My Day 2 submission for Jason's Birthday Week, featuring SIX different Jasons! I'm slightly amused that while everyone's holding their weapons, the RHatO-Jason is just doing a hip thrust. I swear it just sort of happened as I was sketching.

Also, if this was a sitcom, I'd imagine Robin-Jason as the precocious kid, while the Grant-Morrison-Jason is the fratbro. And everyone questions the judgement of the Jason who uses a crowbar.

Jason Todd’s Birthday Week: Day 2 - Jason taken in by another DC character & Dream Team

“He doesn’t get past the second tire.

The street is dark and silent and damp, like all alleyways in Gotham; the only sound echoing off the walls is Jason’s heavy breathing as he tries to finish his job as quick as possible.

So when a hand grabs him by the back of his shirt and lifts, Jason screams.

He screams bloody murder, because for all he knows it might as well be, and he thrashes and kicks and claws.

“Hey, hey, stop that, dammit,” it’s a woman’s voice, gruff and annoyed, and a little amused. It doesn’t mean shit, not in Crime Alley, this can still be the beginning of his murder story, but Jason decides to open his eyes at least, take a look on his wannabe murderer. “Jesus, kid, should’ve known you’d be a biter.”

or, alternatively, Kate Kane is the one that finds Jason stealing tires, and she might still be figuring out how to be an adult, but leaving a kid on the streets in the middle of winter is not something she's willing to do.

Jason Todd’s Birthday Week 2018 - Day 6: One New Costume/ Alias

tomorrow may rain, so I’ll follow the sun

This is why he needs change.

He’s done being other people’s projects, be it Bruce, Talia, or the Joker.

“It looks good,” Roy offers, eyeing his new uniform, and Jason is thankful, “of course, if you ever think about wearing a helmet again, I’d do a way better job.”

“A better job than genius Bizarro?”

“Hell yeah,” he says haughtily, “I can think of at least six things to improve, and that’s just here, off the top of my head.”

or, alternatively, Jason is done with the Bats, and leaving everything behind is both harder and easier than it sounds.

Introducing Red Topper Jason Todd from the Gotham by Gaslight timeline for the New Costume/Alias prompt!

- “Topper” is an old slang for top hat, apparently. I wanted it to be reminiscent of the hood he wore during the Grant Morrison era, or even the one in Ninja Batman.

- I turned him from a redhead in the Gaslight universe into his usual brunet

- He’s wearing the same red ascot/scarf as the one he wore as a child from the movie

- It’s not a gun, it’s a grappling hook! Design taken straight from the Batman in this universe. Added some steampunk elements to match.

- Normally, he would have the goggles on to hide his identity

- The Smoking pipe is a reference to Sherlock Holmes (Holmes first appeared in print in 1887, and Jack the Ripper was active in 1888 when the Gaslight story took place) Being a book lover, I bet the novels made quite the impression on him. Yes, Jason also smokes in this timeline, but it’s much classier with a smoke pipe, right? 

- The brown letter jacket and bluish shirt/vest has the same color scheme as Rebirth Jason.

- I find it amusing that this is probably one of the “happier” timelines for Jason. In this one, all three “cock-robins” were adopted together, so there wasn’t as much inferiority/replacement complex when he compares himself to the Robins before and after. 

- Also, the “brothers” are on extremely good terms, considering “Dickie” probably took care of the younger two when they were living on the streets, and Jason naturally deferred to Dickie’s leadership in the movie

- Considering Bruce and Selena probably got married in this timeline, that means no Damien, but the boys will get a sister in the form of Helena Wayne

- This was super fun to design and draw!
