Mini-review:

We've finally reached the end of Young Royals, which has remained as enjoyable as always until its very last second. I must admit I felt like the show kept going in circles during these final episodes, and like maybe they took the angst a bit too far this time round. On top of that, sometimes subtlety went out the window when it came to handling certain social issues. But still, the finale itself was so f**king perfect and cathartic that it more than made up for any problems. I will definitely miss this show, cause these characters are so well-written and brilliantly-acted that you can't help but immerse yourself in their world.

I had the same thought as you when I saw nn's post! Hope they'll announce the rest of the cast soon. It would be great if one of his new projects is a Netflix or hbo max production, so it'll be able to reach a bigger international audience.

I also wanted to ask if you've watch any of Julia Lindström's projects? I haven't, but her resume looks promising and I'm excited!

Yeah for the international audience it would be amazing. It's probably not a netflix project but who knows.

I've seen Nattryttarna (she apparently directed 4 eps) and I loved it.

It will be exciting to see what she brings to Young Royals and I think it's so nice that they have worked with several different female directors.

I do miss Erica though. Not gonna lie.

Julia is new as director. I think Erik is too (as I don’t see YR in his IMDb). I really really hope they got a whole new team behind the cameras 🤞 so let’s go Erik. Let’s get that bad boy steady and in focus 😂

I think I sent the other ask to the wrong blog, so: please tell me something I dont know about Julia and Asteria and Swedish Friend! (I would add Cordelia to the list but I already know she needs to be stabbed and really, what more is there to know?)

Ohh this is a good one! None of my girls are super developed tho so bear with me 😆

I've kinda had this idea for a while that Julia plays the guitar. I just think it would be fun if she and James could play music together!

Asteria is my blue haired space gal. I chose her name because it's a ancient Greek name for star/of the stars/starry one according to what I could find. Which is fitting because she really is 'of the stars'. Also, she has white freckles that kinda looks like stars! She also has a cybernetic arm and one cybernetic eye. I don't really have a solid backstory for her, except that it's vaugely futuristic? Maybe a futuristic Earth, or some other planet.

She likes adventure and very possibly has a knack for getting in 😆 I'm pretty sure she'd fall under the category of defiant whumpee's, she won't take shit from anyone.

I know you didn't ask about her, but I have another girl I haven't developed a lot, a private investigator called Aurora Stark. I just like the idea of someone putting themselves in possible danger to investigate something and end up getting hurt 😈

As for Swedish friend, I unfortunately don't have that many details yet although I really need to figure it out by now xD Her name is Elin Lindström not sure that was the exact name I came up with at first, but it is her name now xD I've been thinking that she might be in the medical field? Or some sciencey field at least. And she probably has at least a somewhat skewed moral compass, for sure!

And since you mentioned Cordelia, she likes expensive and fancy/luxurious things. She also likes her human pet and hurting him when she needs to, as well as watching him fight 😈
