Three’s A Crowd
Billy and Stu x F!Reader
Word Count: 800
Summary: After discussing the murder of Casey Becker, Billy and Stu think they’ve found someone who might be committed to their cause.
TW: Canon typical violence
You sighed as you plopped down on the concrete beside Sydney and Tatum, sitting between the two couples. Randy was ranting about something or other, like usual, but you couldn’t be bothered to pay attention. To be honest, all this fuss with the murders was…annoying. You’d been pulled out of class twice to be “checked on” which is a nice way of saying interviewed, and offered grief counseling from some girl who’s been rude to you since middle school.
Now, all anyone can talk about is Casey and Shane. You’d hoped that sitting next to your friends would give you a break, but alas, Randy was spewing some shit about movies and rules and killing. You rolled your eyes and picked up the small bag of chips from your bag, tearing it open.
“Did they ask you guys if you liked to hunt?” Stu asked, looking towards Billy and Randy, who both nodded their heads.
“They didn’t ask us if we liked to hunt.” Tatum pointed out, shrugging her shoulders. Which was true. None of the girls were asked any questions pertaining to the death of Casey or Shane, just where they were and if they’d like grief counseling, while the boys were looked at more carefully. Which, you thought, was pretty offensive.
Stu laughed, popping a grape into his mouth “Because a girl couldn’t have killed them.”
“Wrong.” You said frankly, voice monotone, chip crunching between your teeth.
Everyone looked towards you, Stu and Randy with the usual misogynistic mansplain face on. “I heard they were gutted. A girl couldn’t do that.” Stu stated, and Randy immediately followed up, “And most serial killers are men.”
“First off all, Randy, a killer has to rack up three kills to be labeled a serial killer. And second of all, Stu, women can, and have, kill people like that.”
Billy sat up onto his palms, now paying more attention to the way you spoke.
“Oh yeah? Give me an example.”
You scoffed, crumpling your now empty chip bag and shoving it into the pocket of your backpack. “Are you stupid? Have you ever heard of… I don’t know, Elizabeth Bathory? One of the first women to be accused of serial killing. She’d capture virgins from the village, torture them, then bathe in their blood. She believed it kept her young.”
“Yeah, accused. And she used servants.” Randy rebutted, giving you a cocky smile.
“Okay… Aileen Wuornos.”
“Just shot her victims, never gutted them.”
“Randy, I’m not arguing if a woman could gut someone or not. Don’t be an idiot, of course a woman could. I’m saying that women are just as capable of being killers. What about Juana Barraza? Killed like…50 innocent elderly people. Just because she didn’t gut them doesn’t mean she is a better person.”
Stu nodded a little bit, eating another grape before speaking. “I guess you’re right.”
You looked over to Sydney, seeing how uncomfortable she was, which made you feel a little guilty but you’d been walking in eggshells around her for a year. You shifted a little bit and leaned back against your hands, sighing. “Doesn’t matter anyway. They won’t catch who did it.”
Billy finally chimed in. “Why do you say that?”
“I heard a couple cops saying they found no evidence at the scene. Like a ghost killed them.” You said nonchalantly, causing Billy to look over to Stu. They made eye contact for a moment, but nobody caught it.
Billy watched you carefully. It seemed like you couldn’t care less about Casey being killed…and that interested him. The bell rang, and everyone stood and disbursed, except for Billy and Stu.
Stu leaned over, whispering into Billy’s ear. “She doesn’t care at all dude…this is awesome.” He was giddy. Billy knew Stu’s always had the hots for you, and this caused him to roll his eyes just a bit. But he couldn’t lie…this excited him too.
“Don't get your hopes up, Stu…”
“You think she’d help us?”
Billy turned to stare at him for a moment…maybe you would.

I'm convinced men point to Aileen Wuornos as “THE female serial killer” (instead of Juana Barraza, for example) is because she is the embodiment of women they hate.
Many people would use the excuse that they point to Wuornos because she is American. There are more than a handful of examples of female serial killers in America who have killed more people than Aileen Wuornos ever did (Christine Falling, Genene Jones, Nannie Doss, Belle Gunness, etc), so she is not special in that regard.
People would argue that her method was just so unspeakable. Most female serial killers murder by poison or similar less violent methods than their male counterparts. Her method of killings was by shooting her victims, which is not very atypical of female murderers.
Aileen Wuornos is singled out as “THE female serial killer” because she was a lesbian, she was a prostitute, and she killed when she knew she would be r*ped.
It is undisputed that Aileen was most likely raped by the first man she killed, Richard Mallory, because he has a history of s*xual assault and rape. People scoff at the idea of a prostitute being raped, but every time you make a person decide on food for dinner or not having sex with you, that is rape.
These men view her as “THE female serial killer” because she is the embodiment of women that are subhuman to them, yet they still believe they deserving of sex from.
Aileen Wuornos was mentally ill; she had a psychopathic personality and likely had ASPD and/or BPD as well. She was severely s*xually abused as a child. There are definitely red flags of someone who would become a disturbed individual, I'm not arguing against that. I'm just asking, “Why do they focus on Aileen Wuornos?”
Reason 1383929 I hate “true crime communities”

Juana Barraza
Other Names:
Mataviejitas ( Little Old Lady Killer) and La Dama del Silencio (The Lady of Silence)
Childhood and Adolescence
Juana Barraza was born and raised in Mexico City, Mexico on December 27, 1957.  Barraza's mother,  Justa Samperio, was a stay at home mom but was an alcoholic.  Juana grew up in poverty, North of Mexico City, and had never learned to read or write much.  The main source of trauma in Juana’s life, it seems, was her mother, Barraza  didn’t really know her biological father.  When she was about thirteen her mother reportedly exchanged her for three beers to a man, Jose Lugo.   He would repeatedly raped her in his care, and by whom she became pregnant with a son.  Lugo tied her to his bed, and would continually rape her over and over, even when she had an abortion, or when she gave birth to a son.  After five years, her uncles finally found her and rescued her.  It turned out, Juana’s mother had been lying to the rest of the family this entire time, saying that Juana had just left with her rapist of her own free will.
Adult Life
Barraza finally left for Mexico City after her mother died of cirrhosis. She underwent several failed marriages, from which she had four children. Her firstborn died in a gang related shooting when he was 24 years old.  During the 1980s and 1990s, Barraza held a variety of jobs.  She also toured central Mexico as a masked wrestler named La Dama del Silencio ("The Lady of Silence"), which was  an alias she chose in reference to her own shy, silent personality.  After the birth of her fourth child in 1995,  she was short of cash, she began to steal items from shops and later evolved to burglarizing homes.  In 1996, she came up with a plan with a friend, Araceli Tapia Martínez, to steal from the elderly.  The two of them dressed up in white clothes and pretended to be nurses.  They did this  in order to gain access to the homes of elderly people living alone.  The two continued robbing them once they were inside, however, Tapia was also in a relationship with a corrupt Federal Police officer, Moisés Flores Domínguez, and they concocted a parallel plan to extort Barraza.  Flores met Barraza after a burglary that she had committed alone and he demanded 12,000 pesos in return for not arresting her.  In 2000, Barraza retired from wrestling, where she earned 300 to 500 pesos per fight, and her situation became desperate.  This is when her crimes began to become more violent and rash.
Crimes
From the years 2002 to 2006, Juana Barraza continued her burglaries but she began stabbing, strangling, and murdering those whose houses she was breaking into.  It is suspected that she had been responsible for as many as 40 deaths.  All of Barraza's victims were women aged 60 or over, most of whom lived alone.  She would bludgeon or strangle her victims, and afterward would rob them.  It is said that Barraza would pose as a social worker or nurse offering medical services to earn the victims' trust and gain access to their homes without forced entry.

Arrest and Capture
Relying on eyewitnesses and the nature of the crimes, Mexican police believed their suspect was a cross-dressing man or transgender male with broad shoulders, large hands, and a muscular build.  Under intense pressure from the media and concerned residents, authorities incorrectly arrested several innocent people, including a nurse, a slew of transgender men, and prostitutes who they believed resembled the suspect.  By late 2005, the number of deaths linked to the serial strangler reached 47.  Mexican officials had no leads or potential suspects.  The  Governor of Mexico City, Alexandro Encinas,  reached out to the National Autonomous University of Mexico neuropsychologist Dr. Feggy Ostrosky to study the murders.  It wasn’t until January 25, 2006, when there was a break in the case when Barraza was seen by a tenant as she left the murder scene of landlady Ana María de los Reyes Alfaro.  She ended up being arrested by a passing police patrol. Though Barraza was illiterate, a search of her home found a trophy room with newspaper clippings of the murders.  The police also found objects taken from the victims and an altar to Jesús Malverde and Santa Muerte.  These were two folk saints commonly venerated by Mexican criminals.
Trial and Conviction
In 2008, Barraza was tried for 30 murders and was found guilty of 16 of them.  She admitted to one murder, that of Alfaro, and told the police her motive was lingering resentment regarding her own mother's treatment of her.  Aside from the murders she was also involved in 12 robberies. The convictions were mostly for murders she could be tied to through fingerprint evidence. Barraza was sentenced to 759 years in prison, but she will be paroled regardless in 2058, at the age of 100.
Where is Barraza Now?
Barraza received multiple long sentences, all of which adds up to 759 years if served consecutively, but if they are served simultaneously, it’s possible she wouldn’t spend more than 60 years in prison. This is the highest sentence ever given to a criminal in Mexico.  She was sentenced at 51 years old, so it’s unlikely she’d be alive after 60 years behind bars.  In 2015, Barraza married fellow inmate Miguel Ángel, a 74-year-old man who was serving a sentence for murder in the men's sector of the Santa Martha de Acatitla prison.  The marriage lasted only a year after they met just three times.  Barraza now sells tacos in the prison courtyard to support her family and works as a gym instructor.   One of her main activities at the prison is walking older women around.

The Old Lady Killer: Juana Barraza
No one ever wants to think about the possibility of losing a loved one in an accident. But when tragedy strikes, it is essential to know that you have the legal right to seek compensation for your loss.
A wrongful death lawyer can help you pursue damages from those responsible for the death of your loved one. Take, for example, the case of Juana Barraza, one of the most brutal and fascinating examples of serial killers in recent history.
