when gill wanted to revive the prison guard after baseballing her head off, grizzly asked if he had any dimonds.... you need dimonds to do revival magic.

May needed dimonds to save Gillion when had the scratch. he was dead. he was gone.. omg

i will repeat this once more: gillion tidestrider NEVER CHANGE I love you so much actually. he befriends centipedes, he dismembers people he plays tag with and then puts them on ice out of concern, he doesn't know how to use doors. he tries to rhyme when he's convincing someone to leave jail.

There is a pained cry behind him, gurgling and desperate, and then silence, and Chip’s blood runs cold. His throat feels tight as he turns to face the fountain, the heaping mound of marble and ichor where he last saw Gillion Tidestrider, his co-captain, his best friend. He blinks at the rubble, watching the last of the dust settle, revealing the wreckage. His heart stops.

i just think those few moments before they filled chip in on the plan had to have been horrifying

in jrwi riptide ep 107 at around 1:31 gillion punched one of a persons limbs off by accident with a nat 20 and for some reason the ensuing scene reminded me of that bit in the snapcube real time fandub of sonic 06 where mephiles/memphis tennessee kills sonic with a laser spike through the chest and then he's like "oh my god that was an accident oh im sorry oh are you ok" etc. idk they just have the same vibes to me
