damn i really didn’t think they’d do it so soon 😭 obviously beyond excited for auston and this isn’t too surprising given he was going to be captain at some point in the near future anyway but it kind of makes zero sense to me that management made this change during the last year of jt’s contract instead of just giving it one more season when it would’ve been a tidier transfer 😭 idk he gets so much flack for his leadership for no real reason that it kind of sucks to see the weirdos who were demanding he be stripped of the c feel like they won

no exactly gklfdsjf. the only reason this is bad to me is all the ammo it gives the most annoying leaf fans alive klfjsdklfs. like i really think people overrate how much a single individual can do for you. auston's been a leader in this locker room for years now, the gap between the c and the leadership core in general isn't that wide at all, so this is just a very surface aesthetic change, lol. i'm happy auston will get to have it in his prime but as always, can't experience a pure positive emotion seeing how half the fans react and are the worst ppl alive abt everything.
