My Knux Headcanons! (Visual)

I have more details under the read more! Why jade is used and paint details, etc. He also doesn't ALWAYS wear the facepaint so here's him without it.

Why use jade?

Why not emeralds? After all, they're green. It's very simple, I feel like Knux sees emeralds as VERY significant and sacred. Certain gemstones like jade and turquoise seem like they'd form on Angel Island and jade mimics the color of the Master Emerald being green. He'd use it to represent the emerald without actually using any.

The meaning of the facepaint?

I notice when people draw Knuckles with paint it seems there's not much thought into why? That's not really an issue but it's something I personally did think of. The cheek marks are shaped like emeralds for obvious reasons, but his eyes are surrounded by the paint to make his eyes appear larger and more threatening. The tips of his quills however are mostly decorative.

Why mention making rings, etc.?

I personally think that Knuckles makes a lot of little accessories himself from things in his environment. He was raised by himself with nothing much to do, so I think he can make all sorts of little things. Both from things as simple as cloth, and as hard to work with as using stone tools on gems. He sees it as honoring the ground he walks on by not letting any piece of it go to waste. It's why I also headcanon he makes a lot of things from bone.

Jade tooth replacements?

He was a wreckless kid. When you're training to be a warrior you get dinked up a little sometimes. Walk it off and carve a new tooth from jade.

i was going through your posts as i do and then i see it in the tags of an ask a week old. kyou kara maou.... i saw my life flash before my eyes now that was some Stuff that happened in the anime what the hell. not that i remember more than just bits and pieces but still. feels like an ancestral memory.

every situation nigel weiss maxine gets into once his main storyline is complete reads like a kink setup, but the most inexplicable of all is the arc where he is force-fed (ok yeah) a magic potion that makes him imprint on adalbert like a baby duck so for the rest of the arc he calls adalbert daddy (got it, yeah) and is completely helpless and needs adalbert to carry him everywhere (sure) and hand-feed him (yeah definitely) because he is rolled up inside a large rug (not sure about this one lads)

You know what doesn't exist on the entire internet? A map of the world of Kyou Kara Maoh. Anyone who knows me is aware that I'm not going to let that stand in my way.

I culled all the map pieces from three seasons of the Anime and let me tell you something: the art team didn't have any kind of a map either, because there were like, three different depictions of where Caloria was. I blended them as best I could and tried to come up with something that sort of made sense and accounted for the places Yuuri and the gang travel to. I divided Cimaron into 9 provinces for my story so I added them to the map since it's my map and I can do what I like. If Amazon can frick with the geography of Middle Earth I can muck about with geography that doesn't even exist.

I'll probably add some mountain ranges at some point, the eastern continent is really flat. If I make any additions to the map I'll reblog the changes to this post with the same tags.

If you write for KKM and want to use my map (unlikely), feel free. Just be sure to credit me.
