Went out to the city for a friend's birthday! Ate good food and did some shopping. I'm a lot more stingy than I used to be, but I still had fun! I didn't buy anything haha. Wishing her the best as always, was a fun trip! I made her a card too, it turned out adorable! I enjoy making birthday cards even though I just take inspiration from the internet.

I did my best to pick out Sanrio characters that think fit the characters best! it was a struggle;; ( ꩜ ᯅ ꩜;)  so I hope did a good job in picking!

Hello Kitty Shinkansen. Yes it's real, and it's a lot of fun.

A year ago, I planned a trip between Hiroshima and Kokura on what I feel is the wackiest train concept imaginable. Take the 500 Series Shinkansen, an absolute rocketship (and IMO the best train ever) and wrap it in pink. That didn't sound too appealing to me when I first heard of the project, but I've got to say, the livery is a banger, and turned a lot of heads at every station we stopped at!

The train remains on a regularly-scheduled service, a return trip between Hakata, Fukuoka on Kyûshû, and Shin-Ôsaka as an all-stop Kodama, so it's a normal train... save for two cars. Car 1 is basically a shop, while car 2 is the Kawaii! Room, a seating car in full Kitty mode!

The front of car 2 also has a space to pose with Kitty-chan. As a collab, the Hello Kitty Shinkansen takes the opportunity to showcase the prefectures JR West serves, with Kitties on the map promoting each area's special feature, such as "the great lake" in Shimane (Shinji-ko), "we love this pear!" for Tottori (though Kitty seems to be holding an apple?), takoyaki for Ôsaka, and Hyôgo is "proud of Bread" (any thoughts on that @todayintokyo?). These 8 local characters are repeated on each of the 8 cars outside.

While I'm not a fan or particularly knowledgeable about Hello Kitty, I thoroughly enjoyed riding this train. It's over the top with Easter eggs everywhere, down to the jingles! (not my recording)

& that of course, without counting the one who surely was most happy today.

Gently, her hand would raise to caress the dark fur of Sasha’s snout as he would lower his lovely kitten face to her height— for he was tiny Cat no more; but a giant feline silhouette! The Growing Darkness of Winter was indeed ending now & the Sun will proceed to slowly bright more & more each day, Spring will be on its way! It’s the time were the Magic beneath his paws is most excited & happy, the time his power peaks enough to become what he used to be back when the Night Garden existed.

A familiar & imposing creature, tonight big-enough to compare to Camavorian Dragons on height but still as purring & tender as the sweetest of Critters. He was hungry, however. Emilia had given new clothes to all in her staff & her beloved ones so Sasha wouldn’t accidentally feel the need to eat one or two… Only the All-Mother may had known why the Yule Cat was drawn to those without new clothes, but she had made sure regardless to feed his belly with a lot of her hunts just as equally as those she would keep in storage for Briar.
