I’ve always had this expectation that I could make changes in myself and there wouldn’t be any struggle. I believed that I should be able to change my diet, sleep schedule, bath routine without any flaw. I know how ridiculous this sounds because I, too, find it quite out there. Ultimately, though, when it comes down to it, I hold myself to that standard. I look back and think ‘ Man, I shouldn’t be so hard on myself. I mean yes, I should strive to do better, and push myself, but I’m not doing myself any favours by punishing myself for my failures’. I should allow myself to make mistakes in times of big change, because you have to reroute a whole bunch of connections in your brain when you break routine. Though we don’t realize it, we are constantly making these pathways,  routes, and routines for ourselves. It’s natural, it’s human, to create structure in our lives, whether it be what time of day we eat our meals, or when we brush our teeth, or how we take on physical activity. We set up these routines and then when we try to break routine and fail, come down on ourselves for not being perfect.
I never thought awareness could do so much for my health. Something I have started trying when I make changes is to first focus on my awareness. When I start a new “diet”, (I hate the word diet because that word has been drilled into my brain as if it were a sin, but it makes the most sense here) I start by focusing on what I want to achieve. Right now, for the first time in my life, I am attempting to watch and cut my calories. It’s still a weird concept to me, But the way I started was not by starting the diet at all. At first I just simply looked at how many calories I was eating in a day with my regular eating habits. I still ate the things I usually do, but payed more attention to what it exactly was that I was eating - the calories, fats, sodium, calcium, vitamins, etc. Without even having to try over the next week I was eating healthier. There was a lingering presence in the back of my mind, and every time I would go to make myself some food, or eat out, I would look into the calories for the meal, and change my mind when I realized how unhealthy it was. Now, of course, this didn’t work every time, because Sometimes I get a hardcore craving on chocolate, or a tub of Ben and Jerry's ice cream, but overall, my diet was already starting a new path for me.
Over the next couple of weeks, I was able to focus more and more on the things that were going into my body, until I finally got to the point that I was controlling what was going into my body. As sad as this may sound, this is the most control I have ever had over my urges for food. If I have one weakness in life it is delicious, salty, fatty food. I have daily craving for extravagant home cooked meals that consist of 5 different sauces and accompaniments, and most importantly, dairy (of almost any kind). I do have a soft spot in my heart for sauces though, whether it be creamy herb and garlic, honey garlic, gravy, beurre blanc, tomato, caesar dressing,.... The point is that I love sauce, and in most meals, that is where the calories, fats and salt hit.  I can now safely say, that I can control that urge, it definitely still is a struggle, but I make it through the day and look back feeling more relieved that deprived.
It’s hard to tell where things went right. When change happens over time, it’s hard to pick out exactly where things started, or when it got easy. The truth is though, that for me, it started with awareness. Something so small, so simple. It shouldn’t  have much of an effect, yet it does. Now, of course this is one of my best case scenarios. There are many things in life that I still am trying to change and they are taking  longer than planned. Things just can’t go as planned all the time. It’s life, so we should just keep on trying and one by one things will stick, they will just work out. It’s not helping any of us to put deadlines on ourselves.
I guess the point  I am trying to make is how important it is to be aware. Even though I used food as my example, we should be applying this to so much more. If we start letting ourselves being aware of the spaces and people around us, I feel that our world will come closer together. We can be aware of the impact our words have, what our actions really do, how politics affects our day to day lives. There are the little things, and that’s where we start, but I for one, want to be able to , one day, shift my awareness to the bigger things in life. I have to get the small stuff down, because how can I expect myself to get to the big things if I can’t even handle the small ones. So we start small, but my end goal is to be focusing on my community, country, and my world. We all have to pick a starting point, mine was by focusing on my anxiety so I could let go of the weights holding me down, maybe one day I’ll finally be able to let my focus fall on something more than myself and that, for right now, is my awareness.
Being able to let ourselves change is a start, but where do we go from here?

Story of how the TIDY MIND came to be.
Working with the mind on your own can be super confusing and frustrating! 
It can be difficult to know where to start and how to deal with emotions as they arise. 
You do your best to make sense of it and grab whatever self-help information you can from various places such as books, tv, articles, youtube, etc…
I understand this frustration because I like you, have spent years doing self work.. reading.. searching..trying.. only to find that my mind was still controlling my emotions and creating unwanted behaviours.
I dedicated my life to finding something that makes understanding the mind easier… not only for myself, but for my clients who were desperate for help.
After a session with one of my very visual clients, I saw a visual in my own mind of a house. I saw myself and this client dumping all of her stuff out in the middle of the floor, organising it, and then taking it to different rooms. I then saw this crazy little being running from room to room, dragging things back out, creating fear and chaos, telling lies, making up stories… running around in a full out panic..that then resulted in full out panic within her.
I sat down and began drawing a map of the house and the rooms.
I then took one of my own problems, dumped it all out.. every single thought that the crazy little being was shouting..I could see how this voice was stirring up my emotions. 
I worked with this over time and could then clearly see the habitual nature of my mind and the topic(s) that it used the most to create emotional upset. It knew what buttons to push. It knew my deepest emotional wounds and was taking me straight to them.
I then realised I could use this crazy little being we call the mind to my advantage. It was always showing me the lies it would tell about me or others that I would always believe.
There are things that you have come to believe about yourself and other people that are not true. Every time the mind tells this lie, and you believe it, you suffer.
The lies, the misperceptions, the judgements, the criticisms, the conditions, the expectations are the cause of our collective mental dysfunction. We now believe lies and this has created a feeling of being unsafe.
These lies and the emotions you have stored within you are what we will be tidying up.
Every time we find a lie , bring in understanding, and release the stored emotion, we make space within you for Joy to move in.
Don’t become overwhelmed with this tool.
Don’t feel you have to understand all of this right now. 
What I want most, is for you to go into this process in a relaxed way. 
You will be guided. 
You will be supported. 
There will be an abundance of patience, kindness, unconditional love and acceptance provided to you by your heart if you tune into it. 
There is no pressure, no stress, no time frame, no measuring stick of your progress. 
It takes as long as it takes. However, the moments of relief from emotional pain and pressure will happen pretty quickly in this process. 
Sustaining that relief will grow with time and practice.
This tool and this teaching is yours to use throughout your lifetime as long as you find it helpful.
Time to start tidying your mind.

Air is earth's atmosphere, the layer of gases that surrounds the planet. Earth's atmosphere is the invisible force that protects life on earth. It condenses permitting liquid water to exist. It absorbs ultraviolet solar rays, warming its surface through heat conservation. It reduces climate intensities between day and night. It is a majestic wonder to traverse Earth's troposhere where I am witness to terrestrial plants, animals and other life forms. As I boldly rise above earth's atmosphere, I am witness to its thinner layer. A blueness of thin air and I so dare to increase altitude where there is no boundary between earth's atmosphere and the blackness of the universe. Astronauts use spaceships to be witness to atmospheric effects and its composition, and to seek other life forms. I use spiritual vision, the ultimate remote viewing without ever having to physically leave the planet. Every mind willing has the capability.to spiritually explore everywhere. 22 February 2015
This morning I got woken up at 8:30 by little feet kicking me. My son was bright eyed and bushy tailed so I decided to join him.
Weight: 138.8 (Water weight will fluctuate dramatically because I am still breastfeeding)
I started off the day with an egg McMuffin. I know what you're thinking- McDonald's? It isn't McDonalds- I got pepperidge farm McMuffin buns at the store. They have about 130 cals per bun. 
So breakfast looked like this:
1 egg- 70 cals
1 Pepperidge Farm bun- 130 cals
2 Slices of Turkey bacon slightly burnt- 80 cals
1 Cup of Coffee with Fat Free French Vanilla Creamer AKA Liquid Crack
I'm not sure how often I will be posting but until I feel like I can't commit to every meal I might wait til the end of the day and post everything with my workout and a picture.
