Thank you for being you and sharing all the knowledge and wisdom you earned over the years! It's really not easy being an open lesbian in today's world, much less helping younger generations learn how to be more at peace with ourselves (its like herding cats LOL). I always admired how you approached our questions and troubles with understanding and empathy. You feel like the very down-to-earth cool aunt I always wished I had. Thank you. It was a lovely day at work. The weather was decent and I worked with my boss who also happens to be one of the older lesbians in my life who was instrumental in me gaining confidence in who I am.

Hearing the stories, rather than being preached to about what to do and not to do, helped me more than many of my older lesbian friends will over know. I can't always gather around a campfire or potluck with other generations to share but I can talk about my experiences on line in hopes that younger lesbians will see themselves in my stories. Take what they need and leave the rest.
