I'm so hyper fixating with Kyou Kara Maou that i spended half of the night and battery energy making this meme, i thought i would have time to write some fanfic or draw something later but this took some work and time. I also interpret Murata in the bisexual spectrum independent of him being transgender or cis, but we know he works so much as trans allegory, I like to interpret him in the gender fluid spectrum, i also interpret gender fluid Josak. If you don't interpret Gisela as lesbian then take the second image.

Anyway, this is the Kyou Kara Maou Tumblr post for today. Their headcanon identities order even got in the LGBT+ acronym order, unless you count even being in a ska band as a queer identity in the middle hahahahaha!

I will be forever sad that new fans missed out on the fansubs which translates this scene slightly differently to the official subs.

As a long time Conzak fans, let me share how the fansubs translated the dialogue after Conrad asked Yozak why he rescued him even though he didn't trust him.

Yozak: Don't get conceited! Conrad: About what? Yozak: "Oh! I'm so loved!"

In other words, in the official subs, Yozak is seemingly teasing Conrad for being in love with Yozak. But in the fansubs, Yozak is confirming Conrad's suspicion, he is confirming that Conrad is correct in thinking that Yozak is in love with him.

Yozak is basically going "Yeah, I'm in love with you. Yeah, I'd die for you. Yeah, don't get a big head about it even though I love you more than life itself."

And Conrad is pleased.

In my opinion, the fansubs translation is more in line with the way Conrad and Yozak's relationship develops throughout the series. I actually think that's possibly what the official subs was also going for, but by taking out the quotes marks, they make it seem like Yozak is teasing Conrad for being in love with him (which is also very shippy in its own right).

These two have one of the most complicated relationships in the series and this episode utilised that perfectly.

It may be filler, but in my heart of hearts, it’s canon.

He was about 4 years old when Joseph's infidelity was found out. Immediately brought into the family as one of their own.

Okuyasu

University freshman. Undecided major. Lives at home to take care of his sick father.

Has a part-time job as a busboy at Tonio's.

His brother Keicho was in the marines but is now in federal prison for attempted manslaughter and gang activities. Okuyasu does the hour-and-a-half drive to visit him every two weeks.

He was also involved in the same gang as Keicho in high school but went straight when his brother went to prison. He moved back home to care for his father.

Bisexual. Dating Josake.

Koichi

University freshman. Biology major.

Dormmates with Josake.

Dating Yukako. The others think it's against his will, but it's not.

Stuck up artist. Literally take three times longer to do crit because he has so much say (jury is still out on whether or not it's actually helpful.

So...the nostalgia trip continues.

Current obsession is KKM. *Sigh*. That stands for Kyou Kara Maou. Or ‘Demon King from Today’ is the English name for it I believe.

It’s an extremely weird series and the official translations were not as good as the fan translations in my opinion, so we might have different understanding of the whole thing if you watch it now.

ANYWAY! The point is, I have this indescribable urge to discuss one of my favourite pairings of all time:

Conrad x Yozak!

(He’s officially called Josak, which makes more sense, but like, I like the Y damn it!)

Oh you mean the au that lives in my head rent free. This is gonna be rambly, sorry.

Okay, yeah I call it my university AU but its more of a modern AU. Its just most of them just happen to be in grad school. Like Polnereff not in uni but he is supporting his sister through college. Idk how much of the plot will be around the uni setting. It also involves the community center. 

This is a Jotakak AU, but I love having everyone involved. The focus will be on Jotaro and Noriaki’s slow burn, but I also wanna give space for Pol and Avdol’s falling madly in love with each other in the background. Same with Josake and Okuyasu’s relationship. Jolyne’s relationship with her dad and also Nori.  Okuyasu’s home life. Rohan being a petty bitch and artisic rivals with nori.  Jotaro’s ex-wife, Marina,  is having a slow burn with one of the other researchers at the Antarctic base that parallels Jotaro and Noriaki’s. I want all the characters to interact with each other. Im a sucker for the power of frendship what can I say.
