.

"We both know you dont want that," he chuckled.

You pouted and leant back against him, comfortable in his grip. He rested his chin on your head and the two of you sat comfortably in silence for a shot while.

"Why did we ever even break up?" He spoke softly, as if he was thinking out loud.

"Because you were being the most judgemental, stubborn, workaholic person on the face of the earth and-,"

"Alright, I get the point." The two of you chuckled. "I miss us,"

You were quiet, a bitter taste in your mouth at his words.

"I would love to try again," his head moved to rest on your shoulder, close to your neck.

"I dont want to get hurt again." Your words were hard and cold.

"I cant make any promises but I can try harder," he pleaded.

You glanced his way, your eyes catching on his lips as you dragged your eyes away.

"I'm scared,"

"Do you still have feelings for me?" He asked.

You turned so that your side was against him so that you could look up to see him. You furrowed your eyebrows as you thought for a moment.

You did indeed still have feelings for him. They overwhelmed you with everything he did, each action pulling at your heart.

"Do you?" You responded.

"Of course I do,"

"I do too," you pursed your lips.

The elevator shifted, falling down slightly and you yelped, burying you face in his chest as you clung onto him.

His arms moved up around you, resting on your lower back and shoulder as he held you tight.

"Someone is on the way, don't worry," he assured you, rubbing your back.

"Don't let me go," you voice was muffled by his chest.

"I'm never going to let you go,"

The elevator jolted again, another yelp escaped your lips.

"I love you, so so much and I know I don't deserve another chance but if you let me try again I promise, I will be better for you. I just want to see you happy and I can't stand the thought of someone else making you happy."

"You're talking as if we're going to die!" You looked up at him.

"I know but I want you to know how I feel, and we avoid each other all the time it's like i dont exist to you anymore,"

"I'm sorry I've been so cold," you muttered. "I do love you too, with every breath and each beat of my heart."

He smiled. "Can we try again?"

"Only if you try,"

He nodded. He swore to himself that he would try harder, he would be better for you and will make you very happy.

The elevator jumped again and started slowly moving down. You were finally on your way down again.

"It seems we're saved," he smiled.

Before the elevator could stop, you pulled on Connors tie, jerking him towards you and pressed your lips against his. He moved into the kiss and gently placed his hand on your cheek.

The two of you were still kissing as the elevator dinged and the doors opened. Someone cleared their throat and you looked round to see Hank, smirking with his arms crossed. He leant lazily on a desk and raised his eye brows upon seeing the two of you.

You scrambled to your feet and pat down your clothes, removing any dust. Connor was soon stood next to you, offering you your papers that you had dropped earlier.

He placed a soft kiss on your temple before rushing off to do whatever he had to do. You stood there dazed, staring at Connor as he walked away.

"Hello Hank," you smiled.

"I knew you two would work it out," he grinned, soon walking away.
